Trufact: Names in American television scripts are vetted from first and last names of real people who have been dead for a prescribed period (I think a century, but don't quote me). This is to keep people with the same names as characters from suing for being depicted as, y'know, a high school chemistry teacher who becomes a meth baron. "Yeah, no, we got a precedent here of like 20,000 dead Walters and a ton of people named White." Some script drafts will have character names underlined or asterisked as a reminder to have Legal clear them. I was a regular character on The Doctors back in the day.
