Dearest readers,

Firstly let me say, Happy New Year, and congrats on making it through 2021. It was not an easy year, but I want to thank you all for being part of what made mine bearable. Part of what made me smile, made me feel loved and supported, gave me something to cling to.

Secondly I should say, well... I have more coming for you in 2022, I'm starting on it right now in fact, and I'd like to wrap up my 2021 in a nice list for you all, pop a bow on it, and leave it with you. I'm looking to the future for a while.

This is the original long fic I wrote that spans countries and even a few years of Zemo’s life. It veers from the course of the show but follows some of the plot very loosely and then not at all. I wrote it while the show was still on and I was completely and utterly floored by this man who came sauntering into our lives and I fell for him. Hard. It’s 100% action romance with all the smut you’ve come to know me for, with lots of fluff in the middle because who can resist domestic Zemo fluff. Funny it was before I was brave enough to give in to my winterbaron obsession but I still stand by this story as it was fun to lose myself in a world with an oc and everyone’s favorite Baron on the run but it’s far too long to put on tumblr so please enjoy on AO3 or Wattpad

Kind of a stupid idea, but its been on my mind all day. So just hear me out for a sec please:

A Winterbaron fake/pretend husband AU that revolves around the movie Overboard (could be the og, but probably more the remake idk) starring

- Bucky as an overworked dude balancing multiple jobs in Delacroix who also lives next to the Wilson family

- Zemo as the stupid-rich Sokovian with a yacht/amnesiac who thinks he's Bucky's husband

- Sam as a super awesome bro who reluctantly assists with Bucky's shenanigans

Also there could be lots domestic fluff and some bonding between Sarah, AJ, Cass, and "uncle" Zemo

And anything anyone else can think of, but yeah.

James has clearly rifled through his belongings, inspecting the scattered notes and printouts in the small office, even turning the pages of the book Zemo left open on the arm of his chair by the fireplace. Losing his place. For some reason, it makes Zemo smile. The predictable pettiness of it. His guest is seated by the dining room table in the other room, uncomfortable and awkward. Poor thing.

The kitchen and dining area are one large room, catching the sunshine of the late afternoon through windows covered in charmingly lacy curtains. James is so still that the only thing moving are the dust motes in the beams of light. Zemo shuffles to the cupboards, enjoying the refreshing coolness of the tiles on his bare feet as he pulls out supplies to make tea. Chamomile and lavender, he decides. James might appreciate the calming effects. Personally, Zemo finds it a tad unpleasant, but that is what honey and lemon are for.

Oh, hello, person I definetly don't know! 👀👀 I hope you're having an amazing day! 💛💛 It is always amazing to think about domestic fluff and these two, eh? :') - I feel like their day - at least Zemo's day - would start early, with the pair all cuddled up in a big bed. Since he started having company in bed, Bucky felt a little safe and did not slept on the floor anymore. Also, whenever nightmares got him, Zemo was there to give him a big hug and help him get his heartbeat back on the tracks and calm him down, making sure he knew that he was safe. - After a few (or many) lazy minutes, Zemo would get up, take a shower and start his ritual of making tea for himself and coffee for Bucky. Even though he knows that too much caffeine is not a good thing for his lover, he knows that the man just can't start his day without it and, if he's right, soon Bucky will be on his feet. He also puts some treats for Alpine on her bowl. - Of course he is right. Zemo is still sipping over his tea, going through the news on his phone, when Bucky meets him in the kitchen, all bed hair and soft kisses on the top of his head. They have their breakfast together calmly - after all, the only thing on their schedule is a visit to the animal shelter for Bucky and Zemo's visit to the therapist, so, they can take their time. - Most days are calm like this. Of course that nightmares for both of them or full schedules can mess this but since they moved in together, they really put some effort into having breafast and dinner together every single day. - After his visit, Bucky picks Zemo at the therapist and they do groceries together - which is always an adventure, since Bucky has a few things that he can't live without or certain brands that reminds him of childhood and Zemo always wants to explore new cuisines. Sometimes they order food but that certainly is left for friday nights or specially busy days when both of them are not interested in making food. - Usually, Zemo is the one who takes control of the kitchen but Bucky loves to watch and help his lover as much as he can. - At the end of the day, after long baths and cuddles on the couch watching some movie that Bucky probably missed from the last 90 years, they go back to bed and sleep peacefully in each other's arms. I hope you like it! 💛
