Helluva Boss x Insomniac! Reader. Headcanons

With: Asmodeus, Fizzarolli, Stolas and Loona

Asmodeus

Asmodeus runs a nightclub type establishment. (Or atleast i think thats what Ozzies is). So he's used to being up late.

He does take note of you, always seeming to be awake, no matter the time.

Doesn't really do much, because as long as nothing really seems to be wrong he won't want to bother you about it.

Is kinda sad he doesn't get to sleep with you as much tho (In the cuddly kind not the sexual kind).

One day decides to ask you about it, mainly from curiosity.

When you tell him that you're an insomniac he kinda gets surprised.

But after thinking about it he does kinda think he should have realized earlier.

Will try to stay up with you on the nights where he doesn't have to do much the next day (Which is rarely).

Fizzarolli

Fizz has alot of energy some times, and on thoose days he does have difficulty sleeping.

Usually just rubs one out or has some ''fun time'' with you, or just alone.

He does however notice that on the same nights he can't sleep, neither can you.

When you do tell him that you're an insomniac (if he didn't already put 2 and 2 together). He'll likely ask something along the lines of, ''So whats keepin' ya up babes?''

Will cuddle with you if you'd prefer to do that in order to try and fall asleep.

Might suggest some medication for falling asleep. Or try and get drunk as hell with you.

Sometimes will wrap his arms around you if he feels like you've been getting too little sleep.

Loona

She has a habit of falling asleep at I.M.P when having nothing else to do, or sometimes when she just feels like it.

Is probably the quickest to notice your lack of sleeping.

She will likely ask you about it because its keeping her up at night.

When you tell her about you either really struggeling with getting sleep or just not being able to sleep at all, she gets uhhhh, a bit confused.

Like how can you NOT fall asleep at that boring office, or in a comfortable bed?

Will rarely pick you up so she can lay with you while she sleeps, and hopefully have you fall asleep as well.

She once tried to play some music and stuff to try and see if that helped.

She to awoke to some shitty song and her phone reccomending more of said shitty songs.

Just kinda accepts that you don't fall asleep nowadays.

Not like its gonna prevent her from sleeping either.

Stolas

Stolas has a giant comfy bed, so why he finds you awake at 3 am in the kitchen just doing whatever, is something thats on his mind.

Will ask you about it being concerned that you might be having nightmares or something keeping you awake.

If you do tell him about your insomnia, he will be a bit relieved that you aren't awakening from nightmares.

Allthough he might be wondering if something is keeping you up unless you clarify that to him.

Will try to use spells to see if that helps you, if you want to try it out.

if not then cuddles will do.

He LOVES cuddles.

If you cant sleep then can you atleast cuddle untill he falls asleep? He would like it if you did.

Stolas will try anything and everything to help you sleep, if you wanna go to sleep that is.

If not then he'll be content once he realizes that you'll always be there, if he has a nightmare or just wants a lil kiss.

(Sorry for if you guys wanted a different character but im not trying to spend eternity writing for every character i can think of rn. Also sorry if they arent too accurate, i will accept any criticism and try to improve).

Yes ok, farewell wanderlust is a ride sure, it's fun! Full of melancholy in a way. I think about "I'm your angel ellipsis, your devil of dots" a normal amount sure. we love drama in this house

BUT WELLY BOOTS!!!

The heart break and yet undeniable enduring love!

"They said "That girl, she's wrong" But I'll stick up for you, even though you haven't got a clue, you haven't got a fucking clue"

It's like being trapped in the eye of the storm! You know it's not over and you've already been through so much but there's still more on the horizon and you just want to scream back at it!!! Like the song starts with a child losing their Welly Boots and being chided and yet more important than what those boots maybe cost is "Wear your rain coat or it'll soak you to the bone" Stay safe, your safety and health is more important. Like the point of the welly boots are to keep your feet dry!!! And all through the song, all through the storm it's someone wishing to provide comfort and safety to that child they love. And the pain is acknowledged and understood, the screaming and the anger directed at the absence. There is no blame for that, just the desire to show you're still there you could never truly leave them. So at the end, when that storm is passing and the "child" steps out BAREFOOT, when that anger breaks and just that sadness and loss is left!!!

You'll say "I've been so scared You left me here behind, do you not care? How the fuck am I supposed to carry on without you here?" Just when you're about to give up every hope you have, you turn around Perched by the stairs, someone's gone and left behind A brand new pair of scarlet welly boots

Stay safe, it means "I love you"!!!! the love is stored in the welly boots!!! I can't be there but please put on these boots so your feet can be protected while you weather the storm!!

Whether it's the fear and pain of not being able to be with someone we care about and still wanting them to so desperately know you're still there for them and love them!! Or like you are/were the "child" and still have that person you love as dearly as they love you but cannot see anymore and just need any sign that maybe they are you still with you.

