hello, could I ask for reaction hdcns for Anne, toma, nayuta, shiki when his s/o fem accidentally lets out a: wow how handsome :0 when she sees a random person passing by, but then she realizes that she said it loudly and tries to apologize to them, saying "but you are more so, love" :'D jeje , this all~ thank yuuu for your works *kiss on the forehead*
Anne Faulkner:
Anne’s not above admiring the beauty of others as long as they feel sufficiently loved by you, as in, you’re the type to deliver them compliments daily so they know exactly how you feel about them. They wouldn’t stop you from showering them in compliments after just because you were nervous about hurting their feelings, laughing it off and saying they were confident that you found them much more attractive than some random, handsome stranger.
Anne tells you to keep the compliments coming, a pretty smile on their face as they see how creative you can get and how many parts of them you can compliment. They wrapped their arms around you, talking about how sweet you truly were to think of their feelings even when it was over something silly like commenting on a stranger's look. They do say you better only have eyes for them, or else~
Nayuta Yatonokami:
Nayuta really wants to push that stranger off a cliff for some odd reason, pouting at you but not saying much of anything. It was embarrassing to admit that he got jealous from you simply complimenting another person, when it was clear your feelings for him were something much more special. Yet he still feels a sense of unease, shifting nervously when you started to compliment him as he almost felt like you were just saying things to tide him over.
Nayuta is still pouty even when you’re complimenting them and once you’re alone, he makes it known why he’s unhappy. You can only apologize so many times but you do understand why he’s upset, promising that you meant nothing by your comment. You wouldn’t do it again if it hurt his feelings like this, and he’s insistent that his feelings weren’t hurt, nobody would want their significant other looking at someone else while they were together.
Shiki Ando:
Shiki seemed to laugh it off but his eyes are downcast, his negative thoughts seeping through the barrier that he tried so hard to keep up. He knew that your comment was an innocent one, just a brief thought as the person walked by, and you’d probably forget all about it — but he wouldn’t. It made him worry that he wasn’t handsome enough for you, that maybe if someone nicer looking came along (with a better personality than his shy, awkward one) you might find yourself more drawn to them.
It does make Shiki happy to hear you say that he’s much more handsome, hiding the blush on his face as he mumbled you didn’t have to say that just to cheer him up. The more insistent you are the more introverted he becomes, always struggling to take compliments but especially now when you were trying to convey the true extent of your affection for him.
Toma Hikage:
Toma’s ears perked up at the sound of your comment, head turning to the person in question as he has you point them out. He had to admit you were right, not really bothered by you complimenting this person but finding he had a few judgments of his own to give. His skin could use a little work, and his hair was a little dull — he was only being harsh because he wanted all your attention and he knew that. Toma knocked his arm against yours, giving his perfect idol smile and asking what you might say about him if he was a stranger you randomly passed on the street.
Toma keeps smiling through your compliments because you know exactly what he likes to hear, knowing all his hard work in maintaining his pretty face was being properly appreciated. He hooked his arms with yours, telling you he wasn’t that upset or even jealous, because he knew you would never hurt him like that.

BIRTH CHART ANALYSIS: Anne Perry (Juliet Hulme)
More about this case on my last post HERE❕
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHO TF IS ANNE PERRY? Juliet Hulme's secret identity as crime novelist Anne Perry was discovered in 1994. Anne Perry and her best friend Pauline Parker killed Paulines mother with a brick and by choking her when they were just 15 & 16 years old. I have a post about them HERE. Perry says she never felt any sorrow over the death of Parker's mother because she hardly knew the woman. She blames her participation in the murder on being ill and on drugs. She also blames it on her former best friend Pauline. Today she is 84 years old.
North Node conjunct Mercury: It was a part of her life path to become an author. She handled a lot of her issues by writing. Made a living out of her memories & thoughts. Her dream from a young age was to become a published writer which she did. Mercury is also her MC ruler so she was destined to have a great career.
Waldemath Lilith conjunct Sun: She experienced a lot of Lilith related issues. She was outcasted(her own fault). It said in Paulines diary they had a sexual relationship which was not well recieved in 1954. She had a lot of Lilith traits to her personality like refusing to be silenced, refusing to let outcasting get to her and being obsessive in relationships. She also talked back to her male french teacher (This was 1954 and she was a 15 y/o girl talking back to a grown man) Waldemath Lilith is one of the most intense Liliths in my opinion. Lilith represents the dark feminine and unfortunately a very nasty side of that dark feminine.
Lucifer in the 1st house: Asteroid Lucifer is a lot about pride. She had such a damaged sense of pride that even to this day she have a hard time admitting what she did was wrong and is blaming other people for her crime. She holds her head high and smiles while talking about the murder. When asked if she ever thought about her victim she said "No. She was somebody I barely knew."
Dejanira conjunct Midheaven: Made a career out of how she victimized another human. A lot of her other books also have the theme of victimhood and abuse. She was later exposed very publicly.
Adonis conjunct Mars: She is very charming and good looking and always was. In her teenyears she was snobby and very arrogant. She was always very interested in status.
Lilith in Capricorn in the 2nd house: The 2nd house rules our morals and values, so an asteroid like Lilith can create some issues here. Anne had no problems with making money out of her crimes. She also had no issues with blaming the murder on her friend. Lilith in Capricorn shows how career oriented she is and how she always cared about status and money, even from a young age.
Ruler of the 8th in the 2nd house: She made A LOT of money out of killing someone. Not only the money she got from the book but also the movie became a success.
