I just read through the screenshots from the fjorester discord and I’m honestly very uncomfortable with some of the things you said or agreed with. I really enjoy both your content and fjorester (especially your fjorester moments and fanfic!) but I just wanted to know if you stand by everything you said?

Okay, so there’s been a lot of discourse going around and I’d like to address it. 

First of all, this was my first reaction as posted on twitter: 

Second of all, I’d like to reiterate some things here: 

I deeply and honestly apologize to anyone who was hurt by this. I will not deny in any way that it was wrong and even though I deeply believe that nobody in the server had negative intentions, I realize that intent is pointless when the result is hurtful. 

I do not condone what happened. I’m a very flawed person, obviously, and while some of the problematic things flew over my head, others maybe I just didn’t know how to handle. 

While I think context is important, I cannot speak for other people nor will I make excuses for them. I can only speak for myself and hope that it is clear that I fucked up but meant no harm.

So about my involvement, here are some things I guess I can say regarding a couple of the screenshots:

The thing about the cheek kiss fanart, for example, I realize sounded shitty. It came from me being generally annoyed by a fandom trend (not CR exclusive) of supplanting female characters with male ones in canon interactions. It feels, from my POV, misogynist. I’d seen previously some WF art like this and was already annoyed, which is why seeing wf cheek kiss fanart the day after it happened in canon made me squint at it. In my wording in the server, I tried to convey that I know obviously it’s not an exclusive gesture for Fj but the previous context made me just wary of it. After I shared that, ppl on the server pointed out tht it was just a redraw from a much earlier piece from the artist so I was like “oh okay” and moved on.

The only other thing I can think of is the Molly art thing, where I said I was surprised by more female-presenting Molly fanart mostly because the way I remember Molly, despite being nb, he usually presented as male and went by he/him. I wasn’t trying to diss those takes on him, or say they were wrong. I was trying to express how it sometimes surprises me? I hoped that my wording would convey that (I’m neither nb nor as well versed in it to say much in the matter, so mostly I was curious about how other people perceived that). Nonetheless, I can totally see how that would be harmful to others and, for that, I truly apologize if my wording or my lack of knowledge were harmful.

The first thing, mostly, I think is where context is necessary because it didn’t just come out of nowhere. I wasn’t saying “its misogynist to draw a man kissing another man’s cheek”. My intent there was “this feels like part of a trend —that has been talked about before in the server— where ppl erase female characters”. There is where context matters because it’s not that I was annoyed by the art itself. Regardless, though, I can see that I was probably overreacting and that sharing that art wasn’t the right way to go about it.

It’s not an excuse, but I’m new to discord servers (this is my first one) and I had the wrong idea about how private it was or how harmful it could be to others if you’re not careful with what you share. I will try to learn and do better, though, because it mortifies me that anyone was hurt by this.

In the end, though, all I can say is that I am sorry, I am aware that I fucked up and I really hope to do better in the future. I never intended to put more negativity out into the world, but when you start ranting it can be so easy to be self-absorbed into your own anger and points of view and entirely cross the line. I hope I can grow and learn, and that I can still be a loving and creative part of this community. I love this ship —and many other ships, even if I don’t talk about them much or it took me a while to get into them— and I love this show, and this community and it is very important to me that it’s clear that, even if I fail sometimes, I love you all and I am terribly sorry for any harm I might have caused or allowed to happen. 

Most people in the server —it was around 100 ppl tops— are very nice people. When this was brought up in the server a couple days ago, before the whole twitter thing, most people were super apologetic and willing to grow and learn and do better. The server, btw, is closing down by choice of the creator and main mod, who has also posted an apology about how out of hand things got. So I hope everyone can see this as a growing opportunity and know that there’s still so much love to go around.

Since it’s October, I think it’s time for me to talk about vampires on my main blog again. To be fair, the subject will probably come up all year round, but during this month I feel it’s a good time for making several and longer posts. 

Tonight I’d like to make a short rant post about one thing that I really hate in visual forms of vampire fiction (comics,movies,tv etc.). If you absolutely have to kill your female vampires (I’d prefer you don’t kill them at all, but if for storytelling purposes it can’t be avoided), then please do not make it look like a rape metaphor.

I was a young vampire lover before Twilight and True Blood made vampires cool again, so to get my fix of vampire fiction, I had to take what was available. The selection was scarce and it didn’t always match my tastes perfectly. The first time I gave manga a try was Hellsing. I know I’m going to get rocks thrown at me for dissing this one here, since this series is super popular. But you need to understand that while I love blood, I really, really don’t like gore. At all. Hellsing manga was way too overtly violent for my taste and I hated the character of Alucard, who seemed to me like some nerd’s childish power fantasy OC. I kept reading because I liked Seras and found Integra rather hot (look, I like crossdressing women, shut up). But then I got to the scene where Alucard kills the female vampire known as Rip van Winkle, and I was like “Well, the manga artist apparently doesn’t feel the need to hide the fact that he got his career started by drawing hentai.” Just looking at the page made me feel sick to my stomach, much more so than any of the previous gory deaths in the series. And that is because the rape metaphor wasn’t hidden at all.

Now I know killing a vampire of either sex has a chance of looking like a rape metaphor, since the most classic way to defeat a vampire is by impaling them. But there are still some small details that make it worse and turn it from just taking down a dangerous monster to killing a human-shaped creature and taking pleasure in its suffering. I would never trust a vampire hunter who enjoys his work. They give me the impression of violent men who are delighted that there now exists a type of woman they can now slaughter without mercy and still be considered ethically on the side of good.

Sometimes the vampire killers won’t show that they like what they’re doing, but their actions can still look like a rape to the audience. What methods you use for the killing act and how you frame the killing scene matter a lot. One thing that comes off as rape-like is having the vampire pinned down, having her scream and zooming in on her horrified face. Even if the killers don’t show they are into what they do as overtly as Alucard from Hellsing, making a big show about the suffering of the vampire turns the scene into torture porn for the audience.

