He insults people's outfits, rates their little drawings and outfits super low, and straight up annoys them in any form possible

Hello! I know you're one of the people who ship Moon and Solar (TSAMS) And y'all have gotten me into the ship as well! XD I'm not caught up on the lore of the show(s) So i haven't even seen Solar IN SHOW before (i am very behind to before Lunar was Sun and Moons brother :' D) But I have some ideas I'm debating writing for the ship buttt....I have no clue how Canon Solar acts??? Do you know if theres somewhere I could find a Summary on his personality? (and I suppose...new Moon?) I'll probably unintentionally make them OOC...never written for anything TSAMS related, but i'll try!

And is there a ship names thats...like used for them instead of Solar X Moon or is it just called that?

Heheheh. Thank you. I've been shipping these two since June 2023 so I'm glad I can share the brainrot and some people are more welcoming and cool then I expect. (mostly the ones who can't think critically are the youtube audience but that's expected. Since a lot of the youtube target audience are... like.. minors or really young adults who can't conceive the concept.)

I rewatch that Episode where Solar changes his name and rebuilds the Daycare in a week just for Moon constantly cause it's just... so much admiration and appreciation Moon has for Solar in that episode. I swear I don't know if it was a flub on the actor's part... but I swear Moon calls him 'sexy' as he's dragging him to charge. the stock sound effect of "OOOOH" doesn't help my APD and I've listened so many times and I have no possible idea what Moon could be saying to Solar other then 'come here you stupid, sexy-...." (trails off) sooo... idk. I might have misheard that severely but that's just what I'm hearing.

Like, in terms of New Lore of the show, it gets pretty complicated.

So complicated in fact, TSAMS themselves released a new video on the subject.... But it's NOT a very good guide, as it misses a lot of things. (and no I don't mean the stupid guest cameo stuff) this is more or less an abridged take on what happens with no emotional impact:

Like, this is a good starting point if you want the barest of bones, but it misses so much stuff. I think they don't even mention how Solar gets introduced into this family. lol. Just like "yeah Im here and I helped kill Eclipse" fheahehf. It's a super well made video though, and I don't mind the editing mistakes (clearly when the actors change the avatar on screen.... whoops. Happens a few times)

There is also the Fan Wiki, but as of now, it is incomplete, (@twinanimatronics is working tirelessly on updating the wiki and I wish they got more reconignition from the tsams community as a whole ) but it does give a decent look into Solar

There is also the huge TSAMS Lore Document, which Ceph(twinanimatronics) also worked on which contains a further detailed explanation of the story so far, for those who don't have time to watch 2 years worth of youtube content that aren't in a concrete playlist. (TSAMS. PLAYLIST YOUR STUFF PROPERLY. YOU HAVE TWO YEARS OF LORE HERE)

Liike.... yeah... this is okay but like..

This is VRchat. Aka the lore. Which also includes when they play videogames in VRchat, which don't impact the story... Like Uno, Amongus and SCP stuff.....

And it doesn't divide the arcs. Something that TSAMS severely needs more then any other SB Show channel.

Also, in the early days, the gameplay videos USED to be part of the lore. As the concept of Eclipse itself, being a rouge evil ai that lived in Sun's head (as it was presented initially but we know the truth it was the killcode moon planted in Sun when they separated.)

These days, they kinda dropped the gameplay videos being directly connected to the over arching plot. Other then just saying that their vids are pre-recorded or "we're back" after an annual halloween takeover.

Not to mention... When Earth and Lunar got a show, they became intertwined with the Sun and Moon show. LAES is very much it's own thing, but it's the ONLY Security Breach Show that consists of two Original Characters spawned from the Sun and Moon show. A rarity. So their lore continues off from the Sun and moon show, giving more info on Lunar these days and Earth (their sister)

Then you have the Monty and Foxy show (which is my least favorite of the shows... Personal Preference. I try not to complain cus I know some people like it. But I do not like the plot points in that show, or the character writing and weird directions they take while being connected to the same universe.)

And Monty is a character voiced by Davis, who also voices Sun. So Monty started out as a prominent character on the Sun and Moon Show, and then got his OWN show... at a point in TSAMS history after Eclipse got the star and killed Lunar.

So yeah. I wish the playlists were better organized here. So we knew when each era starts.

(people say Matpat should get on this show lore... And noooooooo no thanks. Keep him away. We got you covered. Ceph honestly has enough info to make a video guide at this point.)

But long story short, Solar is a "Good Eclipse" from another dimension that the Old Moon introduced to Lunar, when Lunar was struggling with his trauma of leaving Eclipse. Good Eclipse and Lunar become friends.

Anyway, here are some key episodes that outline NewMoon and Solar's relationship, as Solar had never met the Old Moon.

Old Moon had never met Solar. It was New Moon who introduced himself to Solar to help defeating Eclipse once and for all. (and by this point lunar had died)

He was actually surprised that this Moon was a chill Moon and could be reasoned with and talked to, considering he was living a rather oppressive life from his own Moon.

There's also a whole episode saga of just these two bantering and talking while they work on the satellite together. I can't remember which specific episodes those are.

You can also see the difference between the Evil Eclipse and Good Eclipse here in one of my all time favorite episodes:

Moon saving Solar's life: (also the death of the bad Eclipse)

Everything is good and happy after Eclipse dies for awhile. (aside of Ruin and Bloodmoon wrecking shit) He goes back to his own dimension... and you get to see what his sad life is like:

From his Moon calling him "byproduct" and failure very often.

But... Something happens and Solar is forced to come to Moon's dimension

here's Solar at his poor little meow meow "I have nowhere to go" stage and just... thought to go to Moon immediately due to their history.

Moon's only question about Solar moving in, is that if he wanted him to blacklist his dimension once he heard what was going on with his Moon.

And immediately, Solar jumps in to help Moon with his problems.

Also during the halloween takeover part 2 electric boogaloo, Solar was the one to help get Sun and Moon back after being teleported to a different dimension with no hopes of returning

Also, after Ruin was cured and Bloodmon ran off, Solar rebuilt the ruined Daycare in a week. And Moon is so grateful for it. (i rewatch this episode a lot. It cemented the ship in my mind and built the commodity that they've been building up for months)

We also get what Solar's daily life is like so far... How out of place he feels, being someone from a different dimension, despite the Brothers (and sister's) insistence, he still doesn't really feel like he's part of the family. He feels like an outsider. (He also has less opportunities to hang out with Lunar. As he expressed interest in playing games with him like the good old days, and as of recently, they have not yet)

also a good example of the Celestial family changing minds on family dynamics because they are robots. Lunar flat out rejected Vegeta-Animatronic is his brother even if he technically is. Like, they're robots. They can change their relationships to each other based on their word. I like to see it more flexible then it is in reality with actual people/humans.

