When the Hat labels her daring, she thinks of standing up to Severus's daddy when he broke his son's nose right in front of her. When the Hat suggests that she'll fit in well in Gryffindor, Lily almost laughs. "Put me in Slytherin," she tells it, "or I'll set you on fire."

His dark eyes.
Tom Riddle x reader, might delete.
Part 2
warning: obsession, angsty, mentions of death, tom being up for no good. tom being tom basically. short.
'The perfect couple' you were told by your classmates and even teachers when you walked down the halls.
Tom and you had started dating three months ago, three months ago when you declared your love to him and he with an expressionless face told you to date. At that moment, you were very happy, feeling like it was the best day of your life. You were sure many girls wished that they were you.
Before that, you looked at him from a distance, wondering why he stood out among the others. Little by little you realized that his presence invaded your senses, clouded your vision, and innumerable thoughts about him blocked your normal ideas.
The moment he said yes, you got really excited. He was beautiful, with those almost black eyes that looked at you intensely, with black hair that was styled in a very elegant way, and with an intelligence superior to the others.
You still remembered the first month of the relationship, those vacations he spent at Hogwarts since he didn't want to go back to that orphanage where he grew up. You convinced your parents to go on holiday to England alone, after all you went there every summer, and what better time to be with your boyfriend than on holiday.
In the afternoon you found a way to enter his room without some nosy coming, you sat on his bed while he was sitting studying some things. He had many papers on the desk, all neatly arranged by category. He hadn't even flinched at your presence, as if he was something routine. You got up from the bed and proceeded to approach him.
“What are you doing studying? It's the holidays, there are no subjects to study.” You put your hands on his shoulders.
“There is always something to study, wisdom is eternal.” he muttered, as if the words coming out of his mouth were normal for boys still going to Hogwarts. You tried to talk to him a few more times, and each time he found an excuse to answer you curtly but calmly.
You were like this all month, until he confronted you near the ladies' room.
“Look, I'll tell you a few things and I want you to listen carefully. I don't have time for you all the time.” Silence. Silence is what there was when he whispered those words to you.
You waited for that to be all, but he continued. “I don't want you there all the time, either. I thought it would be enough for me to say that I was your boyfriend and to talk to you. But no, it doesn't seem to be enough. This alliance suits us both. You, because you want to be with me and me, because it keeps the professor distracted, who thinks I don't feel anything. So, tell me once and for all if you want to continue.” You were paralysed, until you let your heart win, and you decided that yes, you were going to continue. “I'm surprised you don't cry. At least that's a change.” Yes, you too were surprised that you didn't cry. You had the feeling of crying the whole day, wondering how to hold back the tears and make the words come out.
Tom never specified which teacher thought he didn't feel anything, but after dating him for three months, you came to the conclusion that that professor, whoever they were, was right, Tom doesn't feel.
Now you walked with him through the halls, letting his henchmen (whom he called friends in front of the others, or well, they claimed to be his friends) were a few steps away from you. You didn't talk to Tom. The both of you exchanged the odd word from time to time, just to avoid suspicion.
You used to be unable to keep your feelings, but now you have your hiding place. Behind Tom's back, you had started dating Simon Buxton, from Gryffindor. At first, you avoided Simon since he was always giving you hints that he wanted to be with you.
You were afraid that Tom would find out and do something to you, which was not a surprise. Sometimes at night you would find Tom reading things that were not correct, things about sacrifices.
But after a while, you realized that Tom really wasn't interested in you or your life. So you started sneaking out with Simon, that's what you were headed for right now, you walked away from Tom telling him you were going to find your friends, he kissed you on the forehead and let you go. The other girls around made cute sounds, telling you that you were very lucky, you ignored them.
In a short time you arrived at your hiding place with Simon, that place where they saw each other when they didn't want to be seen, that is, always. You found him already waiting for you a few steps beyond his hiding place, without waiting for him, he pounced on you.
He started kissing you and touching every part of your robe, you tried to stop him, since they weren't in the hideout yet. Without you realizing it, someone else entered the scene. It was Abraxas Malfoy.
He saw you and Simon, and he only needed to see them to go out and report the event to Tom. You continued kissing with Simon, you didn't know what was waiting for you.
-
You made it to the room after all your classes, thank Merlin that Simon released you minutes after you told him to stop.
You started to open the door of the room when you realized that it was already open, you went in anyway, thinking that it had only been your mistake. Freaking out when you see Tom, standing up, staring at you in the middle of your room.
“Tom, what are you doing here? Or rather, how did you get in?” You knew the answer to that last question, what you wondered was why he was there.
He completely ignored your two questions, “Do you know what would have happened if it hadn't been Abraxas who saw Simon and you kissing? Total chaos, they'd be out there saying that the perfect couple isn't so perfect. Do you know how it makes me look?” So that's what it was about, how it makes him look.
“I'll be more careful next time.”
“You are funny.” He looked at you with a serious face, he didn't find a hint of humour in it. “It won't happen again because you won't see Simon any more, that disgusting blood traitor.”
“Don't call him that! Besides, if I'm careful, no one is going to find out and no one is going to ruin your oh so precious reputation.”
“It's not just that, darling.” You didn't know why, but that flattery felt full of poison. “You are mine” he came closer to you as he spoke, “You are mine from the moment you first looked at me. I remember your face when I told you that I would be your boyfriend. You looked so excited.” he'd say with fake preoccupation as he touched your face, and for some reason you couldn't bring yourself to remove it, “It doesn't deserve to see that.” His face changed from fake shock to looking completely serious, the more you looked at him, the emptier his black eyes looked.
“Simon pleases me, he listens to me and understands me. He does everything you don't. I think you should find another girl for this.” You said with teary eyes.
“I don't want another girl, I want you!” He grabbed your shoulders and slammed you against the door, a few steps behind you. “And I have you, and I won't let you go. Ever. Do you hear me? Ever.”
----
You ate your food while you listened to the other girls talk about how tragic the news about Simon were. He had been missing since the day Tom threatened you.
Since that, Tom has wanted to sneak into your room to bite your neck while you cry over Simon at night, taunting you with small whispers, “Are you still crying over the traitor? Mm, too bad, I think you should stop thinking about him, he's not coming back” as his hands encircle your entire body.
At that moment you realize that the professor was wrong, Tom does feel something, the problem it's that it isn't love.

Knights of Walpurgis is such an interesting concept to me because I imagine them to be nothing like Death Eaters.
I like to think of the Knights of Walpurgis as not Lord Voldemort’s first followers but as Tom Riddle’s only friends.
To me they are Slytherin boys in Tom’s year: Malfoy, Lestrange, Mulciber, Avery, Rosier, Nott & Riddle.
They first became acquaintances and then quickly became friends– and only agreed to be called Knights of Walpurgis because they thought their group lacked an aesthetic name.
They were a warm knit of Slytherins and Tom basked in their presence. They were his friends and his family and there was a time– before killing curses and tattered bits of soul– when Tom Riddle was truly happy.

