i would disagree about dream being fully deplatformed. he definitely hasn’t been hitting the heights he used to, but he still gets millions of views. other ccs like niki and bella poarch still go to his concerts, people who have spoken up in support of him and piggy backed off his success are still popular and being included (see: bbh being on the qsmp, george being in karl’s latest thing). he’s in the process of being deplatformed but hes not there yet.

(also. i looked at his posted videos to see if he’d been doing worse and one of them is him dueling a techno cosplayer from like five months ago and it makes me kind of sick.)

Yeah, I wouldn't say he's fully deplatformed either. It's very possible he'll never get there - 30million is just such a big platform to kill dead. And there are people in the world who just don't care that he's a terrible person.

Still a year ago, I think people were genuinely afraid he'd be able to ignore the allegations entirely, that they'd get swept under the rug and Dream would continue making content and it would get ignored just like so many other things got ignored. That all the other CCs would keep making content with him and pretend they didn't exist. Maybe they even wouldn't know about them.

But people do know. The word has gotten around and the evidence has piled up. Dream fans can't just ignore it. The general feeling on Dream on the internet is that he is a terrible person who is most likely a groomer - this isn't something that only a small group of MCYT fans say that gets generally ignored. Only the most casual fans on youtube might be unaware and they are at least a big distance away from the content creator.

Like don't get me wrong. I know his platform isn't dead. But I also think he's lost so much respect and so much of his platform and part of the reason he still draws so much attention is because he attracts so much controversy which is so enthralling to spitewatch.

(And agreed it makes me so uncomfortable how Dream has used Technoblade since his death. He really is so incredibly disrespectful and I hate that continued association.)

haha, I've just done sad trombone babycrimes here; so lets talk about warlord satine.

Warlord satine came out of a post @ahsoka-in-a-hood made a while back about how satine is treated by fandom re:being a republic puppet instead of, like, someone whose introductory arc is about telling the republic to keep the fuck out and step the fuck off; we then ended up riffing about how, like, if satine's going to be a villain, she's not going to be a republic sell out, she's going to look at the bombed out shell of mandalore and go 🤔🦋 is this a good approach to foreign policy?

the outline document for it is titled 'satine curbstomp diplomacy', just for like. vibes. of what's going on.

When she's sixteen, Satine spends a year trying not to get murdered in the streets.

She learns a lot over that year; how to hide, how to stitch up a wound with an actual needle like something out of the history books, how to strip the bark off a psthia tree and wash it until it made something that was almost half as good as bacta, if you squinted and were more than half cut at the time.

How to pass messages and how to trade in information and how to handle a lightsaber, even if she'd never, ever be as good as even the youngest force sensitive.

She also learns how to wage a war; what the point of a war is, even if her teacher is unknowing. Obi-wan thinks he's empathising, as if his experience of a planet not his own can ever hope to match the experience of growing up in a society cracking at the seams, seething and cannibalising itself for want of another option. He shows her how to give another option. He'd hate it, she's sure, knowing that the current state of the galaxy could be laid squarely at his feet; she's keeping that particular little fact holstered until she needs it most.

Sorry if it's already been asked but why did you pick Game and Pipes as names for your OCs and what are the in-universe reasons they choose these names too ?

I have a very long list of like... 200 names that I use as a clone name generator. Either by asking for random numbers, or just scrolling through it. I had a few I was playing around with and I thought Game and Pipes sounded good together, and they got added to the character profiles I had for Fox's kids to be.

In universe, Game got her name because she would always say "I'm game!" when one of her batch mates asked if she wanted to do something. Someone made a "Hi Game, I'm CT-6834" joke, and it stuck.

Pipes banged his head on some pipes and had a major bruise, and his batch mates teased him about it forever. It was a sort of penis shaped bruise, right on his forehead, and it was very unfortunate. But also, very funny.

Lucky his name didn't become Penis Face to be honest.

what would you say your top ten doctor who episodes are?

Hi!

You should first know that I'm a massive 10th Doctor fan. I started watched the show while s2 was airing and I watched every episode live. (I continued watching live to the end of s8.) I've seen every episode of the RTD era multiple times and me and my sisters would frequently rewatch old episodes together. So my favourite episodes are all from this era because that's where all the wonderful memories are, even if there are episodes that I know are higher quality.

