This full moon in Cancer whooped my ass. I will be learning about my true self and growing till the time my energies leave my body.✨ I’m definitely feeling that relief with the moon in Leo now.
I am in tune with the good in everything.
I attract abundances and know the universe will deliver to me.
If you want to see it happen, write it down.
Protect your energy and be mindful of who touches you.
Blessed risings.

magnolia (m.s.) part 1
Tumblr media
part 2 part 3
summary: reader has a friends with benefits arrangement with matt (what is there to explain?)
genre: ANGST
word count: 1.4k
a/n: suggestive content? You know what to do, ladies. This is fiction.
The abrupt chill in her apartment struck her hard, wrapping around her like an icy shroud. The stark white walls defining the living room while the vibrant green accent wall provided a homey space for her little coffee bar. It wasn't just the cold; it was the haunting silence that can be heard, a clear contrast to the lively college days where laughter filled every corner of the bright, inviting space with friends.
Autumn had passed, and she found herself rummaging through Matt's old university sweaters from the depths of her closet, seeking solace in his familiar scent during these lonely, frigid days in Boston. She longed for his return, yearning for the warmth of his presence to fill the void around her.
Walking on the cold tile floors, her footsteps echoed softly as she wandered through the apartment, her eyes catching sight of the slightly tilted photo frame showcasing her and her friends from high school. It bothered her, yet she couldn't fix it herself. That was a Matthew Sturniolo chore—he knew where her toolbox was and was the only one capable of reaching it. Memories flooded back of him building a cozy nook by her large windows where she loved to read, along with the white wooden bookshelf he'd carefully chosen in some vintage shop in Cambridge, a thoughtful gift from him. She remembered him telling her that he knew she would like it as the sole reason behind his choice.
She sighed, her gaze drifting to the notebook he had left behind months ago. He had texted her about it, asking if she had seen it, and she confirmed its safe place, nestled securely within the confines of her living room's coffee table. Tomorrow's agenda included a visit to her recently married sister's place. Her plan was simple: gather the homemade cookies Matt always loved, just in time for his arrival.
Meanwhile, his absence lingered as he went on a short trip to Canada with his brothers. A friend had called her two nights ago about seeing Matt with a woman in his arms and letting her know that the girl is somewhat familiar. The familiarity of the girl struck a chord; perhaps she was someone from their college before. Despite this revelation, she remained indifferent. The timely presence of her friend during this seemed almost too coincidental. Yet, she made a conscious decision not to confront Matt about it; after all, he was entitled to date or engage in relationships with whoever he wishes.
Their dynamic was crystal clear as the sunny skies that had once bathed the University of Massachusetts where they had agreed that their relationship is nothing more than a remarkably intimate friends with benefits. This is an understanding they had solidified long ago.
Nine hours away from her by land, Matt found himself gazing at the mesmerizing skylines of Toronto, contemplating whether to reach out to her, to check in, or ask if she had followed through with her plan of delivering the freshly planted flora to his mother, just a short 10-minute drive from her place. However, he opted against it, choosing instead to listen to Chris's friends discussion about their new clothing brand.
When he returned home, she was already calling him, asking to pick her up. The beauty of her tone wrapped around his heart, infusing it with a comforting warmth. Confirming she had indeed brought the plants, and now nestled beside their sofa, a gesture his mother had kindly embraced.
She wore a short blue drop-waist dress, a cardigan draped over her arm, her smile radiant under the sun's glow. From his vantage point in the car, Matt watched her take her time descending the small brick steps of her apartment. It had been a week since he last saw her; she had ventured off to Davis, California, to visit an aunt she hadn't seen in ages, just before his trip up north.
"Look at you," he greeted her with a grin, his eyes roaming appreciatively over her entire presence as she entered his freshly cleaned black SUV. "Is that new?"
Matt's thoughtfulness was a trait she adored about him. It was as if he had committed every book and item she owned to memory. She often reminded herself to give him credit for it one of these days. And he wasn't just thoughtful; he was undeniably sweet too. His gestures, both big and small, resonated deeply—like carving out a cute little space for her plants or surprising her with a spatula simply because he knew it would complement her assortment of black kitchenware.
"Do you like it?" Her smile gleamed, greeting him with a subtle kiss on his cheeks.
"I absolutely love it."
"Thank you. Got it from that newly opened shop down the street. A lovely grandmother was selling it—really sweet lady," she shared.
Matt chuckled at her detailed story. His smile never wavering, her perfume engulfing him wholy, the smell of lazy Sunday mornings, soft skin, and fresh linen—just the way he liked it. "You bought it because she seemed sweet?"
"Not exactly. I got it because it's your favorite color," she said casually, making him raise his eyebrows. Glancing briefly at her and then back to the road, his eyes met hers. "Oh, really?" he teased lightly.
Matt sensed her slight withdrawal at his tone, her revelation perhaps making her uncomfortable, yet it was exactly what he wanted, everything he yearned to hear, and more.
"Uh-huh," she replied, shifting her gaze out the window. "Anyway, how was Canada?"
She was good at this game; skilled at cutting the conversation off faster than you can snap your fingers.
"It was okay. Nick and Chris didn't like Tim Hortons," he chuckled at the memory of Nick's expression.
"Expected," she replied, shaking her head. "Did you see Chris's friends? What were their names again?"
"John and Sam. They seemed intrigued by Chris's new releases and ideas, so it's a good sign for him."
"Ah, that sounds promising," she agreed with a nod. Sneaking another glance at him, she ventured, "Did you meet anyone else?"
It was a simple question, yet she felt herself tiptoeing over an invisible line, feeling an odd tug at her heart as she admired him, bathed in the soft, golden glow of the setting sun.
Matt took a moment, eventually settling on a simple "No," choosing not to mention the woman that occupied his bed for a night. He didn't want to risk spoiling the moment; it already felt perfect when he saw her smiling and walking out the door earlier. He knew she would ask more if he said yes, but he also knew how awkward it would become. It would lead to an uncomfortable conversation, especially given her reluctance to delve into his intimate details with other people.
