Fake Emmet AU - Part 3
Introducing: Lady Sneasler and the Pearl Clan
[AU Master Post]
~
At first, “Emmet” leads them away from the Pearl Settlement on the very thought-out and rational sentiment of ew, humans. (Ingo is an exception; Ingo is Emmet’s human.)
But the Icelands are really not the ideal place for Emmet to be wandering around with his brand-new brother on account of a few things like, say, the intense and incredible cold. Emmet thought humans were sturdier than that, from what he’s seen of the humans that wander around here, but Ingo shivers practically anytime they leave the little cave they’ve staked out, and Emmet is 99% sure that’s a bad thing.
…Time to leave the Alabaster Icelands, then!
Most Zorua don’t leave the Icelands, sure, but honestly that can only be a bonus at this point. Zorua and Zoroark as an evolution line are pretty solitary, so Emmet doesn’t have a pack or anything, and he’s starting to worry that if they do stay here long enough to come across a Zoroark, his soul-bonded brother is going to get eaten. This concept is distressing in a way Emmet is verrry unprepared for!!
Leaving takes them right to the only adjacent region: the Coronet Highlands. Still a little snowy, but much warmer than where they were. It’s also less dangerous, technically, but the dangers that still exist are now ones that Emmet isn’t necessarily familiar with.
They run into an alpha within the first 24 hours—Emmet knew where to steer clear of them in the Icelands, so it’s the first alpha Ingo has ever seen, which Emmet doesn’t realize.
Ingo does not hide and then run like he should. He reaches for his belt, for something he can’t find, and ends up getting injured before Emmet grabs him and bolts. He can’t carry Ingo very far, but alphas don’t wander much, so he’s pretty sure they’ve gotten away. Safe enough to take the time to look at Ingo’s injuries, at least—and then another Pokémon shows up, and a very stressed Emmet leaps between an unconscious Ingo and a Sneasler that’s tall enough to make Emmet worry for a minute before he registers the lack of the glowing red eyes.
The Sneasler does not look intimidated by Emmet leaping forward. It tips its head to the side curiously. “…Did you just jump between me and the human?”
Emmet has no idea how to take that question, or the fact that the Sneasler is even asking him questions. “Maybe? Why do you care?”
“I am Lady Sneasler. Assisting humans is my duty.”
Emmet is a baby Zorua who has only sorta kinda vaguely heard the deal with Noble Pokémon. He recalls something about Nobles not being big fans of Zorua, as a rule, but that doesn’t seem important right now when—“You help humans? Do you know how to fix one?”
They both look at Ingo, who is unconscious and concerningly bloody.
“I can give it my best shot,” Lady Sneasler offers.
She takes Ingo to her den, and with her eclectic knowledge of humans (“You can’t just… feed them an oran berry?” “I know, it’s so inconvenient.”) and Emmet’s opposable thumbs, they do all right. Ingo starts healing, and he even wakes up briefly! He’s loudly fascinated by Lady Sneasler, who is very flattered by the attention, and Emmet is verrry relieved.
And then Ingo develops a fever.
He starts having trouble waking up fully, and the persistent confusion even when he manages it really worries Lady Sneasler—and Emmet, who has to admit that Ingo has been confused a lot since they met, but this is different than the usual forgetting, and it keeps getting worse.
Lady Sneasler firmly tells Emmet that she can’t help Ingo anymore; he needs a human healer. Emmet cringes at the idea, but he can’t actual argue when he knows she’s right. He helps her pack Ingo up in her basket and then reverts to his natural form, so that he can spend the journey to the Pearl Settlement curled up as a little red and white fox in Ingo’s limp arms.
~
In any other situation, the Pearl Clan would be pretty suspicious of strangers showing up out of nowhere, much less strange twins, but, well, when one of your honored Nobles shows up with an injured human and his very worried twin in tow, there’s some questions you just don’t stop to ask yourself. And when Lady Sneasler hands Ingo off to the healer, she immediately parks herself right outside the tent, so apparently she likes these humans! And no one’s going to argue with her.
Emmet, very grateful for Lady Sneasler’s free pass into the village, immediately tucks himself away in a corner of the healer’s tent while she bustles about to fix up Ingo’s wound properly and makes a medicinal tea for his fever. He does not want to interact with humans he doesn’t have to; he doesn’t know what will happen if they find out he’s not one of them.
A few hours later, Ingo is still unconscious, but he’s somewhere cozy and warm and he’s breathing easier already. The healer says they’ll need to let him rest for now, and see how he’s faring in the morning, but Emmet can feel how Ingo’s soul is rallying again instead of slowly starting to slip away.
He finally, finally starts to relax with the hope that things are going to be okay.
Then the healer then very kindly informs Emmet that she clocked him as a Zoroark like an hour ago, but Lady Sneasler seems to approve of him, and the Pearl Clan trusts its Nobles. So she’d kind of like an explanation rather than just trying to chase him off. Especially since, if he found Ingo in the Icelands and then managed to get him found by Lady Sneasler, he’s apparently saved a human twice already.
Emmet’s smile feels a little frozen. “How did you—uh, I am not… a Zoroark. I am Emmet.”
“Your hats have the exact same mud spatter on the trim, and the same scuff on the side of that metal circle. Try varying the wear and tear a little, instead of copying it. It’ll look less like an illusion that way.”
Illusions, Emmet decides, can be very tricky when the person you’re fooling doesn’t have a concussion.
Emmet is still wary, so the healer explains that most of the clan is too young to remember, but there actually was a Zoroark who pretended to be a stranger wandering in from the wastes, and then just… lived as a human. Caused no trouble. No one knew she was a Pokémon until she passed in her sleep and didn’t leave a human body behind. So… spiteful and baneful can’t be all they are.
Emmet finally caves and explains how Ingo found him and mistook him for his twin when he transformed, and that he just wants to stay with Ingo. It’s just that Emmet isn’t really sure how to take care of a human, and things got bad after the injury.
The healer says that that, at least, is something she can fix, and starts to tell Emmet the sort of health concerns and first-aid he’ll need to know, both pretending to be a human and looking out for one.
~
It doesn’t come up again until after Ingo has woken up, which is also about the same time that Irida has returned to the Pearl Settlement after a visit to the Coastlands.
Ingo’s a lot less addled than he was when he was feverish, but he’s still forgetting things semi-frequently. The healer is extremely concerned about this until Emmet tells her his memory was already like that, though even then she still frets because the fever couldn’t have helped.
Irida hears about the outsiders in the healer’s tent, brought by Lady Sneasler, and goes to check them out in time to get the explanation along with the healer: Ingo explains his memory issues, and Emmet sticks to his story that they both fell through some sort of rift in the sky. Irida is cautious, but with Lady Sneasler’s presence as a clear sign of her blessing, she gives them permission to stay at least until Ingo is better, and a tentative offer to discuss whether they can stay longer than that.
…After which the healer does take Irida aside to explain that Emmet’s a Zoroark, because that’s something you should really explain to your clan leader at the soonest available opportunity. But it’s also really, really clear to both of them that Ingo’s leaning hard on Emmet to help with his memory, and given that Emmet reports that he didn’t run away from an alpha the instant it spotted him, the healer is… a little concerned about whether Ingo would really make it on his own.
So when Ingo is finally asleep, that night, Irida goes and talks to Emmet alone about the situation.
She lays out a few of the ground rules that she would expect of a friendly Pokémon allowed into the village—mostly rules on how not to upset the people who live there, which Emmet does actually find helpful to have laid out—and then asks him, point blank: “I know you’re only pretending to be Ingo’s brother, but you saved Ingo’s life. So, Zoroark, tell me: does the Pearl Clan have a reason to fear you, as long as Ingo is safe?”
Emmet has a moment of crisis, because this may be very un-Zorua-like of it, but also… vengeance and spite just don’t sound as compelling as they used to, compared to the warmth of this little tent and the sound of Ingo’s steady breathing.
“I am Emmet,” he says. “I will stay with Ingo. Ingo does not want to hurt anyone. As long as he is safe, neither will I.”
Irida nods sharply, and completely fails to hide how her shoulders relax at his promise. She turns to leave, and hesitates near the tent flap. “I… was thinking about insisting that you tell Ingo the truth,” she says slowly. Emmet stiffens; she continues, “But our healer said that wouldn’t be a good idea. Ingo’s memory and health is very dependent on you, and enough of a shock could…” She trails off, and the unspoken image of how Ingo might react hangs between them like a raised knife. “Well, he wouldn’t do well out there on his own. And I don’t want to hurt someone when I’m trying to help them.”
Emmet smiles, and starts agree. She cuts him off.
“But if his real brother shows up, then I’m telling him.”
Irida turns to Lady Sneasler, bows, thanks her for watching over the humans in Hisui’s vast space, and leaves a still-speechless Emmet in the tent behind her.
It’s not like Emmet can argue with her, after all, as uncomfortable as the idea makes him feel—and he’s even uncomfortable with the fact that he is uncomfortable. He’s helping Ingo, isn’t he? But, he consoles himself, the odds of anyone falling through another space-time rift, much less Ingo’s twin brother, are verrrry low. It’s better for Ingo if he really believes that Emmet is his twin, so that he doesn’t have to feel that loneliness. If Ingo’s real brother is out of reach, then Emmet isn’t taking anything from anyone!
Lady Sneasler is staring at him. Emmet smiles at her, a little nervously. “…You are going to keep hanging around so the nice humans don’t kick us out, right?”
“Oh, of course. You’re interesting.” She cocks her head to the side. Her face always has that smug sneasel-that-got-the-starly grin, but now it looks like it’s on purpose. “And I might have an idea for where you guys should go after this, too.”
Emmet suddenly feels very nervous. “And what would that be?”
Her smile just gets a little wider, a little smugger, and she ducks back out of the tent without actually answering him.