Moon also trying to make Solar feel comfortable and feel like he's adjusting well here. Expressing his concern for him doing so much for him and his family. And hoping to not pressure him into so much work.

As of recently, his Sun died, and he killed his Moon. And in his therapy session (on the Lunar and Earth Show) he expressed regret over "Leaving" them...

But he has not properly told anyone about this.

My reasoning is that he probably thinks that the family will jump on the chance to call him "Evil" .....They don't have good luck with Eclipses.... and every Eclipse they met other than him has been Evil. (that must weigh on you. Every version of yourself is deemed as evil across every dimension. You are the only good one. Maybe there is something wrong with you)

I'm already at the video limit, but on Lunar and Earth show, there is an interesting episode where Lunar goes into Solar's head, and his mindscape looks like the Willy Wonka TV room, because it was a movie he watched with his Sun before they separated and Sun died. Showing that he did care about his Sun a whole lot... Which is probably why he doesn't interact with our Sun that much alone.

He also compartmentalizes everything before he can feel emotions, playing his own memories in third person as if he's not experiencing them.

Not to mention, he organizes and separates his thoughts on NewMoon and HIS Moon, just so he won't associate the two.

I also missed what episode it was, but Solar is always the first to call Moon out when he's being angry, or irrational, and Sun admits in his therapy session, that Solar is the only person who can calm Moon down. (mainly cus he's used to it, but unlike his old moon, this moon listens)

Anyway...

alright no one asked but here are my final opinions on the kids. obviously spoilers for the quarry ahead

jacob: super mixed feelings. idiot who ruins everything, but most realistically 18-20yo in his behavior. makes stupid mistakes because he thinks with his dick, but also openly cries and shows fear often which i appreciate. didn’t like how he tried to force emma into a relationship at all, but the “i wish i could tell you i’m sorry; i don’t know what to do” lines were deeply satisfying for me. he was also actually funny to me in a couple scenes which is more than i can say for some of the others. “hhhngng skill”

emma: liked her, then didn’t like her, then was mostly distracted by her awful dialogue and strange mouth animation, not that that’s her fault. i think i understand her to an extent from her conversations with abi—she believes her talent and therefore her value lies in being entertaining, so everything she does has to be some kind of spectacle. unfortunately, it just wasn’t the kind of spectacle i found fun to watch, i.e. flirting with someone despite not reciprocating their feelings, creating drama where it wasn’t necessary, etc

kaitlyn: easily one of my favorite characters. i don’t find her funny at all, but just as it was with emma, that’s more the writers’ fault than anything. regardless, once the lighthearted tone of the night finally dropped and shit hit the fan, i liked her character infinitely more. she’s so clever!! and i love how handy she is. honestly many of the hacketteers wouldn’t have survived if it hadn’t been for her taking the reigns when necessary. what a total badass—and i’d say a semi realistic one, who still exhibits fear and panic

ryan: love this kid. everyone in-game seems to think he’s mysterious and brooding but he’s actually mostly just awkward and shy—at least that’s how i read him. and even though i saw other people getting annoyed with him for pushing back against laura at first, i really admired his loyalty and his sticking to his personal morals until he couldn’t anymore. he helped her in the end anyway, isn’t that telling enough that he ultimately does what needs to be done? also love the headcanon that he’s autistic, i definitely see it.

dylan: right up my alley. slightly annoying smartass? check. actually quite genuine and kind? check. secret genius? fuckin check babe. hard for me to pick a favorite scene of his; i enjoyed watching him interact with the others regardless of who he was with. maybe that’s because i think his dialogue sounds the most naturally human? at least in the playthroughs i observed. i’m also a bit embarrassed to admit i actually found him pretty funny, but let me know if that’s just favoritism lol

abi: sweetheart, but pretty one-note to me. i admired her kindness towards the other characters but i spent most of her screentime feeling bad for her. i think she’s very cute and would’ve been open to seeing more from her, though i suppose i understand why she fell to the wayside a little bit. not everyone needs to be a fearless badass, i can appreciate her role of needing more protection than the others. she felt the most like a typical 18-20yo girl to me.

nick: i guess he seemed like a sweet kid before shit went south for him. obviously i enjoyed watching his behavior change from “baby deer” to “cause for concern” over the course of his transformation. his… let’s call it “food aggression” over abi was incredibly uncomfortable and delightfully creepy to me. i was glad when she pushed him away of course, i just appreciated seeing the progression. besides that i didn’t particularly care for him one way or the other.

max: not gonna lie i love this dude. i unironically find him funny, i appreciate that he wasn’t overly skeptical of laura when she was scared in the woods, and even when he snapped at her he apologized right away calmed himself down. i also liked that he was primarily the one who needed saving. his takes never missed he was always right, they should’ve just gone to the motel and leaving a voicemail is absolutely not the same as calling ahead. love u puppy boy

laura: took me a hot min but i did in fact warm up to her a bit. obviously the mess she got them into was largely avoidable, but seeing as this is a horror game, i won’t fault her for that. i can even admire her stubbornness for the sake of character depth. i also liked her intelligence and resourcefulness, and sort of enjoyed watching her grow more ruthless towards the hacketts in order to save max. corruption in the name of love is what horror is all about baby

Anyways…

Soooo answering this dude up here ^ @faemagic88 let’s just say I got a few ideas

So basically, for anyone who didn’t see my last post?

Quirk toddler uses quirk on Izuku, bakugo, and denki and sends them to monster high, ever after high, and Winx respectively

Lord explosion god dynamight and his fairy tale adventures

For ever after high I totally want bakugo to be apart of the school purely because he heard how the school has a lot of secrets and magical items that might help with his issue, so he decides to force his way in to get back to his universe ( somehow… he’s working out the kinks of his plan )

While there he’s definitely gonna throw a ton of kids for a loop. Not caring about royal or rebel because A. He’s from another universe and B. He just thinks it’s so dumb to follow the paths of your parents just because of something as silly as “destiny”

He’s the type of person who believes that you chose your life, and he’s not gonna be silent about it.

Is he gonna cause more drama in this school? Yes, but this school is already filled with it so whatever

I don’t know what fairy tail he would pretend to be. I think he might pretend to be the son of “Momotaro” from the story “Momotaro; the story of the son and the peach” where basically this boy is born from a peach, soon taken in by a couple. When the boy turns fifteen, he goes off on a journey with a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant to slay the demons on an island, before returning home to be with his family

It makes the most sense, as Momotaro is fairly popular in Japan- or so I’ve heard

But an alternate story I thought of was of him pretending to be the son of Kintarō, “the golden boy” who is a warrior who goes on many journeys throughout his life, slaying beast and saving towns n what not.