She never wanted to hear about where he learned a new position or style in bed, even though he sensed she was curious and a little bit hurt. He could feel it in the subtle withdrawal of her body between the sheets and the shift in the mood between them. Similarly, he refrained from asking about the oversized shirts, far larger than her size that he spotted one time in her laundry basket while he helped with her chores. It was not his.
They had learned to navigate this arrangement over the years smoothly. Their shenanigans with other people aren’t crazy but they both know it happens.
He missed her so much during his time in Canada, which led him to talk to the brunette at the bar. To his surprise, she was from their old school, a friend of a friend, now living up north. Everything about the encounter seemed hazy, the way that the woman talked and acted reminded him of her. She was all he could think of, day and night, night and day. It felt like ages since they had seen each other, ever since she visited California and him for Toronto.
Matt reached a breaking point with their casual arrangement. It had become too much for him especially when he saw the girl collecting her clothes on the ground that morning. That same day, after he calmed down and talked it out with Nick and Chris, he felt the urge to call her and apologize, but he couldn't pinpoint exactly what for—they were not officially together.
As he sat on the plane, heading back to Boston, he made a firm decision. He was determined to put a label on their relationship and ask her to be his girlfriend.
She nodded in response, pushing aside the ache in her heart caused by his lie. Yet, she silently thanked him for his discretion, grateful that he hadn't mentioned it—she preferred not knowing.
"Okay. Where did you say you wanted to take me again?"

🌹 Self Love Spell Bath Ritual 🌹
It's super important to make time to take care of yourself and nurture your soul. I created a simple self love bath ritual just for that! Remember, the most important aspect of any ritual is your intention and the energy you bring to it. Trust in the power of self-love and allow yourself to fully embrace the experience.
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
Rose quartz crystal (for self-love and healing)
Epsom salt (for relaxation and cleansing)
Pink candles (for love and emotional healing)
Fresh roses or rose petals (for love and beauty)
Your favorite bath oils or salts (optional)
Your intention and positive energy
Instructions:
Begin by setting the mood in your bathroom. Dim the lights, play soothing music, and create a serene atmosphere that promotes relaxation and self-care.
Fill your bathtub with warm water. As the tub is filling, add a handful of Epsom salt. Epsom salt helps to draw out toxins from your body and promotes a sense of relaxation.
Light the pink candles and place them around the bathroom. Their soft, gentle glow will create a calming and loving ambiance.
Take the rose quartz crystal in your hands and focus on your intention for the self-love bath. Visualize yourself surrounded by unconditional love and acceptance. Feel a sense of warmth and compassion emanating from the crystal.
Gently place the rose quartz crystal in the bathtub. As it comes into contact with the water, imagine its loving energy infusing the water, filling the tub with healing vibrations.
If you have fresh roses, scatter their petals on the water's surface. Alternatively, you can sprinkle dried rose petals in the bath. The roses symbolize love and beauty, further enhancing the self-love experience
Step into the bath and submerge yourself in the warm water. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing yourself to relax fully and release any tension or negative thoughts.
As you soak in the bath, meditate on self-love and self-acceptance. Repeat positive affirmations such as "I am worthy of love and happiness" or any other affirmations that resonate with you. Visualize any emotional wounds healing and being replaced with self-love and compassion.
Stay in the bath for as long as you desire, enjoying the peaceful and loving energy. You can also use this time to journal, reflect, or simply indulge in self-care activities.
When you feel ready to end the ritual, thank the rose quartz crystal and roses for their healing energy. Blow out the candles (if safe to do so) and take a moment to express gratitude for the experience.
Once you've finished your bath, drain the water, and rinse off any remaining rose petals. Take a moment to ground yourself, feeling the loving energy you've cultivated within you.

What is Protection Magic? The How-To's and Methods
Tumblr media
Protection is necessary in the world we live in as it is just a fact of life. Did you know we need spiritual protection too? Whether it be protecting yourself from negative entities, negativity, curses or someone's bad vibes you need to be able to keep your peace and personal safety. Protection magic can either be offensive, defensive or both.
We touch on a form of protective magic called warding in another post, warding is a defensive type of protection magic. You can also do baneful wards. Those are an offensive and defensive type of magical protection.
Here are some other methods of protection that you can keep on your persons or place within the home.
Spiritual
Black Salt - Great for both protection, warding and banishing. Please be careful around pets with salt as they can get sick if eaten.
Water - Holy water, blessed waters and moon water can be used in rituals, baths or in sprays.
Incense - Dragons Blood, Rue, Sage, Rosemary, Mugwort, Frankincense, Blackberry Leaves, and Pine are all great to burn for protection. Can be made into herbal sprays.
Sprays - Herbal sprays can be made to be sprayed around the home and self for protection. Be cautious with pets.
Crystals - Black obsidian, Labradorite, Tigers Eye, Selenite, and Black Tourmaline can be carried or worn for protection
Sigils - Created with protective intent.
Witches Bells - Witches bells hang on your doorknob or on your door (inside the home) for protection and banishing. When someone comes into the home it rings, banishing negative energy.
Talisman - Objects with spiritual and historical meaning for protection. Can be worn or hung around the home.
Charms - Objects enchanted with the intention of protection. Can be worn or hung around the home.
Energetic Shielding and Armor - This is a form of warding but I'd like to place it here as well. Energy shielding and armour are very much like making protections and wards around your home, they're made with the energy you manifest within yourself or if you are someone who has low energy it can be borrowed from energy sources. I go into this more in my Warding post.
Physical
Veiling - Wearing a blessed head covering will protect you from other's personal energies. It can also help you stay in tune with your own energy without being overwhelmed by that around you.