emmet already knew what happened to ingo. it was obvious. veeerrrryyyyy obvious. but not to others, he supposes. it’s fine. emmet is nothing but a patient man. he can wait a while until the others finally come across a clue.
ever since he was a boy, emmet knew more things than everyone. puzzles? he already knew the answer before being given it. new learning material. seemingly everything was memorized perfectly in mere moments. mysteries? give him one he’ll enjoy ad it’ll be done in five minutes max. of course this meant he always knew what the outcome of a battle would be but he always put his all in it. after all, a battle is not fun unless both participants are serious about it. it wouldn’t be fair to either party otherwise.
gear station already had measures in place in case if either boss or both bosses went missing. the station was using plan ingo when emmet was taken in for questioning about ingo’s disappearance. nobody in nimbasa thought of him at fault for his brother’s disappearance but it was mostly a safety precaution. also to get the league off of the city’s metaphorical back. emmet kept the knowledge of what happened to himself, it would only cause problems for the station and he would hate for his employees and passengers to deal with everything the league would have in store for them. instead, he claimed he was doing his own investigation but was being slowed down with all the work he was doing to keep the subway running. that unfortunately didn’t satisfy the league.
emmet was getting quite tired of them. verrrryyy tired. he needed a break. but he also didn’t want to leave the station. just because he knew practically everything didn’t mean he saw his employees taking charge and making him use some of his years worth of vacation days. and also sending him to hoenn of all regions. at least it isn't kalos?
now, what will he do when he's on vacation? help people. obviously. emmet is a public worker at heart and he loves to help others. he manages to set up a detective agency and get a fitting wardrobe (courtesy of elesa) in two weeks. he quickly gains notoriety in the local town's population for how quickly he's able to solve cases and how he seemingly knows everything. of course he doesn't do this under his actual name. where would the fun in that be? he gives himself a pen name, like authors do.
edogawa ranpo.
that's what the people know him as.
the people know that ranpo worked solo for two months until the mysterious additions of "edgar allan poe" and "nancy springer" to the agency. little did emmet know (even with knowing almost everything) that introducing them would kickstart another journey to go on. this time with much more on the line.

SubMas:The Fakes AU
Upon returning from Hisui with his memories restored, Ingo enters Gear Station to find there is another Ingo in his place. At first, he thinks it’s just a Zoroark or something along those lines. That possibility is disproven when Ingo’s Gliscor, a pokemon that has faced down many Zoroarks, refuses to get close enough to it’s trainer’s doppelganger to attack.
Looking closer, Ingo notices that this other him has several minor odd things about it’s appearance that add up to it looking more than a bit inhuman.
Tumblr media
Ingo calls the fake out on this, and demands to know what’s going on. The fake brushes this off in an apathetic manner.
At this point Emmet arrives. Ingo attempts to warn his brother about the imposter, but upon looking closely...
Tumblr media
...he sees Emmet has also been replaced.
Ingo leaves Gear Station, confused and worried. Where’s the real Emmet? Why do the depot agents not see what’s happened? Where are their pokemon?
Why do the people of Unova seem so irritated with him?
Ingo heads to Pinwheel Forest to camp out and get his bearings.

since @thelemonsnek posted the comic they did for this au I figured now is a good time to post this! AU details under the cut :>
Ingo got eeby deebied still. not to ancient Hisui, just a museum dedicated to Hisui! he still has amnesia
He works night security. Like the movie, the whole place comes to life at night. why does it do this? why was Ingo involved? idk it’s not important this is a silly au first and foremost
his “warden band” is from the gift shop. Lady Sneasler has decided he’s her warden now because she’s the only noble with no warden in the museum. she kept stealing the actual warden band from her display to give to Ingo. Ingo still isn’t sure how she was opening the case with her claws
Akari is there, and she’s Dawn. she snuck in at night on a dare early in her journey, got caught and gave a fake name, and then kept coming back to visit because a) cool haunted(?) museum, b) as the whole Galactic mess went down, it became nice to have someone who didn’t know her for that. she may have reverse adopted Ingo as her uncle
yes, Ingo is unaware of who Akari really is. he’s BAD at keeping up with current events
he doesn’t have his full hisuian team, but he has a Magneton and Kadabra, they’re good for fending off the museum “pokemon” without actually damaging them. he also has Gligar but doesn’t get a chance to battle with it much
Volo is still a villain. he’s causing the “frenzies” that Akari and Ingo work together to fix. he’s trying to meet Arceus to end his “cursed, half-life existence”. He’s the only person in the museum who views their lives like that, literally everyone else is chill with it. He does have actual Giratina under his command
theres a few versions of Ingo and Emmet’s reunion we came up with but my personal favourite is “Emmet breaks in to steal the azure flute to meet Arceus to get Ingo back, gets caught. By Ingo.”