Like I am biased. And I do have a weakness for objects symbolic of the love/care someone has (particularly objects that can serve a function in place of when the other person can't). Like here, we have this person who always protected this child, and wants to keep protecting them how ever they can BUT THEY ARENT PHYSICALLY THERE TO DO THAT. So what are you supposed to do when you want to be there to protect someone and care for someone? You give them something they can use that does that!!! I can't be there to hold you now, but please put on these scarlet welly boots on your bare feet so you don't get them wet or catch a cold.

princess ochako is thrown into emperor katsuki's harem in an effort to win his heart & claim the seat of empress in order to gain favor for her kingdom except her plan got derails when she meets the emperor's secret guard & childhood friend izuku who makes her question everything.

ochako expects infighting and rivalries among the harem and it's kinda? they still fight with each other thru thinly veil compliments and mindgames but hilariously it's not over the emperor but IZUKU the emperor's personal guard who remember their names, theirs likes & dislikes. katsuki rarely visits his harem but when he does izuku is there who smiles at them and compliments their change of hairstyle or make up, or this drew dress or jewelry they have on and he does it so sincerely. he always ask them about their day and curious about their homeland!!! they're deeply fond of izuku who makes them feel an actual person not at all like objects to be traded for favor and ochako starts to see why as she interacts with him and sees how kind and sweet he is; he's clumsy and awkward and not at all suave or charismatic but thats part of his charm.

katsuki and ochako doesnt get along that well but she's determine to win his favor and wants izuku to help and izuku seems hesitant but is willing to do it so they start to spend more time together and rumors come out that ochako is in love triangle with the emperor and his guard. SCANDALOUS!!! so she's not surprised when the ladies of the harem cornered and demands she quit bothering izuku. she thinks bc they're mad that she seducing izuku and trying to win katsuki's heart too but they just frown AND like NO, you fool dont get b/t katsuki and izuku's LOVE

it's an open secret that bkdk grew up together and they have this deep bond where katsuki almost died saving izuku's life once which is ? bc IZUKU IS HIS GUARD why did he go to that far for a lowly servant yet he keeps izuku close and treat him w more care than his own harem.

at this point the ladies accepted they're never going to gain any mileage with katsuki bc he's focusing on ruling, doesnt care about anything but the kingdom & izuku, and he's an asshole so why try to win favor with him when it's better to win izuku who has katsuki's affection?? izuku is MUCH NICER!! and easier to get along with so as smart as these ladies are they know that as long as they have a good relationship with izuku, katsuki will tolerate them and wont do anything bad to them bc izuku will get mad at him and katsuki is fucking whipped.

the funniest thing is that bkdk arent even remotely together in the romantic sense, they been dancing awkwardly and cautiously around e/o, afraid of ruining their delicate relationship that the harem ladies, watching this shit go down are like, how are you two such a DISASTER?? katsuki is fucking smart, he manages to overhauled this country to make it into a flourishing empire. won several wars and are talented in many ways and izuku is a tactical mind and martial elite, hailed as general toshinori's most promising student, yet they're so bad at ROMANCE

the ladies sigh and cant help getting emotionally invested in the theatrical of the bkdk's show where whenever katsuki add more ppl to his harem thru alliances, izuku will be sad but endured on bc it's for THE EMPIRE and katsuki will turn to izuku hoping he'll speak up against it. but izuku is self sacrificing so he'll never tell katsuki to jeopardized his rule/empire, but katsuki wishes izuku to be was more selfish and tell him to only favor him, to abolish the harem, etc so it's this dumb song and dance where bkdk refuse to COMMUNICATE W/ EACH OTHER.

katsuki has never lay a hand on his harem but he visits them when his advisors harassed him to do his due diligent of producing babies and izuku will put on a smile as he escorts him to one of the ladies' room but all katsuki does is like sleeping on the floor the entire time. katsuki glared at them and threatened the ladies to NEVER speak of it esp to izuku. they find themselves dont mind it bc they arent force to have sex with SOME ASSHOLE like katsuki anyway lol. the next morning katsuki pretends he did his 'job' and izuku will look longingly at him.

so yea these ladies are protective of bkdk's complicated relationship bc thanks them they get to live a pretty cushy life even to they cant go home again. they want bkdk to get together not bc they care about katsuki in anyway but when they see izuku sad it's BREAKING THEIR HEART. they tell ochako to not interfere w bkdk's relationship and ochako has her world completely turned upside down bc bkdk together?? but it's not like ewe 2 men or izuku is inferior but it's more like OMFG izuku you can do so much BETTER which is the first thing everything think lol. katsuki may sits in the highest seat and wields all these power/influence but to his own fucking harem and apparently ochako now he's just some ass their friend loves even though izuku can do so much better than him but izuku is in love so here they are supportive but reluctantly

so ochako is smart and ambitious, she wants her ppl and kingdom to succeeded so she ends up harassing katsuki with this knowledge that she can help him get with izuku if HE HELPS her first. she can be his inside person to izuku's heart bc izuku at least tells her things. on the outside it looks like ochako and katsuki are finally getting on. she's his favorite concubine but in reality they're partner in crime in an effort for katsuki to woo his guard and that she as no problem playing the shield to their secret affair bc they're both winning here.

this is how ochako finds out that she's not the main protag of this story where the emperor and his loyal soldier are fighting OVER HER but the supporting char all along but it's not so bad after all bc at least she's not bkdk tying the kingdom into knots in their dumb love story.