Baths/Showers - Submerging yourself in water with protective herbs and oils. You can also shower with protective herbal soaps and hang a mesh satchel with protective herbs over your shower head.
Infused spell oils - Oils infused with protective herbs can be placed over the pulse points, third eye, feet and heart area.
Makeup/Skincare - Things like foundation, concealer, serums and moisturizer can all be used with the intention of protective barriers. Same with scented lotions, perfumes and leave-in conditioners. Makeup can even be colour correspondence with protection. Drawing a sigil for protection under your foundation may aid too. This is what’s considered glamour magic. Get creative with it!
Clothing - Wear protective coloured clothing like Black.
Vocal - Prayer to deity/ancestors/guides/etc for assistance. Prayer from a holy book.
Feel free to leave your methods below!
Blessings!

I had a bot read 100,000,000 witchcraft guides! Then I asked it to produce its own! Here’s what it came up with:
Witchcraft is love, light, & salt. Do you do a witch? How much sage do you burn? Burn sage everywhere in pots and screaming pans. A witch is moss or a crystal.
Ingredients:
rosemary
quartz
tarot
a womb
candle
small knife
screaming
scott cunningham
salt
the moon
First take rosemary in your hand, then quartz on a table. Pray. Scream into tarot deck.
Loki and Hecate are too gay for you and very naughty. Are you gay or a woman? Then you are a crystal.
Rose quartz is a perfect substitute for everything, other than rosemary. Lay down in grass. Feel the vibe of your insides. The mother earth is herbal bread. Energy heal a cat familiar before posting a picture of it on Instagram. If you don’t fold a curse away from you, you will perish. Scream again. Tell a spirit it is a motherfucker, do not let it into your house.
Scott Cunningham wants you to spray salt water on your doors. Make infusions! Put salt in your water!
To cast a circle, walk around love and lightly, whisper sweet nothings to a small knife as you point it at each wall. Call out the names of your cats. Play Magic The Gathering Today!
If you can’t conjure rosemary, store bought is fine. If you say you are a witch, then you are moss or a mushroom. [Image of crystals and herbs] Have you done a cultural appropriation today? Set out your herbs and bowl, place them on the moon. Moon water is crucial for this next part. Do literally whatever you want, it doesn't matter! Feel your ovaries? That's witchcraft. If you cannot, then you are gay and not a witch, unless you are rosemary.
My grandmothers burned so that I can have crystals. The Queen of Cups is my spirit animal. [Image of trees in fog] Run through grass with your toes out. Do not step inside mushrooms, you will lose your name and a baby will be put inside your house.
Twirl your hands clockwise four times and put nails in a jar to stop bad stuff. Anoint a candle with essential oil from bath and body works.
You have now made your house safe from herbs.

Ritual Types: divination, enchanting, cleansing, dowsing, astral travel, lucid dreaming, healing, lunar magic, scrying.
MAGICK NOTES:
Introducing water magic to everyday life is the easiest of all the elements!
While making tea, imagine putting good energy/intention into it and then drink it to have a good day! Afterwards (if you have time and skills) you can feel free to do divination, using leftover tea leaves.
While taking a bath/shower in the evening, imagine the water pouring onto you to be white/light in color and the water dripping off of you to be black/greyish color. I use it to cleanse myself of all the negative energy.
Looking into mirror as a divination is a very disturbing experience for me! Like, it’s effective, it can get weird though.
Water in a spray bottle can be used for space cleansing if you don’t wanna use incense all the time. Also it’s good for the indoor plants if you have any!
Washing dishes is another ritual of mine and it’s a good way to meditate. I just get lost in thought.
If you want to practice water magic, follow moon phases and use them to your advantage!
Water magic is not necessarily only gathering water and using it, but also perfoming spells or doing anything spiritual during specific weather conditions (ex.: raining, storm, snowing, hail stones).
TYPES OF WATER USED IN SPELLS:
Moon Water - great for all kinds of spells and craft! Moon water can have different abilities, all depending on during which moon phase we charged it in. The best water is the one charged during full moon or super moon as it is the most powerful.
Sun Water - keywords: positivity, strenght, happiness, courage, good health.
Rain Water - good for cleansing, meditation and relaxation. Keywords: growth, regeneration, cleansing, rest.
River Water - good for warding or spells with a clear goal as river water has a focused energy. Keywords: movement, action, flow.
Lake/Pond Water - I find it good for connecting with nature or animals. Could be used in animal magic. Keywords: wildness, nature, hidden, isolation.
Swamp/Mud Water - good for curses, hexes, binding, wishing someone bad health. Keywords: disease, dirty work, sticky, messy.
Sea Water - good for protection, banishing and any form of spell that needs powerful but calm energy. Keywords: vastness, life, fear.
Dew Water - keywords: vulnerability, peace, refreshing, delicate, calm, waiting. Good for Fae communication or any creature that is elusive.
Storm Water - good for spells that needs a lot of power. Be warned though, it’s very different from the sea water; it’s uncontrolled, chaotic and doesn’t last long. There’s a lot of anger and destructive energy.
Ice/Snow Water - keywords: endings, change, patience, harmony, growth.
Cemetery Water - good for necromancy, of course. You can put some in a spray bottle and spray it in a room in which you want to communicate with the dead.
Well Water - keywords: wishing, domesticity, home, family, community. Could be good for communicating with spirits/creatures living near or in your house.
Fog/Mist - keywords: invisibility, mystery, hidden, blindness. Spells including ‘clouding someone’s judgement’, those in which you want to stay anonymous as much as you can or those who will slowly start working over time.
~*~FIRE~*~
Tumblr media
Direction: South. Time of the Day: Noon. Season: Summer. Colors: red, orange, yellow, gold. Sense: Sight. Cycle of Life: Youth. Instruments: string instruments (guitar, violin etc.) Plants: spices, strong-smelling, stinging or irritating the skin, resembles sun or fire, thrives in warm weather/sun/hot climate. Animals: lion, tigers, cats, lizards, foxes, snakes, scorpions, coyote. Places: hot climate, bedroom, hot springs, volcanoes, desert.
