summary : chris surprises y/n by taking her to a strawberry farm

notes : bf!chris x reader, fluff, cuties, super short story

“chris! where are we going!” y/n exclaimed as her boyfriend’s hands covered her vision. chris smiled as he helped her out of the car, guiding her toward the entrance of the strawberry farm.

“just trust me, you’ll love it” he giggled. the boy knew that strawberry’s were her favourite fruit, so when he saw the sign of a new strawberry farm just outside of town, he immediately thought of his girl.

at the moment, chris and y/n were the iconic couple of the internet, nearly everyone loved them.

of course, with chris being a youtuber, their lives were almost completely exposed to the internet. fans would often come up with theories of their relationship, ones of which didn’t involve them.

this is why when the two finally got some alone time together — like in a small strawberry farm not many people knew about — they enjoyed it.

“okayy .. open your eyes!”

y/n’s eyes briefly adjusted to the light before she turned to her boyfriend and hugged him with joy, she practically jumped on him. “chris oh my word i love you, you’re the best ever”

he wrapped his arms around his favourite girl, placing a soft kiss to her neck. “i love you more sweetheart” he whispered into her ear, quickly placing another kiss on her neck before they broke apart.

she shifted her eyes at the field then back at chris. “cmon c, let’s go”

c. chris loved that nickname, sure it was basic, many people used to call him that. but when it came out of y/n’s mouth? he found a whole new perspective on it and he has never let anyone else call him that name since she has.

y/n dragged his hand out to the strawberry fields, grabbing a basket off the pile set next to the gate.

the duo wandered down one of the many aisles, picking any strawberries their hearts desired.

by now, the strawberry basket had little room left. it was filled with bright colored red strawberries, both chris and y/n couldn’t wait to eat them.

suddenly, chris ran to the near end of the aisle. “y/n! come here!” he yelled back at her. y/n, with the basket of strawberries, ran after him, trying her best not to spill them out.

once she reached him, the girl realised what he was looking at, “no way!” she cheered. chris had found a giant strawberry. “i know right, it’s massive” he said excitedly as he picked it, placing it in the now full basket.

“okay i think we have enough, wanna go home c?”

“yeah let’s go”

A/N: Sorry I've been gone so long guys, I've been very busy and had writers block! Also, my suggestions are still open ♡

Y/n had been known the Doctor for over three years now. He'd met him not long after he'd regenerated, having seen Rose pass by and was now travelling with the Doctor and Donna. However, Donna had gone home to visit her family - mainly her grandad. So, it was just him and the Time Lord.

Y/n sighed to himself as he was sat in one of the infinite rooms of the TARDIS. The doctor was somewhere galavanting around the ship, so it was just him and the TARDIS.

"You know, sometimes I wish I could understand you as well as he does," y/n grumbled to himself, leaning back on the chair as he looked up at the ceiling.

He heard the iconic sounds of the TARDIS replying to him, making him smile. "You're always so kind to me, even if I don't understand you, you reply to the best of your ability," the man replies, a small smile on his face.

After a few more sounds, he starts to seem to understand what was being 'said'. He looks around confused, assuming the Doctor was walking past.

"Can you understand now?"

"What...?"

"I said, can you understand now, Y/n?" Y/n's eyes widened as he gawked. "From your reaction, I assume you can."

"How is this.. possible?"

"I mean, I'm a living organism that can translate all languages, so why is this not possible?"

"That.. weirdly makes sense," Y/n chuckles to himself, a wide smile on his face. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome, dear Y/n."

"Dear?" Y/n questions, raising an eyebrow.

There was silence for a second, before he heard the response, "Don't tell the others, but you're my favourite. Oh, and you shouldn't say that to the Doctor either. He may get jealous."

"Why would he get jealous?"

"He gets rather possessive."

Before y/n could reply, the Doctor walks into the room, a bright smile on his face. "Ah, there you are!" He looks him up and down and looks puzzled. "Why're you just sitting there not doing anything? At least read a book!" He mopes.