Jupiter in the 3rd house: She is very good at writing and communicating. Very manipulative and intelligent. Communication is definitely her strength. She also have a way of speaking that makes you listen to what she says.
Neptune conjunct Midheaven: Known for her great sense of fantasy when it comes to her other books (I hope shes not talking about herself in those too💀since her books are all crime novels). Also known now for lying. Neptune is also her 4th house ruler and shes known for what she did when she was still considered a kid.
Neptune conjunct Mars: She easily dissasociates and puts blame on others. She was extremely delusional and used to fantasize A LOT, i mean common she had her own world that she called ”The 4th world” She tried to say she felt forced to kill but former schoolmates were quick to come forward with how they remembered Juliet Hulme as a girl who didn't do anything she didn't want to. She was the boss in that relationship. She comes across as nicer than she really is.
Asteroid Lilith in the 3rd house: She wrote very taboo crime novels. She had a lot of issues with fantasy and was extremely delusional. Constantly creating fantasies around herself. She made up a world called ”The 4th world”. She had a very disturbing mind cracking jokes about the murder during trial. Her mind was fixated on having someone to control.
Venus conjunct Ascendant: Last but not least. Doesnt Venus 1st housers just seem to be so…blessed? Its like everything works out perfectly for them. And lets be honest if she was ugly people would see her as a monster for what she did. This is said about her: ”Juliet Hulme, daughter of a prominent English couple, came to New Zealand as a young girl when her father was recruited for a university position in Christchurch. Her lack of social skills did not stop the physically striking Juliet from making an impression on her classmates, albeit it, for the most part, a negative impression. ” She was born to rich parents and she is now rich because of her books(because of her murder).
ASTEROID NUMBERS: 1930, 16, 1181, 2101, h58, h21, h12, h13, 157, 7066, 3
In this video she talks about it:

Annie (Chapter 1)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Anne Sallow x M!MC Rating: PG Content Warning: Mention of parents’ death, mention of attempted homicide Word Count: 2.9K Summary: It was the end of spring before the 5th year of Hogwarts started. Anne Sallow became close to a boy who delivered her potions every week. Jonah Wilkinson was an American muggle-born, adopted by a family who lived a few villages away. She took comfort in his presence, but things changed after the summer began and Sebastian came home. Author's Note: This is my first published HL fic. I love Anne and hate Solomon lol. English is my third language. Details about my MC Jonah here
The pain was excruciating. No matter how often they had appeared, Anne could never get used to it. She dropped to the floor, and the uncooked vegetables for her supper were scattered.
She sat there for a minute, holding the side of her abdomen for relief. She was left alone in the house, and the pain turned her cold with sweat, even with the warmth coming from the fireplace.
She didn't notice a knock coming from her door at that moment. But that person behind the door surely heard her cry and excused himself into the house.
"Miss Sallow..?” A concerned voice approached, it was boyish, youthful sounding.
“My goodness! What happened?" She heard his footsteps rushing to her side with a hint of panic in his voice, and then she could see his face when she looked up.
She almost mistook him for Ominis Gaunt, but with freckles on his face that softened his features, deep brown eyes with a seemingly functioning sight, and red-brown hair that stuck out of his hat.
She took the hand that he offered, as she had no luxury to be wary about this seemingly kind stranger.
His arms lifted her with ease, which was a bit of a surprise since he didn't look the age to have that strength. She limped to her usual seat in her cottage house.
Swiftly, the boy picked up the vegetables she dropped on the floor. Anne almost felt bad for letting him do so, and for being in a poor state at their first meeting.
The pain ceased and it dawned on her who he might be. She was expecting a potion delivery from Mrs. Wilkinson, the healer from another village.
"Thank you." Anne was still seated when he put the basket of vegetables on the table.
"Don't worry, miss Sallow." The boy smiled. He grabbed the satchel he left on the floor, and took out a few bottles of potions for her.
"Just Anne, please.”
"Alright, Anne.” He was a bit hesitant to call a customer so familiarly at first. But it sounded more natural for them, given their similarity.
“Are you the Wilkinson boy?”
“Yes, I’m Jonah, Jonah Wilkinson." Jonah smiled.
"I hope it wasn't too much trouble finding our address.."
"No, it wasn't. And the journey was nicer than I had expected. From what I heard, I thought I might have to take another route. But it turned out it was alright.”
"I'm glad.. the loyalists have been a concern for people who visit the hamlet."
Anne felt relieved to know that she didn't unintentionally put Jonah in danger.
“Do sit down, I have heard about you. I heard that you came from America, I'd like to hear more about it." As soon as she felt at ease, her usual talkativeness came back.
“It’s true, my parents are muggles, I couldn't stay with them so the Wilkinsons took me in.”
He took a seat facing her and felt comfortable enough to tell his journey that he felt welcomed.
“It must be hard getting used to the Wizarding World.”
“It was, at first. But I can manage.”
The Wizarding World. If Mister Wilkinson had only met him on the street and told him about its existence, Jonah would think that he was unwell.
They met in an Asylum, when Jonah overheard the staff preparing for his euthanization, by the decision of Dr. Barebone, saying that children of magical ancestry like him shouldn't live long enough to pass their blood.
“Have you heard the name Barebone?”
“They are descended from Scourers, aren’t they? I’ve heard from Professor Binns in my History of Magic class.”
It was no wonder words had spread about them in Britain. They were considered a big problem to the American wizards.
“Yes. I met one of them, they are the reason why I can’t stay with the muggles.”