Like this photo, from Dracula Prince of Darkness. I saw this screenshot in a book about vampire movies and felt the same sickness and nausea come over me again. They are pinning her down, she screams and her face has an expression of horror. To me, when I saw this photo, it looked like a fucking gang rape. 

One more thing that makes vampire killings look like a rape is the trope of the killer stoicly looming over his victim as they are dying, looking at them. They don’t show excitement about the act of killing, remaining perfectly serious, but it reminds me of men choking women and looking down at them in disgust while they do it. It also brings to my memory the video one of our (fortunately very few) school shooters filmed before going to massacre everyone, where he put the camera on a low angle so that he looked down at it and pointed his gun at the viewer while telling what he was going to do, as if he was talking to a victim lying on the ground that he was going to shoot. I hate the trope of silently watching over your dying enemy so much. It disgusts me.

So, how to kill your female vampires and not make it look like a rape? I wish I had a good answer, but I don’t. The only advise I can give is either put them down swiftly and cleanly like dangerous wild beasts or let them die fighting honorably like a warrior. 

I suppose I should give some examples of killing scenes that I think are done in good taste. I prefer amateur vampire hunters to professional ones, normal people who are forced to defend themselves when suddenly a threat of vampires comes into their lives. 

One such example is the original Fright Night. Yes, I like this stupid, cheesy flick and refuse to be ashamed of it. I know the effects are laughable by today’s standards but they terrified me back when I saw this for the first time. The vampires in this film are male, so it’s a bit of a bad example to show how to not kill female vampires, but I wanted to mention Ed’s death scene, because it’s similar to the “watching silently while your enemy dies”-trope in theory but the tone is something completely different. It’s a perfect example of the fact that how you do a thing is more important than what you do. It’s the most memorable vampire death scene in any movie I’ve seen. In the form of a wolf Ed the vampire attacks Vincent the reluctant vampire hunter, but he miscalculates his leap and smashes into furniture, accidentally impaling himself with a broken table leg. His death is slow, as a wolf he whimpers in pain, and Vincent looks on, horrified at the sight of it. Then Ed begins to slowly turn back into human form, trying weakly to remove the shaft of wood, making pleading gestures towards Vincent. But Vincent knows he can’t do it, if he shows compassion and saves Ed, the vampire will not reward his kindness and will kill him. The emotions Vincent goes through during this make it a very intense scene. The more human-like Ed becomes, the harder it is for Vincent to resist the very humane instinct to answer a call for help. 

Vincent did not enjoy watching a vampire die, nor did he stoicly stare at it while it was dying, he felt sorry for it and horrified at the thought of killing a creature that used to be human. When Ed resumes his human form in death, we are reminded of that fact - vampires aren’t born monsters, they are humans who fell victim to the curse of vampirism and as such, their original humanity should never be forgotten.

Besides death at the hand of vampire hunters who aren’t natural killers, I mentioned that I do respect vampires falling in honorable battle. As an example of this, I could mention the female vampire generals in Dracula’s army in Netflix’s Castlevania. The main characters barge in and engage in a fight scene, where all the generals are defeated (I was a bit disappointed they ended up being just whip fodder, they had cool designs). These are professional vampire hunters, but they don’t stop to admire their work, lingering the death scenes and looming over their fallen enemies. They are efficient and swift, they make quick, clean kills and move on. I was happy that neither of the female vampires got impaled, and their deaths weren’t made into torture porn. However, I must voice my concern regarding this show’s future.

I worry about season three. Namely, I’m worried how they are going to handle Carmilla. She is either going to get killed or forced to be Dracula’s servant. Being a big bad, she won’t get a swift, clean death like the female vampire generals. I’m afraid they are going to draw out her death scene and have some male character (either Hector, Isaac or Dracula) loom over her while she dies and be like “This is what bitches get for betraying the fan favourite male characters.” Despite my dislike for gore, I’ve liked the show very much so far and would be so disappointed for them to stoop to rape metaphor killing scene, but I’ve seen the patterns, I know where they are leading us. They’ve painted Carmilla as oh-so-evil in hopes that fans will think she deserves what she gets when they eventually kill her. They will want fans to cheer on while she is being killed in the most brutal way possible. Or spared and forced to serve the resurrected Dracula (a thing I hated about her in the games). So, I look forward to the third season with mixed feelings.

I’m honestly glad my blog feels like a safe space for fellow Saiouma shippers. I definitely know the feeling of getting a lot of crap from other people just because they otp something else (don’t get me started on those people from amino who shipped before the game came out then attack you just because Kokichi ended up having feelings for someone else). You can come to me anytime to assure you what they’re saying is wrong and is just a result of their insecurities towards their ship. To be honest, no ship with Kokichi is unhealthy, because Kokichi is not who they think he is. I believe in the end anyone who hates Saiouma just misunderstood Kokichi or Shuichi’s character. There’s a reason why most youtubers who have played the game end up acknowledging the existence of the ship after all.

When I started falling for the ship I had no dr friends who liked it so I was just fangirling on my own, reading fanfics on my own, drawing fanart and never showing anyone XD (it was sad really but it was fun to draw for my otp and being so happy about it) one day I decided maybe I should just post all that art onto dr amino as some huge art dump, but then still got some controversial comments everytime I posted something and didn’t get that much recognition. I already didn’t like that amino cause I wasn’t a huge fan of the dr fandom itself, don’t know if I was even considered a part of it. But those incidents where my friend had to keep stepping in to protect me just made me hate it to death. (thanks for protecting me @souda-nouda ;;)

