This was the first shawl I made, I used Drops Alaska yarns in three different shades of grey (as you can clearly see) and the pattern is the Birdwing shawl by Stephen West. It’s one of his older designs before his current style of chaoticness, I think it was around the time he began experimenting with more unusual elements and shapes in his patterns, it’s from a decade ago. I adore this shawl and honestly wouldn’t mind knitting a second one but with rainbow colours, make it into a pride flag project perhaps?
本物見てみたいねー。 ホントは尾ヒレないんだけど勝手につけた。 I wish I could see real oarfish! (I added a tail fin because it’s pretty 😄).
I decided, while I have a free day, to take some updated photos of the scarves I have on hand. Some of them I've had for a few years and the photos I do have no longer match the style of photos I have been taking recently.
I also have better lighting in my new apartment so the photos are much better quality. Instead of separate posts, I'll just post them all in this post to make it easier for everyone to see. Enjoy!
A magical menagerie would really not be complete without a winged stag, but this one took a lot more figuring out than I had expected. Really pleased with how he turned out though!
I finally finished my #SilenceTee designed by @redearthdesignstudio almost two weeks ago! And I finally got around to taking a picture yesterday! I'm so happy to have finally finished it, it's such a lovely design! . . . . . . #buttercupyarnart #redearthdesignstudio #knitting #knittedtee #yarn #plussizeknitter #plussizeknitting #fatcraftersclub #yarnart #fiberart #fibreart #crafting #diy #fatknitting #fatknitter #fatknittersofinstagram #plussizeknittersofinstagram #handmade #handknit #handknittee #slowfashion #laceknitting https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjx6G7vrXjO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Another gift from my wonderful friend Dace, a bobbin lace bookmark! I'll likely find a way to include it in a project I make so it doesn't get hidden away in a book.
For years I've wanted to design a good Halloween scarf, since I never really liked the patterns available online for myself. But until now I didn't have the skill for design.
Now I'm finally there!
I'll be posting the pattern on my kofi in a few days once I finish up a few things!
