#the plants aren't necessarily part of their design but i have it in my mind that they're mostly defined by the world they exist in #so the plants are kind of here to help indicate their emotional state to the viewer i suppose since i don't want to draw full bgs for this #like in whatever situation they're in that's making them have to crouch the plants seem like arteries and are bright red and #lacking harmony between them to feel like panic / adrenaline rush kind of feeling #and they'll be in an environment where the plants are more lush and flowy when feeling a more relaxed or subtle mood #oc #art #dragon #digital art #drawing #creature #they don't really have a name (yet?) but i keep calling them things like traveller/wanderer/ other such synonyms

Just realized it's been a week I didn't play FFXIV and that after I reach that Heavensward part.

The " A smile... better suits a hero." part in english.

And in french "But you... You have such a beautiful smile... Try to not forget mine...."

Definitively in my top 5/top 10 lines that hurt my soul deeply.

And Alphi and the others doesn't make things easier when they say "I didn't know you were so close/had such a relationship.". Like bitch... Are you trying to make me cry ? Like I don't need to know. I know that Haurchefant was flirty with the WoL but not sure I would be able to handle it if they were in a romantic relationship or a queerplatonic relation so deep that it hurts bc WoL reaction was already hurting me by dropping to the knees and holding so gently his hand with their own so adding this and make it canon ?

It's the killing blow.

No? Good, then I'm doing his character redesign correctly.

I'm working on redesigning the main villain of The SOS Chronicles, Algol, based on the lyrics of the Petra song "Angel of Light".

"Angel of Light, I see you glow in the night, But you only bring darkness to my soul. Angel of Light You're telling me wrong is right But I won't let your evil take control."

Instead of leaning into demonic elements like I was before, I'm now trying to make him look alluring, like someone you assume is a good guy because how could he not be??? just look at him! It makes more sense then that the characters didn't realize right away that he was the big bad, especially since he's also using Almitak's power to mind control (almost) the entire populace of the planet (Aguitha) he lives on. But Almitak's power weakens over time, so as the mind control loosens, Algol falls back on using his beauty, along with lies and trickery, to keep people trusting him. Much like a skilled politician, he makes the ordinary people think he cares about them by knowing just what to say every time. His military following is completely loyal and trusting of him because of the web of lies he's trapped them in, and it takes a long time for Oliver and co. to unravel those lies and find the truth of who Algol is and what he's doing.

(no, but seriously, on a scale of 1-10, how trustworthy do you think he looks? This is just a concept-art esque sketch, I am open to changing his design at this point, feedback is appreciated)

Hey so remeber when I february I said I was going to finish this thing at the end of the month ... yeah. But it's finally done! The sandwing creator is here! There are some things I would probably change if I was to redo it all over again but I'm actually really happy with how this came out. There's a lot of options to choose from so I hope everybody will find something for themselves.
