Hello! I absolutely love all your Dr Stone works!! Especially about Senku, so now I want to make a request. Can you do Senku fluff alphabet? Senku and reader are in relationship. I am not fluent in English, I hope you understood everything, thank you!!
hi there! thank you for your request! i’ve never done a fluff alphabet omg this was so fun. these are pretty much the same everywhere i looked but i specifically took questions from @ arlertdarling !
synopsis: your relationship with senku from a-z.
Tumblr media
( A ) AFFECTION — how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?
senku’s biggest and most prominent love language is very obviously acts of service, and even then they can be seemingly indirect or misleading. he typically frames the things he does as doing them for his own benefit, but they obviously benefit you as well. he’s a little more open with doing you favors or kind acts for no particular reason other than to help you or make you smile just because you two are so close and know each other so well.
perhaps if you’ve been together for a while, he’ll allow some physical affection from you, but typically never initiates it himself outside of gently tugging your hand to lead you somewhere or grabbing your shoulder(s), placing a hand on your lower back or what not to guide you elsewhere. he also tends to get more physical if you are/were in danger for obvious reasons. it's more so reassurance for him that you’re alright and being right there to help immediately in case something is wrong.
words of affirmation is a close second in terms of love languages. he can be really encouraging with his words when you need a pick me up, and really moving when you just need some reassurance when things feel too hectic.
( B ) BEST FRIEND — what would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start?
your friendship developed from your occasional bump ins when he’d be in the middle of an experiment. you’d always look on at him in awe, and eventually invited yourself to sit and watch and ask him questions, which he had no qualms at all with answering. from there you would watch and help out with his experiments more regularly.
he’s not a friend that's too high maintenance. whether you come to visit him in the science club room every day or once every couple of weeks, senku doesn’t treat you any less like a friend, or at the very least a well acquainted schoolmate. he’s fun to be around, however. someone you can go to if you’re bored and will always encourage you in your own hobbies. it’s your mutual dedication and passion for the things you love that make you two so close.
( C ) CUDDLES — do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?
not a big cuddler, but he can get a little clingy when he’s sleeping. he tends to curl in on himself, but if you happen to be in the vicinity, he might subconsciously reach for you. at best, he feels comfortable enough to lay his head on your thighs or stomach with an arm wrapped loosely around your waist or on top of your stomach. you make sure to avert any sort of conversation related to this when he wakes up, subtly maneuvering him off your lap as he sits up with a drowsy look on his face as to avoid embarrassing him or making him uncomfortable. you can tell he sometimes realizes what happened, but never outwardly says so--and never tells you to push him away, either.
( D ) DOMESTIC — do they want to settle down? how are they at cooking and cleaning?
not an incredibly prevalent thought. at best its fleeting if hes thinking about it at all. he’s probably very indifferent to the idea of marriage and having children, and even simply living a simple existence just isn’t his style.
in terms of chores, he probably does them fairly well, except it would probably take him a couple of reminders and has a bad habit of leaving messes from all the time he spent alone preoccupied with his experiments. however the fact that he managed his home by himself a lot probably means he’s good at doing them, but like any person, it’s probably a pain for him.
( E ) ENDING — if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?
probably finds a suitable time to talk to you somewhere private and flat out tells you he wants to end things. it seems harsh, but there’s no reason to beat around the bush. his tone of voice and expression are far from emotionless, however. he keeps himself composed and steady for the most part, but you can see that it also pains him from the slight waver and strain in his voice, and from the creases in between his brows and lines on his forehead. he makes sure to do his best to let you down as gently as he thinks he can and doesn’t judge you for any sort of emotions you feel or express toward him.
( F ) FIANCÉ — how do they feel about commitment? how quick would they want to get married?
again, marriage is probably a very fleeting thought for senku and something he’s for the most part indifferent toward. he doesn’t feel commitment needs to be cemented through a ceremony or new marriages titles or a piece of paper; he cares about you and loves you, and doesn’t need a ring on his finger to remind him to be unwaveringly loyal. maybe would make fun of some wedding and marriage traditions, but even though he himself would probably never suggest marriage, if it means something to you, he doesn’t see the big deal in going through with it--though he probably wouldn’t be all for a ceremony or anything too grand.
( G ) GENTLE — how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?
it really depends on the circumstances. sometimes senku can come off somewhat harsh to a person who isn’t all that familiar with him, but it typically isnt his intention, especially not with you. for the most part your relationship is mostly comprised of teasing and playful banter, but when you tend to get more personal and sensitive, the gruffness in his voice quiets down and becomes a lot gentler.
this also goes with physical touch. he sometimes tends to just randomly pull at you to follow him certain places, and of course if you’re in any potential danger, but his touch can also be super soft and reassuring, typically when you’re expressing insecurity or hard feelings of some kind.
( H ) HUGS — do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?
like said with cuddling, not a big hugger. grand pda is just not his thing, but he won’t always refuse it. if its you, he’s probably a little more willing to be touchy, but it doesn’t happen all too often. most of the time its you initiating the hug, whether its draping over him mid experiment or hugging him from behind as he takes note of something, and usually he doesnt comment on it or move away, simply letting himself exist in your arms as he does whatever he’s doing and continuing your conversation normally. he might sometimes rub his hand over yours or place his arm under your elbow when he turns around to face you with a fond gaze even despite his smirk and teasing tone.
( I ) I LOVE YOU — how fast do they say the L-word?
he has yet to say it outright as a single phrase, but its obvious that he says it in more indirect ways. in the kind things he does for you, in the concern he expresses when you feel low about something or might be in danger, in the ways he motivates you when you feel hopeless and insecure. and when you teasingly call him out for all of these kind things, he scoffs and rolls his eyes and will occasionally say things along the lines of “i love when you ____”. still, it’s rare even if he says this, and he’s usually very nonchalant when he does, but you can take notice of the slight shyness in his voice from the way it quiets just a slight bit and his eyes hold a softer expression.
still, it takes him a bit to get to this point. a lot of familiarizing yourselves with one another, getting more personal and proving yourself over and over as someone reliable and admirable makes it easier and easier for senku to express these feelings for you. and though he doesn’t say the L word out loud, he definitely thinks it with every impressive feat you manage to accomplish or witty remark you make that only solidify his reasoning as to why he’s with you in the first place.
( J ) JEALOUSY — how jealous do they get? what do they do when they’re jealous?
not incredibly often, but it’s not unheard of. it’s mostly when hes already overwhelmed with a lot on his plate, and seeing someone chatting you up, even if there wasn’t any flirty intention behind their words or actions, just irritates senku, and he’ll usually break it up by yelling at them to focus up on their work or guiding you away to help him with something else, calling over his shoulder “shouldn’t you be doing ____? how about getting on that instead of distracting our crew?”
it can be subtle, but it can also be very obvious, which leads to people making some teasing remarks toward him for it, but he mostly ignores them. same with classmates, he’ll just redirect their attentions away from you and swoop in to show you something of his own.
( K ) KISSES — what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?
like hugs, he’s not the biggest kisser, and he’s not the one initiating them. he’s sort of (very) awkward when it comes to kissing in the early stages of your relationship, and it takes a good amount of time before he eventually stops stiffening as much over a kiss on the cheek.
of course you don’t force him into anything he’s uncomfortable with, and have no problem not kissing him, but you can tell from the way he’s more relaxed when you lean over to give him a quick peck when he has a smirk or a pout on the lips that he’s grown to like them just a slight bit on occasion.
if he had to decide on a favorite spot to receive kisses, he’d maybe say his temple. if he were to ever initiate a kiss for you, it would be somewhere less noticeable and in private, such as on your inner wrist or knuckles.
( L ) LITTLE ONES — how are they around children?
so good. he’s stupidly good with them. he doesn’t even do anything consciously to try to appeal to them for the most part; they’re just drawn to his experiments and funny words, and of course senku for the most part indulges them, so he becomes popular pretty quickly.
it’s incredibly endearing to see him interact and form a relationship with the children of ishigami village, watching their curious heads peek from behind his shoulder or back at his experiments and petting their hair when they crowd around him, eagerly asking to play or show them more cool modern inventions.
sometimes he might whisper in their ears to go over to you to watch you do whatever it is you’re most skilled at, and you know immediately whose responsible for the sudden eager crowd of little people around you when your gaze meets senku’s and he shoots you a smirk, with you rolling your eyes in retaliation.
( M ) MORNING — how are mornings spent with them?
maaaaybe slightly controversial take but i think it takes him a bit to properly wake himself up. he’s pretty groggy in the mornings and isn’t fully ready to start the day until an hour or two after he wakes up. however, i can see the sleepiness fading from his system a lot quicker than it does for most people, so if you were to see him at school in the mornings or in a classroom, he’s annoyedly outgoing and cheerful for your taste. still, if you were to spend your mornings together even before all that, you’re usually spending them in silence or having quiet and short conversation.
( N ) NIGHT — how are nights spent with them?
arguably worse than mornings, but this time he’s keeping you awake. he doesn’t go to bed till probably around midnight, and most of his studying time is probably spent in the evenings. if either of you are sleeping over, usually senku has his nose in a book till his eyes get too heavy and he puts it down to rest. he either joins you already curled into bed passed out, or you sit beside him doing whatever you do in the evenings as he sleeps. nights are not all that eventful for you personally, it’s mostly just being in each others’ presence while doing your own things, with occasional conversation here and there.
( O ) OPEN — when would they start revealing things about themselves? do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly.
the more personal details about himself probably come later. definitely not an all at once person, and most of the time you just have to let him come to revealing stuff on his own terms. when he does, it’s during a time you’re being very sensitive and personal with each other, and it sort of slips out. either then or at another random time where he reveals something new about himself or his background very nonchalantly. you don’t usually call it out, but you’ll try to ask some questions to get him to expand and tuck the knowledge away.
again, he’s not the emotional type, so when it comes to himself and his more personal aspects, it can take a little longer to get information out of him compared to other stuff, such as his passion for and knowledge of science.
( P ) PATIENCE — how easily angered are they?
senku himself has said (if i remember correctly), that he gets irritated and is just good at disguising it. for him to be genuinely angry, however, i think would take quite a bit. he can be over the top in how he reacts when he’s annoyed, but it doesn’t come from a place of genuine rage.
i think in order to anger him, you’d have to insult something he deeply cares about repeatedly, or threaten it. and even then he’s usually good at not letting himself go crazy over it.
he’s rarely ever angry with you, if not at all. you’re both familiar with your banter and teasing, and you know what lines not to cross or not to take certain comments too personally.
( Q ) QUIZZES — how much would they remember about you? do they remember every little detail you mention in passing or do they kind of forget everything?
generally very good at remembering things about you. you don’t expect him to remember every slight off hand comment you make, but he often manages to surprise you when he brings up details that even you forgot you ever shared with him.
he cares about you a lot, and though he’s already pretty attentive, it only enhances when it comes to you discussing aspects about yourself. he’s interested in learning about you, from your hobbies to your fondest memory. whatever it may be, he usually is able to recall it.
( R ) REMEMBER — what is their favourite moment in your relationship?
he likes any sort of moment where he’s spending time with you working on an experiment or discussing something science related. working on the thing he’s most passionate about with the person he loves and cares for the most? those are his favorite times, especially since you’re always so enthusiastic about them, asking him question after question and helping him complete the experiment.
he also likes being able to indulge, and you encouraging him and taking an interest yourself is something he really appreciates. he also thinks it’s incredibly endearing to see you so passionate and curious, and very attractive when you explain your own research and demonstrate your own knowledge and skill. he never forgets how much you contribute to his own growth because of this.
( S ) SECURITY — how protective are they? how would they protect you? how would they like to be protected?
not overly protective unless you were in some sort of danger. even if there was potential for you to get hurt, he still isn’t the most overbearing in his concern. of course, he still likes to do whatever he can to prevent any danger (though he knows you’re capable of handling yourself, it’s more so for his own peace of mind and he just can’t admit to it), and so he does insist you wear protective gear and gives you tools to help you do your job more efficiently in the stone world.
he wouldn’t want you to step in and prevent him from doing anything, but the best way you could protect him is in the same way he protects you—by having his back. being there to provide him with the resources and support he needs in any given situation, especially dangerous ones or endeavors he very passionate about.
( T ) TRY — how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?
unless you’re a person who doesn’t really like to celebrate relationship milestone or events, senku will make at least some sort of effort to commemorate the moments somehow. again, it’s through more subtle and indirect means, but eventually you’re able to piece together why he seems to be a little nicer and more sentimental on those kinds of days.
gifts are also not always the most straightforward and are usually practical and science related, hand crafted by senku himself, which makes you appreciate them all the more. sometimes they can be too straightforward and basic, however. but if he knows there’s something specific you’ve been indecisive about getting, or a certain place you’ve been meaning to visit, he might surprise you with a trip or take that push to make that purchase for you.
he goes about his everyday tasks outside of science like any other person—or any other teen. he does well in school and helps out around the household with chores.
( U ) UGLY — what would be some bad habits of theirs?
can maybe get a little too distanced from his emotions. he has a bad habit of breaking intimate moments in favour of teasing, but it mostly stems from his own discomfort toward that sort of stuff. he gets better at handling it further into your relationship, but it’s a habit he still has trouble completely breaking down.
he also has a habit of getting too caught up in his experiments. there are certain days where all he wants to do is work, and sometimes that means making the people around him join in and help him. once he’s got his mind on something he’s determined to see it through, and this typically happened often where he wouldn’t pull away from the experiment or project until he gave himself a designated break or was forced to stop due to external factors.
( V ) VANITY — how concerned are they with their looks?
next to not at all. senku can understand wanting to look presentable, but the last thing on his mind is whether or not he should cut his hair a certain way or wear his shirt in a certain style (he’s never expressed a problem with his cowlicks).
he’s probably never stressed out that much about the way he’s perceived in terms of personality either. perhaps only when it came to testing his physical limits or dressing up in clothes that aren’t his own personal style (as seen in the wardrobe montage). but overall he’s not hyperfiaxfing on it, not even to try to impress you (he naturally cleans up well).
his close friends might tell you that he tends to subconsciously adjust his clothes or straighten his back when you walk into a room, however.
( W ) WHOLE — would they feel incomplete without you?
i don’t think so. senku has his own passions and goals and many other people who share them and that he’s close with. he definitely doesn’t need one specific person to make him feel like himself, and that’s one thing you greatly admired about him.
still, just because he thinks he can get by without you doesn’t mean he wants to. he’s always trying to include you in aspects of his life, and you’ve become such a big part of it that it would take him a long time to actually heal from not having you around.
he can’t deny that though it doesn’t feel soul crushing to be apart from you for so long, he can feel a more comfortable and reassuring feeling when he’s by your side.
( X ) XTRA — a random headcanon for them!
he’s really good at impressions thanks to his dad. it’s one of those habits that he really didn’t like but ended up rubbing off on him from how often byakuya did them, and every time he catches himself doing an impression or talking to himself in another voice, he physically stops whatever he’s doing and groans about how he “sounds just like my old man” or “is turning into my old man”.
it makes you laugh though, so he doesn’t feel as embarrassed doing them when he’s voicing a hypothetical situation of some sorts when he’s explaining something to do. if anything, your laughter only encourages him.
( Y ) YUCK — what are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?
a person who lacks ambition and curiosity. he doesn’t get how he could relate to a person like that at all, let alone spend the rest of his life with them. his partner doesn’t need to be as fiercely passionate about science as he is, but he wouldn’t want a partner that has absolutely no big interests hobbies or skills. those kinds of people seem like the ones he’d be least compatible with.
( Z ) ZZZ — what are their sleep habits?
most of the time tries to get at least 8 hours of sleep, but sometimes tends to get a little less. it’s important for him to have a healthy sleeping cycle/schedule so his brain and body can work to their full capacity. he can still function without a lot of it, but it’s harder on his mental and physical strength, so it’s even more important that he gets enough to keep him going throughout the day.
very rarely pulls an all nighter. has definitely pulled a couple, but it’s not often enough to have his body adjust to simply two hours of sleep without any side effects.
like i said before, he tends to cuddle in on himself, wrapping the blanket over his shoulders so he’s completely covered. cannot sleep well in the heat, so he’d rather be freezing at night. adjusts himself maybe a couple of times throughout the night, from curling against your leg to turning his back toward you.

