It was a warm, peaceful night. One of the rare you could get in Borderland, with that special kind of darkness. The kind that made the stars shine brighter and that somehow made you feel safe, even in this fucked up world. You and Chishiya had found this secluded spot in the middle of an abandoned garden to spend the night under the stars, the soft grass serving as a bed. He was lying beside you, looking at you with a gentle smile and running his fingers through your hair. He was another reason why you felt so safe. Even almost happy.
“What are you thinking about?” Chishiya asked, continuing playing with your hair.
You rolled over to face him, smiling softly. “I wish this night would never end,” you sighed. “I wish we could just stay as we are right now. No Borderland. No game to play. No fear of dying all the time. Just us and the night.” You gazed at the stars and your smile slowly faded. Surviving in this world with him was even more horrible. What’s the point of loving someone if you could die in the next game anyway? And what’s the point of surviving if you could lose him forever at any moment? None of this was fair.
Hearing the anxiety in your voice, Chishiya grabbed your waist and pulled you to him, one hand moving up to cup your cheek. You noticed how incredible he looked in the pale moonlight. The scarce light scattered across the surface of his skin, illuminating each of his traits in a way that was hauntingly beautiful. His eyes glowed like amber, and the silver shade of his hair was enhanced. You wrapped your arms around his neck and his skin felt so hot under your palms, like it burned like fire under your touch. The heat instantly penetrated your whole body from the tips of your hair to your inner organs. He squeezed you tighter and you could feel his breath on your lips. His scent was soothing and stimulating at the same time. Just like him.
“Then let’s make this night count.” Chishiya grinned as he pressed gentle kisses along your jaw, lingering when he reached your lips. It was enough to make you dripping, soaking wet. He had a way of making you feel amazing about yourself, no matter how sad or worried you might feel inside. A low moan escaped your lips as he started kissing you harder. He had never kissed you like this before. Not with this much greed. You wrapped your legs around his waist, letting him know you wanted him at least just as much. He finally broke off the kiss and dipped his head lower, gently spreading your legs as he went. Kissing along your inner thighs, he climbed higher as you repeatedly breathed his name. Without waiting for your plea or invitation, but God knows you would have pleaded for it if he had made you, Chishiya started circling your clit with long licks, adoring the whimpers coming out of your mouth as you felt your breathing becoming more and more shallow.
“Feel good, baby?” Chishiya rasped against your clit. You could hear the grin in his voice and it sends shivers down your spine.
“Yes… oh yes.” you gasped as he continued sucking harshly at your dripping pussy. After several long and amazing minutes, he plunged two fingers into the wet heat of you without warning, swearing under his breath at the tight fit, causing an eruption of bliss. He moved up and let his lips find yours again. Both of you were panting into each other’s mouths, hearts thrumming like thunderstorms as you pressed your heaving chests against one another to be as close as humanly possible. His fingers still working their magic inside you, he set a torturous pace and you found yourself being shoved to the edge of climax faster than you liked. It almost wasn’t fair how quickly the pressure was building. What kind of power had this man over you?
“I - I want you so bad,” You whimpered, squirming helplessly while clawing at the grass.
“Want me to fuck you, princess?” Chishiya asked, voice trembling with excitement.
“Please, yes,” You gasped loudly. “Please, fuck me.”
“Oh, it’ll be my pleasure.” He announced with a mischievous undertone.
Trembling, you adjusted your position to allow him to take you properly. You officially couldn’t take it anymore and neither could he. Chishiya looked at you and you could see in his eyes how badly he wanted you. Without ever breaking eye contact, Chishiya got his cock right up against your tight entrance and pushed all the way in with a loud growl. For a man who usually was in total control of his emotions, he was finding it harder and harder to show restraint, which turned you on even more. You were the first to move again and he followed, slowly building up the pace, already feeling his release creeping up on him. He pushed both of your legs to his shoulders, leaning over you, still looking into your eyes and stealing kisses between two moans of pleasure. All you could hear, all you could see and all you could smell was Chishiya. All thoughts other than him disappear. All you knew was the safety of his embrace and the heat of his mouth. You were now unable to think straight, your vision slowly grew hazy, and your eyes screw shut.
When you came with a broken moan, clenching around his cock, flames of arousal erupted within your core. The tips of your fingers, the inside of your knees, the top of your head, all your body parts seemed to be melting with a blinding, intense heat, making him come deep inside almost at the exact same moment, in the middle of a thrust.
“Fuck, Y/N,” He groaned right by your ear as you felt his cock twitch inside of you, which only made your own orgasm more pleasurable.
His whole body shaking from and exhaustion, Chishiya finally collapsed on top of you, burying his face in your neck, kissing and licking the sweat of your skin. He looped one arm over your bare waist as you were still coming down from your fiery high, keeping you as close to him as he could. He squeezed you tightly, pressing another kiss to your forehead, telling you without even using words that absolutely everything was going to be ok.

੭୧ chishiya with an introverted reader... . ۫
Tumblr media Tumblr media
chishiya shuntaro x fem!reader (requested)
— warnings: fluff, maybe ooc chishiya, beach arc, fem pronouns, niragi doing niragi things, typical aib violence, swallowing razor blades lol...
— summary: chishiya is very enticed by the fact you seem to trust him so much, he can't help but tease you.
— word count: 1.6k
Tumblr media
you were known around the beach, specifically for being on the quiet side, avoiding any compromising relationships, platonic or not, with people around you, knowing that would only be a flaw between others, especially in a place like the borderlands. people like this always managed to stand out more than intended between others.
it only half worked, though. when you first arrived in this sick world, it didn't take long for you to get invited to the beach, which you reluctantly accepted since there weren't that many options for you.
everyone there seemed untrustworthy and deceitful, especially the group of militants. so you decided to keep to your side, having a few acquaintances here and there but nothing too profound.
that was until a blonde guy named chishiya decided to do the job himself and approach you. you were never aware of the reason, but at this point, you didn't care. your only goal in a place like this was to never let your guard down next to others, but unfortunately, this man managed to make you. he could be using you all this time just to have someone to sacrifice when the needed time comes, and you would fall right onto it given how much trust you had put in him.
being friends with chishiya later on drove you to become friends with kuina as well, but still, you weren't as close to her as you were with the guy.
it turns out you were simply introverted, and having someone to confide in ended up helping you in a place like this, contrary to your beliefs. you'd continuously get teased by niragi for being so shy and reserved with yourself, but that didn't happen with chishiya. you could tell he was quite curious about your behavior as well; however, he didn't press it on you.
this reflected on the time you two spent together. you ended up sticking next to him more than you realized. people around the beach would be surprised if they went on a walk and saw one of you both alone. kuina was also after him sometimes, but it didn't compare to you guys's proximity. this only made him seem more suspicious, given that he only kept two people close, and even so, he would appear slightly reluctant to anything you guys did together.
before you could realize it, you were practically blabbering your mouth out whenever you were both alone, contrasting the personalities you made up around other members. and surprisingly, chishiya didn't complain, instead just staying silent for most of the time you talked. you weren't sure if he was even listening most of the time, apart from some occasional comments he decided to add when wanting to share his opinion about whatever matter caught your eye that day.
as of now, chishiya was sitting on the chair by his desk as you lied down on his bed, looking at the ceiling. his hands were moving around on a device, and you had no idea what half of its purpose was. sometimes, you would try and peek to see whatever he was doing with it, but upon recognizing the usual pliers and wires he must love so much, given he "spends more time with them than with you" (as you dramatically proclaimed a few days ago), you just gave up.
he looked very focused right now, and you knew better than to disturb him at times like these, but your boredom somehow managed to get the lead as your mind looked around for a chat theme.
"did you know that the human stomach can dissolve razor blades?" you ask out of the blue, your gaze still fixated on the ceiling.
he did not answer. instead, he stopped his movements around the device in his hands and gave you a side look. you could feel his gaze, so you immediately tried to explain.
"i'm not planning on anything!" you said it with a hurried voice, coming out with a tone of humor. "it's just a scientific fact."
he sighed, his attention turning back to the box to which he added two metals. it was now much harder to guess what the hell he was trying to make out of it.
"no, i did not know that." chishiya replied, his eyes never leaving the gadget he held as he kept fixing it. his voice was heard again shortly after. "but it's quite obvious, actually. the ph level in a human stomach varies between 1 and 3, which means it is very acidic. you could get away with swallowing a lot of things."
you could tell by the way he spoke that he tried to use easier words to make you understand, and honestly, that only made your heart beat faster and your cheeks redden.
"that doesn't mean you can do it." he stopped his movements for a second, talking with a stern voice, but quickly went back. he really looked more preoccupied with the piece of equipment.
you gasped as if you were offended by his remark, a chuckle leaving your lips right after as you rolled around on his bed. "i would never swallow anything suspicious. i'm not that insane."
"you considered pressing a button that had "don't press" written on top of it." he answered without thinking twice.
you laughed it off again, remembering how he had to physically pull you away from the tempting button you found together on a game you played. it consisted of finding the exit to a labyrinth as a killer chased the players. you knew where the exit was from the very beginning since, before entering the game, chishiya had the brilliant idea of going to a point high enough to study the whole arena. when you both finally finished the game, someone ended up pressing it, and the whole place blew up. at least you found out what it did.
"come on, i was curious!" you complained, still giggling, when the memories of chishiya being so done with you came back. "i would never swallow a razor blade, you know that."
"not even if it had "don't swallow" written on top of it?" he ironically asked, doing his best to make his voice come out nonchalant, but you could basically hear the smirk he held.
"chishiya!" you whined out louder, starting to laugh again.
after your fun died out, you got up from the bed and stopped beside him, a hand holding onto the back of his chair. "what miraculous electrical device are you making this time?"
at this point, chishiya didn't even question your choice of words, instead keeping his gaze on the item. "it's a taser," he replied sharply. "so i can bring some sense into the heads of idiots like you."
"i hate you." you admitted, rolling your eyes and turning around with a sigh, lying flat dead on his bed again. both of you knew you were not telling the truth, and he was about to tease you for it.
until he was brutally broken out of his line of thinking by an equally brutal niragi slamming the door open. you flinched at the sound, while chishiya just closed his eyes and sighed, frustrated.
"oi. executive meeting by eight o'clock. make sure not to skip it again, or the hatter might not like it." he exclaimed, referring to chishiya, not bothering about keeping his voice down or even lowering his gun to appear a bit more sociable. "oh. look who we have here..." now referring to you.
as niragi's eyes fell upon you, your eyebrows immediately furrowed as you looked away, sitting up on chishiya's bed, avoiding as much contact with him as you could.
"why are you always after this guy? there are so many better men in a place like this, and you choose him?" niragi asked with that sharp voice of his, which you profoundly despised, as he approached and pointed his gun at you. you didn't bother looking at it.
your cheeks were pretty warm from this whole interaction. you weren't scared of him physically hurting you, since chishiya wouldn't allow it and niragi knew it, but confrontations were always awkward with him.
you didn't even realize that chishiya finally let go of the device in hand, turning around in the chair and watching the scene with not too much interest. "she isn't that fond of me. actually, she just claimed to hate me."
your mouth fell agape as you looked his way with a gaze that could kill. you noticed he had a smirk, and all you wanted to do in that moment was wipe it out of his face, but you knew best with niragi there.
"oh, so she talks? now that's a surprise." niragi lowered his gun to his sides, chuckling at the end of his sentence. you could only lower your head in embarrassment and avoid any more conflicts.
"well, i'll be taking my leave. thanks for the attention, you both!" niragi yelled ironically, slamming the door shut behind him.
and as soon as he made his way out of the room, you turned your attention to chishiya, who had already mentally prepared himself to deal with your talking.
"i might not be the one dissolving a blade in my stomach, but i know who will." you said, trying your best to sound mad, which probably didn't work out because he didn't move a bit from his usual position.
"well, niragi might need to take care then." he said, turning around in his chair, back to his own world.
"i wasn't talking about him!" you rolled your eyes, fuming and concluding that it was useless to argue with him.
in truth, your tantrum didn't last much longer than 5 minutes, since soon you were already chattering about whatever came into your mind next. even if it seemed like not, chishiya was always listening, often adding a comment or two, but at this point, it was routine for both. it was entertaining to him to see how different you could be depending on the people present in the room and how you became much more comfortable with him around. he took pride in that.
Tumblr media
— a/n: waaah this was so fun to write!!! i love making chishiya an insufferable one so i hope this was okay and fitted your likings... i think i ran away a little bit from the topic but i wanted to make chishiya as in character as possible because imo that's what makes him so interesting. ohh i love a jackass of a man......