I still post my drawings here and there but not as much, it’s all art dumps. Plus I never talk there, because 1. already hated the fandom and 2. one time I joined a chat and after someone (it was obv what their otp was but I’m not gonna mention it, dun wanna generalize those shippers because I’m sure not everyone is like that) noticed my Saiouma pfp they sent a “meme” ridiculing Saiouma 😂  basically a screenshot of the “you’re alone and always will be” scene with the caption “Oh I love Saiouma so much best ship” or something like that. I ended up never talking that much, was scared of being there and it was worse with my anxiousness. I ended up ranting to myself yet again then just keeping that rant in my notes, and later referred to that rant in an answer to an ask asking about how I feel towards the opinion that Saiouma is just onesided. But honestly, the worst one is when friends diss it in front of me with no regards for my feelings about it. When it’s others I can ignore but when it’s friends you can say “I take the beating” and laugh it off even though they’re seriously hurting me. (I know it’s just a ship, but it’s my otp for god’s sake 😂) The reason why I started disliking some ships even though I shipped them in the past is that of people trying to tell me why Saiouma sucks and why their ship is better. It was worse too when it was irl 😂 One of my only friends irl that knows danganronpa dissed my otp really badly when I had no one else and I just laughed it off 😂😂😂 (again won’t mention their ship, but it def affected my opinion on that ship and them as a person. tbh have come to seriously not like that ship at all, cause most fans of it treated Saiouma shippers the same way)

Life was like that for a while, the only one I could rant to was myself or my friend in class who knew nothing about danganronpa “I’m dying these fics are killing me and I have no one to talk to about it save me, Person B has the hanahaki disease and ran away! at this rate he’s gonna die on the streets!” poor friend

You may laugh at me but I seriously feel safer on tumblr as a place to post these stupid drawings, I hate them, I want to get better constantly, but meeting fellow shippers and getting support for doing what I do just makes me so happy ;; and now I’m just so happy that I could you help you through something I’ve gone through as well. As you can see having been questioned multiple times as to why I ship them I ended up with tons of nights staying awake and just remembering each and every detail of why I loved the ship so much, why did I keep staying awake at night reading fanfictions of them? why did drawing them make me so happy even though I was going through such a rough time in my life? Why did I feel like I’m on cloud 9 just talking about them? Why did I want someone to talk to about it so badly? One day, I was left without internet, and away from home, I felt so horrible, but to make myself feel better I just whipped out my notes app again and just started typing the many reasons I shipped Saiouma.

It wasn’t supposed to be 100 tbh, and it almost ended up more than 100 (I didn’t mention all those cute moments between Shuichi and Kokichi before the fte starts, the “Shuichi you understand me I’m so happy I’m crying!”, the time they ran away from Kaito together, or the time Kokichi taught him stuff about lying. I don’t even think I mentioned the funny backhanded compliments in salmon team, like Kokichi wants to compliment Shuichi but doesn’t know how to so he does it in his own Kokichi way 😂 “no matter how many times I’m reborn I’m no match for the likes of you” and “You’re really amazing Shuichi” hhhhhh), it didn’t even take much time to write. but somehow (due to the unhealthy amounts of hours I spend thinking about Saiouma) I wrote all that, and somehow that post got a lot of notes proving to me that I was actually not alone. It made me so happy.

a quick introduction though i'm kinda uncomfortable, im 17 i run a few blogs on this hellsite and i have some concerns for people's safety. this isn't a petty post either, is genuinely fearful for myself and others she's abused in the past and will continue to do so and it's about time we all came out about this because it's gone on way too long and i blame myself more than anything for holding back. i just felt unsafe and i do more so now but it's worth other people's safety. and everybody knows i'm definitely not one to do something like this and i've had such a hard time coming out about this from guilt. i want to make this short and to the point. i don't wanna take up too much time because we could go off for hours about all of her drastic lies like how she supposedly got hypothermia in 45 degree weather or how she lied about being in a s.chool s.hooting ( one , two , three ) ironically she had sent me a fanfiction of the c.olumbine s.hooters in the past and guilt tripped me the moment i said it wasn't right. or the time she told me she was taken hostage which i might have stayed believing if it weren't for the fact she was roleplaying with a character from that movie on her @lleeta blog not too long ago ( one , two , three ) but anyway.

im never gonna be able to recover completely but i want to reach out and warn people. me and others have gone through her explicit / obsessive / rape roleplays but i can fucking guarantee no matter how many times i was ( or the others ) guilt tripped into saying YES despite how uncomfortable i was but couldn't tell her , she does still do them from what i know. she tends to warp characters ( other muns put in these scenarios have told me the same thing bc she did it to multiple people ) to make them far more obsessive / creepy then they are even meant to be. i'll start out by saying ive known rocco since the end of 2015 or so and we instantly became friends. we quickly made our ocs out to be affiliated, though they were SUPPOSED to be father and daughter (and often i would let her portray an oc i of mine who is supposed to be a love interest), she would always propose obsessive rape plots, and even an explicit plot of a forced marriage au between the father and daughter muses which was clear she wanted to lead to smut (warning for a graphic detail i can't get out of my fucking head was her saying she could imagine hannah / the daughter on her knees being forced to unbuckle his belt but said it as if it were almost ? something she got ? in a way , excited over ??) of course i don't have many screenshots of these things especially because i was isolated by her for about a year at the time , trusted her , and no matter how sick or anxious ive felt getting her messages i didn't really know i had the choice to come out about it , especially considering how hostile she would be when i had friends or even my ex .