TELL ME MORE ABT VERA AND THE DISTORTION STUFF PLS

:) :) :) :) <- vera sleeper agents activated

so her distortion was originally not one, but i sort of shaped it into one over time, since she distorts others and is the voice of distortion in the rp. its about being the magical girl who saves the world, specifically saving her friends from the timeloop/suffering in general.

so vera joined the facility because her family/friends/etc was like "damn you suck! bye" and she was like "W. HUH?????" and wanted to spite them for leaving her. once she learned of the timeloops on d10, shes like "im gonna fix this!". but as time goes on and everything gets worse, she gets more stressed about trying to fix it before everyone just loses it and they cant be saved. so from the stress, vera falls really hard into a magical girl persona, trying to be likeable and everyones friend (both so they dont lose it and so she isnt abandoned).

ironically vera ended up losing it the most and kinda loses herself to the magical girl thing, and ends up coming to the conclusion that she will save the world and all her friends with her magical girl powers. you can only be so sane after seeing your friends die over and over (and then watching utter chaos ensue on d46-49 as everyone dies and doesnt come back, as everything falls apart and you cant do anything, the world is laughing in your face, everyone is.)

so on d50 she distorts! she brings back her dead friends, steals the seed of light for her own power, and at the same time owen realizes about the timeloops and gets hit in the face with so so many memories he never knew he had. vera decides to leave him behind, which is because when she asked if he wanted to join her, he didn't respond, so she was like "ok bye have fun!" (he was not having fun)

ok finally the distortion itself. it has no name rn over than "the light" but im totally giving it a good name one day. veras the leader of it all, with tons of blind followers who totally agree with her. theyre all distorted, but their distortions have been hidden under light-y versions of themselves. everyone whos a part of the light basically has time stopped for them - they dont age or change at all. they also cant see things negatively/feel negativity, being only happy or (at worst) neutral. their suffering has totally stopped.

ofc this has consequences. everyones basically stuck in denial/ignorance of any suffering. everything vera does ends up being for her own goals, so all her followers arent really people anymore. she goes around entirely unknowing of all the suffering shes caused, and over time uses her own followers to save herself

in l corp, vera gets stressed about all of her deaths catching up to her, which manifests in the distortion - veras under her lighty shell, but shes also rotting, so she reverses it with the life of her followers. in the final battle against her she literally kills tons of people to bring herself to good health

soo distorted!veras personality is way too happy. shes basically manic half the time, doing random impulsive things and distorting people for no reason and ditching them when they get aggressive/sad/etc. she calls everyone her friends and family. when anything negative is presented to her, especially relating to her past, shell either twist it into positiveness or go totally silent with a blank stare. and then snap right back to her happy self :)

shes meant to be so fast its confusing/disorienting, which often works on people shes trying to pull into her cult thing. they get so confused they just cant do anything, give up, or just distort on their own.

malks core suppression just. fits her. it gives me the vibe of something being Off and Wrong and yeah thats how it is with her in the final battle (also would just fit like any vera tbh) also it has breakcore and is very fast. which also fits!

awake is the same kind of thing as past memories, simple piano stuff. that kind of song tends to fit her. this one also gets fucked up at the end but in a different way that i really like. like this is her as a whole. also its pretty earstrainy so be warned

the toy box! a really good song that happens to be about denial and growing up (also some stuff about identity issues). fits both vera and her distortion a lot

alkali underachiever, which i think is about standing up in the face of hardship and going on despite bad things. i dont remember the lyrics too well but i think it has "please dont hate me" in them and damn if a happy song with that in it isnt her

This started out as a rant and turned into an entire Character Headcanon Study Blurb Thing whoops

Tumblr danganronpa fandom has the coldest takes on Kazuichi and it is so sad

And the ones that bug me most arent even from haters, theyre from people who are fans but like they think Kazuichi is just a Stock Stupid Character.

"Kaz is no thoughts head empty" bitch she sometimes *wishes* she were no thoughts head empty she is literally Always Thinking she cant even sleep sometimes because she gets Brain Racing. Dont let her kinda resting, kinda stressed out faces fool you that time where she was trying to look like a tough guy she was constantly thinking about how people saw her and what was going on socially and it was really overwhelming.

There's always like one or two songs, or like two pieces of a song that never finish, stuck in the unused tabs in her head while the used tabs are doing like fifty other things and feel like theyre going nowhere, which is so frustrating. She is unmedicated and doesnt know that she could use medication. She judges herself on Neuotypical Standards and assumes all of her autism and adhd traits are her "being dumb again." And you bet she internalizes that and it drills into her self esteem.

She makes open ended goals and gets frustrated that they never feel finished. She downplays all of her successes because she never feels good enough, especially if everyone ignored what she accomplished and just looks at her like they expect more. Life gets in the way and plans falter and she blames herself for all the failures (and exaggerates the failures in her head) and she is so rejection-sensitive and internalizes everything bad people say about her and lowkey thinks everyone hates her if people dont openly show that they're not mad at her. That they still enjoy her company.