✶ ˖ ࣪ ਏ 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗧 ਓ 🌨️ ۪ ♡ ۫
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ To be honest, the way they met was quite cliché. You have always been passionate about medicine and the first opportunity you had, you couldn't help but study this profession.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You were always first in your high school class, so it was no different in college. Exemplary, punctual, polite, hardworking and, obviously, very smart. It didn't take long for you to complete your internship at a university hospital. To be clearer, because of your intelligence as a healthcare professional, she was one of the youngest students to do an internship.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ The first time he saw Chishiya was in the doctors' break room. You were interested because he was a pediatric cardiologist. You couldn't stop thinking about how a strong and mysterious man like him could deal with children so easily, especially in such critical states that most of his patients were in.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ It was difficult for you to engage in a conversation with him, as he felt more comfortable with patients than with his co-workers themselves. And it was even more surprising when he started a random topic with you when you coincidentally got coffee from the espresso machine at the same time.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ In his opinion, you were too dull for someone like him to get to you...but he proved the total opposite. Chishiya actually thought you were the most interesting in that place. A Brazilian exchange student who was able to stand out so brilliantly in that place. It was fascinating for him to see a woman a little younger than him be so bold and smart.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ It was always the same, an exchange of words when they were resting, an exchange of glances when they bumped into each other in the corridors. Until you, unexpectedly, asked for his number. This surprised both of them, but especially you. She was always so into herself, despite being smart, social issues weren't exactly her strong suit.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ Over time, you started going out, becoming more and more friends. Despite being opposites, you had more unusual than you thought. They were both determined in their goals and ambitions, they always help those they really care about, perhaps you more than him, but it is still a common topic.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ After 6 months of friendship, the familiarity and comfort between you only grew... and other feelings too. I couldn't deny it, initially neither of them had any romantic interest in each other, just admiration. But with time, you understand Chishiya and he loved the feeling of having someone who truly understood him and didn't judge him.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ He honestly didn't feel comfortable talking to anyone, but even though it wasn't common, you were the only one he felt safe opening up to without any fear. To him you were like an angel, always there to help him and sometimes he wondered if he was there in the same way for you.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You were always very honest with your feelings so it wasn't a taboo for you. But you loved the way he treated you. You felt unique, special. And that was exactly what you were to him.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You are definitely made for each other and can clearly be soulmates in living form. After a year of friendship, their feelings could no longer be hidden. They both knew they loved each other so it wasn't difficult to declare each other.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ It was so simple, but so special for you. They were happy to finally have a weekend off and decided to celebrate together. You usually went to your favorite restaurant, since he always let you choose, but this time they decided to just prepare a simple dinner together and then sit on their terrace to drink some wine while talking about trivial matters.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ His chair was very close to Chishiya's chair. Both were slightly drunk, you a little more, but the two of you weren't exactly sober. You placed your glass on the small white table that was in front of you. You adjusted your leg that was resting comfortably on Chishiya's thigh.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You looked at each other for a while without saying anything. You knew that words didn't need to be described for this moment. A comfortable silence reigned between you, until it was broken with a statement from Chishiya. "You can." "What?" You asked calmly, but still confused. "You can do it, whatever you're thinking, I don't care." He said in his usual low and calm tone. "...same?" You said. "...same."
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You wasted no time and approached, still calmly, his lips. At first it was a slow and deep peck, which deepened into a real kiss. Still with your lips connected, you climbed onto Chishiya's lap, overcome with emotion. He didn't complain, just squeezed her waist in confirmation, wishing more than ever that I could repeat this moment over and over again.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You didn't know that this kiss could trigger such an admirable and true relationship between you.

( 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 ) ਓ 🌨️ ۪ ♡ ۫
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You merely remember the day you arrived together with Chishiya in Borderland. Maybe it was like a blur, but the only thing he remembers was that you were together. Chishiya merely felt guilty for joining you in this. He thought that, Maybe if you weren't with him, you wouldn't be in this horrible place knowing you could die at any moment. Of course, both he and you are too intelligent to die suddenly, but it's still an event.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ You were slightly scared by how much he closed himself off after entering Borderland. In fact, he was always a little closed off to people, but never to you. Now on the beach, he didn't treat you with so much affection in front of people. He didn’t treat you badly, but he wasn’t the affectionate type like he used to be.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ but he didn't behave like that because he doesn't love you anymore, but rather so that you wouldn't be an easy target if someone wanted to hurt you, for example, the Niragi or the militia itself. You understood him and only helped him when he needed it.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ He wasn't surprised when you did so well in games, both physical and rational. You were a great athlete in high school and that was one of the many reasons he didn't care about your death.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ A very important topic in your relationship is trust, which means you tell each other everything. Which led to his great disappointment when he betrayed Arisu and Usagi behind his back. He knew that you hate people who use others, or take advantage of the most innocent, so he didn't tell you anything about his plan.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ When the mess at Praia started, you were still fighting with him, which made him worried. The only thing he knew how to do was think about you. He thought that maybe because you were in such a delicate moment emotionally, you weren't reasoning correctly.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ After he found you and saw that you were okay, he became calmer. So he just dragged you along the beach to find a way to get out of there and to do that they knew they needed to act rationally and not just physically.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ After he explained that he took the letters just to see you well and free from that horrible place, you forgave him. Your relationship was finally stable, and even though you were worried about the picture cards, you were okay being together.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ After the chaos on the beach and the fact that you were separated from the rest of the group, you had many existential and anxiety crises. He helped you as much as he could with this, even more so when he realized that his support meant a lot to you.
𐐪♡︎₊˚ _ No matter where you were or what phase you went through, as long as you are well enough to finally get out of there together, you will be happy.

Chishiya relationship headcanons <3
Gender neutral reader, no warnings
If you like to talk a lot he’s a very good listener, humming along and adding a comment when needed, and even if your not one for talking he likes the sound of your voice. It ensures him that you’re here with him, and not in any danger
If your not as advert to talking he’ll probably try to pry it out of you-you’re his partner, he wants to know your interests, values, viewpoints, dislikes, opinions, whatever it is he wants to know more about you. And in return, you’ll probably get to learn a little about him too
Always goes to games with you. He’s comfortable in the controlled environment of games and their straightforward rules, when you go with him there’s no chance of you dying. It’s just the easiest way to protect you, and one of his special ways of showing care
His affection is subtle, but it’s certainly there. Physically it might just be standing a little closer to you, or the occasional brush of shoulders. Mentally, though it’s seeking you out, taking your opinion into account, trying to encourage you when you’re down, letting you know about his past, making sure you eat before him, getting to be vulnerable with his words and telling you how much he truly cares <3
While he’s probably not one for pda, but I can definitely see him running a kiss along your knuckles when you’re panicking about a game, to remind you he’s there. A gentle hand your back when you’re falling behind the group and a rare smile that you reciprocate
He’s cool not cold, and won’t deny being with you, but won’t go out of his way to be flashy or flaunt your relationship
As a doctor if you ever get hurt he’ll 100% patch you up, though his hands shake at thought of his what could happen to you, he’ll blame it on not having done this in a long time, and make you forget with that suave smile

𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 ☆ 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫.
🗯️ fem! reader, smut, switch! chishiya, consumption of alcohol and marijuana, light choking, praise, degradation, teasing, porn with plot, a lot of plot, spanking, daddy kink, gradually gets rougher, possessive chishiya, slightly inebriated sex. enjoy.
spoiled. self-centered. intelligent. this woman thinks the sun should rise and set according to her needs. daddy’s girl dumped in the borderlands, left to fend for herself. in this world, it’s kill or be killed, and she was born with a dagger in her manicured hands. serpentine. a striking kind of beautiful, the kind you could drown in, the kind you’d come running for. lethal. that’s how he’d describe her. like a black widow, gorgeous until the bitter end.
(y/n) walked to the log podium and grabbed a phone from it. all eyes on her, as always. the game was that of a puzzle, a thought provoking riddle. she wouldn’t stand a chance. or so he thought. adorned in bracelets, a black mini top and jean shorts, she looked like your average doe-faced lamb, destined to be in the hands of slaughter. she took a few steps back and assessed her competition. a guy who seemed to be in his mid twenties and on the verge of shitting himself, two teenage girls, a teenage boy, herself, a middle aged woman, and.. him.
blonde, unavailable. she caught his eye, he caught hers. he waved. she looked him up and down, taking in all that he had to offer. average height, not like the others. he didn’t drool at the sight of her. didn’t seem to be the slightest bit impressed. she sent a small, polite grin his way. and that was that. the game commenced. she took off her shoes and flexed her toes before she began running. the goal of the game was to collect five metal stars before time ran out. there were fifteen stars hidden in the building, which meant three people would survive. you could take other peoples stars, but you’d have to kill them to do it.
a game of average difficulty, meant to turn man onto man. of course. a guy in his mid twenties, two teenage girls, a teenage boy, a middle aged woman, and him. of the seven original players, three came out victorious. herself, he, and one of the two teenage girls. he caught her eye. she waved. he looked her up and down, gave her a smirk. and that was that.
that was about a month ago. now, (y/n) sat pretty at the beach, an official member. The requirement to be in swimwear at all times didn’t bother her in the slightest. it made her job a whole lot easier. entice, bury, climb. she lied sprawled on a tanning chair by the pool, a mixed drink in one hand, the hand of a poor sap in the other. “beautiful boy,” she’d tell him. “so pretty for me”, she’d say. and that was all it took. some tits and a smile went a long way in this world. any guy, or girl, would easily jump the opportunity to relax in her arms after being on edge one hundred percent of every day. it was hard being lab rats in a maze.
“(y/n).” a stern voice came from above her, as did a shadow, blocking the sun from her body. she raised her sunglasses onto her head and frowned at whoever dared to interrupt her tanning time. “what?” she asked, all attitude and lip gloss. “hatter has requested to see you.” he said. she put a hand over her eyes. it was that.. tall, lanky fellow. keiichi, was his name. or at least she thought it was. “ugh. now?” she whined, pouting her pretty lips. “yes, now.” he mocked her. she frowned. he smirked, satisfied with himself. she leaned over and kissed her newest boy toy on the forehead before swinging her legs over and standing up, letting keiichi lead her to hatter.
“ah, (y/n)! my favorite subject. come in, come in.” hatter announced upon her arrival. she rolled her eyes and keiichi shut the door behind them. hatter had two women on each side of him, kissing him and giggling and shooting her looks that said ‘i have what you can’t’. she didn’t want hatter anyways. yes, he was attractive, but she’d be stupid to get sexually tangled up with him, and stupid was one thing she wasn’t. “what do you want?” she asked, crossing her arms and putting her weight into her left leg, putting her hip to the side. hatter proceeded, “i want you to be one of my executives.”
she blinked once, twice. smiled. “excuse me?” disbelief. “you heard me. i want you to be an executive.” she chuckled despite herself. “why?” hatter rolled his eyes. “if you’re smart, you’ll take the position.” and smart she was. she let hatter give her a new wristband. she was number four. “you will report here every day at ten in the morning and ten at night. am i understood?” she smiled sickeningly sweet. “yes, hatter.” she left the room swaying her hips a little more than usual.
that was three weeks ago. she’d seen the blonde boy, chishiya, multiple times since then. a wave and a grin every time. never anything more. she’d also met a girl named kuina at a game. upon learning she was a beach member, they became friends, and that meant (y/n) saw chishiya much more. still, they never spoke. whenever he was around, she would leave, claiming she had to do something for hatter. she didn’t dislike chishiya, oh no. she disliked how he made her feel. his eyes seemed to possess the ability to see directly through her and she hated it. hated feeling vulnerable, like her being had been opened and dissected for everyone to see. hated that she didn’t know what he was thinking every time he looked at her.
so, here she was. a blonde girl on her left and a brunette boy on her right. she recognized them as some of hatter’s old groupies. the girl held her drink and the boy held her hand, massaging it and babbling nonstop about how pretty she was. she was in the executive commons area, ten o’clock, as she was supposed to be. they had meetings twice a day for various reasons. sometimes they were serious, sometimes they just ripped into each other and joked around. either way, she was always there on time, pretty in pink. she saw the way chishiya had looked at her and her two accessories when he walked in. he smirked like it was funny. whatever.
the meeting went on for thirty minutes, and (y/n) received countless kisses and compliments from her little toys. she’d smile and kiss them back, telling them ‘cut it out, you’ll make me blush’. thirty minutes, she had to deal with being showered in touches and words she didn’t want. but nobody would be any of the wiser, she seemed like she loved it. but he knew.
the moment the meeting was over, (y/n) kissed her toys goodbye and left like her heeled sandals were on fire. she made her way hurriedly out to the pool and to the bar, where she ordered a mixed drink and a lolipop. some flirting with the bartender and a flash of her wristband got her the items for free. she took her drink and her lolipop to the tanning chairs and sat down, gazing upon the people in the pool. the music was obnoxiously loud, the way she liked it to be. it drowned out her thoughts and the idea that other people could be perceiving her the way she perceived them. it didn’t take long for kuina to find her.
“hey!” she said. “hey, sugar.” (y/n) handed her drink to kuina and let her sip from it, the way she always would. kuina laid in the chair next to hers, starting to people-watch. kind of. “did you have to participate in any games today?” “no. did you?” “yeah. me and chishiya.” (y/n) huffed out a little laugh. she’d played three games with chishiya total. he was arguably the luckiest and the smartest person in the borderlands. (y/n) was just smart and fast, a good combination to be.
kuina and (y/n) got about ten minutes together before two of her little toys came running over, whining her name and throwing themselves into her arms. “hello, my lovelies,” she’d say. “you look so pretty for me,” she’d say. they’d coo and kiss her face and hand her drinks and pipes. kuina, by default would get attention too. attention she didn’t necessarily want but was too shy to reject. so they sat together, surrounded by desperate beach members and compliments and alcohol and drugs.
“mama (y/n), can i please..?” a skinny brunette boy asked, giving her doe eyes and holding a small bag. it was cocaine. she knew what he was asking. she nodded and lied back, smirking at him. she watched as the boy placed two lines on her thigh and snorted them up, making her giggle at the tickling sensation. she giggled more at the way the people around them cheered, so amused by the fact an executive would let a lowly member snort drugs off of her body. but of course, the wicked know no peace.