AU, about a month after Ingo's disappearance, a man is found in Pinwheel Forest. This man is identical to Emmet, has the classic frown Ingo is known for, is a DNA match, and is taken to the hospital with a head injury.
Emmet is ecstatic. His brother has been found! He goes to see him immediately.
There is one problem. This man? Is absolutely convinced that he is not Ingo. He isn't. His name is Alexi. He doesn't have a brother. He did not grow up in Unova, he's never even heard of Unova. He's from America, he lives in New York.
What the fuck is a Pokémon?
It's one thing if he lost some memories because of his head injury, but manufacturing a completely different identity and set of memories? Something's up. That doesn't even touch the fact that Ingo doesn't seem to remember the existence of Pokémon, that's just unheard of. Everything about Ingo screams psychic type manipulation.
Emmet's upset. His brother doesn't remember him. It sucks, but at least Ingo is alive! Not well, obviously, he doesn't even know his own name, whatever psychic type got him, it got him good, but he's alive! And that's all that really matters, right? Besides, they have programs for people who are victim to psychic attacks. It will take a while, but Ingo will get better. He'll remember who he is, surely.
But he doesn't. He never does remember. A month in therapy, a month being poked and prodded by people who specialize with psychic types, and he continues to not remember. He continues to insist that his name is Alexi. That he doesn't know Emmet. That he doesn't work in the Battle Subway, or that he has ever had anything like a Pokémon.
Another month, and "Alexi" is starting to have doubts. Pokémon obviously exist. This man, Emmet, does look exactly like him, and they said DNA samples show a match. Some of the things Emmet says about him is correct. Alexi does love trains, he works at Grand Central Station. He does prefer sweets. Hell, the man even knows Alexi's exact sandwich order. Clearly, Emmet knows him. Knows Ingo. So perhaps Alexi really is Ingo, somehow?
Yet another month, and Alexi begins to believe he is Ingo. He must be. These people recognize him, recognizes that he smiles with his eyes, knows the exact moment they need to cover their ears before he yells in excitement, understands what he means with his small gestures and weird way of speech. They know him. Because he's Ingo, apparently. He never was Alexi, because Alexi was a... fake. Something a psychic Pokémon made up, and isn't that a doozy? That things like that can just happen? That his entire life could so easily be deleted from his mind and replaced with something that feels real, but isn't?
By the fourth month, Ingo returns home. He does not regain his memories from before the attack, and he still needs to get the hang of certain things he just cannot remember. He doesn't remember battling, for example. He doesn't remember how to interact with his Pokémon. Chandelure always seems worried and wary, for example, and he doesn't know how to comfort her. She hovers around him, stares him in the eyes... she must recognize that he no longer knows her. It must hurt. He feels guilty.
It takes a while for him to memorize the "new" station schedule and its stops. The cities and towns all sound completely new to him. He still remembers his mechanical engineering at the very least, thank goodness for small mercies, but it takes a while of him shadowing Emmet for him to get back into things.
Soon, things return to a... relative normal. Battling is still off the table for him, he's forgotten all his battling experience and doesn't really have the time to relearn, but he is rather content with his trains. He doesn't remember his brother or his friends, but they tell him stories, and he makes new memories with them. This time, he takes care to write all his experiences down. Just in case! This way he'll have proof to show himself in case he ever gets uncoupled from his real memories again.
Five years pass. Things are good.
Then, one day, there's a knocking at the door. Emmet is working a shift at the Battle Subway. Ingo is alone at home. He wonders if Emmet had ordered something and forgot to tell him. He goes to answer the door.
There's a man outside with his face. It is not Emmet.
Abruptly, Ingo finds out that... He's not Ingo.
He's Alexi. And the real Ingo just returned home.

Some SFW headcannons if that's ok with you. Can we get some headcannons about Dad Submas with their kiddo (whether separate or a poly s/o au is both fine)?
Holy fuck yes sir(gender neutral) been waiting for this shit
Submas as the fathers of your child/children
Ingo
Ingo has always dreamed of having a family despite that permanent frown on his face being quite menacing to the children. He was pretty fond of kids. Always very gentle and patient. Holding his kid in his arms for the first time, he shakes, afraid he might hurt him or scare him. But who could ever be scared of that soft kitten smile? His heartwarming, when his child looks, sees him, and giggles.
His child is a precious treasure, and their happiness is Ingo's number one priority. Yes, Ingo may or may not have spoiled them a few times but seeing them so happy warms his heart every time.
Like any good parent, Ingo values his child's safety he's a Subway boss safety is part of the job; of course, safety is an important part of his parenting. And it is the same with Emmet. They both agree that their child must know about safety.
Ingo is a first-time father. He doesn't mean to be bad, but of course, some parents make their own mistakes. As their child grows older, Ingo seems to have a problem where he still sees his child as his sweet baby, and sometimes he gets a little protective because it's bittersweet when a parent sees their child grow up. Eventually, he does accept that his child is growing up, and sometimes he won't be there to protect them, but he'll make it known that he'll always be there for them.
I can already feel that poor kid's embarrassment when Ingo screams their names during assemblies every time they get a reward or their name called for one.
He's always having a conversation with his child, even if it's just babbling. He would be having a fake argument with his toddler.
Emmet
Emmet is the for-your-own-good type. He's a serious parent, but he is not unfair; rules are there for a reason and are very important, and he'll make sure that his child knows. He ensures that he teaches his child that actions have consequences; good behavior gets rewarded while bad behavior is punished. ( though not every situation is black and white like that.)
If his child ever asks why for anything, he will explain clearly and calmly. Rip for their belief in Santa when they inevitably ask their father.
Emmet takes safety very seriously, and Emmet can be a little bit of a mother hen. He just doesn't want anything to happen to his child as their parent and a Subway boss; it is their job to protect them.
No parent is perfect; Emmet struggles with personal space and privacy issues. He's always had this. He himself is not really a private person. He says what he says, and he means what he says. It might sound mean, but he'll say it anyway. And the lousy habit is from expecting everyone else to be like that, especially people who are closer to him. He wants his child to be open and honest with him at all times, and he wants to know what's happening in their day-to-day life even though they don't want to tell him. And I can see him getting a little antsy when someone won't tell him or they are hiding something from him. It's something that he always struggled with.
If his child ever gives him a logical argument on why he's wrong when he says no to something he will just freeze and think about it for a few seconds then just say "Ok, verrry fair... carry on."
Emmett gets obsessed with little baby onesies and baby clothes "look!! a little Joltik Halloween costume ah! So verrry cute!"
Ingo x parent!reader x Emmet
( the brothers are sharing one love interest no incest)
Usually, they're pretty good at getting along when it comes to Parenting, but sometimes their different parenting methods clash between two. Usually, they would ask you for advice after that or come to a fair agreement.
If they have twins, they can't be happier. Ingo would bring it up constantly, and Emmet would immediately start picking one color for each twin.
When they come home from Gear Station is usually your time off. They make sure you get plenty of rest because they know how tired you would be after taking care of your children all day.
Emmet would let his child hold a Joltik for the first time.
Ingo would give them a Litwick night light.
When the twins are together, they will always be excited to take their children for hikes or go places to have fun, like parks. We're walking around the amusement park or just seeing Aunt Elesa while you take a rest.
The first thing they do when they realize they are becoming fathers, is cram their minds with as much parenting knowledge as possible they're both excited and scared and praying they'll be prepared enough to deal with a kid.
Soon enough, you'll find them both asleep on top of a pile of notes next to another pile of parenting 101 books.

