One reason why I love the show Atlanta is because they don't fuck around. That episode "Trini 2 de bone" where the White parents realized their reliance on the Black nanny caused confusion at the school and the Black nanny was the White son's parent on picture day. Or "The Big Payback" which is set in a sort of realistic scenerio of White people having to legally pay financial reparations if their ancestors were masters and slaves

A Detailed Guide to Relaxation From Minnirollz!!💌

Bubble Baths!: I honest to God love bubble baths! it really relaxes my muscles and soothes me to the point of no return. I make sure that the water is warm and not super hot so I’m not burning my skin off and add my favorite bubble bath soap! I always have soft music playing on low volume for a little background noise. I sometimes light a softly scented candle and really just let all my worries wash away in the tub.

Diary Entries!: I have such a hectic life sometimes and it really feels like everything is all over the place, so just letting everything out on paper really puts me at ease and calms me down. I sometimes feel uncomfortable talking peoples ear off with my problems so writing everything out in my diary feels so much better.

Flicking the bean 🫶🏽: Listen masturbation is a totally normal part of day to day life and I definitely enjoy it so much! What U Watchin #4: Abbott Elementary

Throughout the past 13 weeks on Tuesdays, ABC has had Abbott Elementary running at 9pm and on the top of my Twitter feed. This show has been enjoyable from beginning to end. There are a lot of reasons why the show is successful, including the characters, storylines, and comedic relief.

Abbott Elementary begins as a mockumentary-style comedy which follows a group of passionate teachers and their tone deaf principal as they try to help their students succeed as well as confront real life issues they have dealt with as children that they still face as adults. In the beginning, there was and underlying theme of young teachers vs. old teachers and their differing views on how to make sure their kids are successful with the little resources they have due the school’s underfunding and irresponsibility of the principal of the school.

They've done an amazing job of highlighting the different kinds of teachers we may encounter in underfunded schools, for example, there's Janine, a young teacher who would do anything to see her students succeed, but also struggled with wanting people's approval. A predominantly black school is home to Jacob, a white teacher who struggles to relate to his students. And Barbra's been a teacher for 20+ years, so she's not used to trying new approaches. In spite of the fact that we are introduced to the characters' flaws, they don't make an episode about their issues that is long and drawn out; it's lighthearted, and also ties back into them wanting to do better for their students. For example, the main character in the series, Janine has abandonment issues due to her mother's lack of interest in her or her life. She is an overachiever and a perfectionist and can come off as annoying to her co-workers, but I think the bigger picture is her desire for approval from her mother. Barbra is like a mother to Janine, and though she does find Janine annoying at times, she has always rooted for her and supported her efforts to better her students and admires her.

I must admit that Ava steals the show from everyone else. By blackmailing the superintendent, Ava became the principal of Abbott elementary. Although I initially thought that Ava would be a villain that everyone loved, the show gradually revealed her true motivations as principal. It was Ava's charisma and charm that made viewers want to see her win, even though she did not have as many qualifications as she needed. Even though Ava seems careless, she has the best of intentions; for example, when Ava and Janine both led the step team and Ava needed to step back to deal with family issues, most people assumed that Ava was being irresponsible, but it was actually her grandmother who needed her care. Seeing that made me realize Ava wasn't as bad as she seemed as a character, and she had more depth than just being funny.

We've been lacking authentic shows on our screens for quite a while, and Abbott Elementary fills that gap. It is the first show I have seen in a while that reflects the reality of life and is funny without using corny gimmicks to get cheap laughs. A great show, with great characters and a well-written plot, has earned praise and has people wanting more. This is the lighthearted comedy that we’ve been lacking for a while and it’s amazing to see this genre make a comeback to our screens.

Abbott Elementary airs on Tuesdays and 9 pm EST and is available for streaming on Hulu.

After spending a total of five days with him, it was finally time to make your departure. Of course you enjoyed the little time you spent together.

Everytime you tried to find appropriate words to comfort him, he would hold you tighter in the embrace as if you would disappear within a second. Your heart ached with every small whimper and sigh he would let out. Every fiber of your being was screaming at you to stay. To not break his heart. After sitting in silence for a while he finally gained the strength to look into your eyes. And the sight almost broke you. His eyes were swollen and red from shedding tears. It was truly rare to see him this vulnerable, which makes this even more heartbreaking.

You tried your best trying to soothe him with your words. You promised the stars above that you will come back. That you will make it up to him. But he knew you could come back. It's the departing that had him so lost. How would he wake up in the morning knowing that he won't see you? How would he complete his task knowing that you are miles away from him? All alone and not being cradled in his arms. That was the devastating part to him.

You wiped away his tears to provide some sense of comfort. He finally broke the silence after your actions

"I don't want to leave you. I wish to stay by your side forever."

It took every once of your willpower to not brake down in front of him. You wanted to stay. You hoped for the same but reality had different plans.
