A nice headcanon for once, in the early days of tma, if a statement or investigation ever hit too close to home, or just got too much for someone, Martin would give them a comfort cow to hold onto if wanted, started out as a bit of a funny joke of Martin not knowing what to do and randomly asking "do you want to hold the cow?" Now has been lovingly nicknamed "the comfort cow" since no one could agree on a name for them

Batcows and millionaires

Of all the things he could do on a Wednesday night, Danny didn't think he'd be following the last wishes of a ghost cow but life takes its twists and turns.

With Wulf's help and a lot of persuasion he managed to translate what the spirit was trying to tell him, apparently "Batcow" wasn't meant to be a ghost, but neither did she wish to leave her former owner alone.

She was worried about him, how he would take it, and refused to leave until the Ghost King himself promised to take care of Damian and let him know she was in a better place. Again, Danny could have refused her request, but he thought about Cujo, he thought about how he followed him everywhere, about the time the GIW captured him and almost killed him, and he understood a little, so he agreed.

So, the Ghost King ended up in the back of a mansion (of course the owner had to be a millionaire, damn it, couldn't he be a farmer?), watching Damian Wayne stare at the barn with melancholy. Danny noticed his hands were shaking.

With a sigh, the halfa landed beside him, wondering how he might approach the subject. He obviously hadn't expected a sword on his shoulder but hey, he'd initiated conversations in worse ways.

Hhhh…hucow reader being a new cow belle at the farm, and Tengen, Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma really take a liking to you! The girls love you, when you’re sent back to the stables every night they want to come with you, sleep with you for the night. Uzui wouldn’t be allowed, because bulls and belles are to remain separated, but he’s a mated ‘pair’ with the three girls, and they have their own separate abode.

Reader starts her heat much too early and it riles everyone up, all the animals of the farm in fact. The farm hands are scrambling to calm them, and in the commotion have neglected checking on the uzui’s barn, and when they finally do, the girls are visibly distressed. But their bull is missing….

Fearing the worst, the farmhands rush to your stables, where they’d evacuated everyone from earlier that morning. The girls follow, knowing exactly what’s up. They were so distressed because they wanted to see you! They wanted to get to love on you too but it was better for Tengen to sneak out alone. But they love what they see

Tengen, holding you up, full nelson and pounding into you roughly, so roughly his balls slap your plush mound. Gosh. I feel for you. Sympathetic high five. I also had a decade long queer journey starting my senior year of high school. While I've since let that side of me depart because, among other things, I realized it wasn't giving me satisfaction nor improving my own life, I will forever feel a full and overflowing heart to everyone who is stuck in this situation with religious institutions' poor outlets to safely question, analyze, and think for themselves.

It's extremely uncomfortable having a foot in two worlds where each side is condescending and antagonistic about the other. You can't get all your questions, help, and emotional needs met either place because both may hold strong negative thoughts against what's inside you. I know for many of us it can feel scary, isolating, intimidating, painful, turmoiling, with no answers or help in sight.

Given your context, I think you may be interested to know that Moral Orel is a show with attention to queerness. There are multiple main explicitly queer characters, each with their own way of handling the juxtaposition between their sexuality and their relationship to the church. Now: there are absolutely jokes where the homosexual characters sorta get the butt, in line with the show's black humor, especially at the start. I won't say anything more because that'd get into minor spoilers, but there is far more nuanced and heartful stuff, too, and there is no point in which queer characters are treated as any morally different or distinct than anyone else in Moralton. I could talk a long time about how interesting Moral Orel's treatment of queer topics is. There's lots to process.

Regarding Moral Orel, I do want to clarify to anyone following the conversation: I wouldn't recommend this show to everyone. In fact, personally, there are more people I wouldn't recommend it to among my irl and url friends. I think it's a masterpiece and I hope others will be able to draw to the show and love it. (I'm already rewatching and I NEVER re-binge a show immediately upon finishing!) But I want to be upfront many will be uncomfortable with how the show centers on and portrays religion. And even if that doesn't bother, the show's black humor pulls no punches and will target anything and everything. I see the fandom get angry when it's compared to South Park, but analogously to South Park, a person shouldn't watch it if they're gonna get offended over that stuff. And if anyone needs answers to questions like, "Does the dog die?" Moral Orel is a show to check on that, either for its jest or serious moments.

so i was keeping an eye out for anyone discussing the carbon fiber since structurally that seems like such a bad decision (but i am not a boat engineer). (i should make it clear, my impression from the one composites class i took is if you don't have an EXTREMELY SPECIFIC AND GOOD reason to be using carbon fiber, it's probably just an Expensive Material Rich Buyer Tax.) found this thread with a little more info about why the hull was composites:

what happened? well when carbon fiber fails it doesn't graciously deform, it just goes straight critical failure. why you would ever think there would be time to ascend AT ALL at ANY SORT OF SUPERHUMAN DEPTH WHATSOEVER is beyond me. (because he kept firing his engineers who disagreed with him, is the real answer. but.) (not that, like, a deformable material wouldn't also immediately cut right into critical failure at that depth; but you might have a little more time to go from sensing a potential problem to death by implosion. or possibly more reusability, idk.)