“(y/n).” a rough voice sounded. the brunette sat up and his dazed smile disappeared. he instantly paled and huddled closer to (y/n) like a scared child. she looked up to be met with Niragi’s disgusted yet intrigued face above her, looking at her and her little toy with scrutiny. “yes, niragi?” she said, making her tone high and sickeningly sweet, the way she knew he hated. “don’t play coy with me, whore. you know why i’m here.” she raised an eyebrow, a smile building on her lips. “oh, do i? i guess i might..” she said, pressing her painted fingernail to her lips and biting onto it with a smile. niragi was mad that she had taken his position as fourth. he picked on her for it daily, hoping to eventually scare her into submission. wouldn’t he ever get tired?
“give it up, niragi.”, she cooed, her voice smooth and sweet like a symphony. “it’s not my fault hatter didn’t want you as his rabid lap dog anymore.” at some point, an onlooking crowd had formed, and they collectively made an ‘oh shit’ noise at her words. she saw niragi sneer, felt her boy toy tense up. keeping eye contact with niragi, she leaned over and cradled the boys head against her shoulder, shushing him quietly. “it’s okay, baby, don’t let his rifle scare you. he’s no threat. i won’t let him touch a hair on your pretty little head, okay?”
in the next moment, (y/n) had been grabbed up roughly by her bikini straps and hoisted into the air, being held nose-to-nose with niragi. she could smell him, a mixture of gunpowder, cigarettes and vodka. she smiled in his face. “oh, honey. did i hurt your feelings?” she knew he wouldn’t hurt her. couldn’t hurt her. hatter would have his head on a platter in two seconds flat if she had so much as a bruise. every word she spoke was like a jab to a bear. he grew angrier with each passing second, borderline growling in her face now. “i suggest,” she looked over his shoulder and saw hatter and aguni approaching. she leaned in with a seductive, serpentine glint in her eyes, so close she could kiss him. she licked her lips. “you put me down.”
“niragi.” she was dropped to her feet in an instant, and she couldn’t help the coy grin that played on her lips. the crowd that had formed had grown extremely tense. the tension was thick enough to grab out of the air. the music had stopped, and the main source of entertainment was them. it was silent other than the sound of hatter’s footsteps. he stopped in front of niragi and gazed at him, his face cold and hard. “do we have a problem?” he asked. niragi looked angry enough to spit. but, being smart for once, he swallowed his pride and bit his tongue. “no.” he bit out, flickering an angry, pointed look to (y/n), who was being fussed over by her toys. “are you okay?”, they were asking. “that looked so scary, i was so worried.”, they were saying. “i suggest you go on and mind it.” hatter said. (y/n) paused to watch. both men looked ready to pounce. two, four, five seconds passed before niragi clicked his tongue, turned on his heel, and stormed off. (y/n) chuckled. hatter gave her a look and nodded in her direction, only turning to leave when she returned the gesture.
the crowd dissipated, going off into small groups to discuss what had happened. “oh, (y/n). he’s gonna kill you one day.” kuina said, visibly anxious. “oh, he can try.” (y/n) said, biting the nail of her thumb. she seemed to be thinking for a moment, her eyes glazing over and her teeth toying with her fingernail. “(y/n)! you had me worried sick.” her female toy pouted at her, pressing her boobs against her arm. she turned and smiled, lifting her chin and gazing down at her lips. “i’m sorry, pretty. do you want me to kiss you better?” the girl nodded of course, so (y/n) closed her eyes and pressed her lips against hers firmly, only pulling away when the girl was dizzy and out of breath. the girl giggled like a gleeful child and (y/n) smiled, but she genuinely couldn’t take any more of this.
“i’m going to go to my room now, lovelies.” she said. there were varied reactions, most of them being whining and complaining and pleading with her to stay. she kissed each one of her toys goodbye before turning to leave. “wait!”, one of them called out. she turned around to see the same brunette guy from before holding a small gift bag out to her. “here. for.. uh, yeah.” he smiled shyly, and she felt bad for him. just a little. he reminded her of a little kid with that hopeful, shy gleam behind his hazy eyes. he wouldn’t last very long here. she smiled to him, perhaps the last kind gesture he’d ever receive. “thank you, pretty boy.” she accepted the bag, kissed his forehead and quickly walked away before anybody else could stop her for any reason. she didn’t bother to see what was inside of it.
thankfully, the commons area was surprisingly empty. most people were out by the pool, in the casino room, or their own bedrooms. she thanked whatever god above for that. the sound of her sandals hitting the linoleum floors reverberated against the walls. she made it to the middle of the room, between the two grand staircases before a voice sounded behind her. she was so shocked she almost dropped the gift bag.
“i saw what happened just now.”
she turned around to see chishiya leaning casually against a pillar, that permanent sly smirk on his face. “yeah? what about it?” she asked, a little irritated. she didn’t like to be caught off guard and he had just about scared the piss out of her. “you’re lucky hatter showed up when he did.” she rolled her eyes. “niragi wouldn’t have touched me even if hatter didn’t come.” she grumbled under her breath. she faced him fully now, her arms crossed over her chest. it was silent for the next few moments. chishiya did that thing she hated, saw into her. assessed each detail of her, from the top of her head and her slightly mussed hair down to her pink and white painted toenails.
“why do you let them touch you?” she blinked. “excuse me?” chishiya stepped forward, his hands placed in his pockets. “why do you let them touch you?” he asked again. she stared at him and met that feline gaze, narrowing her eyes. she grinned slowly. “do you smoke?” she asked. he shook his head no. “do you drink?” he shrugged. she looked him up and down, the way she had when they first met. she smirked and turned around, starting towards the stairs. she began the ascent and looked over her shoulder with a sultry glint in her eye. if he was smart, he’d follow.
and that he did. she opened the door to her assigned hotel room and welcomed him in, propping a door underneath the handle the moment they were both inside. she couldn’t have a lock on her door, but she could still block it. she didn’t want anyone coming inside while she was sleeping. then again, they’d have to have a death wish to pull something like that with her. her room was a basic, cozy lovers suite. only the best for an executive. she had decorated it with pink liquor bottles and diamond jewelry, mostly gifts from her toys. she plopped down on her neatly made bed and sighed, smirking in amusement at the way chishiya stood awkwardly in the furthest corner from her.
“i don’t bite. come sit down.” she motioned to the extra chair next to her bed. he slowly walked over and sat down, surprised to discover that the chair spun. he seemed to enjoy that. he silently swayed himself side to side while (y/n) tore into the gift bag she had been gifted, delighted to find a pink mini pipe and a little bag full of grade-a marijuana. “awe, fuck yeah man.” she said, happy as could be. she typically hated her toys, but she loved the gifts they gave. she began packing the bowl as neatly as she could, making sure it was a good one. she lit the bowl and took her first hit, a small one. she didn’t want to get white girl ratchet with chishiya in her room.
“want some?” she offered. he shook his head no. she shrugged. “you never answered my question.” he persisted, his voice calm and even, a satisfied feline expression on his face. he didn’t seem intimidated by her, her beauty, or the fact she could have him dead in four seconds flat. “why would i share such a secret with you?” she asked, lying her bowl down on the bedside table. she got up from the bed as he shrugged and she shimmied over him to get to the mini fridge. she pulled out a whiskey glass and poured some type of liquor into it before bringing it back to chishiya.
“i bet you like rich, sweet corn whiskey more than anything else.” she said. his eyebrow rose and he smirked as he accepted the glass. “lucky bet.” he said. she smiled. she sat down on the bed and crossed her legs, making sure she was positioned directly across from him. she tilted her head curiously, watching him drink as he watched her watch him. he broke the silence. “i bet you let them touch you to gain their trust.” she quirked a curious brow in his direction, lighting up her bowl again. “what makes you say that?” she hummed as she took another small drag, savoring it. he leaned back in the chair and manspread a bit, making himself comfortable.
“you run away from them the moment you can. i see your face when you think you’re alone. you’re disgusted with it, with yourself, maybe. am i right?” she stayed silent. he continued. “i saw the look on your face when you left hatter’s office the day he recruited you. you looked like you had just been told you won a million dollars. which essentially, you had. a million dollars worth of government secrets, and that’s what you wanted.”
chishiya smirked as she tried to hide the fact he was right by keeping a poker face that very slightly faltered every time he stated a new fact. “you want to climb the executive ladder socially and politically so when our leader eventually becomes corrupt and falls, you’ll be the one to take his place. because that’s what you want. power.” he smiled lazily as he brought the rim of his glass to his lips, satisfied with himself. “just a hunch.” he said. she snorted and rolled her eyes. “wow. you were on a roll there for a while, partner.” she said, and she tried not to react to the way he was visibly, slightly taken aback by her response.
“i don’t want power, i want safety. being an executive means nobody touches me while i work the inside reigns and gather information nobody else has access to. being an executive means i can hopefully use what i have to formulate a plan to get the fuck out of here. if i’m good with the people, then nobody accuses me of anything, because nobody wants to see my downfall.” she said, her brows knitting together as she explained, a slight edge in her voice. chishiya smirked and nodded, irritating her further. she so desperately wanted to wipe that smirk off his face.
she leaned forward and braced her hands on her thighs to ground herself. she was close to chishiya, could almost smell him. she glared into his eyes with a sharp gaze, her eyes narrowed. “i bet that you were unhappy with your life in our world. you enjoy the games because you know that you could die and not have to deal with anything anymore, or you could survive and further prove to yourself just how superior and intelligent you are. you don’t care about others lives. this entire world is a big puzzle to you, a puzzle you want to put together and you don’t mind getting people out of the way to solve it.”
she said. chishiya’s eyes widened and he pursed his lips, making a ‘wow, alright then’ expression. “clever girl.” he muttered after a few quiet moments. he sipped deeply from his glass, setting it down once it was empty. she was high, he was buzzed, they were both extremely intelligent, and had high hands in the game of life. not a good mixture. “whatever.” she said, flopping down on her bed. “you’re gonna get high off of second-hand smoke inhalation.” she said. he chuckled. “there’s not enough smoke in the air for that to happen.” she rolled her eyes. “i bet you were a professional smart-ass in our world.” he smirked. “i bet you were a stripper.” she laughed, bitterly albeit. “funny.” “yes, i’m often told that i’m funny.” she rolled her eyes.
“seriously, what were you?” she asked. he kept silent, watching her with a lazy, amused grin. “i bet you were..” she paused to think. “an engineer.” she said. he smiled and exhaled a small laugh type thing. “no. i bet you were a bikini model.” she shook her head, amused. “no. nice to know you think i’m hot enough to be one of those. were you a.. typical office worker?” she asked. “no. babysitter?” “no.”
they went back and forth like that for what must have been a full ten minutes, coming up with things like scientist, escort, pimp, business owner, gymnastics coach, dance choreographer, physics teacher, etc. “okay, i give.” she said, smiling. the atmosphere was relaxed due to both of them being a little ditzy from their substance of choice and it made her happy. she was happy that she wasn’t worrying about being perceived by him and happy that he was loosened up enough to joke around with her the way he was. he’d had two drinks and she’d had three hits by this point. “what were you?” he smirked and looked away, seeming like he was going to withhold the information. when she opened her mouth to say something else, he answered. “a doctor.”
her eyebrows quirked up. “a doctor?” he nodded. “nice.” she said, and as she looked him over, she thought that being a doctor did suit him. “and you?” she leaned back and propped her hands behind her head, gazing up at the ceiling. “i was a competitive aerialist.” he nodded. “that suits you.” “thanks.”
they shared a look for a few moments before (y/n) inhaled deeply and rolled off of the bed, making her way to the window. “wanna dance?” “i don’t dance.” she smirked and opened the window, letting the loud music from downstairs flow in and fill the room. “you do now.” chishiya looked to her. she could see the gears turning in his head. “dance for me.” he said. she paused. “what?” “you said you were a professional aerialist. dance for me.” one, two, four seconds went by of her staring at him before she nodded. she went to her dresser and pulled out long wraps of silk.
“i had a hook installed in here for this exact reason.” she muttered. she swung the silks over the hook and tested their grip before she turned her back to chishiya and took a breath. “look at me.” she said. his gaze flickered to her. “are you looking?” “yes.” she grinned. she began a simple but enticing choreography, caressing the silks and vice versa in the the process. she hoisted herself into the air and turned upside down, letting her legs fall into a spread eagle. she looked to chishiya to see him watching her closely, tapping his fingertips against his empty whiskey glass. she slowly allowed herself to descend, swaying her legs gracefully. she looked like a spider in a web, or maybe an angel. she spun once, twice, slowly around the silk, letting it slide against her body as she gently pressed her feet to the ground. she lowered her arms fluidly and slowly before smiling, taking a playful bow. chishiya nodded with an amused smile on his lips.
“you’re good at what you do.” “thank you.” she left the silks hanging there and she went back to the bed, crawling onto it. she lied down on her side and propped her head up on her outstretched arm. “do you know why you became an executive?” he asked suddenly. she shook her head. “no.” chishiya stood and crossed the front of the bed, circling it. he sat down next to her, making himself comfortable. “i do.” she rolled over to face him. “please, pray tell.” he smirked and looked down at her, his hands folded across his stomach. “you’re good at what you do.” he said again. she tilted her head. “what do you mean?” “you’ve been here for.. close to two months now and yet you’re still alive. you’re smart and it’s saving your ass. hatter likes that about you. he knows your insight will help him.” she huffed, a small grin building on her lips. “yeah?” he looked away. she smiled.