“They hated wizards, didn't they? Did.. did they do bad things to you?”
“Well, unfortunately. They said it was part of the treatment. I went to their Asylum, you see.. a mental hospital. I was seeing magical creatures and my family thought I was mentally ill.”
They put him through several treatments, not sure if they were even necessary. One day, they decided it was time to put him to sleep forever and send words back to his family that he died due to an accident.
Mister Wilkinson came to his rescue before it was too late, he went through an ordeal to be able to adopt him. He had been grateful for his current life, although his experience with the Barebones still gave him nightmares sometimes.
“I can’t imagine what you went through. And I’m sorry that you have to separate from your family, you must have missed them..”
Jonah didn’t deny her assumption, he did miss his family. Fortunately, Mister Wilkinson occasionally looked into their life when he visited America, just to let Jonah know that they were safe.
Mister Wilkison said that he would put himself and the rest of the wizarding world in danger had he stayed. The Ministry obliviated them for the sake of secrecy, and now they had no recollection of their son. Jonah had to accept that bitter reality.
“I do miss them sometimes. But if they are doing well, then I’m happy enough.”
“I’m glad that they are doing fine. I miss mine too sometimes, I lost my parents before I came to Hogwarts.”
Anne stared down, the look in her eyes was of nostalgia rather than grief. But to Jonah, losing one’s parents to death sounded more painful than his own experience. Now it explained why she lived with her uncle.
“Oh, I’m sorry..”
“It happened many years ago, I have come to accept it. But I still remember that they were both professors. If they were alive, I would be one of their students.”
He wished he could relate to talks about being in a Wizarding school. Years had gone by after his 11th birthday and his letter never came to their door.
Jonah's magical sign was too weak, and perhaps that was the reason. He felt bad about himself, as he had no potential to cast a single spell. He might as well go back to live among the muggles.
The Wilkinsons insisted that he stayed, that Jonah was as good as their own. It did put him at ease, and although their sentiments were true, they never admitted the fact that they needed him after all. He had been helpful with the farm, Mrs. Wilkinson’s potion-making, and taking care of Mr. Wilkinson’s aging mother.
Anne had been listening with interest. The skin around her eyes was reddened with months of illness and sleep deprivation, but even then Jonah could see the sense of adventure that she gave off.
She enjoyed living in the Highlands, but it could feel narrow sometimes. If she were to make it, she could see herself sailing across the ocean and to another continent, observing how the wizarding world ran in the new world.
But her uncle seemed to be convinced that almost nothing could be done about her curse, and it killed the remaining hope inside her.
Mrs. Wilkinson's potion was the last resort, and if nothing worked, they would stop trying.
Jonah realized that he had forgotten something when he looked at the uncooked vegetables on the table.
"Were you going to cook something?" His question indicated a bit of worry. He couldn’t help it when he knew an ill patient was still having to busy their hands with a tiresome task.
"Yes. I have spent my days at home since I got sick. Uncle Solomon isn't home yet and my brother is at school. Don't worry, that pain appears at random times. I can still do things normally."
It didn't soothe Jonah to know that her pain could appear any moment, and it could be more disastrous than it was when he just come.
"I can help you." Jonah offered. Perhaps he could stay for a while, at least until her uncle comes back or a meal is prepared for her to eat.
"Oh, no, no! I've troubled you enough! Besides, Uncle Solomon will be back soon, and it's getting dark..." Anne declined, although no one could tell which one would arrive first; her pain, her hunger, or her uncle.
Jonah was reminded that he was supposed to be back before supper. His family at home could start without him, and they would be fine. But he couldn't leave Anne alone, having to lift pots while holding a sharp pain and no one could guarantee her uncle would be there at that moment.
"Just a bit, miss Annie. Just until your uncle comes home." Jonah bargained.
He did not mean it to be rude or weird when that ‘Annie’ slipped out of his tongue. He only meant it to make her feel that he was a friend she could ask for help, that he was comfortable enough to stay, and that it wouldn't be an inconvenience.
Anne didn't seem to mind with that little name, Jonah could see it when she chuckled her resignation.
"Alright, then. Thank you, Jonah. Truly."
.
"A delivery for Miss Annie?"
Anne hadn't told him that the last time someone called her by that name was when her mother was still alive. But that name sounded natural coming from Jonah's lips, and she didn't find any offense from it, not even just one bit.
She certainly didn't mind being Annie to someone as kind and jovial as Jonah. He brought a new light into her life, and Anne often found herself looking forward to his visit.
At a certain time every Tuesday and Friday, her face would light up when she heard a knock and a playful voice pleasantly disturbing her, sending her loneliness at bay.
Sometimes her pain happened to come in his presence. Jonah could only hold her hand and surrender to the helplessness of that moment. Her pain became his, and the joyfulness in his face dimmed as he took in her cry to heart.
He wished he could do more, but had he asked, Anne would say that he did. By being with her, by making sure she wasn't alone, her pain became much more bearable.
Mrs. Wilkinson came to know how Jonah became fond of spending time with her at the Sallow's. She put some buns in his basket for his next delivery. They sat together in the front yard of her cottage house, and she would tell him stories about her day at Hogwarts.
He envied those who had known her before her illness, as they had seen her at the brightest days more than Jonah had.
Her laughter had a pleasant ring in his ear, her playful smiles and cheeky grins, and he would do anything to keep it that way, or much better as if she wasn’t ill.
"School holiday is coming." Her eyes observed the hamlet. "My brother will be home next week. She smiled, but Jonah could see a certain anticipation, as if something could happen and that she could sense it approaching.
