Not really eldritch Jedi
So this isn’t exactly an eldritch jedi headcannon but it’s in the vicinity:
Part of force sense-perception-clairvoyance is seeing people/living things on another plain of existence. And on that plain the more force sensitive you are the less part-of-the-natural world you look.
It only takes a small amount of small sensitivity to start looking Other, just little things slipping you into your species' version of the uncanny valley. It takes more force sensitivity - though not jedi level - to be able to see on that plain but once you can that’s it. There’s no kinda see it kinda can’t, you see it or you don’t and you see it all the time. That’s how you see, everything on two plains of existence at once, and only people with no force sensitivity look exactly the same on each plain.
And on that plain of existence jed, sith, and anyone comparable looks eldritch to everyone. And remember, there are a lot of sentient species in the galaxy. Pulling off “everyone looks at you and sees something beyond the laws of nature” is a bit harder than it is in a world where everyone’s human.
That is what jedi are trying to hide when they hide their force presence - or rather, what they’re trying to make look less eldritch. Hiding your force presence becomes less “shield” and more “make my body on the other plain look more like my body on this plain” because sure, it’s possible to completely hide that Other body from view to fellow force sensitives and can be useful because it completely prevents you from being perceived, but nothing says “force user!” like the complete absence of that body so you want to be careful when you do that.
And as a bonus because it’s fun, the clones can see everyone on that plain too. No one knows why. The Kaminoans don’t know it’s a thing and probably wouldn’t have been able to make it happen if they had known, and while some clones are force sensitive enough to see this on their own that doesn’t account for all of them.
Turns out that the Force - which it should be noted is something like sentient but not something like people and thus does not think in the same way - basically went “you are made for force users and you can’t see them? why? that won’t work.” And just gave all the clones the ability to see that particular plain of existence without doing anything about their force sensitivity.
The clones, when they meet the jedi, have no idea that not everyone sees that way. It takes months before the Jedi learn that the clones can see them at which point all the jedi freak out a little because HOW??? Meanwhile the clones are like “wait that’s not normal???” (this of course leads to force sensitivity tests and when they show that not all of the clones meet the usual baseline for that perception everyone is only more confused).

So my We Need to Talk About The Jedi Eldritch Jedi fic is being written, but there are so many things I want to do! I need help deciding!
I want to start with ya boi Qui, since I love him as a character and as a Jedi (Qui-Gon Bashers can fuck right off my blog, thanks), and this will determine his role as a central presence!

Day Five: First Meeting
Another ficlet for the books! For this one I chose to do the prompt first meeting and added a bit of a twist. Completely pre-relationship and a take on Eldritch Jedi!
Rumors fly around the GAR faster than blaster bolts on the battlefield.
But Cody hadn't believed the rumors that the Jedi transformed into otherworldly creatures. Not until he met his Jedi.

Some sketches of the padawan oc. Just some flat colors. A little bit of shading for face.
Her name is Savri Nam. Her natural force abilities focus on empathy and connection, to the point she created a psychic bond with the temple after a Temple Guard told her it was possible. This is also the reason she is with the Jedi Order.
At seven years old her parents abandon her at the temple, and while they were trying to enroll her in one of the specific schools/foster homes for force sensitive children, she was staying at the temple. The Temple Guard who found her mentioned that temple guards sometimes have a hard time with 'individual identity' due to their very literal connection with the temple that leads to a pseudo-hive mind (uh, force sensitives are kind of eldritch creatures, it's fine). In all the intelligence that a seven-year-old has (which is surprisingly a lot, it just never focuses in an intelligent place) she tries to bond with the temple, and then dose. The Council of Reassignment decided to just keep her after that. She'll probably grow out of it eventually.
She eventually ends up as Master Brosam Gumhutc's padawan (who's life was equally chaotic) , who is a Shadow and part of a crew of theives. This is where this all becomes a Leverage Fusion AU. She never learns the Jedi Mind Trick™ (it was Obi-wan who trademarked it on behalf of the Order) because she learned to be a grifter and a forger and sometimes people question if her Master is even force sensitive, he is, we swear, it's just been a while since he's done anything visibly force manipulate-y.
Her main form is Makashi, because she learned the basics at from Count Dooku during a con when he was trying to be a good little politican and fund public sports for younglings, except they aren't called younglings outside of the order, but there are other people who give their children metal swords instead of super hot light/plasma/somthing swords and call it a sport. So yeah, Count Dooku taught fencing for a bit, and it's a lot like Makashi. He also introduced Savri and historical fencing manuals, and Savri's lightsaber instructors after that will never forgive Dooku.
Durring the Clone Wars she is devestated to find out Dooku is part of CIS, as she belived he was genuinely trying to change the corrupt system when she had last seen him, and to find out he is siding with anti-union conglomerates in this power grab is horrible. And his own apprentice isn't getting a living wage, healthcare, or paid time off. (it takes her a stupid long time to realize Dooku is a sith lord)
She works with the Courant Guard in data analytics/gathering and code breaking. She's only been ropped into a few diplomatic missions, since she once got arrested for assaulting a senator, a police officer (the starwars equivelent), and a private citizen (he was CEO of something). She is also constantly and loudly critical of the senate, all politicans really, but she has to deal with the senate the most.
Her favorite show as a youngling was the Muppets, and once put the theme song on repeat for 40 hours to get Anakin to leave her alone.
I'd love feedback, tell me if you want to know more.