I read 3,000 Miles after I saw your post about it and I loved it so much TwT you were so right in calling it a masterpiece!! I was wondering if you maybe have any other fic recs?
i'm so glad you liked it fgdhda that fic deserves all the love it can get 😭 and worry not anon i am so prepared for this question B) i actually have a collection of drst fics i really love and would readily recommend! it's mostly sengen rn but the plan is to add others in there too (hence the "favourite drst fics" rather than "favourite sengen fics" fgdshhd) i just haven't, super found all that many non sengen fics i really loved yet xD they are all of varying length and genre and popularity lmao basically my only criteria for them is just "i gotta love it alot" so all of these are very worthy of a read!!
but there's still some that aren't in the collection bc they haven't been approved for one reason or another (3000 miles being one of them) so i will rec those here!
first let's get the obvious out of the way, the observer effect (and its companion the uncertainty principle) has been my favourite sengen fic for a long time until 3000 miles rolled around, you probably know it already since it is the most popular fic in the tag fsghdha but for formality's sake, its an au where sengen were texting buddies before the petrification, but never revealed their identities to each other so they don't know who the other is when they meet up in the stone world TwT mutual pining galore, my favorite part of this are definitely the texting bits, in a lot of the fics i've read i've noticed its pretty hard to convey falling in love over text message GSGDHA but this fic really nails it
clad in words, scorching with passion is a super cute fic where in 2 chapters senku n gen take turns getting jealous and then just kinda. Talking It Out like normal people and coming to an understanding with each other and it's an absolute delight, i love established relationship fics and good communication SO MUCH
Ghost stories is a hogwarts au that was originally written as a twitter thread so the writing is pretty simple n the chapters are short but its so cute goddamn i love it sm 😭 senku and gen trying to be rivals but the can't bc they are so whipped for each other, oh my god this whole fic is pining bass boosted
Left Panel of a Triptych is actually not a sengen fic lmao SURPRISE!! it's basically an exploration of senku and xeno's relationship before the petrification and then leading up to the moment xeno orders the hit on senku, written from stanley's pov which just makes it even better. it's just kinda a short n simple thing but i really liked it, i wish there would be more fics of these 2
also just so this post is all encompassing for everyone else gdhdha here's a link to my 3,000 Miles rec again (with some art ^-^), also a few days ago a new oneshot was added to the series and its so cute😭
+some bonus stuff since this is already such a longass post might as well add these too, not exactly a "fic rec" but i def recommend the works by masssery on pixiv, they have a two part doujin series (with hopefully a part 3 coming eventually) that is like the only translated sengen doujin that i know of and i love it sm, and they also have two other standalone comics that don't have any dialogue and so they can be understood by english readers as well ^-^ and if you're still here do yourself a favor and check out these vids on yt: 1 2 3 4 (not a rickroll i prommie <3 first two are sengen, third is general and fourth is xeno-centric) OK THATS ALL FSHFHFHA
.........and if you're interested i also wrote a fic once xD

Hihihi!! I absolutely LOVE your writing and i was wondering if i could request a modern setting senku x reader where they're academic rivals? Tho it would be cool if reader (can be either gn or fem!) was good at writing/literature and stuff instead of science like senku. I feel like it would be a silly little dynamic:3 Uhhm i hope it's okay!! Tysm in advance and pls take your time!! <3
hi hi! thank you for your request! i hope this is okay!
Tumblr media
Though it often didn't seem like it since he is always so eager to indulge people in their scientific queries, Senku Ishigami is competitive.
This is something that his friend Taiju knows from all their gaming sessions, and later, this is something that is eventually discovered upon further watching him tackle tricky experiments. Never will Senku Ishigami turn his back on someone in need of help, on someone who wants to hear and learn more about science; but when a challenge presents itself, he’s determined to prove himself against it. Not for pride, but a sense of achievement. Excitement.
And for the longest time, you have been the biggest and most exciting challenge Senku has had.
The same went for you. Senku Ishigami had caught you quite off guard when you first met him. An eccentric, brilliant kid who wowed you with his scientific knowledge and capabilities. And when he discovered you in a similar fashion, a sort of unspoken rivalry was established--
--If rivalry even was the appropriate term to use, because there was never any real malice toward one another, especially from Senku’s end. Yet there was this lingering competitive air between the two of you on who could come out on top in certain projects. This was for all classes and assignments.
Jabs at one another was just part of your relationship (and sort of ritual, when in competition) with Senku, and certainly from an outsider’s perspective did it come off harsh and from a place of hatred. Any thoughts of malicious intent toward one another were instantly dissolved, however, when said outsider took notice of the way you two looked at each other, with not only matching challenging expressions, but genuine reverence and appreciation for what you bring out in one another.
Science, of course, was where Senku was primarily eager to take up a challenge. Though it was mostly him who showed you up in this area, it was you that showed him up when it came to literature. Reading, writing, communications; now that was your area to shine. It was not only this passion but your extensive general knowledge of the world (and what lies outside of it, which had pleasantly surprised Senku) and ambition for learning, forming relationships, and growing, along with your indulgence of Senku’s own enthusiasm, that made you so exciting to the scientist.
If previously discussed outsider who assumed that the two of you harbored malicious feelings for one another couldn’t catch on to those lingering gazes and continued to hold their previously stated assumption, there were many other instances that could’ve changed their view.
The two of you could often be found in a spare classroom sitting at the same table doing work together, asking each other questions and making conversation both pertaining to the work at hand and about whatever else was on your minds. Through the door that was often left half opened, passerbys could catch on to your enthusiastic chatter and get a glimpse through the long thin window an exchange of notes on the table the two of you occupied.
The members of the science club can always anticipate your visits, your name and face becoming recognizable as a regular visitor despite not being a formal member. Nevertheless you were always welcomed in with updates on projects, and you spent your time looking over (primarily Senku’s) shoulders and having your eccentric friend eagerly walk you through his own recent work.
The school newspaper and book club recognize his face just as much as the science club members recognize yours. The paper has covered Senku’s eccentric projects a few times after taking up your suggestion that the work he does would make for an interesting article. He’s read them and sprouted glowing praise on the way you captured the thrilling essence of science so stunningly (all in an awed tone as he scanned over the paper, while you attempted to exude nonchalance with a shrug, though you could feel the warming in your cheeks give yourself away). The book club has discussed quite a bit of science fiction from Senku’s own suggestions. He’s sat through a couple of meetings despite not being all that interested in genres that weren’t related to non-fiction, sci-fi or fantasy. Still, his in-a-nutshell summaries of chapters and events make you laugh, and so he at least gets something out of them.
And so when the misconception is eventually cleared up, the outsider can now see how endearing your dynamic really is; the fact that the two of you can get so into your competition but so very easily fall into a groove of working together. You encourage and build each other up to be better with your own work and questions inspiring him, and his inspiring yours.
And ultimately this is what made you so attractive to one another; the fact that you were both incredibly dedicated, hard working and intelligent people. Now, it’s no wonder the two of you got along so well together
(If there was something that wasn’t so endearing, and again brought up the point that perhaps you held some sort of malicious intent with your quips, it was when you’d combine your knowledge to gang up on others. The ill-natured vibe it gave off was unintentional on your parts.)