( one , two , three , four , five ) we were actually dating at this time, which was a relationship i was basically forced / guilt tripped in after saying no countless times. she would often numb me down when i would say no to things, whether it was her asking to be in a relationship with me or even roleplay, in which at one point i've counted 20+ screenshots of her constantly begging even though i had just declined. at this time is when i was isolated so i don't the have exact proof because again, i didn't know about the abuse going on in front of my face and i didn't known what to do about it. she would constantly guilt trip me over these things and i felt very vulnerable though i do tend to play things off when i'm uncomfortable.

now i'll move on to some more recent -ish shit or at least things i haven't completely blocked out from my memory since that's most of what i have. we've been friends on and off because she had eventually set me off, our first fight being me angry that she couldn't handle when i declined her roleplays. so it's been a long cycle of me blocking her from discomfort, only for her to constantly make or log into old blogs to try and contact me to manipulate me into friendship again. and it worked. too many times. after all of that, she began to test boundaries which is something she usually does. this included throwing attitude for no reason ( i remember a time i was supposed to be making her icons and couldn't at the time and her response was "it's not that fucking hard" // she's even sent me a screenshot herself before of her in a groupchat where one of the participants had said something and told them "literally nobody cares" and expected me to comfort her after that ) + saying things she knows is wrong + stealing or making blatant rip offs of my original character ( one , two , of course there are far more instances like the time she ran @viirginblood but that's not the point of this post so i'm skipping over that ) + bringing up my past relationships / sometimes family or financial issues + constantly bringing up the fact we got in fights i was trying to move past or try to make me feel bad if i didn't reply right away ( one , two , three , four , five / she also acted very controlling to me any time i wouldn't answer so i would be forced to give an explaination and she would pretend it wasn't just her being "worried" ) + manipulating her into following her / bossing me into doing things she wanted ( one , two ). even some new information came to light that i was completely oblivious to; obviously any time i had a friend or a significant other she had no problem portraying blatant jealousy, i was also informed she was acting possessive of me even when i wasn't around, when i was actually NOT TALKING TO HER AT ALL ( one , two ) . which really freaked me the fuck out.

she would also constantly TRY to spite me when we weren't friends. she's admitted it. she's also admitted in a group call, that i still have contact with one of the participants, that she stalked me when we stopped talking and got her friends to "keep tabs on me" i was also informed of her stalking another minor not too long ago and going back to the spite stealing, it wasn't just one oc, it was concept ideas, urls, even going as far to LITERALLY flat out steal the oc i let her portray ( the one she obsessively wrote out rape roleplays with ) , lied by saying it was a "misunderstanding".

shes also is a rapist and pedophile apologist ! she roleplayed dolores of l.olita and a few people including myself can recall her literally posting / asking for a humbert to roleplay with. i don't know a lot about the film / book itself but i DO know humbert is the pedophile who abused dolores. here's some screenshots of her not only apologizing his actions burn theowing a pity party over it, claiming shen had a right to roleplay dolores getting, what i imagine must have been sexually abused ( one , two , three ).

her relationship with her ex, ( for those of you who don't know ollie you can probably easily find some information on him as a fill in on what he's done / warning for rape ) ,   she helped him catfish / fake his identity to hide what he did, shows hostility toward the rape victim and shows behavior of a rapist apologist again + talked some nasty transphobic shit about me , not to mention again , i'm underage so that's weird that it's focused on my body especially considering she's 18 here, not to mention she's not still obsessing over me when we aren't talking ( one , two ) + on her @roccospeaks blog she had a while back , she deleted the posts but i'm sure plenty of people saw that she and others were claiming that ollie was FAKING A TRANS IDENTITY ( and this isn't a kiss ass moment to him, i'm just pointing this out: this was after she made those transphobic remarks about me so i highly doubt she can blame her transphobia on being "drunk" here ) because he was wearing makeup and had a feminine appearance . i'm pretty sure the post is still floating about somewhere so if you can find it, it's all there . she continued to focus on me despite we weren't talking, blamed me for being the source of her suicidal tendencies that she's had since i've known her, ironically though she's also told me i'm the reason she says alive in the past — and something she thinks blocking her for comfort is a manipulation tactic or game to her ?? / that and here's some of her guilt tripping all because i soft blocked her ( one , two , three )

i had also recently ended a relationship with an ex of mine , which wasn't ANY of her business but she constantly brought her up plenty of times. as shown above, she's was insisting that my vague posts about ending my relationship were about her no matter what i said ( one , two , three ) + doing so either herself or i suspect getting ollie or his friends to send me anons about MY relationship because i didn't tell anybody else about it, but she sure as hell did ! all while putting blame on me ( one , two )

here are some messages i have of someone informing me she was actually racefaking ! and the funny thing about this is she's white. or at least from what i know? i know she has indeed sent me a link to a post before of a black mun venting about white people or smth like that which was NONE of my fucking business esp considering i wasn't following this person and she told me after sending me the link to the post "i thought i could trust them" where she tried tin get me to comfort her ?? this is also interesting, here she is talking about a minor, THREATENING THAT SAME MINOR, not to mention dissing sex workers and putting an input on reverse racism.

as i mentioned above she was always presenting nasty plots to me; i can't stress the fact that it DID make me uncomfortable whether i decided to play it off or not, but later on, when she was indeed of age, presented to me an old, incestous plot and then had the audacity to put the blame on ME, whenever i strictly recall her wanting to ship them / make the more brothers in the first place. my character had already had a brother, her oc she actually made back in 2016 was a spiral off of this canon character. so even afternoon she blamed me for it, we established that i said no, she still chose to focus on his childhood with romance. ( one , two , three , four )

again, im not the only person she's has abused like this. and compared to the things she put ALL OF US through, these have to be some of the lightest fucking examples. but i do hope it is enough to keep others safe or be a warning. i also haven't mentioned anybody for their safety, but if you think you would be willing to share your story you can add on or whatever to get it out their. i really hope you can take my word for or it as well, because it wasn't very hard for me to put myself out here but i think i did the right thing for others.

NOEASY TRACKLIST: MY FAVORITES (IN ORDER FROM MOST TO LEAST)

When the NOEASY album came out last month, I posted my initial list of favorites and said that is was subject to change. Well, it's changed pretty drastically, so here I am again to update that list based on how often I actually listen to it, whether or not I skip it or manage to listen to it when doing a task, how often each song gets stuck in my head, and how much I love my bias' part in the song. I know, a totally legit rating system.

1. SSICK: Initially, I had this at the bottom of my list. It didn't catch my attention nearly as well as most of the other songs. I felt it was a little boring until I started to hear it more often. This is the song that some part of it is stuck in my head for days. I'm not talking just a few hours. It could be "me so sick (sick, sick)" or "me so sick and legendary" or the outro, but some part of that song is constantly in my head. And let me tell you, the moment I found out that Felix freaking sings not in his lower register, ya girl put this song at the top. I'm obsessed. His voice sounds so full and round and just so good. I've been dying for more mid-register Felix and he delivered!

