I can just see Luke going on a rant to Din about his entire messed up life that all stemmed from the fact that he never got his power converters, and Din just listening intently for the 2 hours that Luke ranted, taking everything in.

Then Din, wanting to help Luke feel better goes all the way to Tatooine with Grogu on a little field trip, and asks Peli Motto(The mechanic lady) where Toshi Station is.

She figures he's doing this for the cute Jedi boy so she leads him and their and helps him buy some.

Din raps up the present and has Grogu give it to Luke. When he opens it and sees what it is he just bursts into tears on the spot, and pulls the two in for the biggest hug ever.

i really want to watch all the star wars movie again from the beginninggg. those movies give me such good vibes :(( i didn't watch them until maybe two years ago and I WAS HOOKED (quarantine year had me watching shows/movies i never got around to sjsjs) and omg sometimes I get star wars on my feed and it'll be the ship 'dinluke' (I believe that's the ship hfjejwjw) but I've never watched 'the mandalorian' before (which is next on my bucket list). i was so confused I literally had to research all of the lore on reddit JDJSJSJSS. i was like, "mm hmm. okay so this is the connection. perfection i don't really understand but-" it went something like that JSJSJSJAJ (they're honestly pretty cute and I have no qualms about it. I have a headcanon for dinluke that's somewhat based on a misconception I had about Din before he took off his helmet for the first time:

So idk why I thought this, but when I first started watching the Mandalorian, I was like 75% sure the actor for "Mando" was older than Pedro Pascal is. Like 40s and 50s old-ish. Don't ask me why, I cannot tell you for sure - it may have just been the tired dad vibes and the fact that his voice was muffled by the helmet. Could I have been bothered to check who the actor for the main character of the show was? Yes, but also no, because I didn't. Anyways, I headcanon that Luke was also expecting someone older under the armor so he got a big surprise when Din lifts the helmet to reveal a young single dad instead of a silver fox dad. I know Luke can sense other people who are obscured from him, but like. The Tired Dad vibes are strong with this one, ya know? And it's not a stretch to say that Luke has daddy issues of SOME KIND so he was probably a little hot and bothered under the collar about getting a meet-cute with an older hunky (personally, I think swooping in on an X-Wing to save someone from a horde of death robots with your OP magical anime girl powers is the only way meet-cutes should happen). And then this guy just totally shocks him by being a pretty young (but still tired and handsome) dad who just wants to protect his son even if that means letting him go and suddenly Luke is like, oh fuck, I think I have a NEW type (*vibrates*)
