thinking about a batman x his dark materials crossover and two concepts immediately came to mind

bruce training so he can travel long distances from his daemon (which i don't believe is technically possible in hdm but. i don't care) so that batman can appear without a daemon. it freaks everyone the fuck out and basically confirms batman is some kind of cryptid

jason just actually doesn't have a daemon. she wasn't resurrected with him after they died. trying to hide it is a lonely nightmare

Ace (Warriors OC)

An OC that takes place in the canon universe, WHAT?!?!?! 😱😱

(Srry if my lineart is weird LOL)

So far, Ace is Scourge’s illegitamate daughter who was born after when her father died from the battle of Lionclan vs. Bloodclan during the book, ‘The Darkest Hour’. Her mother was named Diamond who was a kittypet who admired Scourge. (Their relationship is more like Tigerstar and Sasha)

In the canonical Warriors timeline, she would had been older than Leafpool and Squirrelflight, but is younger than Stormfur and Feathertail so she’s inbetween generations of some characters. And during TBC and ASC, she would had been an elder.

Ace was raised as a kittypet and was given the name, “Jet” and “Ink” when her first twolegs adopted her when she got older. Good thing was she didn’t have to end up like her father and lived a good life with loving siblings and lived peacefully, but still inherited his curious streak about the wild and wanted to feel like she belongs. Ace had only heard stories about her father through her feline neighbors and her mother growing up. Diamond told her that he was a brave alley cat who died too soon but they were both unaware that Scourge was a ruthless and coldhearted killer. And Ace idolized him even though she never met him which is a HUGE bullet dodge. (UGHH the AnGsT! 😩😭)

How she found out the truth behind Scourge was when she was a teenager by neighbor cats she grew up with who has feared her due to her comparisons with her father and had to tell her that he was a ruthless leader who ruled with an iron paw of his “clan”. So Ace swore that she doesn’t want to kill others for her personal gain. She wanted to feel like her life needs purpose and fulfillment and decided to go on adventures beyond her fence and became a wanderer to discover her destiny and doesn’t want to be compared to her late evil father. She kinda temporarily was in Skyclan and was friends with Leafstar, but later on left because clan life didn’t fit her.

Her littermates are named Spade and Clover, and Heart. Ace was inseparable with her sister Clover growing up and are the “Anti-Leafpool and Squirrelflight.” Clover later on in the future has her own family and Ace is an auntie for her kits. ^^

Once she becomes an elder, she becomes a kittypet and befriends another elderly kittypet that lives with her named Sunny whom was one of the cats she journeyed with in Skyclan and later falls for her and settled down and lived the rest of her life with her mate and current twolegs as a kittypet.

Wings Are A Reflection Of One's Soul...And What You Consume.

Post NTWEWY AU: Hanekoma reflects on the previous changes of Minamimoto's wings and Joshua chimes in, as they observe Minamimoto absorbing higher frequency fragment...stuffs.

A Healthy Dose of Chaos Master Post

While Minamimoto and Coco are in some sort of like...higher plane-ish place, Minamimoto does what does and continues to absorb stuff around him. Hanekoma did, generally warn, Minamimoto not to run around and absorb stuff. The question is, is Minamimoto intentionally ignoring the advice and this might be subconscious or...Out of his control.

Or is Minamimoto absorbing things because that's what he does, and it has "worked" - and will work even better this time, for sure.

(And I'm debating that if it's something he's consciously doing, is he taking anything he can, or if he's focusing it - like, if could try and slowly absorb Joshua's power in particular... would that be helpful? And if Joshua is aware...they could both dance on the edge of disaster.)

I figured a good way to show his changes would be through his wings. I wrote about a potential link between Reaper wings, Soul Pulvis wings and Felidae Cantus' floating eyes in more detail here. We've seen Minamimoto get his wings messed up from Taboo, so why not Soul Pulvis? And for Another Day Minamimoto, his wings could create the floating eyes in the Felidae Cantus fight.