"My situation made it tough for him too. He would argue with Uncle Solomon. He insisted on finding my cure, Uncle Solomon always tried to prevent him." He could see how she turned somber as if recalling a bad memory.
"Why would your uncle prevent him?" Jonah wondered.
"He's worried that Sebastian would make things worse..” Anne sighed.
"Well,” Jonah shrugged. "Maybe there is a cure out there." Jonah had never met Sebastian, yet he already agreed with him.
Anne broke her gloom with a chuckle.
"You are starting to sound like Sebastian!”
They both went silent for a while, Jonah's mind had been occupied with many possibilities.
She had been taking potions from Mrs. Wilkinson, but it didn’t seem to make any difference. The only difference was that she gained a new friend in Jonah, and they both enjoyed one another's company.
"It's getting dark," Anne mentioned. "Your mother would be worried." He suddenly remembered about the talk of the town, that the loyalists were building a new camp around his usual route.
"I should be going, then." Jonah stood up, grabbing his cloak and satchel.
"Do be careful, alright?" Anne looked up to him, still seated in her usual spot.
"I'll be back next week.” Jonah walked to the gate. "Take care, Annie.”
She waved as she watched him leave. They departed with a smile.
It wasn’t a goodbye after all. Because next week, they would laugh together again, Jonah would take her down a stroll, and they would enjoy Mrs. Wilkinson's pie while playing wizard's chess together.
.
The village got livelier again when the schoolchildren came home for the holiday, and Jonah expected the same atmosphere when he arrived at Feldcroft.
The cart stopped not so far from the wall, and Jonah began to see the boys and girls he had never seen before. Some of them helped on the farm, some of them jumped ropes and the others played on the Hopscotch waiting for their turn.
"Our sunflowers are starting to bloom, why don't you pick some? It’s a healing flower, i’m sure your Annie would appreciate them."
His mother's advice never crossed his mind before, he did remember how she smiled when wildflowers were blooming in her little garden.
And now Jonah stood in front of the door, with a bouquet of sunflowers in his right hand and his left one holding a bag of bottled potions.
He was going to knock on the door but hesitated the moment he heard shouts between Solomon and a boy. Anne mentioned her brother being home for the summer, it was easy to assume that he was the shouting boy that Jonah heard from inside the door.
Their argument heated and Jonah started to worry about Anne being in that situation. For the first time, Jonah didn't feel welcomed in this house. He almost got hit in the face when the Sallow boy stormed out of the house in a rage, paying no heed to Jonah's presence.
Jonah stood aside from the door when he heard Solomon's footsteps approaching with an aggressive quickness.
“That's right, out! Out with you! Before you ruin things like your father did!" Solomon berated.
Solomon still stood there to watch Sebastian walk further away from his sight, his eyes still fuming, he grunted with annoyance as he turned towards Jonah,
"I.." Jonah felt uncertain whether it was right to speak now. "Good afternoon, Mr. Sallow. I'm here to deliver this week's potion.” He continued, business was business after all, but he wouldn’t deny his wish to see Anne.
"Take the potions back with you! We’re no longer ordering Mrs. Wilkinson's potions!" He demanded.
"Alright, sir. But, may I ask why?"
"They are not working! You should know that already, considering how much time you spent with my niece!" Jonah could hear an accusation in his tone.
Solomon's statement brought an embarrassment to Jonah, he felt as if all the time he spent with her word was for the sake of it alone, rather than being helpful.
He cherished the moments he spent with her, and Anne enjoyed them too. However, Solomon saw it as wasteful, an inconvenience, and at times, inappropriate.
Jonah was a boy after all, and the fact that he was a Squib and unschooled at his current age made Solomon look down on him even more.
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" Solomon looked down at the sunflowers in Jonah's hand as if they were a frivolous thing that would make a mess in his house. Solomon wanted this to be done with, and for Jonah to go already.
"Yes, sir, I.." He held the flower hanging in his left hand, his stare full of hope. "Can I see Annie? Is she alright?"
Please, Jonah didn’t say it out loud but he meant it with pleading eyes, let me see my Annie, even just for a while.
"She is not in the position to receive a guest! I expect you to look into the situation! I appreciate your intention, but she wouldn't need those flowers!" Solomon shot him a scornful look that sent Jonah a few steps back in intimidation.
"Now, good day to you!" Solomon bid him farewell. For a glance, Jonah saw Anne's hopeful look from the door. She could only watch when her uncle treated Jonah so unpleasantly. It made her heart sink to see her uncle decide on her behalf.
Her pain came just a moment before Jonah's arrival and it led to today's argument between Solomon and Sebastian. As much as she wanted to defend Jonah, she couldn't bring herself on her feet without the pain sending her back down to her seat.
“Wait, sir!"
Solomon slammed the door shut in front of Jonah. It sent Anne a startle, she could feel her sight blur with tears from the shock.
Jonah stared at the sunflowers in his hand, his bag was still full of bottles, but he walked back feeling empty.
His journey home left an unpleasant aftertaste, and Jonah wasn't sure that he would find the guts to visit again.
He sat cross-legged on the cart, plucking the sunflower petals and letting them fall on the road. He would see Annie again. He would not. He would see Annie again...
He would not.
He held the memories of Feldcroft with his Annie in it, dear to his heart. But perhaps Solomon was right, it wouldn't help her.