Gender: Masculine. Tarot: Wands/Torches. Zodiac: Leo, Sagittarius, Aries. Planets: Jupiter, Mars, Sun. Energy: Projective. Creative. Transformative. Crystals: red/orange/yellow/pink crystals. Mythical Beings: Dragons, Phoenix, Demons, Fire Giants, Golems, Jinns, Cyclops, Chimera, Fire Fae.
Ritual Tools: candles, lamp, sunlight, spices, ashes, metals, bones, hair/nails, firewood, matches, knives, alcohol, charcoal. Ritual Forms: cooking, baking, grilling, heating, sunbathing, having sex, intimacy, dancing, candle work, cauldron work, taking a risk, burning. Ritual Types: divination, enchanting, cleansing, protection, purification, transformation, destructive magic, banishing.
MAGICK NOTES
It’s not as easy to introduce fire to everyday life as it was with water but it’s not impossible!
The easiest thing to do is to use fire/heat in baking/cooking/grilling. For me, the fire is all about protection and destruction (sometimes cleansing but it’s cleansing by destructive force) so by using it, we get rid of all the bad stuff inside of us.
Sun is the ultimate ally to fire magic and so are stars! Sun brings us life and happiness but it also makes us sweat like pigs so, for me, it’s still cleansing by destruction. Meditation during star gazing is great and I feel like spending time with someone under starry night sky is the best thing to deepen the connection! It’s also good to just talk out loud to either a deity or a spirit guide.
I find all physical sports to be fire-related but dancing is the biggest one! Sweating, lots of energy but also fun is a great way to connect to your inner fire. Sports involving adrenaline are also fire-y.
The most common way to practice fire magick is to burn stuff. Incense, paper, bay leaves. It’s good for manifestation, protection or banishing.
In general, be careful with fire. I find the safest option is to just use candles. Down below, there’s not many examples of how to use different types in spells but I included keywords so you can decide on your own if it speaks to you or if you want to try it at all.
TYPES OF FIRE USED IN SPELLS:
Bonfire - keywords: friendship, community peace, happiness, fun.
Torch Flame/Lantern - keywords: wildness, rawness, travel, guidance, focused.
Lightning - keywords: chaos, destruction, power, fear.
Sunlight - happiness, positivity, joy, strenght, courage.
Candle Flame - generally good for everything and commonly used. The main type of fire magick.
Burning Flame - it could be small burning flame (aka candle flame) or when you take specific things (like your ex’s things) and burn them in a big pile to move on/banish them. All depends on the intention.
Match’s Flame - keywords: elusive, short-lasting, quick. Can be used in any types of spells or even divination. We light the match and wait for it to burn. If it doesn’t then the spell won’t work/the answer is no, etc. I’ll elaborate in a different post.
Grilling Fire/Heat - keywords: abundance, prosperity, survival.
Cemetery Candle Flame - necromancy again. Better to perform at a cemetery, rather than at home.
Heat - keywords: energy flow, cleansing.
~*~AIR~*~
Tumblr media
Direction: East. Time of the Day: Morning/Sunrise. Season: Spring. Colors: white, transparent, gray. Sense: Hearing. Cycle of Life: Infancy. Instruments: wind instruments (flute etc.). Plants: plants with strong aroma, plants located high, plants with pollen/heavily pollinating. Animals: birds, flying insects. Places: mountains, high buildings, schools, offices, libraries, airports, travel agencies.
Gender: Masculine. Tarot: Swords/Knives/Daggers. Zodiac: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Planets: Uranus, Venus, Mercury. Energy: Projective. Mental. Elusive. Crystals: white/clear/gray crystals. Mythical Beings: Pegasus, Gryphons, Zephyrs, Fae of Trees, Striga, Gremlins.
Ritual Tools: feathers, bells, incense, brooms, wands, fans, balloons, ribbons, wind chimes, dream catchers.  Ritual Forms: music (singing, playing instruments, creating), burning incense, listening/talking/communicating, writing, meditation, spending time outside, hanging objects, learning. Ritual Types: divination, enchanting, learning, chaos magic, storm magic.
MAGICK NOTES
Not much I can say about air magic but I’ll try my hardest.
Air is a very elusive element so there are no actual material uses.
As you can see in ‘Ritual Forms’ I listed some examples of how I see practicing air magic which is mostly through music (but also painting/drawing!). It’s all the things that require your brain and focus.
However, there are some actual spiritual option for all the folks that wants to practice air magick.
Follow atmospheric conditions and perform spells accordingly. Spend time outside and focus on the wind surrounding you.
Work with birds! There is a form of divination called crow counting.
There’s a lot of types of air divination like shuffling songs, throwing stuff, by pendulum or Nephomancy (by clouds). There’s a whole wikipedia page about that!
~*~EARTH~*~
Tumblr media
Direction: North. Time of the Day: Midnight. Season: Winter. Colors: green, brown, black. Sense: Touch. Cycle of Life: Advanced Age. Instruments: drums. Plants: all plants, mushrooms, moss. Animals: dogs, wolves, insects, cow, horse, bull. Places: forest, meadow, park, kitchen, basement, caves, canyon, mines.
Gender: Feminine. Tarot: Pentacles/Coins/Discs. Zodiac: Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo. Planets: Saturn, Venus, Mercury. Energy: Perceptive. Physical. Crystals: green/brown/black crystals. Mythical Beings: Dwarves, Fae, Dryads, Gnomes, Goblins, Trolls.
Ritual Tools: rocks, crystals, leaves, herbs, seeds, flowers, dirt, coins, food, wood, cards, books. Ritual Forms: cooking, baking, gardening, handmade stuff, walks in the nature, spending time with animals, offerings, cleaning the house/nature. Ritual Types: divination, enchanting, grounding, binding, animal magic, leaving the old behind.