Hey!! (。・∀・)ノ☆
If it's okay, could you please write a Senku x gender-neutral reader oneshot in which the reader really wants to learn more about astrophysics (likely being inspired by Senku), but they're nervous and way too hard on themself, thanks to all of the criticism and discouragement they've faced from their family? ☆
Sorry about any of the grammar or spelling mistakes I might've just made, lol - I just woke up about an hour ago, but I got super excited when I saw you were taking requests! Have a great day/night, and no pressure <3 ☆
Tumblr media
hi there!! thank you so much for your request and patience! i hope this is what you were referring to in your request, i'll edit a bit more in the morning </3 i WOULDVE answered this directly but i suddenly couldnt find it in my inbox anymore. forgive me!
synopsis: you doubt just how far a passion can get you.
Tumblr media
You’ve really got to hand it to him; science was awesome.
The way Senku charged forward with his passion, never once wavering in his love and belief in it despite the backlash and hardships he received was inspiring. All the time you spent around him had his determination and fearlessness inspiring you as well. And when you told him about your pursuit in learning more about astrophysics, all thanks to Senku’s own fascination and all the crazy experiments he roped you into, he was more than ecstatic.
He’s been the main provider for your fascination, being damned if he wouldn’t take the opportunity to indulge you in the awesome power of and wonder that was science. It was a constant stream of information all coming from Senku, whether it was in the form of some texts he found or one of his rants on a related experiment. It even fuelled his own excitement of being able to talk science with you, eager to dump everything he’s learned into your mind and show off every related experiment he’s capable of.
Not that you were complaining in the slightest. You soaked up his knowledge and excitement like a sponge, just as eager to learn and indulge as Senku was. You traded information, having conversations that would last hours on the topic. Never once did either of you bore.
Though it wasn’t long until your family had found your stash of books on the subject and had walked in on you pouring over the information in them. Family members skeptically eyed your notes and the titles of the books you were signing out from libraries and borrowing from Senku. They doubtfully questioned you, and it was as if a switch had been flipped in your head, suddenly feeling small and insecure under their disapproving and scrutinizing gazes.
It wasn’t hurting anyone, it was just a hobby of yours. And they agreed. Besides, the benefits that came with having a career in the sciences was well worth the pursuit. What felt like a blow to the chest was the fact that they doubted this passion of yours, your capabilities and your commitment to it.
“You can’t waste all this time on a hobby.”
“Are you sure you have what it takes to pursue this?”
“I just don’t know how suitable this is for you…”
“This interest will die out in a couple of months. Don’t let yourself get caught up in something that will ultimately be of no value to you.”
Words like these and long conversations about your family doubting your passion in astrophysics made it hard for you to continue enjoying learning the material, and your attitude toward it slowly started to shift.
This shift didn’t go unnoticed by Senku, of course. He was all too familiar with people doubting the validity of his passion for science. His enthusiasm and insane experiments have gained him both admirers and people who doubted and even resented his eccentricity, viewing him as an oddity. He was all too familiar with people doubting his knowledge and science as a whole! Thus, it was why Senku was the perfect man to help you get back into your old mindset.
His mission to get you to believe in the awesome power of science started as soon as you first met him, but now he had to help you get back on the track to believing in yourself.
He remembers when you first reluctantly told him about this seed of doubt that had been planted into your mind, slowly invading your mind like an invasive plant.
Senku made sure to weed out the root of this seed before it could invade the rest of your mind, thorny and suffocating in vines. If there’s anything his old man taught him, it was what support and indulgence could do and where it could take him.
He can tell you’ve become more doubtful in your knowledge when it came to your discussions, not as eager as you once were to share your findings and things that particularly interested you in the subject. Corrections Senku made seemed to fluster you all the more, even quiet you at times, no longer enthusiastically accepting his contributions to discussions.
Suddenly you don’t feel as capable as Senku is. You watched his love of science grow up alongside him, and you’re fearful that you just won’t be able to commit to that interest as much as Senku does. What if you’re no good at it? What if you never grow? What if you constantly fall behind? What if you lose interest entirely? The doubts in your mind were endless.
But to Senku, his love of science came very naturally, and he was able to tell that so was the case for you. It wasn’t forced and you certainly weren’t complaining when it came to indulging in the material. You were knowledgeable and capable in the subject, and above all, he could tell that you had fun with it. And ultimately, that was what you needed reminding of.
And so one afternoon after another no-go at getting easy discussion out of you, you had revealed to him in a messy jumble all these fears that were pulling you back from continuing to pursue this interest. He listened with a frown and furrowed brows as you explained to him the doubts your family had put in your mind, and reflected on them throughout.
And once you were finally done venting those doubts that were weighing you down like a boulder chained to your leg, a moment of silence followed.
Suddenly you’re even more nervous than you began, having no clue what to expect from Senku’s response. But then you hear him speak up: “So what?”
You immediately raised your head, staring at him in confusion. “What?”
“So what?” he echoed, a small smile breaking out over his face. “Science is trial and error. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of time to learn and apply. It can be frustrating and all the failures can be discouraging--if you choose to look at it that way.”
He places his hands in front of his lap and propels himself forward, just slightly, so that his face is inches from yours. You’re taken aback for a moment, and his smile still hasn’t left him.
“Failure is part of the learning process, a big part! Doubt and speculation are what lead to more theories, more experiments, more learning, and more growth. And with every failure you learn something new, so you never really lose!”
He rests backward, but never leaves your gaze. His voice grows gentler, but doesn’t lose any of its resolution. “You know this.”
“And besides, science isn’t about being the best. You like it ‘cause it’s fun, right?”
And his smile grows a little wider when he sees in your face the reminder slowly coming down on you, snapping you out of this trance of self-doubt.
This interest didn’t develop out of a need to impress, for validation, or any other ulterior motive other than to indulge in a fascination that turned into a hobby you really truly loved. Not because of the praise it brought in from peers, but because you enjoyed immersing yourself in it, from the textbooks to the lengthy conversations to the experiments that took a hundred tries to get right. The successful end goals were just as fun as the insightful process. Even if it took a while to grasp certain concepts or review certain material, it was just all the more exciting and rewarding when it finally did click.
And though there would always be people who are hesitant to give their all and project those doubts, it shouldn’t hold you back and have you following in their footsteps.
Besides, having Senku to indulge with certainly meant that you would never, ever have to doubt for long.

Hello! Just a quick comment, I adore your work. It's really great! On that note, may I request a senku ishigami x fem! reader, where they are married in the future modern world (after they rebuilt civilization), and everyone (the media) questions both senku and her about their relationship status as a married couple, since even though they are married, they still look like they're just besties and don't really act like they are married. And some other people (mostly acquainted businesswomen) swoon over senku and start asking the reader if they did that and some other mature and vulgar questions that makes the reader uncomfortable, so she snaps at them, returns home, and she tells senku about it and he comforts her. If it's too detailed, IGNORE!! take care!!
Tumblr media
hi anon! thank you for your kind words and for your request! i've had an idea to write something with married Senku for a while now so thank you yet again for indulging me. i hope you’re doing well and taking care of yourself!
warnings: implied nsfw language but nothing descriptive + some slight manga spoilers

Nobody ever expected Senku Ishigami of all people to get married.
What was even more surprising was that he married you- not because you were disliked, but because you were quite the opposite; a genuine person with a kind heart, a curious mind and a passion for learning. With common goals and mindsets, it was easy to befriend Senku, and soon enough, a close friendship between you, Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha was formed. You had been with the Kingdom of Science from the very beginning, being one of the first people to break free from the stone and proving to be incredibly resourceful. Throughout the Kingdom of Science’s missions, victories and roadblocks, the feelings you and Senku had for each other started to develop into something more than close friendship.
Your friends could scarcely believe it when the two of you revealed you were dating. There was no loud announcement or big public displays of affection that gave it away, but rather a comment that slipped from you referring to Senku as your boyfriend. They all turned to Senku, looking for confirmation, who simply stared dumbly at them and said, “yeah. Didn’t you know?”. The two of you weren’t the type to make your relationship obvious, but once it was out, your friends were shocked at how they didn’t catch onto the flirting banter, loving gazes and acts of service sooner.
Time went on, missions continued, and the two of you only grew closer, but never excessive when it came to physical affection. And just as you both never announced your change in relationship status the first time, you didn't announce your change in relationship status when the two of you got engaged, and later, married. One day, when civilization was finally on the road to revival, rings suddenly appeared on your fingers, and it took a surprising amount of time for anyone to notice due to all the busyness. Needless to say, when your friends found out about this progression in your relationship, they were more than happy and more than surprised, more so for Senku than for you.
When the news eventually leaked to the media, the press went wild. Interviews were constantly attempted to be organized and there was even the occasional ambush out in public. It was irritating not only to you and Senku, but to your family and friends who were also interrogated on the matter. All of you had mostly done a good job to avoid the press, but today, they had caught you particularly off guard on your way to the lab. As soon as you stepped out of your car, a wave of reporters with microphones and notebooks flocked toward you. Flashing lights and overlapping voices overwhelmed your senses instantly. You were getting sick of the constant intrusiveness, so you figured if answering a couple of questions would get the press off your back, then what was the harm?
You smiled and nodded politely at the crowd, deciding to spare a couple of minutes before meeting with Senku and the rest of your science team. “Y/N! Is it true that you and Senku Ishigami are engaged?” You held up your right hand to show off a silver ring with a small, glittering jewel on your finger. Though Senku wasn’t big on tradition, especially considering humanity’s reset, he couldn't deny the warmth that bloomed in his chest when he stared at his own wedding band. “Married, actually. For a month now.”
“Was a wedding ceremony held?!” another reporter cried out. Senku was weary about it, but your friends and family insisted on a wedding. It was nothing grand, but vows were exchanged, you tossed a flower bouquet into the crowd (and a disappointed Luna caught it with conflicting feelings) and you were surrounded by your loved ones. It wasn't yours or Senku’s style, but you undeniably had a good time. You remembered Senku complaining about Taiju insisting on tradition when the two of you retired to bed that night, and then contradicting himself when he suggested a double wedding between him and Yuzuriha and Senku and yourself, which made you laugh at Senku’s disgust over the idea. “A small one, just with our closest friends and family. Senku was especially skeptical…but we had a good time.”
“Have you two had any intimate time together before or after you got married?”
You couldn’t tell who had asked this question, but you subconsciously drew your eyebrows together and squinted your eyes, the smile on your face dropping for a brief moment. “Senku and I, along with the rest of our team, have been very busy…the wedding was a nice break from work but we spend plenty of time together in the lab.” You laughed awkwardly, and before anyone else could comment or ask a question, you felt a pair of hands suddenly rest on your shoulders.
“Sorry everyone! Y/N has somewhere to be!” A familiar woman’s voice spoke up from beside you, and you were relieved to see two business women you and your team worked closely with interrupting the impromptu Q&A session. Both you and Senku were well acquainted with the women, and you knew them to be very friendly people.
As the two steered you away from the crowd and into the building, you sighed as the noise from outside grew muffled behind heavy walls and turned to thank your saviors. “Really didn’t expect reporters to be so nosey about a scientist’s private life.”
“You’re working on big things! Any sliver of humanity you two show, they’ll report on.” One of the women chuckled, and you smiled exasperatedly.
“But it does make me wonder…have you and Senku had any? You know? Alone time?” You glanced uncomfortably at the other woman, instinctively inching away from her. “We’ve been busy…as I said to the press.”
“Yeah, but you know! You’re a married couple now! You’ve got to have some action by now, right? What’s he like?”
You stopped walking alongside the women and shot them a dirty look as they stared at you confused. “Why is it any of your business what my husband and I decide to do in our free time?” The women eyed each other and then looked you up and down. “You don’t need to get so worked up, Y/N! I mean it’s Senku! You of all people should understand why we’d be curious!”
“It’s none of your concern. Thank you for excusing me from the crowd back there, I now need to be heading upstairs.” And with that, you walked past the business women and toward the lab.
All day Senku could tell you were in a foul mood, but he could also tell that you weren’t up for sharing what was bugging you. Considering the two of you were at work, he decided it would be inappropriate to ask in front of your team and would wait until everyone clocked out for the night. The two of you were always the last ones to leave the lab anyway. Still, it didn’t stop him from glancing over at you from time to time and observing your behavior throughout the day.
After a long day of work, you exchanged goodbyes and goodnights with your fellow scientists as they slowly left for the day one by one, until only you and your husband remained working away. There was no more busy chatter and bustling activity at this hour- just pen against paper, the gentle whirring and clicking of machines and an overall sense of ease as you winded down for the day.
As you were about to suggest consulting with another scientist for your project to Senku, he suddenly spoke up, asking you, “is everything alright?”
You were caught off guard by the question and you looked up from a paper to Senku, who was leaning over a short counter, writing up notes. “You seemed to be irritated by something this morning. Don’t want whatever it is to affect your work.” He lightheartedly teased as he turned to look at you, but his grin slowly faded as he took notice of your tense face.
“Just some weird questions asked about us this morning.”
Senku eyed you as you turned away from him, hunching over your own set of papers. “Those two business women?”
You turned toward him again in surprise, seeing Senku with his eyes shut as if he were thinking hard, now leaning against the counter with a hand on his chin, the other supporting his elbow. “Can’t remember their names for the life of me.” He says as if he doesn’t work with them. You rolled your eyes while he opened his and looked down. “They’ve been acting real chummy with me recently.”
You stared surprisingly at him upon this revelation. These exact women have also been badgering Senku?
“Yeah, they’re a real pain. I obviously told them to bug off, but they seem to be pretty persistent. Must’ve gone to you when they realized they hit a dead end with me.” He leaned against the counter and crossed his arms with a frown, but then he turned to you. “We could get rid of them.”
“What?! You want to fire them?!”
“Calm down, I just mean we can get them to leave us alone. Relocate them or something.”
You stared at Senku as though he had grown a second head, and you thought hard until you were startled by his cackle and wicked grin. “I mean it’s not like they’ve been doing their jobs all that well! They’ve been too busy gossiping like school girls to realize how unprofessional they’re behaving; we’d have a valid reason for letting them go!” But he stopped and turned toward you when you suddenly placed a hand on his shoulder. “We don’t…need to get rid of them. You can threaten them or whatever but…all that isn’t necessary.”
Senku turned away from you and chuckled, his voice softening once again, but still holding on to a little bit of firmness. “They made you uncomfortable, Y/N. That’s more than enough reason to do something about them.”
It was occasional instances like these when the passage of time really hit you, when the growth you two have undergone really shines. The teenager you met all those years ago wouldn’t have turned away an ally because they were bothersome to one or two people. Before civilization was running, there was always a potential threat, some great obstacle that required monumental amounts of work and help to overcome. But no matter what, you and Senku had the most absolute faith and trust in one another. There was no challenge you two couldn’t overcome, and that proved true even today, with society back up. Senku is still the same old him- the logical guy who covers up his sentiment by finding a logical reason to justify it.
“And…there’s no way to fully get the press off our backs...but we could always amp up security, you know?” Senku gave you a sly smile.
You wrapped your arms around his neck as you stepped forward to hug him, giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek that you hoped conveyed the gratitude you felt for his words.