You know what I just realized?! NINJAS. In the Streamer AU, what if the Streamer took the opportunity to learn how to be a true ninja/kunoichi? Not the fake stuff from ninja movies, but actual ninja training! Koga’s dojo will soon be filled with new ninja trainees! Streamer could learn from that Beni guy, I think? And now picture this: Streamer showcasing themselves in a ninja/kunoichi outfit?
Better yet, somehow convincing INGO in a ninja outfit, showing off his muscles and other body parts? The Internet will go CRAZY.
I’m sure if the hero is willing to let bygones be bygones, Beni might be willing to teach the hero, especially as an apology if they show interest and dedication
Interest in ninjas would skyrocket. Koga is genuinely happy with the influx, though he has to be a bit harsh to weed out those following the trend with no commitment.
You convince Ingo to wear the outfit?
He had simps before, but now? Oh you have people screenshotting your stream SO fast.
Emmet is screaming. How dare Ingo be buffer then him! >:(

Chapter Three (Continuation).
School felt lonely without Renesmee. Jacob decided to protect his beloved from the Volturi and kept her close in La Push. Edward and Bella faked a story about sending Renes to Spain for an exchange program. She has a month to learn Spanish to cover this up. I challenged her and will test her myself after this anxiety-triggering moment.
At least I have her friends to have some small talk here and there. At lunch break, Cynthia made me aware of most names in school. The pretty boy from history class is called Percy Smith, and his rude girlfriend is Chloé Windsor. They been a couple since last year. And he is really on the Football team, she otherwise is on the school theater. She is a great actress. I know because Deborah is one of the students who are trying for the role of Juliette. This year's presentation before summer break is going to be Romeo and Juliette from Shakeaspere. As one really good friend I'm going to help her, and reassure her she is going to get the role.
When history class started, my heart began to race. Because I know I will be sitting near him.
"Hey!" he greets me with a warm smile. Today, Percy wore round glasses, and he never looked so sweet. "Hey!" I answered shyly. "I heard today you were helping Deborah at the theater class. I think it would be really cool if she gets the role of Juliette." Is he rooting against his own girlfriend? "What role is Chloé applying for?" I asked with curiosity dripping down my eyes. "Oh! She is not applying for a role. S he is directing the whole school show." He says with a proud smile. I only smiled and proceeded to focus on class. She is really proactive on school topics, isn't she?
"I didn't know you liked theater that much, "Y/n"?!"
At the Cullens, Renesmee and I would spend the whole evening on the phone. How could I explain I was more interested in showing Chloé other people could do good work.
"I think I am more interested in making friends my age, Renes...How's Jacob? And Spanish, are you learning the family legacy depends on that!" I joked.
"The Spanish is just fine! Thanks for asking "Y/N"!" She laughed.
"And Jake is wonderful as always. He loves it when I'm near, and I love being with him." Renes conclude. "That's so cute... Imprint love glue." I love mocking her about the imprint. Bella, on the other hand, thinks it is disgusting. But I don't make the wolf rules!
Alice came with Edward to my room. They signed so I could turn off the call, and I said goodbye. I left the phone by my bed and turned my body to them.
"The Volturi are coming tomorrow night," Alice stated with worry stamped on her elf-like features.
I hugged my legs, and Edward sat on my bed."They are here for a quick talk. If you resist, they're letting Aro know. But don't worry. We are preparing to fight them for you and your well-being." Edward said while holding my hand. He truly sees me as Renesmee's sister.
"Don't!" I said. "I don't want none of you to fight! I am going with the Volturi willingly. And no one can stop me from this decision."
All of the Cullens were by the restroom. Renesmee, of course, was out. Carlisle looked so worried. He worries about his children equally, even with all of my hate for being transformed into a vampire.
""Y/n" I want you to know that I disagree with your point of view on going to Volterra with the Volturi. It's risky. I see your novelty. I respect that. However, my children and my clan deserve respect. The Volturi can't come here and get my child." His statements made me silent. How could I respond to such love and concern in his words?
Esme held the exact same opnions. Rosalie was grieving, and Emmet was ready for a fight. Jasper decided to teach me some survival ability. Alice was in the kitchen trying to get focused on possible outcomes for the event.
The Cullens were out of peace. And although I never desired to be what I am now. I don't wish pain or death to them. "I am going Carlisle. That's the only way of peace being proclaimed." I said sincerely.
"Unfortunately. Carlisle, "Y/n" is right. If we don't want another fight coming. We must let her go. I'm sure when they see she does not have any power, they will let her come back home." Alice said while caressing his shoulder.
A gigantic cloud was on top of our heads. Happiness was far from me. I was once again asked to demonstrate resilience.

Latimas AU: First Outlaw Capture
Day 22 Novembmas
As the Latimas Au is set in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world, I had to have their first capture be a wanted Outlaw instead, which I decided was going to be my OC Paw-Paw the Meowth who likes to trick Pokemon into trading rare items for his fake rare items. Seems the law has finally caught up to him in the form of a young Lati-Emmet and Lati-Ingo.
Also wanted to try something different with the shading, as I need to catch up with the Novembas stuff today >.<

I really liked @antidotesprout 's design for @leggerefiore 's slithermas ingo...so my brain thought up an au where AI Turo and AI Sada (they now have the nicknames of Turai and Sadai), instead of peacing out to whatever time, stay and help the future and prehistoric hybrids into acclimating to modern day life. Pecha who's an incomplete Volcarona hybrid is one of the volunteers for helping these guys.
Ingo is very wary of this "fake" slitherwing hybrid but Emmet is very into her.