Small head-cannon from working on these panels: Hanekoma loves freely broadcasting his "writing report like thoughts" and Joshua makes a habit to chime in. Hanekoma can only get so annoyed when he's the one broadcasting them in the first place! There's nothing in these panels that indicate that Hanekoma is broadcasting his thoughts, so it's something I only really thought about after finishing it. Originally Hanekoma was going to be writing a report so Joshua could either read it or hear Hanekoma talk out loud.

Miracubots AU

Sooooo, me and a friend reconnected after a few years of silence (Thanks depression) and discovered not only do we still share similar old fandom brainrot, but we share NEW fandom brain rot and have very similar opinions about the Miraculous series, which lead into the brainrots fusing and with their permission. I present. THE MIRACUBOTS AU

AKA What if we took the cool and interesting magic system and initial set up of Miraculous....AKA the only good bits, and put it in a show with great writing and characters who we love and who deserve to go feral on a villain every now and again?

The AU takes place instead of the canon season four, Cody is aged up a little to 14/15, Doctor Morroco never lost his Verns device to Madeline Pynch so he's still around to be a menace, and the Prime bots...We haven't fully established if Prime is still happening, or if it's after RiD but the Autobots are still around and mentioned occasionally. And since it's a different version of season 4, the bots are still undercover to the town, only the family knowing they are sentient.

Madeline takes stage as the main villain of the series having acquired the Butterfly Miraculous and after discovering Nooroo and it's power, forcing the Kwami to tell her all about the other Miraculous, including the fact that using two of them, the Ladybug and Black Cat together gives one the power to alter reality.

Seeing an easy way to get her goal of being the riches and most powerful person on the planet, she forces Nooroo to tell her where the Miracle box is, but the poor Kwami can only confirm he senses it on Griffin Rock. With her goal in mind Pynch uses the Butterfly to become Swallowtail creating her first Akuma to draw out the guardian and hopefully the Miraculous she seeks.

Master Fu once he realizes what is happening, charges Tikki and Plagg to find two children they resinate strongly with to become the new holders of their Miraculous, reasoning that Children will be easy to teach and control, and he'd be better able to take the Miraculous back from children if the pair chose poorly.

To no one in this fandom's surprise, Cody Burns is who's picked by Tikki to be her holder. He does try to convince her to go to his dad or siblings so they can protect her after she tells him she's what the Akuma is after. But Tikki insists that she picked the right person to be her holder able to sence Cody having a loving heart full of courage.

Cody becomes the new Ladybug Hero Beetletron! looking very much like a miniature version of one of the Rescuebots, though one with a beetle Altmord, when he asks about it Tikki explains that it's because well, the Rescuebots have more or lest become his mental image of what a hero should *be* and thus the Miraculous copied their form. The name comes from Cody trying to think of a Cybertronian sounding name and vaguely remembering hearing the bots talk about some important mech from Cybertron....something-tron? Well it sounds robotic and he's a beetle so, Beetletron!

Fighting against the Akuma he's joined by another hero, a girl in a cyber punk looking get up, dark leathers and neon greens with a head covering mask, she even has a USB cable acting as a tail that she can use with her tech knowhow to hack! The new Black Cat introduces herself as Felidae Fatale, named for the scientific cat family Felidae, and well, she might not be the classic version of a Femme Fatale, she'll prove she can be just as badass as they can be.

Working together feeling like they've known each other for years though they just met, they beat the Akuma, and when Swallowtail makes her threat to claim their Miraculous's they confidently announce they'll make sure a villain like her, never wins.

In the aftermath the pair meet up and agree, keeping a secret identity from the other would be pretty silly considering the life and death danger their in, so. Reveal themselves.

And Cody laughs crying as he hugs his best friend Frankie, as there really could be no other person it would be.