Hello there dear! I was so excited to hear that your requests were open again, your writing is truly gorgeous and perpetrates the characters so well! I understand if you’re busy and prefer to write about jjba as of late, but if it’s not too late would it be alright to request another Senku ishigami fic? He doesn’t get a lot of love anymore and I believe it to be such a wonderful series.. it would be amazing!
Tumblr media
hi there anon! thank you so much for your kind words! because you didn’t specify a theme or plot, i wrote an idea of mine instead. i hope that's alright!
Tumblr media
Senku never fails to surprise his peers. He has a knack for amazing and even scaring people with his science projects. His enthusiasm was seemingly boundless, contagious even to those who weren’t as passionate about science as he was. Not many people could usually match his excitement, and a lot of the time he’d indulge in whatever new science fascination he discovered on his own.
Or so people thought.
It didn’t take long for people to learn your name and for it to become commonly associated with his. The two of you spent all your free time working away on projects, from chemistry to tech. You had been Senku’s friend ever since the two of you were young, and growing up together hasn’t changed the fact that Senku always sought you out first to share in his enthusiasm with.
Senku never fails to surprise his peers, and today was no exception. The door to the science clubroom swung wide open and hit the wall with a loud thud, making the club members turn in surprise toward the door. Senku strode toward a nearby counter, setting down a small metal tank on top as he did so.
As he walked over, one of the nearby club members turned to him in wonder. “Whoa, Senku. Whatcha got there?”
“Sulfur hexafluoride. A gas six times denser than air. In other words, you turn into Darth Vadar when you inhale it!”
The club members all gasped in awe, eager to try out the gas themselves. Senku raised his hands up in mock surrender as they crowded around him and smirked. “Y/N’s bringing the balloons. Are they not here yet?”
As soon as he asked, the door to the science clubroom slammed open yet again.
“Right here!”
The crowd redirected its gaze toward you holding up a plastic pack of balloons in the air with a proud smile. They cheered as you made your way over, handing it over to Senku.
He hands over the balloon for you to try first, and the room quiets as you inhale from it. A beat of silence, and then-
“Greetings.”
Your unnaturally deep voice makes everyone in the room light up and laugh, taking the balloon from your hands to give the voice a try themselves. Soon enough, each member of the club is taking turns playing the part of an evil villain dropping a dramatic line.
The two of you had already tried out the effects of the gas on your voices at Senku’s place only a day earlier. It was needed for one of your projects, and Senku, knowing you’d get a kick out of it, demonstrated the effects of the gas on his voice as you laughed over how creepy he sounded. You amused yourself with the gas from time to time as the two of you worked. You always kept a balloon in your hands, inhaling into it at the most random times, always making yourself giggle. And today was no exception.
As you laughed watching your clubmates entertain themselves with the gas, you skipped over to Senku and nudged him in the side. “So, does that mean helium’s next?”
It’s what he found so endearing about you, your endless curiosity and enthusiasm. He loved being able to share with you his deep love and fascination of science and have you return that same fascination with the exact same energy. He loves watching your face as you observe an experiment he’s done a million times in wonder, and he doesn’t think he’ll ever get sick of your eagerness to learn.
Senku never fails to surprise his peers, and that includes you, too. And out of all the impressed looks he gets, he finds yours to be the one he's always most eager to see.
He grinned, ready to blow you away yet again. “Ten billion percent.”

to show that i care
Tumblr media
☾ ft. ukyo saionji
☾ it’s the small things that make up your relationship with ukyo.
☾ request: hello, I'm a reader of your works and I really like it, although I'm new to the app, ah sorry for the english, english is not my first language, anyway can i ask if i'm not a ukyo saionji x reader? I almost can't find fanfic of this angel, he deserves more love in dr stone Anyway if you can, if not ignore ok <3
Tumblr media
You and Ukyo are like an old married couple.
Not the ones who bicker childishly that others made fun of, but those sweet, domestic couples with a seemingly very rare, special connection. Many people could only aspire to have a relationship half as loving and kind as yours, but if you were asked (which you definitely were), there really was no big secret. You simply loved one other and put in the work to make it show, and shown it was through small acts of love and service.
Those small acts made up your relationship. Hairline kisses. Finishing each other's food. Staying up together watching a show. Learning something new together. Reading together. Hello and goodbye kisses. Nightly walks with your arms intertwined. Resting your heads atop each other.
He’d help you get ready for bed when you accidentally let your work take you into the early hours of the morning. You’d treat him to a relaxing night when he’d come back from an exhausting job. You took turns running different errands. It was these small things stacked atop one another, this balance and mutual effort that led to such a harmonious relationship everyone envied.
The small things still lingered even after reuniting in the stone world. Stealing his hat, learning archery with him, sleepy conversations as the two of you drifted off to sleep. Learning to navigate your way through your new life as the two of you once navigated your way through your old one.
Both of you had your respective lines of work, and Ukyo refused to do his unless you were by his side doing yours. Everything he did, he did for you, and Ukyo never wanted you to live plagued by fear. In your large, intimidating and unpredictable worlds, at least there was the stability of your relationship that took form in those small acts.
He’d open up to you about his doubts, his fears, his insecurities, as did you. Especially when he acted as part of the Tsukasa Empire out of fear, you simply held his hand and told him how incredible it was that even in this harsh world he’s maintained his kind heart. You let yourselves be vulnerable, trusting that the other would reach out a comforting hand to hold. It wasn’t all that easy, and it certainly took time to build up that unwavering trust, but all the setbacks only reinforced that bond you have today, because you still stayed together through the ugly bits those envious people never saw.
He’d finish your leftovers when you accidentally ordered too much food. You’d comb through his hair to help him relax at night. The two of you listened to one another free of judgment, and gave nothing but truthful advice when asked for it. All of these things were simply reminders that the balance was there. The love, the trust, the effort was all always there.
And so when you were to depart with Ukyo after Ryusui declared that he was needed overseas, the two of you didn't worry. Instead, you smiled and bid him farewell- making sure that he knew he was a dead man if anything happened to him- and waved him off, confident despite your joke that he would return to you with the rest of his crew a hero, as he had always been in your eyes.

Hello!!! Can I request how would Senku, Tsukasa, Ryusui and Xeno (if you're familiar with him) (separately, slightly angst??) react to finding out their s/o has self-harm scars/is self-harming? If you're not comfortable writing that, it’s totally okay!! I just thought that because I've never seen anyone do this I'd maybe try to request it before the asks close.
Don't know if you heard this but I really like your writing!! 💕
Tumblr media
hello there!! thank you for your request! i hope that you are safe and well, and i hope i did this request justice. feedback is absolutely welcome.
warnings: implied self harm but nothing descriptive
Tumblr media
Senku: alternatives. Senku could handle the emotional shtick pretty well, even if it wasn't his forté, but with a matter so sensitive, he opted to go for what he did best; using his knowledge of science to help you in whatever ways he can.
Senku has always been a man of action, and so that’s the way to go for him. His care and concern is expressed through his means of trying to help you cope or recover, but you can also see it in his eyes when he catches glimpses of the scars.
He has a good eye and good intuition- besides, he cares about you enough to know what makes you tick. He tries to prevent your harmful thoughts or redirect your attention away from them before they can manifest further. This usually means making some witty comment that you can resonate with, or having Senku whisk you away to aid him in a science experiment, finding ways to keep your hands and mind busy on something fun and creative that can help you relieve stress.
His medical knowledge comes in handy when he suggests harm minimization strategies, and he knows sometimes they can feel silly or not do enough justice, but if he can do anything at all to ease the pain in your mind and keep you away from harm, he’ll absolutely be doing it, whether its physical means of relieving yourself in slightly safer and less damaging ways, such as trying to reduce how often you harm and what means you use. He teaches you about all these other methods as well, from something more mellow to drawing on skin to something a bit reminiscent of the pain, such as physical activity.
Whatever it may be, Senku will absolutely be using it in an attempt to help you, but makes sure not to push too hard with them, and simply suggest or show you methods and let you dictate for yourself whether they were helpful or not. Whatever it is you choose, he'll always make an active effort to help support you in whatever ways he can with his knowledge of science.
Tumblr media
Tsukasa: listens judgment free. He understands feeling isolated, and from experience, he knows how simply hearing a person out can go a long way. He understands that the subject is difficult to talk about, and so he’ll never pressure you into opening up about details you’re uncomfortable with. He lets you take your time, always making sure to be there for you in other ways to reinforce in your mind that he’s someone you could trust.
Whether you pour out your feelings or only reveal bits and pieces in the way you’re most comfortable, he won’t once interrupt until he’s sure you’re finished talking. All his attention is fixed on you, and he doesn’t overwhelm you with questions or his own opinions either. Telling a person to stop is much easier said than done, and so he doesn’t, instead doing his best to communicate that he’s here for you if he can do anything at all to help.
Though not too familiar with alternatives himself, he remembers soothers that helped calm his sister when she was a baby, and he offers to try them on you when the urge arises. Though maybe childish, if they could distract you even for a little while, Tsukasa was glad. And even though he’ll always gently direct you to people and resources that could be of better help, if all you need sometimes is a listening ear to vent, he’ll always be right there with absolutely no exceptions.
Tumblr media
Ryusui: pampers. The man is treating you like royalty. But not before he gives you some sort of inspiring or emotional speech. No matter if it comes out harsh or corny sometimes, it always leaves you feeling the slightest bit lighter.
He’s distressed by this habit of yours of course, and it’s evident in his face that he’s biting back on a comment when it’s addressed. He doesn’t mean any harm or to be overbearing, and he never is. He’s not one to pressure or guilt you, he knows better than that.
He tends to intervene sometimes however, occasionally overstepping with good intention. He’d much rather have you safe and angry at him over anything else if he does tend to overstep. In general however, he just wants to look out for you and help you cope safely.
Cue all the pampering that comes in. Cue all the projects he immerses you in to keep you busy, hands and mind preoccupied with his endless amount of enthusiasm and constant new interests because he knows from experience that working away on something has always made him feel good. Besides, it occupies his mind for weeks. He’s always thinking of you and ways to uplift you- it’s how he’s always been with you.
He knows he can hire the best of the best medical staff to assist in helping break this habit, but he mostly has that group of staff train him to help assist you, because he knows going to other people can be stressful and difficult and he hopes he can be someone you lean on during those vulnerable moments to carefully take care of you and your wounds.
Say the word, and he’ll buy you the world to help lessen the pain in your heart.
Tumblr media
Xeno: encourages medical help. He’s a scientist and an astronaut after all. He’s undergone medical training himself, and he knows quite a bit about psychology. He uses both in an attempt to try to help ease your mind and your pain.
The very first thing he’ll suggest is seeking medical assistance. He’s a man of science, of course, and science can help you recover. But going for help isn’t easy, especially if you don’t have the means to do it. So he always makes sure to remind you that his services are open any time you need them.
He’s treating your wounds the moment they appear, and encourages you to at least see him regarding the issue. He never gets upset if you don’t, because he knows these kind of things are sensitive and hard to deal with, but he’ll always do his best to remind you in subtle and non-invasive ways that he was a person you could trust, and that he wasn’t going to shame you or let anyone else shame you.
He’ll check up on you from time to time, but won’t press for any details or emotional chats. Like Senku, Xeno is a man mainly of action, and he has good observational skills. He also does his best to try and minimize the damage before it can grow into something dangerous.
His means of looking out for you are more traditional and upfront, but they aren't any less well-intentioned, only wanting to make sure you're safe and healthy.

