There's been an uptick in empty blogs following me (and I assume most of you). I don't love spam bots/spam blogs, and neither should you. Therefore, before I start blocking spam blogs, consider changing SOMETHING about your blank Tumblr so it's easier to tell you're a human being.

Here are some cool free ideas for your new profile picture that will still hide your identity:

a picture of your favorite pasta noodle

a jaunty pirate

an actual pirate

a majestic seahorse

a fun-shaped eraser

anatomically correct illustrations of organs

a giant, cuddly microbe

a regional dish you want to try

an optical illusion

literally anything but the tumblr default icons

With the porn bots it was easier, just block the hot girl on sight and move on, but these empty blogs are annoying. Please, if everything about your blog is blank, just add something or change something to make it look like it's managed by a human person!

The funny thing about these bots is that it’s entirely due to them using real human names that’s the tip off when I see that someone has followed me to know I’ve gotta go into my account to report and block. If they were like “ball-licker is following you” I’d be like “yes, ball-licker, that’s probably a very normal, regular Tumblr user”. 

also, ironically, ball licker would be a way better porn bot name than “whitneycourtney76groomsbury” or whatever the fuck they are going by lately
