The Creepy Urban Legend of the Black Eyed Kids
A collection of strange stories about black eyed kids has been bouncing around. These stories have a single originating point, a creepy experience reported by journalist Brian Bethel on January 16, 1998. Brian claims he was approached in his car by two children whose eyes were all black, meaning there was no white in their corneas. These children insisted Brian let them into his parked car, claiming they needed a ride to a telephone.
Brian claims he was overcome with a feeling of sheer panic, as though he were being hunted by a sinister predator. The more fearful he became the more insistent the kids became that he let them them in.
This story has since multiplied, reported by dozens of others: a woman who lives alone, who claims two kids knocked on her door at 11 PM demanding she let them in to use her restroom; a soldier alone in a Marines barracks, who found his courage under fire when two black eyed children knocked at his door in the middle of the night; a lone camper, who claims he spent all night huddled in his tent terrified after two black eyed children randomly appeared in the woods and insisted he let them inside his tent.
The similarities in all the stories are as follows:
~It’s always two kids at night. ~They always have completely jet black eyes. ~The kids seem unnatural and almost alien in disposition. ~The kids repeatedly ask to be let inside, growing more and more hostile throughout the encounter.
The way we see it, there are three over-arching explanations for this phenomenon: paranormal, hoax, and cult.
The paranormal explanation is the one most often cited. Due to the lack of physical evidence, few paranormal researchers have claimed to believe this story 100%. However, there are many who think the black eyed kid legend has eerie similarities with a variety of traditional paranormal classifications.
In 2015 it became national news when a group of paranormal investigators spotted and caught on camera an alleged black-eyed girl in a field near the area. While not much is known about who or what these children are and where they come from, what is known for certain is that witnesses who report encounters, often feel that the children were somehow supernatural and extremely dangerous though they could not explain why.
It is unspecified what happens should you comply with their demands as no reports of the black eyed children have included that happening, possibly indicating the death of those that comply.

The Men in Black are an alleged faction of the government who many believe are involved in silencing UFO witnesses and doing coverups on UFO and extraterrestrial sightings. The first sightings of the Men in Black took place in the 1950′s where their description was still the same as it is today; tall men who were typically bald and in their mid to late 30′s-40′s wearing black suits, white shirts, black ties, and black bowler hats. Witnesses who have encountered the Men in Black say are very hostile and intimidating; they threaten or imply threats of harm to the UFO witness or their family and friends if they don’t remain silent, destroy any evidence they had, or simply to stop researching the matter all together. Usually visits from the Men in Black are a one time thing however sometimes people are visited by them more than once. Some people believe that they are a faction of the FBI or CIA or another government organization while some believe they are extraterrestrials or are supernatural and paranormal in nature themselves. People have also made connections between them and the Black eyed Children saying they feel a feeling of dread when visited by the Men in Black or see them with the Black eyed Children themselves. Some people just believe that the Men in Black are a myth but we may never know the true identities of these mysterious and iconic figures.

So....
Considering that the black eyed children are a type of cryptid......
Tumblr media
Basically for a scene in "cryptopolis ".....
Tl;Dr, a couple of Garrett's neighbors scare Trevor on complete accident.
a couple of Garret(the spring heeled jack character)'s neighbors come over unexpectedly, they see Trevor (the paranormal investigator) asleep on the couch, and the youngest of the 2(a 6 year old named Penny) decides to try and wake up Trevor, by poking trevor's face with one of her(penny's) fingers (the pointer to be specific) which is able to wake Trevor up, of course since Penny and her sister Wendy are of course "black eyes children " it sure as hell startles Trevor awake. Causing him to scream in fear, which, as a result, scares the 2 kids on total accident, leading to Garret to walk into the room wondering Wtf happened, and slightly scolds the kids for scaring Trevor on accident, before ushering the 2 kids back to their parents.

Also, color wise, here are some picrews done of Penny and Wendy.

Have you ever heard the urban legend of black-eyed kids?
Yup. I think it's the sort of thing you could expect out of a cultural environment where notions of demonic or demonically-possessed children had entered the public consciousness through films like The Omen and The Exorcist.

Cryptober Day 29: Black Eyed Children.
Tumblr media
I've found this one so fascinating for quite some time now, I'm so happy to be discussing it. Black Eyed Children are a phenomena involving eerie kids with ghostly pale white skin and pitch black eyes, who approach potential victims for seemingly harmless favors. These usually involve asking the person if they can come into their house or car. Because they have to be invited inside, some have speculated that the Black Eyed Kids may be vampires. Some have also said that the Black Eyed Children are just regular children who have been demonically possessed, or human/alien hybrids.
What ever the case may be, people who claim to have been in the presence of Black Eyed Children often describe feeling an intense amount of fear and dread. They've even claimed to be in an almost hypnotic state when looking into their pitch-black eyes. These children are usually between the ages of 6 and 16.
The supposed origin of this legend are 1998 postings written in a ghost-related mailing list by Texas reporter Brian Bethel about alleged encounters with "black eyed kids" in Abilene, Texas and Portland, Oregon. Coined by many to be classic examples of Creepypasta, Bethel's stories gained such popularity that he published an FAQ "just to keep up with the demand for more info about the new urban legend." In 2012, Brian Bethel told his story on the reality television series Monsters and Mysteries in America. He wrote a follow up article for the Abilene Reporter News, describing his experience with the infamous black-eyed kids. The latest sighting was supposedly in Rome, Ohio in 2019.
The most obvious explanation for cases of Black Eyed Children would be pranksters just wearing contact lenses. Although it could also be children with aniridia, an eye disorder in which a person is born without part or all of the iris. That however doesn't explain why in most black eyed children cases the eyes of the children, "whites" and all, are totally black.