Y/n chuckles and smiles back at the doctor. "I was just having a conversation with the TARDIS."

"Well that must be boring," he replies, frowning. "C'mon, there's something I want to show you."

Y/n shrugs his shoulders, before getting up and following the doctor to the control room. The Timelord walked straight to the door and waits for his companion to catch up to him. He smiles at them, before opening the TARDIS doors.

Y/n's eyes widen and his mouth falls agape, before slowly walking through the door to look at the scenery closer.

The TARDIS had landed on a blue, grass field that stretched into the heavens, touching the lilac skies with stars that shined pink. The turquoise trees stretched high and danced in the soft breeze, with light blue fruit resting on the leaves.

It was an incredible sight, and introduced so many cool colours that Y/n adored. The Doctor leant against the TARDIS' doorframe, watching his companion's reaction, before pulling out a picnic blanket and basket from the entryway.

The Doctor lays out the picnic, before Y/n turns to look at him. He smiles brightly and joins the Doctor on the blanket.

"Thank you, this is lovely."

"Well, I know how much you love pretty scenery and some of these colours. Plus, you deserve a nice, peaceful break. After dealing with me for so long."

Y/n blushes softly at realising the Doctor had taken notice of the things he liked and sorted this all out for him. "I really appreciate this, Doctor."

"And I appreciate you," the Doctor replies, before smirking playfully at Y/n. "Now eat up! The food won't last forever!"

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...

Character: Draco Malfoy (HP) Why I love them: I don't. I love the version of him I frankensteined together from fics I read/wrote as an undiagnosed autistic preteen who wished I knew how to be meaner, and was hopelessly demisexually gay for a brunette with glasses.

Character: Uzumaki Naruto (Naruto) Why I love them: Emotionally neglected ADHD powerhouse who thinks "what do 600 hot girls look like? Me with titties and pigtails 600 times obviously" followed by "what do 600 hot boys look like? All my male friends with bedroom eyes OBVIOUSLY" and somehow hasn't figured out he's into dudes and is probably genderfluid. The Haku and Zabuza arc came SO close to "child soldier figures out that making children into soldiers is bad, actually, and resolves to create a better society where fewer people needlessly suffer" but then I think the author got old and forgot his own trajectory in favor of endless spectacle creep and, idk, something about the moon crushing Konoha or whatever. I lost interest in the story, but not the BOY. Also his relentless fixation with that dark haired cool guy he kissed one time makes every other character feel awkward, and I relate to that.

Character: Urameshi Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho) Why I love them: LOVE me a guy who even HEAVEN writes off as an irredeemable asshole surprising everyone with an act of selflessness. Love me an asshole who dedicates his life to love and friendship. Yusuke's narrative is basically "Obviously all yokai are evil. Wait, some aren't (some of my best friends are yokai)? Wait, most aren't (I actually really enjoy the yokai world/community)? Wait, I'M a yokai? (THAT'S why I am the way I am, and actually that's not evil it's just different)??? So there's evil humans AND evil yokai but neither are inherently bad, MOST are just regular people on both sides, and both are worth protecting" and anyway this is a neurodivergent and queer allegory to me, which slaps severely.

Character: Shi Qingxuan (Heaven Official's Blessing) Why I love them: Gender

Character: Luke Fon Fabre (Tales of the Abyss) Why I love them: Nobody's doing character growth like this little shit. An icon. It takes like 30 hours of gameplay for him to become likable and when he does it's somehow genuinely worth it.

Character: Changheng (Love Between Fairy and Devil) Why I love them: (I'm picking only one character per story, which is the only reason Xiao Lanhua and Dongfang Qingcang aren't also on this list.) You're telling me the God of War's narrative is a "tragic princess, betrothed since childhood, can't escape her family's expectations, constantly has to put everyone else above herself, until finally she snaps" story blended with "man who has been forced to live in war, falls for the first person who acknowledges that he, too, needs protection, ultimately rejects the violence he's been forced to endure and enact in favor of pursuing peace" and I'm what? NOT supposed to go insane? Also his nose freckle gives me heart palpitations.