2. DOMINO: Surprise, surprise, a song with an incredible part of just Felix singing in his deep voice is at the top. I think this only moved down a rank from the last list I made. The song itself is a bop. I also jam to it hard and act goofy. It gets me hyped and I love that in music. I also just love saying "aye, domino," and letting Jisung go do his thing. It always makes me laugh. I often just get the repeated "domino, domino" part stuck in my head. Sometimes Felix's bit at the end hangs around, but it's my alarm sound (great way to wake up btw) and doesn't get stuck as often. The dance break before it is honestly my favorite part though. Especially now that we have the performances where Hyunjin leads the charge. Ah! It's so great! Oh, and Hyunjin's line where his voice starts high and stair steps down to his normal rap voice is another favorite part.

3. Thunderous: I really thought I was going to get sick of this one with how many performances they did and how it showed up everywhere (and got stuck in my head constantly), but I still love it. It always gets me moving even though I don't know any of the choreo except the ptui part. And the "I'm not sorry I'm dirty" parts from both Felix and Chan are just 💜. I seriously can't get over it.

4. CHEESE: "HA! CHEESE!" is already getting me and then "why'd you say it like that?"... the video at the part is just... my mind blanks. The fact the song is a freaking diss track is the greatest because I've been frustrated as a fan by the craziness and hate sent their way, but they straight up said, "you can't get to us," and I love that. Hate on them or their music, but they are still vibing. It's embarrassing how often I get I.N's 1, 2, 3 stuck in my head AND Felix naming cheeses. Like, someone says "cheese" and I immediately start singing some part in the song.

5. Sorry, I Love You: I can hardly sing a single word in this song not knowing any Korean, but it's so catchy. I try to sing what I hear, but I'm always listening in my car (for now as my ears are still healing from piercings and I don't use earbuds), so I get words wrong often. It's such a beautiful song and all of their voices sound so good. This doesn't get stuck in my head nearly as often as some of the songs ranked lower, but I can't get over this song. I don't even skip it when I'm not in the mood for slower songs and that says a lot.

6. Star Lost: This might have been higher or in the same place (these next few are pretty interchangeable), but it's gotten a lot of love from me. I like the sound, the upbeat feeling to it, and my goodness the cute thing Felix does with his voice at the end of his part (kinda toward the beginning of the song), I can't ignore how much I like this song. It's so adorable. Haha. This gets me driving a little too fast when I'm going places though because it's just another hype song for me. Feels kinda like spring for me. Not quite summer, but definitely a windows down warm day kind of vibe.

7. The View: This shouldn't be this low because I adore this song and I'm constantly singing it, but there are so many others I like a little bit more, so that's why it's here. I also feel like since I don't actually like the view of where I live, it's harder for me to really vibe with it. The music video is so cute, too. I've actually been obsessed with the neon sign that says "dreams come true to those who truly want them" or whatever it is because I think it's a great cover photo for social media, but no one screenshot the scene of just the sign (my internet sucks too much for it to be clear for me). Then Felix posted a photo of it on its own, so we're all good. By the way, did I mention Felix is my bias? 😂

8. Surfin': I rarely get this song stuck in my head only because the only part I ever really sing is, well, Felix's part in the chorus. The other parts I can pick out and sing don't stick in my head as well. I'm not a summer girl, but the vibe of this song is so cute along with the music video. The little lizard on Felix's outfit, the soft moment of Minho singing in front of that sunset sheet, Changbin being cute af... it's a great video (and song).

9. Mixtape: OH: This also should be higher because I love it so much, but alas, here it sits. I do consistently listen to it when I comes on. It's technically my first song with OT8. I wasn't a fan (didn't know of SKZ) when they released their other songs before this one. I mean, I was there for the stuff on Kingdom, but that wasn't OT8. And then this came out and I was so happy they were a complete group again. The story of this song hits so hard for (although different than what they were probably intending) and I totally cried watching it (it definitely wasn't a Felix moment that made me cry). I loved it so much that I bought the song as soon as it came out and did nail art to celebrate.

10. Red Lights: Okay, so this gets stuck in my head just as much as some of the songs at the top of this list BUT I'm so sick of the constant sexualizing of it that it's all the way down here. I get it, that was the vibe Chan and Hyunjin were going for and I respect that, but the way Stays are drooling and acting like, well, horn dogs is turning me off of the song. They did amazing with the lyrics and putting it to the track and the music video is visually striking, albeit more horror-esque to me than sexy. I don't skip it often if at all because the beat is catchy. But as soon as I remember how inappropriate some fans are being about it, I just can't listen. Mind you, we all think that way sometimes (I am no different when Felix does certain things or wears certain things or when another member does something that completely throws me off), but it's a bit much.

11. Silent Cry: I hate to say it because I do enjoy this song, but it's a bit forgettable for me. I skip it a lot because I have 10 other songs I'd rather listen to than this one. It's not at all a bad song and the lyrics are so sad. It just doesn't hit the same as other songs on the album. I honestly can't recall a single part in this song because the other songs are overpowering it. I do think it resonates with a ton of fans and it's much higher on their list, which is awesome, it just isn't the song for me.

12. Secret, Secret: This is another one, as beautiful as it is, that doesn't stick out to me. I'm also not in a slow song mood, so I skip almost every time it comes on. I can remember the intro the song though unlike "Silent Cry" where I can't think of any part of it. Maybe it should go higher because of that... It's just not the mood I'm looking for right now. But again, gorgeous song. I think more people should listen to it than "Red Lights" to be honest.

13. WOLFGANG: Ugh, I didn't want to put this down so low because I've been in love with it since Kingdom and even more so with OT8, but I think I got tired of it too fast because I listened to it so often and played the performance video a ton. It's fun to listen to and I don't skip it as often as the slower songs, but I have skipped it too much to put it much higher on this list. Sorry, y'all. I enjoy it, but I overplayed it. It's on me.