Why Do the Lestranges Hate the Malfoys
Lestrange Family Headcannon story
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images: Christen Lestrange, Marilyn Fawley, Abraxas Malfoy - full(er) character portrait post here
Bellatrix and Narcissa are sisters and get on pretty well with each other, generally pureblood families seem to be good together, but the Lestranges hate the Malfoys. Why? there is a lot of tension between Bellatrix and Lucius somehow, what's the reason?
Thing is it's not something stemming from Bellatrix. Rather something she picked up from her husband. Rodolphus though? Rodolphus dislikes Lucius strongly and confidently
Also not born directly in Rodolphus however, this tension between families is among other things inherited from the parents. The real beginning of unpleasant relations started with two men - Abraxas Malfoy and Christen Lestrange - and a young lady named Marilyn Fawley
Lord Christen Lestrange was an heir to a very rich family, one of the noblest and most respected families of the wizarding Britain at the time, highly respected member of Wizengamot
Lord Lestrange lived to his early forties unmarried - just did not see the necessity to be wed early, chose to focus on his career
Marilyn Fawley, niece of Hector Fawley, former Minister of Magic, was 21 years Christen's junior. She first caught his eye on the ball of the spring equinox in March 1949 at the Rookwood family mansion
Soon Marilyn, a beautiful and talented young witch, enchanted the strict respected Lord Lestrange - he attempted to court her, talk to her, amuse her, not a single party that both of them attended ended without Christen Lestrange leading her to dance at least once
Whilst Christen was enamoured Marilyn was slightly terrified because as soon as she realised he wasn't just being nice, but actually flirting and trying to court her, she instantly remembered all the stories of strict and gloomy Lord Lestrange and got scared he may wish to marry her - and if any of his dark and strict reputation was true being stuck in a marriage with him would be a living hell for her
So naturally she put as much effort as possible into trying to avoid Lestrange and stay politely neutral to any of his approaches. While she didn't find him completely disagreeable and sometimes was even flattered by his flirting, she was terrified that if she openly accepted it her family would make her marry him if just for his high status
That is where Abraxas Malfoy appeared on the scene. Ten years younger than Lestrange, confident in his charm, arrogant (honestly, Lucius is the light version compared to his father), but with a good fortune and benefits of his family's reputation supporting him
Abraxas flirted with Marilyn, charmed her in, though mostly, she accepted it all not out of interest in him, but rather oblivious to how serious his courtship was getting, preoccupied with the problem of avoiding Lord Lestrange and overthinking her attitude to his intentions
Then Christen Lestrange was gone for a month to attend to his affairs in France and when he returned the gossip of "Abraxas Malfoy is about to propose to Marilyn Fawley" was all in the air. Needless to say he did not feel pleasant hearing about it. When he was leaving for Paris, he was beginning to feel like he was getting through to Marilyn, so the rumours troubled him a bit
It was 8th of December 1949, when all three of them met on one venue, first time since Lestrange was gone and the rumours started rising. The Black family were holding a ball, it was Cygnus' birthday
Abraxas and Christen sat across from each other at the dining table, Marilyn, sat further away from them, did not even register how the argument started - it was something to do with current Wizengamot's affairs. The matter of conversation was not really important: Abraxas let out a few nonchalant highly opinionated comments on the conservatism of the Ministry which as usual rose annoyance in all the older male members of the conversation, but what was surprising - received an unusually strict response from Lord Lestrange
That was new. Abraxas was used to expose pretence nihilism to push everybody's buttons and show off his boldness, but this was the first time anyone seriously brought him down to earth. It was surprising Lord Lestrange chose this moment out of all to let his disdain for Malfoy's behavior show. A couple meaningful looks were thrown across the table by the witnesses of the disagreement
No raised voices, no open conflicts, just annoyed tension that one could practically cut with a butterknife. The incident slipped off as if nothing happened, the conversation continued.
When dinner was finished and it was time for dance, Abraxas took Marilyn's hand and led her away to the center of the room, before Christen was able to approach her
During the dance Abraxas said something - Marilyn wouldn't later or remember what exactly it was, all she remembered was a feeling: cold that washed over her at his words, his anger hitting her so strong she was almost stepped away from him mid-dance. And then he added-
"That stuck up idiot seems to be infatuated by you, huh, the great wise Christen Lestrange stupid enough to think people like him and not his money and status. But that's alright. He's not staying afloat and respected for much longer anyways, if you ask me. Times are changing."
That was of course not thought through, personal and angry, spat out just to say something, for Abraxas' precious ego upon being scratched brought out his lowest side, but still
Marilyn felt immediately uneasy, his anger seeping through to her. She turned away to look aside and exactly that probably was the moment of truth for her
She met eyes with Christen Lestrange. He was standing by the wall, watching them dance intently. Marilyn saw hurt - not offence, but hurt - in his gaze. Hurt that she would choose Malfoy over him
And that was frankly the turning point. She found him on the balcony after the dance. For the first time willing to talk. He told her about his trip. It didn't really matter what they talked about, what mattered was that for the first time in a very long while Marilyn felt that she was making a conscious decision - and a right one at that. She was going to let herself like him and see where it leads.
By Christmas Marilyn had grown warmer to him. By February Christen was openly courting her. In April they were engaged, and in October 1950 she officially became Lady Marilyn Lestrange. Their first child, Rodolphus, was born only a year later, in November 1951
Since that one December evening Marilyn never danced with Abraxas Malfoy again. What happened between the three in 1949 had two interpretations: to many seemed Christen Lestrange stole Malfoy's bride-to-be, whilst others thought Malfoy tried to steal Marilyn from under Lestrange's nose and failed dramatically
Despite the fact that Malfoy married Leticia Rosier just two years later and the importance of the whole affair for the families would seem to have faded, it left a strong and unpleasant aftertaste, spurred on by the rumours that kept floating around. Christen and Abraxas were as cold to each other as etiquette would allow it, Marilyn and Leticia despite inherently liking each other couldn't get very close and the children, growing up and seeing the relationship between their fathers, well... you've seen how Draco treated Ron. Self explanatory.

do not make him ‘go away’ | tom riddle
Tumblr media
pairing: tom riddle x hufflepuff!reader
genre: literally just fluff and comedy (bc i love turning dark morally grey character into soft babies), superrrr self indulgent, not beta read.
word count: 4.6K
originally posted on wattpad: a while back lol
"i got knocked off my feet not amnesia."
the corner of his lips perked up at her comment, such a small motion that she almost didn't notice.
"i'll keep that in mind." and then, with a disappointed look thrown at malfoy, riddle asked her, "is he bothering you?"
"kind of," she answered slowly, not trusting where this conversation would go. "why?"
riddle ignored her question, opting on following up with his own instead, "do you want me to get rid of him for you?"
or the trope simply the trope of grumpy reluctant boyfriend and bubbly/fun girlfriend.
Tumblr media
she had always loved defense against the dark arts. don't get her wrong, the classes and lessons were always great. professor thea was good at her job, teaching them both the theoretical and physical studies that is needed from the subject.
but now, as she landed flat on her butt, she hated the subject more than she could ever imagine. malfoy was a terrible dueling partner, taking every possible chance to knock her off her feet.