Neither story would explain his weird… “explosion magic” as people call it, but hell it’s the best thing that he gots so.

I was thinking of mimickings ever after highs small story structure and maybe have an “episode” where Apple white realizes that he doesn’t seem to care about her, her status, her story, or even her looks and how that kinda bothers her ( more like gets her all riled up. She’s not used to boys just… not even giving her a second look. )

And then another small “episode” of bakugo deciding to take part in a sport cuz… well… let’s just say daring and his group found out that if you tell Bakugo he can’t do something, he’s gonna do it just to show off

Thing is, cerise is in the sport as well in the opposing team, and maybe bakugos team is like “well most of them are girls maybe we should go easy”

Cue the “equal rights equal fights” from bakugo, and basically forces cerise to show off her wolf abilities if she even wants to try to actually win against him.

And… who knows maybe that’s when people realize she’s haft wolf or something lol

I was also maybe having him be apart of the Dragons games??? Like maybe he wasn’t gonna be apart of it, but when Apple white accidentally releases the evil queen and the evil queen he senses some shit is about to go down and thinks “ugh, god, not more bullshit”

Also maybe he gets his own dragon for the games by literally TACKLING AND SUBMITTING ONE OF THE EVIL QUEENS BAD DRAGONS so he could ride it and use it so he could be apart of it.

And yes, Goldielocks did record this for her mirror channel and a bunch of kids did just see one of their “new students” fucking wrestle a dark dragon just cuz he needed a dragon to be apart of the games

Also maybe bakugo finally talks about his… HIS… FEELINGS?1!1!2??2!2?2 GASP lol

Dekus freaky experiences

Ok so deku… doesn’t know what the FUCK anything is. He just appeared in like the monster high catacombs, got fucking lost in them til Operetta finds him in there.

She’d probably be like “woah hey aren’t you a normie” and dekus like “wh- huh???”

Course before the two can get more into it maybe the place starts crashing down. Cue deku quickly realizing what’s happening and using his quirk to save operetta, there for showing that he definitely is a lot more then JUST a normie

Operetta concludes that deku might be a hafta like Henry Jekyl, and takes him to monster high to help him

Cue deku realizing that he’s NOT where he’s suppose to be. Maybe he tries to explain it to operetta, but when she simply gives him a weird look and ask if he’s ok, he realizes that no one is gonna believe him. So with a deep breath and shaky smile, he simply goes “maybe I just hit my head to harshly…????”

Which- yes, that’s even weirder, but he isn’t about to explain how he’s a human with a quirk when it’s so obvious that everyone is weary of him because of his human look ( he can always tell when people look at him with pity or fear. Being quirkless for most of your life then suddenly having a terrifying, powerful quirk will teach ya that ) so he does his best to just seem normal

Maybe he’ll pretend he didn’t know how he got here, talks to headmistress blood good and asks if she could PLEASE let him stay cuz “he doesn’t remember anything”

And- she’s nice, so she’ll let him stay just as long as he promises to help around the school anyway he can ( she is letting him stay here for free, it’s the least he can do ) and deku agrees to it

Now deku is… SOMEHOW a student at monster high. Everything is weird, but… here comes Frankie, who totally gets his feeling. She helps him out, teaches him all he needs to know, and helps him out- cuz, she knows what it’s like to be the new ghoul in school, and she can tell he definitely needs the help.

Cue Izuku befriending her, and maybe some of her friends.

Of Course, he still wants a way back home, so he’s gonna do everything in his power to do research into this world and ( hopefully, maybe ) try to find something to help him back home.

He’s probably not gonna tell the ghouls what’s actually happening with him til he literally has no where else to go to.

Cue the ghouls helping him go back to his comic book like world ( and maybe finding a way to get there cuz… heroes???? Villains??? Sounds like a scare-tastic experience! )

And ysaaaa they find a lot of secrets in this school. Like a lot. Oh dear

Also I totally want a scene where toralei just drills it into izukus head that he definitely isn’t gonna be all accepted here just cuz he’s “1/3 of a monster” and that he’s definitely gonna have people having it out for him because he’s mostly Normie in nature.

Idk, maybe Izuku might have some dejavú about feeling excluded because of his apparent lack of something

But it’s ok cuz Frankie would definitely cheer him up by saying “haft normie or not, you’re a great person Izuku. Don’t let someone like Toralei get under your skin, she doesn’t know what she talks about. Me and the ghouls care about you, Freaky flaws n all. And nothings gonna change that.”

And have him feel so… happy, because let’s be honest he was only accepted back into society cuz of his quirk. It would probably heal the poor little quirkless kid within him because she basically just told him that he matters, not because of what he has but because of who he is as a person and UGHHHBBN

But that’s enough of deku. Let’s talk about… denki??? How did you get here-

Denki kamanari and his strange, magical journey

Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of ideas for this one. I seriously need to rewatch Winx club, it’s been ages for me lmao

But the basic idea is that he appears right near “Redfountain School for Specialists”

Naturally, he’s freaking out cuz WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS PLACE

After a while of freaking out, he looks up to see the WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??? THATS A GIANT ASS PLACE

But as he looks around, realizing that there’s only trees for miles on end, he decides to head into the school to try and find someone to help him. Because… where the fuck is he? He just wanna go back to Izuku and Bakugo :(

So he heads in. I was thinking that it’s probably assembly day, and the kids around him just assumes hes just some poor new kid who’s about to get in trouble cuz he’s not in uniform. It’s an important meeting for the school, so he just gets dragged in with a bunch of boys who are about to be late.

I imagine he’s just trying to ask questions, sees these boys running, and says “what’s going on??” And they turn to him and go “dude, important assembly today! We’re about to be fuckin late, come on”

And they just run off.

And welll- denkis confused and weirded out but… if it means finding someone who can find him, then he’ll just follow behind and play along for now

Long story short, he ends up accidentally becoming a part of the school cuz- just- no one is questioning this yellowed hair boy with a lighting streak on the side. He’s not the weirdest thing they’ve seen. Not to mention- school in the middle of the forest, not really seen by outsiders?

Most people probably wouldn’t think it’s an outsider. I mean… who the fuck would be out in this forest anyways?

And well- it’s probably only haft way though does denki actually tell them what happened to him. And maybe they don’t believe him at first, but once he shows off his “magic” they might start to believe him.

