Ahhh my exams are finally over! This semester was so difficult for me, doing a full-time internship and also doing part-time teaching jobs along with studying. It really was hard on me, i did try my best though, and I'm glad it's over. I re-joined the internship again today and got a chance to attend a conference. It was great. I'm glad that i made it through all this.

hi! my name is Niya, I’m (almost) 18 and from the Netherlands. I’m an IB student (🥲) in my final year of high school. I love gardening, playlist-making, and I’m all about finding & creating little moments of joy in life :)

I’m also independently doing a self-study biology course, and I often find myself procrastinating doing self-study sessions and coursework.

Fortunately, one of my favourite and imo most inspiring yt’ers ever, Unjaded Jade, introduced me to the concept of accountability partners. As each other’s accountability partner, you regularly check in with each other about how you’re doing with (academic) goals and such, and as the term suggests, you hold each other accountable when you don’t meet them without a valid reason.

🤗 It´s been a while, y'all

First and foremost, I´m sorry for my long absence. Being an adult leaves you with not much time. I was around 21 when I started this blog and in college, I'm 24 now and in a full-time job. I earn money, which is good, but… well, I can't longer do some things I enjoyed.

My language journey has been taking some pauses here and there since my routine changed due to not having enough time in the day anymore. However, it´s something I´m always keeping up in my mind. Recently, I wanted to work a bit harder and keep on with studying, even if it´s just a bit, even if my progress is slower than before.

My main learning language is still Japanese, but just a few days ago I decided to change Portuguese for French. Wish me luck with that hell of a spelling!

I decided to *try* to revive this blog as some sort of anchor to help me be more dedicated to my studies. I hope I can make some friends here!

Thanks for being around during my absence. I truly appreciate it.