Her dad was an asshole who took advantage of her skills and hypocritically expected a lot from her while not providing for their small family (which is just the two of them). You think she cant do housework? She was doing almost as much as Mahiru for her family (I did not intend to give them almost the same backstory just by not giving Kaz a mom but that's how it worked lol) before the "vacation." But everything ruined her expectations, her routine, her setup, so she had trouble doing things like washing her clothes because her thoughts would get in the way, including "Id have to find a block of time to not leave the house" because this is her One Oufit (sensory issues and not knowing how she wants to present herself right now make it harder for her to find other clothes she likes) and things like "we'll be able to go home any day now so what's the rush?" Im still not sure what she was doing to keep her clothes from smelling bad but it worked bc Hiyoko was canonically the only one who smelled bad and everyone else complained about it. But anyway this clothes thing probably weighed on her brain Sometimes A Little and Sometimes A Lot almost the whole time, making it harder for her to do anything about it. It's hard to make ADHD brain do the thing that does Not have a time limit AND weighs on you for so long and your brain tricks you by making up rules like"it cant be done until you do this other thing", and one of the rules in her head was probably "I shouldnt have to wash this until we get back home, and we're definitely getting back home any day now"

She wants to trust everybody, if she had it her way she would trust everybody all the time (and be friends with everybody all the time tbh), but she just cant.

Life has shown her that people are assholes, that they can and will betray her, and she still feels like a gullible little kid who gets hurt trusting everyone, so she overcompensates and trusts no one.

She doesnt want to be the sissy boy anymore so she overcompensates and tries to be the tough guy. She doesnt want people to call her gay like in middle school so when she's attracted to a woman's body she lets all the guys know so that they dont mysteriously find out that she's queer and hurt her for it (it's not actually mysterious but she has trouble telling when she's obvious about a crush or attraction to a guy so it always feels out of nowhere when guys pick up on that and call her a homo or a fag.) Her earliest crushes were boys and when she got her first girl crushes she thought she was finally "done with (her) 'gay phase' " and was deep in denial when she was still attracted to guys, including some of the assholes she was trying to impress all the time.

Not to mention the killing game. Every time she wasnt distracting herself with Hajime or Sonia just to keep herself Feeling Alright she was spending almost all that time trying to think of a way off the island. When Hajime said "with that much free time you should be more productive" I wanted to kick my shoe through my Nintendo Switch. Hajime Dumbass she was doing that pretty much every time she wasnt socializing. I think most adhd people have heard that line, "be more productive, focus on the right thing, dont get distracted," I know Hajime is just a kid with unchecked biases but yeah that line attacked me

"Be more productive" kind of like when she was trying to figure out her plans for the future? She's a totally creative dreamer who daydreams of big things like rockets and princesses and motorcycles and tanks, but with her autism she wants to be realistic, and her dad was always telling her to have her goals figured out so she would make money (also pushing her to always be supporting him because "Im your father I did everything for you") so she is stumped because her ideas are for creative scenarios that get limited due to real life: limited finances, sensory issues/motion sickness, and all the pessimism from over time of feeling like a dumb dumb kid. Her dreams were shut down so much she censors herself, and even when her dreams are more masculine and reachable, she's still hesitant to talk, but Hajime told her to settle for being a delinquent. She didnt want that. But she doesnt know what she wants that she can obtain so she's stumped. The fact that she is thinking about her future after graduating when she's also trying to find a way off the island...no thoughts head empty?

She literally stayed up multiple nights freaking out and coming up with plans for stuff, including to capture Nagito again so he doesnt hurt someone, and you think she's no thoughts head empty. Get out of here.

FACTS ABOUT THE WARNERS FROM THE OG SERIES CANON THAT I THOUGHT WERE INTERESTING!! also tried to include things i didnt see in other ppl’s lists! 🌈🌈

⭐ they actually do get insulted when ppl try to assume what they are, its fine if the warners are making it into a joke themselves but when someone assumes theyre some sort of “demented monkey” or “ewok” they really dont like it! (especially dot) and are visibly (and sometimes vocally) annoyed

if the person isnt trying to be insulting yakko will usually politely correct them by saying their names (uuuh, close! we’re the warner brothers! and the warner sister) and changing the subject, if the person is rude yakko will (HAPPILY) insult their looks right back!

⭐ a lot of yakko’s educational songs are sung to teach wakko smth and i think thats really cute ;;

⭐ even if wakko is the middle child they usually treat him like hes the baby, dot acts a lot more like an older a sister to him most of the time

⭐ YAKKO IS BOTH CONCERNED AND OBSESSED WITH MONEY (( gonna be building on this in another post ;) ))

⭐ its interesting how so many fan comics/fics have yakko as the peacekeeper between wakko and dot when its dot and yakko who argue the most, wakko usually just stays quiet or away from the two of them but if he joins in then the fight is usually broken up by an adult around them (a producer, director or dr scratchnsniff usually) yakko doesnt break up the fights, he joins them

⭐ yakko is a light sleeper

⭐ wakko and yakko can both play piano and violin, yakko is the more experienced piano player, while wakko is the more experienced violin player