Thing is, the show never really went into this school a lot ( at least what I remember ) sooo I might just make up a bunch of shit for this

I mean the other plan is just to have him be in the fairies school, they quickly realize he’s not suppose to be here, and probably do everything in their power to bring him back to his old world so idk

So. I imagine. They both want to get married but both feel a little weird about marriage due to their previous marriages not working out, so there’s a little hesitation from both of them. Ted is your classic traditional guy so he knows he wants to eventually, he just wants to give himself some time to like, build up to it. Then he imagines actually being married to trent, being able to call him “my husband” and him wearing a band that shows he’s committed to ted, he imagines standing in front of all their friends and committing himself to trent and he’s like ok. Actually. I can’t see a life where this doesn’t happen for me. Let me work it into my plan, I’m going to propose on christmas by giving him a gift that’s just a ring in a box that says something like love of my life, marry me. He has a plan. He’s going to make it all soppy and ridiculous.

But trent? Trent is already like. I want to marry him. I’ve never been married to a man, I’ve never been married to someone I loved like this. I want to commit myself to him through a ceremony, I want it so badly. But he gets a little bogged down in knowing that this won’t be the first time that ted has committed himself to someone else and it’s like, he’s trying not to see himself as a consolation prize, he knows ted loves him. Ted has taken all the big steps so far, with his confession and inviting trent to move in with him, trent wants to take a step this time on his own, and let ted commit himself to him and really trust him when he says he loves trent, that he’s never loved anyone the way he loves trent. Trent’s like I need to tie that man DOWN so he doesn’t run away while ted is like. So firmly tied he can’t move. Trent’s not the smartest when it comes to ted what can I say.

SO i IMAGINE that trent would get a simple silver band and worry a little that ted might not want to wear it or might not want to wear it during games or training or whatever and holds off on giving it to him for ages. He’s like, should I get him a chain to wear it around his neck? No that’s stupid lots of people wear wedding rings, nevermidn that ted did for years and years. He can just give ted a ring. So he like, scours sites and jewellery shops and plans endlessly about when the right time to give it to him is. they just sort of go about their daily lives and no one really drops hints to trent (because they're dropping hints to ted, expecting ted to pop the question. but ted has a PLAN and trent moving in after only a year was so far ahead of his plan he's having to reassess it, he's like i can ask trent to marry me in another year which means i should only ring shop in nine months because otherwise i'll just ask him. way too soon.)

trent ends up talking to someone, probably mae, and asking what she thinks about wedding bands for men who have active jobs and she's like something simple but timeless, a simple band, ted looks good in silver. and trent is like yeah i can do that. and buys one the next day (after sneakily measuring ted's finger, lol)

and trent just carries it around with him, knowing how much ted loves romcommunism and both their confession and him moving in weren't quite the perfect romcom moments and he wants to make it perfect for ted. like the right time will happen, he's just waiting for it.

and then he forgets his jacket at the club because the weather is getting nicer and it's hot out and beard gives it to him and looks at him like O_O until there at the crown and anchor or something and ted goes to the loo and beard is like hey are you planning to propose to ted or are you still married or something and trent's like what? do you think this is hollyoaks? and beard is like hey that's a quality show with some real brilliant drama and trent's like no i want to propose it's just - ted is better at this, he knows when i'm ready, he's good at reading me, he’s good at making these moments special, i'm worried if I ask him he won't be as excited as I am, or it won’t be the propsal he dreamed of.

and beard is like how have you been dating him for this long and you don't know he'd jump at this. like literally jump. he'd be through the roof. Any way that trent decided to propose. Trent could say it right after a loss and ted would lose his mind. He'd want to change his name.

They’re at the club after training and trent has to go pick up henry bc ted has club business but he put his keys down somewhere and doesn’t know where they are (and he’s still nervous about being a terrible not-quite-step-father to henry) and thinks he might have locked them in his car so he’s unloading his pockets and the ring box - which he’s still carrying around gets dunked right onto the table and ted sees it and - he looks over it, completely does not think it’s anything special because trent is always carrying some weird shit in his pockets (but usually just a lot of pencils)

And the ring by this point is with roy, who has it in his pocket, and he’s like “stop being such a twat and just give it to him, you’re going to make him think you’ve got a conspiracy planned” and trent is like fucking hell okay just give it to him

And roy throws the ring at ted and ted opens it and trent’s like. Ta-da. And ted’s like. You wanted to make it perfect. And trent’s like. It’s pretty difficult to set up a romcom moment. And ted’s like this feels like a romcom moment, you know. Where everything goes wrong in exactly the right way.

And trent’s like thre right way?

And ted’s like my favourite person asking me the exact thing I wanted to be asked surrounded by my favourite people? It’s perfect.

And trent’s like well I haven’t actually asked you yet. I was afraid you were going to get there first. And beard snorts and trent’s like oh? And ted’s like yah I had a plan, it was going to be at christmas. And trent’s like you set me up and beard’s like shrug I genuinely wasn’t convinced you’d do it first

And trent is like. All our biggest moments are happening at richmond. And ted’s like does this mean we have to get married here too? Trent imagines telling his dad he’s getting married at a football club and literally goes pale.

And ted’s like okay come on then you haven’t asked it yet. I haven’t had anyone ask me this before it’s exciting. And trent’s like but I had a plan, I booked you a spa day and ted’s like no that’s not a romcom that’s just like a drama, you need to ask me now. Bonus points if you can make someone cry.

And trent is like. God I wish I wasn’t doing this in front of everyone. You’ve changed my life, I told you once it would have broken my heart to never see you again but now I think it might break my heart if I don’t get to see you every day. The family we’ve built, it’s everything to me, I want it with you for as long as you’ll have me, I want to see my daughter grow up with some words pronounced american for absolutely no reason, I want to grow old with you, and be on this journey with you. I know that people leaving, people changing, it’s scary. But I want to see every version of you that you become, and be there for you when people do leave, because I never want to. And their wedding doesn’t happen at richmond, it happens in a cute little church (on trent’s mum’s insistence) and it’s slightly awkward and uncomfortable because trent has dad issues and ted has mum issues and they’re mostly waiting for the honeymoon where they can remove themselves from the stresses of family and wedding planning. I could write another 2000 words about the wedding tho so THERE U ARE number four was always you proposal scene.

okay final thoughts on s6 of selling sunset since a lot of you are sadly also hooked on this stupid show:

i feel really bad for mary. she’s not good at her job right now, true, but: she inherited the worst office dynamic on the planet, was put in a managerial position with no prior training, was given other duties with the penthouses which went way beyond her job description, and received absolutely no support from jason who, himself caused most of these issues. he is a pathetic man-child and most of the drama is of his own making. also these penthouses are very overpriced, i called it around episode 4 and all i know from the LA market is what i’ve seen on the show.