"do you want me to go easy on you badger?" he asked tauntingly, towering over her.
she looked up at him —half expecting for him to offer a hand but he only smirked at her. "you're a dick."
"i sure am." he only watched her struggle with amusement.
there was a scoff from besides him and within a split second he was being nudged over. replacing him was the head boy, leaning down to look at her with furrowed eyebrows. he offered her a hand; one which she took and lifted herself up.
she muttered a quick thanks, not sparing him a look whilst she busied herself with wiping soot off of her clothes. looking back up, she found him gazing at her.
"what's your name?" he asked after a minute, watching her with skepticism.
"[name]?" she replied, unsure. he knew her name, surely he did, they had partnered up during sixth year for a potions project and he can't have forgotten it in the span of one year could he? "i thought you already knew that."
"i did." riddle pursed his lips, nodding to himself. "i just wanted to make sure you knew your name."
she scoffed, giving him a dirty look.
"why?"
riddle ignored her question, opting on following up with his own instead, "do you want me to get rid of him for you?"
if it were anyone else she would've laughed it off as a joke but tom riddle has this ominous thing about him, one that put you slightly on edge, making it seem as though he would actually follow through with his threat.
so —as annoying as malfoy was, she told him. "no." and then, slightly terrified that she would wake up tomorrow with the news that abraxas malfoy had mysteriously gone missing, she added as a precaution, "don't kill him."
she wasn't sure if she was joking or genuinely scared that riddle would do it for her sake. no matter how much he would deny it, to her —he seemed like a feminist, never failing to hand detentions out to male students who mistreated girls. so killing his cult follower for a woman wouldn't be far from how she characterized of him.
"not unless i'm dying then you can kill him."
it was barely a month later when the same occurrence happened; malfoy was her dueling partner once more, malfoy shot her a spell at her that had her landing on the floor, malfoy mocking her for apparently being a 'weak' dueler, riddle pushing him over and offering her a helping hand.
asking her, "can i kill him now?"
to which she replied, without fail. "no."
riddle gave her a dissatisfied look but kept his hands off of malfoy nonetheless, respecting her request.
why he listened to what she said, she couldn't answer.
not until he asked her to call him tom (or maybe something else a significant other would use), not until tom asked to be her boyfriend, not until tom reluctantly agreed to trail after her on a trip to hogsmeade with her friends.
it seems as though tom could never say no to her.
"are you ready?" she asked, peeking her head inside of his dormitory's door.
tom whipped his head around from where he stood in front of his mirror, looking less than excited to be going out today. "yes."
"great," she tried to stop herself from squealing, pushing the door open so she could approach his side. "i can't wait for you to meet them, they think i'm lying to them about you."
tom fully turned himself to face her, giving her a once over and taking in how she looked.
pretty.
as always.
he felt something flutter in his chest, pride for having her? excitement in finally going to honey dukes after hearing so much about it? the hope of being able to convince her to let him make malfoy go away? love?
no it can't be. he was conceived after a love potion, he can't love. feeling slightly frustrated with himself, tom grumbled, "stop looking at me like that."
she furrowed her brows, curious by what he meant. "like what?"
"like you have feelings for me."
"tom," she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose out of irritation. "i'm literally your girlfriend, i'm supposed to have feelings for you."
tom blinked. her telling him that she was his girlfriend shouldn't have felt as good as he did. what the fuck is wrong with him. defeatedly, he muttered, "i'm breaking up with you."
"yeah sure you are."
•••
"so how long have you been going out?" rae asked, acting oblivious as if [name] hadn't told her every single detail about their relationship.
she smiled, nudging for tom to answer.
tom took a deep breath. a response that rae was silently hoping for after hearing about just how grumpy and moody tom was from her friend. trying to tease him without doing so much as saying anything provoking.
he then smiled, turning on his charms in order to converse. "five months and thirteen days."
trying to get under her boyfriend's skin, [name] frowned, feigning confusion. "five months?"
"yes." tom cleared his throat, glaring at her. "and thirteen days."
"is that right?" rae questioned, trying to irk him. "[name] told me you've only been together for three months."
the slytherin turned to her, his face showing offense. "you did?"
"i love the weather this morning," she said instead, trying to distract him.
yet tom was persistent, he knew they were having a laugh, he wasn't daft, but it certainly didn't feel good to hear rae say what she said. "did you?"
"merlin isn't it crowded today?" she ignored him, looking out the carriage's window as it pulled to halt. she opened the door, landing on solid ground before looking back to where she was sat. with a tilt of her head, she signaled for them to exit as well. "what are you waiting for?"
tom sulked as he got off the carriage, a small pout on his lips. "are you going to answer me?"
she looked down the streets, seeing it packed with people from left to right before turning to him, letting her hand find his and interlocking it. "no."
tom felt a urge to pull his hand away, not used to PDA but it felt so right, so right that he went against his better judgement and mumbled something so stupid he mentally facepalmed himself. "why are you touching me?"
she only giggled in response, noting the confuse tone he had instead of being vexed by his words. "so i wouldn't lose you. you can't expect me to keep track of you with this many people around, can you? i can't lose my boyfriend."
not when he was a dark wizard who was constantly reminded that killing people is a morally wrong thing to do. "what if you start finding people to join your little fan club?"
having to tell him to not use the basilisk for salazar slytherin's quote-unquote unfinished business was hard enough for her to handle, let alone telling forty —maybe even fifty others, that it was a wrong action to take.
maybe it was her 'i can fix him' mentality but in all honesty, tom has been behaving way better ever since they'd gotten together then aragog has all year. and yes, she knew it was wrong to compare a human to an acromantula but when the said human was conceived under a love potion and has no real concept of what love is.
if he was as good as a spider, he was good to go.
"you say that like i'm evil," tom murmured, barely audible due to the loud chatter hogsmeade provided.
"you're not?" she countered incredulously. "didn't you say you wanted horcruxes despite knowing what it takes to make one?"
"yeah but . . ." he trailed off, finding himself at a loss of a word. "i didn't end up making one, idiot."
what an endearing nickname. "that doesn't make it any better, tom. you still thought about it."
"but i didn't make it."
•••
being head boy brought tom gossip. whether he cared for it or not, it always follows him. he had heard every rumors there was, knowing them thoroughly from start to finish. tom never bothered to care about them, not until he found himself becoming friends with a group of girl who would talk their heads of about anything.
with a "come in!" from his girlfriend, tom opened the door to her dorm room. he shut it behind him, eyes roaming around to try and find her. finally his eyes landed on where she sat by her desk, head low, crouching over a long strip of parchment.
"walburga and orion are betrothed." he stated, standing by her side.
"what?" rae screamed before she could, power walking out of the bathroom with her tooth brush in hand. "the blacks?"
"who else," tom said with a roll of his eyes.
that caught her attention, she turned to him, curiosity written all over her face. "aren't they cousins?"
"they're pure-bloods, inbreeding is in their genes," came octavia, [name]'s dormmate and friend who was nicer than rae would ever be. then, with a look of distaste, she added, "how could they force an engagement on orion? he's literally a fifth year while walburga graduated last year. it's disgusting."
"well," rae snickered, "what else would we expect from the black family?"