⭐ dot can play violin too but ((according to her)) shes not that good

⭐ wakko can also play drums and accordion

⭐ they can all play a little guitar

⭐ according to the canon dot cant act or sing and if she does either well her brothers are very surprised lkdsjkld

⭐ if you want to have a normal convo with one of the warners, wakko is your best bet if you can get him alone since his siblings are almost always “on” but he usually isnt.. hes just like that

⭐ dot is the only warner who has canonically cursed on the show (a lot)

⭐ yakko WANTS to curse, pretty often too, but holds back bc he knows the censors wont allow it ((which implies that yakko curses a lot and often offscreen))

⭐ in the canon of the show the warners are actors and dot is the fan favorite, while wakko is the most unpopular of the three, so much so that he even writes fan letters to himself so he’ll have smth to open when his siblings get their REAL fan letters

“lets sell/trade wakko” is a running joke in the series since hes the most unpopular of the three

the love language of dream smp members :) (platonic for minors! romantic for others) im doing them all bc they all deserve recognition! :D keep in mind i dont know all of their personalities well! (hbomb, antfrost, ponk, lazarbeam, etc) these are all c!dsmp (in game) those marked with * are ones im uncertain about/unfamiliar with! -- dream: gift giving or acts of service with a twinge of physical touch. mans will get anything for you, no lie. you want it? hes got it. dream xd: acts of service or gift giving. possibly touch, but i dont see him being keen on it unless its in private. i see him as someone who tries to spoil his s/o a lot. if youre a worthy lover of a god, you should be treated like one. george: probably acts of service, quality time and touch. man would probably cuddle with you while watching some movie that neither of you pay attention to. sapnap: touch or words of affirmation. he does like giving gifts on occasion though! probably something thatll remind you of him. but overall, he prefers hand holding or something. he likes knowing youre there. callahan*: quality time. i imagine he likes going places all over the smp. it makes him happy to take you places that he finds beautiful. even better when you find them beautiful too! sam: acts of service for sure. he would make you tea (or your preferred drink) on a bad day and wrap you in blankets and cuddle as much as youd like. or, he would leave you alone if you need it. hes very caring, warden persona aside. sam nook: gift giving seems his thing! or acts of service! he seems as if he would get you things to cheer you up, or just simply do things like tuck you in. if you want, he gladly will let you pet his lil ears. (yes i hc that sam nook has lil ears :) ) alyssa*: even if we dont see her much, she strikes me as the type to enjoy physical touch. hand holding or something simple. she prefers to stay out of the thick of things and chill, thanks. ponk*: touch or words of affirmation i think are very fitting. he seems the type to always have an arm around you or holding your hand. he definitely would be good at comforting, i think. badboyhalo: i think we can all agree that hes a mix of everything. i think hes most oriented with words of affirmation and quality time. he likes spending time with you, just telling you all the things he loves about you. tommy: more than likely quality time. i dont see him as one to like holding hands (”me? hold hands? grOSS! step away and leave some space for the holy spirit!”) or anything. hes not good with words of affirmation (he needs them, really) and hes a bit awkward with things like hand holding. so spending time with him is his thing. listening to his discs and joking around with you and tubbo is what makes him happy. tubbo: gift giving, touch and quality time. he likes spending time with those he cares for, as well as giving them gifts. little trinkets, mostly. for example, he gave ghostbur a bracelet woven from friends wool, and hes given tommy a ruby! :) fundy: probably gifts. fox man will find you shiny things. emeralds, diamonds, gold, you name it. even if you dont need/want it, he gets you things. rings and necklaces and bracelets. it makes him happy to see you wear them. not all at once, of course, but wear them nonetheless. punz*: acts of service and touch. hes the type to arrange your things to suprise you or leave you flowers on a bad day. he also would probably cuddle and ramble about how perfect you are to him. purpled*: quality time. i think he would gladly spend time with you if you asked him to :) wilbur: a little bit of everything, i think. but one thing i think he would definitely do is write songs, so basically making playlists, but he sings for you instead! but for one of the main ones, i think he mostly is one for touch and affirmations. he likes being comforted/comforting you. ghostbur: gift giving or touch. quality time, too! i think he likes giving you things (like blue!) in general. he also seems very clingy (which is adorable <3 anyone who says its not can fight me rn) and would gladly hold your hand! he often will just take it anyways. :) (”i like holding your hand! your hands are nice to hold because theyre warm!”) schlatt: quality time. like tommy, i think he isnt one for touch. maybe he will give you gifts, but spending time with him is enough of a gift for him. skeppy*: gift giving. he would probably get you big gifts, like stuffed animals or something. or photos. seems like a skeppy type thing to me. :) eret: a little of everything, i think. but i see his thing being touch and quality time. i think they would very gladly cuddle if you asked them to! but shes big spoon, no doubt about it. only little spoon if you ask. jack manifold*: acts of service or touch. he would make you food if you wanted it, i think, or hold your hand. maybe not the best with comfort or cooking, but he tries. (”look i- i know the cookies arent good, but its the thought that counds, right?”) niki: words of affirmation, quality time and touch would all be nikis thing! :) she would spend time with you, probably cuddling and providing comfort if needed. she would remind you every day that youre loved and youre worth it. quackity: definitely touch and quality time. when hes not busy, he takes you places. often to watch the sunset. he also strikes me as one for pda! a bit shy at first, but relaxes into it. hes definitely one to say “gotta show off my partner! >:)” mexican dream*: words of affirmation but in spanish dont @ me karl: do we need to even question this? (spoiler alert: quality time and touch) hbomb*: strikes me as the type for quality time and some touch :) techno: probably acts of service, gift giving and quality time. he likes holidays like christmas and your birthday because he can give you things. he likes shiny things! and he likes you, so he gives them to you! antfrost*: quality time and touch seem fitting. just the peace of being together. philza: quality time and gift giving with a bit of touch. he likes when you touch his wings, running your fingertips over the smooth feathers, or fixing any ruffled spots. he also likes spending quiet time together. he can give words of affirmation and comfort if you need them. connor*: probably touch! i see him as the type to want to hold your hand a lot. so def one for pda :) puffy: probably quality time and words of affirmation. goat mom would def be able to encourage and comfort you. vikkstar*: i think touch is fitting :) pda really, and acts of service lazarbeam*: acts of service seem most fitting! he seems the type to do things for you, especially on bad days. ranboo: gift giving and quality time! he is definitely the type to get you little things! or grass blocks. he gets sad if you rid of a grass block, so you kinda have to store em. or kindly explain that you dont want dirt inside, so you can put the grass blocks outside. foolish: the type for acts of service, i think! and maybe some touch. i think he gladly will do things for you, no questions asked. (unless it seems harmful ofc!) hannah*: seems the type to like words of affirmation (giving and receiving!) especially on your/her bad days. slimecicle: gift giving. he probably picks you flowers and does nice things whilst being sarcastic. he will comfort you on bad days, though. -- as usual, lmk if i should change tags! requests are open!