“do you know why you’re an executive?” she asked him. “no. why?” “i don’t know either.” he laughed dryly. she laughed because he did. “it’s probably because you manage to be everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. you’re the eyes and ears of the operation.” he nodded. “you’re probably right.” she smiled. she rolled onto her back and gazed up at him, absorbing the look of his face, his deepset sleepy eyes, the curl of his lips, his straight lashes. she smiled again, amused. “what?” he asked. her smile grew. “nothing.” he shook his head and looked away, out the window.
“you’re pretty.” she said. he looked down at her with an eyebrow raised slightly. “what?” “you’re pretty.” she repeated. he shook his head and chuckled, turning back to face the window. “thanks.” it was quiet for a little bit. “i’m not actually a daddy’s girl, y’know. i’ve just.. found that men prefer easy girls. girls without opinions. girls who tell them what they want to hear.” chishiya glanced over at her. “i know.” he said. for some reason, the words made her feel a lot better. she didn’t want to be perceived as brainless; atleast not by him. she valued his opinion.
“i’ll be leaving now.” he stood and crossed the room in no kind of hurry. she watched him go. “why?” she asked. he paused, looked over his shoulder at her. he smirked. “goodnight, (y/n).” and he was gone.
three days went by and she didn’t see chishiya. not at any of the executive meetings, not around the pool, nowhere. he didn’t visit her room either. she tapped her glass anxiously, looking around the room for the millionth time. “(y/n), calm down. i’m sure he’s fine.” kuina gently grabbed her hand to still her movements. she sighed and looked around again, hoping desperately that she’d spot his familiar fading roots, but it turned out fruitless. the clinging of glass bottles and the sound of music rattled around in her skull so loudly she could barely stand it. “here, drink. you need to relax.” kuina pushed a straw against her lips and she took it into her mouth without looking in her direction. her eyes were glazed over and she was clearly lost in thought.
one, two, three drinks in and (y/n) was starting to feel better. she could go twenty minutes at a time without scanning the room for him. kuina stayed by her side the entire time, reassuring her that he would come. clock struck two in the morning. he hadn’t come. “whatever.” (y/n) said, scowling as she pushed herself off of her stool. “fuck him.” kuina watched her go onto the dance floor and immediately be flanked on all sides by two men and a woman. she stood guard and watched closely, ready to come to (y/n)‘s defense if anyone got creepy.
she danced and spun and rolled her body along to the beat of the songs, getting looser and more comfortable in her movements as time passed. two thirteen, he hadn’t come. one kiss, two kisses, grinding. two forty nine, no sight of him. hands were everywhere, all over her body. on her hips, on her breasts, on her arms. people were buying her shots, she was throwing them back. kuina had left. three eighteen. “(y/n).” she turned around all smiles and smudged mascara to see aguni standing in front of her, like a shark in a crowd of minos. people who realized his presence moved out of his way, cutting a clear path.
“hm?” she asked, continuing to dance. her vision was growing fuzzy and her mind was calm, it was only her and the music and the hands on her body. “you need to come with me.” he said. she raised an eyebrow. aguni was like a big brother to her, albeit a mean one. he let niragi pick on her most of the time. nonetheless, she’d trudge by his side and pretend she didn’t know what he and niragi were up to. pretend to be the doe faced lamb, destined for the slaughter. “why?” she asked, laughing. she spun and her ankle rolled, causing her to stumble. aguni grabbed her arm. “now.”
she frowned and protested as he all but dragged her out of the bar, hauling her around like she weighed nothing but a grape. he dragged her up the stairs and to hatters office, where he and niragi waited for her. “what’s goin’ on?” she slurred. “niragi informed me that you were.. giving out our secrets, (y/n).” hatter said. (y/n) looked at niragi like ‘what the fuck man’ as aguni held her upright. “i was.. literally with kuina all night. i’ve barely said two words because i’ve been so fucking..” in her drunken state, she managed to stop herself before she basically confessed her feelings for chishiya to her higher ups. “not the point, i didn’t tell anybody shit.” she said. hatter nodded at aguni to let her go. she fell into her own weight and rubbed her arm, scowling.
“am i interrupting something?” the three of them turned to see chishiya leaning against the doorway, quiet as a mouse. she hasn’t even heard him come in. “no.” she said, as the three boys behind her said ‘yes’. she turned and frowned deeply at them. her arm burned terribly. she moved her hand and looked down to see that it was bruised and irritated, with a few open cuts from aguni’s rings and fingernails. “(y/n) has been selling us out.” niragi purred as he took a few easy strides to her and lifted her chin with his fingertips. chishiya stiffened. “i can assure you, she’s been with me all night. she hasn’t said a thing to anybody.”
hatter turned to her. “is this true?” she nodded, obviously. why wouldn’t she? she was mad at chishiya, but if he wanted to bail her out of trouble she wouldn’t stop him. niragi sneered in her face and she bared her teeth at him, growling like an animal ready to pounce. “fine.” hatter turned his back and waved his hand, motioning for aguni to take her away. “but (y/n)…” he began. “you know what happens to traitors.” she scoffed. aguni reached for her and she stepped back, back into warm, calloused hands. they slid around her hips and warm breath caressed the side of her face. “i’ll take her, thanks.” she shivered at the sound of chishiya’s voice, at the way he sounded so irritated, at the way his hands gripped her hips a little harder as he turned her body and began leading her out of the room.
the moment the door closed behind them she was pulling away from him, all scowls and pissy attitudes. “don’t put your fucking hands on me.” she said, stopping her tracks. chishiya turned to face her, rolling his tongue in annoyance. “so.. you’ll curse at me, but not them?” he asked. her scowl deepened. she didn’t know how to respond. his eyes flickered to her bicep. “you’re bleeding.” he stated. “yeah, i noticed.” she grumbled, storming past him. he followed her, curling an arm around her waist and turning her body, redirecting her path. “i said don’t fucking touch me! where do you think you’re taking me?” she said angrily, too drunk to note how loud she was being or how crazy she probably seemed.
chishiya kept her on her feet as he lead her up the stairs, ignoring her protests and complaining. it took longer than it usually would to reach his bedroom due to her trying to turn around and escape his grasp every three seconds. he pushed the door open then ushered her inside, quickly closing it behind them. “what is your problem?” he asked. “what is YOUR problem?” she asked, raising her voice. she turned to face him as he stood against the door. “you think you can just— ghost me for three days and then show up and play night in shining armor then drag me to your room in what, in— in the hopes that i’ll fuck you or something?”
his jaw clenched. she stared at him, drunken anger and.. hurt, genuine hurt taking over her ability to think rationally. she thought they had bonded that night, thought they could be friends. she felt comfortable around him, she thought he felt comfortable around her too. he was quiet. she scoffed and shook her head as the hysterical giggles started. “unbelievable.”
she tried to push past him. he grabbed her shoulders and extended his arms, putting distance between them. “you’re bleeding.” he stated again. “i fucking KNOW, chishiya. get out of my way.” he gripped her wrists as she tried to push past him again and his strength scared her. he easily dragged her over to his bed and sat her down. “no.” she said, panic setting in. she began kicking her legs at him, getting him in the shins. “(y/n), stop!” she stopped and looked into his eyes for the first time in three days. his brown, open eyes. she stilled. he sighed and released her slowly, cautiously like she was a predator.
he turned and began digging through his bedside table, pulling out bandages, some sort of liquid in a small bottle and cotton balls. she watched quietly as he kneeled in front of her, her head spinning and thoughts clouded. “it will sting. don’t freak out.” she watched as he dumped the liquid onto a wad of cotton balls. his fingers brushed her arm so gently she almost didn’t feel it. he held his fingertips against bicep her to keep her still as he began patting the cotton onto her cuts, wiping away the blood and disinfecting the area. she winced, and she barely heard his murmured apology. it made her blush, made her feel warm inside. she hated it. hated him.
“you look like hell.” he said, standing to his full height. she frowned at him. “use my shower. there’s towels in there.” “don’t want to.” “that must suck.” he said before he grabbed her under her armpits and hauled her into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. “chishiya, let me out!” “i will. once you shower. you need to fix yourself and clean the wound thoroughly.” “are you saying i smell?” she could almost feel his smirk through the door. she flipped the door off, directing it at him spiritually. she grumbled as she stripped down to nothing, leaving her clothes in a pile behind the door. she turned the shower on and looked at herself in the mirror while she waited for it to warm up, assessing herself. smudged mascara, tired eyes, mussed hair from being thrown around, beaten up arm. men are just the kindest souls, don’t you think?
“(y/n), i know you’re not showering. the curtain didn’t open.” she scoffed. “i’m waiting for the water to heat!” she said as she stepped into the shower to get him to stop bothering her. the warmth caressed her senses immediately, lulling her into a calm state. the vapor in the air around her made her feel safe, like she was wrapped in a warm blanket. two minutes turned into twenty, and twenty into forty five. she was nearly asleep, sitting in the tub beneath the stream when chishiya knocked. “(y/n)? did you drown?” his voice came from behind the door. she chuckled. “you wish i had drowned.” she said. she had peed thrice since being in the shower, and she was halfway sober, aka way less drunk than she was originally.
“you should get out.” he said. “don’t want to.” she could sense the way he shook his head. “you’re a child.” “then you’re my daddy.” she said mindlessly. there was a pause. “(y/n), get out of there. now.” she groaned and whined as she hoisted herself up clumsily, like a deer on new legs. she flipped the water off and climbed out of the tub, quickly wrapping a towel around her body as to not let the cold get to her. she wrapped another towel around her hair haphazardly before she realized there were no clothes in the bathroom besides her dirty ones. she opened the door and stepped out, being faced with a cross-armed chishiya who looked like a dad waiting for his daughter to stop trying on dresses in the store. “i don’t have any clothes.” she said.
his eyes flickered downwards and she followed his gaze. there was a neatly folded pile of clothes to the left of her feet, outside the doorframe. “wow. ever so observant, huh mr. smart guy?” she said. he shrugged and smirked. she rolled her eyes as she bent to pick up the clothes and immediately shut the bathroom door behind her. her options were a tshirt and swim shorts, or a hoodie and boxers. his hoodie. the one she had never seen him go without wearing. her face flushed. she chose the jacket because his room was cold. at least that’s what she told herself.
she emerged from the bathroom about five minutes later to see chishiya on his bed. “welcome back, princess.” he muttered. he looked so.. amused. relaxed. nonchalant. she hated it. she walked over to him and crossed her arms. “what now?” he looked her over, taking his time before he stood. “let me see your arm.” she pulled up the sleeve of his jacket and let him see the wound, which was now clean but still red, irritated and stinging. “sit.” he said. she sat down on the bed slowly, shyly almost. he pulled out some ointment and the bandages from before and sat on the bed next to her, bringing her arm closer to him.
it was quiet as he gently dabbed the ointment onto her cuts, her watching him and him pretending to not know that she was watching him, or at least not care. he placed a soft medical cloth over the wound before wrapping it firmly in the bandages, patting it when he was done. “there.” she was frowning. she rolled her eyes and looked away when he looked at her. “most people would say thank you.” he said. she huffed. “you don’t deserve a thank you.” she saw the way he shook his head from the corner of her eye. “why?” “where have you been?” she snapped at him. his amused aura began to fade. “that’s nothing you need to worry about.”
“nothing i need to worry about? it’s been three days. i thought you were dead!” he smirked, but nothing could hide the irritation brewing in his eyes. “you know i’d never die.” “oh, give it up chishiya! you’re not indestructible! you can die and you’re about to if you don’t tell me where you’ve been!” “are you threatening me?” he asked, standing from beside her. he was frowning now. “yes, i am.” “don’t threaten me. i’ve done nothing but be here for you.” “be here for me my ass! you ditched me!” her voice was raising, the tension was growing. she stood as well, standing face to face with him. he was frowning, hard. “if you must know, i’ve been covering your ass the past three days. that shit you pulled with niragi nearly cost you your position and your life. don’t you see that? you’re reckless, (y/n). reckless and stupid.”
she faltered, taking a step back. her face began to burn in embarrassment and shame. “i’m not stupid.” she muttered, glaring up at him like a pouting child. “you’re acting like it. the more you mouth of to him the more you’re putting your neck on the line.” she had never seen chishiya so mad before, never seen him show so much emotion or speak so much at once. she was mad he was doing it to tell her off. she looked down and was quiet. “do you think its easy for me?” he asked. her eyebrows scrunched. “do you think i like watching you whore yourself around? like watching you come within a breath of death every time you step foot around niragi? we both know he’s a trigger happy moron, he’ll kill you (y/n). he’ll fucking kill you.”
that was the first time she’d ever heard chishiya cuss. she was mad he was cussing at her. she looked up at him to see his concerned, angry expression. concerned. concerned for her. his face softened and he sighed, his voice quieting. “you’re costing me too much.” he said. “what do you mean?” she didn’t understand. didn’t understand why he was covering for her, why he seemed upset that she could die. chishiya didn’t care for anything or anyone as far as she knew. “i didn’t come to the bar, or the pool, or to your room because i hate seeing you with other people. i hate seeing them lay their filthy hands on you. on your body. i hate it.”
she faltered again. “what..?” “i hate the way you take it.” he said. he took a step towards her, grabbing her by the hem of his jacket. “you hate them touching you but you won’t stop them. i think about you, worry about you day in and day out. i spend all of my time covering your sorry ass and keeping niragi away from you the most i can. you’re going to cost me my life, (y/n).” he said, gently wrapping his arms around her waist. she rested her hands on his chest shyly, feeling his heart beat beneath her fingers. she felt stone cold sober, the weight of his words hitting her like a truck. “i’m sorry.” she said finally, looking up at him, at the various emotions swirling in his eyes.