Hiyaa i just stumbled onto your blog and i was wondering if i could request a Senku x female reader, (who is also Chrome's younger sister and herbalist of the village)
I was hoping i could request something like the last evening before Senku and the others are going on seatravel?
(i havent read the manga and dont k ow whats gonna happen, so i dont think of this as spoiling?)
And like, Senku and reader has been close, aware of their feelings but not official? And the night before their travel, Senku finds reader working till late in the night as she is working on a little sent off gift? Maybe the silly pirate hat from the trailer idk xD
And the Senku realizes he hasnt even asked/invited her to join their travel? Like he simply expected her to be there so he forgot to ask/invite her personally? So reader thought it wasnt necessary for her to come etc etc
This headcanon has been living in my mind ever since i read 'overworking s.o'
Also, im sorry if this request is too long or too detailed ^^'
Tumblr media
hiya anon! thank you so much for your request and patience!
warnings: implied minor manga spoilers!

Tumblr media
You probably weren’t needed on this trip.
You were a talented herbalist in your village, responsible for many of the medicine practices in Ishigami Village. Like your brother, you were known for being a good explorer and a collector of things. You stored herbs and other plants in Chrome’s storage house along with his other minerals.
You were not only Ruri’s friend but doctor for many years. When she was ill, you did everything you could to help cure her of her sickness. Like Chrome, you experimented with different plants and other natural resources in hopes that they could help your friend, even if it was in the slightest. You were the one who brought up the idea that regular spring water bathes could be beneficial to subsiding the effects of her condition.
When a strange boy your age named Senku came along your village, you instantly took a liking to him for his deep enthusiasm and knowledge. He revealed himself to be one of the many stone statues scattered across the land you grew up exploring, the result of a mysterious attack on society thousands of years prior. His extensive knowledge of the world, and most importantly of medicine, was astonishing. You wanted to learn everything you could from this man of the past.
And Senku shared a similar sentiment with you. He was fascinated by and drawn to your work, your collection and findings. Though they were basic knowledge for him, as a person who lacked the scientific resources he had growing up, your discoveries were impressive. Not only that, but he was impressed with your incredible talent and creativity.
You were definitely not one to be underestimated. There was good reason why you were the herbalist of your village. Even though Senku’s knowledge of medicine surpassed your own, he still heavily consulted with you and valued your input in his plans. From what you’ve learned as an explorer, a healer, and from creating the sulfa drug under Senku’s instruction, your skill and talent grew exceptionally.
Though you were recognized as an important member of the Kingdom of Science due to your skill, knowledge and creativity, you most likely weren’t needed on the Kingdom of Science’s journey across the globe. The more engineers the better, which is why your brother is an obvious choice in most people's minds. Though both you and Chrome were innovative and fast learners, Chrome excelled at both, and was even better at keeping up with Senku’s scientific conversations. Senku and even Francois would qualify as even better doctors for the trip- Senku was the one who directed the village on how to make the sulfa drug that cured Ruri. Even though you spent years helping take care of her, you could never find a cure.
As the next best thing, you were most likely needed in Japan to help the others with their ailments, and though you were saddened you had to leave your friends and family behind, you accepted your responsibility even before it was given to you. But that didn’t stop you from wanting to help out your brother and his team in the ways you knew how.
As Senku was making final preparations on the evening of the trip outside, he heard noise coming from the inside of the lab. Skeptical, he slowly emerged toward it, barely stepping inside when he was suddenly blinded by something pulled over his head. He stuttered and sputtered in surprise, at first thinking he had been restrained by a former member of the Tsukasa Empire. But then he heard a giggle from in front of him and felt that he had full control of his body. He quickly tore off whatever had been thrown onto his head, starting to tell the person off before cutting himself short.
“Hey, now, what’s the meaning of- '' when he looked down, he was surprised to see that he was holding a pirate hat that resembled Ryusui’s own. He heard the chuckle again, and looked up to see his offender. You stood in front of him with a cheeky smile on your face.
“Sorry I startled you,” you laughed, intertwining your hands behind your back and then gesturing toward the hat with your head. “For you. I asked Yuzuriha to make it so…don’t thank me. I thought it’d be fitting.”
Senku observed the hat for a brief couple of seconds before looking up at you again. “What are you doing in here?”
You stepped off to the side of the table behind you to reveal multiple different pouches, all in the different colors and sizes lined up on the edge of the table. Senku stared confused. “What’s all this?”
“Some resources for the trip. I figured it would be best to give them to you beforehand so as to not waste any time in the morning…” you stepped closer toward the table and gave a quick rundown of what each pouch contained, pointing to each one.
“Chamomile in this bag- I’m sure you know already but make sure to use them quickly. I prepared just this morning so you have some time, but the sooner the better. I have some herbs here for Francois to use in their cooking, too.”
Senku stared down each bag as you went along, completely caught off guard by your assortment. Why couldn’t you just bring all these things along with you in the morning? Why were you treating this as some sort of parting gift-?
Oh.
Senku connected the pieces halfway through your rundown. You assumed that Chrome would be the sole sibling on the Perseus as one of the team’s leaders, and that you would be left behind to help with medical affairs in Japan. It was almost like he had read your mind.
“So…that’s all of it. I hope it can be of some use to you.”
Senku continued to stare with his mouth slightly agape, but eventually he chuckled and was able to find the words.
“How about you hold onto all that until the morning? We’ll load it up with the rest of the luggage tomorrow.”
-
The following morning, all the villagers stood outside to see the Perseus goodbye and to hear who would be needed on the trip, if they were willing to take on the role.
The brawn, Kohaku, Taiju and Magma were obviously big ones. When your brother was called up along with Kaseki, you hugged him tight and told him to stay safe, watching him board the ship with a bittersweetness. You were disappointed that you couldn’t be more of an asset to him- you had never parted with your brother your entire lives. But you knew he was capable of himself, and you both could rely on one other to take care of your respective responsibilities.
A couple of others were called up and made their dramatic debuts onto the ship, and then-
“Our doctor, Y/N!”
You were completely taken aback to hear Ryusui call out your name, and you looked over at Senku for confirmation only to see him already staring at you with a smile.
“I’m a part of the crew?”
“You’re more familiar with the environment than anyone else. The engineers need to put all their attention into the technicalities of the ship, and we need someone in charge of overall quality of life. We can’t have anyone out of commission if we can help it.”
As you boarded the ship, you nudged Senku in the chest as he feigned obliviousness by innocently looking through his papers, and he laughed.
“You could’ve told me last night.”
“Saves me the exposition.”
Your brother greeted you with a cheer and a ruffle to your hair. You still could scarcely believe you were a part of the crew even after the ship had left the island and sailed so far that your home looked no bigger than an insect.
You found Senku leaning over the side of the ship, and you knew it was a not so subtle invitation to join him. You stood beside him and followed his gaze out toward the sea.
“You were stupid for ever doubting your importance to the Kingdom of Science. Even if you were to have stayed in Japan, your role would’ve been just as important.”
“Such sweet words.”
“I know. It’s weird for me too.”
Senku didn’t expect to find himself as disappointed in your mindset as he was when you expected you’d stay back in Japan. He couldn’t be upset- your reasoning was perfectly logical. Senku could qualify as a doctor, and with Francois’ talents, so could they. But to think that your train of thought would have stemmed from something deeper, from self-doubt and unhealthy comparison. You were always going to be a part of the crew, your experience was invaluable and every necessary precaution should be taken going into uncharted territory. But to think you ever doubted your importance-
You laughed and Senku turned his head to look at you. “We all have crucial roles, Y/N. Don’t doubt yourself.”
“I know. It was dumb.”
“It was.”
Your gaze remained on the waves against the ship, but Senku's eyes never left your features, the corners of his mouth twitching downward.
“You’re important no matter where you are. Don’t forget that.”