more on the rage tokens and who i’d want the bad kids to blow up at (continuing off this post)
i thought about maybe having henry hopclap be the person gorgug rages at, and henry having some kind of bias against barbarians come to light. but then i thought about ragh and how he used to bully gorgug and the bad kids. and what it would be like for gorgug to blow up at ragh and parallel how ragh used to bully them. (which was inspired by a post i saw that pointed out the similarities between gorgug saying “this freak thinks it’s mango soda” to mary ann, and ragh saying “this guys a freak” to gorgug about the whole stealing fabian’s backpack thing)
for fabian i was thinking either the hangman or mazey. mazey has been shown to be the only person who checked in on how fabian was doing being all alone at seacaster manor by himself. and fabian has definitely been doing better about being nicer to her after the first time he blew her off at the shrimp party/campaign announcement. i’d like to see fabian blow her off again and her get to be angry about it and hold it against him
listen i’ve been trying to think of a good one for fig that would hurt. and obviously ayda would be THE choice, but sadly she’s not around rn. and neither is gilear really (which would also be an interesting choice bc fig always talks gilear up and loves him (and like in freshman year it was said that gilear told fig she wasn’t a faeth, and i would love to see that brought up again)) so i was thinking sandra lynn. they’ve already got a rocky relationship in the sense that they’ve been shown to fight and argue before, but fig’s got a lot of dirt on her mom that she could totally throw in her face which would def hurt

#939: poppy sweeting headcanon post - 1
Tagging @caramel-hufflepuff and @thriftstorebabayaga right away.
Imelda headcanons posts: >>>1 (sfw) || >>>2 (nsfw) || >>>3 (sfw) I'll probably make a series now? We'll see.
Once again raising my head from the Brainrot fog to share some character headcanons with the world. Brainrot is a fic I'm working on.
Demisexual girl. Hogwarts was rarely a friendly place to her and relationships were no exception. Poppy felt alienated as she grew older; thought something was very wrong with her seeing her peer after peer being courted or sought courtships, and feeling no such wish or desire herself;
Poppy faced quite a lot of verbal bullying. Brainrot: She was never afraid to talk the bullies back though, she nearly always had someone to back her up: 1) the Sallow twins, knowing perfectly what's it like, couldn't tolerate it at school; 2) Ominis is aware of all the gossip, past and recent, he wasn't hesitating to murk waters; 3) Imelda has no desire to play in one team with disgraceful people nor she had patience for anyone who would to talk her down for all the same reasons Poppy was constantly disparaged; 4) Garreth, a troublemaker he is, found certain usages of potions wasteful and utterly disgusting;
These friendships and acquaintances began with ever-so-friendly approach of the Sallows. Anne wanted to be everyone's friend, Sebastian could only help her with it, each could feel if anyone needed a shoulder in this castle -- each was longing for a sense of trust and company friendship offers, which came from the loss of their parents and living with an uncle of rather thunderous temper;
Brainrot: Poppy's first year at Hogwarts was Professor Sharp's second year of his teaching tenure. Students would describe him as an acute wizard but his demeanour was as rugged as his looks. Poppy heard of Potions before and thought she'd never go through the curriculum with a barking menace of a teacher like him. Gran, aware of the circumstances of his early retirement, told Poppy not to worry about what he has to bark what he has to say. Gran's reassurance didn't help Poppy not to be afraid of Sharp and that fear lingered;
Brainrot: Poppy… knows how many kinds of potions ingredients are harvested. How quills are harvested. What it takes to draw blood, obtain eyes, rip off wings. All in exact detail. She couldn't force her hands to grab anything that was taken from a beast; that one time she was made to pick something and throw into a brew she experienced what we would call panic attack. Little shits laughed at her, Professor Sharp send each in a lengthy detention and thus shattered Poppy's fear of him;
Poppy's greatest secret -- coming from a family of poachers -- isn't exactly a secret for anyone of the staff members. They took it upon themselves not to let Poppy repeat her parents' footsteps, instead, they re-acquainted her with her family's legacy, Havelock Sweeting was an important part of it for her. Unicorns typically avoid wizards -- and he was a wizard;
Poppy knew she had in her -- to shut bullies' mouths -- but she couldn't figure out how to do that. The Sallows could fight back; Anne spent quite a hefty amount of time in detentions for fighting with someone, to the point she'd put her place in the Slytherin House Quidditch team at risk. Nobody wanted to cross Ominis' path, regardless if his threats were nothing but a bluff. Garreth was a presumed menace. Imelda sent people off with just a stare, and recreating Sharp's bark felt impossible, he must've picked a habit at the Ministry;
Silly as it sounds, she learned a few things from Leander. The guy wasn't a bully but could slip in a rude remark, however, Poppy felt like she was making him a nicer person proud to mention his mom's garden than herself becoming a snake with sharp fangs;
Things got better after Natty was enrolled. They quickly became friends, both sharing grim experiences with poachers and their operations, both being victims of their dishonourable livelihoods. Natty, too, had a snap to her. No one dared to speak badly of them, but Poppy sensed, it was only delaying the inevitable. After the school would be over, who would save her then? How does one learn to defend oneself against unceasingly pestering gnats;
Indubitably, the biggest change in Poppy's life was MC. Frankly, she couldn't ever come to think all she needed was a dragon, its egg, and a reckless friend who would get scared to death midway through the returning of said egg to its mum.
If you've any requests for certain headcanons, including nsfw ones, send an ask or leave a reply.

When getting back to Amphibia
Sasha: Oh hey, my old boots! I wonder... *turns them upside down and 27 daggers fall out*
Marcy: Sasha, how did you even walk?!