Time for my breakdown of the four main characters for my WereKat AU! (Forewarning: This is going to be a long post and there will be a lot of images)

Throwing a tag to @resuri-art! You are the reason this AU appeared in my brain, therefor you must suffer the consequences! 😂

I'm going to start with Bakura, since he's kinda the most 'normal' out of the four (I use the word 'normal' very loosely)

Bakura is the only Human in the group. He's not like most Human's however, as he was found and raised by Naga when he was very young. He knows he obviously had a human family once, but he doesn't remember them.

His Naga family had to learn a lot when it came to raising a Human child ('They eat HOW many times EVERY DAY???'). Can you picture little Bakura trying his hardest to unhinge his jaw like his Naga sister, Dia, so he can eat a rat whole? He developed some rather unique eating habits due to this, which is how he first met Ryou.

Being that he's Human, walking into a butcher shop that specializes in Therian meats got him some very unpleasant looks. The proprietor wasn't very thrilled either, and was giving him a hard time. Cue Ryou's entrance.

Ryou is a Vampire (despite his very not-vampire aesthetic). But he's not just any Vampire, he's from one of the most highly respected Ancient lines: Necrophades. Despite his elevated status, he’s never felt like he belonged among Vampire society. He’s viewed as an outcast since he doesn’t share their hierarchical standpoint on things, but because of his status there is nothing the other Ancient lines can do about it.

Ryou doesn't follow the typical Vampire tradition of feeding off thralls, but instead prefers other, more ethical sources. His meeting with Bakura came about when he went to visit his regular butcher, who he pays well to save the blood of the animals he harvests.

Ryou found Bakura to be quite intriguing, and after some time the two began dating and moved in together.

Humans are notoriously monogamous, while the other races (due to their longer lifespans) are known for having polygamous relationships whenever it suits them. Being that Bakura was raised by Naga, his views when it comes to relationships is similar to Ryou's. Which is why he eventually found himself with not one, but two partners.

Say hello to the little spitball of energy and attitude that is Kat.

Kat is a Felidae, which is a feline Therian (were-beast). She's pretty secretive about her background, only mentioning that she is the illegitimate offspring to a Kemati noble.

Bakura met her at the very popular casino/popular hotspot, Geal'drache, where she works as a cocktail waitress serving drinks to the patrons. She didn't treat him with the same disdain most people treat Humans with. They started talking, and as soon as he mentioned his boyfriend being into tabletop RPG's, her inner nerd flooded out.

No one really knows when it happened, but it started out with Kat coming over for campaign nights, to coming over to plot new campaigns, eventually staying the night on occasion because of how late she and Ryou stayed up plotting new nightmare mode campaigns, to her just suddenly living there. Somewhere along the way, Bakura acquired himself a Therian girlfriend. He's not really complaining. Everyone's cool with it, so why should he?

Then Ryou's old boyfriend, Amir, came back into the picture.

(Yay! Amir has markings too! He was my fave to design! His hair so floof!)

Amir is a Leona, which is a lion Therian. His brother, Marik, is the current King of the Kemati nation, and their older sister, Ishizu, is Marik's advisor to the crown. The three also have an older adopted Pantera (panther) sibling, Rishid, who is Marik's personal guard.

Long before Ryou met Bakura, he and Amir spent some time together as a secretive couple. Due to the politics involved in Amir's life, he couldn't be openly seen with Ryou. When Marik ascended the throne (due to a very unfortunate 'accident' that befell his father one night), Amir felt stuck between his duties and his secret lover. Ryou made the decision for him and told him if and when things changed, to come seek him out.

It's been ten years, but Amir hasn't forgotten what Ryou said...though, ten years isn't much when you live for centuries.

Amir found Ryou again, but was a bit shocked to see who he was now living with...and openly in a relationship with. He always knew Ryou to be a bit...eccentric...when it came to who he dated, but Amir never could have imagined Ryou with a Human.

Amir, like most everyone else, sees Humans as less than the dirt beneath his feet, and tolerates them simply because that was what one did. The idea of being in a relationship with one? Disgusting.

But, he hates the idea of losing the person he cares about most due to his own prejudices, so he simply tolerates Bakura's presence for Ryou's sake. The fact that same Human is also dating his childhood friend/devils advocate has nothing to do with it.

