Nines in one of those human aus where his nickname comes from the fact that he lost a finger. Except he gets exposed while undercover and they torture him by cutting off more of his fingers.

He gets rescued and the first thing he does when Gavin says his name upon seeing him again is hold up his hand and joke, "I think I have to go by Sevens now."