Character: Logan Echolls (Veronica Mars, specifically season 1) Why I love them: What an excellent example of a badly coping shithead jerk fuckup boy who would be SO soft in any context where he's not under constant threat. Something about his mouth-breathing under duress compels me.

Character: Kyo (Fruits Basket) Why I love them: Badly coping under duress, the entire system is stacked against him, anger management issues and the snatched waist of a 90's manga twink. What can I say, a feral cat finding stability and love gets me every time.

Character: Xue Yang (MDZS) Why I love them: Irredeemable asshole feral cat ass man, coping badly at all times with all things but holding it together with a winning personality (gratuitous violence and bad jokes). Falls SO hard for the first person to show him love and kindness, becomes SO soft when not under threat for the first time ever, and then fucks up SO badly he ruins his whole fucking life. Spends more time trying to get back what he lost than he actually HAD what he lost. He's irredeemable. He's irredeemable. He makes apple rabbits for A Qing because she's sad. He's irredeemable. He doesn't pull a weapon on Xingchen even when Xingchen has already stabbed him and he's renowned for violence and revenge. He's irredeemable. I starting writing a post in his defense and hit the character limit halfway through my 'notes to flesh out later' bullet pointed list. He's irredeemable?? Xiao Xingchen could, though, is all I'm saying. The deeper you look into his actions the more humanity there is to find. I'm rotating every single thing about him in my mind like a rotisserie chicken.

Character: Chu Wanning (ERHA) Why I love them: He's hopelessly demisexually gay for literally just one guy. His story is gratuitously tragic but with a happy ending. Autistic Yearning incarnate. He's a burnt out husk of a blushing virgin, and the horniest person alive. Would readily die for his convictions, but won't ask for help. Prettiest wife anyone could ever wish for, with a strong masculine jaw. Total knockout gorgeous with body dysmorphia. Hyper competent with zero emotional intelligence. Widely respected and beloved with intense self loathing. He's never not masking. He's an atticked wife, he's a bossy husband, he's a piece of wood. He's 45. He's 6. He's 20. He's 32. He is catnip for me.

Puppy Love: "Where are those giggles I love so much?"

“Mentalist?” Senku blinked as he looked down at the mount of blankets. “Gen?”

A soft groan was heard. Senku had to fight down a smile at the sound. It wasn’t a sick groan or an angry huff- but Gen’s famous ‘Too lazy to get out of bed’ noises. Well- they were only really famous to Senku- but still. “Don’t feel like getting up today, huh?”

Another groan- this one in confirmation. This time Senku did laugh.

“Figured. I brought you some stuff.” He pulled a basket over, the contents consisting of an assortment of fruits, a freshly baked loaf of bread courtesy of Francois, and another surprise he made specifically for his boyfriend. “Come out and I’ll give it to you.”

Gen’s only moves were to snuggle in deeper within his cot, murmuring. Senku sighed, shaking his head.

“Ah, so that’s how it is. Alright- Mentalist; since you wanna make all these noises, where’s those giggles I love so much?” With that, he pounced upon the blanket mound, worming his hands past the folds of fabric and grabbing a foot.

“Mm-S-Senku! Dohon’t you dahahhahahhahahre!” Gen broke near instantly, the blankets around his face and shoulders flailing with his arms as he shot up in laughter. “Aheahhahahhaha, nhoohoohohoho!”

“Are you gonna get up?” Senku teased, moving one hand up his boyfriend’s leg to squeeze his calf while the other continued to scribble against his soles. “Are you gonna eat the bread we worked so hard to find and make?”

“Buhuhuhuhuuhuhuhut I wahhahahahhahahnt slehehehheheheheep!” Gen squealed, reaching out and trying to grab Senku’s shirt in vain, falling back in fresh giggle fits when Senku wiggled his fingers under his knee. “AHAHHAH STHAHAHAHP IHIHIHIIHT!”

