The wildest ep of the Macgyver reboot

Sometimes I think fondly about Macgyver (2016) season 3 episode 13 Wilderness + Training + Survival....and how absolutely batshit this episode was. If the creators had decided to confidently maintain these chaos levels, I think the show would have been better and had a longer run in general (but that's just my opinion).

Some random insane details that got fully brushed over but make me lose my mind every time:

Mac actively choosing to bring no emergency supplies out of pure god complex.

That time the bad guy leader tore Mac's beanie off and grabbed him by the hair sexual-style. Absolutely no other character has thought to grab Mac by the hair in the original show or the reboot like wtf

EDIT I've been reminded by some friendly reblogs that hair-pulling happens in a couple other episodes. Regardless, it cracks me up every single time. The guy seems to do it out of pure frustration and that is so funny to me.

Riley wearing acrylics into the wilderness

The bad guy just up and massacred his entire squad so he wouldn't have to share the money. Like he just shot them all in cold blood. That's some GOT shit.

Mac getting shot in the thigh from like two inches away and not having his entire femur shattered.

Riley and Bozer running into a clearing scattered with dead bodies?? With Mac bleeding out (?) in the middle?? No questions asked.

At least two of the bad guys were SEVERELY injured and they just got left to die in the absolute middle of nowhere after all that emphasis on how dangerous the wilderness is lmfao

RILEY WEARING ACRYLICS INTO THE WILDERNESS

Bozer being totally confused by the word yarrow implying that he did literally none of the reading.

That one guy who was blinded by burning poison oak and left to die in the woods

Mac doing math and science word problems outloud while a group of murdering criminals stare at him in confusion

Why did he have a random hillbilly friend in the mountains

Why did he suddenly have a pickup truck for the occasion

anyway i miss Macgyver and i wish it would come back RIP ok bye

I'm Okay With That

Pairing: MacGyver x FemReader

Warning: little smut

Summary: Mac had been gone all week on a mission. Once he was finally back he got distracted with Phoenix stuff and was running late so you gave him the motivation to hurry up.

Masterlist

The clock ticked slowly as you sat at the kitchen counter. Mac was supposed to be home two hours ago. Once he had made it to town he promised you it would take an hour tops with Phoenix stuff until he could return to your arms. The catch was he was very easily distracted and that hour turned into three. The week without him had killed you and it didn't help knowing he was so close yet so far. It also didn't help that you had been sexually frustrated all day. You and Mac hadn't been together in two and a half weeks and the fact of seeing him face to face and being able to touch him soon didn't help your thoughts from running wild.

You: where you at?

Pressing send on the message you would hope his reply would be something along the lines of a minute away. Yet all hopes were shot down at the reply.

Mac: sorry got caught up. be there as soon as I can

Letting out a sigh you got up to lay down in your bedroom. There was no point in waiting on that hard wooden stool now. Yet upon entering the bedroom it didn't make the sexual frustration easier. The room still smelled like Mac and it was sending your senses into overdrive at the thought of him against you. He needed to hurry up.

Laying in the bed didn't help as the minutes continued to pass. The fan in the room blew lightly against you and you closed your eyes to let the thoughts of Mac fill every sense. His sweaty skin rubbing against yours, running your hands through his blonde locks as they curled softly around your fingers, and how he would breath heavily in your face. This could not go on any longer.

With this newfound frustration also came a few devious ideas so you quickly pulled out your phone. You had only been dressed in Mac's old flannel and your panties so undoing the first few buttons you sent your reply to Mac's text.

You: better hurry ;)

Mac had been sitting on one of the leather chairs as they sat in the briefing room. He fiddled with a paperclip as he listened to Jack annoy Riley when his phone buzzed. He hadn't expected what he saw when he pulled it out. Your chest was practically on display in the opened flannel but covering all the good parts. The suggestive look in your eyes made him squirm in his seat.

"You okay bud?" Mac looked up to see Jack giving him a confused look. Mac quickly snapped himself out of it and nodded.