Fruits Basket Manga Review , ch 111

sigh~~~ I feel that my recent posts are a bit negative towards the anime, but thats cuz the chapters I’ve read so far are either unbelievably important character depth content cut for no valid reason or content in the anime but packed with million other things that it lost its purpose or importance. Basically tohu’s ep 6 which consists of 4 chapters & now ep 5 which is a momiji ep & yup, packed with 4 chapters as well... so, I apologize for any negativity, my intention is just analyzing artistic & story-telling aspects, I love se03, but yeah it screwed up lots of important characters due to its not so thorough plot decisions & harmful character insight choices.

today.. we explore Momiji... but only before his curse breaks.

Furuba anime struggling to know how to design an episode based on various plot-heavy chapters?

so, they decided 13 eps, & decided one ep for momiji cuz motoko’s graduation & the fanclub is the core of the furuba & have already cut tons of tohru, cuz who cares? she’s kind. be like her. end of lesson. No. really, jokes aside, how to do this?

How to combine several chapters in one ep? collect small snippets from chosen chapters/content like a bee does flowers? you gotta skip some content, you gotta highlight others. The ep is only 20 min after all & you got an op & Ed that you cant always skip.... so.. furuba team decide that momoji’s ep should be true to his zodiac animal, this is the rabbits last appearance in spirit. so, they went with quick hopping from one chapter to the other like a rabbit?

No really, ep 5 is really like a rabbit in its flow, you can’t savior a moment enough before jumping to the other: we learned momiji grew up!! loves toheu romantically, challenged kyo, really meant it, wanted a fair love game, got freed, lost tohru romantically & faced momiji! but that’s not all? we still have space!! quick add akito’s moodiness & love triangle with her dog & her submissive bed partner, add a happy comedy for no reason whatever & make shigue kiss tohru & wish shes 'was his lover instead!!!!!!!!! Mind you all this happened in the anime before shigure hurt tohru with his “the truth of the zodiacs talk & them accepting & feeling consolance that kyo is doomed”talk.

-Gets whats my biggest surprise after reading this chapter ?????????

Shigure is consistent!! He isnt a rabbit hopping here & there. The dog is loyal & is tired for good reason! Him being depressed & his weird talk with thoru makes so much sense given the manga’s order.

Kyo is consistent!! In the anime, momiji surprise him with confession he loves tohru & challenge him, then kyo la~la~la~joins them downstairs for curry. Not a single expression on his face, where is the expression? it will appear when the plot is forced to address it: by the end of the ep when momiji face hin again. Then we get kyo’s reaction.

I need someone to tell the anime that actions require a reaction. You can refrain from showing a certain reaction if you can’t address it now, but you can’t erase it, negate it, then make it appear when have to!!!! couldn’t they make kyo refuse to join them & eat together? the other characters wont be surprised they think he’s needlessly moody. The audience will know that kyo is troubled with momiji’s challenged & it will excite them!!! having kyo just go eat & watch the momiji/hiro/haru/yuki comedy skit is weird.

The manga’s author wanted kyo to join the dinner, like the anime did. but huge difference. the author actually cares for logic reaction & understands that the audience aren’t dumb little kids that will sit & wait for kyo’s turn to...react! nope! she did this: (a) & (b) below.