The best fics are the ones that recognize that although Luke Skywalker may APPEAR on the outside to be a normal friendly twink who happens to have cool powers, especially when contrasted with such ship partners as Boba or Din or even Han, he is arguably the scariest person alive in the galaxy around the prequel era. AND, crucially, he is also a fundamentally weird guy. This man was homeschooled on a rural farm his entire life and then apprenticed to a swamp gremlin who showed him how to tap into the cosmic power of the universe. He blew up the death star age 19, killing approx 2 million-ish Imperials. He is a vortex of Force power that can communicate with the ghosts of dead Jedi. He’s staring into the distance and mumbling to himself and doing Yoda aphorisms and casually pulling out the “yeah I could crush that guy into a paste with my mind (:” and nobody around him knows what to do with that. I think he is a character who has very little frame of reference for how a Jedi or a person in general is supposed to act and there is some thing about him that is by necessity really fucking weird and a little scary but he’s so nice that it can throw you off the scent a little bit. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Vague Obi-Wan lore from Bloodshed, Crimson Clover shitpost:
-----
Obi-Wan, eyes glowing, in an empty room: *talking in some ancient language no one can understand*
Some Random Jedi: ...is that not...concerning?
Qui-Gon: Last night I caught him floating on the ceiling and chanting ritualistically. When I asked what he was doing he told me that Master Katri was teaching him an old Je'daii mantra...so I consider this an improvement.
Some Random Jedi: ...isn't she dead?
Qui-Gon: Yes, which is why I will not be asking again.
BONUS:
Dooku, who literally just wants to eat and go to bed: *walks into his Temple quarters*
Obi-Wan:
Ḩ̸̡̬̝̰̤̺̜͎̩̾͆̏̿̔̐̈́ȩ̸̨̛̫̟̟͕̲̭̻̖̘̘̀͊͂̕͜͝ͅl̴̛̞̘͙̲̪̭̟͓̳̳̟̀ĺ̶̛͎̲̩͔̋̋̎̇͐̿̏̽̍͒̍̎͝ȍ̸̱͚̮̤̩͖̰̣̔͗̾̍̏̆ ̶̡̛̠̞̝̻̖͔̜̫̈́͜M̷̧̗̜͕̘͈͙̠̜̼̔͊̎͋̓́̒ͅa̴̺̜̫̻̠̻̭̯͉̣͖̮̠͒ͅş̷̘͓͔̟͎̈́́̉t̷̩͔͓̳̠͈̩͇̖͈̯̰͛̆̄͂̓̏͝e̸̱̜̾r̴̛͍͙ ̸̛̟̞̠̺͓̙̩͒̍͝Ḋ̵̛̼̯̘̗̖͗͌̃͋̿͝o̸̢͕̜̭͎̫̙͌́̿͊̈͛ͅo̵̹̼͚̻̫͓̻̳̻̭̳̐̅̉͑͆̊͂̔k̶̡̨̳͓͎͖͉͔̟̹̪̼̣̎̈̈́̇̒̈́͌̀̀̌̿̑͘ū̶̬͎̀͒̊͑̽̀͘͝
Dooku, backing out the door: Nope...nope...not tonight...I'll room with Qui-Gon...just...hell no...
The real reason he was so ready to stab Obi-Wan in AotC

Hear me out. Eldritch Luke Skywalker. I know this isn't a new thing, but there ISN'T ENOUGH of it. And I'm not talking about 'scary tentacle monster' eldrich (although I love it too and I think its super cool), I'm talking more of a 'I can tear through your mind like paper and blow up planets with minimal effort but I won't because I'm nice and have moral values' eldritch.