MAGICK NOTES:
Practicing earth magick is really easy. It’s all about grounding, nature work, animals and using your two hands.
The most recognizable form of earth magick is kitchen and animal magick!
I find earth magic to be the most peaceful but isolated and unburdened magick of all! It minds its own business, it just want to be left alone and do whatever it does the best. It’s my favourite!
There’s not much to say because I think earth magick is pretty self-explanatory.
TYPES OF EARTH USED IN SPELLS:
Ashes - it all depends on what we burnt. Sage ashes are good for protection/cleansing, bay leaves ashes for wishing/manifesting. In case of paper ashes it depends on what we used the paper for/what was written on it.
Cemetery Dirt - necromancy again!
Regular Dirt - can be used in spell involving banishing, letting go, unbinding, manifestation.
Used Tea Leaves - if we made the intention, then the usage of the leaves depend on the intention! If not, then we might focus on the type of tea we drank. The leaves are also good for divination.
Destroyed Crystals (in small particles) - depends on the crystal!
Ashes From The Bonfire - or so called wood ashes. Can be used in spells involving cleansing/banishing/letting go/unbinding.

the less we know the better - wip
“Gale- stop for a second.” You noted a flash of concern in his eye, he knelt back down again, tilting his head in a silent question. Tears budded again, as you held your head in your hands. “I am ashamed. I can’t… I’m terrified of my own thoughts. Flashes I see the lord, in the way I see you now. He will not leave, be gentler- and diligent” you paused trying to think how to phrase it. “To possibly… take my mind off things.”
He hummed in acknowledgement, “perhaps we should establish something, and you’re sweet for saying that. I’m glad you felt safe enough to tell me.” He sat back on his haunches. “Perhaps… the shower will help? Ill leave you to finish undressing if you feel uncomfortable.” He squeezed your shoulders, kissing your forehead. “Ill depart for now then. Come join me when you feel ready.” His movements were fluid, hands drawing a sharp sigh from your lips. He left through the open doorway into the showers. His nails scratched against the doorway; your core ached immaculately. You finished off his work, the dark plum verses bright magenta robes draped against each other on the chair.
You felt oddly exposed without your enchanted spells guarding you, waddling into the cedar and teakwood showers you felt more at peace. Gale was nowhere to be seen, but a satisfied groan emanated from the bright hallway ahead. You settled down on the stool testing the water on your hand before handling the wand. The water smooth and warm against your skin. The soaps and skin serums to remove dirt and dead skin smelt herbal. Tonics infused with healing potions, an intriguing way to go about things. You scrubbed your skin until it was red and raw, you felt clean but not clean enough. You sat in the steam of the water for a moment, debating on continuing forward. You decided too, the warmth of the light and the pools beyond beckoning you forward.
The light was blinding once stepping out the hallway, plants and fauna lined the tiles surrounding the baths, a plush bed with towels and robes on top of it. a table next to it and a patterned robe with tassels. Candles, sherry and crystal goblets, candies and small sandwiches, a platter with fresh fruits and perfumes, and bottles that shone like gems. Gortash really pulled the full 9 yards. Towered over the bath, curiously was a statue of Mystra, her gaze focused on the bath itself, arms outstretched in a surrounding gesture, the sun perfectly framed around her head. It was almost reminiscent of a greenhouse. Gales head peaks between the waves of foam. He floated upwards, paddling to the side of the bath to grip the edge and prop his head in his arms.
“Feeling better?” he beamed, rose petals and violets clung to his hair, they floated on the surface of the foam. You walked towards the steps, dipping your toe in carefully. It was a wonderful temperature.
“a little.” You hum, lowering your weary limbs in the water. “it’s a little unnerving to have a statue of my partners ex staring at my naked form. I feel judged.”
“Often statues of Mystra are depicted with her eyes closed…” he swam closer to you, “I am... uncertain why this one is open, perhaps its just another god that looks similar.”
“Let us hope it’s just that.” You settled on a side edge seat, the sun a warm lazy glow on your skin, a warm and floral breeze churned the air. He almost seated himself in your lap, his head tucked into the alcove of your neck, his face a mottled pink from the hot water. His eyes laid shut; his breath warm against your chin. You leaned your head against the tile, allowing him the access to fully intwine with your limbs. You began to become drowsy, tapping his shoulder you escorted him to the bed, comfortably placed within a warm sunbeam.
You both curled up again like lizards on a hot rock. An overwhelming sense of contented sleepiness taking hold of you.
(wip from the most recent poll, im getting close to the smut itself, i cant decide between the actual bath or like a cozy napping bed on the side, as i know like... that concept sounds cozy. a bath then a nap in the same place? luxurious....)

Lupercalia(February 13 - February 15)𓁺✴𓁺
˚☽˚。⋆𓃦 ˚☽˚。⋆
Celebrated on February 15th, Lupercalia was an ancient Roman holiday honoring the God Faunus and the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus. This festival featured ceremonies and sacrifices, including a goat symbolizing fertility and a dog representing purification. Priests known as Luperci would run through the streets, lightly striking people with strips of goat skin dipped in sacrificial blood.
˚☽˚。⋆𓃦 ˚☽˚。⋆
How to celebrate Lupercalia?
Feasting: Taking part in a feast that includes items like grains, fruits, and vegetables that are connected to fertility and the early spring will help you respect the festival's customs.
Acts of Kindness: Showing compassion and generosity to others can embody the goodwill and love that are connected to Lupercalia.
Nature Activities: Considering the fertility and purifying properties of Lupercalia, outdoor activities like meditating, gardening, or helping with environmental cleanup projects could be included.
Community Gatherings: You can recreate the feeling of community that was cultivated during ancient festivals by throwing or attending gatherings with friends and family to share food, tales, and laughter.
