Female Envy and Insecurity
Why do some women display competitiveness? I once came across a comment from a woman critiquing a celebrity she deemed less attractive than the one she stood beside, saying ‘she must be so jealous.’ As I pondered this, I wondered, ‘jealous of what?’ Is it the other woman’s blonde hair, height, or something else?
As a woman who’s of average appearance and height, I used to be slim, curvy, and attractive, if I may say so myself. I’ve never felt envy towards another woman. Why? Because I wasn’t created to look or be like anyone else but me, and that’s my uniqueness. I can genuinely appreciate and admire the beauty and qualities of other women without feeling insecure or envious. Maybe this mindset stems from being an only child, since I never had to vie for attention or resources with siblings, thus suppressing competitive tendencies. Or perhaps it’s simply my nature, as I’ve never been inclined toward insecurity or rivalry with fellow women.
Even now, as a fuller-figured, plain-looking woman in her forties, I don’t gaze at beautiful women and feel inadequate. We’re all inherently distinct, and when you don’t love who you are, and your so-called ‘imperfections,’ you generate your own insecurities. The societal fixation on a particular standard of beauty further aggravates matters, compelling many young women and men to conform, often with grave repercussions. They jump through hoops, undergo modifications, and subject themselves to painful treatments, all to meet the world’s narrow beauty criteria.
Frequently, we witness celebrities undergoing repeated plastic surgeries, distorting their appearance in pursuit of a specific aesthetic. Yet, they can never find contentment chasing others’ ideals of beauty. True beauty resides within, eluding them as long as they seek external validation. It all circles back to self-love and self-acceptance.
Even as society imposes a rigid definition of beauty, the real question is: Why should we let these standards dictate our self-worth? So often, we witness young women and men contorting themselves through painful processes, chasing an elusive ideal that’s far from their authentic selves. Celebrities, too, fall into this trap, resorting to repeated plastic surgeries that distort their appearance and leave them perpetually unsatisfied.
Yet, the truth remains that genuine beauty emanates from within. The pursuit of someone else’s notion of beauty only perpetuates an endless cycle of dissatisfaction. It’s a cycle that can never be truly broken until we cultivate self-love and self-acceptance. Each one of us is a masterpiece of individuality, deserving of embracing our uniqueness without the need for comparison or rivalry.

"Meet Michael Hopkins, Founder of Jehovah's HOUSE of Saints" - Visit Jeh...
"Join the Cause: A Dollar for Change" https://www.jehovahsaint.com/
Become part of our volunteer team by sharing our website with your friends. In a world where an estimated 150 million people are homeless, Michael Hopkins, the founder of Jehovah's House of Saints, felt called to make a difference. Believing in the power of compassion and the strength of collective efforts, Michael had a vision that if everyone in the world donated just one dollar, it would amount to a staggering amount. This generous sum could effectively meet the needs of those struggling with homelessness and poverty around the globe.
With unwavering faith and determination, Michael reached out to the community, urging them to show empathy and solidarity towards their less fortunate brothers and sisters. He knew that every act of kindness, no matter how small, had the potential to bring immense relief and hope to those who were without a home or a sense of security.
Drawing inspiration from the Scriptures, Michael reflected on the teachings of compassion and generosity. In Matthew 25:35-40, it is said, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Michael knew that by extending a helping hand to those in need, the love and kindness shown would be reciprocated tenfold.
With a heartfelt plea, Michael asked the world to come together and donate just a dollar. He knew that this seemingly small contribution could make a profound impact, providing food, shelter, and care to those who needed it most. Michael believed that when we show compassion and give selflessly, we not only uplift others but also receive the blessings of unity, empathy, and love in return.
With a heartfelt plea, I ask the world to come together and donate just a dollar. God Bless. 1-573-891-1933 USA https://www.jehovahsaint.com/