Eldritch Everyone
I have read fantastic stories where Obi Wan/ the Jedi are Eldritch creatures and other stories where the Clones are Eldritch, because of Kaminoan experiments. Let's merge the two with a twist.
The twist is they are different types of eldritch beings who do not know the other is Eldritch.
As always disregard any established lore that contradicts this.
With the clones it is because of Kaminoan experimentation. It will never be quite clear what the Kamnioan’s were trying to do…or if they accomplished their goal. But the Kaminoan experiments on the Clones (with the exception of Boba Fett) genome connected with…something beyond. Something they had no idea what to account for.
For the Eldritch Clones I am taking heavy inspiration from the incomparable Quarra’s The Force of my Love.  The Clones are a hivemind, existing paradoxically as part of the hive and individually all at once.  Their forms are nigh on indestructible and mutable, meaning they can shapeshift (they, in fact, make the choice to keep Jango Fett’s face and shape as their ‘main form’-partially due to spite, partially because the Kaminoans expect it). They are able to travel instantaneously to any clone that is part of the Hivemind(by contrast this instantaneous travel is limited to only to other members of the hivemind).  Unlike Quarra’s clones they cannot tell the difference between Sith and Jedi(for reasons that will be elaborated on later). They have eidetic memory which, combined with the hive mind, means that what one knows all of them know and none of them ever forget.  This version of the clones have no particular connection to Mandalorian culture, nor any other culture, save perhaps the Jedi (The propaganda that they are created for the Jedi still exists and frankly pales in comparison to how awesome the Jedi actually are).
The Jedi are Eldritch through their connection to the Force, which is sentient (by certain definitions) but so utterly alien to anything on the mortal plane that there is no direct comparison. Now it needs to be made clear from the first that it is not just Force sensitivity that makes one Eldritch, the connection to the Force is just not strong enough.  There are additional rituals that the Jedi, and the Sith of Old, go through to become what could be considered Avatars of the Force (specifically the Light Side for the Jedi). These rituals were passed down from before the split between Sith and Jedi.
I say Sith of Old here, because Bane, in creating his rule of two, did away with many of those rituals (never realizing their worth) because several of them required more than 2 participants.  There are three rituals in particular that apply here. First is a ritual to allow oneself to fill completely with the Force (making themselves, for a lack of better terminology, larger than their mortal forms), which Bane kept as he believed it simply made one more powerful (and could be accomplished alone). The second ritual, also one that Bane kept, helped to hide the Banite Sith from the Jedi(it also disguised what was happening to the Banite Sith due to the first ritual, even from themselves), though that had always been a side effect of the ritual, not its intended purpose; this ritual is the reason that the Clones cannot sense Jedi and Sith seperately. The third ritual makes one a conduit of the Force (letting the Force pass through oneself) which Bane did away with. It is important here because mortal beings are not meant to be filled to the brim with the Force, without the release valve of the second ritual it causes them to rot from the inside out.   This is important because by the old definition of Sith, the Force Cult that has dedicated themselves to being the Avatars of the Dark Side of the Force, there has not been a Sith since Darth Bane (barring one exception) and why the Banite Sith tend to rot while still living, the longer they are immersed in the Dark Side.  Dooku did not rot because he had done the rituals as a Jedi, though he had not dedicated himself specifically to the Dark, so he never took on the title of True Sith. Ventress, through her training with Ky Narec, had also completed most of the Jedi rituals, meaning she was not a Sith but as closer to it than Palpatine. It was actually Maul who, in growing up submerged in the Dark like he had been, accidentally completed a version of the lost second ritual, and became a True Sith in the old meaning of the word.
These rituals are meant to immerse a Force Sensitive in the Force itself, giving the connection more strength than it would have otherwise.  The Force abilities that we see the Jedi, and the Sith use, are because of the Rituals and why those that do not go through either version have much subtler/weaker abilities. It also means that the Jedi (and the Sith of old+Maul) give off the eerie impression that, no matter the size or species, they are somehow so much larger than they appear. That there is something beneath their skin trying to get out. Also being plugged directly into Force in the way that they are skews the way they view reality.   It can be hard for the Jedi to connect with beings that are not at least a little Force Sensitive and the Jedi care deeply, but sometimes cannot see what the actual problem is (saying ‘there is no death there is only the force’ is not meant to be a trite saying nor do many of the Jedi quite understand why it is not as comforting as they think it is).