Good question! If we're talking stories/characters, I've had a story that I've been developing (badly) for years now, it's a set of two connected stories called The Hallowsend Papers (working title atm, I'm not settled yet) and they're still tumbling around in the back of my brain

Short and simple! I do a slight description of what it is or I do the first letter of whatever I'm drawing. For my cryptober series I use d for day and then whatever the day number is.

10) Favorite piece of clothing to draw

Damn hard question, I don't like drawing fabric just yet ngl. OH! Jabot. Or simply button up shirts, they're always fun

21) Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

Anything with harsh shadows and dramatic lighting, like Julia Lepetit. That heavy use of black and white is so impressive, especially when they use black backgrounds to make everything stand out.

And also anything cartoony! Particularly Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall, love their styles so much

Haunted City

Danny could admit that pretending to be a "regular ghost" was pretty fun. He could hide in one place and scare people who were waiting for an open door and a creepy laugh.

Honestly, Danny could do a lot more than that, the ghosts people believed in were nothing like the ones he knew. He wondered if there were simply different types of ghosts, or supernatural creatures; it was quite likely, considering that the ghosts of the Realms weren't even of the same dimension so it wasn't a fair comparison.

Anyway, the halfa had spent a couple of days "haunting" Gotham. The place was too leggy and they needed a little excitement in their lives. Of course, this led to some rumors about a spirit suffering or something similar, he didn't really care.

The "heroes" of Gotham didn't seem to share his opinion, going through all the places that had been "attacked" (they were just jokes) and looking for some explanation before calling Justice League Dark, Danny had fun scaring them a little in the process.

But he wasn't too interested in being exorcised, banished or whatever they did with rebel ghosts, so he settled on a mansion that was too big for its few inhabitants. Scaring billionaires was almost therapeutic, although the butler didn't seem too impressed by his (minimal) efforts.

i agree with the last dream ask except for the thing about BBH. BBH has been on YouTube for over 10 years and has had his own community for a very long time. yes he got more popular from dsmp but he didnt create him. BBH is his own person and he got on the qsmp because he is genuinely good friends with a lot of the people on there. Hell he knew cellbit before dsmp and they played together.

Yes, Bad actually helped Dream gain popularity in the early days.

Like everyone who was on the DSMP he obviously experienced a massive spike in growth.

I don't really follow Bad closely myself so I don't have any strong opinions on him. (Aside from his defending Dream which is obviously not a terrible look even though I understand they are old friends.)

Would you ever...write songfic?

song fic as in fic with lyrics in it? no. hard no, did my time on ff.net and LJ, I have seen it pulled off well one (1) time and otherwise I tend to find it...very awkward to read, honestly -- when it's not just straight up janky formatting it's usually sort of jarring to have chunks of prose intercut with lyrics that, like, I heard on the radio on the way to work. Songfic as in fic kind of prompted by a song? lol been there, done that, by some definitions the paths we used to roam is one bc it sort of grew out of the 'dying to be born again'/'don't say I didn't love enough' refrain, which felt so very perfectly obi-wan (in a time loop) it all kind of snowballed from there.

You sighed and walked into Paige’s apartment tiredly. exhausted from the numerous hours spent practicing with your teammates.

With All Star Worlds right around the corner, you had been at the gym practicing with your team almost every day.

Leaving you fatigue and eager to go home and be held in Paige’s warm embrace. Desperate to listen to her voice as you fell asleep in her arms.

Throwing your cheer practice bag on the floor by the entrance, you shut the door and walked further into the apartment. The sound of footsteps coming from the hallway seconds after the door had closed

Immediately coming from around the corner to greet you, it seemed as if the blonde had been waiting impatiently for your arrival.

A grin on her face as her hand trailed down to your waist, pulling you in for a passionate kiss. Paige finally felt at peace, having you in her embrace after going all day without seeing you.

“Hi baby, how was cheer practice?” She asked, her hand remaining on your waist as she smiled ear to ear.

“It was so exhausting” She began, the blondes eyes focused on you — giving you all of her attention. “Coach lectured us about how we can’t lack energy on stage like we do at practice.”

