ENTJ Behaviours - Everyday things the Internet analysis don't tell you about - weirdly specific edition

Loud loud laugh. The type of laugh to make you go under the table. Happens roughly 2-3 times a day.

Shouting for no apparent reason.

Zoomies, yes, zoomies around the house.

Zoomies in talking - The point is to get it out fast and furious and go on with the day. Spoiler alert: 80% of the time I have to repeat myself, because people didn't understand my point delivered in Eminem speed. I'm fine, we're fine, it's fine.

Constantly forgetting people don't have the ability to understand with just one, maximum three words. Exception: INTX

Hating to be late and arriving early. Completing several tasks while waiting.

Having absolutely no tolerance on people who are late. Holding a grudge about it. Waiting for the day to just leave so the other person learns from it.

Abrupt style changes that shock people - going from casual business to grunge fairycore, not realising that people get confused with the vibe.

ENTJ procrastination is a thing - it's just procrastinating by doing other smaller tasks instead of doing the big looming one.

Being confident all the time except in a specific moment in which it's required to.

Ordering food at McDonald's because your extroverted friends were "too shy" to.

Waiting for those same friends to say "hi" to the entire planet while you try to look confident, pretty and approachable.

As for the ENTJ men reading this - do you have like a list or diagram, with all the people that manage to keep up with your Stewie Griffin (South Park) , Kaz Brekker (Six of Crows) tendency to "invest" and Thranduil(The Hobbit/LOTR) type of beauty and pride, and how long is it? Again, genuinely curious.

Wrote the origins of criticism and invented self-criticism in the process, because emotional liability got invented roughly around the same time and apparently it was "too much" *side glances INFPs*

Crying only out of helplessness (not if you can help it, ofc) and anger.

Fan of stupid puns (extremely evident)

Might unintentionally ghost people or leave them on seen, because they messaged you while your brains were working overtime (happens too often)

Caffeine doesn't work, but it's a ritual of pleasure, not to be missed, unless the day is bound to finish in prison. Same could be said if you take tea instead of coffee.

Relaxing by watching documentaries about successful people.

De-stressing by drinking wine with that one close friend that you see once a month due to busy schedules and talking about life.

That close friend also happens to be the closest one to IxxJ type and thoroughly listens while we explain the nature of emotions and why we think that the normal emotion we felt is a terminal illness.

Flirting is a way of surviving not a way of life. Take it as you wish.

Inspecting and dissecting your crushes so you know what you're dealing with. Most of the time we "un-crush" them with a snap of our fingers.

Sometimes we "just go with it" and end in a semi-casual situationship.

When they tell you we are confident and undisturbed by flirting, they're probably lying or not competent enough about speaking on real (not psychology explained) life. We do. It's just not obvious. INTJs, INTPs and ENFJs might not agree, because they somehow just know.

Getting hurt over minimal details people mentions about us throughout a conversation but being unaffected by "the big ones".

Which is hilarious because we're major "big picture" people - details are the things we see last. Sometimes, we don't even bother to inspect them.

A small collection

I do still intend to keep writing the other more detailed How to spot guides for each MBTI type individually, but in the meantime, I collected some interviews with several people of each type that you can click through and maybe it helps you see the similarities not just of the people of the same type, but also based on the high functions that they share. I also tried to not exclusively use native English speakers because I’m personally a bit fed up with the anglocentrism of this site and the internet in general (though of course I’m also constrained in my choices here that I can only use people that I know of, which are mostly European), but if I could find some, I included interviews of them speaking both English and their native language. Even if you don’t understand that language, I still recommend looking into those interviews. Not understanding what someone is saying can sometimes actually help focussing on their body language itself.

- Early on Emma learned fairy tales weren’t only made of dreams, but nightmares as well. Though her childhood was filled with expensive lace dresses, dolls brought from far away travels, and tea out on the hill that looked out over the gardens, the young Vanity quickly learned it was to distract her from other things her family her did which they didn’t want her to see. [Scream] Dwight “Dewey” Riley ESFJ 9w1 so/sx

ESFJ (Fe-Si-Ne-Ti)

Fe (Extroverted Feeling)

While ISFJ is a common typing for Dewey I don’t see how he is an Si dominant type. While Dewey does stick to his Si in most of the movies we can see that he doesn’t lead with it rather than Fe. His first instinct isn’t to follow a step by step process but rather focusing on the emotional weight of every person. In the franchise we can see how Dewey goes to check up on everybody when ghostface returns. While an Si dom would rather focus on the order of things in the current moment. For example let’s look for example of Si doms in media: Allison Argent (ISFJ) from Teen Wolf (idk about her Enneagram so if you have theories let me know). When it comes to the order of things Allison leads with her Si trying to use introverted sensory data to make sense of the situation usually filtering Stiles Ne Making step by step choices rather than think about all possible futures. While Dewey leads with his Fe contrasting his differences with Gale’s Te. 

Si (Introverted Sensing)

Dewey likes to stick to step by step processes he would rather be careful and take time to figure things out rather than just jumping into conclusion fast enough like an Ni user would he rather take time to keep order and focus on the process in hand. In Scream 4 and Scream 3 we can see how he pairs well with Gale. Dewey takes small steps to reach conclusions to figure out who ghost face is. Maintaining a Meticulous step at a time while Gale (ENTJ) likes to focus in those fast proccess and take in the most of the current moment (Te-Se) while Dewey compacts all possible futures into one using Si. 

Ne (Extroverted Intuition) 

While Deweys Ne isn't seen as much throughout the saga we can see that he still factors it in. When he talks to Randy (ENTP) he explores those external possibilities. He is able to understand the multiple rules Randy throws to him in a matter of seconds ,even if he misses somethings, In Scream 4 he mentions casually how Jill slipped about the wound she and Gale share. In that moment (tho late) he pieces it together and rushes to save Sidney. in Scream (2021) he falls into Fe-Ne loop he isn't able to coup with the reality of his life. So he turns his back to reality and hides away. Constantly thinking about the possibilities to come back to Gale.

Ti (Introverted Feeling)

Dewey’s Ti isn't incredibly weak however he doesnt particularly focuses on using it on most situations. He lead too much with his Fe when it comes to most situations and usually doesn't focus on subjective analytical processes. While yes he doesn't seem particularly focused on efficiency in the same way as gale does he doest seem as interested either in using his Ti. He struggled allot when it came to analyzing things a bit further. 

Enneagram: 9w1 so/sx

When it comes to Deweys Enneatype ive seen a couple of opinions. The most common types I see dewey being is 1w2,9w1 and 2w1. However those are but superficial analysis of his character. Type 2 doesn't suit Dewey because type 2 enhance themselves and ignore their sadness in order to fulfill others needs Ex (Maddy Perez ESFP 2w3 from Euphoria, Emma Woodhouse ENFJ 2w3 from Emma and Love Quinn ENFJ 2w1 From You). When it comes to type 1 I think it doesn't suit dewey that much either type 1 greatest fear is immorality, chaos and tend to repress their anger in rode to maintain these. Yes, Dewey does share a strong moral compass like a 1 would however I don't see the emphasis a one would have over discipline like a type 1 would Examples (Batman INTJ 1w9, Katara ESFJ 1w2 from Avatar the Last Airbender and Steve Rogers ISFJ 1w2). And then comes type 9 I think this is the one that suits him the most accurately Dewey's focus on everybody else's comfort and maintaining a steady pace of life while being extremely discipline makes the most sense for him as a 9w1. When it comes to Instinctual Variant he might lookalike a two due to him being a social two. These 9 tend to be more assertive than the usual 9 and can take upon leader roles like Dewey ends up doing Ex (Luke Skywalker INFP 9w1 from Star Wars, Scott Mccall ISFP 9w1 from Teen wolf and Cassie Howard  ESFJ 9w1from Euphoria).

sadie is here for one reason and one reason only; her brothers. the teagues are thick as thieves -- literally -- and no one is able to come between them. it’s hard to seperate people that bonded through trauma; first the wounds inflicted by their father, then by orion bartholomew. they stepped from the frying pan into the fire when it came to father figures. they had to hold onto each other, and due to their shared experiences, anyone on the outside was mistrusted immediately. in elias, this lack of trust in anyone but themselves is still very much present. sadie is a firm believer in not needing anyone else, in being fine with just the three of them, and anyone willing to take away her brothers is seen as a threat. without their mother, sadie stepped into the maternal role, trying to take care of logan and beckham as best as she can, but it’s pretty clear that she’s nowhere near ready to do so. from messed up meals saved by takeout and ordering in, to messily stitched up wounds that get infected easily because she did not clean them thoroughly enough.

she’s taken two jobs to support herself, was fired from one and is threatening to get fired from the other. turns out that customer service is not her strong point, but she can get away with more as a bartender than she could as a waitress. but what does she have to put on her resumé? dabbling in the occult, being a professional cat lady, terrorising children with scary masks even when it’s not halloween? she had to face the facts and realise that she had little to nothing to offer the world outside of hallow falls. she could no longer rely on her family to put bread on the table, so she took the first few jobs she found. but waitressing was not it (apparently, telling a customer to fuck off and get a life in response to ‘can i talk to your manager’ was not appropriate in a restaurant setting), and bartending is difficult. so she found something she was good at. 

the escort life isn’t glamorous, not in the slightest, but it pays. enough to feed the three of them, enough to have a little place to receive her clients, enough to be able to stop worrying about whether their electricity or water supply will be turned off next. so no, she’s not happy, but she’s satisfied, and that’s what matters. she has her cat (that she definitely did not reanimate after his death and restore to life. definitely not. he’s just old, it’s just a silly rumor), her books and her brothers. they’re all she needs.

sadie, like her two brothers, was born to carrie teague, a human, and jason teague, a demon. of course, she’d only had one brother at the time, as she came after beckham and logan came after her, but of their parentage there was no doubt. from birth, it was firmly established that the three of them could not simply be fully human. their mother was too kind, too angelic, to wonderful to have spawned those three menaces with another man, and their father was too terrible, too disgusting, too brutal to have birthed those three children with a sliver of goodness in their heart on his own. no one bothered to tell the three of them, though. so they remained in the dark, believing their mistakes were their own fault rather than their father’s.

just like her brothers, sadie had great potential. her powers manifested early on; she felt most comfortable near graveyards, talking to her friends that people around her (even in hallow falls) deemed imaginary, with a good book, her cat, and her army of ghosts. at first, they just talked to her, nudged her in the right direction and demanded a listening ear. but as she grew older, she started to refuse to listen. rebellious teenagers had problems with authority figures, and sadie was no different. whenever a ghost tried to demand something from her -- a way to help them move on, to use her as a vessel, to let their story be heard -- she refused, and it took its toll on her. she needed to be in control, but they wouldn’t let her, and whenever she lost focus for a moment, they appeared, and became visible to all, not just sadie. she’d been using her powers to keep them at bay and to protect other people from them, but it was getting harder and harder. the beings from the other side were demanding, and were now out for revenge. still, if she focused, if she stayed in control, things were fine.

actually, things were most definitely not fine. from a childhood spent hiding from an angry father and gravitating naturally towards her mother’s arms for comfort, towards the kind bookseller’s shop with little nooks to hide with her cat, to teenage years spent anxiously patching up her wounds -- and her brothers’, running away from home more times than she could count -- and always coming back for the other members of her family, to adolescence following her brothers around to a new town with new people to terrify and terrorise, to safely explore her options when it comes to her powers. but maybe that’s not what she wants anymore -- though a lifetime of sin is hard to unlearn, especially if she’s not sure what she wants.

FUTURE !!

since she dropped out of high school, walt university hasn’t been an option for sadie. elias is a place to run away to, not to settle down and have a life. but that’s what’s currently happening, as her brothers seem to have found their place and they don’t seem very hell-bent on leaving anytime soon. she’s here because of them, and because of her mother’s explicit wishes. 

so maybe she finds a reason or two to stay. a purpose, a desire. she’s a blank slate with a disturbing past, and will do anything to make sure her future is as far from bleak and blank as possible. she doesn’t have the best reputation, despite her best efforts to control it, but has no problem lying and cheating her way back into people’s good graces. needless to say, that doesn’t always work.

i would say it's third-person selective! i'm the omniscient narrator, but i don't go into omniscient detail about more than one character in a single vignette.

Constance grew up in a small and poor town. She was the youngest of four children. Her childhood was anything but easy, even at a young age. Her parents were poor farmers, who lived in a small town. Growing up, Constance was put to work doing chores around the farm. She hated it. She would rather keep busy by keeping the home. Her mother was a kind and lovely lady, but her father was cruel and an alcoholic. He hated Constance and her mother, abusing both of them regularly. She began to hate him, and most men as a byproduct.

As Constance grew older, she grew more beautiful - too beautiful as some would say. She cared deeply about her appearance, to the point of vanity. Her cruel father would call her awful names. However, Constance’s mother always told her daughter how proud she was of her. Constance always had higher aspirations for her life, which involved more money and a higher social status. The moment the opportunity came to marry Ambrose Harper, son of a long-standing wealthy farming family, she took it. Anything to get away from her poor, abusive father. However, three years into their marriage, Ambrose met his early demise by a hatchet accident - leaving his money to Constance. This wasn’t enough. She wanted more.

She would go to marry five times in total, all meeting their demise by hatchet accidents and leaving their fortunes to her. She never stayed married for too long, with the exception of her last husband George Hightower. Each of her husbands left her more wealth and status than the last. Marrying George, Constance finally had gathered all the wealth and stature she dreamed of. She was finally satisfied, and didn’t completely hate her fifth husband.

However, something that wasn’t part of the plan was having children.  She was anything but a loving mother. If anything, it threw a wrench in her plans. Her firstborn was young when their father died mysteriously. She would marry again before having her second child. It was twelve years into their marriage before George ultimately met the same fate as her previous husbands. After his death, Constance and her children remained in their mansion.

I love to listen to a music. Music always got me relax everytime and it feels like music is saying the exact thing that I cannot even describe in such a word. I'm a casual listener to Ariana Grande, Chase Atlantic, Taylot Swift, Niki and Olivia Rodrigo. Since the K-pop is getting heat lately, I jumped into it! I love IVE, Wonyoung is my #1 bias. NewJeans, Enhypen, and there's a lot more. I mean, who doesn't like K-pop?