14. Gone Away: I hate that this song is so low because Jisung, Seungmin, and I.N's voices are amazing together in this. They wrote beautiful lyrics and the emotion in the music video is so heartbreaking to see... I just am not into slow songs right now. My friend would definitely disagree with me though. She loves it. Not a single song on this album is bad and it being the last on my list doesn't say that I think it's bad in any sense of the word, it just doesn't hit my vibe right now. But gosh is it beautiful.

Viidog Code Main Story - Episode 1 - 風变わりな探偵たち / The Detectives That Changed Like The Wind (Part 2)

Continuing from Part 1, let’s meet some more of the agency’s members~! Personally, I really like Class 5 who will appear in the below post ^^

As always, the summary of the story can be found below. Translation may not be 100% accurate due to my poor Japanese skills~

Chapter 7: 異人館街に渦卷く事件 / The Case Surrounding The Strange Street

Yanagi and the rest have already heard about “my” name from Leo earlier, so “I” won’t have to do a self introduction again. They heard that “I’ll” be joining Class 7, which is considered the “newbie” class for the newcomers to learn the skillsets of being a detective. Ryohei and Hijiri were very interested in “me”, leaning close to “me” and even patting “me” on the head, and they ended up getting scolded by Yanagi instead XD

Class 2 has just returned from their work today, which is a different case of the “cheater”. The case they are working on was about several people who has mysteriously disappeared from this city (異人館街), and Ryohei was hoping that perhaps the culprit that Kuki had caught today might be the overall culprit for that case too, making it such that they get to solve 2 cases at one time ^^

Just then, the last member of Class 2 has arrived and joined them. He’s Komano Chihiro, and he even went closer and touched “my” cheeks. This cause Ryohei to complain about him to Yanagi, since Yanagi did not scold Chihiro when he was even closer to “me” than how Ryohei was earlier. (Talk about unfair XD) Yanagi warned him to watch his actions and Chihiro defended himself that seeing that “my” cheeks look really soft, he can’t help but to touch them… (Welp, why does this guy sounds like a hentai suddenly? D:)

Class 2 began to talk more about the case that they’re working on, saying that yet another person had disappeared today at around 4PM today. And during that time, the culprit for the “cheater” case has all already been captured, and thus it was deduced that both cases are not related. They suspected that this disappearing case may have something to do with the city’s casino, and while Ryohei thinks that building is beautiful, Yu really disliked it, claiming that the safety of the city has decreased ever since it has been built, with crime rate arising.

As it was quite late, in the end they don’t really have time to bring “me” around for a tour so Yanagi felt bad about it. For Yu, it was still the first time that he met “me”, so he was still quite shy and said to get along well will be too hard for him the first time. In the end, everyone bids good night and head for bed.

Chapter 8: D.O.Gの美味しいご飯 / The Delicious Meal At D.O.G

The next morning, “I” met Tsubasa as “I” headed out into the living room, and he said he was just coming to wake “me” up actually. (Morning call? XD) He invited “me” to go along to the kitchen with him, saying that “everyone” is already there. (Who’s these… everyone? OwO)

Arriving at the kitchen, “I” was warmly welcomed by the chef for the breakfast this morning - Suzumori Takumi. He and another guy who’s sitting by the side waiting for food (Naoto) belong to Class 5. Suzu-kun said with a bitter smile that he hoped that “I’ll” get along well with Naoto…

And so “I" tried sitting next to him. but Naoto doesn’t even know “me” at all, till Suzu-kun has to remind him that “I’m” the newcomer who Shu talked about yesterday. Naoto said he doesn’t care as long as there’s Suzu-kun with him =w=“ (So in his eyes he only has Suzu-kun and no one else? O.o)

(It hurts when Tsubasa helped to introduce “me” to him, and Naoto said it’s annoying and wanted “me” not to introduce myself actually D: He really doesn’t want to know “me” at all TWT TWT)

But after a slight lecture from Suzu-kun, Naoto reluctantly made his self-introduction - his full name is Madarame Naoto, and he claimed Suzu-kun as his and wants “me” not to lay “my” hands on him. (OMG… so I was right, he does only wants Suzu-kun, and somehow “I’ve” become his rival?!)

Naoto also complained alot, asking why on earth Tsubasa gets his breakfast earlier than him, and expressed unhappiness when Suzu-kun wanted us to sit with them. (He only wants to eat with Suzu-kun only ^^;)

Suzu-kun in the end has to ask whether he could join us instead, since Naoto was being stubborn and said Suzu-kun could go and join them and leave him sitting here instead… ^^;

(Not really sure what happened after that since I didn’t took screenshots of that scenario - Did Naoto really eat alone? XD or perhaps he did join others instead?~)

Shiro and Kuki soon joined afterwards, and after hearing that Class 2 has came to find “me” yesterday night, Kuki got worried and asked whether did Hijiri did anything to me XD (Is Hijiri a scary person? OAO”)

Kuki was also interested about the progress of analyzing the fake license that they’ve taken from the cheater yesterday, since Class 5 specialized in dissecting and analyzing objects and evidence. (Think of the jobscope of forensics in crime investigations) Naoto frowned and replied that Kuki has just passed it to him recently, and it won’t be done that quickly. (Kuki seems very impatient XD) Kuki helpfully explained what Class 5′s jobscope is to “me”, and that Naoto was actually the class leader of that team.

There’s still one more member in Class 5 - Hinamori Kiyoto, but he’s currently still busy at work in the analyze room.

Tsubasa noticed that Shiro is avoiding and leaving the green peas untouched in his meal, and asked him whether is it because he dislikes them. (But Shiro denied, he didn’t want to admit he has food that he dislikes I guess?) Kuki took this chance to make a prank on him, saying that since Shiro doesn’t dislike them, he must have like them too much to leave them till the last to enjoy them.