🌟 Golden Goddess Podcast - Episode 6: Generational Healing vs Generation...
Join Thao in this transformative episode as we explore the powerful theme of Generational Healing vs. Generational Trauma. 🌱 Thao shares her insights on breaking the cycle and cultivating  love that heals and rejuvenates. Thao's Continued Bio: "In my artwork, I explore different varieties of flowers in my work and bring me back to my family's garden in my childhood home or being my mom's hand model when she was practicing nail art on my fingernails while she was preparing for her California manicurist license. The whimsical abstract gestures and diverse color schemes she used then are very much present in my work today. The feeling as a child of being so small like a bug and being lost in a garden is an experience I hope my mural can create for others. In my spare time I love developing passion projects that intersect with social justice, spending time with my family and exploring the best food the world has to offer. My end goal is to be able to touch as many peoples' lives as possible through my art and to inspire others to go after their dreams." 🎙️ Highlights: 🌿 Deep dive into the dynamics of generational healing and the impact on our well-being. 💖 Thao's affirmations on self-worth and deserving love that fosters growth, not fear. 🌟 Share your thoughts on generational healing in the comments! 🔗 Connect: Follow Thao: @thaofrenchart Website: https://mindfulmurals.com/ Follow us on Instagram: @thethoughtfulbeast Discover more affirmations: https://thethoughtfulbeast.com/produc... 🎧 Subscribe: Don't miss out on empowering conversations! TW :: ‼️‼️Mention of Drug Abuse , children abuse ⚠️⚠️ ( Not my picture using it as a reference) My ✨egg donor ✨ , she would blame me for her addictions she started using at a very young age way before having me ( yes addictions, she started abusing alcohol, cocaine and heroin as well even pills 💊 ) but I was the child , how do you blame a child for things they can’t understand. She would come to my school high , trying to fight me in front of teachers, she sold my inheritance , from the only thing I had left of my grandparents ( her parents) she would tell family and others I was lying about reaching out for help cause she was chasing me with frying pans and steak knifes as I was hiding myself in a closet . She would pour gasoline on mine and my fathers clothes if they weren’t put up in the time she wanted everything organized She did a lot of those things while “sober “ as well, she was heavily involved with school activities like PTA meetings even was the star parent in girl scouts whenever we would do Girl Scout camps and trips .Nobody needs to tell me especially my family ( who I now no longer speak to ) That I didn’t have it bad “ cause there’s were nights I thought she was going to kill me in my sleep, having a parent treating you the way she treated me , was bad . She would gaslight everyone, my own family saw what she was doing and failed me as a child for not stepping in . All cause the didn’t want to be apart of her drama . Whenever I was a teen , she hid her alcohol and had my father almost convinced him I had a problem. Addictions on my fathers side goes all the way back to his grandparents ( his moms parents) they struggled with abusing alcohol, my fathers oldest brother passed away after his battled with heroin , a few years ago his oldest daughter lost her battled as well. So I’m not only breaking the curse of not dealing with toxic family, but I’m also breaking the curse of drug addiction on both sides of my family. That’s a whole LOT of ✨power ✨ to have . I’m 💯 100 percent for everyone who’s battling addiction to succeed in their recovery! #lotsofpower #breakingcycles #breakingthecycleofdrugaddictions #iampowerful #toxicfamily #breakingfamilycurses

When you know better but aren’t doing better First I must acknowledge, simply knowing and recognizing coping skills and behaviours within ourselves that no longer serve us and/or may be harmful to ourselves or the people around us, is the the most important step in this journey. You are at the planning stages. You are thinking about trying a different path. You may have even decided to take that different path but you end up on the old path. Don’t worry; someday you will take a step down that path. It may only be one step, at first. You may start down the old path, stop, run back and try the new path. All of this IS “doing better.” As we do in our children, we need to celebrate our small steps. We need to recognize that so much of the work is internal. Just knowing what to do differently does not stop you from old patterns. When it comes to parenting, many of these patterns are set in your own childhood. You may but even realize you have these patterns, until you become a parent. Often these patterns are also triggering for the parent, further fueling the emotional burden of parenting because when they see themselves doing exactly what they promised they would never do, their confidence and self-worth as a parent can simply plummet. Usually I realize I was overwhelmed in some way and validating my feelings of overwhelm, forgiving myself, giving myself grace and making a plan to meet some of those unmet needs, has transformed my perception of these moments where reaction was my initial response. I discuss this in detail in the Guide to Survival Mode Plans, now only 5$’s The link is in my bio @responsive_parenting #responsiveparenting #jmilburn #healingjourney #parentanger #parentmentalhealth #maternalmentalhealth #postpartummentalhealth #breakingcycles #intergenerationaltrauma #changingthenarrative #allthefeels #changeishard https://www.instagram.com/p/CWjwkkhr014/?utm_medium=tumblr