At the beginning of the Clone Wars, both the Jedi and the Clones hide their eldritch nature from each other. Both groups had experienced how showing their nature to the wrong people can break minds and they had no wish to hurt the other.
The first sign that something was…strange was how in sync both groups were.  The Jedi marveled that the clones never cringed at the sight of them (and that which moved under their skin when they lost focus). The Clones were ecstatic that the Jedi never questioned when they had knowledge they should not have, nor the few occasions when multiple clones spoke from the same mouth.
Nat born officers would make comments, not directly but meant to be overheard, how the Jedi Padawans grew more ‘other’ every time they visited the Temple on Coruscant. The clones would only stare blankly, to them it seemed like the Padawans were simply growing into themselves.
Various Jedi and clones began to fall into love (Familial, romantic, sexual, platonic, and other).  It is Depa Billaba and Gray who first confess, and in confessing reveal their respective natures (Depa is the one who made the first move-as soon as the Clones knew of the Jedi’s nature they each sought out their Jedi).
The main reason that Jedi do not get in romantic relationships with non Force Sensitives (and Padme has no Force Sensitivity) is that theri nature pushes them to connect at the deepest level they can with their loved ones.  This can mentally damage non Force Sensitives.
For Obi Wan, if Cody had not confessed, Obi Wan never would have.  He had tried, before, to have romantic relationships with non force sensitives. A few times he had even managed to deny his own nature until the relationship dissolved naturally (Obi Wan, like most Jedi could be…odd, even when trying to fit in). It had become clear through his life that it just was not worth the pain to act on those kinds of feelings.  The knowledge that Cody could bond with him fully, was interested in him both romantically and sexually was a joy. Obi Wan was not even off put that by dating on clone, he was in affect dating all of the clones at once (who were also dating other Jedi)
Sometimes the Clones and Jedi switched partners. For instance Mace Windu, who was primarily dating Ponds, loved the Theater, which Ponds was ambivalent about but Bly also loved the theater (which Aayla actively disliked). So Bly and Mace had a standing monthly date night to a variety of theaters all over the galaxy, and at least once a year end up acting in a performance. Or how Fox was one of the only Clones that was not bored stupid at the Anniversary Ball, a pretentious event of a small but rich mid rim planet to celebrate the ratifying of a treaty, that Obi Wan is required to go to every year (even the years he was actively at war). So Fox is Obi Wan’s date, while Cody and Vos (who primarily dated the Coruscant Guard), would use the night to break up some kind of ring(slavery, drugs, smuggling, etc.)
Rex found that he fit neatly into Padme and Anakin’s relationship, somehow providing a stabilizing influence on their bond.  Padme and Anakin had bonded after the first battle of Geonosis but it was a case of Anakin being young and stupid and reckless, and Padme not actually understanding what Anakin was talking about when he tried to explain the risks (She thought he was saying that it might hurt her, and she was reassuring him that she trust him to be careful. He thought she was saying that she knew about the risks and was Force Sensitive enough to not be harmed).  There was already some damage done to  Padme’s mind (mostly in terms of willpower, personality, and impulse control) by the time Rex joined the bond, and not all of it was correctable, but most was.
It is not the Jedi and the Clones that disrupt Palpatine’s plans (though the chips never worked, so eventually they would have). It was Dooku, Ventress, and Maul. Maul was the first True Sith, though it was accidental, in almost 1000 years. Dooku knew what it meant to be Jedi/Sith in the original sense and could tell that Palpatine did not. Ventress, like Dooku, had gone through the Jedi versions of the rituals (those rituals may have been passed down since before the split, but time had caused a bit of difference).  Because Palpatine has the deeper connection to the Force but not release valve, for lack of a better term, he is more immediately powerful but in the long run is doing far more damage to himself than he realizes.  Sometime before Maul would have gone after Satine, he encounters Ventress, who recognizes him as an actual Sith and brings him to Dooku.
These three decide that they are going to destroy Palpatine (for being a Pretended Sith) and rebuild the actual Sith Order with the full Sith rituals. Maul is a bit surprised to realize that he, by himself, is more than a match for Palpatine (Since this was the man that had tormented him since childhood; he always had the picture that Palptine was bigger than life). Dooku then publishes all of the wrong doings he knew of from Palpatine’s entire circle-CIS and Republic alike- (and he knew about 80% of what was eventually uncovered). Then all three of them fuck off to Morriban to begin their research into resurrecting the Sith Order.
The Jedi Order and the Clones collectively decide to let them, on the basis that at least they know where the three Sith are and it keeps them busy.