-Lost Small Bits/ Panels from the chapter.. But Sadly Big Huge Chunks for Characters buildup & Growth:

(a) addressed the fact the hiro noticed kyoru is in love & dressed that shigure was right!! the cat being in love is a weird concept to the zodiacs! hiro reacted naturally & the author used hiro to flesh yuki’s (the rat), momiji’s (the rabbit) & haru’s (the cow) decision to silently watch the kyo (the cat) makes his own decisions to live!!! They won’t interfere or tell akito or remind him of his state as the doomed caged cat. So sad this moment is cut from yuki. Why must yuki only interact with kyo to beat him (all seasons)? why must yuki only think of kyo to envy him (all seasons) ? Here, yuki’s growth towards kyo as a person & his relationship with tohru is 1000 times better than all tohru is my mom’s sh!t & I envy kyo’s Sh!t we saw in the anime over & over till we memorized it.

(b) kyo didnt just go la~la~eat with momiji after knowing he loves tohru. Nope, there’s small bits missing: called logical emotional reaction. He was surprised he’s caught pining over tohru! cuz yuki, the audience representative, has told us in the previous chapter that ppl in love dont notice anything around them. Kyo thinks him being cold hid his feelings. the dummy’s feelings are as bright as the sun in the Sahara, tohru too. a child read her! such small thing that wont take much space from the ep but was cut cuz kyo only needs to be responsive at the ep’s end. & this scene of kyo & tohru looking awkwardly at each other is minor in space but so important cuz kyo is determined to let go but his decision is challenged by not only momiji, but his natural attraction to tohru. Here he knows he’s caught & exposed... here he knows momiji is a better choice for tohru cuz he wont didn’t hurt her mom... here he knows that even yuki is better cuz never had to pretend to be cold to her... here he knows the world is better than him... & here he just cant help by smile & walks towards her... T_T ... another lesson in writing slow burns by Takaya-san.

-Why would the anime team pass on this?? drawing kyoru closer after the epic tear in Cinderella ep, cuz they want empty suspense~! The anime team thinks that if kyo & tohru stand next to each other, then it means all their issues are solved & the audience are so stupid as to forget tohru’s mom, kyo’s imprisonment, kyo not confessing his sins to tohru & tohru’s need to make a choice wether to fogive hom or not.. nope! you see, they think, ppl who read mangas are smart, so the author can give this epic symbolism & pp would still be not sure kyoru is end game & tohru will forgive him or kyo even fogive himself, but ppl who watch, oh no, gotta cut all the plot worthy content, produce a graduation song for a minor character, cut all kyo/tohru interaction cuz it only means romance & not at all character depth & oh if we show yuki actually formulating deep thoughts that aren’t centered around him, the audience might forget his se02 struggles! or that might ruin yuki’s upcoming growth moment in the finale where he .. you guessed it hits kyo.. as he always do & sulk & think abt himself cuz yuki can only do monologues when he’s directly involved.... man~it is so sad how the anime is dumped down.. Who is the target audience again? not kids as young as hiro cuz even hiro is smart!

-just look:

Momiji talks abt kyo shouldn't give up loving tohru & the authr shows this this ghost!!! his mom! The author reminds us that kyo isnt da~~~~ forgetting anything. He’s a deeply troubled soul & hos mom wants him locked cuz she too was locked in a cage & thinks that’s safer...why oh why you dump ur own story! sh!t~

Side Notes:

I like the closeups on Kisa’s face as she interacted with kyo. It’s very rare for kisa to have a world beside the endearing parental/big protective bro/big doting sister love she has with tohru & haru & off course the romantic love with hiro which was perhaps since their birth or sth. lol. Kisa & kyo arent much on the brotherly side as they rarely interact, but its one of those refreshing interactions she has that helps cast a new light on her as tiny as it is, but its sth out of the norm around her. She sees him around tohru & gets to perceive his true unprovoked character. “He is nice guy”.

I really wanted to punch kureno this chapter.. like Shigure is a jerk shitty dog for sleeping with akito’s mom but kureno... dude.. you submissively sleep with the guy’s eternal love interest & still walks in on him talking to her!!! lol. you’re mentally, emotionally & physically weaker than him & yet, she puts you on her bed, not him & you, tho not wanting her at all, dont walk away. No wonder shigure is defeated & wishing for someone like tohru, lol! Even if shigure met an older tohru-like person, it wont work. shigure deserve someone like him mean, schemer & loves playing power games. Tohru is someone who values honesty & commutation, not saying she’s an angel on earth, but tohru knows who suits her.. except fate is saying: NO. .... currently. lol.

I know kureno’s weakness is part of his character & I love that such characters exits. There are ppl ike that in real life. It’s just this chapter, I felt shigure’s frustration. XD

Yuki in this ep is the best yuki. no exaggeration here, I love when yuki is calmly thoughtful of others & here its kyo of all ppl !!!! cutting this scene is sad.. without it, kyo & yuki remain a cat & rat in the anime. Only ever thinking abt each other thro envious binoculars or hateful words or yuki giving kyo comedic hitting or life’s problem-solving hitting. Why can’t anime yuki be interactive outside his self-centered issues is beyond me.