Hello, Merry Christmas! 🎄🎉 I love your work, you are great. 🔥✨️
I would like to request a Senku x fem!reader. I thought it was cute that they go to a museum (maybe a date? whatever) Discuss the artifacts, make fun of an ugly wax figure, mimic portraits, maybe Senku corrects a science myth or something. They are having a good time. She takes pictures sometimes.
Have a great day! 😁🪐
-M.
hello M! thank you for your request (and your patience…this ones from christmas…)! i got super excited reading this one, it’s so cute!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of Senku’s favorite places in the world were science museums.
He’d been visiting them since he was a kid with his father, something that became tradition over the years, with every visit further encouraging his love of and fascination with science. It was like stepping into a playground. His excitement and enthusiasm were boundless, and he always ended the visit with more questions and ideas mapped out in his head that inspired the following day’s experiments to follow up on them. The museums became a sort of sanctuary for him, as he was surrounded by nothing but the thing that he holds the most love for, getting lost in the dizzying amount of information and endless exhibitions.
He carried on the tradition with you, not being able to think of a more suitable way to show you his affection; taking you, one of his favorite people, to one of his favorite places in the world.
He’s taking you to his favorite museum today, one that he’s been to so many times that he knows everything it has to offer, from the events to the exhibitions. One of his favorite events is being hosted on top of everything else the museum has to offer, an annual tradition,, and so the time and date and location were all very purposeful.
He lets you be the one to drag him around. He doesn’t need a map, he knows the place like the back of his hand, but you still grab one to make sure no stone is left unturned, no corner unvisited.
You first drag him through hallways filled with ancient artifacts, from pottery to metal objects, encased behind glass panes and gleaming under bright white lights. The walls behind them convey lengthy paragraphs on each, with a picture or two to follow up or help visualize the setting from which the artifacts originated from. You and Senku leaned in close and whispered back and forth about each as you moved along the rows, bumping into each other’s side as you nudged at Senku to answer a question of yours, and him turning toward you to give you the clarification you sought. After your questions were all answered however, you managed to lose each other quite often as you browsed through the rooms and swerved through tall displays littered throughout, each of you getting caught up in your own curiosities, which led the two of you having to retrace your steps and dart your heads around to try to spot one another amidst the displays and crowds of people.
He usually leans in to give you additional information about the information on tablets, debunking common science myths. He tells you that Mount Everest technically isn’t the tallest mountain in the world and that the sun isn’t really yellow. They’re all pretty common misconceptions, which he’s quick to correct if the subject the two of you are reading about is related to it. He tells you that the tissue covering your veins makes your blood look blue, but it's always red, and that lightning can certainly strike a spot more than once, especially tall buildings.
The space exhibit is his favorite. You know because he tells you, but you don’t need Senku's extensive knowledge to come to that conclusion on your own with the way he’s so immersed in the videos, in the stars and planets floating around in the planetarium. It’s the one room where he’s mostly quiet, simply taking in the information, even if it’s already ingrained in his very DNA from how many times he’s seen the shows. He seemingly never tired of it, you observed with a smile as you watched him stare in awe at the projections, as if it was his first time sitting in that theater filled with constellations and planets, with that familiar narrator telling him facts he already knew. He’s a lot more eager to talk as you walk through the rest of the exhibit, telling you even more additional facts under his breath. But you still find he has moments of silence, possibly reflection, when he stares at space suits displayed behind glass and holograms of the astronauts who once donned them.
He attempts to fight back a teasing smile when the two of you find yourselves in a scientist exhibition, with wax figures of the greatest minds in history posing next to plaques with information or TV’s running related informational programs. He snickers at the particularly horrid ones, elbowing you gently and turning his chin up toward Albert Einstein and Madame Curie looking onward with serious expressions, which send the both of you into bouts of giggles, leaning into each other to try and contain your immature outbursts and commentary among yourselves. You start to draw attention from nearby visitors when Senku poses beside them, not being able to contain your laughter from how silly he looks.
Senku always loved the play spaces as a younger kid, but now he was older, and though he hadn’t outgrown his love for the activities, he unfortunately had outgrown the age limit set for who could participate in them. He recalls fondly the memories he made in those places when the two of you pass them by, telling you about the messes he made and how he got a bunch of kids hyped to help him. He’s still welcome at a couple of hands-on stations, however, and he’s just as enthusiastic as the younger children surrounding him, but he seems very knowledgeable in these little people’s eyes, and they watch him curiously as he tinkers meaningfully with the materials in front of him. He spots their gazes and smiles slightly, and performs the experiment with a dozen pairs of eyes on him from every angle. Oou’s and ahh’s and other impressed exclamations go around as you watch Senku help the kids perform the experiments themselves, patiently walking them through each step and answering all their questions as they eagerly crowd around him, mimicking his smile from further away.
Most of the time Senku isn’t posing for the camera, but you still manage to capture some nice photos with him in it. You step back to take a photo as he admires the sea creatures in the aquarium tunnel, a small smile on his face as his head is tilted upward and making direct eye contact with a turtle swimming above. You manage another one which he catches on to, with Senku looking over his shoulder mid explanation about something at the camera, as airplanes of different sizes decorated the background. He tells you to cut it out when he catches you, but he’s also a bit of a hypocrite, because when you ask him to hold your camera while you go explore something for yourself, he’s bringing it to his face and focusing the lenses on your awed expression.
He’s taken aback when you kiss his cheek suddenly as you file out of the museum into the night along with the remaining visitors, and he chuckles to himself when you tell him about the wonderful day you had and that you can’t wait for your next trip. Senku makes a mental note to research the events they have going on at his second favorite location for future reference.
Little would he know that over 3700 years later, his own exhibit would be open to the public, recollecting his life and achievements as the leading driving force behind humanity’s revival through his love of science that was fostered in similar museums.

stone day | featuring ishigami s.
Tumblr media
When Senku first expressed an interest in science to you, you got him an engineering set for his birthday.
It started with him telling you how he wanted to learn about space, about the moon and the stars and how it all came to be. He spent hours immersed in books and photographs, wanting to take away as much as he could from them. Soon enough, that interest expanded into something much greater. He wanted to learn all the science behind the creation of the universe and everything in it, wanted to learn everything there was to learn. Senku developed a deep love for creation. His ambition was never-ending. As soon as he was done showcasing one experiment, one invention or technological marvel, he was already getting started on the next. He loved challenges, and examined them with the calculating gaze and sharp, thoughtful mind of a scientist, slowly starting to use the term to refer to himself as he fell more and more in love with this passion of his.
And you already knew how Senku was- you had known him all your life. So you combined some of his favorite things into one; his love for all things science, space, tech, and a good story with a challenge, similar to the video games he played with you.
And that engineering set was his first piece of science, his first real science project.
Though Senku takes pride in his extensive amount of science knowledge, he was certainly no prodigy, and even he needed time and practice to learn everything he knows today. He believes that you were a huge part of his learning journey, always alongside him and encouraging his larger than life projects.
Senku’s real introduction to science started with this set, and even as a teenager with all the advanced science equipment he’s been able to get his hands on, he believes it's one of the best gifts he’s ever received.
You handed over your gift with a big enthusiastic smile and your chest puffed out in excitement, eager to have Senku open his gift. His eyes lit up as soon as he realized what you had gotten him. The kit came with all sorts of tech components, with circuit boards and wires, and even lights for the exterior.
The box set the scene: your spaceship has left you stranded on an alien planet. It’s your job to make the necessary repairs to fix it. Over the course of a month, you would complete different missions with the equipment provided and each day get closer to reaching your goal.
Senku stared starry-eyed, as he did with all of his science gadgets and experiments, at the thoughtful present and then beamed back at you. “My own engineering set! This is awesome, Y/N!”
And not only was he eager to get started on the project, but he was also eager to have you helping him.
Senku not only developed an early love for all things science related, but he also developed a love for sharing his passion. Science was exciting and brought him incredible joy. Of course he wanted to share that happiness and thrill with others, to make others recognize its incredible power.
And you would be the first person he would indulge in that thrill with.
You two eagerly spent the next month following through with the instructions to repair your spaceship. You learned about all sorts of new parts and terms, and with each mission you cleared, you only grew more enthusiastic.
Of course in the stone world, gifts like these were impossible to create, let alone obtain. At least you thought so. Of course Senku would later prove you wrong, but even with all the strides he’s made in bringing back civilization from a mysterious, almost supernatural attack on humanity, you still think he’s going to need a bit more time before he can start coding like the two of you used to.
When Senku first started reviving civilization alongside Ishigami Village, you made him a spaceship.
A model one, however, and you did need some help. Chrome lended you some of his minerals for decoration and Kaseki assisted in making glass for the windows, while the rest of the spaceship was impressively shaped clay painted with an assortment of different dyes.
You were nervous presenting it to Senku, the excitement you felt giving Senku the engineering set all those years ago absent now. You were presenting him the same thing, just without everything that made the gift exciting.
The gift was more so meant to be symbolic, to represent how the two of you once only started with building a spaceship, and soon enough grew to build whole rockets. It was supposed to be a motivator, something inspiring, as cheesy and pathetic as it was. You think Senku would catch on, maybe poke fun at you, but appreciate it nonetheless.
So nervous as you were presenting your gift, you held his confused gaze with a gentle smile as you extended your hand out on the evening of his birthday in the observatory.
“Is that…?”
“The spaceship we made all those years ago.”
And Senku then understood the weight of your gift, the meaning behind your small clay creation, just like you knew he would. The two of you are not that different, you and him. Creative and passionate people who yearn for knowledge and the opportunity to indulge in what the world has to offer. The loss of all that you love has hit you both hard, even though there hasn’t been any time to openly express that grievance. Sometimes it was difficult to motivate yourself, you found. You didn’t know if you could say the same for your eager scientist friend, but reserved as he may be when it came to his emotions, you knew he wasn’t immune to feelings of dread and discouragement.
A silent promise is what your silly gift was. That no matter the setbacks the two of you faced in this vast new world, you would navigate it together, work through them together, just like you did when you first gave Senku that engineering set for his birthday.
“How corny.”
“I knew you’d say that.”
You both laughed, but not with malicious intent, and not out of embarrassment. The two of you both understood what this gift meant, as the two of you understood each other. Teasing came as a part of something sappy such as gift-exchanging between the two of you. But as sappy as it was, Senku couldn’t help but feel his heart warm at the model ship, and almost uncomfortable by the wave of nostalgia that came over him as he understood. He’s lucky to have these memories to revel in, he thinks. He has yet another reason for working to revive civilization. Not only to bring back science, but to bring back memories such as those when you and he played video games till the dead of night, spending time in the science clubroom at school doing a project, and working on that engineering set you got him.
“Too bad there are no lights though.” You joked lightheartedly as you eyed your creation, still feeling a little insecure about your gift. But Senku simply turned it in his hand for a second or two before turning to look at you, breaking into a smile.
“Why don’t we change that?”

hear me out, that last dr stone angst but write a continuation where everybody learns that y/n was dead and senku’s reaction to discovering that it was his fault <3
"Amongst that crowd, Senku was one of those who stared at you in horror. "
hooooly this is finally finished! the long awaited epilogue to the hanahaki story! this was pretty difficult to write- i wanted to cover as much as i could without making it too lengthy while being realistic, which wasn't easy. im a bit iffy about some of the characterization, but nevertheless, i hope it was worth the wait! thank you for your patience!
warnings: detailed descriptions of death, blood, sickness, grief, intrusive thoughts, burning of a body (sorry its a lot but considering the theme...). if i should add any warnings, PLEASE let me know. some manga spoilers but nothing too major!