Can you imagine how haunting the Jedi Temple must be?
That thing has been assaulted multiple times, burned, half razed, picked over, built over, and reoccupied. I absolutely understand and support Luke putting his academy ANYWHERE ELSE…even Yavin which ain’t great either.
Because how could you put young, impressionable Force Sensitive children in cavernous space when they could easily touch the pillars, the floor, the furniture and FEEL the massacres?
Sure there’s ages and ages more of serenity and contemplation and happiness to fill the Temple…but those ghosts have to be there, and why would you choose to potentially traumatize a youngling if you had the chance not to?

I’ve seen a good amount of ideas about Eldritch Force Cryptid Anakin Skywalker. Which is great! He is canonically 1/2 Force, and I love seeing the silly and terrifying effects that might have! But. Y’see. The Twins are both 1/4 Force. And they have no idea what’s possible. For instance.
Leia knows that the Force can be used to absorb blaster fire the way Vader did at Cloud City. Luke knows that the only limits put upon the Force are the ones the user put there. What if some Imperial fuckface put together a third Death Star, say, 3-5 years after RotJ? And decided that the first target would be Hosnian Prime (or whatever the capital of the New Republic is at that point), and waited until Like was there visiting Leia, so as to take out the biggest political and practical issues at the same time? So Highest Grand Moff His Imperial Fuckface pops out of hyperspace at just the right moment, DS3 all charged up, and fires at Hosnian Prime. And he waits the half minute it takes for the beam to destroy the planet. And he waits. And he waits. And the beam is gone but the planet is not. And standing right where the beam should have hit are the Skywalker twins, who absorbed the entirety of the beam because nobody told them they couldn’t.
Idk I just think it’d be neat

Okay so been reading eldritch/inhuman jedi things and eldritch/inhuman clone trooper things and would like to propose what if both were true but neither group realizes it for months?
So the Jedi are kinda eldritch or at least very distinctly Other and the clones are superhuman or Something Else or happily existing in the Uncanny Valley but not in the same way as the Jedi and they just. Don’t notice?
Like, its a big fucking galaxy. Everyone’s definition of normal is going to be different. Especially the clones. Because their definition of normal is freaking Kamino and being literally bred for war. They know what they’re like and they know what the Kaminoians are like and they might have picked up some things from whoever their trainers are but really the entire galaxy is going to be weird to them and everywhere they spend time could involve culture shock because they don’t know any other culture? And for the purposes of this prompt lets say that nothing about them that’s superhuman/not normal for regular humans isn’t something they notice that Jango doesn’t have. So they have basically no idea what Normal Human is and it takes them a while to realize they aren’t that.
And then the Jedi just like. They know they’re Eldritch. They can’t not. It’s part of the Force shenanigans. And they know how to hide it from other people. But that doesn’t mean they fully understand the regular limits of “normal people” r how off-putting they can be. This goes double for anyone raised in the creche or who doesn’t spend an extensive amount of time outside the temple interacting with others. And they realize that the clones can keep up with them in a way most cant and are just like “oh great finally don’t have to worry about leaving someone behind while running!” :) and just. Don’t really realize how weird/Other the troopers are themselves because their perception of normal is skewed.
Meanwhile the rest of the galaxy is like “okay who the fuck authorized the creation of ANOTHER group of eerie superhumans?!”