Momiji & kyo’s interactions are always the best! whether comedy or drama.

I hated the curry cooking scene in the anime... so weirdly out of the ep’s flow.. very forced comedy... in the manga it had a purpose! not just quick add comedy cuz next shot momiji curse breaks & drama & we’ll close the ep with tears & sadness & glimpses of hope...

I love haru’s answer to hiro... so him.. “a guy can’t fall in love?”so chill.. so..simple.

Okay I know most of you are expecting me to sat Douxie and you'd be right

5. What is your favorite overused trope?

Fucking found family. I can never get enough of it. No matter how many times I see it I'm always just 👀💜

Other than that, probably a character not realizing they're injured until adrenaline is worn off and they brush their hand across the unknown wound and the hand comes back blood. That is just 🎩 😘🤌 chef's kiss

7. Name a character you wouldn't mind naming someone after.

I'd love to name my kid after any of the lunar chronicles characters 👀 the names are just normal enough that people wouldn't be too suspicious XD

8. Do you prefer, happy, bittersweet, or sad endings

It often depends on the piece of media but usually I prefer happy or bittersweet endings. Usually happy if it can be helped 😅

9. Do you like prequels?

I do enjoy some prequels but it's only if they're done very well!

For example, the trilogy prequels of Star Wars arent... great but I enjoy watching them.

The only actual prequel movie that I'd watch on a regular basis is probably Rogue One because it's 🤌 yes

16. Do you block people who like characters/ships you dont

Only if they're problematic

I had to block more than one person, not because of the characters/ships THEY liked but because they were attacking ME for characters and ships I liked.

But no. If you're not harassing me and are fine and happy doing what you're doing then I don't really care that you like a character or a ship that I don't.

The only exception to that is if it's an extremely problematic ship that's pedophilic etc.

17. Are there any tropes you wished were used less often?

Hmmm maybe fucking timeline resets? If it's not done extremely well it usually sucks. *glares at rott*

Also, as much as I love badass women, I kinda have grown to dislike the trope of the "Oh that awesome kickass knight was actually a woman all along *gasp* how scandalous. " it's overplayed and kinda... boring now? I dunno. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. In all honesty it feels kind of disrespectful. I don't know how or why but it does

Claire Nuñez is the one exception to this rule. She did it right.

taeil

- he is pretty chill with haru

- mostly because he worries she feels overwhelmed being the youngest and getting so much attention but it doesn't mean he loves her any less though

- he lets her do whatever she wants (unless its something that can harm her)

- if she ever feels down or goes through her depression he doesn't over protect her, but lets haru come to him if she wants to talk to him

- watches her with the biggest eyes and makes sure she takes care of herself, eats, sleeps

- she adores him so much and she loves how patient he is with her because she feels like she can be a burden at times

- taeil warms her heart

- haru appreciates him so much and comes to him for whatever

- he once caught her watching videos of him singing, and she still does

- haru stays a lot in her studio so taeil visits her and checks up on her

- he’s also one of the only people with the pass code to her studio

johnny

- these two are just everything

- the first time they met he took her under his wing

- 100% her dad

- she was so shy and petite, he basically adopted her

- he always has an eye on her because she becomes distracted very quickly

- johnny saw haru grow up and it makes him cry every time he thinks about it

- her personal body guard

- if anyone touches her, they're done

- picks her up whenever

- he is whipped for her

- they are always hugging, holding hands, with consent ofc

- yuta is also very protective of her

- i mean she’s on the shorter side and haru is naive, she will believe anyone

- haru feels safe with all the members but if she had to, she would run to yuta for protection

- they take so many pictures of each other

- haru is seen jumping on his back in a few videos

- and yuta doesn't mind a bit

- she was learning a bit of japanese but yuta found out and insisted on teaching her himself

doyoung

- haru is just a great human and naturally everyone is attracted to her personality and that is doyoungs case

- you would just want to take care of her and thats why he has this motherly nature towards her

- he always nags her about cleaning her room and taking care of herself

- whenever they are eating together he places more food on her plate regardless of what she says

- and he makes sure she eats it

- truly though, they are really close

- they have a closer relationship off screen then on screen

- there are a few photos out where they are hugging each other

- but she also stresses him out

- she clowns him a lot and gives him gray hairs

- they arent the bickering type but more of the soft type

- freely he givers her all of his shirts and hoodies

- has hidden her wallet several times so she cant pay for things

- they could be beating each other up or they could be cuddling

- haechan is one of the main reasons why she is more outgoing

- haru is innocent and sweet but when she is paired up with haechan she’s another person

- he drags her out to meals and makes her pay for them

- but then later he stuffs a few bucks in her bag/wallet

- they deeply care and love each other but they will never say it to each other

- he always brings up her height lol

Why hello! This is my scenario and dialogue prompts list.

If you want, you can give me a maximum of 3 prompts. Then give me a character or two from either of the three fandoms I'm writing for, and then a genre. I'll see what I can do.