i don’t care about bre and chelsea’s drama. at all. if i had to pick a side, i’d say chelsea but just because i can relate to her story on a personal level and i think she has a point. these are people who are not putting their children first. and i don’t think she ever actually said anything outright negative re:bre, she just said she disagreed with her life choices, which is fair. heather’s part in this is ridiculous.

i hope amanza gets better. and emma was actually great this season. never thought i’d say this but the empañada entrepreneur slayed ✨

i felt sad about the mary&chrishell conversation at the end. i actually felt like that was the one real talk on this show. you age and things change and friendships end and you wonder if rebuilding is worth it and it hurts. aside from the nicole drama, i do see both of their points and totally understand what happened after the jason/chrishell breakup.

nicole Needs To Go. she’s the one who can’t let shit go. the fact that they were all discussing how damaging drugs were for her reputation whilst hooked up to unnecessary IVs of god knows what was the Peak of irony. they’re all made of plastic and they’re all on coke, at least. let’s all accept it and move on.

You must have seen the solo versus OT7 drama that’s been happening on Twitter or seen discussions relating to this on Tumblr. I’d like you to weigh in with your opinion on this.

To those fans who are new to this fandom, say post hiatus or just slightly pre hiatus, this could seem to be very toxic; although, it could be these same new fans who are pushing back 💁🏻‍♀️

Ultimately, the BTS anti wins - seeing a solid fandom crumble in this manner. It seems as though some of these OT7s are Sacrificing Jimin to make a point.

I hope though that Jimin does make the sales he needs and has the impact we think he shall have and that antis don’t win at pulling him down.

Oh I saw it. Not on Tumblr (I’m yet to see any of those discussions here thank goodness), but definitely on Twitter.

This is one of those situations that causes me to rub my temples because it reveals stupidity everywhere, like tech bros inducing a global banking collapse-type stupid, and there’s plenty of blame to go around. But these exact sort of situations are what’s expected to happen given how the fandom has changed since 2020, and it’s why the byline of my blog references a fandom implosion. Because it’s coming. It just has to. Lol.

I referenced 2020 for a reason. This isn’t the first time the fandom has had to navigate supporting solo work. We’ve done it in 2015, 2016, and 2020, but because of how the fandom has changed since 2020, conflict and implosion is nearly guaranteed.

Many things changed in the fandom in 2020, but one major thing that happened is we had a huge influx of k-pop noobs into the fandom. We all know many of these people happened to be from Western/European countries and typically skewed female, white, and opinionated. According to that ARMY soc med survey, these people now account for roughly 50% of the fandom, and I reckon roughly the same amount found their way into solo stan and shipper spaces. Most of these people aren’t bad in any real sense, but what I’ve observed is they lack the history to have an understanding of the 2nd and 3rd order implications of certain actions within a k-pop space. This is something solo stans are notorious for, for example not understanding the 2nd order implications of sending a truck to HYBE claiming HYBE is mistreating your favourite member, or the 3rd order consequences of trending hashtags to make a point, as another example. Ordered thinking can be intuitive to some people, but to most people they need to have experienced a history that shows what happens 2 or 3 steps down the line when you’re only concerned with the immediate reward, forgetting that nothing in k-pop happens in a vacuum.

Anyway, I’ll say what I think on each player in the drama yesterday.

The Solo Stans

Pre-2020, solo stans would have had the sense to not even make that request to ARMYs in the first place. That was their first mistake. Those funds would have eventually made it into ARMY buying channels (because ARMYs have the widest and most efficient systems for chart placements, solo stans do not, despite their enthusiasm), but no solo stan in their right mind would blatantly publicly request ARMY participation - it would’ve moved through DMs or solos creating ARMY cosplay accounts for that purpose. Pre-2020.

You might be wondering, what’s the damage? What’s the big deal in just telling ARMYs there’s 10 grand sitting somewhere that they can request? Shouldn’t we all put aside our ego to support Jimin?

Lol.

The thing is, Solo stans are fundamentally different from ARMYs in that they view the other members as rivals that must be defeated (1). ARMYs are inclined to support any member who needs it. And so, many solo stans simply do not trust ARMYs to spend the funds only on Jimin. And they’re right to have that fear. Most ARMYs obviously would use it for Jimin and what I’ve seen is trusted ARMY buyers and funders are responsible and provide thorough accounts of their activities, but it would be stupid to ignore that hyung-line diet solos, shippers (aka taekookers), etc, would take advantage as well. PJMs were only setting themselves up for grief by doing what they did.

Another reason it was plain moronic to publicly and blatantly announce the funds available and demand ARMY partnership with solos, is that it would set the precedent for Taehyung and Jungkook solo stans during their debuts. And I promise you, $10,000 will only be the starting amount. PJMs didn’t think beyond putting that amount of money to work, forgetting that they’ve now created a situation that demands ARMY working with taekook solos to the tune of $50,000 at least (that’s the amount I recall seeing by their fanbase in 2021 earmarked for their debuts). Nobody was paying closer attention to that drama yesterday, than other akgaes and antis. There's a lot of eyes on the fandom. PJMs, bless their heart, are often just loud, uncouth, and myopic in their thinking.

Because:

At the end of the day that money isn’t going to be sitting somewhere idle. It will definitely be spent on Jimin during his debut. Solo stans of previous eras would have had the sense to privately approach ARMY buyers and use the rest of those funds (because of course most of it will be used to get Jimin’s high chart placements in the 1st week), to support the release from week 3 which is when streams/radio typically fall off, supporting the efforts from the core of the fandom, to give Jimin’s tracks more longevity, and stronger support - a better indicator for a song’s success on the charts. But the only thinking present here yesterday was to get as many 1st week buyers with those funds to make the biggest splash as possible at debut.

The ARMYs

As I’ve said before, too many ARMYs are just plain stupid. It’s not an insult, just the facts of the matter I’m afraid. Going by how ARMY typically operates, over the course of this week (week of the release), ARMYs would have raised well over $10,000. Obviously. It’s not something the fandom typically advertises (another key difference between ARMY and solos), but anyone who has worked within these channels would tell you a lot of money gets generated in a very short amount of time and there’s a literal army of buyers in those networks. For pre-2020 ARMYs, it would’ve been enough to say, “we’re good supporting Jimin, thanks.” And blocked the solo stans right away because they’d kick up a stink the moment you actually engaged with them and lead to the exact same situation that happened yesterday. It’s the same playbook to use with taekook shippers. But that’s not what happened, which again, is another key difference between how pre-2020 ARMYs would’ve handled this vs. newer ARMYs.