"i also caught macmillan and weasley are snogging on my rounds today," tom said, sitting down on his girlfriend's bed. "asked me to keep it a secret but there's only so much to be kept in the chamber."
rae chortled, hand covering her mouth. "you know, in my native language they would call you ប្រុសមាត់ក្តួយ (pronounced pros-moit-kdouy)."
[name]'s brow knitted along with tom's, narrowing their eyes at rae. "what does that mean?"
rae only giggled, sitting up on her bed with octavia listening it. "it technically means 'a man who can't keep his mouth shut about drama' in khmer but the literal translation is a guy with a vagina for a mouth."
"what the fuck." tom muttered, eyes wide. the three girls in the room bursted out laughing, that must've been the first time they'd ever hear him curse. "why would you call me that?"
"because you are," rae countered.
"i'm not!" he argued, "you just called me a labia."
"she never called you a labia," came [name] from his side, "you called yourself that."
"i-" tom paused, unable to tell if he himself was angry, annoyed, amused or disgusted by their conversation. "i don't like you guys anymore."
"you're welcome to leave any time you want," rae quipped, gesturing towards the door. "or find new friends."
octavia changed the topic, done with their bantering and told them about a story with a guy she'd met. apparently they'd been going out for a total of three months, keeping it a secret, before he cheated on her.
she was mad at him but he made it seem as if it was her fault; telling her that what she heard was true but he couldn't stop about thinking them. and he knows that she's been there a few time as well, insinuating that octavia could ever do something as wrong as cheating.
there was a look tom shot his girlfriend when octavia finished recalling everything that happened between her and chris marsh.
[name] sighed, knowing why exactly he gave her the look and shook her head. "no."
"but-"
"no buts," she interrupted, pinching the bridge of her nose with frustration, "you cannot kill him. we talked about this tom."
"i know but he's hurting her," he pointed out, "and she's your friend so. . ."
"tom please," she pleaded, "no killing is justifiable unless one of us in danger with actual death."
"promise me i won't wake up to find out that marsh is missing."
"i promise that you won't wake up to find out that marsh is missing," said tom defeatedly.
•••
tom looked ridiculously stupid, he knew that. he sighs, feeling rae smearing wet paint on his face. the things he did for his girlfriend.
if you were to go back in time to tell tom riddle that he would be sitting on a chair getting his face painted black and yellow for a quidditch game, he'd think you were having a laugh and cast a killing curse at you.
but now, being told repeatedly to, "stay still you pesky snake" by his girlfriend's friend as she watched the two of them interact without the smallest hint of jealousy, tom —he would never ever in a million years admit this— couldn't be happier.
there was such a soft domestically about it, him getting along with her friend without the urge to kill rae or for rae to kill him, knowing that they were friends who just liked to threatened one another was more than anything tom could ask for.
he felt good, despite the uncomfortableness that came with donning a different set of colors. he (surprisingly) didn't care that he wasn't dressed in green in silver, being more than happy to be supporting her.
after finally being let go by rae; tom stood up, facing his girlfriend. with a tilt to his head, he asked her, "i thought i could be very persuasive until i met you."
"never thought i'd be going to quidditch game, let alone support another house." his eyes then glanced to a mirror that stood besides her, taking in his own appearance. salazar, rae must be taking the piss, he looked like a clown. eyes shifting back to her, he asked tiredly, "are you happy now?"
"i am if you are," she responded, taking a step towards him."i'm not," tom grumbled truthfully, not hiding a single ounce of annoyance. she shrugged, smiling. "that's too bad, i take back what i said. i'm happy now."
the three made their way out of her dorm and into the hufflepuff's common room to meet up with octavia. tom eyes quickly roamed the room, surprised by how many of the students who were spending their time there was from another house.
from his quick scan, tom had managed to count a total of five slytherins. three of which who were visibly miserable, face painted yellow with their friend or significant other beaming besides them. and the other two, being the ones who were forcing face paint onto their ravenclaw and gryffindor friends.
no matter how much time he'd spent welcomed in the hufflepuff common room. tom would never understand how they could be so comfortable with letting anyone enter whenever they pleased. that would not flow well with the slytherins.
up the great hall they went, passing the grand entrance before leaving the castle entirely and making their way to the quidditch pitch.
with a kiss on tom's cheek, an action that had his eyes widening and face flushed red, she bid him, rae, and octavia a goodbye before making her way into the changing room.
rae led the way towards the stands, fighting with tom about where the appropriate seat for him would be.
"no not in the slytherin section," rae argued, trying to find the best place for their group of three. "how could you be the head boy and be so stupid?"
"you're sitting in the hufflepuff row where your girlfriend would be looking for support from," she said with a tone of obviousness, finally settling down at a place she found best suited for the three of them. "honestly."
the match ended quickly, she'd had spotted the snitch within the first thirty minutes of the game before she started her pursuit and caught it in the next four minutes.
gryffindor lost by a hundred and ten points and without consciously knowing it, tom found himself cheering loudly for her, his voice was overpowered by rae but it was the thoughts that count.
there was a flash from his side, he turned, finding octavia giggling with a polaroid in hand. she wordlessly offered it to him. tom took it, curious as what he would find on it.
the picture developed bit by bit, revealing tom in frozen cheerful state, eyes bright as he watched the scene before him, his forehead was yellow, his mouth gaping with its corner tipping upwards. behind him was rae, on her feet with her hands pressed against the railing, frantically screaming at something the picture couldn't fully depict.
"you're not keeping it." octavia told him. "it's for [name]."
octavia then slipped a hand into her pocket, picking out a new picture and handed it to him. "you can have this though."
inspecting it, tom found a picture of himself frowning on his girlfriend's bed. she sat besides him, laughing as if her life depended on it, her head was thrown back, a hand clutching onto her stomach.
tom pocketed the picture, smiling to himself. "when did you take this?"
"when she told you to not make marsh 'go away'."
•••
graduation came and tom was quick to ask her to move in with him. she was skeptical at first, reasoning with him that neither of them had jobs that provided enough for them to have a financially stable home, but that idea was shot down when tom told her that the ministry had already reached out to him.
offering him a job that would let them live a comfortable life. they moved in together shortly after, finding a small cottage that looked perfect for the two.
she was able to turn her hobbies into a job, making her more than just happy. by 1950, tom —with all his slytherin ambitions— found his way to the top, earning the position of minister of magic.
it was late when tom came home, having to run over a last-minute case that malfoy presented him. he shrugged his coat off, trying to be quiet as to not wake his (still) girlfriend up. tom found his way into their bedroom where he found the en-suite door wide opened, he walked forward trying to take peek.
inside was her stood in front of the mirror, taking off her make up with a cotton pad when she spotted him, her eyes shifted to him for a second before turning back to herself. "how was work?"
"it was good," he answered, tugging at his tie. and then he furrowed his brows, lip tugged underneath his teeth. quietly, he muttered, "let's get married."
she blinked rapidly, not believing her own ears, she whipped around with a small noise of confusion, facing him. "what did you say?"
"let's get married," he repeated casually, finally getting his tie off. "are you proposing to me?" she asked him."yes." he nodded. "i thought that was clear."