“you should be. you’re going to give me grey hairs.” she giggled quietly, noting their closeness. his hands felt so warm even through the fabric of the jacket. “i’m sorry.” she said again. his gaze moved downwards. “how’s your arm feeling?” he asked. she shrugged. “better, since you wrapped it. thanks, doctor.” he shook his head. she looked up at him, at the face she had grown to care so much for. she bit her lip. “chishiya..?” he met her gaze, locking eyes with her. one, two, three seconds went by. three seconds of consideration before her lips were on his. she kissed him fast and gently, pulling away when the feeling of embarrassment started flowing in her brain.
“uh— sorry. im sorry, i-“ she began pulling away from him, trying to get out of his arms. he easily turned their bodies and slammed her against the wall, holding her hips in a bruising grip. he leaned down so close their foreheads were nearly touching. “back out now or hold your peace.” he said, his voice low and heavily laced with something almost sadistic. she stayed quiet. he slammed his lips onto hers in an animalistic kiss without wasting a single second. it was so out of character for him, but she loved it. she had fantasized about this more times than she was willing to admit. fantasized about his hands on her body, his lips on hers, how he’d be. if he’d be rough, gentle, submissive, dominant, quiet, loud. all of it was coming to her.
“kill them.” he muttered against her lips as he kissed her, his hands squeezing and releasing her hips. she was out of breath, her vision fuzzy when he pulled away to begin kissing her neck. “huh?” “i’ll kill them. the next person to put their hands on you.” he said. her breath hitched at the feeling of his teeth grazing against a sensitive spot. he bit down harder, sucking a nice hickey onto it. “oh, please..” she began, dipping her toes in the kiddy pool of arousal. she wanted to see how he’d react to being teased. “you couldn’t kill anyone if you tried.” he growled against her skin before turning their bodies and shoving her down on his bed. “you have no idea.” he climbed on top of her sprawled body and pulled the zipper of his hoodie down almost violently, revealing her naked breasts.
he groaned at the sight of her peaked nipples just begging for his attention. “chishiya..” she whimpered, arching her back for him. she rubbed her thighs together mindlessly, overwhelmed with emotions. love, hate, lust. she hated the way he dissected her with his eyes, loved the way he made her feel, lusted for his touch. he ignored her sounds and began to palm her breasts, feeling them up. he ran his hands across her chest, down her abdomen and over her plush hips where bruising was starting to blossom from the amount of times he’d grabbed her there. “do you let them touch you like this?” he asked, tearing his jacket off of her and throwing it onto the floor.
she gasped but didn’t answer, earning a slap to her hip. it didn’t hurt, but it shocked her enough to gain her attention. “answer me. do you, huh? do you let them fuck you?” she shook her head no frantically, squirming beneath him as he began hastily pulling down his boxers from her body. he tossed those aside too, groaning. he sat up to take her appearance in fully. her wide pupils, her parted glossy lips, her mussed hair spread out behind her head like a halo, her arms by her head, her naked, beautiful body, ready and keening for him. he took in the way her chest rose and fell with each hard breath she took, the way she kept squirming her thighs together.
“where do you need me?” he asked. she bit her lip and whined as she rose her hips off the bed, pressing her core against him. “use your words. show me.” he smirked, amused by how easily she became so obedient and touch-drunk. she whimpered and began sliding her hand down her body slowly, making a show of it for him. even when she was hazy with want she managed to tease him, to drive him crazy. she cupped her cunt and slid a finger between her lips, feeling the warm wetness that had begun to gather at her needy hole. she pressed that finger against her clit and whimpered, beginning to rub slow circles around it. “here.” she breathed, “need you here.”
he exhaled heavily and got off of the bed, removing his swimming trunks. he undid the ties hastily but slowly pulled them down, letting her see his happy trail turn into a peek of his bulge, then letting his cock spring out fully. his tip was a pretty pale pink like his lips, aching and leaking with pre cum. in the midst of being away from her for a second, he realized that he didn’t know what felt good to her. he didn’t know her body, didn’t know what to do. he kept his composure calm as he directed her to scoot up the bed. when she had done so, he climbed back on top of her and pressed a hand against her throat, firm but not choking.
“tell me what you want.” he said. she shivered. the smell and the feeling of him against her body, knowing his cock was so close to where she needed it most was driving her insane. she swallowed her pride and ran her hands over his shoulders, looking into his eyes with her big doe ones. “want you to touch me, ‘shiya.. want you to make me feel good.” she mumbled, gasping as she felt his tip brush against her clit. “yeah?” he groaned into her ear, smirking against it. her skin felt so sensitive, like her senses were heightened by ten. she gasped as he began rubbing his tip between her lips, teasing her, pressing it hard against her entrance and then taking it away, making her whimper and squirm for him.
“yeah. please, chishiya fuck me.” she pleaded with him, her hands growing frantic against his body as he ground his cock against her. “mm.. do you deserve it?” he asked. “yes!” “i don’t agree.” he hummed. “you’ve been kicking me, cursing at me.. should i really touch you the way you want me to?” she was near tears, knowing she had been a brat to him. she felt bad, but she needed him so badly. it has been so long since she’d gotten laid, his stalling was making her impatient. “i’m sorry,” she whimpered, starting to press messy kisses across his face and neck, wherever she could reach. he hummed against her collarbone before he flipped them over, helping her to straddle his hips.
“take what you want from me.” he said. her face flushed at the idea. he had basically just handed her a credit card and told her to go crazy in her favorite store. she froze, unable to think. “what’s the matter, hm?” he purred, running his hands over her hips. “cat got your tongue? what happened to all that confidence of yours?” he teased her, and she pouted. shyly, she took his cock into her hand and slowly began pumping him, starting from the base and up to the tip, squeezing gently. he groaned and she sucked in a sharp breath, the noise making her throb. “are you okay with this?” she asked. he nodded. “take me.”
she nodded and wasted no time in lifting her hips and aligning his tip with her entrance. he kept a firm hold on her hips as she slowly lowered herself onto him, moaning at the pressure. he groaned and squeezed her tighter, encouraging her to continue. she sat still on him for a moment, letting both of them adjust to the feeling. when the pinching ceased, she lifted her hips again and arched her back, straddling him like she would a motorcycle. she looked back to watch herself as she rode him, reveling in his quiet groans and grunts as she took him into her tight cunt. “good.. thats good. keep going, pretty girl.” he purred, starting to help her when she faltered. he’d lift her hips for her and help ease her back down, sliding his hands to her ass to feel the way it jiggled when it came in contact with his pelvis.
“fuuuck..” he groaned, getting gradually more pussy drunk the more she rode him. “faster.” he started pushing her down onto his cock faster, impaling her on his thick length. she let him, her moans growing in volume as he fucked her. “shiya.. shiya, s’ so good..” she whimpered, balling her hands into fists on his chest, keeping herself upright as she half rode half took his cock. “yeah?” he asked, genuinely curious. he would never purposefully hurt her. even though he didn’t know her well, she had intrigued him from the moment they played their first game together, and that rarely ever happened. he stood on the sidelines watching her for ages, studying her, her behavior patterns, her flirting mechanisms, everything. he knew she had probably been with a lot of partners before, and that was fine. he just wanted to make sure that she felt good.
“yeah.. don’t stop.” she huffed out, her movements becoming sloppy. she ground her hips forward each time she came down, catching her clit on the neat patch of hair on his pubic bone and amplifying her pleasure. her tits began bouncing in his face as they sped up, mesmerizing him. “shit.. so pretty for me. just me.” he began groping them, flicking his thumbs over her perky nipples. she cried out, her cunt tightened around him and squeezing him tight, trying to milk him for all he had. she was babbling brainlessly now, saying how his cock felt so good inside her and how much she wanted him.
a shift of her hips had his tip rubbing perfectly against that sensitive, spongy spot inside of her, and she couldn’t help the loud moans that followed. chishiya’s face was flushed and his eyes were hazy with lust when she looked down at him, seeing the way he eyed her tits as he played with them. she could feel him throbbing inside her, signifying that he was close. “shiya.. gonna cum. wanna cum, please.” she whimpered. “yeah?” his eyes met hers as he trailed his hands down her body, settling on her waist. “cum for me. cum on my cock, pretty girl.” he groaned against her neck, licking and biting and sucking over the marks he had left previously.
a few more thrusts had her falling apart on his dick with loud, unceremonious cries, soaking her thighs, his pelvis, and a bit of the sheets below them. she rode out her orgasm on him, using him for her own pleasure. he slammed her down on him a few more times before his hips stuttered and his seed spilled inside of her warm pussy, filling her up. the feeling of his cock pulsing inside her as he came made her twitch in pleasure. she looked down at him, breathing hard, a small smile on her lips.
“so.. are you still mad at me?” she asked. he chuckled. “i feel as though i should be asking you that.” she giggled and leaned down, pressing her lips against his. it wasn’t like their other kisses, it was gentle and sweet, like an innocent first love. when she pulled away she was all smiles, and chishiya had a lazy grin on his face. they sat catching their breath for a moment, chishiya staying tucked comfortably inside her. “(y/n).” “hm?” “i’m serious about what i said. i’ll kill the next person to lay a hand on you.” she smiled dreamily, leaning down to press a chaste kiss against his lips. “i know, daddy.”
he stilled. she stilled. she regretted it immediately. “i’m sorry.” she mumbled, worry starting to show on her face. she watched his expression change from blank to primal before he suddenly flipped her over, trapping her body beneath his. “that little mouth of yours is gonna get you in trouble, bunny.” he groaned against her ear, trailing his hands against the curve of her ass before landing a hard slap against it. his cock was rock hard inside of her now, ready to go again. “say it again.” “daddy..” she whimpered softly, looking over her shoulder at him. he buried his fist in her hair and yanked her head back, pulling a moan from her sweet lips. “louder.” he growled as he pushed his hips against hers roughly, reaching deep inside her worn cunt. “daddy.” she mewled, her eyes rolling back at the feeling.
“yeah.. that’s right.” he began fucking into her, hard. his pelvis hit against her ass quick, pushing his cock deeper and deeper inside of her each time. his hand stayed tangled in her hair, his free hand resting on her throat, keeping her back arched for him as he kept her head back. her moans and cries only turned him on more, made him want to ruin her, to put his mark on her.
“who else can make you feel like this, huh?” he asked into her ear, biting down on her lobe. “who can make you cum like i can?” “n-nobody!” she mewled like a bitch in heat, joyfully letting him pound into her sopping cunt over and over again, pushing his seed deeper inside. “only you, only you!” she panted like a prayer, her hand resting atop of his, prying at his fingers as he tightened his hold on her throat. “god, (y/n).. you don’t know what you do to me.” he growled, squeezing her throat. “make me want to fucking ruin you.” her cunt spasmed around him hopelessly, sensitive from her previous orgasm. “shiya, can’t take it! s’ too much!”
she cried, but it fell upon deaf ears. he sped up, determined to push her to her limits, to mark her, to own her. “say my name.” “shiya..” “not that one.” he growled. she blushed as her lips parted obediently, the name he loved so much slipping past easily. “daddy.” he tugged her head back harder and attached his lips to her neck, creating more bright red hickeys for everyone to see. “that’s it.. yeah, fuck, that’s it girl. louder. let everyone know how good i make you feel.” he sped up, going harder inside her abused pussy. she moaned shamelessly, loudly, borderline pornographically as the sounds of his skin slapping against her ass competed with her in volume. “daddyyy! daddy, m’ gonna cum!” she warned him as her cunt tightened around him even harder than before, preparing to take him for all he’s worth.
“good,” he moaned. “cum for me, tell me how good i make you feel. go on, bunny. cum for me.” he coaxed her, pushing and pushing her buttons until she couldn’t take it anymore. he slammed into her even as she came again, pounding her like a toy, reveling in the way her beautiful cunt sucked him in greedily. his thrusts became sloppy soon after and he emptied himself inside her once more, burying himself to the hilt inside her warm pussy. he gave her ass a few hard slaps, leaving faint handprints, making her moan. she was panting and totally spent by the time his spurts of cum stopped, leaving her stuffed full and with a warm fuzzy feeling inside and out.
“you’re mine, (y/n).” he panted, pressing soft kisses against her face and shoulders, rubbing his hands gently over her bruised hips and red ass. “promise?” he chuckled. “i promise.”
he pulled out of her and helped her to sit upright before he started helping her clean up and get dressed. he helped her into his jacket and boxers, smoothing her hair away from her forehead and checking on her bandages while he was at it.
“are you okay?” he asked as he lied down with her, cradling her head to his chest. he rubbed little circles onto the palm of her hand with his thumb as she came down from her high and caught her breath. yeah..” she mumbled, exhausted. he nodded and pressed a kiss to the crown of her head. “i’m here.” he said.
the next morning, he was gone. her eyes fluttered open slowly, adjusting to the light that poured in from the still-open window. when she reached her hand out, his side of the bed was empty and cold, meaning he had been gone for a while. she sat up and looked to confirm, seeing a ruffled but empty mattress. she tucked her knees into her chest and stared blankly at the comforter, replaying the events of the night before. being worried off her ass, getting drunk, having several sets of hands at her at once, hatter accusing her of selling him out, aguni cutting her arm, chishiya bandaging her up and then fucking her until she couldn’t remember her name.
and now he was gone. typical chishiya. she should’ve expected it. she rolled out of bed and trudged into the bathroom to splash some water on her face and figure out what she wanted to do with herself. she saw her clothes behind the door and realized she wasn’t in her room. it was his. she frowned, quickly washed her face off and pulled her hair back before leaving the bathroom and sliding her shoes on. the moment she wrapped her fingers around the main door handle, it pushed open and revealed chishiya. her frown deepened and she tried to push past him, keeping her mouth shut.
“(y/n)?” he blocked the doorway and put a hand on her shoulder. “what?” she asked sharply, glaring at him. she crossed her arms. “what’s wrong?” he asked. “you left me. again.” “(y/n).. it’s eleven am. i was at the meeting. i tried to wake you and you told me to kill myself.”
her mouth fell open for a moment before she started laughing. she put her hands over her face and took a step back to let him into the room fully. “i don’t remember that, i’m so sorry.” she giggled, peeking from over her fingers at him. he shook his head and kicked the door shut behind him, holding up a small bag. “i told hatter you were sick with a hangover. i brought food.”
he lead her to the bed and let her sit down, taking a seat next to her. he began setting out the contents of the bag, pulling out some fruits, bread, and other mundane things of the like. she ate quietly as he checked on her bandages, telling her that he’d have to change them later.
“chishiya?” “hm?” she set her bread aside and looked into his eyes. “can you promise me something?” his expression softened and he ran his thumb over her bandages. “i can try.” “promise me that.. we’ll get out of here together. no more disappearing from me.” she said. he nodded. “okay. i can promise that.”
she smiled and leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, reveling in the way he leaned into her touch.
being in the borderlands was hard. being an alleged spoiled bimbo was harder. but having chishiya as a companion made the struggle worth it. she kissed him again, knowing they might not make it out together, but the thought was enough for her to try.

(HEAD CANON TIME WOO)
We all know that Chishiya is really good with stressful situations in the borderlands, but I was wondering what you think he would be like in some more everyday stressful situations that weren’t life or death? Like.. at the airport for example? Being in charge of not just himself but also the reader
I reckon he’d be overprotective of reader
In situations when they need to be in a crowded place like an airport, a shopping centre, a crowded bar or street… he’d probably not let go of her but if it’s less of a crowded place then he’d let her be on her own but he’d always be keeping an eye on her from afar
In not so stressful occasions when they are with friends, relatives… he wouldn’t want to disturb her and would just let her enjoy her time with them <3

You know if Alice in Borderland 3 is set in the real world I really, really hope they give at least one character Borderlands-flashbacks that blend in with the real world to a near-seamless degree. Your subconscious is desperately trying to communicate that something happened. It was real.
No one else can see the firelight dancing across the carpet when you check into a hotel, and you can't feel the heat of it, anyway. No one else can see the vines choking out gleaming high rises or the moss covering the pavement in the reflection of your rear view mirror. No one can tell you why all the fruit in the supermarket smells rotten. No one can tell you why, when you throw open the curtains in the middle of the night after a particularly vivid nightmare, all of Tokyo is dark (except for one white spot in the distance, and you can almost taste the dread in the back of your throat).
That is, until you meet someone you almost recognize.

Tunnel Vision
Pairing: Troy Calypso x Siren Vault Hunter Reader
Genre/warnings: Slight Borderlands 3 spoilers, angst to fluff, swearing, violence, mutual comfort, slightly out of character, not proof.-read 😭
Summary: After finally making your way to one of the last vaults, you now have to face one of your biggest challenges yet. But luckily this “challenge” has a weak spot for you, that even he doesn’t realize.
Tumblr media
Two steps onto the Sanctuary’s cold metal floors, just like the good days. Unfortunately, this time on the ship had a good possibility of being your last. You head up to the deck, Lilith insists to say your goodbyes to the others and you do so. Claptrap, Ava, Tannis, even Marcus. They all knew what could happen, but you’re a vault hunter, if they really didn’t trust you going to hells door, they would’ve said so.
Back in the day, before they tried to become gods, you were extremely close to the Calypso Twins, especially Troy. You two bonded over the fact that you were extremely strong and as cold as you appeared to many, to him you were a shining star in his lonely world. His sister never really got along with him then, always avoided the “parasite”, but you gave him a safe space. You two didn’t need anything else except each other to survive. That was until you disappeared, no one knew why except for you. Something happened, after visiting a nearby graveyard you found a glowing crystalline structure coming from the only living tree. Curious, you went up to it, lo and behold it turned you into a monster. Once you made contact with the glowing crystal, the light it sourced flowed through your veins. You didn’t know what happened but you looked different. You were still you, of course, but you felt odd. You felt as though you needed to get away from this nothingness planet and as unfortunate as it was the shitty people who inhabited it. All you did was leave a note at the Calypso’s door, and leave. You felt only a slight hint of remorse, but it when the paper hit the dirtied concrete floor, it was far too late to turn back. You forever masked yourself and used as much armor you could, hoping it would ward off the past.
Now, you’re an infamous Vault Hunter- and a newly branded siren. This is what the calling was, you finally made yourself into what you wanted to be. The crash came when the twins made their way back into your life, by stealing Lilith’s. She was alive, thank the stars, but they took her siren powers, and to her they were everything. They didn’t realize who you were, or at least you thought. When being confronted by the COV’s minions you couldn’t help but notice an unfamiliar glint in Troy’s eyes. One that was broken, frustrated, yet somehow longing still. You feel as though he knew it was you all along. This broke you, it didn’t seem like it, but you’d never forget.
Days passed, weeks felt like eternity, and you’re now going on the hunt to kill the twins who found you. Ironic, isn’t it? This hurt, as much as it shouldn’t you can’t help but feel as though you were to blame in all of this. If you didn’t leave, maybe they wouldn’t try to destroy the universe. If you didn’t leave, maybe you could’ve lived a happy life with Troy, as much as Tyreen hated the idea of you two together. You wouldn’t need the money, or the help, just family. You breathe out deeply, exiting the sanctuary for what could be the last time.
Tannis took over their turrets before you and the others race through their barricades to wipe the COV out. Blood, bodies and profanities being thrown around like the best party in pandora. Once you meet up with Ava, she gets you into the base and helps you blow up their statute covering one of the final vault entrances. She salutes you before you part your ways. You slide down the concrete ramp as you’re faced with Try draining Tyreen to power the laser that’s currently trying to destroy the moon.
“Well, well, well, look what we got here! Finally, the vault thief in the flesh. You’re just in time, Tyreens tied up a bit to watch your agonizing demise!” Your hand hovers over your weapon “Troy, we don’t have to do this.” He scoffs “oh yeah, why not?” He starts to circle you, like a hungry vulture “This isn’t you, and while you may not believe me, I understand. You just need to stop this, take this one chance.” He groans and rolls his eyes at the statement “There is nothing to understand besides the fact that we’re gonna become gods, and you’re gonna be a pile of mush!” He lunges at you before you run past him “God, why won’t you just die, Vault Theif!” You groan and take off your mask, though you’re tattered and bruised, he could never forget a face like yours. “…You-You’re alive? I thought- No, why?!” He stands in place petrified before his knees buckle under him and he drops. You slowly walk over to him as he stares at your feet in dispair before he whispers “…Why did you leave?” You sit down in front of him with the same soulless expression on your face “I’m not sure, I think I just felt like- like I needed a purpose. I get it if you’re angry with me.” You take your weapons off, and lay them to the side “I would be too, Troy.” The way his name rolls off your tongue like honey opens his heart more. “I’m.. I’m not sure how to feel.” His eyes blink around, still avoiding you. You carefully put a hand out and he looks up “Come with me Troy, please.” His brows furrow “It’s too late, no matter what I do I’m gonna end up a god without you, or in prison without you. I hate how much you dictate my decisions, but I can’t let you go again.” He holds your hand and grips it gently “I won’t let anything happen to you, Troy. Please, just trust me.” You rub the back of his hand with your thumb while you stand up. “I know you don’t have to forgive me for what I did, but if you could just take this chance to start anew, maybe we can continue what we had… except maybe a little cooler.” You smile a little at the end, trying to nudge in a bit of humor. He stands, legs almost failing him again, before he stands tall. Gosh, you forgot how tall he was, it’s almost a little intimidating. “Personally, I’m still upset that you left…” he said as his hands moved from your fingers to your waist “but, I think you can make it up to me later.” He says as his breath flirtatiously carries the ‘r’, your cheeks tint
“God, will you two shut the hell up?! I’m almost dead here, but I’d rather die than watch you two make-out! Besides, what happened to you Troy? She’s the reason we’re so powerful, and you’re just gonna forgive her and ditch me?! What the hell man!” He huffs “Tyreen, I know we want power but let’s just think for one second, what if we weren’t the only beings ever? Wouldn’t endless life, power, and wealth get boring after a while?” “I-“ He paces around “-Ya know what, I don’t even care what your answer is, Ty, I know what I finally want now. Not what you wanted me to bandwagon, what I want” Tyreen’s eyes are widened with shock before he turns back to me “I know it’s been like a good couple of years, but the way I feel about you- about us it hasn’t changed. And though I didn’t tell you, I want you to spend whatever fucked-up future we have with me. Vault Thief or not, I just want you by my side again.” He grabs your hands, “And maybe a slight make-out sesh on the side?” He tilts his head smiling sinfully, “Don’t push your luck, Troy” he rolls his eyes before resting his forehead against yours, you can faintly hear Tyreen’s groans of disgust in the background. “Give it some thought, yeah?” Your arms make your way to his shoulders, while his arms pull you in closer. Finally a moment of pure euphoria, Troy’s lips finally link with yours, you can almost feel as though both of your powers are doing the same thing. They’re not combining, but they’re blending and becoming stronger with every wave of guilt that leaves your shoulders. He smiles into the kiss, right before you hear three familiar Sanctuary-based voices;
“What the fuck?!”
Aw… shit.
~
(A/N): sorry it’s a little OOC I just need some dependent men rn 😔, I hope you enjoyed tho (could do a 2 parter on this if you guys want, but I do have more borderlands content in store!)

Two words stuck in her head. Nothing else. No idea why and when they fell, no clue for whom or what they were meant, she didn’t even know whether they were her own. But she clung to them like a lifeline.
How beautiful, was also her first thought when she opened her eyes, seeing nothing but a white ceiling. A good third of it was bathed in the light of a setting sun. Just very few dust particles danced in the air. Nothing special and yet breathtakingly beautiful to her.
She turned her head towards the source of light, a window in the wall, also white. From her angle she just looked at a skyscraper nearby, probably an office building judging by the smartly dressed people strutting through the floors.
How beautiful.
After a few more moments of gazing her mind cleared up. She put two and two together when she realized she was lying in a foreign, clean bed and noticed the monitor next to her place showing colorful numbers and uneven but periodic lines. Only a second later did she realize something was clipped on her index finger, connected to the monitor, and an infusion provided her some kind of clear liquid. Small drops fell from the bag into the tube, another rhythm just like the lines on the monitor. Somehow the silent consistency, the certainty of repetition calmed her.
She was in a hospital, that much was obvious. Next to her was a curtain, too small to hide another person lying in a bed. A woman, maybe in her late thirties, sleeping. She, too, was linked to a monitor and patched up quite a lot. Briefly, she wondered if she looked the same.
She turned her head again, looking through the window once more. Sadly, she wished she could see the sky. It probably looked nice with the setting sun. Another beautiful sight.
Just like the firework.
A firework. There had been one. A wonderful one. She couldn’t remember what it looked like, but she still knew.
It was grand.
It was final.
Strange. She felt rather indifferent. It seemed wrong. As if she should feel everything at once but instead there was nothing. She just lied in her bed, observed the office people in the building across and thought of nothing in particular.
She breathed. She felt warm. Safe. It was… nice. It was…
Beautiful.
Within the next hour, when a nurse checked in on her and her neighbor, her waking state was no longer of peace and solace. They told her what had happened, yet she barely remembered. This was nothing to worry about, they said, because she had just woken up. Her memory probably would return in the next few days. Given the circumstances she was lucky to get away with a few broken bones, bruises and a heavy concussion resulting in a headache.
Truly, extremely lucky as others were not. Many had died. And strangely, she was not in the least surprised when they gave their condolences for the loss of her brother. One might say it was the consultant’s tone or eyes showing pity before the message was delivered but as soon as he said her brother’s name, she knew he was gone. Of course, she grieved, nevertheless.
In the afternoon her father visited. He got informed that she had woken up, that she was back among the living. Their chat was brief and somewhat superficial. She and her father didn’t have a lot in common. He was asking about the incident, but she couldn’t provide any sufficient answers without really remembering. Still, he assured her that he was glad that she’s alive.
Even though she had apparently done that quite a lot recently, she slept in early that evening. It had done her good because on the next day her memory returned and she felt a lot more like talking, eating, drinking– living, really.
It had been a hot, sunny day, and she and her brother had met to catch up. Since he had moved out to go to college, they saw each other much less frequently. Like the two adolescents they were they had decided to go to Shibuya. She remembered they had mistaken the meteors for fireworks like everyone else. He had even taken out his phone in order to film the beautiful spectacle. After that, for a very brief second there had been immense noise and a gigantic force making her own body feel as light and fragile as a bubble. Then had come the blackness. And then…
And then…
Then her heart had stood still for a whole minute, apparently. Thousands of people went through reanimation, not even a fifth of them were successful. Her brother’s heart, for example, was just one of many that had done its last beat.
Hers however… After a minute she had come back. Or so she was told.
A minute of floating between life and death.
To her, it had felt like an eternity.
~~~
It was weird to have so many strangers around and yet to feel heavily connected to them at the same time. It’s not just her, she knew, they all acknowledged each other as kindred spirits. Without talking to another everyone was aware of their fate, of lives and love lost in the catastrophe, of the humbling experience of standing right at death’s door.
At least two floors of this hospital were full of survivors of the Shibuya incident. Some were looking quite fine and got discharged just one or two days later, others were more heavily wounded, physically as well as mentally, and needed quite some care, and a few were still bound to a deep slumber.
She had to stay for a while since several rips were broken and one of her feet got crushed underneath the debris. Still, lucky enough. She got to keep all her limbs, her consciousness and, most importantly, her life. After another day of rest, her physical therapy started. She was glad; it felt good to move a little even though it was somewhat confusing that mundane things like getting up and walking to the bathroom left her in need to rest and to catch her breath. At the end of the week, they decided to take a step further and go down the floor. Walking with an orthosis was awkward but she got the hang of it.
A couple of days later, she got used to her slow but steady routine. Her friends visited sometimes, even her father called again, and physical therapy became a set appointment in her day she was always looking forward to. Even though she still didn’t leave her floor, she relished on the time she was able to be outside of this small room. She even recognized some faces now – a young woman with dreadlocks for example seemed to have physical therapy at the same time as her since they usually met on their slow struts across the floor, both accompanied by a therapist and greeting each other with a smile.
It had been almost a week when she became fidgety. On another of her friends’ visit she suggested to go outside for a little to catch some fresh air in the hospital’s little park. They wanted to ask the nurse for a wheelchair, but she refused. After all, she had grown accustomed to the orthosis and felt a lot better than last week.
They spent not even half an hour outside before she grew tired, but it was a nice time. Her friends did ask about the incident, of course, about her brother, about her mental whereabouts, but they also told her about their own lives. Those snippets of ordinary everyday life made her weirdly happy, and she was glad.
Glad to be alive.
Strange. There was a time, not too long ago, when she had thought different. All she had needed was a minute, apparently.
She voiced her fatigue to her friends and tried to hide her own frustration about her weakened condition. Immediately, they made sure to get up and accompany her back to her room. One of them excused themself only to return a few minutes later with a present for her from all of them: a huge teddy bear, as big as her upper body. She was all eyes when she spotted this giant of a stuffed animal holding a plushy heart in its hands which read GET WELL SOON. The gesture alone and the proudly smiling faces of her friends made her burst out in laughter.
With her heart as light as a feather she didn’t feel the slightest bit embarrassed when she grabbed her gift, hugged it tightly and hobbled to the elevator with her friends. She knew some people gawked thanks to this giant teddy bear of hers, but she couldn’t care less right now. Somehow this short time in the park as well as this ridiculous yet really cute present had lifted her mood. She hadn’t even been aware that she had been so down for the past week.
As soon as the doors of the elevator opened, she went on. With her new, fluffy friend narrowing down her field of vision she didn’t notice she was about to run over a person stepping out. “Woah, careful,” they mumbled and dodged.
“Oh, sorry!” she apologized and turned her head to look at the person she almost ran over. It was a young man with long hair dyed blond. He wore comfortable clothes and slippers rather than something for outdoors. She guessed he was a patient. His narrow eyes confirmed her guess, having dark rings underneath. His gaze was even worse – dull as if the light refused to reflect in them.
Tired was not even the right word to describe him. He seemed exhausted.
Another survivor of the Shibuya incident.
“Don’t worry about it.” His voice was a little raspy, his tone somewhat apathetic.
And that’s what all there was to it. A small encounter between two strangers, a few words were exchanged, and everything was settled.
Still, she didn’t go ahead and instead stood there with one leg inside the elevator. She examined his face a little longer, just at the split of a second. As if she was looking for something. He stirred some kind of… familiarity inside her but she couldn’t pinpoint why.
Perhaps it all would be a bit awkward if he hadn’t been doing the same.
A moment later his gaze dropped to her bare neck. Not in order to gape, that much was obvious. It seemed like he wanted to check something. That startled her. And it supported her guess that she had to have seen him before. “Sorry but have we met?” she genuinely asked.
His answer took a little longer than one would usually need. “I don’t–” He paused. Then his eyes flicked back to her face and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly. “I don’t think so.”
Now it was her who hesitated. His answer was meant to be nonchalant, but she got suspicious. A gut feeling told her that he had actually planned to reply differently. “Are you sure?”
His smile widened. “Pretty sure.” Alright, this was more convincing. Before she was able to reply, he waved to the gigantic teddy bear in her arms. “I’m jealous,” he said with a hint of jest in his voice. “You got yourself a nice, quiet roommate there. Mine can’t stop talking my ears off.”
“Sounds… fun,” she replied, unsure how to react to that. “So, you decided to take a break?” With a tilt of her head she pointed to the open area full of patients and visitors and into the direction of the hospital’s park.
“Exactly,” he nodded putting his hands in the pocket of his sweater. Then, he looked at something behind her. “I guess, your friends are waiting for you. See you around.” He lifted one of his pocketed hands slightly as if to wave for goodbye.
Right, her friends! They had gathered in the elevator already waiting for her to join them. “See you,” she said to his already departing back as the doors of the elevator closed.
“Someone you know?” one of her friends asked.
“I’m… not sure,” she hesitated. “Don’t think so, no. I’ve never met him.” These words in her mouth felt foreign. Wrong. As if they didn’t belong there. It had to be the exhaustion.
POV: This takes place right at the beginning of the pre sequel. The reader gets separated from Jack.
Just a lil quicky from my archives. I've got a bit for this oc character written but its all in the setting of Tales From the Borderlands with my sweet Rhys
if you think you see mistakes, dont mind them pls
You hid out in Jack’s office when Dahl took over.  It was the only place on Helios they couldn’t break into and you were thankful for that since they were killing Hyperion employees without batting an eye.  “Y/N, are you okay?”  You heard Jack in your ear and you let out a sigh of relief.
“Yeah I’m okay.  I made it to your office in one piece.”  You reassured him.
“Okay good.  But you can’t stay there.”  He sounded out of breath then he was talking to someone.  “Great, you must be the new vault hunters I hired.  I’m Jack.”  He greeted other people.
“You hired vault hunters?”  You asked, unsure how they were supposed to help with Dahl taking over Helios.
“We need the extra muscle.”  He defended, then you heard him getting shot at and your connection went dead.  Desperate to get to him, you ran to the fast travel machine.  But you knew if you turned it on you risked getting killed and the office getting taken over, plus you had no idea where he even was.  So you headed to the front of the office.  The CL4P-TP units were pounding away on their computers and paid no mind to you whatsoever.  You peaked out of the front door of the office and saw a few Dahl near the middle of the expansive room setting up barriers and placing ammo boxes everywhere.  You didn’t stay in view long before you moved back towards the fast travel machine.
“Babe.  Y/N.  Are you still there?”  Jack’s voice was out of breath but he was coming through loud and clear just as you started heading towards the fast travel.
“Are you alright?”  You asked, trying to stay as calm as possible.
“Yeah, I’m good.  I’ve got the vault hunters with me.  We’re making our way to the moonshot terminal.  I locked the office up so you’re safe there.”  His breath was shaky like he was running.
“I’m heading to the fast travel.  I’ll meet you there.  I can shut it down remotely when I reach you.”  You were anxious to get back to him.  For a few seconds he didn’t protest.  It was like he was processing what you had said to him before he flat out told you no.
“No way, princess.  If they get to you, or manage to get into that office?”  He trailed off but it was too late you had already left for the receiving bay.  When you got there you could hear the shots being fired and you quickly worked to lock his office back up.  It didn’t take long for you to finish and when you had you could hear one of the moonshot cannons coming up.  It was after it opened you saw a small group of people step out.
“You must be the vault hunters.”  You let out a sigh of relief when you realized they weren’t Dahl soldiers.  But then you got worried.  “Where’s Jack?”  You asked, even you could hear the panic in your voice.
“He’s down there.  The lift wouldn’t work so he sent us up to dislodge whatever is in it.”  A taller man with what seemed to be cyber parts answered you.
You walked over to the lift to see half of a loader bot jammed in it.  After a few good, swift kicks you finally got it out and watched the lift descend to get Jack.  Waiting, somewhat patiently for it to come back up, you completely ignored the vault hunters around you who had been looting everything in sight.  When he finally made it to the top you couldn’t even wait for him to exit the lift before running over and wrapping your arms around him.  “I thought I told you to stay in the office?”  He sounded amused instead of the angry you thought he would be.  “And miss all the fun?”  You didn’t let him go, but held him out in front of you.  You heard the small mechanical cough from the CL4P-TP unit so Jack moved your arms and went over to continue what he was doing before for you ignored his wishes and showed up.  “This should get us all off the station.”  He mumbled as he turned the power on, allowing them to get ammo from the dispenser.
“Hyperion Scum!”  You heard a yell come from above you.  “Right after you kill this guy!”  Jack yelled from his position at the consol.  You pulled out your pistol and fired a few shots, but so did the others.  You weren’t sure who managed to get him with everyone shooting at once, but the Dahl soldier went down shortly after.  You then moved back over to Jack, getting an uncomfortable vibe from the group of new comers.  “Why did you hire them again?”  You asked Jack as he worked.  “You’ll see.”  Was all he said as he continued to type out the commands for the moonshot.  You watched on as he informed the Vault Hunters about the moonshot, then he looked over to you and nodded his head towards the entrance.  “What?”  You asked, knowing full well he wanted you to get in with them but that wasn’t going to happen.  “Babe, please.”  Jack sounded desperate.  “Fuck that.  No.  There’s no way I’m getting in that before you.”  You put your foot down.
“Someone has to send it.”  He knew he wasn’t going to be able to go with you.  Then you heard the Dahl soldiers getting closer.  “Y/N, get in.”  He yelled and you listened.  “I’ll meet you down there.”  He called before shutting the doors so you were trapped with the vault hunters.  The little Claptrap unit was the only one you actually felt you could get along with.  The others all looked, like they wouldn’t be fans of you.  So you sat in the back of the moonshot as it made its descent.  You could feel the container speeding up and you had a horrible feeling that the landing would not be fun.  You moved from the corner to the middle and noticed the eyes of the other passengers, some small nods, then they followed suit.  The little robot didn’t quite get it at first, but did as everyone else did.
The landing was more of a crash, and it was rough.  When you snapped out of your daze you heard a female’s voice call through to the inside of the container.  “You alive in there?”  Her accent was thick.
“Yeah, we’re all good.”  The woman wearing the cowboy hat called back.  “Great.  Now when you open the door, you’re going to want to hold your breath so we can get ya to an O2 station.”  She called.  Then the tiny robot immediately opened the container.  The vacuum taking the door abruptly into space.  “Hurry now.”  The woman from before called, she ran back towards where you assumed she had come from and you all quickly followed her.
You felt like your lungs were going to explode.  Mentally pleading that the O2 station was nearby.  You could see from the corner of your eye that everyone else was struggling too, except the Claptrap unit.  What you wouldn’t give to be a robot right now.  “We’re almost there.”  You could hear the woman call from ahead of you, and you could see a large building, hoping that was the one she was taking you to.
When you finally reached an oxygen filled environment you took in the largest breath you had ever taken before.  The pain in your chest was still there and your head was pounding, but you were breathing.  “I’m Janey Springs.”  She finally introduced herself after saying a few things you couldn’t catch since you were more focused on air.  You felt some eyes on you, but ignored them while you gained your composure.  The rest of the group was doing much better than you and had been talking with Springs.  You were only here because of Jack anyway.  You had no real mission except to get back to him and you had a feeling they were meant to do more.
You hung out with Janey as the Vault Hunters went and ran some errands for her.  “So you’re not a Vault Hunter, you’re….”  She trailed off waiting for an answer.  “Hyperion.”  You answered, leaving it at that.  She didn’t prod, which you were grateful for.
It wasn’t long before the Vault Hunters came back with Oz kits.  Wilhelm, the one with the cyber upgrades even brought you back one.  “Thank you.”  You nodded after he handed it to you, refraining from using any of the usual pet names since he did scare you slightly.
Everyone gathered in her main room, the large window overlooked the moon’s surface.  It was quite beautiful and you managed to get lost in the scenery, completely ignoring the briefing Janey was giving about the next mission.
chishiya shuntaro x g!n reader
— warnings: fluff, descriptions of typical aib violence, fits both manga and live action, one singular suggestive remark, no use of y/n.
— summary: you arrive from a particularly rough game to an almost empty beach, thankfully there's still a specific doctor awake to treat your wounds.