ARMYs are generally wary of working extensively with solo stans because of (1) above, as it guarantees that solos will weaponize any and all achievements to tear down the other members. As an ARMY (who could bias any member) it makes zero sense to work with anyone who literally actually wants to see another member leave the group, using any solo success over their bandmates as reasons that member should do so. A second reason is that solo stans often belong to rival fandoms a.k.a. Blinks, NCTzens, Shawols, Exols, etc. and the unfortunate reality of what goes down in k-pop fandoms is that people’s lives can get ruined over pointless shit. An Egyptian ARMY who is a dental student in Egypt, was doxxed by Blinks four days ago for saying Yoongi dances better than Jennie. She’s had her living address, family address, faculty information, and medical conditions leaked by Blinks on Twitter. And one traced the leak to providing her information for a BlackPink album giveaway last year. We can joke about how these online fights are silly but ARMYs have seen enough to have more reasons against working with solos and akgaes, than they do to work with them.

It’s frankly not really about ego. It involves money and personal information and there’s real risk here.

Now, why did I say ARMYs are stupid? Because they opened an avenue to have this discussions publicly in the first place. Nothing good comes from hashing things out on the TL (there's too many eyes on the fandom), much less an issue as nuanced as this and even more so when ARMYs had already worked with Hobi and other member funding bases before on previous releases. (But on significantly smaller amounts and not directly through the largest ARMY funding bases.)

It’s not easy to explain all that in a tweet, and I doubt a lot of newer ARMYs even understand the real issues - I suspect many of them just move in a herd and think “solos bad” without fully understanding why it’s a bad idea to approach things the way solos suggested yesterday - so those ARMYs instead used nonsensical arguments like bringing up the Hanbok issue in early 2021, that solos want to take ‘credit’, and the ARMYs who have nowhere to tuck in their insecurities as it concerns Jimin (because there are definitely ARMYs - usually hyung-line and other maknae-line biases - who are extremely sensitive to any mention of how Jimin differs from the rest) let it all hang out yesterday.

Pre-2020, ARMYs would have shut down that argument on the TL as soon as it happened (and that’s if it would’ve happened in the first place), blocking solo stans which would’ve caused (pre-2020) solos to make cosplay accounts and deal with this all in DMs. It’s easier to develop trust and hold accounts accountable (lol) one on one. That’s one way the fandom did this in 2015 with Joon’s solo, in 2016 with Jimin’s Lie and other solos, and in 2020 (although for BE, solo stans tried to sabotage that release by boycotting the album… but like I said, these sort of changes started in 2020).

The Exiles

I describe the Exiles as those within the fandom who think they’re not in the fandom. We’ve all seen them, in fact I suspect some of my followers are them - they’re people who constantly think the fandom makes them ‘look bad’ and so they don’t want to be associated with its label. Many of them are sympathetic to solo stan arguments though they wouldn’t call themselves solo stans and could even despise solos for the same reason they hate ARMYs. But at the end of the day, the Exiles still play a role. Because of course they do. Most of the Exiles today also joined the fandom around 2020, and many of them haven’t ever really participated fully in supporting a release, and so they don’t have a real understanding of what goes down, and why it’s a bad idea to do exactly what Jimin’s solos were publicly requesting yesterday. But these types are often very opinionated and just fanned the flames yesterday lmao. But the plus side is this group of people will end up being the bridge when D-day arrives. It’s what I saw happen with Hobi-biased people who don’t consider themselves part of ARMY, for On The Street.

The Takeaway

Consider that mess the dress rehearsal for Taehyung and Jungkook’s solo debut, and we have PJMs to thank for that. Taekook solos would have demanded ARMYs support either way, but now they have additional ammo thanks to PJMs and they’re significantly more in number than any other member’s solo stans. More vicious too. And the core of the fandom will be in worse shape by their debut in the sense that it will be more fragmented because I’m sure yesterday’s mess left a nasty dent on some more impressionable people. These kinds of things are bound to happen given the players that have become dominant in the fandom in the last three years. What I suggest is focusing on the small pockets of followers and friends within the fandom that you know and trust - whether you’re a solo stan, ARMY, or Exile. If you’ve never participated in buying/funding, ask those people questions. Get into the habit of streaming on multiple platforms, and for God’s sake learn how to resolve shit in the DMs.

Jimin will have a lot of competition on March 17th and 24th. The deck is already stacked against him. And maybe I’m weird but all that does is make me excited because whenever things are like this for Jimin, he just… he blows it all out of the water. Contrary to popular belief, most people in the fandom, whether they bias Jimin or not, actually love him. It’s impossible not to. And they will give this release everything they’ve got. I’m already seeing it happening, ARMYs just don’t advertise it publicly because all eyes, including journalists, are on the fandom. Focus on what you can control, find a group of people who love him as much as you do, and enjoy the music when it comes.

The PR strategies all weird cause whoever leaked a video of jk with woman in his house but few days later the guy came and told everyone bes got no gf? I mean he could leave it at that yet he cleared cause he was getting comments but heyy he didn't talk about video and we all know there's too many coincidences happening in that video to say he's not jk, that is him with his dog nd a woman in his apartment Period.

The RM one was Funny for me cause it was Clearly intentional there was no "accident" there. He posted because he wanted to, he deleted because people saw it and the job was done. I remember he also posted a pic where you can visibly see a cigarette 🚬 burn mark on his pant and armys caught it right away at that time so no one was surprised he smoked. Jk's cigarette scene wasn't surprising for me but armys are stupid to think it was invasion of privacy i mean to a point it was but he also knew what he was doing. They could have done more with dating rumours like click a pic of him where it's only him and the woman in the frame if they actually wanted to make a pr stunt with that rather than whatever they did. About the jk doing lives after live and singing all of jimin's new releases that was something else.....i wasn't surprised that he used to sing jm's songs but it was unexpected given "jikook" were no where to be seen, but the first live that he did and watched all of jimin's content was actually surprising for me. Idk what anyone else belives tho but from whatever i have seen over the years one thing i belive is jungkook loves jimin as an artist. He admires jm alot. You ask him about other members' songs he might not know it but if you ask him about jimin's songs he'll know all of it with lyrics and choreo at good level. He always watch jm when jm is rehearsing like he's always there sitting infront of jm watching him when he's performing. I mean who wouldn't that's jimin who's performing. I dunno what the fuck is up with some bl drama fans, but sex and romantic gestures are NOT required in order for all serious relationships to be successful irl, so why act like it's the end of the fucking world when a couple in a bl show doesn't kiss or have sex on-screen?