Paige laughed, a wide grin on her face. “You know, I could totally be a competitive cheerleader. if i wanted to” She spoke confidently “Just without the flips n’ shit, that’s way out of my category”

The blonde often times begged you to teach her your routines. Determined to learn them no matter how complicated they were.

Always having you seated on the living room couch, showcasing the steps you taught her proudly. Even daring to showcase and teach her teammates the steps as well.

Deeming herself as your Biggest Fan, which you never doubted whatsoever. The girl always showed up at your competitions and always helped you get ready. Explaining that she wouldn’t optionally miss any of them for the world.

Even when her games fell on the day of your competitions, Paige would always facetime you and watch as you got get ready through the screen. Wishing you luck and having a bouquet of flowers waiting when you returned home.

“Keep it up and Coach might just make you my replacement.” You laughed at your girlfriend, walking past her and making your way to the bedroom — looking through dresser drawers for a pair of pajamas.

“Oh! are we taking a shower?” Paige asked, her attention drifting away from the cheer topic as she watched you lay out the pajamas. Consisting of her hoodie and a pair of pajama shorts.

Walking over to the dresser as well, the blonde began picking out new pajamas to put on. Despite knowing she had showered less than an hour ago.

“No, I’m taking a shower — you already showered” You told Paige, walking into the bathroom. The girl trailing behind you like a lost puppy in disbelief.

“That is not fair! Another shower won’t hurt anyone!” Paige exclaimed, walking into the bathroom with you as she sat on the bathroom countertop.

“I’m hot and sweaty, i’ll be out soon” You promised your girlfriend, placing a kiss on her cheek as you turned the shower temperature on cold.

“I can cool you off better than the shower can.” She muttered beneath her breath, rolling her eyes as she exited the bathroom.

▏cheer comp day !

“Paige! I said high ponytail, not low ponytail!” You exclaimed, taking the elastic out of your hair as you looked back at your girlfriend who stood behind you. Holding the look of a stressed and confused mom.

“Well I don’t even do my own hair, you do!” Paige spoke as she opened safari, googling what a high ponytail looked like.

Acting as if she had never seen the hairstyle in her life. Forgetting the fact you had to wear one during nearly every competition.

Hair products, makeup and a wide array of other items laid out on the stand connected to the mirror. You watched as Paige sprayed unnecessary amounts of hairspray on your hair. Setting the phone down as she started the style over.

“Okay wait, I remember this now!” Paige exclaimed as she brushed your hair upwards. You slowly beginning to wish you’d hadn’t agreed to her doing you hair.

The blonde spent the entire car ride pleading to help you get ready, specifically asking to help do your hair and watch you do the required makeup.

Unable to say no, you eventually gave into the girl’s pleads. Allowing her to mess with your hair until she successfully pulled it into tight high ponytail. “Got it!” She beamed, grabbing the navy blue bow that was covered with sparkles. Placing it front and center as it normally was.

Quickly doing a light face of makeup with the help of your girlfriend, Paige gave you the occasional time check — letting you know how much longer you had until it was time to preform.

When it came down to competitions, Paige acted like an over the top cheer mom. Always making sure to be on time and making sure everything was going the way it was supposed to.

Making sure all your bags were packed the night before and even loading them into the car that same night. The blonde didn’t mess around when it came to cheer competitions. Always making sure there was no room for anything to go wrong.

Standing up in your shimmery, navy blue cheer costume with the word ‘Uconn’ engraved in a cursive font on the front. Paige embraced you one last time before you had to preform.

“I love you, and you’re gonna do so well” She smiled, wrapping her arms around your waist as she whispered the words of affection to you. Wanting to make sure you carried her support during the performance.

“I love you too. And you’re gonna be in the audience watching, right?” You questioned out of nervousness, looking up at her as you broke the hug.

“I always am and always will be” Paige reassured, watching as your other teammates made their way out of the dressing room.

You smiled at the girl and nodded, hurrying behind the others. Thinking about how lucky you were to have Paige in your life.

Her being someone who brought nothing but positive memories, treating you like a piece of fine china and always offering unconditional support.

Always showing up whenever you needed her the most, and being the first person you always spotted in the audience — cheering at the top of her lungs.

It was safe to say that Paige Bueckers really was your Number One fan.