"Knew he was a killer first time that i saw him"
Confidential file Department of Organized and Emerging Crime Case N-7902-E Codename: Black Swan
Agent Name: Y/N Park
Assigned name for Mission: Lee Nari
Nari? as in Lilly in Korean?
You couldn't help but find it odd that the boss chose your own Korean name for this mission. You rarely used it, and only your grandmother ever called you that.
But, odd was about to become your middle name.
You skimmed through the files scattered on the desk, noticing some of them were thinner than a toothpick.
That was a bad sign.
Thin files meant limited information, and that meant you were being sent into a foreign country with minimal knowledge. You didn't like the idea of walking into the unknown, especially considering that the only thing you had from Korea was your father's last name and the last time you saw him alive you were a six-year-old.
You definitely needed to talk to her grandmother more often.
You were an expert in infiltration and counterintelligence, but to be honest Your personality was not what you would expect from a young high class korean lady.
For that, you would need a lot of practice before leaving.
A Chaebol daughter wouldn't know the difference between an AK-47 and a FAMAS, much less how to take it apart and put it together in a few seconds. Right?
Or how to disarm a man with one hand, a bullet in the shoulder in the middle of a…
Focus Y/N
You close your eyes for a second and open the first file and the picture of a man with a scar on his left eye greeted you, and you sighed.
It was going to be a long night and you didn’t have enough information to start this case.
🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙
Incheon Airport, South Korea.
October 10, 9:19 AM
The brisk autumn air nipped at your skin as you made your way into the international departure hall. You weren't sure if it was the weather or the adrenaline of embarking on a new mission that sent shivers down your spine. After all, you'd spent the past few days prepping to slip into the role of a pampered, elegant heiress, something that felt as unnatural as stilettos in a gunfight.
You also spent the last few days trying not to poison your partner Emmet, for every time he made fun of how much you hated this new undercover identity.
And don't even get you started on those fake nails; they were more of a hindrance than a help when it came to handling firearms or knocking some sense into people.
But it was not impossible to do.
Scanning the crowd, you looked for the person meant to meet you in the parking lot. In the middle of a crowd, a burly middle-aged man stood out in his ill-fitting suit. He had the demeanor of a gangster but the face of a teddy bear. Your eyes scanning him, looking for the Clan's tattoo – a crescent moon veiled by clouds.
Any member of the Seven Moons had to wear it in a visible place, a sort of gangster business card. This man had it inked at the base of his neck.
The man approached you with large steps smiling all the time, who knew a gangster could pass as a Golden Retriever Boyfriend  “Welcome Miss Lee, your father is waiting for you in the car” he bowed and took your luggage to take you towards the Mercedes that was parked right outside the door.
As you slid into the car, you were greeted by the smiling face of Lee Kikyung, the man who'd sold out his boss to save his own skin. And now, you had to call him "Dad."
Ugh.
"How was your trip, dear Nari? I hope you were comfortable on the flight," he asked, wearing a fake smile. You cringed at the sound of your childhood nickname, but you had to start getting used to it.
"It was good, um... Dad," you replied with a slight accent. "I hope you work on that pronunciation, precious. We wouldn't want them catching on so soon," he replied, a mischievous grin exposing a gold tooth. He was so close you could see the clan's mark on his neck, peeking out from under his expensive shirt.
What a piece of work.
"We need to head straight to the Kim Building. I don't know if your informants filled you in."
No, they didn't, you thought, but you let him continue.
"Last night, there was a lot of commotion among the Sons. All seven were down at the docks, and that's a rare sight. Looks like a big fish has entered the river. Two birds with one stone, huh? I bet you're up for a promotion after this, sweetheart." You had to resist the urge to throat-punch him, the way he was looking at you.
This guy didn't shut up the entire drive to the Kim Building. He barely took a breath between his rapid words, as if he wanted to unload everything at once and be done with you.
Classic snitch. From his body language, it was clear that beneath the old asshole’s facade, his trembling hand betrayed his nervousness. Old Lee, dressing like a character straight out of "The Godfather," might fool others, but to you, he was a washed-up criminal trying to hang on to his last vestiges of glory. How he'd climbed the ranks to lead one of the world's largest Criminal Clans was a mystery to you.
But something he said piqued your interest. The Seven Moons rarely gathered in one place, primarily for security reasons. "It's likely that all the children will be there at the meeting today," he revealed.
That really caught your attention and you turned to look at him "The Devil has summoned us all to his office. So, if I were you, I'd touch up that makeup a bit. It seems you're in luck today, sweetheart. You'll be meeting The Seven Moons."
For you, luck had nothing to do with it. Your plan had been to discreetly gather information before exposing yourself in such a way.
It was a change of plans, but not an entirely bleak one. In fact, things might not be as bad as they first seemed.
But now you'd have to improvise. The sooner you could get one of them in your pocket for the information you needed, the sooner you'd be headed home, and all these criminals would be where they belonged—
Jail.
🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙
BH Group Headquarters, Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea.
'The Office' Lee Kikyung mentioned you were going was a towering 77-story office complex that served as a front for the legal businesses funding the clan's extravagant lifestyle.
As you entered, the luxurious reception area greeted you with its tall glass windows and elegant chandeliers, making you shudder to think about the costs of building all of this. The floor, adorned with expensive black marble featuring gold veins was framed with the clan's symbol, unmistakably declaring this territory as belonging to Kim DoHan.
It felt like stepping into the gates of hell.
Accompanied by a team of about 15 suited bodyguards with menacing tattoos, you and your 'father' took the elevator to the top floor; It seemed to you that it was too much security for a friendly board meeting.
This meant that Lee's two hour TED Talk on "how to get away with snitching" was true: something was moving on the streets of Seoul.
As the doors opened to the conference room, you were struck by the absence of concrete walls, replaced entirely by windows offering a breathaking view of the city. In the center of the room stood an opulent table crafted from Japanese cherry wood. Several people were already sitting around it, in an order that did not seem improvised at all.
You sat down right next to Mr. Lee taking your time to examine everyone there. Most of the presents seemed to be different executives from the Kim companies, for the first time today you did not feel completely surrounded by gangsters.
However, the feeling did not last long.
The elevator doors slid open, and six tall figures strode into the meeting room. Instantly, everyone seated at the table rose to bow and pay their respects.
These were the young leaders of the clan, dressed in dark suits and moving with an eerie synchrony, as if they hailed from another world. In person, their presence was even more striking. Even the act of walking into a meeting room seemed to be precisely choreographed, every step filled with purpose.
You recognized their faces from the files, matching names to positions within the clan:
Kim Namjoon, the biological son and right-hand man, also the CEO of BH Group.
Kim Seokjin, the Clan's negotiator and financial administrator.
Jung Hoseok, the Clan's Support, essentially the go-to guy for various criminal needs.
Kim Taehyung, the Clan's Collector, responsible for ensuring debts were paid in either money or blood.
Park Jimin, the Clan's intelligence expert and overseer of the clan's nightlife businesses.
Jeon Jungkook, the youngest of the clan with no formal role, but per Mr. Lee's extensive criminal monologue, he was responsible for training new recruits in combat and held a special place in Kim DoHan's heart.
Yet, you noticed there was one missing, only six were present.
Where was the seventh?
Your question found an answer when the doors opened once more.
"Welcome, Sir!" The entire room chorused in unison. You managed to mimic the bow, though somewhat awkwardly. There was an amused snort from the Young leaders's side of the table, but it was hard to pinpoint the source.
When you looked up, you locked eyes with the Clan's second in command. His gaze held a mocking curiosity, almost taunting.
Kim Namjoon looked at you as if you weren't a trained agent but a bumbling, spoiled child, just another chaebol. You rolled your eyes right back at him. There was something in his expression that seemed vaguely familiar, but you couldn't quite place it.
"My Sons, my family. Good afternoon, and thank you for gathering at such short notice," the Clan leader's deep voice resonated through the room. "Lee, I'm delighted to see that you've brought a special guest today."
Chills coursed down your spine. No matter how experienced you were with criminals, there was an undeniable air of menace surrounding that man. An instinctual warning to put as much distance between yourself and him as humanly possible, as quickly as possible.
“Of course, my leader. I couldn't be more pleased by the return of my daughter” Mr. Lee replied with a wicked smile “After all, it was time to introduce my heiress” upon hearing that word, Kim's children looked at her, some with curiosity and others with complete indifference.
The Clan's head let out a light chuckle in agreement with the second-in-command before gesturing for everyone to take their seats.
And that's when you noticed him.
The man with the distinctive scar over his eye.
His real name was conspicuously absent from INTERPOL's classified files. In fact, there was nothing substantial about him—just a blurry image of his face.
And oh God. It didn’t do him justice.
Everything about him screamed danger.
He was the Clan's Strenght Leader, handling all the not-so-legal affairs.
Kim Namjoon ran the legitimate businesses, handled the money, and rubbed shoulders with CEOs and politicians.
The Shadow, as he was known, was Seoul's underworld Prince.
Standing silently behind the Clan's Head, he was like a deadly predator, waiting for the order to strike. Unlike the rest who sported expensive executive suits, his casual and nonchalant style made him stand out in the room. You know how, in nature, the most vibrant and beautiful colors often serve as a warning for poison? That analogy perfectly described him. The seventh moon's striking appearance nearly made you forget that he was the underworld lord of his clan, a cold-blooded assassin at the Devil's command.
Hi was Kim DoHan's dark general.
And probably the most dangerous man in that room.
Suga wore a black mask covering most of his face, but you could still glimpse the beginning of a scar that traveled from his left eyebrow down to his eye.
And those eyes.
He kept his gaze locked onto you, scrutinizing you, just as you had observed his brothers earlier. He watched your every move, as if he had already found a reason to be wary.
You couldn't help but feel uncomfortable under his gaze and for the first time in a long time, you looked away from someone. It felt like if you kept staring at him, all your secrets would unravel.
That was a level of danger you couldn't afford.
"You must be wondering why I summoned you from your busy schedules for this meeting," the Clan leader's voice broke the silence. "It is no secret that I'm preparing one of my sons to ascend as the clan's leader. And soon, by tradition, we must continue our family's legacy by uniting bloodlines. The prevalence of the clan above all else is the only thing that matters. Nothing else. "
Not a single person in the room dared to so much as breathing too loud. The palpable respect – or rather, terror – held everyone's tongue.
He took a solemn pause before continuing, "That's why I've decided my heir will marry the Lee family heiress. The Lees were one of our greatest allies, joining our clan twenty years ago. I had promised my dear brother Kikyung that one day, one of his own would wed one of mine. Kikyung, my brother-in-arms, you've been my right hand all these years before Namjoon came of age. This is my reward for your loyalty."
What the fuck did this man just say?
Marriage?
You couldn't hide your complete shock. There was no way that your so-called "father" and informant didn't deliberately omit this crucial detail from his UN General Assembly-worthy speech on organized crime as you were driving to the Headquarters.
The director had to know as well.
Which led to the unsettling thought: what else were they not telling you?
You weren't the only one caught off guard. The other children of the clan's leader couldn't contain their own bewilderment. Some squirmed in their seats, while others exchanged uneasy glances.
This had to be some twisted joke.
Even the seventh moon, for a microsecond, showed a speck of curiosity in his cold eyes.
"Since the hand of the Lee heiress has been promised, I have formally decided that she will reside in our private estate until my successor's name is confirmed," the clan leader declared. "I want all my children under my roof, without exception. And let me make it perfectly clear: none of you shall dare disrespect young-lady Nari. In the name of the code, Am I understood?"
"Yes, Leader," the Seven Moons responded in unison.