Make love spells: Prepare a ceremony of personal purification using love magick. Create a romantic environment by lighting a candle and burning rose incense. Take a rose-petal-infused bath or meditate to concentrate on inner peace and self-love. Imagine letting go of the negative and becoming open to the plenty of love.
FIRE AND WATER IN LUPERCALIA
Fire and water played crucial roles in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, embodying themes of purification, renewal, and spiritual cleansing. In honor of the gods, bonfires were lighted to represent the removal of impurities and the chasing away of evil forces, as well as to promote fertility and abundance. Similarly, water was utilized in ritual bathing and cleansing ceremonies, allowing participants to purify themselves of negative energies and rejuvenate their spirits in preparation for the year ahead. In ancient Roman tradition, these components united to produce a holy duality that symbolized the cyclical rhythm of existence and the transformative power of ritual.

Hey, lovely witchlings! As the sun reaches its zenith and the earth is in full bloom, we come to Litha, the summer solstice, a time of abundance, vitality, and celebration. This Sabbat marks the longest day of the year and the peak of solar energy, when the sun's power is at its strongest.
A Briefing on the History: Litha, also known as Midsummer or the Summer Solstice (Northern hemisphere: June 20th or 21st; Southern hemisphere: December 20th or 21st), is a magical time when the sun reaches its zenith in the sky. It’s the longest day of the year, and the sun seems to pause, bathing the earth in its warm glow. Our ancestors celebrated this pivotal moment with fire and water, acknowledging the balance between light and darkness. Stone circles like Stonehenge were oriented to capture the rising sun on this sacred day. Early European traditions included lighting large wheels on fire and rolling them down hills into bodies of water. The Romans honored this time as sacred to Juno, goddess of women and childbirth, giving us the month of June.
History:
Ancient Roots: Litha has ancient origins and has been celebrated by various cultures and civilizations throughout history. It is often associated with sun worship and the celebration of light, fertility, and abundance.
Solar Phenomenon: Litha occurs around June 20th or 21st in the Northern Hemisphere when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, resulting in the longest day and the shortest night of the year.
Symbolism: The Summer Solstice symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, as well as the peak of growth and vitality in the natural world. It is a time of celebration, joy, and abundance.
Tumblr media
Correspondences: -> Symbolism: Life, fire, rebirth, transformation, power, purity -> Colors: Red, gold, orange, yellow, white, green, blue -> Herbs: St. John’s Wort, lavender, rose, peony, vervain, chamomile, chickweed, chicory, sunflower, lily, thyme, and more -> Crystals: Lapis, diamond, tiger’s eye, emerald, jade, and other green stones -> Animals: Butterflies, wren, horses, stags, robins, cattle, phoenixes, dragons, faeries, satyrs
Here are a few ways to honor the magic of Litha:
Rituals and Activities: - Bonfires: Light a bonfire to honor the sun’s power. - Sunrise/Sunset Greeting: Greet the sun at its highest point in the sky. - Create an Altar: Decorate it with sunflowers, oranges, and yellow candles. - Cleansing Herb Bundle: Make your own bundle for purification. - Sun Tea: Brew tea using sun-infused water. - Burn a Bay Leaf: Write intentions on a bay leaf and burn it - Fertility Ritual: Litha is a time of fertility and growth, and rituals may focus on promoting abundance, creativity, and prosperity. Some practitioners may plant seeds or perform fertility rites to symbolize the fertile energy of the Earth.
Modern Celebrations:
-> Community Gatherings: Many Wiccan and pagan communities host public rituals and gatherings to celebrate Litha, inviting people of all backgrounds to join in the festivities and honor the sun's energy. -> Altar Decorations: Altars are adorned with symbols of the sun, such as gold or yellow candles, sunflowers, citrus fruits, and solar symbols like the sun wheel or the Celtic solar cross. -> Feasting: Traditional foods associated with Litha include fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, bread, dairy products, and grilled meats. These foods celebrate the abundance of the summer harvest and nourish the body and spirit. -> Nature Walks: Taking a nature walk or spending time outdoors is a simple yet meaningful way to connect with the energy of Litha and appreciate the beauty of the natural world during the height of summer.
Tumblr media
Recipes: 1. Mead: A honey wine enjoyed by our Celtic and Norse ancestors and many to this day. It is easier to support local experts in the craft of making this than starting up a whole kit of making mead. Choose wisely. (I included a basic starter recipe for those brave enough to venture into the fermentation game. I'll stick to supporting my local businesses!) 2. Sun Tea: If you are unable to drink alcohol or prefer not to, sun tea is a great alternative or a great addition to your Litha celebration! They are called "sun tea" because it is tea brewed from the warmth of direct sunlight! If the weather is cloudy, sun tea may not be the best recipe to try. Common sense <3! 5. Sunflower Seed Pesto Pasta: Cook pasta (such as penne or fusilli) according to package instructions. In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, garlic cloves, sunflower seeds, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Toss the cooked pasta with the sunflower seed pesto, cherry tomatoes, and sliced summer squash or zucchini. Serve topped with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. 6. Summer Solstice Salad: Mix a variety of fresh greens, such as spinach, arugula, and butter lettuce. Add sliced strawberries, blueberries, and orange segments for a burst of color and sweetness. Sprinkle with toasted almonds or walnuts and crumbled goat cheese or feta cheese. Drizzle with a dressing made from olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper. 6. Grilled Vegetable Platter: Slice a selection of summer vegetables, such as bell peppers, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, and red onions. Brush the vegetables with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs (such as rosemary or thyme). Grill the vegetables until tender and lightly charred, then arrange them on a platter. Serve with a dipping sauce made from Greek yogurt, lemon zest, garlic, and fresh herbs. 7. Honey-Lavender Lemonade: In a saucepan, combine water, honey, and dried lavender buds. Heat gently until the honey is dissolved, then remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain the lavender-infused honey mixture into a pitcher and discard the lavender buds. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine. Serve the honey-lavender lemonade over ice, garnished with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices. 8. Berry Galette: Prepare a simple pie dough or use store-bought dough for the crust. Roll out the dough and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix fresh berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries) with sugar, cornstarch, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Spoon the berry mixture onto the center of the dough, leaving a border around the edges. Fold the edges of the dough over the berries, pleating as needed. Brush the edges of the dough with milk or beaten egg, then sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake the galette in a preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the berries are bubbling. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Tumblr media
Remember, Litha is a celebration of the sun’s abundance and the Earth’s fertility. Embrace the warmth, dance, and honor the cycles of life. Blessed be! 🌻🔥🌿
Note: This post is a brief overview. For more details, explore the rich traditions and make Litha your own! 🌞🌙

June is a month filled with vibrant energy, abundant blessings, and the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in the magic of this season. Here are some ways to celebrate and honor the essence of summer during the month of June:
🔥 Welcome the Solstice: On the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, create a sacred ritual to honor the sun's power and embrace the abundant energy of this season. Light a bonfire, dance in its flames, and offer gratitude for the warmth and illumination it brings.