A fulfilling sense of companionship can (and is in some cases) be more than enough for a couple to be happy. Hating on bl shows with characters with this kind of dynamic because the relationship doesn't feel "convincing" or the characters don't look like they have "chemistry" feels homophobic, I'm not even gonna lie ☠️ (at this point I'm pretty sure "chemistry" is just a synonym for sexual activity by how the word gets used all the fucking time, similar to how the word "spice" is used in online spaces).

I will stay bitter at how much hate was thrown at the Cherry Magic drama and movie cause they never had any on-screen kissing or sex scenes. The story doesn't even revolve around sex for the most part! The point of Cherry Magic was to emphasize the importance of not immediately judging people for their surface-level behaviors, to demonstrate how emotional vulnerability + open-mindedness contribute to forming long-lasting bonds, and to show how trust and respecting boundaries is a two-way street.

Adachi losing his virginity in the movie wasn't even that big of a moment in the entirety of the movie. To clarify, the conversation that led up to Adachi losing his virginity was important because he and Kurosawa got to finally be emotionally vulnerable with each other after weeks of pretending everything was ok during their long-distance relationship, which was very important for Adachi's and Kurosawa's character development. After Adachi lost his magic though? The scene brushed by so quickly.

He lost his magic, got surprised, realized he was ready to move forward with his relationship with Kurosawa without using the magic as a crutch, and then continued living his life as an average 30-year-old man for the rest of the film (with the love of his life by his side, of course) AND THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!! COUPLES DON'T NEED TO KISS AND FUCK CONSTANTLY TO SHOW THAT THEY'RE IN LOVE IN MEDIA!!! IF A FICTIONAL COUPLE DOES KISS AND FUCK A LOT, THAT'S OK TOO!!!

Would I have liked to see Adachi and Kurosawa kiss? Sure! I'm a gay man, I like gay men kissing lol. Is it worth throwing a fucking fit over the two guys only having meals together, holding hands, hugging each other tightly, and nuzzling their faces in the crooks of each others' necks? NO!!! It's not bad for bl dramas to show romantic and sexual intimacy—I think it's great that a lot of shows do have those aspects to them—but it's not fucking cool to shit on bl shows that don't have those kinds of scenes. Both can and should coexist. There is no correct way for a couple's dynamic to function and it's stupid to act like there is one. There are plenty of ways for people, in general, to show that they love and care about each other.

Between Us episode 10 thoughts

Loved that Win answered Team’s phone, that Team’s mom knew who he was, AND that Team’s parents 100% clocked their feelings for each other. I think it’s interesting because Team parents seem both very aware of Team and also very oblivious to him. All of which is likely directly related to the trauma of Ton’s death. Things connected to that event are blind spots - leaving Team with a very odd family. He’s supported but there are huge gaping holes that he has to navigate alone in the dark.

Not surprised one of them got sick - cliché though it is - for the record BEING IN THE RAIN DOES NOT GET YOU SICK. However, given their emotional states and the exposure their immune systems would have tanked a bit - so Win (who was already sick let me be clear - it’s a virus not rain) became symptomatic quick. It was cute to see Team caring.

I want more Pharm Team friendship!! I need it…I know there’s probably a lot in UWMA but I’m so meh on that show I skipped through the first 8 episodes and gave up….yes….I know….don’t say it. Maybe I’ll just have to write my own fics about them.

At least we know it will actually be resolved next episode. I get the frustration, but the whole thing feels super authentic. Team is a kid who has a past of trauma and incomplete parenting - based on his convos with Pharm, he hasn’t been in love before and Win was probably his first sexual encounter - then he over hears the swim trio basically say “don’t play with Team” and while there’s more to that convo he heard, Team insecurities have him stuck in the “toy” “play” and “fun” bits. And of course Win has shown Team how much he loves him - but Team is stuck on “Win’s nice and his actions often get misinterpreted for more than friendship” and Win hasn’t directly refuted that.

And Win is very similar. Things aren’t often his - does he understand his silence is causing problems? Yes - FINALLY. But he’s silence was also from a place of desperation and a desire to hold onto Team. We know Win’s never been in love before, he doesn’t really grasp how to go about it.

Lastly - Tul… lol well that’s one way of having the secret revealed - next episode - Waan, if nothing else, is lucky you knew who he was because Wiew is probably at school, Win’s likely off with Team somewhere, Mom is mostly MIA, and I don’t think Dad would check until Waan misses work. Though so help me….you call Win or an ambulance you do NOT drive there to help him……..I do not care if it’s a drama that would be stupid af

REBELDE S2 WAS A HOT MESS (major spoilers ahead)

Plot

I think conceptually speaking having Gus as a villain this season was a good idea. Who can be a bigger enemy to music than s producer only interested in money who exploits his artists? I hated that he died in the end. Biggest wtf of the season, now he exits the next season completely and our mains are left to deal with the fallout in what most likely will be an attempt to copy Elite. Rebelde is about the music and the highschool drama not an student accidentally killing one of the most important producers in the country, what?????

Characters

Esteban was interesting this season, i like that tried to kind of make him the villain. Him getting sucked into Gus bullshit and doing whatever it took to be the best was a nice change from him being really plain last season. I hated him 80% of this seasons runtime but at least this was intentional on the writer's part. I'm so not looking forward to the murder plot with him next season.

Jana works better when she is alone than with Esteban, they make each other lamer, I thought her arc about not having to always please everybody was cool, and i don't think her conflict at the beginning of the season with MJ was nonsensical at all. She's 16, of course she's jealous of someone who could steal her spotlight, not to mention MJ was her friend and left her and the band to go with Jana's shitty ex lol. I like that the girls ended up together at the end and it didn't feel like something forced to me, so many things had happened to them by that point that the reason they were fighting in the first place probably felt stupid anyways.

Dixon is one my favorites lol, this guy is ride or die with everybody. He was willing to keep going with the band, to forgive MJ, he was even trying to help Esteban before he turned into an asshole, i think he's actually the most mature one of the bunch. Whether he was the best in the class depends on personal taste but I think it was well done in the sense that he was the only one to stand up to Gus and remain true to himself as an artist. I like his friendship with Jana cause we almost never get platonic relationship in teen media between girls and boys without feelings being involved, i screamed when they kissed but I hope they keep it as a "we were just too drunk" thing. I liked him with MJ at first, now I think he deserves better.

