A/n: mako and Bolin have the most requests so far,I'm really glad tbh that people are submitting requests,keep em coming.i also added in Korra and Kuvira ,since this seems like a perfect imagine for them.

Overprotective Lovers

Warnings: none.

Starting off with Mako,he's the kind of guy that doesn't take well to someone talking to you in some kind of mean way in front of him, especially if you're more a more naive person.

Even if you take care of yourself, he's still there making sure you're away from harms way.

If you ever get hurt or kidnapped,it's over for whoever did it, it's not like he's usually a calm person,but take away his favorite person and you got yourself a big problem to deal with.

Even when you're not exactly in danger, he's there. It's sweet really,but it can also be annoying when overdone.

You like being protected by him,but not all the time, he didn't like it when you talked to Korra, claiming since she's the avatar she would draw unnecessary attention over you and put you in complicated situations.

Of course you explain to him that you're a big girl and that you can watch over yourself,but he just can't understand it. {Sigh}.

Korra? Well she had her ups and downs. But she learned ,ok? Once you two got together ,this feeling that's she allways had grew stronger,her urge to protect you.

Of course she would blame it on the fact that she's the avatar,but really it was her being protective of you.

Even before dating her ,you knew this would draw a lot of attention to yourself, and potential enemies of the avatar would want to harm you. But that didn't stop you,after all you're free to love whoever you want even if it endangers you.

When Korra faced Amon she used to be Terrified something bad would happen to you, even her dreams would be hunted by dark images. She would see Amon preparing to take away your bending,but each time she would wake up before anything happened,in cold sweat,with you by her side.

If you're a light sleeper,you would assure her nothing happened to you,and that you're okay.

Even after she defeated Amon, more villains appeared,making Korra constantly worry about you. But one thing is sure, that she would always be there to protect you,and in case anything happens,to save you.

This boy is the most carefree of them all. He doesn't really have to worry that you would be kidnapped or hurt most of the time,but if it ever happens, either someone hurt you or something went wrong in the mission?

He's full boyfriend mode on. He wouldn't be like Korra or Mako, first thing he would do is bring you to safety, revenge not being his thing.

If you're okay ,that's what matters to him. But now if you're especially targeted by someone? He's not as chill as before. Especially since he recently learned how to lava bend, which makes him a pretty strong bender, definitely not the kind you would want to piss off by chasing around his girlfriend,nu uh.

Bolin knew it was a mistake to introduce you to his boss, Varrick.

That man would make flirty jokes with you,which always made Bolin roll his eyes and mock him quietly.

So what if he's smart and rich? You wouldn't like a prick like him.

Whenever Varrick got too close, your boy would be there to put distance between the two of you. It's not that he's jealous,but he knows how his boss is.

Yeah no. I doubt anyone would even try to threaten you while she's around.

After all the power and respect she gained, expect people to fear you just because you're with her. So mostly Kuvira doesn't have to worry that anyone is gonna try anything.

After all she made quite a name for herself.

Even so, being The Great Uniter's s/o came with it's disadvantages.

For example,if someone really wanted to hurt her,they would target you. You're her soft spot,and she knows it.

Yes,you have your personal guards picked by Kuvira herself. Just because she doesn't expect you to be attacked it doesn't mean she won't be prepared for it.

You're hers,and the world knows it.

Bolin x Plus Size!Reader

a / n : in this mini HCS it's mainly just how I think he'd be with a plus size / overweight reader !! I'm personally plus size / overweight n thought this would be a sweet little treat for the other bigger people who love this dork

I will say this is kinda all over the place. it's 4:30 am, I'm sleepy and shaky bc of insomnia n this is mainly just some sweet fluff. most is just them in their relationship too :3

Let's be honest this boy will love just about anyone. doesn't matter looks as much as it does personality.

when he first meets you how you hold yourself — whether confident or shy — he takes interest!! this boy bout falls in love with you when you hug him for the first time months into the blooming friendship.

Bolin can understand insecurity. he sometimes feels he isn't enough either so if you're insecure about your chubby body, or your possibly any part of your body that you've deemed 'too big', he's very understanding and suggests talking to him about it.

he really cares, he wants to be there for you like you are for him so when he notices this insecurity he's quick to tell you he's there.

"just so you know, you can always talk to me you know?"

once you feel comfortable telling him about these insecurities — if you have them — he's listening with a caring stare and a hand on yours as he listens so intently. he never forgets what you said and always tries to pay attention to the parts you're insecure about, said parts becoming his absolute favorites when he looks at you.

if you're not insecure he doesn't mind either!!! he loves that you view yourself so well and that it doesn't affect you!! it makes him extremely happy that you're comfortable in your own skin because it means you're not struggling with this specific part. if you struggle occasionally and Bolin learns of this he's quick to come to comfort and remind you how pretty you are.

dates are fun!! he loves park dates but he prefers a nice date at home. don't get him wrong he loves going out to eat, he loves showing you off even more. but having the comfort of sitting on the couch, eating something homemade or takeout, maybe a mover is put on or you're both listening to the radio while cuddling.

Bolin himself , in my opinion , has a bit of a chub on his belly. it's more like muscle that's soft that looks like chub than actual chub/fat but still. he almost giggles if you like to play with his 'chub', even finds it affectionate when you do it and often will give you kisses in return

his favorite activity ever to do is to cook together. personally I don't think he's a great cook, ask him to cook something and it's likely a little burnt but he can boil water!! though seriously he's an ok cook, he's better at being the one to chop things up and let you cook than being the one seasoning or mixing things up.

he loves to hold you from behind with his hands holding your sides softly while he rocks you both side to side as you'd focus on cooking the meal. he'd finished prepping all the ingredients for you a couple moments ago and now continued his routine of cuddling you, rocking side to side like her always did. it was always comforting and a nice way to spend time together.

he loves to be the big spoon with you!! he loves to hold you close and softly pepper the back of your neck in kisses as he focuses on helping you fall right to sleep.

Oo can you do one abt domestic moments with Korra, Kuvira, Mako and Bolin? I feel like it’d be very cute and fluffy

Anything for u 🫵

One of the many domestic moments you have together, is reading while snuggled up on the couch or the bed in your shared room.

Kuvira would have one arm wrapped around your shoulder while holding a book about Earth Kingdom. Your head comfortably pressed on her chest listening to her beating heart while she reads to you in a soft spoken voice.

Of course you pay attention to what she reads,but it doesn't mean you take your eyes off her beautifully sculpted face, analyzing the expression she makes when reading certain sentences.

Like I mentioned in my previous Bolin fic, he's the type to cook for you. And on certain occasions the two of you find yourself in the kitchen.

Whether what you prepare is dinner,or breakfast it's something you cling into.

Sometimes when you get home ,Bolin is halfway cooking something so you just decide to join.

Music would echo through the kitchen while you're skillfully chopping some vegetables for your chosen dinner.

Hit with a surge of affection, Bolin would sneak behind you slightly moving his body with the music, placing his hands around your waist and leaving small kisses on the back of your neck, making you giggle quietly. A smile placed on both of your lips.

Long comfortable conversations about your future and past, ideas on life and possible theories.

Mako would say his part,how he imagined his life when he was little and what he achieved so far. Memories from his childhood would surface to you, bringing a smile on your face.

And you would ask theoretical questions,like if you would be together in every universe,or if things would go different,would you still be togheter? Would you ever even meet?

He would ease your minds by giving you a kiss on the forehead,then out of nowhere would tickle attack you, making you unable to breath trough your histerical laughter.

(I forgot Abt Korra 😭)

Spirit world is the place we're the two of you are most at peace.

Both sprawled on the soft grass staring at the sky, trying to figure out what forms each cloud has it's a great couple activity.

Korra would stay with her head on your belly pointing at the sky, claiming she saw a sky bison cloud.

You would chuckle,and tell her that they're actually two bisons. Just like you two are here, maybe they have a cute little bison family.

Who knows.

oh my god dude I was looking through crusty ass 2012 fics/sarc they’re really good fics no matter when they were made or how they contradict later eps (when tlok first aired) and I found this one linking to a livejournal prompt about amon being mako&bolin’s dad and. oh my god dude.

I was three years old in 2012, so obviously I’m unsure of the timeline of airing/these posts, but based on context clues it’s about midway(?) through the originally intended miniseries, when the viewer didn’t know much about amon, or the bending brothers’ backstory.

so I read this, knowing all the information was incorrect and not plausible for canon and it has thus been rotting my brain. because honestly, what the fuck guys?? these mf fic authors are on an entirely different level than the fucking PROFESSIONAL SCREENWRITERS of this show. I would have literally gone insane if that was canon. because it adds a whole nother layer of angst to empathize with to mako+bo as well as potentially reducing hate on mako because he could ACTUALLY BE FLESHED OUT AS A CHARACTER ONSCREEN. GUYS.

so yeah. please please please please please please please go read the fic it’s so good even if it’s madly inaccurate just adopt it as a little pet au in your head like I did because I will be going insane about this for at least the next week. if I can get my thoughts coherent enough to right down, potentially expect more on this soon,,,
