Izaya’s Care | Izaya Orihara x OC

Izaya’s used to seeing people get hurt. It doesn’t bother him, in fact, he relishes in it. But not this time, this time is different. This time he experiences the full brute of human emotions himself—what it means to truly care for someone...

Aezel held the wound in her stomach. She watched the blood slipping through her hands like an observer to a dream.A moment later did she feel the effects on her body—the blood draining from her face, the air getting heavy but light at the same time, the cold shiver tingling up her body.

She slumped to the floor, the realization that she had been mortally wounded—that the fragile barrier humans keep throughout their lives had been shattered—hit her with grueling cruelty.

She sunk into the pavement, her body becoming one with the blood that poured out of her.

“Aezel! Aezel!” Izaya cried in panic.

In her fading mind, Aezel had a sharp awareness of the hysteria in Izaya’s voice. It was the first time she had heard Izaya panic before, a thing she never thought possible. She would’ve laughed, if the muscles necessary to do so were not torn.

Acutely, she felt Izaya’s hands on her body. She had another delirious thought. So this is what it takes to get him to touch me.

“Stay with me, stay with me dammit!” he shouted, the panic in his voice rising.

She imagined his wide eyes—the look he got in his face when for one, fractal moment something happened that was not a part of his master plan—and found herself smiling. She loved seeing that little bit of vulnerability. It was in those rare moments that she actually felt like she was looking at him. She wished she could see it now. Again, she almost laughed at the irony that the expression was the result of her own demise.

As she laid there watching her blood pour out into the street, her heart overfilled with love for the man. Each pounding of her uninhibited dying heart only made the feelings rush faster.

These feelings were not a shock to her. She’d known them. From the first day they met she’d known them. And they’d only quietly sprouted over the few weeks she’d gotten to know him. This man who was so villainized by everyone–he was the one she wanted to put on the highest pedestal. She’d seen his childish side, his malicious side, his sweet side, and she had loved all of it. As if a second wound had opened up in her heart, she was consumed by the sensation of loving him. She knew that there was one thing she must do before she left this planet.

Quietly, she reached for his hand.“Izaya,” she said, “Aishiteru.”

She faded into the darkness with a smile on her face.

Izaya watched the attack happen in slow motion. The stranger had come out of nowhere, and before Izaya could react he had had the knife jammed in her stomach.

The blood drained from Izaya’s face at the same time it did hers.

As she fell onto the pavement, he felt all the walls of his fortress tumble.Bare, and exposed, pure primal instincts drove him from this point out.

He crashed to the ground next to her. “Aezel! Aezel!” he screamed.

He watched the blood pouring out of her stomach, feeling as if the seconds of his own life were ticking by.

The more the blood leaked, the more the panic rose.

He watched the beautiful colour drain from her face.

“Stay with me! Stay with me dammit!” His voice sounded foreign to him. This strange new feeling took over ever part of his body. What is this… panic?

He grabbed onto her shoulders, hoping the action would somehow keep her in her body for one moment longer.

He realized, at that moment, like stepping away from a fire on a cold summer night, how warm she had made him feel.

She had amused him, yes, he’d known that, to the point where he wanted to spend more time observing her than any other human. But now he could see it was more than that. It wasn’t just observing her, he wanted to be with her. The times they’d spent together had lit him up from the inside out, like a lamp turning on after years of disuse. Her presence was one he felt safe in—recognized in—like for once the very human he loved to observe could see him back. The real him. And it was a feeling so caring and free. He was not the villain in her eyes, no matter how many times he tried to make it so, he was simply him. Izaya Orihara. Just another human.

The truth was obvious to him now. She was the first human he’d ever cared for.

And now he was going to watch that human go.

“Somebody! Somebody call an ambulance!” he shouted, addressing the crowd for probably the first time as a fellow crowd-dweller.

He reached into his pocket to pull out his own phone, his hand shaking as he dialed the numbers.