🌸 Connect with Nature: Take advantage of the blooming beauty of the natural world during this time. Spend time outdoors, stroll through lush gardens, or embark on a nature hike to connect with the vibrant energy of the earth. Collect flowers, herbs, or seashells to infuse your practice with the essence of summer.
🍓 Harvest and Abundance: June is a bountiful month filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Visit local farmers' markets or grow your own herbs and produce to incorporate into your meals and magical concoctions. Give thanks for the abundance that nature provides and celebrate the nourishment it brings to your life.
🌻 Sun Magic: The sun is a radiant source of power and vitality. Harness its energy by performing sun salutations, practicing sun gazing, or creating a sun-infused oil to use in your rituals. Bask in the golden rays, allowing the warmth to revitalize your spirit and ignite your passions.
💦 Water Blessings: In the heat of summer, water becomes a precious gift. Seek solace near bodies of water, whether it's a lake, ocean, or a simple backyard pool. Take cleansing baths, go for a swim, or collect water from a natural source to use in your spells and rituals, invoking the element of water's healing and purifying properties.
🌺 Summer Altar: Create a vibrant summer-themed altar in your sacred space. Adorn it with flowers, seashells, feathers, and symbols of the sun to honor the season's energy. Add citrine, carnelian, or sunstone crystals to amplify the warmth, joy, and abundance of this time.

All About: Ritual/Magical Baths & Showers
Let's discuss a big topic many new witches encounter early on in their journey - how to take a ritual/magical bath. These wonderful cleansing tools are easy, effective, and are accessible to many witches. They can be utilized by witches both in the broom closet and out of it. While this post is long, it's got lots of information, especially for beginners.
The general idea of water cleansing.
What makes ritual baths so great, you may ask? Well, it's an element you immerse yourself into that is not only associated with cleansing, healing, and rejuvenation, but it is also known to get rid of any negative energy hanging around your energetic field. Another plus is that you can add things to it - oils, herbal bags, moon water, the remainder of your simmer pot, etc. You want to bring money in? Cool, add that money oil. Looking for love? Come-to-me oil. Having a rough time with your health? Healing oils and herbs in a tea bag. The opportunities are endless.
Timing (before ritual vs everyday showers)
The next question people ask is if there is a layout they must follow. And the answer is a solid no. This is your practice. All opinions will differ, and you certainly don't have to agree with mine. Do you need to do it before every ritual? No. If that's what makes you feel better, go for it. But timing and certain life events aren't a guarantee it'll happen every time you cast a spell or ritual. Now, you can also do some of these things as a part of your daily shower routine to help cleanse your energy field on days you're not as focused on magic. It's up to you, but I find many people like to do at least a visualization when it comes to the negativity quite literally going down the drain & applying their bath products.
Creating a peaceful environment.
If you're doing a ritual bath, chances are you'll want to create a relaxing atmosphere where you can focus on what's needed at the moment. Light some candles (no, you do not need to light fifty). Add some crystals around the tub, because fuck it, they look pretty and if you feel they relax you or change your vibration, why not? An aromatherapy diffuser is nice to have in the bathroom. Epsom salts help your body physically speaking to soak in and they purify you. You like relaxing music? Cool, that helps ease your thoughts and bring you into a meditative state faster.
Using your soap/body wash as a cleansing agent.
A way you can utilize your time in the shower is by using your soap as a way to cleanse the negative energy off of your body. If you wash your face in the shower, let it be representative of your emotions being purged. As the soap goes down the drain, it leaves, forever. Making your own body wash or soaps may be a nice hobby that allows you to really integrate magic into your showers. You can put thought into exactly what herbs and scents go in there, some put a quartz crystal in the center to keep it charged!
Washing your hair.
This follows a similar concept as above. Hair, in many cultures, is viewed as an extension of the nervous system, acting like an antenna to the universe. In my culture, we believe our black hair offers us protection and better intuition. It not only is a signifier for beauty when it comes to choosing a partner, but is a sign that the person is connected to the ancestors and our gods. Every culture has different context, stories, and meanings behind theirs. Some people like to use natural hair products for this reason, and you can also make your own if you want to infuse your magic into them. Getting a comb or brush made out of natural material (such as wood) can become a meditative practice. Repeating affirmations with each brush stroke about how you wish for your hair to look, such as it becoming more shiny or long, is a way to implement a routine with it and make it special. Try rinsing with moon water to get a special sheen!
Bath salts.
Bath salts are all the rage for a reason. Buy yourself some epsom salts, in a decent quantity for making medium to big sized batches. And then it's quite simple, you'll mix herbs in there! It's fun to create your own blends, just be certain that these herbs are safe for you to soak with. If you're picking these herbs yourself (and it's not from a home grown garden), check in with what the exact species is as you'd be surprised at how easily a poisonous plant looks like exactly what you are intending to grab. You can add a few drops of essential oils into the bath water before you get in, or add it to the salt blend in small quantities.
