+ a/n; day 3/7!! should i write a p2 of sakusa as a dad bc i have such an unbelievable soft spot for this man it isnt even funny

+ part two.

Sakusa was never a fan of kids. Being the youngest child in the family he never had any younger siblings or cousins to learn from only the troublesome kids he encountered in public. The kids who would sit near him on a plane as the athlete flew across the country for his next game and wouldn’t stop crying the whole flight causing him to not get any sleep. Or the kids who would run rouge in the malls he would often avoid like the plague. Children made unnecessary messes as well, often throwing up and contracting constant illnesses from preschool. Kids are like animals, they can smell fear. Sakusa would never admit he was nervous around children but every child who ever came in a close proximity would instantly start screaming due to the aura Kiyoomi exerted. 

Kiyoomi never really asked you how you felt about having kids, assuming it wasn’t all that important to you considering you never brought it up. He was wrong, you wanted nothing more than to start your own family with Sakusa and settle down. 

Sakusa never believed you enjoyed the presence of children until you had gone to one of their practices and spent your time hanging out with Bokuto’s 3 year old son, Kaito. Bokuto had found no one to watch his son this morning and opted to bring him to practices for the first time, luckily for the team you were more than happy to keep Kaito company whilst the team practised. Kaito, similarly to his father, needed constant attention. The whole practice Kaito couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as the two of you ran around. You helped Kaito practise his volleyball as he wouldn’t stop talking about how he is going to ‘be just like dada one day.” The constant laughter from Kaito kept catching Kiyoomi’s attention.

“Yo Omi-Omi you good?” Atsumu asked, handing Kiyoomi a water bottle. “Oh? You watching Y/N-chan and Kaito? Why don’t ya just have one of yer own, Omi-Omi?”

“I never thought Sakusa would be the type who likes kids.” Meian added on.

“I don’t like them.” Kiyoomi said, taking a drink from his water bottle. You were currently bent down talking to Kaito. You and Kaito turned your heads around to look at your husband and his team giving them a big smile and a wave. 

“Well Kaito sure seems to be getting your attention today, not even Y/N distracts you this much Omi!” Hinata jokes.

Bokuto soon ran over like a proud dad picking up his son throwing him in the air, causing the biggest smile and giggle out of Kaito. “Dada!” Kaito smiled.

Sakusa slowly walked over to you standing by your side watching Bokuto and his son. He slowly wrapped his hand around your waist softly whispering into your ear, “maybe we should have one of those.” He said pointing towards Kaito who was now playing with Bokuto and Hinata.

You couldn’t help but turn to Sakusa with stars in your eyes, “really, Kiyoomi?!” To which Sakusa nodded in response, you knew about his hatred to kids and his constant urge to scoff at those crying in public but hearing those words come out of Kiyoomi’s felt like the world was complete. You couldn’t help but bring Kiyoomi into an excited kiss despite his constant protests to not kiss in front of his team. But just this once he could ignore their teasing he thinks before kissing you back.

BONUS: What happened to Bokuto

"I'm super sorry... Boss is saying I need to stay. Please take care of the kids for a little longer."

"It's okay... Really, it is!" Bokuto assured you, saying his goodbyes and hanging up the phone.

He turned back to his kids with a blank expression. "Guess what."

"What?" The kids asked in unison.

"We have two extra hours to play around!" his blank face quickly transformed into an excited smile.

Excited "yayyy"s were heard from all three as they ran back outside to play around.

Time passed quickly as they played various games, joyful laughter echoing throughout the backyard.

"Alright, try receiving this! Remember the pose I taught you." Bokuto served the ball gently.

Sumiko ended up receiving it but it flew off into a weird direction, landing high up in the tall tree in the backyard.

"Ah! I'll go-"

"No. I will go." Bokuto stopped her by pressing a hand to her chest and going to climb the tree himself.

It was time to prove himself as the cool and awesome capable dad.

He climbed with vigor, imagining his kids saying "You're so cool!" "You're the best, dad!"

He grinned happily at that thought, now being high up in the tree. He could almost reach the volleyball. Almost taste victory.

"Just... a little... more..." he stepped on a branch to get closer and his hand grazed the volleyball.

But he failed to realise the branch was too thin to support his weight and he tumbled to the ground with a surprised yelp, the volleyball bouncing to the ground next to him.

"Oh my god, dad, are you okay?!" Kaito ran over to his side.

"I'm.... okay...." he said so, but groaned in pain as he got up, mortified.

"Hahahaha!! Dad fell on his butt!!!" Sumiko laughed wildly, pointing a finger at him, making Bokuto blush even harder.

"H-Hey, it's not funny, at all!!" Bokuto pouted, but it only made Sumiko laugh harder.

How embarrasing....

He walked into the house to cool off, Sumiko's laughter fading behind him, glancing at the clock.

CRAP, it was that time already?! You're gonna come home soon and you're gonna scold him if the kids aren't clean!

"Sumiko, Kaito! Let's go in the shower!" he yelled in a panicked voice.

"No!" they yelled in unison.

"Do you want to be scolded then?" Bokuto asked as if he is immune from being reprimanded by you even though he was quite scared of that fate himself.

"No!" the kids ran past him to the bathroom and he followed them, hastily washing both of them and giving them new clothes after.

"Whew.... I thought I was a gonner..." he mumbled to himself as the kids ran downstairs, all clean and ready to watch TV. You aren't home yet.

He sat down next to them, handing them the remote and groaning in exaustion.

He felt himself heat up in embarrasment at the memory of falling down the tree.

All he wanted to do was look cool... Why must the universe hate him...

His frown was apparent and his hair was deflated, his kids settled in his lap, hugging his waist.

"Dad, you're still dirty! You're gonna get scolded..." Kaito yawned, cuddling up into his side and closing his eyes.

"Oh..." he looked around, wincing when he noticed all the dirt around the house and on him. Seems he didn't notice the mess he made while he was in a panic to get the kids cleaned.

Today was going so well, too...

"Kaito, Sumiko, let's go to... bed." he wanted to get the kids in their rooms so he could atleast attempt to clean the mess, but when he looked down both of the kids were already asleep.

"Oh..." he would normally smile and remark how cute the sight was if he wasn't feeling super sad and embarrased right now.

He himself was getting sleepy, even if it seemed like he has infinite energy to others.

He started nodding off himself, quickly turning off the TV before he falls asleep.

"I really wish you were here..." he whispered, closing his eyes.

Dang I kinda forgot that you write for Free! as well. But anyway, Makoto Tachibana with a reader who's currently dating a kuudere (not Haru)?

Reader is the typical girl next door, like literally and metaphorically. She's his neighbor and a really nice and dependable one at that, she always happens to make the start of his day off to a good one no matter what kind of stresses are ahead of him that day. Also doesn’t help that she's really cute so naturally he grew to have a crush on her. The only flaw he ever saw in her, is her taste in men. As her boyfriend is always stoic and brutally honest (kinda like Akaashi with Bokuto), it's always frustrating to watch her throw her affections at him, dress cute for him in dates, and see her cling on his arm and he doesn't even try to reciprocate. Menwhile he's in the sidelines thinking to himself and swearing to the heavens that you deserve better. Having question like:

What do you see in him?

Does he even consider you his girlfriend? Does he even love you?

He doesn't even reciprocate your affections and he just insulted you, how could you still want him?

You turned me down...for that?

Ahhh such a great concept! The boyfriend turned more into a jerk than a kuudere, but I tried asdfghjkl.

You were dressed up again. Pretty flowing dress, just casual enough to pass off as a day outfit. Your makeup was flawless, as usual, and your hair was pulled back into a bun, two locks of hair tastefully spilling down the sides of your face.

You were beautiful. Makoto always thought that, of course, but when you dressed up for Kaito, you always looked ethereal. 

Too bad your boyfriend never appreciated it.

You could dress up in a pageant dress and wear heavy makeup and all Kaito would say is “that’s not practical” or something cold like that. That, or he’d ignore your getup entirely. That was just the type of person your boyfriend was.

Makoto took the mail out of the mailbox. It was always so coincidental that he got his mail at the same time his angelic neighbor left for her first college class of the day. You never noticed, so he always used that moment to talk to you.

“Hey, (Y/n), how are you today?” Makoto called out.

You looked up with a smile, “I’m doing well, how are you, Makoto?”

“I’m doing great,” Makoto smiled back, albeit much more fondly.

You hovered at the end of the driveway, waiting for your boyfriend to come pick you up, as always. Makoto pretended to sift through his mail so he could stall for time. He wanted to spend as much time with you as possible.

A blue car tears up the road, squealing to a stop in front of your driveway. Your eyes lit up, hopeful. Kaito rolled down his window and, without missing a beat, said, “Your hair is messy.”

Makoto watched as you jerked in disbelief and then deflated, “It’s supposed to look like that… I thought it’d look pretty.”

“It doesn’t,” Kaito said bluntly, “Now get in, we don’t have time to spare.”

Makoto held his breath, silently begging you to stand up for yourself- to tell Kaito you’d drive yourself because of what a jerk he was.

“I love you,” you said, voice wavering. Kaito didn’t respond, merely staring blankly at you for a moment before saying, “We’re going to be late. Get in.”

You obediently opened the passenger side door and climbed in, tears sparkling in your eyes. Makoto bristled in anger, but kept quiet. 

Why didn’t you ever stand up for yourself? Why didn’t you break up with him? Makoto couldn’t understand it.

Why do you say “I love you” to someone who clearly doesn’t love you back?

And yet, when Makoto spied in on you and your boyfriend whenever you were both at your house next door, you clung to him like your life depended on it, kissed him like you desperately needed it, and hugged him tightly as though you might break apart if you didn’t. And how did Kaito respond? He ignored you, didn’t reciprocate, and stood there stiff-armed as you wrapped your arms around him.

What did you see in him?

Hours later, that stupid blue car squealed to a stop outside your house once more. Makoto watched from between the curtains as you got out and waved goodbye to your boyfriend. The minute his car was out of sight, you buried your face in your hands and cried.

Makoto’s heart twisted and he found himself rushing out of his house and over to you. He knew it would look suspicious, but he could explain it away as him noticing you crying when he walked by the window, or something like that.

You wrapped your arms around him and sobbed into his chest, “What am I doing wrong? Why won’t he love me back? He’s my boyfriend but he acts like he can’t stand me!”

“You haven’t done anything wrong,” Makoto soothed you, running a hand through your hair (you had taken down your bun, probably self-conscious about the remark your boyfriend had made), “It’s his fault for acting so cold.”

He pulled back to look at your tear-streaked face and made the suggestion he’d been wanting to make since day one, “You should break up with him. You deserve someone who would treat you better.”

“I can’t!” you protested, “I love him!”

Makoto winced at the words, “It doesn’t seem like a healthy relationship. You’re putting so much more into it than he is.”

You bit your lip, considering his words, “I don’t know. I just… God, I don’t know.”

“I’ll be here for you, no matter what you choose,” Makoto said gently.

The truth was, though, that Makoto couldn’t take much more of this torture.If you chose Kaito, he may just have to kill him.

hiii kiwi!! always nice to hear from you!! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) and of course i don't mind!! i reblogged the ask game bc i wanted asks :3 i hope you're doing well too <3 anyways, without further ado:

1 - what are 3 things you’d say shaped you into who you are?

hmmm..... on a bit of a sad note, when i was a kid/young teen, i was always very much an outcast. people consistently found me weird and offputting, and i was very lonely. but i remained true to myself no matter what-- i knew it was pointless to try and "fit in" (because i'd always do it "wrong" anyways)-- so i have a very strong sense of who i am, and i am determined to love myself no matter what. it is also because of this that i'm so determined to be kind. i want to make others feel welcome and loved around me. i don't want to ever treat anyone the way i was treated. i know how much it hurts to be alone, so i want to do what i can to ensure that it won't happen to the people around me. so that's thing #1.

uhhh secondly! for a more lighthearted example, i'd say being in fandom! i've always kind of just kept to myself and have never been involved in major drama, so fandom has always been a favourable experience for me. it started when i was a young teen on pinterest just staring at (what i now know was stolen) fanart and obsessing over my faves, and now i'm on tumblr doing the exact same thing years later! but now i have online friends :) my interests have always brought me so much joy, and having a space to obsess over them as much as i want has just made me even more passionate i think. :3

thirdly, i'd say jazz music. my parents love jazz and play it very often at home. it's a genre i grew up listening to, so it just feels warm, familiar, and home-like. it also inspired me to learn the saxophone in junior and senior high school, and i loved playing jazz songs with others. jazz has been with me for so long :,)

17 - name 3 things that make you happy

oooh ok!!! 1. i love making art, so whenever i get a chance to sit down and make something it's just so nice :))) and i love admiring my creations afterward. 2. i love spending time with my friends! hanging out with them always makes me feel warm. 💖💖 3. my beloved matching bokuto + akaashi nendoroids!!!! i love them so much im so happy to have them. my beloved beloved sons. i love them so much im so lucky i found them at the mall :,)

28 - do you collect anything?

as you might have suspected from my above answer, i collect anime figures! my collection is still very small as i started fairly recently (and my parents are always on me about spending my money more wisely), but i love collecting them!! you can see what figures i have and which ones i want on my myfigurecollection.net profile! ^_^

the two top figures on my wishlist are the new miku x cinnamoroll nendoroid (aaaaaa) and. literally any kaito figure. they really haven't made many......... i need one though :( my little guy :(

i'd say loneliness of spring by inabakumori! the official english cover of it is really good as well. it captures a lot of things i've been feeling lately.......

O8 𝓑𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓟𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓬!

Synopsis: Sakusa Kiyoomi, a young ravishing man, an athlete for the Japanese volleyball team and comes from a very prominent family around Japan. He was perfect, looks, wealth and fame. But you can’t have everything in life, can you? Sakusa, the germophobic athlete, suddenly wakes up one day and sees a baby boy in a basket in front of his door step, in the basket was a letter, a letter from his past lover, saying that the child was his. The panic look on the spiker’s face was almost comical, knowing that his life would turn into a complete 360, that day was his first time ever to miss a volleyball practice and to call Komori to ask for a babysitter. You.

Sakusa woke up the next day feeling a little more refreshed but still confused as ever, he settled with the fact that you were only doing what he was paying you to do

The spiker got up and did his usual morning ritual, he then went out of his room to find breakfast has already been prepared on the table. Along with the sweet aroma of food was the voice of his babbling son. He was seated in your lap and you were answering Kaito as if he was talking to you, you were nodding at him and saying stuff like “is that so?”. Kaito would chuckle and babble even more which always lead you to laugh

Sakusa found it endearing, so endearing in fact that he had to stop in his tracks and admire the scene in front of him. He found himself thinking about what could’ve been if Nami was a decent enough mother who didn’t leave her child at the front door of her ex-fiancée. Then his poor son wouldn’t be motherless

his eyes landed on your face, your face always seemed so vibrant when you were interacting with Kaito. When you look at his son, there’s always some kind of affection in your eyes. He had never thought about it before, but what happens if you decide to leave and pursue your dreams? Who’s going to take care of his son?

The spiker was too deep into his thoughts that you had to call him twice to get his attention

“Sir, are you okay?” you asked worriedly 

he cleared his throat and nodded as he seated on one of the chairs of the dining table 

Kaito stares at his father for a good fifteen seconds before making grabby hands towards him, there was a soft smile that made its way towards the spiker’s face as he took his son from you 

you then got up to serve your boss coffee and placed it in front of him

in your almost five months of working in this house, you’ve learned a lot of things about your boss

he likes his coffee black but adds two cubes of sugar to it, he enjoys reading literary fiction, he showers for exactly 15 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening after practice, he secretly enjoys eating sweets, he is very sensitive towards scents, and that he is a good father.

He would go home tired from practice yet he would still go to Kaito’s room and watch him sleep for a few minutes, he would bring random things he buys for Kaito he would always say “thought he might like it” with a small proud smile on his face

You always thought your boss would not be the type to make bad decisions like overdrinking and getting so drunk that he couldn’t bring his home

but the man truly is full of surprises because right now you are staring at a drunk Sakusa Kiyoomi being held up by two of his team members you recognized as Bokuto Koutaro and Hinata Shouyo... in the middle of the night 

“I errr--- who are you?” the orange hair man asks you

“Oh I’m y/n l/n, I’m sir Kiyoomi’s househelper” you bowed politely 

“didn’t know Sakusa-san had a housekeeper” Hinata mumbles but then smiled brightly at you 

“Well it seems like your boss had too much to drink,” he says scratching the back of his neck

“y/n-san we would like y=to ask you more questions but we have another-”

“ooohh is that omi-omi’s wifeeee?” Bokuto was cut off by another man who seemed to have had too much to drink as well, that man was Miya Atsumu 

the two men immediately handed you Sakusa and mumbled a small apology before dragging Atsumu away 

you slowly guided your boss inside the house and sat him on the couch

“Sir? can you hear me?” you asked 

you got a mere nod, you went to the kitchen to get your boss some ice-cold water and stirred in a generous amount of sugar to avoid a terrible hangover the next day 

you went to your boss who was leaning on the headboard of the couch, you slowly patted his shoulder

“sir, here’s a glass of cold water with sugar so you won’t have a hangover tomorrow” you explained to him

he took it from you and drank it one shot

yeah that was not a good idea

seconds later his face scrunched up and he was holding his head, he was having a brain freeze 

which immediately also made you panic, you held his head and kept asking if he was okay 

he suddenly stopped and looked up at you, you haven’t seen him this close, but you always knew your boss was attractive he was even cuter now with his flushed face and half-lidded eyes, he almost looked like a kid 

you let out a small chuckle at the antics of your drunk boss

and in just a flash you felt your hand get pulled, a hand on the back of your neck, and a pair of soft lips against yours.

I wrote this fic last year for Kageyama on an old deleted ao3 acc but i already have different plans for Kageyama's part in this series

so our precious owl boi bokuto is the next best thing, right?

You sighed, exiting your car. Today was a horrible day at work, boss making you work unexpected overtime.

This also meant you had to leave the kids to your husband, Bokuto. He's well-meaning and loves the kids to death but living with him is like having three children sometimes.

So you were a bit worried to come home to a burning house with Bokuto freaking out outside while the kids are crying their eyes out.

The house looks normal, atleast on the outside, which relieves you.

You lock your car and unlock the door, entering the house.

The house is dark, so you turn on the hallway lights and then enter the living room.

To find the floor all muddy.

That isn't even the best part, since the next thing you see is Bokuto curled up on the couch with the kids in his arms, all of them asleep.

The kids were clean but the same could not be said for Bokuto himself. He was all muddy and even had leaves in his hair.

You were too intrigued to even be angry and you figured that you should carry the kids to bed before doing anything else.

You gently took your daughter Sumiko out of Bokuto's arms and carried her upstairs into her room.

She stirred a little, making you worry you woke her up but soon her gentle breaths resumed. You kissed her on the forehead, silently wishing her a good night before going back downstairs to retrieve her twin brother, Kaito.

You took him gently out of Bokuto's arms too and carried him to his room. You gently covered him in blankets, petting his head and kissing him on his forehead as well.

Now you should probably tend to Bokuto since leaving him to sleep all dirty on the couch is unnaceptable.

You grabbed some extra blankets from your room to cover Bokuto with and some wet wipes from the bathroom to clean off whatever you can.

Bokuto was still sleeping tight, and you smiled at his sleeping face before going in with the wet wipes and gently cleaning off the dirt on his skin.

His face scrunched up in an adorable way when you swiped the cold wipe against it, making you giggle a little bit.

After disposing of the muddy wipes and taking out the leaves in his hair you covered him in blankets and gently kissed him too. Equality matters, after all.

You were about to turn around and get stuff to clean up the mud everywhere when a hand grabbed your wrist and pulled you back down on the couch.

You found yourself in Bokuto's embrace. You tried wiggling out of it, only to be squeezed tighter.

"Don't go..." Bokuto mumbled, furrowing his brows.

"I'm still wearing work clothes. I have to go change, not to mention clean up this-"

"Don't leave.... Missed you... Had a bad day." he whispered, leaning his head onto your shoulder.

"Okay, okay, you little baby..." you sounded annoyed, but how could you be, really?

You can always interrogate him tommorow.