— word count: 2.4k
Tumblr media
your leg barely healed from the last game, and you had to play again already.
it was a wonder why there were so many people left in the borderlands. if it weren't for your high ranking on the beach's hierarchy and the minor hope you had to leave this world once all the cards were collected, you would have probably given up.
it was tiring and stressful. even though so many people were living life as if deathly games weren't waiting for them the next day, you just couldn't brush away the fear of a laser hitting you on the head out of nowhere or waking up with once again new rules to the games.
you waddled to the beach's main hall entrance with the few survivors from the game you played. the three of spades should have been easy, but even you underestimated it, getting scratched violently by a black panther in between. all that mattered was that you were alive, and soon the wound would heal itself like every other did (not really, your leg was full of dried blood, stopping the wounds from opening, but still in critical condition.)
all you had to do was go to your room, take a shower, and go to sleep. there was an executive meeting going on, but you were too unbothered to even care about the hatter's waste of time. you realized everyone you knew would be either sleeping, partying, or at the so-called meeting, which was more of a lecture.
while walking around the hotel rooms, you relished the quietness. it had been a while since you were able to rest, and all you needed was a bed and a pillow to pass out on. that was until a figure in a white jacket showed up in one of the corners of the hall.
"what the-!" you gasped, jumping back at the surprise and placing a hand almost immediately on your chest while trying to catch your breath. dramatic? maybe a little. but you did get scared at his sudden presence.
chishiya stood in place while staring at you. upon regaining your composure, you looked up and noticed he had his signature raised eyebrow look, and you felt the need to explain what went on. "i didn't expect to see you there. aren't you supposed to be at the meeting?"
in reality, you had never been that close to chishiya, apart from the usual small talk due to being both executive members. you had no idea what was going on inside his head at any moment; his expression was definitely unreadable. every time you two were placed together somewhere, the awkwardness made itself present. even if you'd try and engage in a little chat, he'd end it too quickly for you to feel stupid for even trying. if he knew your name, you would be surprised.
instead of answering, chishiya kept silent. usual, you thought to yourself. as your mind ran around looking for ways to end this awkward situation, chishiya's gaze seemed to be elsewhere. your eyes finally met his, but his didn't meet yours. instead, he fixed himself on your legs.
"you're bleeding," he said bluntly.
"oh..." you looked down at your own legs, bending slightly to take a look at the situation. your mouth opened agape once you noticed just how bad your wounds looked.
you didn't realize it the moment you got it, but the scratch from earlier must have messed up with some other of your past injuries, opening both of them up. a trail of blood was running down your legs, and as you glimpsed to the floor, you realized it was also stained by so. for how long has it been like this? you wondered.
"yes, i'll take care of it later..." you mumbled pathetically.
it was quite embarrassing to be in this position, especially in front of chishiya. for some reason, you always messed up your words when talking to him or anyone superior overall. maybe it was because you'd picture a whole dialogue in your mind before speaking, and when actually doing it, words came out messed up and switched.
you finally looked up with the stupidest expression on your face, realizing chishiya's eyebrow had only raised more. you bit your lip in embarrassment as he spoke up again. "if you take care of that the same way you did with your other wounds, you'd be better leaving it how it is."
if you could be more ashamed than you were, you would. perhaps he was just trying to get under your skin, but the only thing you wanted to do was get out of this situation.
you stood there awkwardly as your gaze never met his, unsure of what to say next. instead, he was the one to break the silence.
"follow me." he said after a sigh left his mouth.
and you did exactly so. or at least you tried. you noticed that chishiya didn't even bother to look behind to see if you were actually following, but you also noticed he was moving slower than he usually did, probably because he knew you could barely hold yourself on your own two feet. you weren't even sure how you knew how fast he normally walks.
your thoughts were interrupted as you realized he was actually taking you to his room. you knew this path like the back of your hand since you would always watch where he was going after the executive meetings. this was where you registered that you had been analyzing every single one of chishiya's movements without even knowing it. you probably looked like a creep as soon as you grasped it all.
chishiya opened the door to his room and finally looked at you, as well as at the trail of blood you left behind. something in his gaze — you could not understand what — changed as his movements hurried slightly.
"sit down in a comfortable position," he demanded with a voice that almost seemed caring, pointing to his bed.
you did as asked, although you struggled to be in a pleasant posture due to your legs almost opening apart.
this seemed all too weird to you. the chishiya that barely looked your way for more than five seconds was the same chishiya that was now leaving his suite with a first aid kit, seemingly prepared to treat your wounds without even asking.
"why are you doing this?" you couldn't help but interrogate. his latest actions were way too out of character, at least to the chishiya you made up in your mind.
"i was bored," he replied sarcastically, a tone of irony present in his voice. now this was more like the chishiya you knew, even though it was obvious that wasn't the real motive.
you wanted to keep smothering him with questions because your mind was way too confused to function properly, but your line of thought was put back as you saw him kneel before you and open the box he positioned on the bed. you would have folded and turned into a blushing mess right there and then, if it weren't for the agonizing pain that decided to come back.
you got a quick glimpse of what the box held: gauze roles, sterile gauze pads, eye pads, a roll of adhesive tape, elastic bandages, sterile cotton balls... your head started almost immediately hurting looking at all the utensils that you had barely any idea what did.
"relax. focus on staying awake." chishiya said it with that same voice from way before, tense but almost sweet. he gathered something on one of the cotton pads; you could not figure out what, as your mind almost went blank. "this will hurt."
and as he finished his sentence, not a single second was left for you to process as he started patting your wounds with it. you immediately hissed at the pain, tears threatening to spill from your eyes as you bit into your hand in a way to muffle your whimpers.
your head moved away from the scenario. even though you wanted to keep your eyes on such a focused chishiya, you would have probably passed out from looking at the amount of blood leaving your leg. especially now that, with the alcohol-coated cotton, which you developed a deep hatred for, he had removed the thin layer of dried blood left, securing your wounds.
he moved the piece of pad very quickly around your wounds, removing the blood as fast as he could, probably to make the process faster and less hurtful. the thing is that, if he were more patient, the pain would probably not be half as bad as it is right now. however, you were too dazed to tell him to be more gentle. tears finally ran down your cheeks as you did your best to keep one hand holding you on the bed and the other brushing them away and covering your mouth at the same time.
even through all the pain, your biggest worry was how stupid you probably looked in front of a guy who must have had something to do with the medical department — you assumed by the way he seemed so professional right now.
"calm down. the worst part is almost over." he said, not bothering to look up to guess that you were driving yourself crazy with tears from your whimpers and constant sniffling.
his words managed to comfort you for about 3 seconds, as he finally stopped moving the torturing device on your leg and you opened up your eyes, only to realize he was just picking up another one and coating it with alcohol once again.
before you could even process it, you audibly groaned in disapproval, almost forgetting who was just below you.
he suddenly stopped, his head finally lifting to look at you with that unbothered classical look, his mouth slightly open. you looked at him hesitantly, your eyes still coated with tears and your face somewhat puffy, quickly realizing your mistake.
"would you prefer for me to leave your leg as it is?" he said it with a superior tone. even though the sentence was formed as a question, you could tell he definitely didn't mean it as one. more like a reprimand.
"sorry..." you muttered under your breath, your eyes immediately drifting away from his, trying to avoid getting his confront once more.
he kept his eyes on you for a second before sighing and shaking his head, his attention going back to your leg as he started to move the cotton pad once again. you hissed between your teeth, your hand moving back to your mouth as you closed your eyes as strongly as you could to avoid any tears from spilling.
to your benefit, this part ended quickly as he finally finished cleaning your wounds. you sighed in relief, now only a sharp but endurable pain left on your leg as you finally relaxed your muscles until he spoke up again.
"your injuries aren't that serious. you were lucky you ran onto me." he commented, staring at his newly finished job. so much, it almost made your head hurt. "there is a specific cut that would normally need to be sewn together, though. however, we don't want to hear any more whining tonight, do we?"
his words traveled immediately to your heart, your face heating up for the nth time during this whole interaction, unable to even stare at him.
from this moment on, your mind just went somewhere else as he finished patching up your leg. you couldn't lie and say that by the time he was finished, you didn't feel much fresher and calmer, being able to look at your leg and see it coated in white instead of red.
he finally got up with a sigh and stored everything back into his first aid kit box, entering his suite and placing it back wherever he hid it.
"thank you; sorry if it was an inconvenience," you said in a low voice when he came back. your eyes stuck on your leg, moving it around as if you never had two functional limbs before.
he stared at you, seemingly having fun with your own stuff, with a smirk on his face that, if you had caught onto it, you would have died of embarrassment once again.
"now, be careful not to get wounded like that again." he commented, turning his back to you and moving around the bed, looking for something you didn't pay attention to on one of his shelves. "i might not be as gentle as i was this time."
you were brought back from the moon as he finished his sentence. that was him being gentle? you could practically hear the smirk on his face when he said that, but it still managed to get you thinking. you knew better than to complain, though.
"what were you before coming here?" you remembered wondering a few moments before, due to his skills in treating you. the question came out without thinking twice.
you could hear him stop while looking for whatever it was when you asked that, to which he answered quickly. "i studied medicine. i wasn't a doctor yet, though."
if chishiya could have gotten any hotter to you, he just did. you bit your lip, breaking your process of thinking before your thoughts led you elsewhere.
"that doesn't mean i wasn't smarter than most of the fools that call themselves doctors at the hospital i studied at."
there was that snarky response chishiya was missing, you thought. you turned around to see him, finally realizing that he was actually looking for something between his shirts. you tried to peek into it, but he suddenly pulled something out that looked like a soda can, with a few cables around it. he finally moved closer to you again, handing you the item.
"it's a bomb," he added, as you rolled it around your fingers, trying to figure out how it worked. "so you can be more prepared when playing. make sure not to use it on yourself."
he clearly meant the last part as a joke, but that was something that the percentage of happening wasn't zero, you had to admit. "thanks."
even though chishiya seemed stern, there was something about him that attracted you. and something that made him help you tonight, about which you still weren't sure, happened to make you more confused. you wondered about asking him again, but knowing the littlest bit about him would make you sure that he'd just avoid the question once again. at least your leg was patched up, and you could go to sleep peacefully tonight.
Lots of dumb fluffy stuff, projecting myself onto reader character at times. Sorry! I'm used to it :p
Mostly x male characters, but I can write for any gender.
Personal HCs for characters getting put in
I like monsters. A lot. Ask me for x monsters. :)
How to request: Just send me an ask.
What do I write for: Check out what I've recently been talking about! Anything to do with horror has a chance.
Ex: DBD, Borderlands, Poppy Playtime, IDV, Overwatch, Slasher Horror, Monster Hunter Monsters (PLATONIC), D&D (general x monster/race things), HLVRAI, TF2
DOs
Only really x reader or general HCs, but I can also write for poly :)
Fluff, Angst, Suggestive Content
Romantic, Platonic, Familial
Yandere(??) I suppose
DONTs
The obvious ones. I don't have much to say here.
I won't make incest.
Explicit abuse.
Proper NSFW/Smut, just not my thing
Characters off the top of my head I'll write for:
DBD: Literally any killer but Krueger I hate DBD Krueger. Survs (esp Nea and Sable...) also the Entity!
Borderlands: Vault Hunters + Co., Bandits, Colonel Hector, Tina (plat/fam only for bdl2 version.), Basically any enemy actually, platonic with any creatures
Poppy: Any monsters lol. In my versions, they're all inhabited by ADULT workers. Toon/Normal versions included.
IDV: Anyone, hunter preference
Overwatch: Junkers (NOT HAMMOND), Sigma, Lifeweaver, Moira, Illari, Luna (Paris Omnic <3), Omnics in general
Slasher Horror: Like literally anyone, just make sure you specify what they're from/which version you'd like
Monster Hunter: I love almost all the monsters (bugs included) so feel free to ask for anything plat/fam with them
D&D: Mimics for sure. Maybe some Baldur's Gate/Dragon Age characters!
HLVRAI: All characters, especially Benry.
TF2: Literally anyone, pref for mercs at least
Scopophobia: John Doe, Maison, Heim
A Story For Another Day
Tumblr media
After Handsome Jack's death, everyone seemed to have a different reaction. Some celebrated, some cried, some wondered what does it mean for the future. With the failure of the Vault of the Warrior, Hyperion itself struggled to remain on the market. Yet, new Eridian secrets get discovered and the company's legacy prevails. Each Vault is a journey and each journey demands you to lose something in order to gain something else.
Timothy, out of fear for his own life, escapes Helios. Ready to begin anew on an old planet, away from anything Hyperion, he finally tries to catch a breath in his ever-changing life.
Rhys, completely bereaved, tries to take matters into his own hands. With a vow to become the new Handsome Jack, he works towards his dream promotion to get at the top of the corporate ladder.
They meet each other on Pandora, because of a certain Vault Key deal.
The first chapter of my Borderlands fic has been posted!
It is an oc x canon, my sona x Handsome Jack, story that follows the basic plot of: what if Sl33py was one of the Vault Hunters Jack hired in the Pre-sequel?
It isnt an x reader it is x oc and i know that's not everyone's thing but i poured my heart into it so fuck it im posting it.
Summary: This is the story of how the universe became theirs.
warnings for graphic violence, mild sexual content, mental health struggles, and canon-typical alien prophecy induced psychosis.
Note
what do u think chishi kisses are like ? what do they taste like ?
It depends on the situation of course
Many people agree that he’s not the kind of boyfriend who will shower you with kisses and I agree too! Maybe a random quick kiss on the lips and that’s it
But when he’s hooking up, I reckon the kisses get sloppy asf