He dropped the phone a moment later as Aezel’s poor, trembling hand reached toward his.

At the touch of her skin on his he felt boiled up tears reach his eyes.

He leaned into her, doing his best to dam the roiling waves that rose in his body.

“Izaya,” she whispered, “I love you.”

He shook as he held onto her fading form. “I know, damnit. I know.”

So obviously you're into BSD & One Piece but where there other fandoms you still have brainrot for? Do you like Genshin or JJK?

♡ OoOoOo~ Excellent question, I've gotten a few DM's about my stance on Genshin Impact and I didn't know how to make a....formal declaration about my....dilemma. >///^///< I HATE GENSHIN WITH A PASSION! I had this OC for nearly a decade and then when Genshin came out I was harassed for copying the design of one of the characters. Bonus points they recently put out a character with the same name as that OC's love interest which was my other OC TT^TT So I don't touch it with a ten foot pole. My friend says it's probably for the best with how many characters they keep adding it would be hard for me to keep up but still.

♡ I watched JJK but eh no brainrot. I think it's because I've exhausted my love for that style of anime "it's just so and so with extra steps" kind of a feel for me. Fushiguro Megumi was my type clearly but I think since it was hard to make an OC because the rules are too vague for me to grasp is why I never REALLY got into it, and that's okay! It's very pretty both in animation & character design, and I like the general idea of the story plus EVE is one of my favorite musicians. Like you have no idea it should be my bag, my cup of tea but I just don't like it as much as my other friends and that bothers me.

♡ I watch & read a fair bit of anime/manga but I kinda just float around fandom spaces so *shrug shrug* my hyperfixation is Character Dynamics and how that effects the relationships between them, It's why I play with them like dolls, However

... I love Spy x Family but not enough to write for it??? Even though the character dynamics of the Forger's are my bread and butter but Durarara's been over for years and I still find myself making lil wips that will never see the time of day...

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

this one is tough! as I haven't been drawing a lot of full pieces/posting very very sporadically this year.

like what is considered "underrated"? is it notes? funny enough I think before the pandemic my art used to get more notes, so, would someone consider my recent works "underrated" in that sense? it's tricky. 🤔 I know it's easy to blame the algorithm but there are so many factors at play that we cannot qualitatively control for. being on the right platform at the right time, drawing for the right fandom at the right time, catering to a suitable audience, how you format the post (like do you show closeups or just post the full illust or crop your art? do you just post a video instead??), and a suitable caption (e.g. something witty, relatable, funny, or just something basic like emojis or just 1 word)

for me I consider a work "underrated" or underperforming (I think is a better word for it), is if the drawing is not interesting enough that nothing is said about it. either about either subject matter or artistic techniques. for me connecting to others through art is so integral to the artist experience. if a post gets 1000 notes but it gets 0 comments, then i consider it a failure. if something gets 100 notes but it gets many comments, i would consider it the opposite of "underrated'.

like would original drawings be more underrated than fanart? 🤔 people have trouble connecting to ocs since they don't know the source material, so often those kinds of posts would get less notes or less comments. just interesting things to think about.

it's easy to go into the archive and look at the older stuff that possibly didn't get seen around as much, but i'll try to pull some more recent pieces.

I think this 6 fanarts did badly in comparison to other works because the trend appeared in 2020 but I wasn't able to complete this that year ^__T and the trend didn't come back in 2021... guess I'm not a trend setter..................... sighs 😔 haha

I do want to try this kind of fanart compilation again though! I'm bad at drawing under pressure though so I would have to come up with my own prompts...

this Kekkai Sensen x Trigun piece! I think the crossover alienated fans of both series bc you had to enjoy both T__T and I also didn't draw characters from either series interacting so I don't think it ended up that interesting? bc I wanted to make this a diptych (it's clear that there's a middle divide now that I mention it) but the triptych didn't end up happening!

besides both being created by Yasuhiro Nightow, I haven't come across that many fans who are fans of both, actually...? it's not in the case where the author's work is more or less similar in tone (or same universe), like Baccano x Durarara, Pandora Hearts x Vanitas no Carte, Higurashi x Umineko. I think something like trigun x cowboy bebop would have worked better because people are always unfortunately comparing the two hahahaha.

