I genuinely think one of the hardest things as an ex swiftie is actually the fact that most of us really loved Taylor.
We grew up with her she was a big part of all of our lives and it actually hurts knowing all of it was fake.
Like when lover came out I felt seen as a gay person. Like wow my idol advocated for my rights to get married - until I realized to her it was just a trend I guess.
Some of my favorite memories included her songs. I mean my gf and I watched the eras tour in the cinemas and it was such a special date to us.
Our wedding song would've been you're in love.
And man it hurts now thinking about it. Cause genuinely all the bad things she's done and is still actively doing and not being held accountable or you know taking accountability is just sad man.
Not to mention of the scariest things is posting about being an ex swiftie or calling Taylor rightfully out cause we get sent really horrible things on anon for simply raising our opinion.
I genuinely hope people who leave the fandom know they're not alone and my blog is a safe space <3
Funny that the swifties are now dragging Joe for NOT having songs for him in TTPD. Like they just can't accept the fact that Joe is an unproblematic king who actually did nothing wrong. They are so fucking pissed off that their vile speculations were only speculations and the one who did wrong was their fave. So of course, make up some new excuse to hate on Joe. Classic swiftie braindead logic :)
While America is distracted with who Taylor Swift is sitting next to and watching zionist paid commercials, Israel is busy bombing 1.6 million people in Rafah.
Just so everyone understands: these are displaced civilians with absolutely NO WHERE to go.
And Israel has given them 2 options: Be ethnically cleansed or die.
the absolute disconnect of taylor swift by describing her album reputation as a punk goth moment of female rage when she wrote lyrics to said record such as: "he can be my jailor, burton to this taylor" "you're so gorgeous i cant say anything to your face, cause look at that face" and "my babys fly like a jet stream" among others. not only laughable but ignorant at best and pedantic at worst. shes just clowning herself at this point.
you cannot base your entire career on “feminism” and then write a shitty song defending your decision to date matt fucking healey. her entire fan base has brain worms
i hate billionares. i hate climate terrorists. i hate people who don’t hold sexual assault felons fucking accountable & maintain complicity in their behaviour. i hate white feminism. i hate perpetuators of capitalism and hierarchal exploitation. i hate narcissistic assholes who will do the MOST to get any press and make it everyone’s fucking problem.
i hate taylor swift, travis kelce, blake lively, the fucking mahomes siblings, mass corporations, the superbowl.
genuinely sick and tired of the goddamn bootlicking of celebrities and corporations. fine, stan taylor swift. fine, keep buying starbucks and mcdonalds even though they are COMPLICIT in the palestinian genocide. but do NOT pretend to be a good, decent human being, because you’re fucking ignorant and no one wants to fucking hear it.
whoosh so taylor is releasing a song with ice spice of ALL people and you just know that some absolutely aloof swifties are gonna come out w some "see she's doing her best to salvage the situation" bullshit. this is a pr stunt at its best and it's way too fast to not be planned. before any of you say any of that they're trying to fix it, if healy even remotely wanted to fix his past then why the flying fuck is he making taylor do it for him? he's a grown ass man and if he truly felt any remorse he is fully capable of speaking for himself. if anything it's j taylor's latest version of performative activism.
edit: this post reached the wrong audience so I'm adding this bc i don't have the time to respond to everyone. #swifties dni
as much as it pains me to say this, taylor swift does not and has not, ever, cared for her latin american fans. it shows in the way she has never held a single tour act in brazil nor has she actually addressed them in any way.
i've long stopped caring for her or her fake, white feminism, but it pains me to see other people whom i know and were genuine, sincere supporters of hers to be left so shocked and disappointed by her actions during her stay in south america.
let me say this once more: she did nothing but post a single instagram (branded and tailored to her "aesthetics", mind you) story without even mentioning the fan's name or family, leaving the media to connect the dots. many of us genuinely believed she had died prior to the concert, but it was during the second song that the fan passed out. then, after her nightmare of a pr move on her instagram story, she cancelled the next show hours earlier, leaving many fans once again, disappointed.
the fan's family had been having issues claiming and taking her body back home, but once more, taylor, with all her power and might, did nothing to address or help it. not even try to.
but of course - the blame fell solely on the concert arena businesses, because poor little taylor (once a self-proclaimed mastermind) would not even address the fan's name on stage. that's a disgrace. i hope she never comes back. she's not welcome, for all that i care.
some swifties are legitimately so stupid and so willing to accept white women’s inaction and hypocrisy as a feminist standard, it’s staggering. all white feminists have are meaningless slogans abt girlpower (WHAT does ‘not hold a woman accountable for a man’s actions’ even MEAN, practically, when both women involved here have knowingly aligned publicly with awful men?) and a complete lack of critical engagement with what they’re arguing over (since brittany has publicly defended jackson, and he has been present with both her and taylor, which contradicts the argument that brittany is simply being targeted by association and ‘held accountable for a man’s actions’).
let’s be clear: taylor has publicly aligned with a sexual abuse apologist, and the abuser himself. ALL while presenting herself as a feminist, who has spoken on stage abt the importance of believing victims. by extension this makes taylor an abuse apologist herself (compounding criticisms of her involvement with matty healy and previous accusations of racism, cultural appropriation and pinkwashing). this is, simply put, swifties weaponising their brand of corporate friendly white feminism to protect two abuse apologists.
