what is with all the cringe tord/matt hate lately? so many OOC fanfics of Tord being a terrible partner to Matt or vice versa and ofc they're tagged with the ship not even mentioning it being toxic bc yep fans of a ship 100% wanna read a fanfic inadvertedly shitting on it(sarcasm)

like I've written a fanfic where a ship was portrayed as abusive in the story but I TAGGED IT AS ABUSIVE and also specifically in a way where I KNEW it wouldn't show up in tags of the ship. and when I did that, it wasn't even a ship I dislike, but just thought a plot with that implication could be explored. whereas, I feel like most of these people writing hatey tord/matt fics are tom/matt and tord/edd shippers who hate tord/matt, or are using it as a stock bad ship for their crappy fic cuz it's the less popular and more flanderized ship of the main 4 ships so they don't care for it. they don't even do a good job of writing tord in these fics, like 9/10 he is basically a "i'm a traumatized teenager projecting my abuser's actions onto a fictional character" OC rather than actually himself and it gets on my nerves more than it prolly should.

Stop using the term crackship for an insult.

I dislike ppl who use the term crackship to dislike a ship of someone else. Just because you dont like a ship in the fandom, doesnt mean you start throwing out that its a crackship that ppl are delusional for shipping it, and they shouldnt bother shipping it. Ppl are using the term too loosely in some fandoms, and well at least with me, i consider crackships like something weird more than anything than two characters that hardly interacted or ppl claim they have no chemistry. I mean i dont mind the term itself, ppl just think its funny to insult ships with it that dont fit it that well imo, and people are always allowed to ship, regardless of canon or not.