Epsom salts are amazing for muscle tension and general aches and pains. Especially if you're active in the gym and trying to speed up your recovery time. Aside from that, if you've got chronic pain they won't take it away by any means, but you may find a little relief from it and you'd be able to do a spiritual cleanse in the meantime.
Herbal tea bags.
These are something you'll see often. You also will see people dump herbs and flowers in their tub, which is aesthetically pleasing, but damn that is one mess to clean up! Easiest way to prevent that is by putting it all in a tea bag and you'll have much less to worry about when you're done, let alone herbs getting in areas you'd rather not have them in.
As far as this goes though, think of it like soaking in a giant tub of tea if you do just herbs. It's wonderful and relaxing, not to mention it smells amazing. As mentioned in the last section, make sure that you are using herbs safe for your body/skin contact. Check for allergies (you could do this with a simple hand or foot soak) to be 100% safe.
A brief note on uncrossing.
Uncrossing baths are not only wonderful ways to remove bad luck, a hex, or curse, but something that should be done once or twice a year. The length depends, but generally it's 3, 7, 9, or 13 days. I do mine 1-2x a year (twice if I detect a hex or curse) and opt for 13 days, as that is the most powerful time frame and I can be sure I've removed anything lingering. This is an entire post that needs to be written and I'll be *eventually* doing one, as I figure it deserves its own in-depth explanation.
Wait, I only have access to a shower!
I get it, genuinely. I've lived in apartments that had tubs and some that didn't. The current house I'm renting has a shower with a tub...but an automatic drain my husband and I can't find a solution for. But hey, at least we're moving soon. On the bright side, that's given me room to experiment and tell you what works.
Add a few drops of essential oil to the shower floor when taking a warm/hot one. It's aroma will carry up with the steam. Of course, there's also the solution of buying a small diffuser for the bathroom itself. Secondly if you like the whole tea bag idea, tie it to your showerhead! The heat will do the same thing. While it's not as powerful, it works. It's still something, which is better than not being able to do it at all. If you want to use epsom salts, do a foot soak. Or some people pour it over their body and head before taking the rest of their shower.
Visualizations.
Oftentimes, you'll hear of people that do meditations and visualizations to cleanse their energy field. They are very simple, which increases its popularity. Taking the pointers from above, add these tricks in. For a bath, after you are done scrubbing your body of negative energy, when it is time to drain the water visualize all of the negative energy going down the drain and no longer being a part of you. For the shower, same concept but more instantaneous. You could even do it periodically, after each step of your shower routine if you wanted.
My friends and fellow witches, I hope that this is able to help you! If you read this far thank you and I hope that you'll be able to find ways to incorpate this into your life.

Harnessing Lunar Energy: A Guide to Using Moon Water in Witchcraft
The moon, with its mysterious and captivating presence, has long held a significant role in various spiritual practices. In witchcraft, harnessing the energy of the moon is a powerful way to enhance rituals and spells. One popular method of utilizing lunar energy is through the creation and utilization of moon water. In this blog post, we will explore the enchanting world of moon water in witchcraft, discussing its creation, uses, and the benefits it brings to your magical practice.
What is Moon Water?
Moon water is simply water that has been charged with the energy of the moon. By exposing water to the moonlight, it absorbs the moon's energy, becoming infused with its mystical properties. The process involves placing a container of water outside under the moonlight, allowing it to absorb the lunar energy throughout the night.
Creating Moon Water
Select the right container: Choose a glass or a vessel made of a natural material such as ceramic or crystal. Avoid using plastic or metal containers, as they may interfere with the energy transfer.
Choose the right moon phase: Different moon phases carry varying energies. Each phase has its unique qualities, such as the new moon for new beginnings, the full moon for amplification, or specific zodiac moons for specific intentions. Select the phase that aligns with your purpose.
Set your intention: Before placing the container outside, hold it in your hands and set your intention. Visualize the water being infused with the energy of the moon and the specific qualities you wish to imbue it with.
Leave it under moonlight: Find a suitable outdoor space where the moonlight can directly touch the water. Leave the container overnight, allowing the water to absorb the moon's energy. Retrieve it in the morning.
Using Moon Water
Ritual cleansing: Moon water can be used to cleanse your sacred space, tools, or crystals. Sprinkle or lightly mist moon water around your space or use it to wipe down objects to clear away stagnant or negative energy.
Enhancing spellwork: Incorporate moon water into spellwork or rituals to infuse your intentions with lunar energy. Use it to anoint candles, mix with herbs or oils, or add it to ritual baths to amplify the energy and potency of your spells.
Meditation and spiritual practices: Moon water can be used in meditation or as a focal point for intention-setting and manifestation. Place a few drops on your third eye or pulse points to enhance your connection to the moon's energy during your spiritual practices.
Charging objects: Immerse crystals, talismans, or ritual tools in moon water to recharge and cleanse their energy. Allow them to soak overnight or for a specific duration, depending on their needs.
Benefits of Moon Water
Amplification of intention: Moon water enhances the power of your intentions, making your spells and rituals more potent.
Emotional and energetic cleansing: Moon water carries a purifying energy that can help release emotional blockages and cleanse stagnant energy from your space and aura.
Connection to lunar cycles: Working with moon water enables you to align your practice with the phases of the moon, utilizing the specific energies of each phase to support your intentions.
Deepened intuition and spiritual growth: Regular use of moon water can enhance your intuition and spiritual connection, aiding in your personal and magical development.
Conclusion
Moon water is a beautiful and versatile tool in witchcraft, allowing practitioners to harness the energy of the moon in their rituals and spells. By infusing water with lunar energy and intention, you tap into the profound forces of the cosmos. Incorporate moon water into your practice and embrace the transformative power it brings, as you deepen your connection to the moon.