"Yeah, sorry, zoned out" he said and Jack slowly but surely nodded. Mac set his phone down on his lap and tried to ignore your message. Matty had been taking a while to join everyone in the briefing room and he needed to make it until then. Your suggestive texts would not help him with that.

His phone buzzed again and he looked to see that the flannel was now fully unbuttoned. A darkness swept through his eyes at the thought of ripping his own shirt off you. Jack gave a confused look Mac's way but ignored it. Again a buzz sounded throughout the room. Mac looked to see that the panties were now removed and it was dangerously close to what he was trying to not think about.

"Is it Y/N? Is she okay?" Jack asked seriously as he turned to Mac. Mac quickly cleared his throat as he tried to contain his thoughts.

"She's fine" Mac spoke and Jack rose his eyebrows at the boy who sat across from him. He could easily see the uneasiness in Mac's face.

"Really because if she is texting you that much she's either mad or sending dirty pictures" Jack crossed his arms and Mac grew super uncomfortable under his stare. Jack noticed the redness flooded in Mac's cheeks and how he pulled at the knees of his pants.

"Holy shit Y/N is sending you dirty pictures" Riley's eyes widened and the phone buzzed again. Mac refused to look at it under this predicament he got himself into and Riley snatched the phone from his lap.

"Hey!" Mac helplessly reached for the phone as Riley walked away. She did not care because you two had been close friends and when she saw the photo you had sent of the flannel barely covering your ass that was all the confirmation she needed to know that Jack was right for once in his life.

"No way" she mumbled and Mac finally snatched the phone. When he saw the photo his stomach clenched with nerves and he had to get out of there. Jack started laughing out loud at this.

"Oh wow this is great. Little Mac here has to wait to finish work and his girlfriend is getting him all hot and bothered" Jack laughed and Mac struggled to keep his composure as another one came through that suggested you were using your hand for something he needed to be doing.

"Shut up" Mac grumbled but Jack continued laughing. That was when the last text came through that shoved Mac off the edge completely.

You: since your not replying I guess I'll have to finish the job myself

"Are you guys ready?" Matty pushed open the door to the briefing room and Jack continued laughing as Riley tried to keep her composure. She was glad Bozer decided to stay down in the lab. He would never believe Y/N did something like this.

"Mac isn't" Jack said with a chuckle and Matty looked to the flustered Mac who was trying to think of anything to keep his pants loose and help him get out of here sooner.

"Are you okay Mac?" she pressed and Mac tugged at his hair and then quickly pulled his phone out.

Mac: don't you dare, I'm on my way

"I'm sorry, I uh, I gotta go" Mac rushed out of the room and Jack was practically rolling with laughter from his friends sexual frustration. You smiled happily at your accomplishment and it didn't even take ten minutes until you heard the front door open. Deciding you weren't done teasing you rushed over and locked the bedroom door. Hopping back down on the bed was when you heard the desperate shove against it.

"Y/N this is not funny" Mac practically growled from the other side but you just sat there with a smirk on your face. You still wore only the flannel but the panties had long been removed and it was unbuttoned down the whole front. A few more shoves went against the door and then suddenly a click followed and Mac aggressively pushed into the room. You knew it wouldn't take long. He dropped the paperclip as he stared at your form.

"I still had work to finish. Your gonna pay for this" he told you as he removed each side of the leather jacket before pulling it off. Once it dropped to the ground he leapt forward and pulled you into his grasp.

"I'm okay with that"

Does anyone have recs for crime/detective/found family tv shows that aren’t centred around murder?

I’ve watched White Collar, MacGyver, and Scorpion. There doesn’t seem to be many more, but please let me know!!

I love the genre but I can’t handle the brutality and “getting in the mind of a killer” stuff. I really like the dynamic of criminal minds but I can’t get through it, I’ve watched some of bones, but same deal. (to be clear, I don’t think it’s wrong to like those shows, just personally I find it too stressful)
