cas was the one to say "I'll just wait here then" but really the one who did basically all the waiting for cas to come back over and over again was dean

drowstiel didn't have to be a love triangle. it could have been a polycule. i mean they've all slept together already. and we know that crowley cared about cas, and that dean cared about crowley. obviously both crowley and cas cared about dean, and dean about cas. and cas could have learned to love crowley if they were in the same boat, i'm sure of it. they could have been the dream team. instead we got unrequited love and death.

I’ve just started reading part one of Ninety One Whiskey by Komodobits on Ao3 after seeing everyone raging about it on twitter and I’m feeling twist and shout deja vu, my feelings are definitely going to get hurt I just know it. Pray to Cas for me

There's no way Dean didn't pray to Cas in episode 12x09 when he and Sam were isolated in that governemental jail. I refuse to believe it. They didn't show it to us, they didn't say anything about it. But listen to me. There's NO FUCKING WAY he didn't.
They didn't show us because it wasn't relevant to the story like it was in episode 6x06. We learned that Dean called Cas for help about soulless!sam but we didn't see him, but they tell us he did because that's relevant for him to yell at Cas in that scene for not coming when he calls. And same in Purgatory we learn that Dean prayed to Cas every night, we don't know what he said in these prayers but they tell us he prayed because this is relevant, it leads to Cas explaining why he never answered those prayers.
So my point is that in episode 12x09 they didn't tell us he prayed to Cas because there was no purpose for the story, but HE DID. He prayed to him because he felt alone and that's also why Cas seems so lost and helpless. Because he can hear Dean, he can hear him but can't answer, he can hear him not knowing where they are kept. He can hear him ask for help without being able to do so.

Obsessed with the idea that even though Cas can't feel the cold they have to go somewhere cold for a case and Dean's putting a woollen hat on him, tugging gloves on one by one and winding a soft scarf around his neck.
Bundling him up. because Dean takes care of the people he loves.
Dean says it's just so that he doesn't stick out not wearing any cold weather gear around humans. and Cas accepts this lie as a fact and nods solemnly even as Dean is making sure the hat covers his ears properly
Sam wants to strangle them both with their scarves for being oblivious idiots but suffers in silence

Why does everybody hate Berens? What did he do?
apart from the j1/w*ncest crowd, i don't think people really do at all. he's kind of beloved in fandom. there is a (very small) group of us hellers, however, who have noticed that he is largely responsible for some of our least favorite things in dabb era specifically (but really just in general with how he writes). most of the angry!dean stuff comes from his episodes (he seems to be under the impression that dean is just angry and there's nothing else to it which is in stark contrast with the general dean thesis of 'i'm not mad. i'm worried.'). he also wouldn't know subtlety and nuance if it hit him over the head. and then there's all the racism, most specifically in regards to kaia, but it's in other places too. the racism is obviously the biggest issue, but it kind of gets glossed over for reasons i can only guess at but i'm sure include 'omg he's the destiel warrior! we wouldn't have destiel without him!' (which is simply not true. does robbie 'goodbye stranger' thompson mean nothing to you?)