The concept of the Hanahaki disease was first introduced to Ishigami Village through the one hundred tales. It was mentioned briefly- a woman, in love with a man who didn’t love her back, had suffocated on yellow tulip petals that she couldn’t stop throwing up. There had been no record of anyone in the village ever experiencing such a sickness, and many assumed the story was a metaphor or a lesson like the other tales. Simply a fictional disease.
“What a silly way to die.” You had thought to yourself when you first heard of the illness as a young child. If only you knew you’d be in the same position as the woman in the story, suffocating on yellow tulip petals because the man you were in love with didn’t love you back.
In your final moments, you saw your life flash before your eyes, internally laughing at the cliché. You saw yourself with your best friends, Kohaku, Ruri, Chrome, Kinro and Ginro, little Suika and old man Kaseki. You saw yourself with the man you had fallen in love with, acquainting him, working with him, becoming friends.
Senku Ishigami. The brilliant scientist who Kohaku one day brought home and helped heal her sick older sister. A man of the future who told you all sorts of stories, created all sorts of things from his time and shaped your world into something magical. Senku Ishigami is quite a guy.
Which is why in the end, you didn’t regret loving him. Though you wish you could’ve lived long enough to start a new chapter with him after defeating Tsukasa, you passed on to the next world happy that you were able to indulge in everything he was.
You did feel guilty leaving your friends--your family--behind though. You didn’t want to, but you couldn’t find a cure to heal you of your sickness. Keeping your condition hidden (with the exception of your mentalist friend finding out) made it difficult to focus on finding a cure, covering for yourself and helping the Kingdom of Science in their war against the Tsukasa Empire. And so one day during your final stages of hanahaki, Gen Asagiri had found you dead in your tent, covered in yellow tulips and stained with blood, and rushed off crying for help.
Ukyo, with his super sharp hearing, was the first to hear Gen’s distant cries. He called for everyone’s attention and they all turned toward the sound of Gen’s panting and shouting. When he finally reached everyone, he stared at the citizens wide eyed. Though the war against the Tsukasa Empire had ended, the Kingdom of Science had a new mission: to establish cities all over the globe. To do that, they needed to make a ship and prepare for the journey. Senku and some others had returned only minutes ago from retrieving a ship captain- he could tell by the unfamiliar stranger standing next to them. Gen didn’t have time to think about it. “It’s Y/N.”
Something wasn’t right. Gen had a wild look in his eyes as if he’d seen a dead man, was visibly shaking, and Senku deduced he had just returned from visiting your tent as you weren’t present when the group left. Kohaku too could tell that something was off and made the same deduction Senku did. In her hard-headed nature, she rushed past Gen and toward your tent in a panic. Some people tried stopping her, but gave up quickly upon realizing their efforts were futile.
“Gonna need you to be a bit more specific, Gen.” Senku's tone was airy, but he was trying not to make his desperation to know what happened to you evident.
“Y/N…”
“C’mon mentalist, spit it out.”
“...is...dead.”
-
When Kohaku barged into your tent, she was appalled at the horrifying sight. She collapsed at your side, crying out at you and cradling you in her arms. Pools of blood, flowers, flowers drenched in blood, all of it surrounded your body. “Y/N? Y/N, say something. Please, Y/N, please say something.” She pleaded at your body as she pressed her forehead against yours, tears rapidly falling from her eyes and onto your blood stained face. You couldn’t hear any of it.
A crowd shortly formed at the entrance of your tent where gasps and mutters were exchanged. Some stared at the sight in shock and horror, some looked away in disgust and anguish.
Amongst that crowd, Senku was one of those who stared at you in horror.
Hanahaki wasn’t an unheard of disease in the modern world. Of course it existed, but little was known about proper treatment. In the age of advanced medicines, there were only two sure cures: one was surgery, the other was requited love.
Kohaku turned toward the crowd with a heavy flow of tears rolling down her face. She held you close to her chest in a protective manner, as if attempting to shield you from the damage you had inflicted onto yourself. “We’ve got to be able to do something! Senku! We have to help them!”
For the first time ever, Senku’s senses dulled for what seemed like an eternity. His mind couldn’t process the sight of his friend covered in their own blood, unconscious and completely unmoving. His mind rejected the fact that your body had been completely drained of life as his fingers brushed yours while checking your pulse. When did he force himself through the crowd and crouch down beside you?
“Senku! We have to act now!”
Everyone dies at some point, Senku knows and accepts this, but he’s never felt more distressed than he does right now looking at your lifeless, sickly frame. He’s had to cope with a lot of hardships in a short amount of time- the loss of his dad, his life, his departure from his two best friends, and though he could argue that the worst has come to shove, he felt physically sick as he continued to stare at you, head spinning, his chest blazing.
“Senku! Say something!”
“T-They’re beyond saving. Too much blood loss…” Snap out of it, Senku, he told himself firmly. Squeezing his eyes shut, he shook his head and let out a deep exhale, frustration and grief slowly overwhelming both his mind and body. “They lost too much blood overnight, and even if we were to find them sooner, blood transfusions can have their own complications. There’s-,” Senku swallows. What he said next pained him from the very depths of his soul. He’s the calm and collected type who works well even under extreme pressure and always keeps his wits, always finding solutions despite having terrible luck on his side, and so the crack in his voice betrays his attempt at remaining composed when he utters “there’s…not much we could have done.”
Senku slowly turned toward the crowd and fixed his gaze on Gen, who was staring at you with sheer terror in his face. He seemed to be two seconds away from a complete breakdown. “Gen, did you know?”
The mentalist’s eyes snapped toward the scientist’s, hard to detect emotion in his crimson ones. Gen gulped; he knew Senku was referring to the disease. “Yes. It was important to Y/N for their condition to be kept secret. I…connected the dots on my own.”
“Hang on, condition? What condition?” Chrome’s uneasy and slightly angry voice suddenly rang out as he pushed past the crowd toward the front to stand beside Gen. Kohaku’s teary eyed darted from you to her friends. She thought hard. Condition. Flowers. Death.
“Could it be…”
“Gen.” Senku yet again directed a question to the magician, cutting off Kohaku. “Why don’t you explain to all of us what happened to Y/N?”
-
It was important that the entirety of the Kingdom of Science was informed of your death and the events leading up to it. The crowd that had formed at your tent, mostly your friends and those from Ishigami Village, rounded up the elders, newcomers, and former members of the Tsukasa Empire to the middle of the base, where Gen began his explanation.
He explained what the Hanahaki disease was, the coughing of flowers and petals, the two known cures, and how either were unavailable to you. He recalled first noticing your symptoms, his confrontation on the eve of delivering the cellphone and your desperation to keep the disease a secret, afraid of burdening others during a critical period in the waging war between the Tsukasa Empire and the Kingdom of Science. He admitted to covering on behalf of you and even explained how he tried curing you with the sulfa-drug.
Senku had cut in to explain to the angry villagers why the so-called “panacea” didn’t work on you. “The sulfa-drug is meant to cure bacterial infections such as Ruri’s pneumonia. Hanahaki, however, doesn’t work like most sicknesses and normal means of treatment aren’t successful. Considering the nature of the disease, no ordinary medicine would be able to fully cure it.”
“Someone could’ve saved Y/N though, right?” Someone in the crowd called out. “Someone had to return their feelings!”
“...Yes.” Senku turned toward Gen, but kept his gaze fixed to the ground. “So Gen, who was Y/N’s sweetheart?”
Gen smiled as he regrettably told the scientist, “It was you, dear Senku.”
Senku’s convinced that this is the worst of his bad luck.
-
The Kingdom of Science’s first loss was a heavy burden on everyone, especially those from Ishigami Village who considered you family.
Kohaku’s face was grim the first couple of days with you gone. Being known as the strongest out of everyone in her village, she felt angry for being so powerless. Feelings of regret only fueled her anger and grief as she reflected on times when she would catch you coughing or sneaking off and not persist with questions or investigating. She dropped her guard and wasn’t able to help her loved one, and she felt disgusted with herself. Ruri did her best to comfort her younger sister, but even she felt a tremendous guilt. As someone who suffered with an illness her entire life and had an important role to play in the village, she regrets not being more concerned with your symptoms and shared Kohaku’s regret in not persisting enough with questions.
All Suika ever wanted was to be helpful, and she failed in assisting you with your sickness. The seemingly never ending energy she always had was drained for a long while. She looked up to you as an older sibling, perhaps even a parental figure, and now you were gone. You had always done so much for her, constantly making sure she was safe, teaching her things you learned from Senku and the other villagers, and comforting her when she felt scared or sad, yet Suika wasn’t able to repay you. You saved her so many times, but she couldn’t save you. Nobody let Suika go anywhere near your body, but she managed to catch a glimpse of you being carried out of your tent with a white cloth over you, and as the reality of it all settled in, she panicked so bad she passed out.
Kinro and Ginro had a duty to protect their village and everyone in it, yet they couldn’t protect you. Admittedly, they don’t understand much about science and medicine, but they trained hard and stood guard day and night so the villagers of Ishigami Village could go about themselves without having to fear any doom. Ginro, in his anxious nature, was horrified by your death, scared for his life and set into a panic. He was afraid that the hanahaki disease would claim his life next, and Senku had to explain that the disease isn’t contagious when Gen addressed everyone. While Ginro was making a fuss, Kinro hit him over his head with his spear and told him to can it. Kinro wished the disease was a physical foe he was able to defeat or at least had known about. He, like Kohaku, felt angry for being so powerless. He did his best to appear strong, though his teary eyes betrayed him.
Chrome had millions of thoughts and feelings rushing over him at once almost 24/7, all of them suffocating. You had been best friends ever since the two of you were young, and instead of figuring out you were ill, he had to witness you bathe in a pool of your own blood. He felt sick, hell, he even got sick multiple times, the sight and situation heavy on his mind and heart. Chrome was angry at you, but most especially angry at himself, and the questions he had for you were meters of mental parchment long. Why didn’t you feel like you could confide in him? How could he not notice the pain you were in? Couldn’t you trust him to help you? What troubled him the most was the recurring and realistic thought that, even if you did bring your situation to his awareness, he couldn’t have done anything about it.
Kaseki didn’t disguise his sadness and openly cried over your death, which only made those who tried to appear strong, like Kinro, more emotional. He spoke about how your life was taken so tragically and far too soon, sorrowful that an old man like him outlived a spunky young person such as yourself. He cursed out the disease and how something so beautiful such as flowers could be so deadly and lead to your demise.
Those who didn’t know you very well were still shocked that someone had passed. Ukyo, who had joined the Kingdom of Science under the condition that not a single life is lost, felt very conflicted about the circumstances of your death. He knew that nobody was responsible for your death, and it was the disease that had claimed your life, but he couldn’t help feeling a little resentful. He kept a close eye on Senku ever since Gen revealed that it was he who could’ve saved you.
Like Ukyo, Taiju and Yuzuriha couldn’t believe that someone had actually died. They too kept close eyes on Senku and did their best to give him the space they knew he needed to reflect. Neither of them knew you very well, but from the short time they did, you seemed like an amazing individual and could tell you were special to many, including their best friend, from the impact your death had on them all.
Gen was scared and felt largely responsible for your death. Intrusive thoughts and dreams about you plagued him day and night, your strained voice echoing in the back of his mind feeding into his guilt. You killed me, choked out your voice. I don’t wanna die, you cried out, and nothing Gen did could drown out your voice. He felt hopeless, weak and a coward. Before, he didn’t mind being all these things, but now with you gone, with the slight chance that he could’ve been able to save you, he regretted demonstrating these qualities in such a serious situation. He’d shrink into himself, hiding his face behind his face while thinking “why trust me, Y/N? Why me?”
-
“Why me, Y/N?” was a frequent thought Senku was plagued with. While everyone was taking time off their tasks to cope with your passing, Senku spent a lot of his time holed up in the lab back at Ishigami Village.
He was frustrated, like many others. He was conflicted on how to feel about your death and didn’t know how to react. You were a close friend of his that he cared very deeply about, a friend that he cared about in the same way he cared about Kohaku or Chrome. You didn’t do anything wrong, his friends have told him, and though he knows himself, he’s glad because admittedly, he finds himself needing the reminder.
To think that it was because he didn’t return your romantic feelings for him that led to your death was a heavy burden that he knows you did your best to avoid shouldering onto him. He knew how you were; selfless and courageous to the very end. It was one of the things that he liked so much about you, but in this instance, he wished you were a little bit selfish. Senku knew that you kept your illness a secret to avoid weighing down the others, and he regrettably admitted to himself that if you were to come forward with your disease, it may have slowed down productivity. Along with the burden of war would come the burden of sickness, and that was an obstacle that everyone had already celebrated in overcoming. For it to be revealed that there was a new sickness to be concerned about would’ve lowered morale significantly.
But it was your life on the line. You could’ve at least come to him. He’s a scientist, but most importantly, he’s Senku. He isn’t the type to walk away from trouble or to back down from a tricky problem. He sticks with something till the very end; until he’s found a loophole, concocted a seemingly impossible plan, or has gone through every single step of a painstaking project. He would’ve been by your side, he would’ve helped you.
He’s ten billion percent sure of it.
And he has to stabilize himself by putting his hand on the table as the thought of being too much for your friend to handle brought tears to his eyes. He constantly puts his trust in those around him, sometimes because he needs to, but mostly because he chooses to, and from the very first day he’s met you, he chose to trust you.
So why couldn’t you trust him?
He’s let you down. He’s done so much for others, and yet he’s let his friend down.
-
Eventually, everyone had to proceed with their travel plans. There was still a lot that had to be done before a crew could set off establishing cities around the world.
Ryusui had suggested that you were set out to sea as a symbolic gesture to represent where you grew up and where you were headed off to. A small boat was created for your body to lay in, along with your possessions and flowers. It felt ironic to some to send you off with the very same thing that killed you. When you drifted far enough, Ukyo drew a fire arrow and shot it onto your boat. The flames devoured everything on board, and many couldn’t bear to watch as your body became engulfed in the scorching fire. A gravestone was marked in Ishigami Village’s cemetery with your name, date of birth and death. Below, “beloved friend and family” was carved by Kaseki.
Many people visited your grave regularly while preparations were made, vowing to continue doing their best and to create the future you dreamt of being a part of. They paid their respects and said their goodbyes before departing for the long journey ahead of them, and once they returned, they sat around your grave and talked to it about all of their adventures and achievements, laughing and feeling comforted by the presence of your spirit.
-
Though Senku had said his goodbyes with the rest of the group, he returned to the cemetery in the early morning of the crew's departure. He kneeled and bowed his head, placing one hand on the stone with your name carved in front of him. Tears trickled down his face and onto the soil that you were raised on, on the same Earth that you trekked on and explored with Senku.
Senku thinks he’ll always be angry over your death. He’s lost a lot, and the grief will always be with him, but he swears to you as his grip on the stone tightens that he’ll bring the future you were so enamored with to fruition. He got up and headed for the docks with the promise of restoring humanity for the sake of you and all those who never were able to live to see it. He’ll keep you in his thoughts throughout every step.
And that proves true years later as Senku works on his newest science project with his unwavering determination and resolution that was fuelled by the idea of being able to see you again.