Anne: Never mind that, how did you sleep? I know you move in your sleep AND that you were sleeping with your armor on so how did you even get a blink of shut-eye?
Sasha: Oh, well, it's really simple.
Sasha: I didn't.
It’s then that Anne and Marcy realized that Sasha became a lot nicer after Amphibia, not just because she became a better person but also because she didn’t have daggers jabbing her feet all the time back on Earth.

OK I absolutely adore Stede as a character, but I'm disappointed with how they handled him in season 2.
Achieving fame and respect as a pirate was his main goal throughout the whole show, and once he got there by murdering Ned, it's painfully obvious he regrets it (or at least feels badly about it). And then he chooses to have sex with Ed instead of talking about it, going against his whole motto in season 1--talk it through as a crew. It makes sense, it's much easier to avoid hard feelings, but they didn't even talk about it the morning after.
Instead, Stede doubles down and gets drunk at Spanish Jackie's and lights a man on fire as a joke. We never see how this affects Stede. He murdered Ned and lit a dude on fire and it's just...not addressed? And then he finds Ed (who doesnt know that Stede LIT A MAN ON FIRE), and they break up again. He literally calls Ed a coward. Which like, true! Ed has commitment issues like a bitch, but like are you really not going to run after him?
Like damn, Anne and Mary were right. They don't know how to love without hurting. They are fucking 14 year old boys. Just imagine this:
"I think Anne and Mary were right," Ed mutters.
"What?"
"Anne and Mary were right. We don't know how to love each other, Stede."
Stede takes Ed's hand.
"Then let's figure it out."
But instead, the next time they see each other, Ed says he loves Stede, and he's sorry for being a dick. And Stede says life's a dick. I think with the constraints on season 2, this was a pretty good concise way to tie that issue up. But there's still so much that's going unsaid.
Ed didn't leave to become a fisherman. He left so he wouldn't be hurt by Stede leaving again. He left because Stede killed a man, and he can't become a better person if Stede is fucking killing people.
And Stede didn't kill people because he's a killer at heart. He killed because all he wanted was to be respected. To be a man. From childhood, he was taught that violence was synonymous with masculinity. But in his heart, he liked picking flowers and walking in nature and rowing out onto the lake.
That's who Stede is. He's gentle. And I'm kind of heartbroken that that part of his character is gone.
He doesn't need to be sexy, dominant, violent, masculine to be a man. To be loved. Ed fell in love with the silly, sensitive, gentle Stede who had a secret closet full of frilly fabric and summer linens. He fell in love with the Stede who told him he wears fine things well. He fell in love with the Stede who swapped his clothes with him just for fun.
If I wrote season 2, I would have the first half of the season stay pretty much the same. But, when Stede kills Ned and achieves infamy as a pirate, I would have him discover that he is deeply unhappy even though he has everything he thought he ever wanted. I would have him realize that he doesn't know who he is, and who he wants to be. And THEN I would have him and Ed TALK ABOUT IT.
Stede would day something like "I thought I'd be happier." And Ed would say, "I told you so" only in a nicer way. And then Ed would tell him about why he fell in love with Stede in the first place. And Stede would shake his head in disbelief and Ed would keep going. He would say how alive he felt with him, and how enchanted he was with Stede. He would tell Stede that he'd love him even if he wasnt a pirate. And then Stede would start to feel like himself again, and say the same back to Ed. And then they hug!!!
Anyway TLDR: I love Stede but bro is not a murderer and they should have explored his identity crisis much more.
Also: I know that there were a lot of constraints on season 2, so I'm not directing blame at any one person. I'm still disappointed though. They deserved much more time to properly tell their stories.

After my rewatch of the '94 IWTV film, I've got a new appreciation for Antonio Banderas as Armand.
Tumblr media
Oh, I still love him. (Anne loved him too btw. Her issue with casting was mainly with Tom, but then she took it back after seeing how good he was- ok i'm getting sidetracked here)
But I've realized that he's both different but also similar to the book version of Armand. And it's mainly how he played it. I feel like Assad has so far played book!Armand's personality more accurately (no hate to either actor, I love them both), while Antonio is more overtly seductive. But it still fits well with book!Armand's actions and dialogue, if that makes sense?
Like, I view Louis' interactions with Armand as being a lot calmer and gentler than Lestat who spent most of their scenes being at different levels of Screaming Queen (affectionate- look I LOVE Tomstat). Lulling Louis into a false sense of security that "well, this guy's certainly a lot nicer than my ex".
Tumblr media
So I think Banderas' smooth, suave performance does actually kind of match the book version of Armand, it's just at a (...much) higher intensity of what Armand was doing in the book.
Look, I've seen so many book-to-film/show performances that just completely miss the mark, so it's interesting to revisit one that not only do I love, but despite appearing different at first glance, still works. Just at a different level of intensity.

I think part of the reason Persona 3 is my favorite, despite the plotholes in the original, is that it doesn't constantly undermine it's whole theme and message.
Death is inevitable but life is beautiful.
Person a 4 and 5 on the other hand suffer constant tonal issues with their core messages.
4 really drives home the be true to yourself message, but it always pulls back before said true self is a problem to society. Doesn't help that Yosuke makes homophobic jokes in P4 media to this day. So like, be true to yourself but also don't be gay. A
nd before anyone says the cut gay Yosuke stuff, that genuinely is irrelevant considering it was removed and is non-canon, and because of how Social Links don't effect the main story at all, Yosuke would STILL be like "Kill yourself fag" even it WERE canon. Be true to yourself... just not too much you know?
