2, 9 & 22 for end-of-year book ask!!
2. Did you reread anything? What?
oh I love rereading books hehe I have to push myself to read new things sometimes!
I reread the Percy Jackson series, and the Infernal Devices trilogy, plus the first two Locked Tomb books, I read Piranesi and Nona the Ninth both for the first time this year and then reread both of them, I reread a bunch of fave fics and a few fave novels I own, reread Into the Drowning Deep in spooky season, and the The Great Christmas Knit-Off this month!
9. Did you get into any new genres?
Ooh interesting question! I dont really think so? I think I stuck to a few of my standard genres this year. I’m really bad at knowing what genre something is so I lump all the similar ones together!
22. Whats the longest book you read?
I still have a few books I wanna read (I havent hit my goal bc I got sick TWICE in december!) but currently the longest is Inheritance by Christopher Paolini, at 860 pages! that one was a battle to get through.
If I’m being honest, the longest is actually a fic I reread thats listed as 1988 pages, but lets not talk about that 😂
thank you for asking these!!!!

Booklr Wrapped
I stole this from @petrareads - I wasn't tagged, but that's never stopped me before, it won't stop me now!
I got my info from my StoryGraph account, I'm not sure about the genres it's split my reads into, but close enough, I guess!
It's made using a bookstagram wrapped template by @_readbyrach.
Tag me if you make one, I'd love to see them!!

Booklr Wrapped!
As in Spotify Wrapped, but it’s books! It feels kind of weird to be doing this while I still have a month of reading left, but I guess it’s no weirder than Goodreads choosing the best books of the year in November, and it’s a tag meme so whatever. Long-time followers will notice I slipped an unfinished book into the mix. Sometimes you can just tell.
Tagged by @petrareads. Template by @_readbyrach on Instagram. (You do need a Canva account though.)
Tagging @lizziethereader @franticvampirereads @howlsmovinglibrary @thelivebookproject @magnetarmadda @the-forest-library @sixofravens-reads @bibliophilecats @therefugeofbooks but please do this regardless and tag me!

I was tagged by @ninja-muse, thank you! :)
Rules: tag 9 people you want to get to know better
Last song: Dance Macabre by Ghost
Last show: I don't watch TV very much these days, but I ate dinner while my family watched Deadwood, if that counts? I really love the intro music to that show. Almost gave me Far Cry 5 vibes.
Currently watching: I just binged a lot of Doctor Mike videos on Youtube! I love his reaction videos.
Currently reading: Alex in Deutschland by Roger Neumaier and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
Current obsession: Not to be vain, but the stories I'm writing. It's mostly fanfics, but it's nice to have the energy to write again! I don't post until I finish, so actually getting to the point where I can share them is a major motivator.

🥞 favourite book
Fangirl and Carry On, both by Rainbow Rowell. Both are comfort reads of mine.

Enemies/grudging allies to lovers, followed by childhood best friends to lovers, preferably with tortured gay and confused (i.e., oblivious) bisexual.

Same as my favorite books!
🌙 death in a book you would take back
I won’t disclose the name of the character, but I would definitely reverse a specific death in Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.
💡 book you wish you could read again for the first time
The Secret History by Donna Tartt, If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, and These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever.

🌻 Sunny Reading Tag 🌻
Tumblr media
Thank you for tagging me @leer-reading-lire and @petrareads (I really love doing tags! Sorry it took me so long )
🥞 favourite book
Only one? Mean! In that case, I pick The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness.
🌾 tropes that make you go “asfgrthgj”
Found family and unlikely group of (eventual) friends go on a quest. To be found for example in the Shadow of the Fox series by Julie Kagawa
🌻 comfort book
.Astrid Lindgren “Ferien auf Saltkorkan” (Vi på Saltkråkan , Scarecrow Island in English I think?)
🌙 death in a book you would take back
Battle Magic by Tamora Pierce has some heartbraking deaths. In general, Tamora Pierce has several deaths in her books that I would love to take back.
💡 book you wish you could read again for the first time
The Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovitch
Tagging (no pressure!): @the-forest-library  @books-are-portals @blackboard-monitor and @the-head-in-the-clouds

Thanks for the tag @horrorgirlreads and @cre8iveovadose !
Rules: shuffle your ’on repeat’ playlist and post the first ten tracks, then tag ten people 🎶
Wolves Without Teeth by Of Monsters and Men
Metal United by Majestica
begin again by Purity Ring
Heaven Is A Place On Earth by Belinda Carlisle
Daylight by David Kushner
Cha Cha Cha by Käärijä (which I am totally normal about, don’t check my main 💚)
Hope For The Future by Bastille
labour by Paris Paloma
Will I Find My Home by Juniper Vale and Vian Izak
Get Louis Theroux It by Tom Cardy
I find it interesting how there’s actually only one Eurovision song on this even though like half of this year’s Eurovision songs are still on that on repeat playlist. Anyway I think this is a nice overview of the kind of variety that I listen to.
And pretending I don’t know how to count to ten, I tag @petrareads @just0nemorepage @nooksofbooks @alittlebibliophiledragon @letthebookbegin @thebookwormslair (because even though I don’t really know you, you recommended me Jemsin’s Broken Earth trilogy which I ended up picking up) @agardenandlibrary @sometimesreading

Mid-year reading update
Thanks @logarithmicpanda for tagging me! 😃
Amount of books you’ve read so far: 11 (my reading goal is 20 books this year, so I’m making good progress lol).
Best book you’ve read so far in 2022: Definitely The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow! It has everything I love in a book: magic, family, romance, women empowerment, fairytales etc.
Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2022: I actually haven’t read a sequel yet.
New release you haven’t read but want to: The Bone Spindle by Leslie Vedder! As soon as I heard it was a sleeping beauty retelling mixed with Indiana jones vibes, I was sold! Sign me up for that explorer stuff 😂 I’m hoping to get the book soon, so I’m really excited!
Most anticipated release for the second half of the year: Tbh I haven’t really kept up with any new releases lol. But ironically, I found out that Six Crimson Cranes has a sequel coming up in August (and here’s me thinking it was a standalone book), so I’m looking forward to that!
Biggest surprise favourite new author (debut or new to you): Currently, I would say Elizabeth Lim. I haven’t even finished Six Crimson Cranes but I’m loving how whimsical the writing is!
Newest fictional crush: Sadly, I don’t have a new crush lol. So, I’m sticking with my current crush, which is Tatsu from The Way of the House Husband manga (he’s too adorable not to love).
Book that made you cry: None (although Almond by Won-pyung Sohn did make me a bit emotional).
Book that made you happy: The Way of the House Husband manga (I read Vol.5 this year). It’s just one of those sweet and funny stories that instantly cheers you up.
Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received): Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. I finally got the US hardcover as a gift and it’s so gorgeous!!
What books do you need to read by the end of the year: I have a couple in mind. At the moment, I’m trying to get through some more Asian Fiction, like Loveboat Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen, The Silence of Bones by June hur, Want by Cindy Pon and The Takedown by Corrie wang. I also want to get through another series (either the Bone Witch series, the Grisha series or the Graceling series) and also the Lost Kingdom of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine! But it depends on how my mood is 😂
Gonna tag @megsandherbooks, @horrorgirlreads, @magnetarmadda, @petrareads and anyone else who wants to do this tag! 😊