SHE’S BEEN UPDATED! YEAH BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
(I know it’s just an edit to the prologue, but there’s like a solid 1200 extra words that weren’t there before! It’s fun! We like this! We’re having a great time!)
Summary:
There’s something very weird about the Jedi. More so than what they’d learned on Kamino. They’ve been schooled on enhanced speed, crazy high pain tolerance, wisdom on the ass-end of vague, things floating—hell, Cody distantly remembers some kind of training on how to negotiate a stubborn Jedi into accepting medical treatment (cough, Kenobi and Skywalker, cough).
But there’s other stuff.
Stuff that even “space magic” can’t explain.

or; Clone Commanders get drunk and share stories about the weird shit their Jedi do

The rules: post snippets from at least one WIP you have abandoned!
i have a lot of abandoned WIPs, mostly ideas that i didn't feel the energy to pursue before losing interest and right now i'm writing on syku and beautiful comments energy so i don't think i'll be going back to them anytime soon or ever. the language in some of them is very... meh
but i really like this one!
Title: galaxy in veins
Description:
The Force binds everything, it is in the stars and their dust that forms the bones of sentients throughout the galaxy. The Jedi, connected to and drawn to the Force, carried more starlight within them than was normal in the eyes of the rest of the galaxy.
They say that even the stars go out, but how can one live in a galaxy where they are extinguished?
———
Bail knows how stars are born. How huge molecular clouds, disturbed by the surrounding space, shift and hydrogen particles press together like starved lovers. Closer and larger, until they reach collapse and begin to fall apart under their own heat. From decay comes heat, from which life is born. Not at its epicenter, but somewhere outside, not close enough to harm, not so far away as to remain indifferent.
Bail sees the birth of two, and that is all he knew and nothing else.
Padmé is a friend, ally, leader. Stellar nursery. Her heavy breathing and screams hit the walls of the room, are scattered across parsecs of space, and the asteroid rings shake as the medical droid methodically carries out its work. And now, light years later, the universe exhales, two stars illuminate the cold vacuum. Their first cries are solar flares, causing the devices to stutter. Bail can hear them even through the glass, but Obi-Wan on the other side doesn't flinch.
Padme gave all of herself to the galaxy and her last gift was a binary system. Luke and Leia.
Bail walks like a moth into the light and finds Obi-Wan. He sits hunched against the wall, in his arms there are three hundred stellar masses, no more than six kilograms. Sparkling and shimmering wings, like in a kaleidoscope, fill the room, and shadows fearfully gather outside. Nebulae pour from too many eyes, and Obi-Wan swaddles the children in them.
“We need to hide, kids,” Obi-Wan says. His voice pulses, lost in Bail's consciousness, but Luke and Leia watch, caught in the attraction. Again, too many eyes. “They are looking for light, and you are so bright,” and he hides them behind interstellar clouds, green and orange silks, too expensive to buy. “Close your eyes, like this.”
And the piercing lights dissolve like fog, the light of the wings is absorbed into the skin, hiding in the constellations of freckles. Obi-Wan exhales, turns his gaze to the children, who are too small, gods, they were just born. But maybe it’s the Force, maybe the reality of the danger that awaits beyond the hands of the Jedi, but gradually, like lanterns in the morning, the brown whirlpools disappear, the blue ones follow them.
“These too, young lady,” Obi-Wan says sternly, with a ghost of a smile, running his calloused fingers over her soft cheek. A second passes, the worlds go out. “Well done, great job, lights.”
The galaxy is spinning, the moment is passing, the children are screaming. Obi-Wan, very tired, very human, throws his head back.
“Let me save you,” Bail unfreezes and approaches the Jedi.
“Please, Bail,” Obi-Wan’s voice is hoarse, but he is in no hurry to part with either twin.
Okay, Bail can do it. He kneels in front of the Jedi, reaching for the two screaming packages.
“Your crude matter needs rest,” Bail says softly.
His friend's mind would not be at peace now. But one day, in a year or twenty, it will happen. Bail knows because he knows Obi-Wan. Not ten years, not even five, but he was there at the most desperate moment, when even the emptiness of space receded in the face of darkness, and Obi-Wan's light shrunk to a single candle. But he burned, stubbornly and against all odds. It was then, on Zigula, that Bail was pulled into his orbit.
Obi-Wan looks at Bail's hands, then at the twins. He doesn't even have the strength for consolation - the latter was laid on the obstetric table by Padme, and he is so tired of fighting with his friends. Obi-Wan slowly hands Leia and Luke over to him like crystal, and Bail accepts them like treasure. The warm supernovae in his hands continue to attack his eardrums. Perhaps the constant bickering in the Senate has made him a little less sensitive to such frequencies.
Bail leaves the room, the meddroid has prepared milk mixtures - hydrogen for the combustion of tiny blue stars, but lingers in the doorway. Turns around. The shadows return to the room, breaking through the flimsy defenses of the electric lamps, and Obi-Wan appears among them as part of the equipment. Another device that has served its purpose and is now hidden under the tarpaulin of the cloak.
“On your way, continue, senator,” it sounds next to him, and Bail doesn’t jump. His burden is too important for him to afford.
“Master Yoda,” he greets the Grand Master of the destroyed order, but his gaze is still focused on Obi-Wan.
“Care of young Obi-Wan, I will take. The younglings need your attention now.”
Bail wouldn't call his friend young. Too old for his years? Maybe. A red giant from which the outer shell was torn off, like armor, leaving it as a white dwarf. An eternity of dim light.
Bail turns his gaze to Master Yoda. He looks as old as ever. Like the one who saw the birth of the universe, held young galaxies, and then, at one moment, only planetary nebulae from dead stars remained on his old wrinkled hands.
“You are right, Jedi Master. Thank you.”
Bail walks away slowly enough to see Master Yoda approach Obi-Wan, brushing off the settled cosmic dust, and the ruined bastion shifts, gnarled fingers reaching across light years to touch another survivor.
Despite everything, there is still light in the galaxy.