Persona 5 isn't quuuuite as bad, but it has its issues. I think everyone besides like, Joker and Ryuji being some super star in some manner feels a little contradictory to the message, but whatever it's not a big deal.
But then you have how the game treats Ann. Literally the arc right her's has her needing to put herself in an uncomfortable situation regarding her bodily autonomy. And like... it leaves a SUPER sour taste in the mouth after Kamishido's Dungeon. There's also the fact Joker is also able to date adult women. And like I personally don't give a shit what a game does or does not allow you to do, but it directly undermines Kamishido's dungeon, and so the whole dungeon just feels insincere.
I don't know. I don't hate 4 or 5. I ADORED 4 as a teen, and Kanji being ambiguously bi back then was super important to me (newer fans may not know, but they intentionally used ambiguous language back then. The Golden made sure to No Homo the fuck out of Kanji though lol.) But they just undermine their main narrative so hard that it's frustrating when I replay them (again. Mostly 4, as I haven't played Royal.)
Making most of the main characters' character growth be in Social Links shot themselves in the foot. In 3 the characters grow in the main narrative, and so it just feels nicer despite the more glaring plotholes.

( nathalie kelley, forty, cis woman, she/her ) ☼ i know it’s a small town, but i run into DANICA MARQUEZ every time i go to THE TRAIN TRACKS. it’s like they practically live there and not PELICAN TOWN for TWO WEEKS. it must be because they’re ELEGANT and CONCEITED. come to think of it, that’s probably why they’re a VIOLINIST too. but i did hear they want to RE-ESTABLISH HER SPONSORSHIPS SO SHE CAN GET THE HECK OUTTA THIS PLACE, and sometimes they like to PAINT BIZARRE MUGS. rumor has it they also like EMERALDS, but dislike EGGS. what do you think?
what is up, dewers!!!! i'm anne and i'm soooooo excited to play the sdv update while we rp here <33333 i'm gonna summarize some bits about danica here and we can def plot! she is like super new, so i would understand if there isn't a lot of meat to dig into there, so i'm totally down for chemistry and seeing where things go lol
she's from zuzu city, she's a city gworl!
she grew up with 4 other siblings who all went into incredibly stereotypical overachiever fields (doctor, lawyer, engineer, wall street freak)l, so she's lived with the burden of being an overachiever in the arts.
she used to play for the zuzu city philharmonic as associate concertmaster. she was going to try to get a step up, and boy was she on track for all that. but one day, she kinda cracked under the pressure and when a rehearsal went wrong, she lost it. she threw a tantrum and in this day and age, that was posted all over the place. she got dumped from her sponsorships for her bad behavior, and the philharmonic asked her to take a leave. indefinitely.
so that's what she's here in pelican town, living with her aunt to recuperate from the hell that she made of her own life.
she's a snooty booty, and she has a tendency to look down on things that don't reach her standard in her mind.
danica's willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and it doesn't matter who she steps on to get that.
she can be charming if she wants, but she's really cranky right now.
she goes to sit by the train tracks a lot to dream about escaping the valley, and hell, escaping zuzu city at some point. she craves more for herself.
she has a weird taste in art. she loves wacky mugs and other oddly shaped dishware.
she only likes the outdoors when you can't smell the outdoors. huge fan of glamping.
danica used to go to a lot of restaurants and reviewed their food for her own personal excel sheet. she's majorly sad that there aren't that many options here in the valley. ugh!
sorry to say, she's a capitalist shill, she will shop at joja mart if it's easier!!! if she can get a sponsorship from them, then she can take a step in the right direction for the resurrection of her career!
idk if you give her an emerald she might do you a favor or maybe be just a tad nicer to you, she's a huge fan of sparkly expensive things but especially emeralds.
feel free to message me here or on discord (zukospcnytail) to plot or even say hi!!!!!

My Headcanons for Imelda Reyes for Hogwarts Legacy:
Tumblr media
• Imelda and Anne were best friends when Anne was attending Hogwarts. She was actually a nicer person during that time. They were an inseparable pair and Anne always cheered her on during Quidditch matches. Imelda was devastated by the absence of her closest friend which made her rude to other students and lash out when deep down she’s in pain.
• She’s hard on herself because she strives to be the best. Especially coming from a family of Quidditch players. She wants the make them proud of her and it’s stresses her out how much she doubts herself if she can achieve her goals.
• At first she disliked the MC because they were much better at flying and beating her record scores but soon she warmed up to them. The MC slowly filled the hole that Anne’s absence once dwelled. She starts respecting the MC but will always be a little snarky towards them.
• She loves to gossip! If she can get her hands on any news or rumors she’ll be the first to hear it and tell everyone. She’s one of the reasons news travels fast around Hogwarts. Which, makes her out to be the mean girl but she’s actually someone you’d want on your side.
• Whenever Sebastian and Ominis are bickering she’ll swoop in on them and will always grab their attention whenever she tells them that MC is up to something and calling them their “little companion” because she knows how they get along around the MC.
• As much as she likes to say she doesn’t like the MC she’s actually impressed with them. Not many students would challenge her and beat her at her own talent. She finally found a worthy opponent to give her more drive to keep training. Gaining her respect that she’ll still show a mean exterior but won’t let anyone else say anything behind their back because she secretly cares.
• Has a clique of friends but she doesn’t consider them true friends as she’s the popular girl and Slytherin Quidditch Captain they just want to be around her to gain popularity status and belittle everyone else.
• Her dream is to become a professional Quidditch player. She fears that dream is extinguished thanks to Headmaster Black taking away Quidditch and hopes with the help of Madame Kogawa that Quidditch will be back before she graduates.
• Imelda can be mean but she’ll never go as far to calling someone a “Mudblood” or “Blood Traitor” that’s way to low and she doesn’t think it’s fair to discriminate blood status when anyone can learn magic and have potential.

From your previous ask, about Hunter: "It especially is good for kid's media because while the clone can struggle with the anxiety of it, their friends never have to actually be bad or discriminatory against them because the point is loving yourself for who you are and not who you were made to be."
Personally I think a story in which the clone's friends become mad/discriminatory after the reveal CAN work, on a condition.
If the clone's original is, in fact, their friend's friend, said friends have all the reasons to be mad/shocked at the clone for essentially taking their place***. The friends would not only have to confront an 'impostor', but also deal with the loss of their 'real' friend, meanwhile also needing to reassure the clone they're still valid as their own person (if they also weren't aware obviously).
All of these conflicting emotions can create some compelling narratives imho, and there's not a 'standard' resolution that makes it all go back to normal.
(Btw it's one of those 'what if' post-story aspects that fascinate me about a certain other animated show's finale)
*** Now that I mention it, there's Vee in TOH. Whose potential is thrown in the garbage in the same episode she gets revealed, since neither Camila nor Luz delve into how messed up it is that someone just took Luz's place, and nobody was too concerned about it
It is absolutely a compelling narrative! It's actually theoretically part of the anxiety that Fallout 4 specifically tries to address with its Synths plot. Robots and automatons who are made to be as close to perfect replicas to the original that only the functions specific to them being robots reveals what they are. Otherwise, they appear to entirely be the person you once knew and even cares about you the same way.
Evil clones or even hypnosis are also one episode concepts that plenty of kid's shows might do to shake things up and mess with the character's heads as suddenly one of them isn't acting in their best interest. Just as a fun fact: I actually did a short lived possession thing where Boscha was consumed by a helpful voice in her head. They pushed her to be nicer, make good even with those who treat her poorly and to also let Luz touch her because she specifically only let Amity do that. She was found out once she consumed Boscha entirely because she doesn't say the F word and in the story she was the only one allowed to say it.
Even the death of one you care about isn't new, either in what you described or in other variants. Many a fantasy villain, especially necromancers, have promised the return of loved ones to them in one way or another, with usually the heroes saying that the version they would create or bring back wouldn't be them or that they wouldn't accept them anymore because accepting the offer is inherently a betrayal of the deceased loved one's morals. Or hell, they DO take it and become a pawn until someone else makes them see reason.
Clones, replacement, etc. like that of characters just has a lot of possibility space which is why they're such a beloved trope that's been work shopped in so many ways. Those who consume more speculative fiction than me have probably WAY more angles and the like than I'm even bringing up here.
Now just to address each: I think Anne being a clone isn't as bad for many because it was effectively a revival. It's still Anne through and through after all so while sure, it's a cloned body, it's kind of implied to still have Anne's soul which makes sense with the Guardian's desire to have her take his position. Can that still have angst in and of itself? ABSOLUTELY. Just dealing with the existential crises of having died at all, or the terror that those around you might of ever having to see that again, is absolutely a thing and its own set of anxieties that would be true without the claim of Anne being a clone.
Meanwhile, Vee doesn't technically lose her potential in Yesterday's Lie. Luz finding her convenient is a good excuse for even the most cynical as to why she doesn't get mad at Vee. I of all people don't even consider it a mark against Luz because she had worried about her mom in the past in this regard so her being relieved that her mom hadn't spent months thinking she was dead is honestly just reasonable. Camila is... More complicated. For the fact that Vee and Camila are both side characters more than anything, I think keeping their relationship was honestly for the best. There's no reason to spend an entire episode making us sympathize with Vee only for her then to be tossed to the side or no longer have a home. Honestly, her potential was likely mostly kneecapped indeed by the shortening but also like... Her having to deal with Luz just stepping back into her place would have probably just been one episode anyways and end with everyone happy and okay with it, or claiming they need time but then being immediately fine anyways, because that's just how this show deals with the vast majority of its more complex issues. Anne holds a grudge against Hop Pop about the musical box longer than anyone holds a grudge in TOH. Well, except maybe Luz against herself.
But yeah, clones, bodysnatchers, etc. like that are just really neat because they deal with some really primordial fears we have as a species which makes their potential close to unlimited so long as you're willing to actually do something with them.

Everyone can hate Sue, but this is my special blorbo. She'll always have this special place in my heart, because she's the character that helped me figure out how to write a character that is not exactly a villain, nor a hero.
Her character was very, very dodgy at first, as I wasn't sure which path I wanted to go down with her. She pinned pong back & forth between being an Ann clone or Ann's main villain a lot. Until I boarded my horizons, & realized it didn't need to be one or the other. She's not a villain, although she could absolutely go that path if the right circumstances or person came along as she is dangling on the edge of that path, just as much as she could become a nicer & kinder character in the correct circumstances or with the right person, but she will never be an actual hero, & she doesn't want to be a hero. That would require giving up too much of herself for a world that has always hated her, as well as putting the wants & needs of the few people she cares for on the backburner, for the sake of that world, & she can not & will not do that.
She is more of a morally grey character with a dark ting, rather then just a black or white, good or bad character. And I love her so much. She helped me grow as a writer, & she's so much fun. Both in writing the super dark parts of her, & the more heroic & moral standing parts of her.