Seriously...his old flame and his childhood friend??? What's so special about that human?????

And there you have it! Four crazy people that are now living together and have their own weird relationships with one another!

Oh, bonus! Forgot to add that Therians like Amir and Kat have TOE BEANS (which is why their shoes are designed the way they are, so that not only is there room for toe claws, but also so there is room if they shift into a full beast).

Kitty-Cat Babblings.

Being all-the-cats is a definite ride.

I’ve nixed a lot of my vaguetypes because over time it became clearer they were just cameos and flickers, so now I’m back to just a handful. Eevee and vaporeon, my cluster of OCs, original species and AU canon characters, and yes, of course, all the Felidae. “Felidae” includes all earthly extinct/extant felines, as well as partial/mythical/fictional ones. When I say partial I mean like sphinxes and felitaurs (the feline version of centaurs), for two examples. A mythical example is the cait sidhe/cat sith from Celtic lore, and then some fictional examples would be meowth, liepard, or luxray from the Pokémon franchise.

I know there are people out there who hate their ‘type(s) for whatever reason, but I don’t hate any of mine, except for perhaps the OCs/AU canon character ones when the memories/noemata get really unpleasant. But when it comes to the felinity of me? I adore it. I can’t imagine not being feline. It’s such an ingrained part of my identity, it just took me years to unravel it from thinking it was merely a heart-type/kith to it actually being me, the one ‘type I have the most certainty of. I have felt close with cats from my earliest memories, though, being the grabby and loud child that I was, cats didn’t start liking me until I got older and wiser. (I don’t dislike my eevee/vaporeon vaguetype either, but it’s a bit lower on the scale of Yes, Absolutely, That’s Me, than Felidae are.)

Lions, servals, domestic cats, caracals, jaguars, Scottish wildcats, you name it, I feel kin with it.

Cloche: Steampunk AU

Meet Cloche, a housekeeper maid who can be seen anywhere and everywhere in Nightraven— with a basket of groceries in hand.

She’s known by many names, often addressed as:

• Miss Mouser

• Ms. Grimalkin

• Miss Felidae

but “Cloche” is the only name that stays consistent. Her actual age and surname is unknown.

Within the City:

Cloche is an outsider, but because of how often she frequents Nightraven— always running an errand, be it taking clothes to a tailor or buying the freshest pastries, she has been considered a local by most. Her knowledge of the current events, technologies and trends of Nightraven help integrate her with other locals. Which house she belongs to and who she serves is unanswered. If asked, she’ll curtsy and give a polite smile until the topic changes to something else.

Despite not engaging with the community too much, except for exchanging pleasantries about the weather and such— gossip circles her.

“Miss Mouser sure has a lot of free time! She’s the first maid I’ve ever seen in my life. Why? Cause they’re supposed to be working inside, aren’t they?”

“Ah, Ms. Grimalkin? She’s such a delight. It’s a treat whenever she drops by our store to buy detergent.”

“I got a feel of her sleeve once and let me tell you— no one in their right mind would distribute such a fine cloth for a simple maid’s uniform! She’s either one of those prissy girls hiding out and playin’ house, or she’s working under a madman with no concept of money.”

She can be found…

• Picking up lost items and returning them back to their owner

• Standing by the wall with her head down at an extravagant party

• Waiting outside the city hall or embassy houses

• Paying the Jubilee Port a visit

Good time of day or night! I want to say 'thanks you' for rising my interest to mermaids! I've always believed in their existence (I wrote you before that Jack and Maddie could hunt for halfmers to eat them) but didn't find it intriguing. Like, "well, there're also elephants in Australia or emu in Australia; so what?". But now, I'm thinking to create a horror story about mer-hunters (not as au, original), so, I was searching some info about mermaids that I'd like to share with you as mer au took you over.