The novelisation of the Phantom Menace has made me so incredibly sad, where little Anakin sees an injured Tusken and decides to disobey Watto to sit by the Raider until he wakes up. Anakin has such a deep, loving heart that he was willing to suffer the consequences of disobedience to make sure a Tusken Raider would be safe, a being he was taught all his life were brutal and cruel. And in this chapter, Anakin admits that the only thing that truly scares him, is of losing his mother. That juxtaposition, that note of I will care for this creature to I fear losing my mother, put so much more weight onto AOTC, and of Anakin's rage. He broke, and he lost himself to his rage. When faced with what he did, he rages against the world and his actions, before breaking down into further sobs at the loss of his mother and the actions he made. His worst fear was realised, and he became the monster that everyone claimed the Tuskens to be.
It'll be interesting to read the AOTC novelisation, to see if this scene is ever called back to. I just find it interesting, and further showcases the depths of Anakin's feelings and compassion, as well as the pitfalls that such strong emotions come with. For if you feel compassion and love as deeply as Anakin does, so will you feel the destructive nature of all of your rage. And that, that is Anakin's biggest weakness; he feels too strongly to ever truly control it.

Give Omega the family she deserves to have & a puppy 😭
She deserves the best. She's going to be a normal little girl (well, as normal as she can be while growing up with the little eldritch horrors that are baby jedi) with a dad (who's also her brother) and a puppy. She's going to be so happy~
Where's the rest of the Batch? Somewhere on the other side of the new Jedi Temple because Hunter cannot with the excited kids and screaming babies.
Blue stares at Hound a small smirk on his face, "How long did it take you to adopt her, vod? 15 minutes?" "Kriff you." Hound replies pleasantly, "You adopted you Jedi Commander." "Yes. Yes I did. Because she's a little adorable ball of chaos." Blue says fondly, "My baby eldritch horror." "What." "What?" "Can we backtrack to 'eldritch horror'?" Hound asks. Blue blinks, "Sure. Jedi can see into the future, throw things with their brains, and make people think what they want them to think. And the only reason they don't is because they're trained from birth to be good and kind. Hence, Eldritch horrors." "...right..." "Oh, has yours started talking to the galaxy yet?" Captain Gray asks as he walks back, "Because Caleb does, and it's both adorable and terrifying." "No. Ashanii prefers to have conversations with gentle things...like Rancors." Blue counters dryly. "Caleb once talked a rainstorm into not dumping rain on us for a couple of hours." Gray says fondly, "And then General Billaba scolded him for it." "...okay, now you're just bullshitting me." Hound says, "There's no way-" "Ashanii once asked a tree to lift it's roots to make a bridge for us to go over a swamp, and General Tano wasn't happy about it. She said it was rude to make those kinds of requests." "...I'm going to go ask Commander Cody if you're bullshitting me or not, because I honestly can't tell."