"so yes or no?"
the wedding took place two years later, with it being repeatedly postponed due to tom's work but it was perfect nonetheless. they had friends and coworkers (that they actually liked) at the ceremony. rae teased tom endlessly, not once giving him a break for taking so long to propose.
in 1959, octavia invited them to dinner at her house, her and husband having an announcement for them all to hear. but before she got to the good part, octavia told her about some of the not-so-good news.
her husband, dawn, was recently bitten by a werewolf. he was having a hard time experiencing the transitions during the full moon so they had a request for them.
now here comes the good news along with her favor: octavia was pregnant, she was four weeks long and since it was only her and dawn.
she will be needing help.
"that's all?" rae asked, frowning. isn't it already implied that rae, her, and tom would all help her when she'd gotten herself knocked up? "you know you needn't ask right? i will be spoiling that child rotten."
octavia smiled, feeling relief. why did she even feel nervous in the first place? these were her friends, the same ones who collectively bullied every man she's ever broken up with. they will always have her back. "that's all."
and then she added, "i just thought it might be a burden to you guys. it's just- it will be hard since dawn would have to recover from the full moon and i'd have to work, so i need people who i can trust to babysit the kid sometimes."
"you could never be a burden," [name] said, "not when i can be the cool aunt."
"oh please," rae let out a loud cackle, "you would never be the cool aunt. that's me."
octavia gave birth on november, 3rd, 1959 to a lovely girl named clementine calla azure. the same day that the blacks welcomed their first son, sirius orion black. rae (would lie if you ever pointed this out to her) was ecstatic when clementine turned out cuter than the black's son did.
she, liked she had stated months prior, spoiled the child to death. buying it everything it could possibly want, babysitting it every time octavia even looked like she needed help.
octavia —instead of using the time to relax, spent her time creating a wolfsbane potion. making the potion was a tedious process but she had more than enough time from tom changing clementine's diaper because he, despite being forced, had promised that he would also help with her baby.
rae was an author who made enough for herself to live lavishly. apparently, muggles really love the story about a dark wizard trying to kill a little kid for his chance to be immortal.
"so," rae clapped with clementine prompted on her hip. tom, dawn, octavia and [name] were all scattered around the living room, sitting down and listening to rae as she stood. "you're probably wondering why i called you all over."
there were noises of confirmation before rae started up again. "i've been doing some research lately and there's more people who has been involuntary bitten than you would think. basically what i'm saying is that tom —since you're the god of magic or whatever— needs to draw up a new bill where werewolves would be known by the ministry and themselves only so the ministry can provide help."
"werewolves tend to have a hard time finding work and keeping the job since they would have to recover every full moon and miss work days. the potion octavia created is going to be recorded in the history book, we know that, but something else that should be recorded in history is how the lovely tom riddle —who i definitely like and doesn't want to have a one v one with— made a law or whatever, where if a werewolf is legally signed in with the ministry, they get a wolfsbane potion provided by the ministry by owl every month."
"they're extremely costly rae, and they take a ridiculous amount of time to make." dawn was quick to point out the flaw, understanding this topic more than anyone else in the room. "not to mention how there's millions of people like me out there, we won't be able to get them to everybody."
"tom is like the zeus of magic," rae said, slightly irritated that they didn't just agree right of the bat. "if he just created a lab and put twenty of the best witches and wizards in there with large pots and get it brewing, they can make it work. and as for the products needed, there's always herbologists that needs work —not trying to stereotype but most of them are hufflepuffs, they would take the chance to help without even thinking twice."
"it will work, trust me," rae said, almost pleading, "what do you say, riddle?"
the law, or bill, or whatever it was, was put into place shortly after. werewolves were scared and skeptical at first, always having been labeled as monsters until eventually people started piling in for help and they were given what they needed. octavia loved her new job at the ministry for it meant she could be helping out her husband and everyone like him whilst also having the freedom to invent whatever else she wanted.
"tavia brought clementine to work today," tom stated, making his way into their library. "so i've been thinking."
"oh no," she muttered, dropping her book onto her lap, "you never have good thoughts after seeing clementine."
tom tilted his head slightly, narrowing his eyes. "what do you mean?"
"last time you saw her, you decided that it was a good idea to have your basilisk follow after her when she grows up so she'd never get hurt," she answered, looking up at him as he stood before her.
tom shrugged. "i don't see any flaws in that plan, if anything i think it's the best thing for clementine."
"how can you be the minister of magic and be an absolute dumbass?" she laughed, feeling his hand reach down to rest on her cheek.
"because, i'm not," he said easily, eyes focused on hers, "and believe it or not i actually have a brilliant idea that you might actually like for once."
"alright," she muttered, amusing him, "what is it?"
"i think clementine should have a cousin."
"clementine already has a cousin—"
"that's not what i meant, idiot," tom cut her off, a small smile etching on his lips, "you know exactly what i'm trying to say. don't play dumb, pet."
"i actually don't know what you meant," she said matter-of-factly, feigning innocent, "please explain."
tom sighed. "i want us to try for a baby."
"i thought you hated kids."
"i do," he agreed, "but i also know that i wouldn't hate them if they were ours."

Thoughts on Voldermort/Lucius?
thank you very much for the ask, anon!
i back it entirely - indeed, i have a wee bit of lucimort lurking in the wips folder - because it's got the potential to be such a mess.
by which i mean, lucius is clearly one of voldemort's favourite death eaters during the first war - and certainly his favourite from the interconnected elite male social group which makes up the majority of his minions [bellatrix and snape - his other favourites - are exceptions in terms of gender and social class respectively, and they depend more on voldemort's goodwill for their status among the other death eaters to be maintained than someone like lucius would.]
he is implied in canon to be a major source of new recruits for the dark lord - the prince's tale [and the adult snape's relationship with him] suggests that he was the conduit through which snape was recruited, and a plausible case can also be made that he was the person who first introduced voldemort to regulus [although i prefer to imagine that this was bellatrix].
he is also widely known to have been a death eater, which suggests that he took some sort of public-facing role in voldemort's operation - likely one which traded on his social standing and political and financial influence. i find he's often written in first-war fics as reasonably cautious in terms of his public image - less likely to openly indicate his allegiance than characters like rodolphus lestrange - but i think it's always worth emphasising that nobody, even people on the anti-dumbledore side, buys the story that he was under the imperius curse. that he gets off because of his wealth and influence is an open secret - and cornelius fudge says this out loud at the end of goblet of fire:
“Malfoy was cleared!” said Fudge, visibly affronted. “A very old family - donations to excellent causes - ”
all of which means we can suppose that - prior to his downfall in 1981 - lucius was extremely important to voldemort.
and we can also imagine that voldemort was fond of him - and, indeed, we can prove this, since he tells us in deathly hallows that this fondness for lucius made him weak:
To tell Snape why the boy might return would be foolish, of course; it had been a grave mistake to trust Bellatrix and Malfoy: Didn’t their stupidity and carelessness prove how unwise it was ever to trust?
voldemort is - of course - referring here to the fact that he gave lucius a horcrux to look after. this is an intimacy in and of itself - and it's striking that, of the only two horcruxes he places in a death eater's care, one is given to a woman whose relationship to him is canonically something more than master and servant. that lucius receives the other allows us to suggest the same thing - that his relationship with voldemort was also an intimate one.
but lucius receiving the diary actually suggests an even closer relationship between him and voldemort than that between voldemort and bellatrix - since the diary is evidence of the dark lord's pre-voldemort life.
i'm always struck in order of the phoenix that lucius doesn't bat an eyelid when harry taunts the death eaters waiting for him in the department of mysteries with the fact that voldemort's a half-blood - whereas bellatrix is deeply offended by the suggestion. this is proof - i think - that he knows the truth about [or, at least, understands a reasonably accurate account of] voldemort's origins, and i think we can also assume, given his access to the diary, that this must include voldemort's birth name.