On hearing Kuki’s comments, Tsubasa gave his share of green peas to Shiro, and even Suzu-kun said he shall cook green peas rice for Shiro today since he managed to know his new favourites. (But I bet this will be Shiro’s green peas hell instead ^^;)

Naoto already want to leave this table by this time and go to another table since they are all too noisy for him ^^;

Chapter 9: 変裝は乙女のたしなみ? / Disguise Is A Girl’s Favourite?

After breakfast, Class 7 were just about to start with their daily work when Shu approached them with a grim look on his face, saying that there’s another disappearance which happened yesterday. Kuki asked that perhaps the person mght have left his/her home for other reasons?

From Senri’s report, the missing person was a 46 year old man, and his family had said that after he said he’ll be returning home after work, there’s no news of him anymore and he didn’t return home either. Knowing that the casino is a suspicious spot, Kuki got fired up and decided that Class 7 shall head to the casino today!

However this decision doesn’t sit well with Senri, as he claimed that doing such action will cause trouble for Shu (and since Senri is always on Shu’s side, he’ll prevent it at all cause XD) Kuki found Senri’s expression really scary and quickly changed his words to assure him that they’re going there to be undercover and get some information.

Senri still felt unsure and asked that they are not going to use this chance to play over there right? But Kuki sneakily smiled and replied OF COURSE they’re going there to play, and of course do their job as well XD

After much discussion, it was finally decided and approved by Shu and the rest of Class 1. Seeing that “I’ve” not been to a casino before, Kuki said it’ll be a good chance for “me” to learn more about the society and to try out the casino for the first time +W+

But of course since we’re not just going there to play, Kuki got serious and started to give out the roles and tasks that each one of us in Class 7 has to do. Since Kuki being the main caretaker and has to look after “me”, he’ll be observing and filming the casino overall, whereas Shiro and Tsubasa will talk to the staff and guests who are there to get more information about the place.

Since Tsubasa is always friendly and smiling, Kuki thought that it’s best for him to approach female guests. (Perhaps he’ll be liked by all these big sisters there XD) Shiro will target the dealer instead, by pretending to lose and asking for tips to chat with them. And since from the outside, no one will think Tsubasa and Shiro will know or have a good relationship with each other, so the possibility of them being suspected will be lower.

Even though Shiro said he won’t pretend to lose, Kuki dissed him by saying that even if he wants to win, he won’t. (That’s so mean, Kuki~)

Shiro also said he doesn’t want to work with Tsubasa to ask for information though, that in the end Kuki had no choice but to demand it as a “leader order”. Shiro could also choose to switch with Kuki himself to film the area with “me”, but Shiro doesn’t like me very much that in the end he remained with the role he was given.  (Poor Shiro, as much as he dislikes it, he still has to go along with all of them. I just hope they all get along well though D:)

Hearing about us going undercover into the casino, a girl(?) appeared and offered to dress us up in disguise. She introduced herself as Hanamaki Rammaru and wanted to get along well with me since we’re both girls.

Since Ran likes cute stuff alot, she thinks she’ll like “me” alot too. (Because “I’m” cute too? XD) Tsubasa said that dressing in disguise might make them too “stand out” instead, and that they are just going in the outfits that they’re wearing now.

Kuki pointed out that Ran just wants to help “me” change actually, and upon hearing that Tsubasa got defensive and yelled “it’s not allowed!” (I wonder why though? OWO)

In the end, Tsubasa pulled “me” to go along with him, saying that he’ll teach “me” on what to look out for when filming and what to look out for in case “I” get in danger.

Chapter 10: 潛入調查 / Undercover Investigation

We reached the casino, with the guys all dressed up in suits +W+ Kuki asked the guys not to get nervous as he scanned the room for suitable targets for them to get information from.

Kuki made some observations of a lady at the bar counter, saying that she must have a pet as he noticed there’s cat fur on her stockings. Whereas the man next to her doesn’t have any pet as he has a very strong perfume that animals find it hard to get close to him. He also noticed that the man is a divorcee, the finger on his right hand has an indentation of wearing a ring too long, but now there’s no ring on it anymore. Kuki also noticed a dealer who seems to find Shiro her type, that even if Shiro doesn’t do anything, the other person will get close and say alot of stuff to him. (I’m amazed… how did he get to know all these by observing OAO”)

(While the two guys went off to do their “information baiting”, Kuki talked about the good points of them. I especially remembered that Tsubasa has the aura to make others around him happy, and since his looks are quite good - meaning he’s good-looking +W+, the lady at the bar counter will like him alot. And Tsubasa always praised people honestly, the man will feel good when he talks to Tsubasa too~)

In the end, Kuki just wanted to play in the casino, asking “me” what “I" wanted to try first. But since “I” didn’t played before in the casino and doesn’t know the rules, Kuki recommended trying out the slot machine first.

(Hehe, “I” prasied Kuki and he ended up being shy about it, saying that it makes him feel shy XD)

Tsubasa soon returned, saying that what Kiki had observed and guessed earlier on was correct. The lady did have a pet - a chinchilla, and the guy was a secretary. But he didn’t get much useful information from them, only knowing that the casino was built suddenly. Tsubasa also noticed some guests entered the room but quickly disappeared.

Shiro came back just then and mentioned that those guests must be VIP guests, saying that all the rich guests came and entered a different room and probably betting a totally different amount of money. (Probably alot more than the amount here I guess OWO”)

Kuki noticed that Shiro seems to be really popular with the dealer, that he even got a lipstick mark on his shirt XD That made Shiro embarrassed and Kuki sneakily even said that they should take a photo to remember this occasion XD

In the end, “I” ended up helping the three of them take a photo in the middle of casino, with both Kuki and Tsubasa trapping poor Shiro in the middle to wrap up our casino trip ^^

Chapter 11: 闇に消えた影 / The Shadow That Vanished In The Dark

After a day at the casino, the trio suspected that the casino may be operated by a dark business group behind it, but they have no information or evidence pointing to it. Kuki encouraged them that this is only their first time, and if they go around “sniffing” for clues too much they might get suspicious since they are just newcomers. However, the VIP guest is something they find interesting and planned to search for more information regarding it.

Shiro warned “me”, hoping that “I’ve” took proper photos even though my hands are shaking, to which Kuki said Shiro is quickly becoming a Senpai to bully me XD

Just then someone bumped into “me”, and while “I” wasn’t hurt when Tsubasa was worrying asking “me”, “my” bag was stolen instead, therefore Tsubasa and Shiro quickly ran after the man to retrieve back my bag.

Kuki stayed with “me”, and seeing that “I’ve” tore my tights, with a cut on “my” leg, he offered to carry “me” if I can’t walk. “I” showed him a worried face and though he’s angry about “my” reaction, he assured “me” that he is definitely strong enough to carry “me” on the piggyback XD (I guess Kuki really doesn’t like being treated as a kid XD)

On the other side, Shiro and Tsubasa managed to catch up to the robber, and asked him to return “my” bag before anyone gets hurt. The robber in the end threw “my” bag aside and rushed off. Tsubasa went and retrieved “my” bag but ultimately they lost sight of the robber and couldn’t find him by scent anymore since it got mixed up with the scent of the ocean at the docks.

Tsubasa initially felt sorry, saying that if he had not went and retrieve the bag, they might not have lost sight of the robber, but Shiro consoled him (sort of XD) by saying it’s not his fault, and that made Tsubasa so grateful that he hugged Shiro. Shiro struggled and asked him to get off him though XD

Kuki and “I” finally caught up to them, and seeing them hugging together, Kuki can’t help but to comment that they really get along “well”~ Tsubasa returned the bag to “me”, asking “me” to check if there’s anything missing from it. Kuki asked them if they’ve seen what does the robber look like, but Shiro shooked his head that they can’t see his face since the robber had worn a hood that covered over half of his face, though from Tsubasa’s observations, the robber seems tiny, but is still larger than Kuki. (Obviously that didn’t make Kuki pleased to hear that… ^^;) The robber also seems to have ear popping out from his hood, and the ears seems to be more like wolf ears instead.

They deduced that since the security around the casino area are quite bad, the robber might thought that there’s money in the bag which is why he went and stole it. “I” thanked them for helping to chase after the robber and get back my bag, and while Tsubasa accepted them happily, Shiro was being all tsundere, saying that “he didn’t do it for me definitely” XD

Chapter 12: 賑やかな食卓 / The Lively Dinner

Coming back to the detective agency, Kuki brought us to the cafe (Cyan) downstairs, where interestingly it doesn’t have a menu. This is a cafe that the master will make any food that you order, which is its specialty. While we are eating, a new team which “I’ve” never seen before arrived and came to talk to us.

The first few guys ended up blocking the way into the cafe as they were interested in “me”, and that made the rest of the members abit impatient as they were all hungry for food. One of the member though, got shocked that “I” was there and realising that “I’m” a female, and wanted to back track out of the shop, and almost bumped into the last member coming through the door.

Kuki commented that whenever this team arrived, he found that there seems to be alot of members, seeing how Sosuke (the blonde hair guy) alone seems to have the same feeling of 3 guys around. (To which Sosuke thinks that Kuki must have thought he is very noisy… ^^;)

In the end, Kuki asked Tsubasa to connect the tables together so that we can all sit and have dinner together. The black hair guy (Kotetsu)wasn’t pleased that he has to sit opposite of “me”… (Why do you seem to dislike me so much, Kotetsu? TWT TWT)

When everyone gets seated, Kuki introduced “me” to them, saying that they’re from Class 3, and they usually handle cases that are more dangerous like chasing after the culprits and capturing them. The leader of this team is Sera Rudolf, the tall tanned guy.

He commented that “I” seems to be smaller than what he had heard about. (But I bet that’s just because you are too tall, Rudo =w=“) But then again he thinks that being small isn’t that bad even though there are things that “I” definitely need to get use to…

Class 3 usually separated into pairs when they are on a mission, with Rudo being the leader on his own. The pairs are split as follows: Kotetsu and Kaname, Sosuke and Kotaro.

The next member quickly stood up and gave his self introduction. This blonde hair guy is Suwa Sosuke. He welcomes “me” with open hands, saying that if “I” have any trouble, feel free to call for him for help ^^

The purple hair guy here though is Sosuke’s partner, Kai Kotaro.

Next is the youngest on the team - Takatsukasa Kaname. He also said that “I” could always approach him for help if “I” have anything I don’t know.

And lastly is the unfriendly guy - Aki Kotestu, and he asked “me” to not get close to him TWT TWT (Even Rudo said the way he talked isn’t good… D:)

After we started eating though, “my” hand accidentally touched his while reaching for the sauce together, and he scolded at “me” not to touch him… (What…? “I” wasn’t even doing that on purpose?! D: That really stings Kotetsu TWT TWT)

In the end, Rudo had to be the one apologising to “me”, asking “me” not to mind too much about Kotetsu’s actions, and explained that Kotetsu has a phobia to women. “I” apologised to Kotetsu instead (since I’ve unknowingly touched him when he’s weak to “me”), but Kotetsu felt embarrassed that “I’m” apologising to him, and still didn’t want “me” to be near him…

(*Sigh… * As much as I understand that he has a phobia, some of his reactions does stings and hurts while I’m reading, he really over-reacted abit too much =w=“)

And that wraps up Episode 1! How was it? Initially when I started reading it, I was blown away by too many characers appearing suddenly ^^; Until now there’s 20 characters that has appeared just in this episode, which left us with another 5 more that exist in this agency. Hopefully we’ll get to meet them in the later episodes ^^

PS: I’ve set myself a target to translate an episode every month, but since I’ve planned to start translating in March but was a month late, I may want to translate the next episode this month too, provided if I could dedicate enough time for this (since I have other posts / translations to work on in the meantime). So for now it’s still a maybe~
