Every day of the year, not just during Pride Month. Trans and GNC lives are ALWAYS important and ALWAYS relevant.

I love when trans people say that NOBODY identifies as nonhuman. Like. Guess I don't exist now! Yay, I've always wanted to not be real!

"Wrote a transgender man as being in a woman's prison and misgendered him" This is such a stupid take lmao that was the point. Its 2011 Florida. The asshole prison doctor misgenders a trans person who was being put in the wrong prison. The main character didn't react past seeming confused then positive. It's not framed as a good situation. It still happens. What a westerner moment of media literacy lmao. Guess araki is a transphobe. Never read other shonens you'll get a heart attack lol.
I'm literally about to start charging 50 bucks for you guys to send me ask like this to my inbox

Your right to exist as the person you are overrides anybody else's opinion about it, which is why I don't allow people to spew bigoted opinions - especially ableist ones - in my sickbay. Sickbay is the last place anybody needs to feel anxiety about their right to just be! emojis: black heart, blue heart, masked

yeah people overstate the differences between afab and amab people and even forget intersex ppl exist. Some women have a lot of testosterone, some men don't. And then when someone has medically transitioned, the 'differences' become even less visible. It's such a non issue because people are vastly different regardless of gender which can make them better at a sport.
discrimination based on assignment at birth ends up hurting everyone else too because everyone is now looked at under a microscope. this often affects women of color because racism has determined what ideal femininity is and that means woc are targeted. (also because people are more worried about amab people in women's sports so women's sports are more affected by this)
in conclusion gender is literally just a thing that conservatives are being annoying abt and i just wanna watch good footy.
Yup.
The thing is also that for a situation to occur where a trans woman competes as a pro athlete the stars literally need to align.
In basically every major sport you can't just pick it up at 22 and become world class. Like let's look at the fear conservatives are putting out there. They think that any 'man' who is pretending to be trans can just walk into a women's football match and dominate. Like what?
To be a pro athlete you need so much more than just speed and strength, not to mention that the differences are already huge. Players like Anouk Dekker play someone like Mana Iwabuchi. Anouk is 30cm taller than Mana and i'm pretty sure Anouk could crush Mana's bones with her thighs. That is considered fair play because hey, everyone has different qualities. But a trans person joining that squabble is completely out of the question because omg that would be unfair.
The fact that this unit of a woman could smash a lot of guys into the ground is of course an unheard of fact in conservative circles because she is just a girl.

More than anything, I hope that what we all get from the new Barbie movie is the idea that by working together and building each other up we're a stronger community. Because those Barbies did NOTHING but love each other and support one another from the get go and I am desperately hoping that sisterhood (this absofuckinglutely includes my trans sisters please don't think it doesn't) and sense of community translates off screen.

Soldier, or Jane Doe, grew up in Kansas on a farm with his parents and cousins. Born in January 1920. The farm was severely affected when the Great Depression hit. His family was already pretty low on funds in the first place, especially when the livestock died off from the long droughts. In 1932, his family finally had it when they lost their home to the Dust Bowl - luckily they didn’t own much in the first place so nothing was really lost - and moved to California. There, the men in the family worked as laborers on farms to earn money, meanwhile Jane and his mother found work in a sewing shop(until child labor laws took affect in 1938 that is). His youngest cousin stayed in the care of a neighbor due to constant illness and her young age.

I hate taking interest in something but not being able to rant about it because of not knowing anything about it I hate it
And since yes, this is about DC, if I even try to talk about it to a guy or if someone overhears me ranting, they'll start asking the typical 100 questions like “oh, you like DC? Name every character” because ‘I'm a girl so I can't like comics 🥺’ go fuck yourself
Edit: Fuck it I'm gonna rant about it here. Forgive me for my lack of information