[and - while i think that we're supposed to assume that abraxas malfoy was a death eater and that he's probably a similar age to voldemort, and while i really like the idea that the diary is initially given to abraxas - this would still be the case even if abraxas and voldemort had never set eyes upon each other.]
we know from canon that voldemort is generally extremely cagy about his early life, but that he is nonetheless prepared to reveal certain things about it with people he profoundly trusts - which is why barty crouch jr., for example, knows that he was named after his father. the depth of information about him which lucius is implied by the text to possess can therefore very easily be used to write an intimate relationship between them during the 1970s which sincerely matters to voldemort.
which lucius then utterly destroys.
it's clear from goblet of fire onwards that voldemort is generally furious with the death eaters who pretended to have been under the imperius curse after his disappearance - and that he isn't happy at all about being forced to take these men back into the fold, lest he have no core supporters.
but it's also clear that he's furious at lucius specifically for his failure to come and find him:
“Lucius, my slippery friend,” he whispered, halting before him. “I am told that you have not renounced the old ways, though to the world you present a respectable face. You are still ready to take the lead in a spot of Muggle-torture, I believe? Yet you never tried to find me, Lucius... Your exploits at the Quidditch World Cup were fun, I daresay... but might not your energies have been better directed toward finding and aiding your master?” “My Lord, I was constantly on the alert,” came Lucius Malfoy’s voice swiftly from beneath the hood. “Had there been any sign from you, any whisper of your whereabouts, I would have been at your side immediately, nothing could have prevented me - ” “And yet you ran from my Mark, when a faithful Death Eater sent it into the sky last summer?” said Voldemort lazily, and Mr. Malfoy stopped talking abruptly. “Yes, I know all about that, Lucius... You have disappointed me... I expect more faithful service in the future.”
and voldemort's shattered trust in lucius manifests itself almost at once. while lucius still seems to be favoured by him for most of order of the phoenix, we actually get hints that voldemort sets his tumble down the rankings into motion well before the debacle in the hall of prophecy.
snape tells sirius that lucius malfoy recognises him in padfoot form not only because he enjoys humiliating him, but because he feels safe to do so - evidently, he knows that, even if voldemort was made aware of him revealing this information [harry's standing right there!], the dark lord wouldn't regard it as something he was saying to try and help sirius [and, therefore, evidence that his loyalty to the order is worth investigating] but something he was saying primarily to insult lucius ["you're so careless that even this fucking idiot recognised you."].
similarly, while lucius is evidently the person in charge of the operation in the department of mysteries, it's also clear that bellatrix is there to - to some extent - keep an eye on him.
but most significantly, the information which is most useful to voldemort during order of the phoenix - that harry would do anything to protect sirius - comes to voldemort via narcissa [the person kreacher goes to when sirius orders him out of grimmauld place]. this is a precursor to something the dark lord goes on to do a lot over the course of half-blood prince and deathly hallows - circumvent lucius and use narcissa [and draco] as tools to humiliate [and, specifically, emasculate] him.
the vitriol which voldemort directs towards lucius far exceeds that directed towards any other death eater, even those - yaxley, the carrows, snape - who got off their charges post-1981 by pretending to have renounced him, and those - travers, the lestrange brothers, dolohov - who were captured in the department of mysteries. and his rage can absolutely be written as having been caused by lucius - for whom he felt something and who he assumed reciprocated those feelings - revealing that the whole thing actually meant much less to him.
which gives us some absolutely banging premises for fics.
maybe lucius ends up with voldemort in the first war because abraxas pimps him out - mary and george style - to try and secure the dark lord's favour. maybe his canonical tension with bellatrix is because voldemort plays them off against one another for his physical affections. maybe lucius tries to fuck his way back into voldemort's good books post-resurrection, but finds the dark lord considerably less amenable to this than he was hoping. maybe voldemort's punishment of draco for the sins of his father ends up having a sexual element.
and maybe there's a bit - one languid summer in the late seventies - when it's actually quite sweet. blondes do, after all, have more fun.

From what I can tell, in the actual books there's just one line from Sirius saying Alphard left him some gold, and not much other canon mention of him. How did Alphard become such a big character in your fics/Tom Riddle's love interest?
You know, that's a very good question.
The true and full story behind how Alphard Black became an important character in our fics is laden with a lot of spoilers and back-and-forth, though I will say it wouldn't have happened at all if @theoriginalcarnivorousmuffin hadn't already used him in When Harry Met Tom. When we later then needed to add a character for The Man Who Would Be King, Alphard's name lent itself easily and on discussion we found he was the only that really fit the role we needed a character to play. He went on to become a surprisingly large part of secret fic, now we've imprinted on him like baby ducks and he's in everything.
So, what makes Alphard Black so fitting for what we need him to be?
We have little to go on from canon, but compared to some of the other characters fandom has decided on characterisation for, we at least have something to go on when we make stuff up. Oh, we have to conjecture, fabricate, and headcanon away, and for every possible Alphard Black we draft up someone could have used those same clues to create a different Alphard, but we would both be following certain constraints.
By contrast, characters like Alice Longbottom or Abraxas Malfoy have very strong fanon characterizations, a lot read into them, but I'd argue we have just as much, if not slightly more, to go on with Alphard Black.
With that said, here is the information we have on Alphard and how Muffin and I used every bit of it to make up as much as we could.
Teen pregnancy 1.0: Pollux edition
Alphard's sister was born when their father Pollux Black was twelve, and his father married her mother. Going by his young age, I assume this was so Walburga wouldn't be a bastard. Walburga, by her painting's ravings, appears to have spent all her life in 13 Grimmauld Place, she feels a connection to "the house of my fathers" and always had a strong sense of Black identity she tried to pass on to her sons: I think it's a very fair assumption that the Blacks raised the baby, and not her mother's family (as her mother would have been in Hogwarts as well or else a statutory rapist, either case spells a grim homelife for Walburga).
Now, Alphard's birthdate is unknown since he's struck off the family tree, but it was sometime between 1925 and 1938.
Muffin and I have decided that he was born the next year, since this gives Tom a dorm mate, and more importantly it gives Alphard a teen father, one who learned nothing from last year and assumed no responsibility. Tom now has a fucked up dorm mate, and we didn't have to (completely) invent a character.
