i wanna succumb to the fate of a perished arisen so when you first enter the garden of ignominy you hear my voice but arent quite sure it was mine and there in the precipice of the bloodless stockade where your third pawn sent high gicel rippling through my revenant body you find left behind in my raiments an item you gave me, now sullied and mottled. you trade it and five of its kin to a bandit who in turn fastens a new fortitude to your cape. you dont use it to fight the demon at the bottom of it all but you keep the mantle with your pawn because it reminds you of the cliffs of southron and the strongwarish you munched on after barely surviving the walk down there.

what do you think of my new thingy. his working name is ascalon after the dd1 holy aspect sword but also irl it was the sword used by st. george (like grigori haha) to kill the dragon and if this is a pawn you could also say it's a Sword or weapon of some sort utilized to kill a dragon. but now that makes me want to work on my grigori arisen AU and name HIS pawn ascalon. so it could actually be wielded by st. george. so i'll probably change his name actually.... he's kind of a turd. he's gotten some bestowal of spirit and also was made in the image of a guy who is a little off the shits anyway so he's got a Very strong personality.... he can't see well out of the eye with the scar but he can still see a bit. a fighter who takes pride in his fancy moves. sarcastic and a bit sadistic. annoying. likes luxury and power. tenanye has probably kicked him in the nuts before but this is why she's the only one who can handle him.... he probably reminds her of julien which does annoy her but she's gotten a much thicker skin and unfortunately finds herself still gravitating towards this type of person LOL. but he likes it when she gets mean and u know. she still has a lot of frustration with julien to take out so they're like symbiotic.

HEY two of my fav games are in the Capcom sale and you should really consider checking them out whilst you can! I recommend them both for anyone who loves games with strong fantasy themes and give you a unique gaming experience!
Dragon's Dogma is an action adventure where your heart is stolen by a dragon and you want to get it back. You start with 3 classes but then you can play as a mix of both! My personal fav is the magic archer who also wields knives. AND your first playthrough will affect your second in some way ;>
Wings of Ruin is a catch-em-all game with a very sweet and at times, very emotional story. When it finally released, I played it for 12 hours straight. I may have felt like death, but it was worth every second. The world is so lovely and vibrant and the characters are so colourful and lovely to look at! Major comfort game for me.

So, Lulu (my main arisen from Dragon’s Dogma) is definitely a coward and fled to Bitterblack isle to not face the dragon in her world. Lol. Ari is her pack mule and useless pawn.
I definitely see Dragon’s Dogma 2 as a ‘redemption arc’ for her.
At least in my canon, they’ll be happy. Nice little cottage in the woods. No one to disturb them.

Disappointed that DD2 has no canonical male romance options? HELP FIX IT!
In Dragon's Dogma 2 you can choose almost any NPC to be your beloved/romance option, like in the first game. You can literally pick anyone, including random road guards, to shower gifts upon and raise their affinity.
However. Only two NPCs are canonical romances.
Ulrika and Wilhelmina, both human women, have unique romance quests and scenes that conclude intimately (without any platonic option). Those are the only NPCs in the entire game that have them.
No hate on the girls, they're among my arisen's best buds, but having them be the only two with fully fledged romance arcs in the entire game is a bit absurd.
Pre-release marketing highlighted Ulra, Wil, as well as Guard-Captain Brant, Prince Sven (who tbf seems pretty young), elven siblings Glyndwr and Doirieann, and Empress Nadinia of Battahl and her Guard-captain Menella (who I assumed were a couple). Any of those characters should also have had unique scenes like Wil and Ulra, but they don't. That effectively makes Ulra/Wil the canonical options.
None of the npcs care about the arisen's gender. The main issue is that there are no male options with equivalent romance quest. There's nothing but crumbs for the guy enjoyers, which is somehow a step back from the first game where there was at least Julian.
There are three dudes who would have been strong candidates according to their plot importance:
Brant is the arisen's first and most important ally in Vernworth,
Sven could have been DD2's Aelinore (young noble in need of help) and could've caused loads of plot drama,
and Glyndwr is your introduction to the elf culture through his curiosity.
Do they get unique quests beyond their initial ones? Nope.
Anyway, we can potentially influence some getting added officially instead of as mods:
Capcom has released a player feedback survey.
The survey has questions on what you like, dislike, and would like to see in future content updates. It runs until April 21 and may well influence the future additions to the game.
I laid it on thick about them adding more quests and romance quests, and also about a Bitterblack Isle-type expansion. The more people that bring it up these issues the better.
Go forth, arisen <3
