I think several members of the Justice League hate the Batfamily because every one of them — every single one — has the same, Batman-esque look on their face when they know something you don’t. Which they do. Frequently. Just like the fucking Bat.

teenage chuuya and dazai who accidentally developed quite a couple of inside jokes over the course of their partnership, and one day just have the most horrid case of giggles while on a mission.
the setting is all intense and they’re doing what double black usually does—dazai being the brains and chuuya mainly being the one kicking ass. but then something happens that triggers one of chuuya and dazai’s inside jokes in dazai’s mind and he slowly starts to lose it.
he whispers it to chuuya as they’re setting up their trap, who at first hisses at him to shut up and focus up, but then the joke processes in his mind and he involuntarily starts to smile and tremble.
dazai brings up the joke again in combat as he knocks out one of the men he’s fighting, close to hysterics over it even though it’s probably one of the most unfunny and nonsensical jokes they have. he’s hunched over and his body is shaking, and another enemy uses his moment of vulnerability to go and strike him from behind. chuuya quickly takes the enemy out. he screams at dazai to focus up yet again.
but the louder dazai’s laughter gets, the harder it is for chuuya to suppress his own. his face slowly starts to turn red, not from the physical activity, but from how fucking stupid the joke is and how that’s exactly why chuuya is on the verge of going ballistic over it like dazai.
they’re both out of breath by the time they finish fighting, a couple of new scars littered on their skin, bruises already forming on their knees from the particularly gruelling mission, and dazai brings up the joke one final time in a hushed voice, covered in grime and blood and ick, chest heaving. and chuuya, who looks identical, practically shouts in laughter, sending them into a full blown fit that has them clutching their chests and stomachs. they stumble forward and backward and inhale sharply only to immediately burst out laughing again when they look at each others faces, which read the inside joke they’re both thinking. they don’t account the moment in their mission report, but hirotsu certainly does in his.

Tails getting separation anxiety after Sonic Forces (beacuse what the hell do you mean his big brother that he thought DIED because of him was actually being held prisoner and tortured for six months in which he couldn’t do anything to help him because he didn’t know) but won’t ever tell Sonic beacuse he knows his brother doesn’t want to be stated in one place now more than ever, he wants to go around, see the world he missed for six months, he needs to run, and even though he offered him to come along he “doesn’t want to be clingy”.
Tails won’t ever hold him back or slow him down, he never has. even if it’s killing him inside.

Ough thinking about how during the fight Riz kept insisting Gorgug cut Oisin’s head off so he can’t be revived and Gorgug specifically not doing that when he killed him…. My hopes for a Rat Grinder redemption are hanging on by a thread called Zac Oyama right now

the other thing I really love about grimmichi as a ship is that you cannot separate Grimmjow from Ichigo no matter who you actually like him with romantically (if anyone). it’d be one thing if he came back in TYBW and either snubbed Ichigo or had moved on but no he is very much still gunning for a rematch. it’s been like 2 years. maybe not a lot of time for a hollow but I mean. c’mon. I’ll never be over Grimmjow trying to butt into the call with Urahara because he heard Ichigo’s voice on the other end. man was desperate for attention you can’t convince me otherwise

Okay now I'm curious about your TMA/Gravity Falls crossover. Is it like the cast of TMA get a cartoony summer adventure or is it like the cast of Gravity Falls have to deal with The Horrors? Or is it something else?
See this fic enchants me because it’s sort of both. One of the Rules of the fic is that the characters absolutely must maintain the conventions of their genre. So it’s the TMA universe and all of its grimdark cosmic horror grappling with the metaphysically displaced Mystery Twins, who operate on cartoon logic.
So it’s a lot of:
Elias: As you can see, you are all quite trapped. Under the contract, you cannot quit and you cannot kill me, so I suggest you all--
Mabel and Dipper: *exchange a look*
Dipper, stonefaced: *shrinks him with the size changing gem*
Mabel: *picks him up by his blazer and puts him in a jar*
The TMA crew: *staring*
Dipper, clapping once: so that's him handled.
Tim, completely broken, having to sit down: what
Dipper: I mean he can't do his evil machinations when he's like two inches tall in a jar and he's not going to die either so--oh uh Mabel? You put holes in that jar right?
Mabel, already going through Elias’s wallet and pocketing the cash: I can't be expected to think of everything Dipper
Dipper: I'm sure he's fine there, there was some air to start with and--we'll add holes. We'll add some holes

Something something, I’d like to imagine at least SOME of the members of the GIW are in an unspecified death cult and are aware that their actions could lead to at least was with the Infinate Realms (a war the living would lose) an at most lead to destruction of the Infinate Realms and therefore destruction of existence itself. So in the GIW there’s:
1. your regular dudes who are there to work a useless, well paid govt job
2. your freaky bigoted paranormal fanatics, and
3. your guys who are looking for one reason or another to End the Damn World.
And out of that mixed bag handful, you’re gonna end up with some competent members somewhere in there! And I think that the more effective a fictional adversary is, the more interesting a story can be! Specifically because I thrive on angst and evil, evil villains. Idk I don’t have a lot to say on this right now, I’ll try again later