You now have two kids raised by family members not their parents since their father is a literal thirteen-year-old, and the generational age gap is so narrow that when Walburga starts school her paternal aunt Dorea is canonically a fifth year. They want for nothing materially and the family does step up, but the complete parental absence in their life has an impact.
For the sake of funny, we thought Arcturus Black, who is already raising Lucretia and Orion, is our candidate for raising his cousin's spawn. Now Walburga's marriage to her second cousin is to someone who was raised alongside her, which is funny and so awful. Another feasible candidate is Cygnus Black, Pollux's father and currently raising four kids, but... not as funny.
Teen pregnancy 2.0: Cygnus edition
Cut to 1951. Alphard is a happy bachelor, his father has stopped having kids (legitimate ones anyhow), Walburga's happily married to their cousin, and then... their brother Cygnus does a booboo.
Bellatrix is born, Cygnus is thirteen. Andromeda's birthdate is unknown, but must have been while he was in Hogwarts because Narcissa is born in 1955, while he is still seventeen.
The same problem as with Pollux arises with Bellatrix: who wants baby? And, as with Walburga, I think a fair argument could be made that the Blacks took her in, not the Rosiers.
There are many options here (and can't rule out the Rosiers), but I think it's fair to assume Bellatrix went to live with close family.
Per the Black family, this gives us three options that I find feasible: Walburga, Alphard, and Pollux.
I don't think it was Walburga, I think that would inevitably have come up in canon, either as Walburga lost her shit when Andromeda eloped, handled her grief differently after Regulus died if she had surrogate daughters, or Sirius had a different dynamic with Bellatrix. The Orion-Walburga-Sirius-Regulus family unit doesn't come across at all as having had three nieces raised alongside the boys, so Walburga's a no.
Which leaves us with Alphard, Pollux, someone in the Rosier family, or extended Black family raising Bellatrix.
Pollux, per his wild youth, might not be topping the lists. One could posit that Pollux wants a second shot at parenting and would take in his granddaughter based on this, but he already has Cygnus if he wanted a second shot at parenting. Still, he's a candidate.
So is Alphard, however, who is living alone and has no wife to worry about, no children of his own, and a pile of gold. Per his choice to give Sirius gold after he ran away, one can also assume he's one to come through for family, which fits with taking in his much younger brother's daughter.
TL;DR: we can't prove Alphard Black didn't raise the Black sisters, or at least care for them in their early years, but someone must have and it might as well have been him.
Let there be no pregnancies and no marriages
We then enter the bit that had Muffin go "oh, gay. I will use him in my fic" long before any of the detective nonsense to come up with the above, which is that Alphard did not marry. Now, that could mean anything, perfectly straight people don't marry and gay people do marry.
However, from 1938 through 1960, no Black heirs are born. Which isn't necessarily a long time, on the contrary, Cygnus has been supplying the family with children for years now, luck just had it so they're all daughters who can't pass on the family name.
Still, taking a step back, Orion, Walburga, Alphard, and Lucretia (who married a Prewett) are all adults who are just not having any children. The Orion and Walburga are perhaps not even married, we don't know when they married, and it could be they married specifically because neither of them had found anyone else to marry and there were no sons. Alternatively, they married earlier but then did not have children until they were in their mid-thirties. Considering Lucretia's childless marriage, it might be some Blacks struggled with infertility.
A bit of nerding about why I think Walburga waiting so long to have children is odd
The tldr for Western European demographics is that if you can afford to have children and provide for your family, you will marry and have children early. The upper classes have historically married and had children much younger than the lower classes because of this. The mother's education will also impact when she has children - higher education means having children later.
I think we see this reflected in the wizarding world, in that education is both low (arguably nonexistent, considering the curriculum at Hogwarts) and in magic making material considerations Muggles must make obsolete. And we do see a lot of young parents - Lily and James are both 20 when they have Harry, Andromeda is maximum 24 when she has Nymphadora Tonks, Molly Weasley is 20 when she has Bill, Narcissa is 25 when she has Draco, Fleur would have been 23-25 when she had Victoire, Harry and Ginny are 26 and 25 when they have James Sirius, Hermione and Ron are 26-27 when they have Rose...
Young is the norm.
And with the Blacks, who were lineage obsessed, and where Walburga is never reported to have had a career keeping her busy, I find it very interesting that Walburga doesn't have children until she's 35.
There are three possible explanations I can see:
Walburga and Orion didn't want to have children, and waited for Alphard or Cygnus to get on with it, only for Cygnus to only have daughters and Alphard to have no children at all (bit unlikely since they had two sons, a couple who pointedly did not want children would have called it quits after the first)
They had fertility issues
Walburga and Orion did not instantly marry, but waited for years until it became clear Orion wasn't going to find anybody else, Alphard apparently not either, and Cygnus said "fuck you all, I've contributed three kids already", at which point Walburga and Orion were both single, both cared about the lineage, and went for it.
We've gone for option 2 since it's just funnier to have a pair of cousins all over each other at Hogwarts, "Aren't they-" "Yes and they're very happy together :)", but I think option 3 is pretty feasible too.
Either way, you can read into Walburga and Orion from the late births of their children and you also get free Alphard characterisation, because his choice not to marry starts to look rather pointed.
Back to Alphard
While the Blacks were not dying out at the time, they also weren't swimming in children. Only Cygnus was passing on the family name, and that was exclusively to daughters, and he went on to have no more (legitimate) children after leaving school. Pollux wasn't having any more (legitimate) children, and while there are and grandfathers uncles on the family tree who could do the deed they were quite old, many unmarried, and most importantly they canonically had no children.
We're down to Alphard, Orion, and Cygnus having to pass on the family name, with Orion and Walburga a decade into their marriage with no sons to show for it. Sure, Cygnus could have sons, but that would be placing all their dragon eggs in one dragon basket (and indeed, he had no sons).
Why doesn't Alphard marry?
The family must have brought it up, if not pressured him. Alphard not marrying in a world where arranging a match would have been the easiest thing in the world looks to me like a deliberate refusal.
The giving of the money to the Sirius
This all brings us to the one thing we know for sure that Alphard did in his life: he willed money to Sirius after he'd been disowned.
We know Alphard was not a blood traitor prior to this, or he'd have been burned off earlier.
I frankly take this to mean Alphard most likely subscribed to pureblood supremacy, or at least he did not mind it enough to do anything else to cross his family. Giving money to Sirius isn't a political act, it's an uncle providing for a family member who has suddenly lost everything.
(And, if we assume Alphard himself is gay: it's an uncle who sees his nephew run away from home to be with his best friend, and perhaps drawing a few conclusions of his own about the strength of Sirius's friendship to James. There are many ways to interpret his choice to support Sirius financially, is what I'm saying.)
It also seems a distinct overreaction to me that Walburga would burn him off the family tapestry for something like this, and... it seems very much like one angry, mourning, woman's way of hurting a brother she can no longer confront. If she had been hoping Sirius wouldn't make it out in the wild and be forced to return, then Alphard giving him money would be a betrayal of the highest order.
Walburga putting a cigarette to her wallpaper isn't the same as the entire Black family disowning Alphard posthumously, it's an act of grief and anger.