Tumblr media
hello there anon! thank you for your request, and don't worry about your english! i hope i was able to properly portray these issues in this oneshot- feedback is absolutely welcome.
synopsis: your outward self-assured attitude doesn't fool senku.
warnings: mentions of ED's, self-doubt, please let me know if i should add anything more specific.
wc: almost 2k
Tumblr media
Maybe you were dedicated to the “fake it till you make it” mindset.
Your schoolmates would describe you as the most put together person anyone will ever meet; level-headed and secure about everything, from your appearance to your grades. On the outside, everything about you exuded confidence; your outgoing and passionate personality, your bold appearance, even the way you carried yourself.
It’s not often that you complain, and because of this, others tend to forget that you’re human. They can’t think of any weaknesses or insecurities you may have, and aspire to have the confidence you do. You have an active social life, you’re smart, and you’re definitely not awful looking- what’s not to want?
What your classmates also seem to forget is that confidence is not a personality trait. If you were being honest, it’s not even something you felt all that often.
On the inside, you battled insecurities that plagued your thoughts and led you to develop unhealthy habits. The insecurities were related to one struggle in particular that you found difficult to overcome- issues related to your body image. To you and to Senku Ishigami, one of your closest friends, your insecurity made you put on a big show for both those around you and yourself, forced you to work even harder and constantly present yourself in a likable manner.
Senku could understand wanting to look approachable and presentable, but he himself has never been meticulous about his appearance, so he couldn’t truly understand in full the insecurity that stemmed from it. Senku was never one to crave validation either, especially through his looks. As a man of logic, he can’t understand why anyone would follow through with assumptions and judgements about a person based on their appearance; the only way to truly know someone and to grow fond of them is through actions, is it not? He’s even heard you voice those exact thoughts.
But regardless, he catches the subtleties in your manner. Typically turning down snack or food offers from your friends. Constantly making adjustments to your appearance throughout the day. Covering a certain feature on your face with a hand placement that's conveniently casual. All seemingly very small habits, but eventually growing to be more prominent due to their repetitiveness.
Senku has observed from the time the two of you spend alone together that you let on a little bit more than you do with others. Your comments seem pretty harmless on the surface, maybe even commendable, but he knew that through the false sweetness in your voice there was an unhealthy fixation. “Just for health purposes!” you would insist. “There’s nothing wrong, I just want to look nice!” He also later takes note of body strain that seems to be connected to your overcrowded schedule, reserving a lot of your time in the evening to go to the gym.
Senku’s eyebrows would furrow together and he’d let out an airy chuckle, tilting his head down to better observe your face, as if he were searching for something on it. “You always look nice.” he’d reply with a roll of his eyes. The same with “You’re ten billion percent healthy already.”
Senku already had a fair amount of scientific knowledge in medical areas even before he noticed your concerning habits, but he wanted to be thorough, and so he researched. He learned more about body dysmorphia, ED’s and a lot of weight and appearance related mental and physical health issues. As he delves deeper and deeper into his research, he notices through piles of resources that you share many of the habits described in articles and medical books. Senku wanted to encourage discussion about your insecurities because he could tell that your body image issues affected you more than they should, but he didn’t want to force anything and risk having you retreat more into your self-doubt and away from him. But one day while you were at his house, he found you staring a little too hard and too long at your reflection in his bedroom mirror.
He could see your brows creased together and your lips twitching, playing with different smiles as if trying them out before they dropped to a frown. You didn’t need to say anything in order for Senku to take a good guess at what you were thinking- your actions spoke volume. He sat down in a chair beside his desk, turned it around to face you, and suddenly told you to spit everything out. Everything you were thinking, everything you were feeling. It came out surprisingly kind despite the firmness, and you held his hard gaze for a couple of seconds while reflecting on his words. You looked scared, whether it was because he caught you off guard or because you were afraid to share your thoughts, Senku couldn’t tell, but he had a feeling it was a mix of both.
After a couple of moments of tense silence, you finally sighed, slouching as you sat down on the edge of Senku’s bed. “I look disgusting.”
Not once while you talked did Senku’s attention shift elsewhere. He didn’t speak a word, but simply listened, absorbing what you told him. He listened the entire time you tried sorting through your jumbled thoughts and feelings, and could tell this was something you had been waiting to let out for a long, long time. Eventually, when your throat grew hoarse and you were too exhausted to continue trying to explain your complicated and conflicting feelings, all Senku replied with was “feel better?” and you didn’t know what else you’d expect, but whether your answer is yes or no, he thinks both are completely valid.
You’re nervous after opening up to him- after all, covering this huge insecurity gave you your reputation in the first place and made you feel good about yourself, and having Senku see through your show of confidence had you worry how others perceived you. Maybe you didn’t cover up as well as you thought, and people viewed you the same way you viewed yourself. But this is Senku we’re talking about, and he’s hardly interested in contributing to gossip, especially about someone he’s close with. If anything, he wants to help how he can if you let him.
He’d do his very best to get your mind off your intrusive thoughts and direct you to resources that could help in more depth. He helps with any lifestyle changes you may want to make, but makes sure you do them for the right reasons, helping you reframe your negative thoughts. He’d tell you all sorts of cool body facts; about your internal organs, how your body could glow- things to get your mind off your appearance and more on how extraordinary the human body actually is and how much it does for you.
You find Senku’s efforts and thoughtfulness extremely heartwarming, two big reasons why you slowly became more encouraged to unlearn bad habits and a harsh mentality as time went on. Though there were many hardships along your healing journey, Senku could somehow always manage to pull you out from your rotten daydreams with a fun science fact.

A platonic Nanami Sai in the stone age with an autistic high school kid who looks up to him and follows him around !
A very long note : not only because Sai's programming skills is in a way too cool stage but also respecting Sai for being full of passion knowing what he likes + i belive that Sai won't be the type to make fun of anyones interests even if it was childish or not very common as well as understanding and be helpfull if they had sensory overload
sorry for talking alot ! If writing about autistics isn't something your comfortable with may i change the request ? Thank you ! :]
Tumblr media
hello anon! thank you for your request! i know that every autistic person has their own experiences and traits, which is why i wrote this in a headcanon format to try to make it applicable to all sorts of people, but i hope i was able to properly write this request with a couple of aspects - feedback is absolutely welcome. and my first sai request!
warnings: none!
Tumblr media
ever since sai joined the kingdom of science, you’ve been mostly at his side.
you admired his incredible programming skills and ability to code even in the stone world, and you’re always trying to take something away from him.
at first, sai is nervous having someone look up to him. he's a little stressed out about trying to set a good example, but as the two of you become more familiar with one another as you worked together, you two became good friends.
as an anxious person himself, he's able to understand a little about how it feels to be overwhelmed over specific things.
he does his best to help you with your sensory issues, either creating noise or finding ways to get rid of it. if your sensitivity is more severe, he does his best trying to imagine what would help calm him down, so whether it be a texture or sound, he tries to rid of whatever the trigger was and maybe even replace it with something more comforting.
finds any and all of your special interests interesting. he can absolutely relate to the intense feelings of loving something, and he totally understands wanting to indulge in what he loves with others. so rant!! indulge in front of him!! he’s encouraging every step of the way, seeing bits of himself in you.
not only that, but he JOINS IN. so sometimes the two of you will be frantically talking with one another in the middle of making plans.
these info-dumps are usually not uncommon though, and you can certainly indulge in ranting more about your knowledge and interests to not only sai, but the other scientists who also understand your enthusiasm.
it's especially the folk from the stone age who love to hear your rants, however. whether it be about programming or another interest of yours, they're engrossed by your explanations and storytellings and always encourage you with comments and questions.
sai encourages you to use your strengths such as your heightened senses or in depth knowledge about certain things that could be useful, so he might sometimes ask you to help him with certain tasks, or volunteer you to help contribute to some of the bigger issues that senku and ryusui are involved in. good attention to detail; you’re an incredible asset to the team.
free to not mask in front of sai, as he’s a person you deeply trust and are comfortable with.
also free to stim around him! if the stimming comes as a result of a stressful situation, sai does his best to relieve the tension by redirecting your attention to something related to his coding.
he also greatly enjoys your happy stims, especially when the two of you are talking about or working on coding. even with missions in general, your happy stims signify a job well done, and they're a sort of indicator for him to not be as stressed as he normally is and celebrate alongside you and the others in your victories.
makes sure to explain things directly in case you may not be able to always catch on to metaphors or social cues.
he's always incredibly flattered when you compliment him, and he always does his best to teach you about aspects of programming you're interested in.
the two of you practically came in a pair. a sweet and capable duo who learn a lot of from one another and do their best to look out for each other. it almost feels like as if he has another younger sibling.

Hi!! How are you ? Could you please write some relationship Ishigami Byakuya headcanons ? I haven't seen any yet and I'm sad about that (I'm just obsessed with him tbh) Have a great day
hi there! i've been doing okay and i hope you are as well! thank you for your request! i havent seen any byakuya content either so this was a surprising request! I hope i did him justice in these small hcs...
Tumblr media
byakuya loves music- i think he’s the type to play old songs around the house or hum an old tune when he's doing something. So when the two of you are staying in, he’ll sometimes dance around the apartment with you.
the most patient man ever. He's a teacher with an eccentric son, so his tolerance level is insane. If you’re struggling with understanding something in terms of work or just everyday life, byakuya has no problem explaining it to you or even learning alongside you!
(he's really funny when explaining things too. if its a broad subject, he has no problem teaching it, but usually his explanations are really "in a nutshell" comedic kind of explanations)
his gifts are always meaningful and tailored to you in some way. Sometimes they could be silly (cue when byakuya got two loveboxes because he thought it was a fun way of communicating over long distance) but mostly they were really thought out.
date night once a week. Usually it's on a friday evening that the two of you go out, and byakuya is the type of guy to never want a repeat of a previous date (there are exceptions! But typically byakuya likes to do something different with you every week). He might find different restaurants for the two of you to dine in, buy tickets for all kinds of shows. Just like his physical gifts, his dates are well thought out as well.
continuation of date night! He likes to hold your hand or have you on his arm, especially in crowded places. He says its so you dont accidentally lose each other and he isnt lying when he says that, but he does find it romantic and heartwarming as well.
can sometimes get nervous before a major date, and he’ll be frantically getting ready while ranting to senku. Tying his tie, combing his hair, searching for his keys, he does all this while senku listens to him run around.
”i just want this to be SPECIAL you know? I want to make sure Y/N enjoys- goddamn it where are my keys!”
on the other hand, he can be smooth. really smooth. He’ll hum a little tune as he adjusts his outfit in the mirror, putting on the final touches of his well-put together appearance
really loves it when you bond with senku. Makes him a little teary-eyed. Two of the people he loves most coming together and enjoying each others’ presence? His heart soars when his son tells him about how he enjoys your company and finds value in your science input.
rolls his eyes over his dad's relationship (especially with how sappy he can get) but senku truly is happy for byakuya for finding someone he loves so much
he likes to indulge in the things you love. No matter how silly or even boring your hobbies may be, he wants to learn about them and try them out for himself
little bit of a romantic, so he’s the type to bring you flowers and chocolates on more formal dates. He plans out each bouquet, and like everything else he does, the effort shows.
overall just a super fun and thoughtful partner. He always shows up for you and constantly raises the bar <3
