In case anyone is confused about the definition of life here it is. A fetus that can not sustain life outside of the mother's womb on its own (with or without medical attention) can NOT be classified as a baby. A baby is a human being. A human being requires life and therefore without it is not technically a human being.
If I had not had an abortion at 12 weeks when my, VERY wanted, fetus passed away I would be dead today leaving behind 3 LIVING children and a husband. Yes, I grieve heavily for my "baby" even after 3 years, but if I hadn't made that choice I would have left behind a lot more heartbreak and broken a lot of people.
A fetus is not yet a baby, there is a big difference. Yes there needs to be a limit in place, a cut off date (for babies who have not already passed, are not going to pass for any natural and known reason, or are not going to kill the mother), but I will always stand for the ability for someone to maintain their own bodily autonomy and their rights as a human being to their own life.
My body, My choice. Her body, Her choice.
Keep your bible out of my V*gina!
Fire is catching and it's time to fuel that fire. 🔥🔥🔥

The word needs to spread. They are taking away human rights all across America. They took women's bodily autonomy. A 10 year old child was R*PED BY A FAMILY MEMBER and was DENIED ABORTION IN OHIO. They had to be sent out of state to get an abortion, but pretty soon,, there will be laws in place to make that unlawful. MEN ARE ASSAULTING WOMEN and TELLING THEM that they CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO HAVE THEIR CHILDREN. They are allowing R*PISTS visitation rights, they are taking away indigenous people's right to govern themselves, and they are TELLING US what they will be attacking next; Lgbtq+, and our RIGHT TO VOTE. Now isn't the time to stay silent. Get EDUCATED. Pay ATTENTION. And recognize that right now? Is not the time to stay silent.
Thank you.

thinking about how the hunger games were designed to prove that without society, order, government, someone to rule, we devolve into little more than animals, and how the games themselves prove over and over again that this is not true. We see it in every single game we witness.
Katniss placing flowers around Rue's body in the arena. Thresh sparing Katniss because she was kind to Rue, even though he was making it that much harder for himself to win.
Haymitch going back for Maysilee after hearing her scream even though their alliance had been broken. Haymitch holding her as she dies the same way Katniss did Rue.
Coral's "I can't have killed them all for nothing" when she realizes she's not going home. Lamina cutting down Marcus at great personal risk. And, my favorite moment in tbosas, Reaper collecting the bodies of his fellow tributes, his peers, even the ones who tried to kill him, into a pile. Taking the weapons from their hands. Closing their eyes and crossing their arms in the best approximation of a proper burial he can manage, covering them with the Capitol flag as a makeshift shroud.
The Games bring out the worst in people, yes. But despite the extreme circumstances, despite the exterior pressure of the Capitol, despite the fact that it could mean pain and heartbreak and death, it also shows that people have an enormous capacity for goodness. That even in a situation purposefully designed to make empathy impossible, people can't help but have it anyway.
Snow looks at the Games and all he can see is what's inside himself-- this pure animalistic drive to conquer and defeat. He kills and it feels good and he thinks that everyone else must feel that way too. He doesn't realize (maybe can't realize) that he is the exception, not the rule. He cannot see outside himself, outside his own warped perspective, to realize that the fact that people do show humanity in the games proves his entire worldview wrong.

aah so many beautiful developments today in my community, dreams realizing, que hermosa, que hermosa, life is speeding, up spring is here
i saw an encampment happening on a school campus for gaza today and yessss wow more of those please, i don’t go to a school or id help organize one .. if you doooo… 👀
i love you, there is hope, don’t quit. you have the power to positively effect your community and build bridges and dream up new paradigms into realities. find what fires you up into action for justice, for a better world, and plug into the movement. the time is now. there is hope and change is coming whether you choose to shape change and change with it is your choice.
if &where you have privilege i hope you will use it for the benefit of the world and us all where you can. capitalism is so suffocating. i hope you will grow your solidarity with your community as well. organize, or join an organization. get passionate. find your rage. find your drive.
this years gonna be the hottest yet.

what makes Snow such a formidable villain within THG universe is that nothing he does was set in stone. there was no sense of inevitability about his actions and his brutality. Snow had enough perspective of poverty, capital cruelty, district hunger and not to mention his own arena experience’ and yet he actively chose at every moment to stray from natural goodness. its even more terrifying in the sense that he had the ability to care. Snow is not a mindless sociopath, he displays feelings to others such as sejanus, lucy grey and tigris but ultimately he will always choose himself. his ability to betray those he cared about in order yo advance himself makes him so much more than the stereotypical villain who is forced into his actions.

My son's motability car was nicked last night. Off the drive. I executive dysfunctioned and left the keys in the front door. I would say like an idiot but it's more like a stressed out autistic ADHD dyslexic person with chronic illnesses. So I won't say like an idiot.
No one's hurt. It's just stuff but I am shaken up as my house keys are also missing and my landlord won't pay for out of hours lock smith to come out in between Christmas and New year.
I've secured the door but I am still sleeping downstairs for my sanity tonight.
I'm not angry at the kids who did it and I'm very sure it is just kids. They do it often around here. Steal a car. Joy ride and abandon it or burn it out.
It just makes me sad. They steal cars to joy ride and don't think about the potential consequences of them hurting themselves or others. It makes me sad because they don't think anything "bad" will happen to them.
If they get caught that's a blight on their record and a step further down a dodgy path. If they don't get caught they will properly ruin their lives and others in an accident. It's awful that they are in that place where stealing cars is acceptable to them.
I can't blame their sense of disillusionment, frustration, anger, envy or greed. When the rich get richer and the poor like them and I, are left to get more and more broke. With fewer and fewer services available to help and support, to guide or mentor.
Young people with hard lives, few opportunities who make dumb choices. I've made dumb choices too. I was entitled, privileged and didn't know it and still made dumb choices as a teen. I drank, stole and broke the law. Consequences were something that was barely even an after thought.
I hope the forensics on the car yield something that helps to catch them. Not because I want justice or revenge but because it is better to catch them and save them from their own stupidity and dumb ass choices than it is for them to end up dead or killing someone in an accident.
It makes me sad the state of things and I know as the gap between the haves and have nots grow that crime to will grow. Feeding the hate and further dividing us. Which in turn serves those in power. As when you are busy fighting each other, you become blind to the fact that we are all on our knees. You become blind to the fact that those who stoke the fires of division and hate also have their boots on all our necks. You become blind to who the real enemy is.
Like in the hunger games we all need to remember who the real enemy is. It is not the kids joy riding or the immigrants, it isn't the woke or trans folk. Its the 1% with 99% of the resources, hiding in their version of the capitol and pitting us all against each other. They need to remember there are more of us than them. We need to take back the power.