“I’ll ask again- are you gonna eat?”

“FIHIIHIHINE I WIHIHIIHIIHLL!” At this, Gen was released, the blankets yanked off before he could pull them over his head. Lying on his back as he gasped for air, he glared daggers at his smiling boyfriend. “Yohoohohohu’re tehheerrible!”

“I know right? The absolute worst.” Senku reached over and grabbed some bread, bringing it to Gen’s nose. “Doesn’t that smell good?”

Gen gave one last look before taking a bite, all but melting at the taste.

Okay- maybe it was worth getting up today.

PORTLAND, OR (JULY 18, 2023) – Zupan’s Markets has partnered with Astoria’s famed Fort George Brewery for the 25th beer in the local grocery store’s Farm-to-Market lineup. The summer IPA is slightly hazy and boasts a rich golden hue and a bright, refreshing crispness.

Photoshop Day 2 Notes (06/03/24)

Overviewing some essential concepts:

The chessboard pattern is transparency. Removing/hiding the background layer in photoshop will reveal this.

This is the foreground/background tool, and can be swapped using X. You can apply these with the brush tool, which is B.

Press E for the eraser tool.

Press OPTION + DELETE = Fill Selection with Foreground Colour.

COMMAND + OPTION + DELETE = Fill Selection with Background Colour.

We can change our brush types by selecting Window -> Brushes -> General Brushes we get this selection of brushes. There you can try soft/hard brush.

Pressing either [ or ] will shrink/enlarge the brush.

COMMAND + A = Select all things on a layer, then Press DELETE while they are selected to clear the selected things.

You can also change transparency of the tool your using by pressing the number keys. 1 = 10%, 2 = %20, 3 = 30%, and on until 0 which is full opacity.

Here's what each number key transparency looks like.

Press OPTION for colour picker.

we can use the opacity tool in the layers window to edit the transparency of a whole layer.

Move tool = V, to move your selection.

We opened and ellipse selection, and then option + delete-d to fill the selection to create a circle. Hold shift constrain the selection to a circle, but make sure to let go of the mouse first.

COMMAND + D = Deselect

to take a chunk out of something like this, you just have to select a part of the object using an Ellipse of whatever you want, then drag that Ellipse section out of the circle using the move tool, and it will take a piece of the circle away. Hold option to clone a piece instead of taking it.

IN MOVE TOOL: PHOTOSHOP WILL MOVE WHAT"S UNDER YOUR POINTER.

CLONING THE EARNSLAW

I've now got this photo of the Earnslaw, and I want to have two earnslaws rather than one.

Select this area containing the earnslaw using the rectangle selection tool.

Next, right click on our selection and then click copy to new layer, this will create a copy of our earnslaw selection.

Creating a new layer mask, press the "Japan Flag" icon.

We then get this white box.

REMEMBER:

White pixels in the box = visible

Black Pixels = invisible.

Option + Click the mask to see inside of it.

As you can see, painting black in the mask layer makes parts of the layer invisible. You don't have to go into the layer mask to edit the image, just click on it normally and then start panting with the black brush and it should just remove bits of the earnslaw.

First, using the pen tool, make a path around the orange. Then, while selecting, hold option to remove the parts of the path (using the pen tool to select around the areas you wish to remove) that aren't visible, basically where the lemon covers the orange.

When Selecting:

SHIFT=Add to selection

OPTION=Subtract from selection

Space=Moves/Repositions the selection

Next, we make a layer mask from our selection. We convert our path around the orange to a selection using the paths tool, or by right clicking our path and clicking convert to selection. Now, with our selection, we go to our layers and click our mask tool which will create a mask from our selection. Afterwards, with our mask selected, we can now adjust the hue/brightness of our orange, turning it purple.

Window -> Paths, we're going to create a hue layer on these leaves. We now double click work path, and then add our hue layer (make sure you have a copy of the background).

As you can see we now have the ability to colour just these five leaves.
