Hey, sorry to bother you, but if you feel like crying, you should let yourself. It might feel a little better afterward, letting off some steam. I wish you the best, as much as that means coming from an anon
Yeah, I might've just buried myself in my writing instead, it was surprisingly productive xD Thanks anon, I appreciate your message, you're very sweet <3

Crying feels good. It's a good way to feel and then come to terms (Is listening to a song that I can't come to terms with)

I think my favorite thing about the human body and psyche is just when something super emotional happens some people just cry.
The best news of your life just got delivered? You cry.
Lost someone you love? You cry.
You're doubled over laughing? You're crying too.
You're extremely passionate about something? You cry.
You're doing your best to win an argument even though you're a little scared? You cry.
Crying isn't weakness, it's normal. When I learned to embrace my tears as a function as natural as laughing, yawning, or even breathing I've slowly come to recognize my emotions easier as an emotionally stunted individual.
Crying is just the body's response to shit it can't deal with otherwise and I think the funniest part about it, is that tears are just excess mucus.
The body is just like "Oh what the fuck! I'm about to produce so much mucus!" when anything happens.
Embrace your tears no matter what situation you're in. Crying is good. Crying is cool. Not crying doesn't make you tougher. It makes you lack an important part of the human experience.
I used to think I was so cool and tough for not crying all the time when now I almost cried over a drawing I just did because I liked it. I cry all the time now and I'm actually in a better space mentally than when I wasn't crying.
So, did your day suck today? Go cry about it. Seriously, crying is cool and you'll feel better emotionally even if you feel a little gross physically. It happens.
Crying is dope.

Went to go feed and snuggle with Ollie at our normal time and when I checked her bed I remembered
Moved the bed (moved it to another part of room still with catnip banana but not where I expect to see her)
And then my husband and I cried some more

Crying is like throwing up. You feel awful before hand, but so so relieved after. It’s a shame that it’s so hard to cry.

Sitting here watching s2xe5 and it’s the scene where Crowley is asking Aziraphale why his French is so bad and he says “I went to Monsieur Rossignol’s night classes in 1760”.
I decided to Google if this was a real person since the name wasn’t familiar to me, and instead I had my giant gay heart stomped on by Neil Gaiman once again.
The French word for nightingale: Rossignol
It’s the language of romance and Aziraphale took night classes with a Mr. Nightingale. I CAN’T BREATHE.

I really love the way they have written Sally and Percy’s relationship in the show. Sally being the mom of a neurodivergent kid and feeling like shes constantly failing. Her being isolated because she doesnt have anyone to talk to about this as a single parent. And she makes mistakes, she feels human. Then we have Percy feeling like a burden to his parent. He cant understand why none of his parents want him around even though its for his wellbeing. It’s so heartbreaking but so real.

Imagine how hurtful it must have been for Crowley to see Gabriel, the person who literally took an active part in the process of traumatising the man he loves into the mindset that he cannot be happy and free, get a happy ending. To see the man, who was one of the reasons Aziraphale haven't even acknowledged their relationship for such a long time, because they were on "opposite sides". The man who was one of the reasons they couldn't be together, even as friends, for 6000 years. The man who wanted to execute Aziraphale with a smile on his face and "shut your stupid mouth and die already" as his "goodbye". Seeing this man getting what Crowley has always dreamt of: being able to run away with the person he loves, leave Heaven and Hell behind and just be together with his beloved - in Soho or on Alpha Centauri, literally wherever, because "Heaven is wherever Beelzebub is". Crowley seeing Gabriel get it so... so effortlessly, while he has worked for it so long, nearly died because of it and still haven't been able to get that, to get the happy ending and sever all the connections with Heaven and Hell. It must have hurt like hell (most literally).

Edit: I see a ton of answers saying "torture porn" and some asking why I didn't add it. Torture porn isn't a subgenre of horror. Every single horror film that yall describe as torture porn falls into an actual subgenre (usually slasher/splatter or body horror, though there are exceptions). Torture porn was a term made to describe the rise in realistic brutality in horror in the early 2000s. If you don't like the brutality or gore in horror, that's fine. But that's not a subgenre. Every single one of these could be incredibly gorey and brutal, as well as can be the opposite of that. Torture porn is not a subgenre in itself

no but you do not understand we collectively spent YEARS heartbroken over donna! and doctor never ever got over losing her! and now they are together, and they have chosen each other for family, and donna's family has warmth enough for him, and they are happy and having dinners, and 14th is casually sneaking his niece away on adventure while making sure not to tell donna because she would obliterate him and IT'S OKAY THEY'RE CHOSEN SIBLINGS IT'S WHAT THEY FUCKING DO.
listen. LISTEN.
donna's every day was taken away from her.
the doctor has been running every day ever since.
and now they get to spend time together. not a brief trip in a tardis. not a reunion before parting forever. but every. day. every day, one after the other. and they are finally home.

remembering the time I tried to explain what good omens was to my art teacher when I animated crowley for my final project and when I said "the Bible but make it gay fanfic between the serpent of eden and guardian of the apple tree", this man perked up and said he would watch it immediately. it was a chill class where everyone just kind of worked with their headphones on and this guy just sat at his desk watching good omens for the rest of class.
a week later it somehow came up in conversation that he had finished the show. when I asked him what he thought he just went quiet then said "... you didn't warn me and I cried an embarrassing amount."
yeah dude thats normal over here welcome to the cult.
edit: I forgot the best part! this was at a fairly conservative, small catholic school with at most 200 kids from preschool to eighth grade. and the fact that he got that excited at the mention of Bible fanfic in this catholic school makes me so happy to think of.
