How would a pool part with everyone go?

The Pool Party From Hell

• They rent out the rooftop terrace for Kunsel's birthday pool party. (Kunsel can barely swim btw. This is red flag #1)

• I would say red flag #2 is Zack and Cloud dragging in a whole Kalua pork while chanting "Pork par-tay!" but it's actually the birthday cake Roche brought in that reads "Happy birthday Knussel"

• Lazard shows up to wish Kunsel happy birthday but stays around to chaperone after he overhears Cissnei ask Angeal when the live ducks are coming in.

• Oh yeah, speaking of Cissnei, her and a bunch of other Turks showed up too (Cissnei is besties with Kunsel and the others tagged along).

• That being said, Reno showing up with a water gun called "The pulverizer 5000" then shooting a geyser at Cloud, who's thrown into the pool, is red flag #3.

• Angeal: WHO'S PLAYLIST IS THIS? THEY'VE PLAYED WAP ON LOOP FOR 20 MINUTES NOW

Kunsel: Excuuuse me for wanting to listen to real music on my birthday.

• Genesis is the designated drinks mixer. He's working the bar in nothing but board shorts while chatting up the pretty girls who come by.

• The prettiest girl (Sephiroth) comes by, plops himself at the bar and puts his head down. (He's also wearing nothing but board shorts and the girls' eyes are immediately on him

Sephiroth: I'm not having fun.

Genesis: Can't see how. If I were you I'd be canon-balling into the pool, playing soccer with Zack or ...... *he squints at something in the distance* what's Cloud doing?

Sephiroth: Reno blasted him with the pulverizer so he's making him eat it.

Genesis: Or helping Cloud assault Reno! See? Endless fun to be had.

Sephiroth: It's hard for me to let loose.

Genesis (💡): I've got just the thing that'll help you!

• Genesis immediately turns around and starts concocting a bright red drink.

Sephiroth: I'm not sure alcohol will help me. My body has a hard time reacting to alcohol the way it's supposed to.

Genesis: Don't worry! That won't happen with this drink.

• He slides the neon red shot toward Sephiroth.

Sephiroth: What is this?

Genesis: Don't worry about it. Just drink it.

Sephiroth: ???????

Genesis: *groan* Just drink it!

• Sephiroth apprehensively downs the shot in one go.

Genesis: So? Do you feel any different?

Sephiroth: Not really.

Genesis: Don't worry. It'll hit.

Sephiroth: Yes, but how long will it take to—(⊙‸⊙)

Genesis: Did it hit?

Sephiroth: (⊙‸⊙)

Genesis: It hit.

• Meanwhile the live ducks arrived and are swimming around the pool while half the people play Marco Polo and the other half dance.

• Reno got ahold of the aux cord and is now playing his lewd music on full blast while Lazard and Tseng stand at the bottom of the stage screaming "TURN IT OFF"

• Reno's response? "What? I can't hear you the music is too loud!" *Said while cranking it up louder*

• Zack tried to pet a duck, angered it, and now Elena and Angeal are trying to pull it off his face. Cloud is actively filming and laughing.

• Shotgun and Balto (turk) start pouring gallons of soap into the pool to make it foam up.

• Red flag #4 is Roche rolling in a jet ski on some wheels in hopes to use it in the pool.

• He never gets to do that though.

• Hurricane Sephiroth rips Rude's glasses from his face, puts them on, then canon-balls into the water with Genesis. Both are clearly beyond drunk when they start sparring right there in the pool.

• All hell breaks loose after that.

• One thing I will mention is that Genesis and hyper-drunk-Sephiroth end up with their arms around each other screaming the lyrics to Mamma Mia (Abba).

I Sold a Book! Let's Talk About It.

So if you’ve been paying attention at all (and it’s 100% fine if you don’t – trust me; there are plenty of days when I don’t feel like paying attention to myself one bit), you may have heard that I have a new series debuting next fall (2024). It’s called THE CHRONICLES OF VIKTOR VALENTINE and yes, it takes place in the same world as THE CHRONICLES OF VLADIMIR TOD and THE SLAYER CHRONICLES. But, like, apart from the announcement that we’re going back to Elysia, I haven’t really spoken much about the book/series and what it’s going to feature. So why don’t I do that now?

First off, I sold the first two books of this series back in September of 2021, and I’ve been DYING to talk about it ever since. But there are certain things in publishing that we don’t do – and a big one in my case is that I never discuss a book until my publisher has announced our deal. So I kept quiet. Kinda. For the most part, anyway. Then, just a few weeks ago, I got the news that my happy news was public, and I word-vomited all over TikTok and then I disappeared for a while. Why?

Oh. No biggie. Just a much-needed family vacay to celebrate my 50th birthday, my son Jacob’s 30th birthday, and Jacob’s engagement to his beautiful fiancée, Jordan (!!!). (She had NO idea and it was just the perfect moment. Love them so much.)

But now I’m back and I feel a bit like Crowley in Good Omens 2 when he walks into the bookshop after he and Azirophale had argued and Crowley says, “I’m back.” In other words, I’m back. I’m here. I don’t really have a plan for what I’m going to say, but I know one thing is for certain. I’m not doing the apology dance, dammit.

So what’s the series going to cover? Will you see Vlad again? Will you find out what the deal was with Snow’s eyes?

The short answer is YES! The longer answer is: YES…eventually. 

See, I plan to include as many of the characters you know and love from CoVT in this series, but there are a few of them, so that’s gonna take time. Am I going to give you all the answers to all the questions you still have about CoVT? Oh yes. Just give me time.

This series is about a boy named Viktor who learns that not only are vampires real…but his parents are the most famous vampires of all—Dracula and Elizabeth Bathory. Viktor is a nervous kid as it is. His chest often feels tight with anxiety. He’s pretty insecure about his friendship with his bestie, Damon (who has amazing hair, btw). And don’t get me started on his mean next-door neighbor. The new neighbor across the street, however…

Her name is Alys. Keep an eye on that one, Minions.

Viktor lives in a town called Nowhere. It’s a small, Midwestern town. Quaint, normal, boring. But that’s only because Viktor has yet to unearth the town’s secrets. But I digress…

I could ramble on about Viktor and how his life is tied to Elysia, but I’d rather you find out for yourself…staring in Fall 2024.

You let out a heavy sigh as your bedroom door shut behind you, leaning your back against it as the weight of the world rested heavy on your shoulders.

What. A. Fucking. Day.

You slid down to the ground, feeling pretty defeated.

It was your birthday. You’d just turned the big 2-0 and while you hadn’t been expecting the world, you’d been expecting something. Not necessarily some giant party, just a singular day of validation. 

Couldn’t the world just cut you some slack? Hey! You were born today, let me go ahead and at least make you feel special, even if nothing eventful happens! But no. You’d woken up feeling like it was just another day. 

And despite the special occasion, so had your parents. They’d wished you a happy birthday, of course. That’s about it. Gave you some money, not much but something and you were grateful for that. You just wished they’d try a little more to be the parents you’d always wanted, at least for the day.

Instead, you got to argue with them over stupid things that weren’t major. It’s like all they did was pick you apart. You thought maybe this would be the one day they’d just be your happy, loving idealistic family but it seemed those only existed in John Hughes’ movies. (Except the Breakfast Club, but you hated that movie so who cared?)

You kicked off your shoes, abandoned your bag by the door and stood up to walk to your bed where you collapsed, just ready for the day to be over. You didn’t even care it wouldn’t be your birthday anymore.

You didn’t get two minutes of peace before your landline rang. Probably just another extended family member calling to wish you a happy birthday and then staying on the line for an awkward conversation you didn’t want to have.

You didn’t even get up, just wiggled until you were close enough to pull it off the receiver.

“Hello?”

“You don’t sound so happy to hear from me.”

You pushed yourself up on your arms, perking up immediately at the sound of your boyfriend’s voice.

“Eddie!” He’d called at the asscrack of dawn that morning, wanting to be the first to wish you a happy birthday but you hadn’t been able to see him because you couldn’t get the day off of work, either. Amazing luck.

“Okay, now you sound surprised to hear me, which is weird because I’m your boyfriend and a pretty decent one—I hope—so you couldn’t possibly be entertaining the notion that I wouldn’t want to physically see you, right?” 

“Good god, Eddie. That sentence was a mile long!”

Eddie’s laughter rang out and you couldn’t help but smile, already managing to feel a little better. Eddie always managed to do that.

“Shut up. How was your day?”

“Do you want me to tell you about it before I shut up or…?”

“You get real brave over the phone, you know that? You better have the same energy when I see you, now tell me about your day, birthday girl.”

So you did, you ranted and vented to him about how the work day hadn’t been completely insufferable but the fact that you had to go into work sucked and the hours had dragged. Then you told him about how tense things were with your parents and how you were just tired.

“My poor baby, that’s it. I’m coming to pick you up.”

“You don’t have to do that, Eddie.” Except, you really wanted him to. Just wanted to get out of the house and away from your worries. Just for today. 

You heard the sound of keys violently jingling.

“You hear that? That’s the sound of me already on my way. I’ll be there in 10, okay? Spend the night?”

He was perfect. 

“Yeah, I’ll sleepover.”

“Good. See you soon, I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

You made a kissing sound which Eddie reciprocated before he hung up and you jumped out of bed, hurriedly changing out of your work clothes and into something cute but comfortable. You packed a couple of new toiletries in your purse but you had a few drawers and some space in Eddie’s closet dedicated to your stuff so you didn’t need to grab too much.

You heard Eddie’s van before you saw it, poking your head out your window to confirm he’d pulled up. You didn’t bother waiting for him to walk up to the door (because he would), running down the stairs and out the front door instead.

He’d already gotten out of the van and had been walking down your driveway when you came out. Upon seeing you, he opened his arms and you ran right into them, immediately shoving your face into his chest to inhale his comforting scent as his arms wrapped around you and he pressed a multitude of kisses to the side of your head.

“Fuck, I missed you so much.” He sighed out, arms tightening around you.

“You saw me yesterday.” You pointed out, but you knew what he meant. He’d only been holding you for a couple of seconds and the tension was already fleeing your body.

“That’s too long of a gap period, baby. Need you all the time. C’mon, let’s go home.”

He kept an arm wrapped around your shoulders as he led you to the van, opening the door for you so you could climb in.

You raised your arms to make it easier for him to buckle you in (a ritual Eddie was keen on not ever breaking) and he gave you a kiss once he tugged on the seatbelt to make sure it was secure.

It lasted a little longer than it should have—proof that Eddie had indeed missed you—before he was pulling away.

He pinched your cheek and you slapped his hand away with a groan (and a smile), “Stop!”

Eddie laughed as he closed your door and walked around the front of the van to hop into the driver’s side. You’d been fully expecting him to blast one of his favorite metal tapes, watched him thumb through his selections before he snatched one up and shoved it into the cassette player. To your surprise, the mixtape you had made for him began to play, the chime from Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ ringing out through the speakers of the van.

Eddie flashed you a cheesy grin and took your hand before he pulled away from the curb.

The drive was mostly quiet—save for the music—but comforting. Eddie held your hand the entire time, thumb rubbing soothing circles into the back of your hand.

When you got to the trailer, Eddie encouraged you to slide out through the driver’s side rather than use your door and when you tried, he quickly sat you down in the driver’s seat while he blocked your exit, intent on making out with you a little before you headed inside. You didn’t protest when he took your face into his hands and pressed eager kisses to your lips before he was licking into your mouth. He was in complete control of the kiss, one of his hands moving from your face to the back of your neck, and you were very okay with that.

Eventually he had to pull away, couldn’t deprive you of air, and rested his forehead against yours as he regained control of his own breathing, his voice a hoarse whisper, “C’mon, angel. Let’s get you inside.”

He moved his hands to your hips, helping you jump down. You all but ran to the front door while he secured the van and dug around your purse until you found your keys, a shiny new addition added to the ring, given to you a few months ago by one Wayne Munson. You unlocked the door but waited until Eddie joined you to open it and walk in, letting out a scream as your friends jumped out of their hiding places (there were very few places to actually hide so they were mostly bunched up in one spot).

“SURPRISE!!!” 

Eddie gently ushered you forward so he could close the door behind you.

The kids—teens, now but thinking about that hurt your brain and your heart—ran up to you first, surrounding you in a group hug that Robin and Argyle immediately joined, prompting the rest to follow.

“Oh, gosh, you guys scared me!”

“I don’t know how, we were mainly standing out in the open because someone wouldn’t let the rest of us hide behind the couch—OW!” Steve groaned as Eden kicked his ankle. She hopped over and gave you a hug as well.

“Happy birthday,” Steve finally grumbled out, slightly pained as he leaned down to rub his sore ankle.

Wayne chuckled, drawing your attention to where he sat in the recliner. He had not one, but two birthday cones strapped around on his head, making him appear to have colorful horns, courtesy of Erica, as she’d been the one to come out from hiding behind his chair. “Happy birthday, kid.”

“CAKE.” Dustin called out, making a break for the kitchen as the rest of them followed, Steve trying to push his way to the front to keep Dustin from ruining the cake he’d been in charge of picking up.

Erica ran up to you and gestured for you to lean down, then she placed a birthday crown on your head before running to join the others.

“Were you actually surprised or just faking it?” Eddie asked and you turned to face him, beaming at the way your day had gone from bad to good.

“I didn’t see any of this coming,” you admitted and he hissed in victory, planting a big kiss on your forehead. 

“C’mon, it’s not over yet.” He placed his large hands on your shoulders and guided you to the small, overly crowded kitchen.

Eden had insisted the younger kids eat some Pizza while Jonathan and Argyle handed out slices of cake (after making sure they also had a slice of pizza). Nancy was working on making some popcorn and Robin and Barb were in charge of drinks.

After the food had been handed out, and everyone settled down in the living room, they all bombarded you with their gifts.

Lucas and Max had got you a scarf, Will had presented you with a painting he’d done of the entire group (Steve had not been so pleased with the size of his head in comparison to his body), Jane and Erica had given you a couple of new cassettes you’d been eyeing, Mike got you a colorful set of DND dice (you didn’t play with them but he was trying to get you to). Dustin, Robin and Steve had gotten you a TRC Walkie Talkie so you could now also be included in the random shenanigans (and so Dustin now had access to yet another person with a car who could drive him around) while Barb, Nancy, Jonathan, Argyle and Eden had purchased you a new Walkman (yours had broke). Eden had Will paint it to resemble a Bible which had cracked you up. 

After all the gift wrap was cleaned up, everyone finally got to eat and you realized what the popcorn was for when they popped The Goonies into the Munson VCR.

The evening had been perfect, while the movie was entertaining, the group commentary was more so.

Steve kept trying to compare himself to Brand but Eddie wasn’t having it because they also compared you to Andy and he was not amused with the romantic implication. Robin pointed out that he was most like Troy and Jonathan was Brand and Steve had thrown some popcorn at her.

Dustin proclaimed himself to be Chunk then did the Truffle Shuffle which had the group roaring with laughter and Wayne almost in tears.

Barb was almost starstruck that her glasses were similar to Stef’s, and Robin got all soft-eyed, insisting that Barb reminded her a great deal of Stef (you’d been eyeing them the whole night, expecting to see them trying to secretly hold hands). 

When the Goonies had saved the day, everyone cleaned up and headed out, hugging you as they filed out of the trailer and piled into the cars you somehow managed to overlook when entering the trailer park.

Wayne had also given you a hug when he left for work. Then it was just you and Eddie. 

You were pretty—and happily—exhausted so the two of you got ready for bed. He’d given you one of his older Hellfire shirts to wear, it was soft and worn out from all the washes it’d been through, making it your favorite. Before you could climb into his bed, Eddie stopped you, a hand on your shoulder.

“I didn’t get to give you my gift yet.”

“You didn’t have to get me anything, Eds. This was more than I could have ever expected.”

Eddie shushed you, digging around one of his drawers before he pulled something out and hid it behind his back as he stalked towards you, sly smile on his face.

“We all had to tell each other what we were getting you so we wouldn’t have any duplicate gifts and those little shits took all the good ideas, but there’s something I’ve been meaning to give you for a while now. This seemed like the perfect opportunity.”

Eddie sat on the bed next to you, clad in a pair of sweats and what had used to be a band shirt (it had the sleeves and neckline ripped off so it was more of a tank).

He chewed on his lower lip as he brought the hand containing the ring box to his front, holding it out to you.

You took it, squinting at him in suspicion but nothing could wipe the smile off your face, especially when he started playing with his hair, a nervous habit.

You popped the lid of the box open, seeing a thick metal ring nestled there (much like his but not as bulky) with a flower design ingrained in it. A spoon ring, crafted from antique spoons with beautiful detailing to them. You’d been wanting one for a while, just because they reminded you of Eddie and the thought of rocking something similar to something he wore always made you giddy.

“Eddie, it’s beautiful!” You plucked it from its place and set the box aside as you slid it onto your ring finger. To your delight, it fit! It was a little loose, but nothing that would bother you since you liked to play with your rings, it wouldn’t be sliding off super easily. 

Eddie grinned, pleased that you enjoyed his gift. You were still missing some context, though. He cleared his throat, fingers tugging at the ends of his hair, “It’s-uhm, it’s a promise ring.”

You stopped twirling the ring around your finger and gave him your full attention.

“I—fuck, okay. Look, we both know I love you. I love you so much, it’s kind of insane cause I’m pretty obsessed with you. Like I’d rather hang out with you than go to a concert and that’s saying something.”

You nodded in agreement, Eddie loved his concerts. He’d taken you along with him since you had started dating and you could see why he loved them so much, he was in his element.

“I love you,” he repeated, taking the hand which now held his promise. “I want to be with you till the end of my days. And in every life after that. So, this is my promise that we really will be together forever. Stuck with me as a soulmate.” 

“I’m never taking it off,” you stated before yanking him down to the mattress with you. Eddie laughed and went willingly, pressing kisses to the sides of your face and your neck as you held him.

Later, when the two of you were cuddled up together and covered in blankets, you teetered on the edge of sleep; tired, but unwilling to let a single second of the night pass without appreciating it. Eddie’s fingers trailed up and down your spine, further lulling you as your head rested on his chest.

“I’m sorry you had a sad birthday,” he whispered and you sleepily shook your head.

“It started off like that but you turned it ‘round. Best birthday ever.”

“I’ll make sure the rest of them are, too.” Eddie promised and you sighed happily.

“I love you.” You mumbled, pressing a kiss to his chest, just over his demon tattoo.

“I love you more.”

“No, shut up.”

Eddie’s chest shook as he chuckled, “There’s that energy.”

30 is just the beginning

I've recently seen a few people lamenting turning 30. I guess it hits differently when you're told at 29 that you're unlikely to live to see 31, but gazing back at that time from where I sit in my mid-40s I'm struck by the sheer amount of shit I've accomplished since 30. I'm sure conquering death had something to do with lighting a fire under my ass, but seriously, you can achieve SO much more than you ever thought possible.

I started compiling this list for myself and I'm choosing to share it now, not as a "look what I've done!" bragging exercise, but as a way to remind myself that I'm capable of doing epic shit.

And that we are ALL capable of change, growth, and adventure no matter what our age. Your thirties don't have to be about settling down or settling for.

In my 20s, I:

Studied abroad

Eurorailed around Europe for 6 weeks

Survived meningitis (the first time)

Graduated with an Hon BSc

Moved to a different country

Met my bestie

Started my dream job

Started running

Started sewing

Was on the front page of the New York Times

Had my first boyfriends (got dumped by one checking himself into a mental hospital in another country)

Got paid to work backstage at Glastonbury several times

Went to literally thousands of gigs

Received my first ever bonus check

…7 more years to go??

Frankly, I can't wait to see what my 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s have in store if my first 40-odd years have been so endlessly interesting. Happy birthday.

Corals Monthly Update #3

HOHOHO!! FIRST BLOG POST OF 2023 AND I’M NEARLY 2 WEEKS LATE!!! Super sorry about the long wait! I’ve had tests recently and only got off of school like a few days ago haha! So! Welcome back to my monthly update on what I get up to in my life! Now, before we get into January, I, for the final time, have to tap back into the previous month. Curse past me for thinking the 21st was a good day to start doing these!!! ANYHOW! The rest of December and early January were a BLAST! But lemmie talk about what happened after I made the last update. CHRISTMAS!! I had a great time with my family and I got a bunch of fluffy things cuz that’s apparently the easiest thing to get me now. We also had dinner on Christmas day with my Grandparents like every year. Over-all that day was very fun! I even got drunk playing Minecraft which was funny for everyone in VC. The next few days weren’t anything exciting, however my brother Finn had a bunch of his friends over for his birthday which was chaotic. But the excitement picks back up on the 28th! BECAUSE SKYE AND VI CAME OVER FOR NEW YEARS!! We’ve been planning this since like, June, so it was awesome seeing them again! We did all kinds of stuff from shopping to playing some awesome games! (I am now chronically addicted to Ultra Kill thanks guys)

We even did some baking! Here is our glorious creation I dubbed, “The Jimothy”. 

Overall the rest of December was awesome! I’m glad I got to celebrate New Years with my besties! Overall, I’ll give it a 10/10! Best way to end 2022 >:D Here’s a few more misc photos hehehhehe

NOW! FOR JANUARY!! January started off still vibing with the guys. However they would then go home on the 4th which sucks. But before that, both Skye and I spent a lot of money on consoles that are almost as old as ourselves. They bought a fucking PS Vita and I got a motherfucking Wii. We both had fun with em and I even helped Skye homebrew their Vita since I wanted to put PebbleCD on it (I failed but shut uuup) But yea, sadly the guys had to go and it sucked! But I still had a great time. There’s a bit of a gap here right up until the 12th, where finally, the big event happened. CAREY IN THE HOUSE WENT LIVE!! I had finished it a few days prior but figured I’d build up hype by posting it on that Friday. AND IT SURE WORKED! The video blew up faster than any of my videos before it! I am so happy the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I also love how the only main complaint that was common amongst people was that Careys exaggerated accent was annoying which, yea can’t argue against. THERE’S ALSO THE FACT THAT MR WULF AND I WERE ABLE TO ARCHIVE THE ORIGINAL EDDSWORLD BANG BOOM SPLAT PROJECT FILE!!

This all started because Wulf wanted to edit the credits for his arcade BBS build since I was helping him out and since I said SWF modding is hard he just casually asked Psycosis and after seeing his WIP cabinet, gave Wulf the FLA! So a current “BBS arcade version” is in the works by yours truly thanks to both the generosity of Psycosis and the fact that Mr Wulf is a fucking mad man who could stop global warming in a month if he wanted to LOL! For those outside of Ireland or have a different name for em, Mock exams are, well, exams that act like a practice run for your finals. They’re always harder than the actual finals and are usually graded stricter too! Why? Who knows! The Irish education system is a joke. I feel like I did somewhat ok in them anyway? Some were definitely worse than others but overall it was more of an inconvenience. I did get this really cool art piece out of it however.

Exams would later spill over into February and like I said at the start, I finished and got off school a few days ago. Overall, this month was about a 7/10. It was pretty good, especially in the Eddsworld department, but mocks and other personal tid bits I didn’t mention here dragged it down for me. Since February seems to be mostly me being off school, I hope this month will be better haha! Only time will tell! Thank you for reading! And I hope to see you next month!! ok so i've known my bestie forever, our parents went to school together. and with this guy's parents too so me and my best friend are both friends with him but since his family lives far we don't see each other that much . anyway 2 months ago there was a wedding in our parents circle and we were all invited so we saw each other a lot even before and after the wedding. and the three of us kinda sticked together and we became all really close and we talked everyday. but he always seem way more interested in her and he's looking at her with such adoration. plus he asked her if she ever pictured the two of them in a relationship which doesn't really leave much room for doubt. except my bestie is absolutely not interested in him and she doesn't know i have a crush on him. he's just so nice, and i know i'll get over it and it'll pass but it still kinda hurt you know? cause everyone always has a crush on my best friend and so many people are interested in her (not that i blame them cos she's a gem and she's beautiful so i understand) and i shouldn't be jealous, i know, but i still am cause nobody ever seem interested in me and it's stupid but i can't help feeling this way.

oh btw i had really great notes on my end of year exam!! i'm so happy i was really stressed about it but i did great! 😊

I'm sorry for the delay in answering this btw it's been storming here so my wi-fi has been in and out all day!

omg stop you're so kind to me I genuinely love talking to everyone and I consider you and many others here my friends so y'all make it easy to just repay the love I've been given!!

it's actually only been a year bub! I only know because I looked it up to refresh my memory about what we talked about before cause like I said a lot had happened and I couldn't remember if we'd talked since my accident. it was last year after my birthday and after harry's house came out. but really it's alright I don't want you to feel bad!

thank you so much for the well wishes ❤ I realized after that I left some detail out of what happened to me and didn't explain it very well, but if I ramble on too much just feel free to skip over it! basically not only was I kicked but I went flying about 8 feet across my yard too, which caused me to have a compression fracture on T11 of my spine. I also had a contusion on my right hip (which is just a really, really deep and bad bruise), which is where the point of impact was. I will (hopefully) continue to improve, but having arthritis still causes me to have a ton of pain if I do too much physical activity. that part of my spine is also partly collapsed and always will be, but my neurosurgeon said that as long as my arms and legs are still okay that I should just slowly start to get back to "normal" life and listen to my body as I go along! I asked if I needed to keep up with x-rays or anything over the years but he said my symptoms would get much, much worse if the collapse got any worse and I would know I need to come back to see him. he also said IF I would've had to have surgery that it would take like 12 pins and a huge rod to correct things so I'm so SO lucky that things weren't any worse!

thank you so much for helping us manifest!!! it means more than you'll ever know because it hasn't been easy so far trying to find a place 😔 we live in such a rural area in GA and we originally wanted to stay in the same town because I was supposed to start a new job in january and we wanted to be close to my work. I probably won't get to take that job now (which is a whole other long story), and since there are very limited options we're probably gonna have to broaden our search to surrounding towns that are slightly bigger! we ultimately want a house together, but I think we're gonna have to settle for an apartment for now until we can find the perfect place for us. anything would be better than here rn though!!!

idk if I've ever talked much about my dad to you but we have as no contact of a relationship as possible even though we live in the same house. he's the reason for my accident and so the day it happened and we were waiting for the ambulance to come my mom told him that we wouldn't be coming back to this house. but then we had no choice we didn't have the money or resources needed to go elsewhere. I was worried as I got better she would forget about that and slip out of that mindset, but thankfully she hasn't! she just told me tonight we'd probably go look at apartments next week and that she can't wait to get out of here. I could truly cry at the thought of having a safe, clean, and comfortable space away from him. it's what my mom, my siblings, and our dogs all deserve!

how is school going? how much longer do you have to go? and oohh I'm so happy you got to experience a concert in pit!! it's amazing but it is soooo exhausting I hope you got lots of rest afterward 😊 when I saw harry I wore my ankle support thing to my pit concert to because I knew my feet would be swollen the next day probably. and taylor swift that's so cool!! 15. What’s a concept you would like to see them try?

ooh this is kinda tough. i really don’t mind any concept for them. they’re so diverse and no song from skz ever sounds like the other 🤔 jisung said he wanted to do ot8 sexy concept (they kinda did with ot8 red lights and charmer isn’t like hardcore sexy but it is more mature). tbh skz has touched the romance topic very rarely (and it’s usually only changbin who writes these songs and occasionally chan or hyun). it’d be nice to see them do a love song (be it happy or angsty) either way it would be cool. i actually think it’d be cool to see them do like a really angtsy vibe maybe even grungy. (i think txt has spoiled me with the angtsy love songs tbh haha)

After 7 years of my friendship, growing up together and holding back my feelings for so long, Today is the day where things change. Growing up, me and y/n always were always bound to be apart of each other’s lives. We’ve grew up in the same neighborhood, our parents met each other in school, our friends are dating each other and we even go to the same school together. Sounds very corny right? It’s true though.

Our thing was always playing horror games together every night after we finish doing homework together. She was always the procrastinator so I had to give her some motivation. Not only that, we always play around the swing sets in the park that’s right in front of our houses to talk about anything and everything that was going on in our life’s.

This one time she got so drunk after Mark’s birthday party and was trying to swing so high and flew off the swing set thinking she was super man. Heh, she can be such a idiot at times. She may be one of the goofiest, bubbly and sweetest people I know. She can also be caring, overprotective and keep me calm whenever I’m always acting crazy.

I don’t remember what exact moment I feel in love with you, but I do remember feeling like as time went by, my love for you stared to grow much stronger. Everyone around us was starting to suspect how we felt about it each other especially my mom she adored you so much and loved the idea of us being together.

Once we’ve started getting much older I've tried dating other girls but none of them just didn’t compare to you. I’ve tried to joke around with them, they wouldn’t take me seriously. When I try to ask them out on dates, they would ditch me for someone else. When I try to be affectionate, they reject and always want to stay friends. I normally had luck keeping girls around, but only for a short amount of time. It seemed like every week I had a new girlfriend.

I knew y/n was always frustrated at me trying to tell me there’s other fish in the sea, but hell I want to my little mermaid and that’s y/n-ie. I even teased her about it, but she didn’t seem to take a hint.

“You know y/n... we should honestly just date. We would be the next Hyuna and Edawn in the school. They would have nothing on us.” I even nudged her on the shoulder to get her smiling.

“Hmm? Are you insane that would be too weird. We’re like brother and sister.” I could tell she was flustered, but she wasn’t exactly to thrilled with the idea. “Plus you know how I feel about Mark already. I’ve got to really wow him at this game tonight.” Oh yeah I forgot to mention she had a crush on my other best friend Mark Lee at the time.

“I know she should just be my friend Yet I'm hoping, I'm hoping that maybe it will lead In love happy end.”

It would work my nerves every time she would talk about him and always would ask advice on what to do, but I was very hopeful and believed I still had to chance to win her heart. I gush to everyone including the boys everyday about how madly in love I was with y/n without even realizing.

I would tell everyone, well except her of course. Johnny almost told my secret to everyone at Jaehyun’s house party when we were all playing strip uno. It was shut down real quickly because Doyoung gave him a long hard talk after awhile.

That night was also the worst for me because that was the same days the homecoming game where you confessed your feelings to Mark and became officially a couple. In my mind I wanted to be happy for the two of you as I watched you two kissed each other in front of everyone.

After that day, I avoided you for a while and couldn’t accept the fact that I couldn’t have you at that very moment. I couldn’t spend more time with you, hold you, kiss you, brag to everyone how much I loved you.

Although I was torn and felt defeated when you started dating Mark, I still felt a tiny bit of hope that someday I would still have a chance to make you mine and have our happy ending.

Y/N POV: June 24th, 2018. The day that I say farewell to my best friend Lee Donghyuck before going leaving to go to Harvard. I can’t believe this day has finally come we haven��t had the chance to hang out throughout our entire senior year so I want to make this count. I also want to tell him how I’ve felt about him. Let’s see where do I even start....

“We were children when we met. Just playing house and drinking sodas at the corner store.”

I remember having a hard time making friends my family moves from city to city because of my dad career as a entrepreneur for multiple companies and my mom working as a travel nurse. I was bullied for my struggling with my weight and for being an outcast which caused a lot of depression for me.

One day I remember running away from these girls in my school because they were trying to throwing apples at me. It was they’re way of trying to help me “eat healthy.” Jokes on them I was the top runner in the track team hehe.

Anyways, I lost them for a good second until I was trapped surrounded by them at the market by my house. I almost felt at lost against the 4 girls, until this crazy guy Lee Donghyuck comes out of no where scaring them away with his Freddy Kruger mask threatening them to leave me alone or he’ll haunt them in their sleep.

I felt bad for laughing, but it was one of the most nicest thing anyone has ever done for me ever since I’ve moved to Korea. He randomly introduces himself to me and offers me to play with him for an exchange of saving my life from those bullies.

“Hey my name is Donghyuck. Those girls always find their next target to pick on, but no worries princess I’m here to protect you. Let me introduce you to my other friends.”

He reached his hand on to me and ever since I was always dragged on to his crazy adventures.

“Like a brother from another. Didn't notice all the other girls they wanted more.”

Donghyuck was pretty popular when it came to having lots of guy friends and dating even when we were kids. In 5th grade on Valentine’s I remembered his desk being flooded with chocolates and anonymous love letters stuffed in backpack.

The idea didn’t bother me at first because I saw Hyuck as my older protective brother. I even slid some letters in my self saying “Happy Valentine’s Day loser. Enjoy those kits kats!” We tend to tease each other a lot, but that’s how we showed our love to each other.

People in our class including the boys Jaemin, Chenle and Yang Yang were encouraging us to date, but we just never seemed thrilled with the idea.

“Awhh c’mon you guys would be so cute together. You guys have kissed once before anyways it’s a sign.” I remember the boys would always poke fun at us, but we both would scream.

“Ew no way! Plus that kiss didn’t count it was for a school play.”

Yet every time a guy would try to ask me out, Donghyuck would scare them away because he claims that I’m still too young to date. Smh, yeah I should’ve known that it was actually because you were jealous.

“But now look at the glow up. You're the finest thing I ever seen, but you never been more than a friend to me.”

As much as I hate to admit it, but god sometimes Donghyuck can be hot...sexy...hell good looking when he wants to be. It doesn’t help that he’s teasing me about it either.

There was this one time when we were playing Mario Karts in his room and it was on a hot summer day at the time. This guy had the nerve to take his shirt off in front of me with sweat dripping on his abs, hair slightly messy to the side, and leans back with his grey sweat pants on.

GREY SWEATS!! Like cmon. I could barely concentrate on the game after awhile admiring how painly handsome. I felt very guilty because I was still dating Mark at the time, but my mind was going 2 different directions.

“Hey y/n if your hot you can take your shirt off too. I thought my mom had the mechanic fixed the ac by now so sorry about that.” There he goes sticking his tongue out like that again. Does he have no shame.

“Umm, Hyuck I just remembered I have a test on Friday to study for. Tootles!” I knew if I would’ve stayed in his room much longer I would’ve either passed out or sink deep into his tempting body leaning against mine. It was not only the heat in the room that was driving me crazy, but my beating heart that was burning my chest.

Before I tried to leave he shut the door and pushed me against the wall staring deep into my eyes. “You know princess, we don’t have a math test Friday right? I’m in the same class as you.”

This man uggh, next he proceeds to make me look at him in the eye by lifting my chin up. “D-did I say math test, silly me. I meant biology test.” After laughing awkwardly for a while I realized he wasn’t laughing with me like he usually does. It was like the vibe changed in a matter of 5 sec.

“Listen y/n...I know your dating Mark and all, but would it be wrong to just let me hold you one last time.” Yeah it would be awful, especially when your still technically half naked in front of me.

I’ve never even gotten close to kissing Mark before, yet my friend of 6 years is going to do it. So I had to run out of there before things got worse. “I-I can’t do that Hyuck. You know that wouldn’t be right. Now if you’ll excuse me.”

“I'm thinking that one day you'll be mine. And I don't wanna lose you.”

I ran home as fast as I can hyperventilating before I let myself caught any feelings. The truth was for awhile I only wanted to date Mark to try to forget about Hyuck, but after that night I’ve started to realize that I can’t escape my feelings that I have for him it’s impossible.

I love him more than anyone in this world. The thought of that saying had me laughing and crying that night.

June 26th, the day Donghyuck will have one last chance to confess his feelings before his princess y/n leaves off to go to school. Y/N and Donghyuck both run out of each other’s house and decided to meet up at the swing set after 6 years.

They both sit down sighing looking up at the orange sunset sky that’s shinning throughout the area. The two of them slowly swing looking down at the ground waiting for the other person to speak up first.

“So...I bet you probably heard the news already huh? I’ve finally got accept to Harvard. So tomorrow I’ll be going back to my hometown to begin my semester in fall.” Donghyuck responds back by saying.

“I know, I heard from my mom. She nearly cried. You know it would’ve been nice to hear from you. I haven’t seen you since last week.” Y/n finally looks up at him with tears falling down her face.

“Hyuck I’ve been going through so much this past week. I’ve broken up with Mark, my brother was stuck in the hospital and I almost had to repeat senior year if I didn’t pass that state test. So I’m sorry I didn’t contact you lately.”

Hyuck quickly stands up and hugs y/n gently by stroking her hair. “It would’ve been nice to hear your voice. I miss you and I love you.”

They both freeze up at the words he just said “Y-you what now?” Hyuck gulps at first, but then he snaps out of it ready to pour his heart out.”

“LISTEN PRINCESS I LOVE YOU OKAY?? Not just as a friend either. This whole year I never got to hang out with you and I don't know how to pretend, I hate falling in love with my best friend. That night you left my room I almost gave up on us, but I knew I had to tell you before you walk out of my life. Talk about bad timing right?”

Y/N starts giggling wiping her tears for a split second but then smiles by saying.

“I love you too Donghyuck. I have for a long time actually I just didn’t want to ruin my one and only specially friendship I had with you. I was even thinking that trying to move on by dating someone else would work, but it didn’t. Without you in my life, I am blue as the sky.”

The two of you of crack up laughing again at your embarrassing thoughts of each other, but immediately stop trying to think of what should happen next.

“We’re truly some idiots. Now we only have a few hours left of being a couple before you leave. So what happens next y/n?”

Y/n sits on Hyuck’s lap hugging him tightly and leans into his face by saying. “No worries we’ll figure this out once I move. For right now let’s just enjoy our last few hours together as a couple.”

Hyuck wraps arms around y/n waist and feels his heart skipping a beat once she starts kissing him softly in his ear. “Princess you know I’m very ticklish right there.” Ignoring his comments y/n proceeds to kiss his ear again, but then starts trailing down to his neck.

“My B-E-S-T, a true friend to me. Give me love and energy, that is what you send to me”

“Mmm keep calling me princess and I promise you I won’t be able to hold back.” He wiggles his eyebrows at your bold response and smirks by saying...

“Well what’s stoping you? We can do it right here right now on these swing sets.” He starts sliding your hands in your thighs while finally kissing you on your lips.

All that built up passion and emotion was easily displayed as you were kissing him. Not to mention the fact that he’s sliding his hand in your jeans which is making it hard for you to keep your voice down.

“Ahh keep it down y/n...Do you want the neighbors to hear you?” He teases you more by moving your hand in his jeans. “Do it for me too.”

“Lee Donghyuck, are you crazy?? Why don’t we just do this in your room. We will get caught for sure.” He pouts for a second and says

“Yes I’m crazy for you. You already know this though. How about this, we can finish this in my room and we can just tell my mom we stayed up playing games again all night long. Deal?”

“Deal!” You give him one last peck on the lips and grab him by running into his house like there’s no tomorrow. “Slow down princess!” The two of you slammed the door in his room and for the whole night you never dared to leave his side for a split second.

Although your both moving on to different paths of life career wise, you both will always have your history together and promised to reunite as a couple again when the time is right.

Disclaimer: I wrote this based The Godfather, i really love the film and have the book too. Eren is like Michael and Mikasa is Appolonia, the time period is 40-60 (Golden age of Hollywood) it’s located in America ofcourse and Savoca, Italy.

Eren is a son from famous mafia Grisha Jaeger or we used to called him Don Jaeger. His wife Carla is a formerly theater actress, he fell in love since the first time they met and soon proposed her. Eren have a big brother name Zeke, the child from Grisha ex lover Dina who died bcs of her illness, luckily Carla accept him and treat Zeke like her own son. Grisha has a consigliere named Mr. Arlert that also has a son Armin who has the same age with Eren.

One day Eren caught a little girl stealing grapes from his garden but later he knew her name is Mikasa and she were Armin’s friend. Long story but finally Mikasa and Eren become a friend. They have 4 years gap, which Eren is 13 while Mikasa is 9 yo when the first time they met.

As time pass by, Mikasa fall in love with Eren and Eren also love her but he was too dumb to realize his own feelings. He also feel guilty if he try to make a move bcs when he 18/19 Mikasa is still 14/15 aka minor, so instead thinking about him and Mikasa, Eren decided to date his classmate from his school in America, a pretty rich blonde girl name Historia.

Yes, Armin and Eren went abroad to America to get education, it’s like tradition from Grisha, then Zeke, and finally Eren. While Mikasa still stay in Sicilia waiting her two bestfriend come back home each year or when the summer came. Mikasa has a brother name Levi who work as officer in New York along with Grisha.

Mikasa know Eren date other girl and it’s okay, for her, she love Eren unconditionally. If he happy she will also happy, but who knows great news come that Eren broke up with Historia makes Mikasa think she has a chance, she want to confess her feelings. And the day has come right on Mikasa 18th birthday Eren and Armin will come to Savoca ofcourse to celebrate they beloved Mikasa. But when the night came only Armin who appeared on her house, where Eren? Armin and Carla try to call him many times but Eren can’t be reach. Armin knows that Mikasa likes Eren for a long time and know her plan tonight.

Tomorrow morning Eren come home, he hugged his mom, and try to hug Armin but Armin avoid Eren and give him a deadly glare, Eren confused with his bestie reaction and asked an explanation then realized something missing, where is Mikasa? Eren go to her house looking for her and find her on the bed. Eren mad at her why she didn’t welcome him? Why she’s not at his house? Why Mikasa doesn’t look happy? But Mikasa just stay silent. Eren thought maybe Mikasa mad at him too bcs he’s late. Btw, Eren can’t help to tell this to Mikasa that he dating with Historia again, that’s why he can’t come home yesterday bcs he spent all of his time with Historia even take her to a new luxurious hotel in New York.

Mikasa feel her heart break and tears start to fall from her eyes while Eren take a step back and kick something that catch his attention, a red balloon? Fuck, he know he messed up. He forget about her birthday. Mikasa can’t hold it anymore and told him about her feeling but not in romantic way, more like she looking for justice of her feelings toward him. Eren speechless he didn’t expect this, that Mikasa likes him, she get rid from the bed and runaway, when Eren try to chased her, Mikasa is gone.It’s hard but later Mikasa move on and fell in love with someone new, Jean. Meanwhile Eren, couple months later he broke up again with Historia.

2/3 years later Eren were engaged with Louise for family business while Mikasa already arranged marriage with Jean. Eren doesn’t like Louise and spend his time more with Mikasa, now he much more clingy with her. But Mikasa wouldn’t fall for that, she already wear golden ring on her finger. When Eren know Mikasa will get married he really angry about it and forced Mikasa to leave him and go with Eren to America. But Mikasa rejected him and they have a great fight. Mikasa refused to see him and desperated Eren choose to go to America with a heavy feelings and he doesn’t has a chance to say goodbye to her. Armin also live in america bcs now he is the new Jaeger consigliere and married to Annie who also Mikasa’s friend.

In Americe Eren told Grisha that he doesn’t want to be mafia, and Grisha understand it. He broke up with Louise bcs all the things he can do it hurt her.

Meanwhile in Savoca, Jean came with his friend who also a mafia boss name Colt. When they having lunch at Mikasa’s house Colt can’t stop staring Mikasa and when he got a chance to talk with her, surprisingly they were match. He likes her flirty-sly funny attitude. He likes her and he want her but she gonna maried his own friend, well more like business partner.

We all know Colt crazy, he’s a gangster what will we expect? He told his right-hand man Porco to kill Jean and Mikasa’s family. So when she doesn’t have anyone else Colt will came as her savior.

And it’s work.

Armin who worried bcs Mikasa haven’t replied his letter told Eren. Well Eren lil bit mad at him cause “ALL THIS TIME YOU AND MIKASA EXCHANGED LETTER? (I also want to 🥲)” without any further do Eren immediately command Mike and a few of his people to go to Sicily. How shocked when Mike told Eren that Ackerman is dead and Mikasa is missing. This heartbreaking news make all of them (Armin, Annie, even Carla who love Mikasa as her own daughter) hit by a strong sadness.

What about Eren? Oh dear, he spent his time and money for cigarettes, alcohol, and gambling. Didn’t get enough of sleep bcs always getting nightmares about Mikasa. Suddenly he just doesn’t have any reason to keep living.

One year have pass, and Eren has changed into cold and his body lose lot of weight, every body worried about his health.

One day when he come to Hitch marriage (Hitch is foster child, Grisha and Carla found her on the street and decided to take care of her, but after a couple years Grisha and Carla decided to go back to Sicily while Hitch stay in America with Mike) Eren can’t believe what he saw, he see Mikasa, her hair is bit longer. And what more unbelievable is she married with Colt, one of head mafia family.

Fyi so there’s the head of five family who rule New York: Jaeger, Braun, Braus, Grice, Tybur.

And know Eren already see her with his own eyes and he will never let her go again.

SHSHSH sorry for the messy english I’m too tired and sleepy anddd THIS is my first EM fics, once i post it on ao3 but deleted it lol and decided to continue it on wattpad. Idk why i like NTR 😔🙏🏻 , and different from milfkasa, MIKASA IS LOYAL to colt (she didn’t know that Colt is the one who murder her family lol) so it’ll add angst/hurt to the fic. For Eren personality I combined his canon chr and Michael meanwhile Mikasa is mix from Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe (I don’t even know if that makes sense, wait, what I’m talking abt-)