I'm going to be posting my plot bunnies here. I'll post five ideas at a time. Enjoy part 1 of my plot bunnies.

1

Title: lonely souls no longer lonely.

Fandoms: Danny phantom. Durarara!!

Plot Summary.

Danny has to leave home because it's no longer safe for him.

In this fanfic Danny was adopted by the fentons when he was 3 years old. He is actually the illegitimate son of Orihara Shirou and is Orihara izaya's little half brother that he has no idea about or that he knows exists in the first place.

The rest of this fic would be focusing on Danny just trying to survive in the City of Ikebukuro. But he keeps getting mistaken for izaya.

(Update, there have been major changes that I have decided to make. I realized my original version didn't really have much of a story so I'm redoing it and actually making a story. It's not going to exactly match what I describe here. It's also the same for my other stories too.)

Title: x marks the spot.

Fandoms: Danny Phantom. Teen Titans.

Plot Summary.

It is no longer safe for the Fenton siblings so they leave their home dimension and they go to the DC universe.

There were some complications leading to Danny and his clone Ellie becoming babies at age 1 or 6 months.

And the title says it all (well at least the former one. I've decided to go with this title just because it's better than my original one.) Jazz is Red X in this, 50/50 if Jazz is gender fluid which would explain the more masculine appearance of Red X.

It's mainly just bamf jazz, she's raising her kids, kicking ass, and stealing stuff from evil corporations in Rich assholes.

50/50 if it is jazz x dick, but we'll just have to see.

The story would pick up where the Teen Titans cartoon ended. Perhaps the black and white monster could have been a ghost, maybe one connected to Danny and Ellie? Maybe we learn why Tara came back. FYI I know that there's a Teen Titans comic called Teen Titans go not the same as that cartoon, it's set in the original series. Point is I'm not following the comics, I'm going to do my own thing instead.

Title: Again.

Fandoms: Durarara!! Ark survival evolved.

Plot Summary.

Izaya Orihara wakes up on a mysterious Island inhabited by creatures long extinct and creatures of myth.

He is shocked to find his rival shizuo that he hasn't seen in 3 years. He finds him as an old man in his fifties.

So he spends the next 10 years repairing the relationship with shizuo and figuring out what the hell happened, only for him to wake up again on a mysterious Island younger and with shizuo coming onto the island the very next day.

(Update, so at the time I posted this I didn't know as much about Ark lore. I did some research and I realize I had some things wrong, so it's not going to be exactly like how I mentioned it here.)

Plot Summary.

Danny leaves behind a video diary for the three new halfa.

Plot Summary.

Two young girls come to the city of Ikebukuro to make a new life for themselves. They end up getting a bit more than what they bargained for, but a happy ending all the same.

Don't have very much for the story except the ocs end up adopting izaya and shizuo as their new parents. The ocs are similar to izaya and shizuo.

It's a Shizaya kid fic.

hi! i’ve already posted a couple of my costumes already but I thought i should make a post introducing myself !

my name is Eden but my handle on most social media sites is nanoucos pronounced [nah-noo] cos

i’ve been cosplaying since 2018 (my first ‘official’ cosplay was kim possible #slay)

my pronouns are they/them for the most part but i don’t really care what you use to refer to me (as long as it’s respectful), especially since i dress up as characters of different genders lol

i speak english and french, and i’m learning japanese and spanish (for fun lol)

i’m based in new york atm and i usually go to east coast cons, especially new york comic con and anime nyc, as well as castle point anime con, anime boston, and katsucon (i’m hoping to go to some more south-east cons in the future!)