Where we make things up wholesale
I'll go ahead and assume Alphard was gay, had a good and stable but slightly fucked up family life, and got overly attached to his dorm mate Tom Riddle as a stranger to all of this who perhaps seemed above it all. I also vote he raised Bellatrix, Narcissa, and Andromeda, because it's a more interesting option than Pollux. (In case you didn't notice, Muffin and I subscribe to the Black family being as fucked up as we can reasonably make them.)
Vinelle, what was the point of this?
My point is that we may not have any canon appearances to go on with Alphard Black, but we do have dates, biographical facts, what he did with his will, a few statements from Walburga's insane painting and other characters, and a whole lot of imagination. And an obsessive tendency.
And a willingness to say "Mm, no. Can't read. Sorry, that fact's just wrong." when we don't like things (more specifically, Sirius's phrasing making it sound like Alphard died not too long after Sirius ran away from home, which would make him dead for The Man Who Would Be King, a fic that takes place in 1982. We will assume Sirius meant "gave", not "left".)
Wee.

Some Harry Potter Characters I made with AI based on the description and prompt from @breaniebree for her story ASC
They are far from perfect, some better, some worse, but it was a try lol
The first two are Remus Lupin with the prompt:
"A 35 year old nice looking man called Remus lupin looking like Andrew Garfield with scars and a bit of stubble, whiskey coloured eyes and light brown short hair in a brown vintage suit looking like a professor
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then then the third and fourth are Sirius Black with the prompt:
"A 35 year old cool looking man called Sirius Black looking like Joe Manganiello with dark stubble, grey eyes and perfect long black hair pulled back in a tank top"
With those two I am not too satisfied.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then then the fifth and sixth are Nymphadora Lupin Tonks with the prompt:
"A 25 year old cool looking woman called Nymphadora Tonks looking like Keira Knightley with grey eyes and short pink hair"
Also not too sure about those
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then then the seventh and eighth are Ron Weasley with the prompt:
"A 20 year old happy looking man called Ron Weasley looking like Matt Milne with blue eyes and short orange-red hair in red jumper"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also tried Abraxas Malfoy (Lucius' father) with the prompt:
"A 50 year old evil man looking like Sebastian Roché called Malfoy with a sharp pointed face with a perfectly coiffed short beard and long silver hair pulled back in dark robes, dark gloomy,"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also tried Bill Weasley but those I am not really too fond of as well:
"A 25 year old man called Bill Weasley looking like Johnny Harrington with a beard, blue eyes and long orange-red hair pulled back"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And just for fun I made Tom Riddle as well, one young and one old before his first demise:
Young: "A 25 year old evil man called Tom Riddle with a sharp pointed face and short dark hair, dark eyes, dark robes, dark, gloomy"
Tumblr media
Old: "A 60 year old evil man called Tom Riddle with a sharp pointed sunken face and with short salt and pepper hair, dark eyes, dark robes, dark, gloomy"
Tumblr media

Hi! Could you explain Tom and Abraxas relationship? I'm so interested in knowing since you said he choose Draco bc he looks like A. Thanks!!!
oh you have no idea how excited I am to answer this!! 😭 fair warning this is all my headcannon so take it with a grain of salt.
let's start off with a young tom riddle. we know his back story blah blah but upon arriving at hogwarts he was definitely confused right? perhaps even bullied at first for being a suspected muggleborn except he wouldn't know the difference since it's his first introduction to the wizarding world. this is where abraxas comes in.
abraxas malfoy–pureblood, popular, rich, and subtly haughty sees a potential servant (?) /friend in tom riddle. the boy is pretty to look at and if taught the right things, could be a useful asset and minion. he befriends tom and introduces him to wizarding society, teaching him the hierarchical rules, traditions, and the prestige being a pureblood brings. he tells him the inferiority of muggles and muggleborns and how they are destroying wizarding culture and are a stain to society. tom, who already has a bad experience with muggles, agrees with all this and soaks it all in immediately.
quickly adapting to all he has learned from his mentor, their relationship changes at some point with tom taking the lead and abraxas becoming the follower instead. tom's skills in manipulation shines through and suddenly, he has an entire posse following behind him, preaching what abraxas taught him. abraxas, ever the naive, sheltered pureblood, doesn't realize the tides have changed until it's too late but doesn't mind it as he's now willing to follow behind the boy he once thought worthy of being his lackey. his admirations to young tom riddle borderline on near feverish idolization to the point where he is willing to risk it all for just one word of approval from tom, similar to other death eaters.
tom's incapability to love prevents him from being able to see anyone as an equal, them merely being pawns for him to use and beneath his standing. however, this is different when it comes to abraxas. he thinks of abraxas as a coddled naive fool who was undeservingly served a golden spoon from birth but is somewhat grateful to him for being his first ally at school and a guide to the wizarding world. in a sense, perhaps out of pity or personal amusement, he sees abraxas as his first partner? friend? not on equal standing of course but perhaps as the closest acquaintance he is capable of making in all his lifetime.
later on in their years at hogwarts, abraxas's need to solidify his position as tom's closest companion, confidant, and perhaps his own growing obsession, pushes him to evolve their platonic relationship into one of the sexual kind. this lasts for as long as it does until abraxas is ordered by his family to get married and have an heir. tom encourages this as an heir means more followers for his cause, resulting in abraxas's hasty marriage and the consequent birth of lucius malfoy. throughout it all, a now grown abraxas continues to expend all his efforts to aid tom's mission to the best of his capabilities before his abrupt death by a case of dragon pox before reaching the age of 30. tom is reasonably upset by this for a while but doesn't mull over it for too long as he believes himself to be the kind that never cared.
as lucius malfoy grows and becomes servant to the dark lord, tom sees subtle similarities between the young man and his once closest friend but it's nothing shocking or worth acting upon as their differences are far greater than their similarities. where lucius is an odious character with cruel tendencies, a slimy character and is obnoxiously vain, abraxas was naive yet charming with a boastful appearance accompanied by his noble arrogance that was pleasing at times. abraxas was capable of cruelty to please while lucius did the same out of fear instead. this didn't interest tom in the slightest and he turned a blind eye to the first generation after abraxas.
after the situation with baby harry and his own revival, tom, now voldemort, spends his days in the malfoy residence where he happens upon draco. he is mildly shocked by the surprising resemblance draco has of abraxas and as a skilled legilimens, he goes through teenage draco's mind and sees the romantic obsession the young malfoy has for harry potter. this reminds him once again of abraxas's own feelings towards himself and this is where his interest starts. suddenly he finds himself glancing for prolonged times at draco, soaking up the remnants of abraxas he is able to find and comes to the realization he has missed his deceased friend more than he has let on. he will never again have a companion so loyal, so pretty, so willing to die for him and what better way to honour that sort of bond than putting a piece of himself inside abraxas's living descendant. this is further fueled by the images he sees of harry's own memories through their connection and the oblivious but budding feelings harry holds for draco. he makes up his mind then to turn draco into his final and most prized horcrux, one he knows to be made in honour of his most cherished pet and the one piece of himself harry would never be able to kill.
or as I like to call it: draco is now a horcrux I guess 🤷‍♀️