And some facts:

* Fishers say the fried mermaids tastes as tender veal;

* They have human type teeth but sharper;

* As you can see from mermaids' skeletons they are the product of human and Osteichthyes hybridation or humans with atavisms, so, their legs was transformed into 2 small fins and there's no bones in the terminal fin. Other fins on the tail are spine growths;

* Mermaids ears have fins (beauty? I really can't see any reason for it). Their origin also isn't osseous, it's cartilaginous;

* They grow up a little wider shoulders;

* Mermaids have scales over the whole body, even on the face. Just the size of scales smaller or bigger;

* Their tailes aren't rainbow party. Tails and whole skin have only 2 pigments: melatonin (like a human has) and guanin (it gives shine for scales and eyes like fish have** ). Of course, if you feed them many-many carrots or red algae they got some orange pigment, the same for blue pigment.

Let's take a break from this morphology!

* People believes they afraid of hot Fe (who's not?) and Artemisia (I understand: even mosquitoes are and tea with this plant can cause intestinal bleeding);

* Mermaids reproduce the human way;

* Mermaids can live in the wide range of salinity;

* But they can't survive on the land because they lost the ability to obtain water. They dry out fast. So, despite that they can use oxygen from air they still suffocates on the beach because any animal need wet lungs (or skin) to absorb oxygen.

** Cats have this pigment in their eyes, too. And according to modern research Felidae familia is the most close relative to Primates, so, people can unlock this gene, hehe. And YES, mermaids better see in the dark

Greenhell au. I imagine Aizawa, as a kid, would have wrong assumptions of what being a teacher would be like. Like, he sees his elementary teacher stressed and complaining about wanting to take a break, and Aizawa would be, "Then, why wont you just go??? Nothing's stopping you". And all of this is because he sees SY, LQG, and all of his uncles and aunts travelling wherever whenever they want to. Aizawa sees this as normal but then gets betrayed, like a kid being told Santa isnt real.

I think Luo Binghe would have installed the idea that "Shen Qingqiu Isn't Like Other TeachersTM" into Aizawa's head instead. No teacher can compare to Shen Qingqiu; no teacher can do what Shen Qingqiu can do.

Thus when Aizawa goes to school, he's not surprised to see how ruffled and tired his teachers are. They can't be pristine, without a single hair out of place, and perfect the way that his parents are. Of course they aren't able to magically get anything and everything that a classroom would need for a in-school demonstration of how exotic big tigers belong to the family Felidae the same way that Shen Qingqiu can procure them (via Liu Qingge).

Of course other teachers can't recite an entire textbook from memory or compose music on the fly. Only Shen Qingqiu Can Do That.

But what Aizawa does feel betrayed about is that even though he "logically" knew that Other Teachers Can't Match Up to Shen Qingqiu, he wasn't expecting the gap to be THIS bad?!

(Also imagine if, since Luo Binghe and Shen Yuan are Rich and They Know It, they sent Aizawa to Ouran High School's elementary and middle school equivalents.)

THE BASICS

“What is Fealty Felidae?”

Fealty Felidae is my original universe focusing on four feral cat “Kingdoms” inhabiting and cultivating a massive, lush dale known as Vitalor.

Though sprawling forests, endless fields, high mountains, and a fish-filled sea make this land seem idyllic if one overlooks the few human settlements and rival predators, a peek under the surface makes it clear that something more sinister is afoot.

Some say that perhaps Vitalor was “born bad.” Others say that the Bad Vibes are merely a result of the Kingdoms’ infighting. Others still especially the more religious folk, argue that perhaps this is the resting place of the mythologized Third Almighty; Re’Malis. Its residents, regardless of the circumstances of their timeline or social climate, however, are all forced to reckon with one question in particular:

What is wrong with Vitalor?

“Is there a comic/series/book?”

Nope! However, I do have some WIP projects under my belt that I’d love to share someday… when they’re a bit more fleshed out ;]

“Can I take inspiration from what you’ve written?”

Certainly! Although it’s important to keep in mind that I myself pull/reinterpret ideas from a variety of sources, some more than others. My inspirations are listed below:
