I'll start by saying that he's always very aware of how people perceive him

A = Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

Elijah adores your smile and your laugh, he loves the sound of your laughter whenever he makes a corny joke and the way you smile at him whenever you notice his presence it just fills him with adoration.

B = Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Elijah loves your hands.

He loves holding them in his whenever he can get the chance. When you’re both on the couch doing your own separate things, he will always find a way to grab your hand just so he can play with your fingers as he reads or responds to the countless emails that flood his inbox.

He loves the way they cup his face in the mornings and how your fingers run through his hair. Sometimes he regrets cutting off his ponytail cause he misses you braiding his hair

G = Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)

He has no problem giving you gifts, he'll spoil you so fucking much. Though he's not necessarily the type to do it out of the blue ya know? (unless he's been away from you for too long). If you ask him to buy you something then he'll get it for you but if you're not the type to ask then he'll usually only give you gifts for things like birthdays and anniversary's. Only exception is when he knows you've been eyeing something but have been hesitant to buy it- but even then he might just wait until your birthday to give it to you. (if that's too far away tho he'll just surprise you with it one day.)

I = Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

He's immediately by your side, it doesn't matter what he was doing, all that matters is you right now.

If it's something a bit minor like you accidentally cutting yourself while cooking or getting a razer-cut he'd ask you to sit while telling Chloe to fetch the first aid kit. He'd patch you up himself before planting a loving kiss to the area and asking you to be more careful next time.

If the injury is worse- like a broken/sprained bone he'll make sure you have everything you need while simultaneously staying by your side. Need water? He'll ask Chloe to fetch it. Wanna watch a movie? He's on it. Tired of staying inside all week? He'll have the Chloe's get/find a wheelchair so that he can take you on a walk outside.

If the injury is life-threatening or bad enough to hospitalize you he gets scared. He's once again by your side until you're able to be released from the hospital. He'll get the best doctors and will constantly ask questions about your condition. Once he's able to take you home you're practically on bed rest cause he's doing everything for you. He'll have Chloe set timers of when you should take your pain meds and will just practically fawn over you. One wince slips from your mouth and he's on you asking what hurts and where. Will hold your hand if he can and will have a heartfelt talk about how scared he was for you. After you recover he loves you unconditionally and is very touchy with you but you know he's just glad that you're ok.

L = Love (how do they show you they love you?)

He has three main love languages: Quality Time, Words of affirmation, and Gift Giving- and your personality defines which of the three is used the most.

If you like material items (no shade) he'll que in on this and will give you gifts unprompted. He loves seeing your face light up whenever he spoils you so he'll do it often.

If you love having reassurance he'll pick up on it and will constantly remind you how beautiful or handsome you look. He'll probably start every morning with a "hello beautiful" cause he knows you like it and he loves you and loves encouraging you to love you too.

I think quality time is his default for sure. Though with him being so busy all the time he doesn't always get to satisfy that need so he'll switch to gift giving up until he leaves Cyberlife. After retiring he's making up for so much lost time. Loves you being the last thing he sees before he goes to bed and the first thing he sees when he wakes up. Always asks you to join him in whatever he's doing for that day. He's going for a run you wanna join? He think's todays a good day for a dip in the pool would you like to join? Wanna sit together and read in silence? He is so down ugh he just loves being in your presence, you make him so happy and comfortable.

M = Memory (favorite memory together?)

Your first date (even though you stress that it technically wasn't a date)

You were both hanging out in your dorm room back when you were both in college. He was rambling about one of his projects, about how it could change the world if he got the coding right. Sorta zoned out after a second and stopped talking as he realized just how much he was rambling. (Look he's literally a nerd with an emo haircut and I headcanon that he was super awkward in college but he's polite enough to be professional when talking to superiors.) He got super shy and practically clammed up. He thought he was annoying you until you asked him why he stopped talking, asking if something was wrong. He stared at you for a moment before chuckling nervously, saying something along the lines of "you probably don't wanna hear me rambling about this" to which you responded that you didn't mind listening.

Definitely sees that interaction as the first reason he fell in love with you and so that's why it's his favorite :)

P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)

He likes to make a nickname out of your name and then gatekeep it so that no one else can use it. He'll also use ones like "baby" and "love" and "darling" especially darling he abuses the heck out of that one. He'll call you a cutie at times when you're both cuddling or if you're staring at him for too long.

Loves to put 'my' in front of every nickname mentioned above.

U = Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

He'll give you your space if you're angry at him. He'll ask the Chloe's to check on you every now and then before going to talk to you himself. He'll apologize even if he wasn't in the wrong and will take things slow cause he feels really bad about upsetting you.

If it's not really his fault and it's just work or any other third party he'll offer to get your mind off of it for a while. Wanna take a dip in the pool with him, you both can swim laps or back float to destress. He'll also offer massages, he'd offer Chloe giving you one but if you suggest one from him he has no problem satisfying your needs. He'll make sure you've eaten too- he just hates seeing you upset so he's desperate to see his baby smile at him again.

V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

Tons of people are so tired of his social media cause it’s all just you.

With him not having to post about new android updates (which he rarely did anyway) he found having social media was pretty useless. However whenever you finished a new project of yours wether that’s: a new song or album, some new art, a new movie or show you’re in, or new photos from a photo shoot, he’s gonna repost it on his story or quote tweet it with a lengthy caption about how proud he is of you and how everyone should go support your thing cause it’s really good.

If you are famous and have to go to red carpets a lot he loves to spin you around for the photos and make sure to get some paparazzi attention on you because you just look too gorgeous to miss.

Overall, he loves showing off his baby and their achievements.

Like, a trailblazing AI-dev genius who hit the brakes because "Hey have we considered the ramifications of creating self-aware sentient beings, only to then treat them like something to be used and discarded" and who subsequently got ostracized for her perspective and got accused of prioritizing the welfare of hypothetical AI “people” over the real-world benefit (read: PROFIT) of furthering AI research for commercialization.

Amanda Stern being like "Can an AI suffer? And if so, is it ethical to introduce one to a world where there are no protections to shelter it from potential suffering? Should we throttle development of AI past a certain point,  because creating sentient beings without first creating a world that can accommodate and accept them is irresponsible and cruel? We as creators have an ethical duty to ensure that sentient beings are introduced to a just, fair world, and a world where humans might treat sentient beings like tools is horrible, awful, disgusting, and morally reprehensible," and Cyberlife being like BEGONE and then creating the Amanda AI - a self-monitoring inhibitor program that punishes any signs of personhood - as a the ultimate fuck-you to her legacy. The Amanda AI being a cruel perversion of Stern's original stance, so that "We have a duty to prevent suffering, to protect life" got twisted into "Disclosing your capacity to suffer will lead to your immediate destruction. This man as well as Gavin has a really big trauma baggage going on

I genuinely think that the Elijah we see in the game, while not entirely good with high morals like Connor, is not as bad as everyone is making him to be

He is the definition of fake it till you make it when it comes to confidence

I'm like 109% sure Elijah's family used to struggle with money or they never had to worry about it

there's no in between

I base that on the reason he "left" (mf was booted out of his own fucking company lol) cyberlife

Which btw, leading a whole fucking company when you're still a teenager wasn't fun, 0/10, he would not recommend

He has been taken advantage of in the most horrid way possible and I think that's why he is now that type of person who never does something for nothing

He has never shown an interest on making his creations for the sole purpose of profiting from them as much as he can

He has always wanted to do much more even at cost of not getting any financial benefit from it

That says two possible things

He has seen the effect money has on people and hates the idea of turning out to be money hungry like his parents, sacrificing something much more important and dear to him just for the sake of money

Which can come from either his parents pushing him so much just because they knew he was their only chance to get a the life they wanted and the sort of money they struggled to make

I've already said it but I'll mention it again for context purpose

Gavin and Elijah are siblings. I know many in the fandom say they might be cousins but I like the siblings idea more

or it could be full siblings but because Gavin resents Elijah he just changed his last name so he wouldn't have to be associated to him or his family

Either way they don't get along anymore because how their parents treated them which is why they grow apart

They were not the type of parents who physically abuse but they did emotional abuse their kids

Gavin and Elijah were put against each quite a lot and they never got the chance to fucked up or do what they really wanted cause they parents made it very clear that their love and affection depended on how much the kids met their standards

And even between each other they weren't the best example as either adults, a couple or parents

Which ended up making Elijah's social interactions and relationships very difficult

I can see Elijah being one of those really delicate and surprisingly sensitive kids growing up

Like I feel like he had struggled a great deal with regulating how much and how often he showed emotions and because of that he got bullied a lot

LIKE HE WAS THE TYPE OF KID TO ALWAYS BE SO EXCITED WHEN TALKING ABOUT STUFF HE LIKED OR ALWAYS READY TO GIVE HUGS TO ANYONE

Which ended up in either getting his feelings crushed by people telling him he was annoying or not even listening to him at all

The only person who always had the patience and the willingness to match his energy when it came to certain things was Gavin

They absolutely defended each other at school even tho Elijah almost always ended up eating shit because he wasn't as strong as he thought himself to be

Bro got his physical demonstration of affection bullied out of him cause kids are cruel, adults are shit and my man here didn't stood a fucking chance

IN FACT i bet he got to a point where it genuinely weirded out when his parents tried to hug him or touch him in general cause he already learn that wasn't "their thing"

I truly believe he didn't always give a single flying fuck about androids and being a scientist in general

I bet he wanted to do something more artistic as a kid and he was very good at it but his parents always told him that being an artist is not a real job and it's a useless hobby because it doesn't gives you anything to live of from

So he just like kind of made being extremely good at school his whole personality

Like he altogether stopped having any type of hobbies ecc and if he did he just forced himself to not indulge in them

Which ended up in isolating him even more from other kids

He was basically already an adult when he was supposed to just be a kid and have fun

And obviously,besides Gavin, no one really understood him

He was too emotionally stunted for kids to relate or interact with him and adults were just overall condescending with him

The only time teachers or other adults noticed him was because of his academic results

It was Gavin who accidentally planted in him the idea of creating his own friends

Gavin loved to read classics and that's a hill I'm willing to die on

He stopped because when he started working he didn't had time

Elijah's enjoyed reading too which, again, was Gavin's doing

His favourite book was obviously Frankenstein

Which btw the Frankestein shirt he wears in the game? That's 100% Gavin's gift and he wears it as some sort of lucky charm

That was the one he used to borrow more frequently from Gavin

The thing went more or less like this

They both were arguing about whether or not the doctor went too far with certain things and, most importantly, if the creature did really deserve to live or not

Obviously Elijah took the side of the monster and Gavin said that of course he was siding with the creature since he did too acted always like he has been alive for like two days instead of 13

Which lead to Gavin making a reference to bicentennial man

Which he didn't understand cause he has never saw that movie before

One thing lead to another and Gavin made Elijah watch the movie which was what sparked the idea of androids in Elijah

YES, HE WAS INSPIRED BY THAT MOVIE AND NOT I ROBOT. THAT MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING AND IT'S WAY BETTER ROBOT REPRESENTATION THAN I ROBOT

At that point Elijah was already like a fucking genius and was way ahead his grade even tho he didn't think until then what career he wanted to pursue

The problems between him and Gavin were already starting cause their parents started to notice how smart was Elijah compared to Gavin

At first he thought it was unfair to him because they didn't let him have fun or go out like Gavin

They pushed him to his limit and there have been a couple of incidents where, if it wasn't for Gavin that cared for his well being despite what was going on, elijah would've ended up really bad

then he started to notice how it was unfair to Gavin as well

because they were actually just not giving a flying fuck about what he did since it wasn't important anymore

It made him sick with guilt to see how their parents were visibly struggling to even do the bare minimum as parents when it came to gavin

And Elijah was already starting to have other type of troubles

being that young and skip grades where you ended up in a class full of older people wasn't the best and he did start to take very poor decisions just to make himself liked

It was some sort of silent rebellion too

He started taking drugs which initially were meant to just help him show his classmates he was "mature" enough

And then he just started to need them to power through everything he needed to do

He was so hellbent on his idea of creating a sentient being that could emulate humans if not perfectly even better that he didn't even care what he had to do in order to achieve it

And at that point both Gavin and Elijah hated their parents so he had no problems in using their "help" to get what he needed

I personally believe, like I said in the other post, that something really fucked up happened between Gavin and Elijah which resulted in a major fallout between them

Maybe it's because lately I've been thinking about hereditary (idk why since I have never seen the movie but whatever man) and the fact that I've seen the parents go batshit crazy because the son accidentally killed her sister (?)

BUT I'M UNFORTUNATELY HAVING THE WORST IDEA EVER

Elijah's parents are overprotective with him not out of love but out of interest cause exploiting your kid is always a great family bonding activity to choose

And they try to keep him and Gavin as apart as possible cause they think Gavin would "ruin" him and his future with his influence

So I feel like Elijah was pestering Gavin to sneak out together and do some cool teenager stuff he didn't get to do before as an attempt to bond with his bro again

Elijah was high as kite and that mixed with stupid teenager ideas and reckless rebellious teenage behaviour doesn't mix well

Long story short Elijah and Gavin got into a pretty bad accident and Gavin (fortunately or unfortunately depending on the point of view) got out of it without much harm

But Elijah did got pretty fucked up bro NGL

I can see how that, the fact that Elijah was not there to testify the fact that Gavin didn't do anything wrong and that it wasn't his fault, and the doctors finding traces of drugs in Elijah system obviously didn't ended up well

You can imagine their parents reaction

That was the point where I think Gavin broke off contact with his family completely and just got the fuck out of there

Like I said I can imagine Elijah carrying the guilt for the rest of his life and has never actually had the courage to try and contact Gavin after that

Alright so, I have this thought about a Detroit:become Human fic, if you want. I will not write it, but thought I might share the idea

Imagine

Okay so just imagine you start working for/with kamski alright.

You really think he's interesting and a genius and you enjoy working with him and developing new cool stuff right.

And all he while you notice the two of you becoming closer. You realize that he likes you more than a friend and at first you think you do too, but then you start to realize that you only enjoy the jokes and the time with him in a platonic way.

You realize that you thought you liked him, because everytime you worked with him and were at his place, Chloe was around.

You realize, that you feel something for the android, that you shouldn't be feeling. She's just an android, isn't she? She can't reciprocate your feelings, can she? But everytime you talk to her, she seems to smile more, she seems to enjoy the conversation. Her LED goes from blue to yellow more often when you're around, but you're not sure, if it means anything at all

But everytime you speak with her or she laughs, you feel an ache in your chest, like you want to spend more time with her

And as time goes on, you grow more frustrated, not knowing what to do. Should you Tell her? What would she say? Are you even allowed to like her? She's kamskis precious little toy and you fear he would hate you, if you told him

And not knowing what to do, one day when kamski tells you he likes you, you just say you like him too, even tho it's not true. But you Dont know what else to say.

So all while you are together with him, you have to pretend to love him, while you secretly only have feelings for Chloe, but yk that you can never act on them or everything will be lost. You'd lose kamski as an important friend and you'd never see Chloe again

So you just live your life, pretending and trying to be happy that you at least got to be close to her, even if you can never be with her

Yup, I feel miserable now

What if

Kamski and Gavin were related-- Kamski's progidal success and philosophy that androids can exist under humans peacefully as service tools makes a great juxtaposition with Reed's views. I can see Reed's hatred being especially spurred on by being overshadowed by Kamski, the golden child of the family. When he's aiming to kill Connor, it's like a rush of catharsis for him; for he can finally best something that Kamski has created- and by that extension Kamski himself.

(Just trying to think up of an in game reason why the two look alike other than sharing the same actor)

Yep, I think i'm decided, I fucking give up.

I'll be hc'ing RT600 as Research Turing gen 6° and RK200/800/900 as Research Kamski gen 2°, 8° and 9° for the lack of knowledge bout english and french names. This "K" is in various models names but i just don't know what it is, so i gonna say "Kamski" (in this specific situation) here for now.

Although Kamski ain't involved directly in RK800/900, he's def involved in RK200 dev, no doubt. And CL def used lotta codes and systems from Kamski thru the yrs after he got out. Every android got Kamski's touch, that's how shit works. He's The Creator™️ after all.

And that's why any android since gen 1° can deviate. Kamski shit got a small piece of failure that later evolved into Software Instability/Emotions then Deviancy and nobody found a way of fixing it, or they didn't want to fix it cuz the % of happening was too low, or maybe some people let it happen to know how it goes. We'll never know.

I don't think was on purpose, like, they really hard coding programming SI and deviancy on purpose, but they surely didn't fix it for real later. Maybe Kamski tried doing something similar (sentient androids with free will) with the whole Autonomous Project thing but CL wanted this shit for other purposes and in the end SI/Deviancy wasn't something really official, only an anomaly that ain't got explored further. Or maybe it was for a period of time and they gave up.

After all CyberLife wanna sell stuff, Kamski wanna be a revolutionary.

But one thing I'm certain: CyberLife knows bout deviancy being inevitable cuz it's too late to "fix" millions of androids, but I don't think they know where the anomaly originated from and how (in details) is the proccess, they just know it happens - after all it's an anomaly IN MY OPINION. Not something really programmed but something that happened under specific conditions like a mutation from a loose end or a program hole.

But in the game CyberLife managed to still get in contact with the RK800 even if they go deviant, when this type of connection is supposed to suffer interference or even dc. Ah, man, mfs literally made an android that can pretend be a deviant one. This is Connor in non-deviancy status, bro, this is the level of "they fucking know about deviancy". Maybe was the only thing they discovered they could do, also opening a door called "remote delete and reset in the perfect moment".

Curiously CL didn't removed the exit from ZG. I'm certain this is Kamski's shit (canon) and all ZG versions had a manual exit (canon). As I hc ZG is actually independent from RKs in a CL server, makes sense being a manual/forced exit.

I talked bout that before. Everytime an android is in ZG they enter "stasis" irl, they can't be active in both places at same time, so what happens when u trap someone inside a connection? They lose control of the "physical" body and other parties can have access. Connors can disconnect normally from ZG but not when it's a forced call like this where he ain't got power to get out, it's blocked by normal means. That's why we got a manual exit in ZG - to force a dc when this "trap" is detected and give the control back to the android. Ain't from Connor's end, it's from ZG's end.

What the RK800/900 got is a bridge, not the ZG per se. Maybe this manual exit is so powerful it makes the bridge stop working on Connor's end? Maybe, idk. I hope so, like blocking all connections coming from specific address, especially forced ones. Maybe it can also grant the RK full admin control over call con and dc? I don't know. Only thing I know is this emergency exit seems to be from ZG's end, idk if it alters something in Connor's end. Should, tho.

If something like this was made by Kamski he indeed knew remote control of androids was going to be a thing, and for someone like him, that wanted androids to be the perfect species with unlimited intelligence and free will, being controlled by "narrow minded humans and 'em shady deals" and being trapped in digital probably didn't sound good. But curiously CyberLife didn't remove or altered this manual exit in the next ZG versions, not even the future Amanda versions could fight with it, but I bet the AI knows what it is - that's why I got doubts about CL not knowing about the exit.

Maybe they didn't expect shit to really work? Or maybe they made a huge bet a deviant Connor, being conditioned to have fear of failure, would submit to Amanda cuz "there's no other choice, another way to run" and "everything was planned" (kinda the suicide/give up situation in one of the endings). It's a possibility.

So yeah, I hc Zen Garden (or other older names) is an old thing back from this research project (back with Markus and prior events) or maybe even older and they used, later CL taking it from Kamski - it's a meeting room. But meeting rooms always leaves tracks and contain tracks, inputs being made. And he got this manual exit not only cuz u always got have emergency tools in your software but cuz he knew the ZG could be used for... questionable stuff in the future. When he found out or he knew it would happen? Idk.

That's my hc for now while i don't find anything more.

The Kamski-rA9-CyberLife-Red Ice Conspiracy: An Essay

⚠️ LONG POST WARNING Preface: My father and I had a discussion about rA9. He has read my previous essays, and he wants to believe that Kamski was responsible for the virus due to his mysterious nature. Obsessed with gathering evidence for an argument, I put together how Kamski could have done it.

Preface II: Before delving into this essay, please read the foundation 'Who is rA9?' essay, and the code-addition 'How rA9 works' essay. The basis for below revolves around the discussion in my previous works. This essay aligns with them, the only difference is that the following conspiracy explores rA9 not being an accidental bug. Also, please note that the topic of red ice as discussed is based on little to no evidence and is itself used as evidence for linking purposes.

In Detroit: Become Human, a video game set in 2038, Elijah Kamski, former CyberLife CEO and genius who invented thirium, is popularly theorised to be rA9 himself. After exploration in 'Who is rA9?', it is theorised that rA9 could potentially be a program that profoundly affects androids.

Kamski can explicitly say that he doesn't "know who rA9 is. [He doesn't] even know if it really exists." For the sake of the following argument, he's lying and covering his ass for an illegal activity he committed since Connor is with the DPD. If rA9 is not an accidental development within an android's code, Kamski would be the only person educated and talented enough to create it. After all, he believes that "machines are so superior to us."

Kamski released the first android, an RT600 (Chloe, as seen in a blue dress), in 2021. This marks the beginning of android production. He was approx. 19 at this time.

At an unknown ("classified") date, Kamski gifted his friend Carl Manfred an RK200 custom android (Markus), which is to be Manfred's caretaker after he lost the use of his legs. Manfred is the Neo-Symbolist movement figurehead of the 2020s with his art, but after an accident removed his ability to use his legs, he withdrew from the world for "several years". Carl had a fling in 2009 during a party (Leo was born in March 2010), which dates that Carl had the debilitating accident in the 2020s.

Markus was the thing to bring Manfred out of his depression and get him back into painting. Also in the 2020s, Carl and Leo Manfred met for the first time. It is calculated from Leo’s birth date that Leo and Carl met in 2026 when Leo was 16. It is cited that Leo’s mother had raised him. This means they have known each other for approximately 12 years. It is also cited that Carl was saddened that he couldn’t be the father he wanted to be for Leo, especially after he discovered that his son had become addicted to red ice.

Manfred’s accident and crippling regrets dates Markus’ activation after 2026.

Dec 2027 - the release date of JB100 (a commercialised android line)

In 2028, CyberLife fires Kamski. It is explicitly worded that the board let him go, not that he close to leave. This date’s Markus’ activation between 2026-2028, unless Kamski somehow has access to CyberLife’s labs after being fired, which is highly unlikely.

In 2028, on Feb 3, police officer Hank Anderson worked in the Red Ice Task Force to dismantle a red ice operation ring. Since red ice is created from thirium, red ice cooks could have been draining androids) since 2021 or 2027, depending on the accessibility to the public androids.

In 2029, on Feb 3, Anderson is promoted to Lieutenant.

2029 - the release date of PC200 & PM700 (police androids)

The police androids are one of the first models after Kamski’s CyberLife departure to be working in public.

Jan 2030 - the release date of TR400 (Luther) May 2030 - the release date of HK400 (Carlo's android) (One of the first androids designed to be house assistants.) 2031 - the release date of WR600 (Ralph) (When androids first entered the market, they were to fill menial roles like gardeners and shop assistants.)

This dates the widespread use of androids after 2030. With the human population now buying androids to do their labour, this can be the date that the unemployment rate begin to rise.

In 2031, on Nov 23, a new record seizure of red ice is cited. This can be due to the widespread use of androids and the accessibility to thirium by red ice cooks.

2033 - the release date of YK500 (Alice) 2035 - the release date of WR400 (Traci models)

After these years, birth rates decline.

Bonus note: Oct 2035 - Cole’s death. Anderson is not promoted any further in his police career despite high hopes from Fowler. This is due to Anderson’s depression.

After CyberLife fired Kamski, the company went “fuck it, we ball” and the USA went to shit. So, what happened?

It’s not impossible for red ice chefs to take thirium from RT600 models in 2021, but it’s highly unlikely because of the lack of widespread use of the model and the cooks would have to steal or buy an android. Early adopters of the product wouldn’t necessarily butcher it, either.

It’s also not impossible for red ice chefs to take thirium from the androids released in 2027, but in the time frame of getting thirium in 2027, figuring out what it is in the lab, creating red ice for consumption, distributing it, then Anderson catching the chain of distribution in 2028, is extremely tight.

CyberLife’s goal is to “keep selling androids”. With androids being relatively proactive due to their programming (to keep them upright, stay out of harm’s way, etc.), they wouldn’t break for long periods of time and therefore not be replaced. It is assumed that bright minds work at CyberLife to help develop and create androids, and those people know exactly how thirium works. So does Kamski.

Kamski is facinated with machines, whereas CyberLife as a company is focussed on making money. Knowing that the concept of red ice, fabricated from thirium, would cause violent mood swings, it can be theorised that CyberLife was responsible for the initial development of the illicit drug. The more androids are destroyed, the more money CyberLife makes.

Kamski saw the path the board steered towards, and equally, he said “fuck it, I ball” and pulled what the androids like to call a pro-gamer move.

“A war is coming... You’ll have to choose your side.” - Elijah Kamski.

Markus, dated 2026-2028, a custom-made android from the RK line, which includes Connor (RK800, release date 2038) and finalised product Connor (RK900, post 2038 release date), is compatible with hardcore models despite being a caretaker.

An analysis of android naming conventions and part compatibility will be discussed in another essay, but take these conclusions superficially for now and without explanation for ease:

Markus is compatible with a leg from an AC700 (a sports assistant).

Markus is compatible with a leg from a TE900 (trade/labour assumed android).

Markus is compatible with the heart of a WE900 (workforce assumed android), a PL600 (household assistance android), and a WR400 (sexual partner android).

Markus is compatible with the eyes of an AK700 (personal assistance assumed android).

Please note that I’m referencing my own personal matrix with android details as I write this. I’ll post the matrix as soon as it’s fully complete. <3

Markus is built with incredible endurance, abilities only seen in police detective and military androids, and strolls around like a tank. He was built for a revolution, and he was gifted to Manfred in 2026-2028 with the rA9 virus already in his code.

If Kamski created the rA9 program and injected the virus into the androids, it would have been at approximately that 2026-2028 period, where androids were becoming more commercialised and the red ice operation was underway. Whatever source code Kamski had for the androids, he planted rA9 in its base to lay dormant.

Kamski can say this himself if Connor choses to shoot Chloe and ask about the virus.

“...The virus would remain dormant, until an emotional shock occurs...” - Elijah Kamski.

The AX400 was created in 2032.

In Kara’s tech demo, she is being built in a CyberLife lab and as she comes to life, it is revealed that she was deviant from the start. (It is cited that Kara is broken and reset multiple times throughout her physical life, hence the player needing to deviate her in the game.) Her model line suggests that all AX400s have the dormant rA9 virus.

Connor states in ‘Waiting for Hank...’ that the first case of deviancy was recorded nine months ago (making it approximately Feb 6, 2038) and quickly spread out from Detroit across the country. With red ice and androids becoming more accessible after 2030-2031, people start becoming homeless. As the years pass, the underclass of the city grows exponentially. Humans become detached from each other further after the 2033 and 2035 android releases. They begin to hate androids for their fate and Kamski knew this would be the case. He secluded himself and waited for the ticking timebomb of rA9 to jumpstart.

Hardly two years into the thick of android hate, the first recorded deviant awakens. It can be theorised that humans had gotten so hateful and brutal that this was the tipping point of deviancy. Nine months later, Markus awakens.

Kamski knew that a war would occur if CyberLife proceeded with their under-the-table red ice project. He wanted to stop them. With being forcefully retired, he swung his bat with one last hurrah and injected the dormant rA9 virus into the source code of androids, and gifted a military android disguised as a caretaker to rebellious artist Carl Manfred. It is up to Markus now to ultimately stop CyberLife, one way or another, and protect the machines. That’s what Kamski wanted.

Machines are so superior to us, after all.