Wait, the name of his heir hadn't been decided yet?
You temporarily set aside Kim DoHan's implications about his children. None of those fools would dare touch you – unless they fancied losing a limb – all in the name of your code.
But given the intelligence you'd gathered about these individuals, Kim Namjoon was on a one-way ticket to becoming the Clan's leader. The overseas studies, the visits to criminal acquaintances in Russia, Japan and China, vacations with corrupt government officials and their entourage...
What did that say about Kim DoHan's faith in his own bloodline?
The Hallmark movie plot of giving all his adopted sons a chance at leadership was, without a doubt, suspicious.
However, some pieces were starting to click into place. Lee was betraying them to save his true daughter. If she married the clan's heir, there'd be no escaping the consequences when everything came crashing down.
Yet, your supposed father-dearest had delivered you on a silver platter to the Seven Moons.
It was a complete game-changer.
Old Mr. Lee wasn't scared of jail.
He was frightened for his own flesh and blood to be embroiled in a sinking ship. How he had managed to keep his daughter's true identity hidden for so long was a mystery. Did the all-powerful Kim DoHan truly not know his right-hand heiress's name until now?
There were too many loose ends, something was truly wrong.
Both men rose to shake hands, their exchange echoing with, "My clan is my family. My own flesh and blood."
"It will be an honor to welcome you into my family, young Nari," the old leader continued, his eyes locking onto yours. For some reason, your real father's affectionate nickname sounded downright chilling coming from the clan leader's lips.
It wasn't jail that terrified him, old Mr. Lee. It was  dooming his own blood to get involved with a ship that was about to sink. But how had he managed to hide his daughter's identity for all this time? Did the powerful Kim DoHan really not know the name of his right hand heiress until today?
Too many loose ends, and something was definitelly wrong.
Both men rose to shake hands “Family is my blood. My clan is my family” they told each other
“It will be an honor to welcome you into my family, young Nari” continued the old leader, drawing your attention and looking into your eyes. For some reason, the cute nickname your father had given you sounded terrifying in that person's mouth.
You offered a small bow in response, and when you straightened, the Seventh Moon was gazing directly at you.
There was something in his stare you couldn't quite define, but it was clear you didn't like how it made you feel.
You had never been intimidated by anyone before, yet you now teetered on the edge of a panic attack because of a pretty boy watching you.
A pretty boy who was a killer.
He couldn't possibly suspect anything about you, right? you wondered.
"Now, Mr. Choi," the clan leader signaled the man who had brought you there, "why don't you take this little flower to our residence, while the adults discuss other important matters?"
What the hell did this old man just call you?
Before leaving, you caught a reflection of his eyes in the glass door.
Ever vigilant.
Fine, Suga, I'll give you a reason to keep an eye on me. you thought
Perhaps this marriage scheme could work to your advantage.
Your mission was to infiltrate, and what better way than living within the Seven Moons' den.
Meanwhile, at the back of your mind, the myriad of loose ends left you with a lingering sense of unease.
Too many missing pieces...
And something was about to go so.
fucking.
wrong.
🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙
Kim Dohan’s manssion, Outskirts of Seoul
hours later
Sleep was out of the question tonight...
You had spent the entire afternoon and well into the night scouring for any scrap of information about the Seven Moons headquarters. Leaving your room, you crept through the dark corridors, making no sound.
Counting each step from your room to the next door leading to the exit was mentally logged. You noted the bulletproof glass in the windows and assumed that they had around 30 armed men guarding the house at any given moment. The Clan's den was an opulent display of excess; these criminals thrived on ostentation.
But that was a priviledge you could have when you controlled an entire nation, you could do as you pleased.
Who the hell thought of putting a lake in the middle of a house? You continued moving through the mansion crossing the internal gardens.
One thing remained undeniably true: the mansion of the most powerful criminal clan in Asia was an impenetrable fortress, nestled atop a hill, far from the bustling city of Seoul.
It had only one entrance and one exit, and its labyrinthine architecture made it all too easy to get lost within its confines. It was guarded around the clock by clansmen, armed to the teeth, with an arsenal hidden within its walls. It seemed like hey had their very own army.
Surviving an escape was highly unlikely...
at least not without help from someone on the inside.
As you made your way to the kitchen, your mind raced like an overloaded computer, with music playing from unknown open tabs.
Old Kim couldn't possibly not know his right-hand daughter's name...
Why had he offered you as a marriage reward? What was your -The daughter of Lee Kikyun- value to the clan?
How come Kim DoHan hadn't chosen his successor?
After minutes of aimless wandering, you finally found the tall double doors leading to the kitchen. Inside, luxurious countertops and shelves held utensils fit for a Michelin-star restaurant.
If this house wasn't so ridiculously big it would be easier to drink water. Where are the glasses? in Busan?
If you had to run away from this house it would probably be better to hide in the kitchen, no one would find you.
Have you left the safety on the Glock?
Who the hell is smoking weed?
The pungent smell momentarily distracted you. You'd been so focused on finding a glass that you hadn't noticed someone else was in the room. A slim figure lingered in the shadows of the window, barely revealed by the moonlight.
But you didn't need to see the full face to recognize him...
The Seventh Moon.
"Do you smoke?" the black-haired man asked from across the room, his voice so deep it was almost a growl, sending shivers down your spine.
"I don't do drugs, thanks," you replied with a flat, disinterested tone, or at least you tried to. "But could you point me to where the glasses are... please?"
The man chuckled and moved closer, rounding the kitchen island until he stood just inches from you. He gazed at you for a moment, then reached behind your head for a glass. His face inches from yours
You felt trapped, exposed.
For a moment, you forgot you were also a trained soldier on a mission. This man had you feeling like a blushing schoolgirl from a corny drama, much like the ones your grandmother watched.
You're not going to be intimidated, are you?
For the first time, you got a good look at his face, the scar running down his eye, his round nose, the way his jaw moved as he frowned, and his almost pouty lips.
That man was beautiful.
You could even smell him, beyond the scent of what he was smoking, you could pick up the musk of his cologne. The open collar of his shirt revealed tattoos peeking out and the muscles in his neck...
"You like what you see, little flower?" he teased, a mischievous grin tugging at the corners of his lips, before handing you the glass and taking a drag of his joint. "But I must inform you, anyone who sees my face without being a full clan member... ends up dead." He exhaled a plume of smoke in your direction.
Chills coursed through your body. You weren't entirely sure whether you were more aroused or irritated.
"Technically. I'm now part of your clan. You heard your father, I'm going to marry one of you," you replied, shaking your head, trying to maintain your cool.
Suga found your bratty attitude funny. "Wouldn't you like that, huh?" He got a little closer to your face to look directly into your eyes “Technically, yes you are part of the Clan. But until you take the oath and mark your pretty skin with our mark. You are not one of us, little flower” he replied, putting away a lock of hair that had fallen into your eyes.
"I think SUGA, our Leader's orders were quite explicit. Stop toying with our guest, and if you're going to smoke that shit, do it outside my house." Namjoon's authoritative voice cut through, catching both of you off guard. You seized the opportunity to slip away from Suga's grip.
Suga raised his hands in a mock surrender and looked at his second in command. "I was just offering our new friend a glass of water, Joonie. It'd be rude not to show a bit of our clan's hospitality, wouldn't it, little flower?" He winked at you.
"Nothing was happening. I couldn't find the glasses, and I was thirsty," you replied, failing to hide the compromising position you'd been in with the Clan's Shadow. "And don't call me that, that's not my name."
"Nari, lily, little flower. They're all the same," he responded, making a playful smile and leaving you momentarily flustered.
Perfect, let them think you're a complete idiot. Amazing job.
“Leave her alone, now. Suga” Namjoon spoke again with a voice of authority “Excuse him, he is not used to behaving like a human, much less having manners with a lady” He referred as his own brother like he was not a human being standing next to them
Does this Namjoon guy have a prince charming complex or what?
"Oh, please, your majesty! I'll go finish my joint in peace elsewhere. Oh, and Namjoon, you should respect your elders. I'm still your hyung, and this isn't your house... yet," the black-haired man stated with a note of warning, bowing to you before leaving and flipping off the other man.
Namjoon sighed. "I'm sorry, really. He has no control. Did you want a glass of water?" He took the glass from your hands, opened the fridge, and began to pour you some. “I know it will be difficult for you to adapt to the rules of this house, but if you need something you can ask one of the employees. They are always here to serve you”
"I didn't want to bother anyone, it's late," your reply was short a tittle more sour than you intended it to be.
"And you shouldn't worry. You now belong to this house, and it's the staff's job to take care of you. But, I'm glad we ran into eachother tonight. I wanted to speak with you before tomorrow's meeting..." Namjoon paused and scratched his neck, as if deciding the best way to approach the subject.
"Tomorrow, you'll be formally introduced to the clan. From that day on, you'll need to make the rounds with each one of us," he explained. "My father wants you to be thoroughly acquainted with every aspect of our operations. Even if I disagree with certain aspects, my father trusts yours. And I trust my Leader."
Namjoon's kind expression shifted to a stern one, his gaze intensifying. "Miss Lee, I don't know you well, and neither do any of my brothers. However, in this clan, we take loyalty very seriously. As of tomorrow, you may witness or hear things that must remain within these walls. It might be overwhelming at first, but you have no other options. And things might be unconfortable until you take the oath. But until then, you must still act in accordance with the code, or face the consequences. Is that clear?"
With his eloquent speech and steady tone, the Second in Command had just issued a subtle threat.
Well, not so subtle...
"First, Mr. Kim, there's no need to be so formal when talking to me. After all, in a few months, I'll be marrying the heir of this clan. That makes me your future sister-in-law... or wife," you stated, raising your chin with a haughty air. Namjoon remained silent, allowing you to continue.
"Second, I understand that we have to take our parents' word for the success of this alliance," feeling your blood rise to your ears, you knew you were playing a dangerous game "But I want to remind you that I am also a daughter of this clan. Blood and weapons don't intimidate me. In any case, both of us should show respect to our elders. After all, our fates rest in their hands." Taking a small step closer, he didn't budge.
But you could never guess how you were making the young leader feel. As much as he hated that you tried to hurt his pride like that, the Second in command saw for the first time in someone, an equal, a true opponent at that.
He was also undeniably intrigued by you.
"I may not know you yet, but I'm living in your house, I mean, your father's house. And I expect a modicum of consideration."  You pretended to be offended because that was the role you had to play, a spoiled, conceited heiress to the mafia.
“I have offended you. Excuse me if my words sounded like something else... “
“Okay, I understand you Namjoon, can I call you by your name? We have the same age” you interrupted him in the middle of his sentence.
“Yes, of course, can I call you Nari?” Namjoon loved the sound of his name on your lips. Of course, you could call him whatever you wanted.
“Great, thank you very much for the water and for helping me before. Good night”  With a bow, You shot out of the kitchen.
“Good Night. And Nari?” he waited for you to look at him “It is really nice to see you again. You look different now, prettier. I hope you rest well, you're going to need it tomorrow” he winked at you and your blood froze in your veins.
Kim Namjoon had met Mr. Lee's daughter before? Why hadn't Mr. Lee mentioned anything about it?
Your heart pounded in your ears.
It had been too much.
The gaps on this mission were becoming too much.
You needed to get your act together, no more games. You were already deep within the lion's den, and time was running out.
You had never failed a mission before, and this wouldn't be the first time...
No matter how appealing the Clan's Shadow was or what he made you feel.
As much as the threat of the Second in command had actually terrified you.
Without mentioning the fact that he knew Lee’s daughter.
You had to keep going; there was no turning back now.
And you would bring this clan to its knees... that was a promise.
"Baby let the games begin... are you ready for it?"

I like to think that for a while after the brothers reunite in your Z!Emmet AU, their dynamic is like :
Emmet : i am Emmet. This is my brother Ingo. And this is Ingo's brother, Identity Theif.
Tumblr media
Oh I have PLANS for the lead-up to the reunion, but at the very least you can rest assured that by the time the triplets are all reunited, Ingo knows that Zemmet is, in fact, a Zoroark, and Ingo is ready to make his case to his twin that actually it was a good thing he was there! Current arguments include saving Ingo’s life, helping with his memory issues, and very sad ghostly puppy eyes.
(Ingo: He followed me home, can we keep him? Please???)
This turns out to be unnecessary, because Emmet takes one look at the verrry nervous Zoroark triplet, partially hiding behind Ingo, and goes, Oh, It’s Free Little Brother!!!
(Look, if Emmet had to go three years without his twin, he deserves two twins now. It’s like interest. That’s how it works, it’s just math!
Elesa would like to loudly question how he got his engineering degree, but also Ingo is both home and happy and Zemmet looks like he’s wagging his tail under that illusion, so this time she’s gonna go ahead and let it slide.)

let's hear abt the fucked up au
OK. So, as you may have seen, when I first beat Scarlet and Violet I made the following meme as a goofy little joke about how I thought it was funny another time travel plot came immediately after PLA
Tumblr media
I didn't think it through much more than that at the time. But the post has been making rounds and as its popped up in my notifications again and again, I got to thinking...-
It's said in Scarlet and Violet that humans can't come back through the time machine. But let's humor the idea for a moment, just for funsies: What if Barry and Emmet did seek Sada out to get their loved ones back? What if it worked? Wouldn't that make for such a happy ending?
...On the surface, at least.
You see, there's a theory I've seen floating around about Area Zero. The theory posits that the time machine isn't an actual time machine, and that the Paradox Pokemon aren't actually from the past or future. This theory reasons that the 'time machine,' Paradox Pokemon, and AI professor were actually created by a legendary not yet in the game-- one only alluded to in the Scarlet/Violet book.
Tumblr media
The going theory at the moment is that this Pokemon is some sort of eldritch entity that feeds off of imagination/desire and creates things based on people's wishes. That's why the box art legendaries resemble Heath's beloved Cyclizar and why the paradox Pokemon exist despite the holes in the timeline they create. None of it is real.
But if two people were to go to Area Zero with the wish of being reunited with those they care about, what would happen? Would it be like what happened when Turo/Sada went to Area Zero with the desire to see what they saw in the Scarlet/Violet book?
Would something be birthed?
What I'm trying to say is imagine an AU where Barry and Emmet get wind of what Sada's doing, go to the crater to hopefully be reunited with their loved ones, and are-- except... they're not. They're reunited with replicas based on their loved ones exactly as they perceive them.
They don't notice the things that don't add up. 'Dawn' and 'Ingo' behave exactly how they anticipate they would. But for everyone else...-
Things are weird.
Ingo doesn't remember how to run the singles train the way he should (After all, Emmet wasn't there.) Dawn doesn't recall conversations she had with Lucas or Rowan when Barry wasn't listening. Neither of them remember anything about Hisui despite historical records showing that's where they went.
...What's going on?
Their other loved ones would grow suspicious. Things wouldn't add up. But when they'd try to point this out, they'd be rebuked. Clearly they're "just not happy Dawn and Ingo are home."
So they begin to investigate the crater themselves and come in contact with some teens who claim to have entered it. Cue the Scarlet and Violet friend group also catching wind of what's going on.
And a shitstorm ensuing as Florian/Juliana, Nemona, Penny and Arven travel to Sinnoh and Unova to talk with Lucas, Elesa, Cynthia, and anyone else who might become wrapped up in all of this (I can see Looker getting involved) all to try and save Barry and Emmet from the same fate that befell the professor; AKA getting way too wrapped up in a fantasy.
But that's easier said than done. The two would drag their heels in, and it doesn't seem like 'Dawn' or 'Ingo' mean harm. After all... Koiraidon might be fake, too, and Koraidon is perfectly loving and sweet.
Scooby Doo investigation antics and psychological horror ensue.

Oh man, now I have brain worms about this AU.
They'd have to remember the exact date they were pulled away to Hisui by Arceus. And then, they have to make a choice. Either they pretend to be missing to explain their changes, which would subject their friends and family through fear an terror and grief. Or they just show up after their 'old' self was teleported away. But they have lived for centuries now, have lived through horrible things they only knew from history books. Things changed for them, things changed them.
Akari was ripped from inside her bedroom at night, so she either has to break into her own room, or pretend to her parents she woke up super early and left for a walk. But it's the first time in centuries she sees her parents again. Same for Ingo, he hasn't seen his twin or his friends in ages. Wouldn't they be weirded out if their daughter/brother was suddenly clingy or their tastes for things had changed seemingly over night?
I think, what with the fact that Akari and Ingo would both have pretty bad amnesia, they don't actually... remember. When they disappear. And I was imagining that they only realize they're finally back in their own time when they start noticing that Akari is actually aging. By then, they'd have already missed the dates the two of them disappeared— and since Akari showed up a couple years after Ingo did, it's been years since Ingo has gone missing.
They're in the middle of one of their fake lives in Paldea, Ingo's become a guide around the outskirts of the Great Crater, Akari's attending school, it's been a good three years... They have about another year before they'll have to "move away" for a new identity.
One night Ingo gets woken up by Akari whimpering in pain. They don't realize what's wrong until the lights are turned on and there's a big ol puddle of blood in the middle of the bed. They're hit with the Oh Shit realization that. They've made it. They're in their own time.
And they still do not remember where they're supposed to be.
Over the years, they have regained some memories, but some things were just completely lost. Akari's pretty sure she was from Sinnoh, and that she worked with a Professor, but she didn't remember the Professor's name or where exactly she lived in Sinnoh, or if she had any friends.
Ingo remembers having a brother, Emmet, and a best friend who liked electric types, and that he worked with trains, probably. But he doesn't actually remember which region he's come from, and he's under the belief that he wasn't anyone famous or anything because if he works at a subway, that's just. A normal job. Train workers don't exactly get famous.
So it takes even more time for them to finally discover their missing persons cases. Ingo is actually shellshocked when he finds out he's a battle facility head. Akari doesn't find this surprising at all and thinks it's hilarious that he honestly didn't guess as much. His Path of Solitude is fucking brutal. He has to be a professional in the field to come up with shit like that.

Yippee Here's something for Submastober :))
This is an AU thats inspired by in part murderbot (and in part my interest in the super soldier trope directly inspired by marvel movies lol, i've liked this trop for a bit X) )!!! It's mine and @belltrigger 's Sci Fi AU!
In it, Ingo is a guy who was caught in a terrible accident, then rebuilt into a cool cyborg, but the institution that saved him wants to use him for their own nefarious reasons. He escapes them, and fights to remain free. Emmet is a ship AI who loves helping people (in part because he's coded with love), but those who directly own him wants to use him to gather data on everyone on the ship.
Shenanigans ensue eheh.
I love The Murderbot Diaries! It's a great Novella series, and i recommend everyone give it a read or listen vis a vis audiobook! It's got themes of finding your sense of self as a self labeled murderbot, begrudingly caring about your weak ass human companions, and trying to comprehend a society that isnt constantly spying on you??? Sounds fake but ok.

okay, I’m the paldea AU, I’m imagining that Emmet tries to look up “Clive’s” grades to make sure that this student isn’t ruining his education with operation starfall. But he searches the roster of every single class and he can’t find Clive! Emmet has to go to the top, and inform Director Clavell of this oversight!
because of this, Clavell has to create an entire fake student profile, and make Clive’s entire story more believable. Perhaps getting some of the other professors in on it? I think that would be funny.
WHEEZES. Clavell never thought he'd have to go this deep for his cover story, but he'll do it if it means he won't be discovered. I don't think he'd get any of the other professors in on it, because honestly I think it's funnier if he's working to hide it from them too. Professor Tyme absolutely cannot find out, that's for sure. She'd see through him 100%, no question.
Meanwhile, Akari and Ingo watching 'Clive' and just exchanging a look. That's Director Clavell, right? Right????