MJ didn't really have an arc this season, she was just doing her own thing, the actress is a really talented singer so I wish she was more present in the race for Gus's contract. I think she and Sebastian were pretty cute together but I could see their breakup coming from a mile away (more on this in his section). I didn't mind her bit with the pregnancy scare (sin gorrito no hay fiesta, guys) and i just want her to have more to do next season.

Fucking Sebastian. I like to believe that if he knew Gus was such a monumental asshole he wouldn't have done what he did at the end. I thought his arc about being a better person because of MJ was cute however what was wrong from the start is he was changing because of her so I knew the moment she was gone, he was going to go back. My guy just needs therapy and i would have more sympathy for him if his entire villain arc in s1 wasn't based around him being classist lol. (Also I can't believe we were doing the i can fix him in the year of our lord 2022).

I hate what they did to Andi and Emelia. I didn't mind Andi's addiction arc per se because it's pretty common in the music industry, I hate that it made her absent for a pretty good chunk of the major drama this season and that they broke her up with Emelia that way. The thing is, i don't think before the song thing they were actually "bad for each other" their relationship didn't have any major problems before so breaking them up was the most homophobic act of 2022.

Luka is above good and evil in the show, he's kind of an ass but he has been like that since day one and everybody has learned to tolerate him so really, he's just fun. I hope they would've spent more time with him an Okane being actually together but they are only a thing in the last 3 episodes and Luka is literally unconscious in the last one so we were given cruuuuuuumbs. I thought the scarf thing was really cute, I love them, please don't take them away.

I didn't expect much from Okane but he was a pleasant surprise. It's a shame they ruined his storyline with Jana by adding the sex tape thing because he gave her actual good advice (apart from the drugs) and i think they could have s great friendship dynamic, he could certainly make her more interesting. Idk where he went at the end, i just want him to be left alone in this entire bullshit plotline and be happy and home with Luka.

hmmmm to be fair, you're talking about a pretty extreme brand of radfem. Those openly mocking abused women and throwing slurs are regularly called out by more "regular" radfem. But it's true those doing so come off as truly miserable and sad. It's interesting that a bunch of them dated men and did awful dating choices, yet feel entitled to lecture women in happy relationship how fake their life is bc men are unredeemable and will ultimately hurt them...

One thing I hate LOATHE about radfem and is pretty common with them is their entitlement to speak over ALL women.... while gatekeeping their community. The name of the game in wrestling is to make as much money as possible. If the Bucks and Omega really are refusing to work with Punk because of "feelings", they are even stupider than I thought. Possibly the hottest angle of their careers and they'd say no? STUPID!

The Elite spent months trolling about the situation, only to not wanting to work a possible money feud. They had no problem playing into “fuck cm punk” chants, featuring them on BTE, and mocking him and the fight though lol grow the fuck up

I can't believe I'm even saying this, but Jericho is the adult in the room and it's probably time Tony Khan thinks about removing the Elite as EVPs. Putting feelings and friends first over business is a detriment to the business Tony is TRYING to grow.

Shawn and Bret worked together and they legit hated one another's guts, there's no excuse. Matt Hardy, Edge and Lita worked together despite the fact that there was REAL LIFE hatred over the real life affair.

If I'm someone on the roster with no horse in this Elite/Punk thing but I see The Elite, who are EVPs, won't even try to resolve conflict… I don't know man.

If they're going to be EVPs and represent AEW, their FIRST priority should be to work things out with CM Punk and bring this roster together. Put aside all egos. Otherwise they should be removed from power. This is the only solution if they don't want to do what's best for the business they started.

Do you know what kind of message it sends if they refuse to try and repair the chaos this whole thing caused? It's proving what Punk said at the All Out media scrum was right. About them being children & being irresponsible EVPs. It says we shouldn't make amends and do what's best for AEW, it says we should let the drama and chaos rule the company and it says if there is someone you don't want to work with, then you shouldn't despite it being what's best for AEW. It says they don't want to do what's best for All In. They don't want to gross a big money feud. They don't want to turn what at first was a detriment to AEW and turn that detriment into a positive and make a shit ton of money.

It's one thing if they were just one of the boys and just didn't want to work with the guy, but they are representatives of the company they founded and if they refuse to do business, then they should just not be EVP's.

no but like the writers were SO careless with the throuple???? like the s1 finale had aki and audrey going thru all of that to show max how much he meant to them, and given their persistence in making their case that the three of them should try this, I was expecting s2 to like actually let us see them navigate this new dynamic. show us the domesticity, the fluff, and yes of course the challenges as well, but give us some fun! but we didn’t get that!

the writers only cared about what drama they could wring out of the dynamic. suddenly they can’t communicate at all and are constantly withholding their feelings from each other -- aki and audrey sabotaging max’s attempts to go public instead of telling him that it’s scary to be out; aki being nervous about bottoming (pls don’t get me started on how much I hate that the show was obsessed w the trio’s sex life........ I do not have the time for that on this post) and going to another student for tips, instead of being upfront w his partners; audrey assuming aki and max are going to abandon her and causing that whole scene before admitting her fears instead of just admitting how her issues with her parents are causing insecurity in their rship.

and then in episode 8 -- EPISODE 8 OF 10!!!! -- these writers decided to have audrey and max completely ignore aki’s film festival bc they were too busy with this stupid feud with julien. and then when aki is lamenting about feeling ignored, ingrid kissed him -- WHICH WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE ON THE SHOW CALLING THAT CHEATING???? AKI DID NOT INITIATE AND HAD NO INTEREST IN INGRID MY GOD!! THAT’S NOT CHEATING!!!

but anyway aki is rightfully upset over the way audrey and max minimized this event for him and the narrative focuses on the fucking “cheating” aspect????? aki is never allowed to vocalize this feeling of being dismissed and sidelined??? and like my god the way these last three episodes made audrey look so bad, like her decision when learning about aki’s “indiscretion” is that she and aki should hide it from max?????? and like......... it’s just so fucked up that the season 2 finale’s thesis was literally the exact opposite of the season 1 finale thesis. in s1, aki and audrey were adamant that they don’t work as a couple anymore and their feelings for max are so strong and important to them. the season 2 thesis is that aki and audrey are an inseparable unit. like????????? aki and audrey were literally the ones that proposed “all for all or none for none” and then when max takes that seriously, aki and audrey are like “lol nah we still wanna be together”

like I do believe joshua when he says the throuple was meant to be endgame but with this utterly careless handling, it truly does not feel like it was worth it for the writers to go there at all. like god we got NOTHING in terms of them being domestic and having fun bc it was just nonstop drama and that’s when we actually got content of the three of them together.
