March 31, 1993 - An excerpt from a letter Demri wrote her mother Kathleen.

“Mom,

Fab made this stationery out of one of my pictures. I am sure you just love the fact that my boobs show (or what there is of em).

Next week I want to come see the boys. We’re working on the car now so being un-mobile really sucks.

There’s a lot I want to talk to you about. I have been so busy you wouldn’t even believe it. I really miss you.”

Demri had the intention of using these photos for her acting portfolio.

💬 Amber Ferrano: “Demri was interested in a lot of things. Being in the hospital a lot she liked to read and watch a channel called AMC that was black and white movies from 40’s to 60’s. Her dream job was to be a soap opera actress and to play twins (evil and good) to be able to show her range...

I think she was one of the ones wanting to get her GED. I had a library card and she was there. She loved the idea of getting a degree. Her dream job was to be an actress or continue modeling as an adult woman...

Demri did not hold grudges ‘cause she got that humans aren’t perfect. Demri had a huge heart, a huge conscience and a soul. If she hurt you in any way, I promise you, she did feel bad and was thinking of a way to make it up to you. She knew she wasn’t perfect. She thought once she made it big as an actress she would make everything right. She would have done anything for a friend or a family member or a stranger even if it was bad for her."

I hate that whenever I express interest in acting, people always tell me to go to Tyler Perry. I don't want to be in some modern-day minstrel, I'm more interested in being in indie & horror films. besides, I don't have the "look" for his content, he'd probably cast me as criminal or female prisoner in his slop.

Demri's "book"

Ana from the much missed "Memories of Demri" instagram/tumblr accounts collected all the different memories that people who met her, shared...

I came up with the idea of sorting them not only by subject, but also a bit of a chronological display...

And then she add some more info,photos and created a very beautiful design.

This is, for now, what looks to be like a book about Demri's life and legacy. It's work on construction and it's done with much love and respect.

Here you can see two beautiful photos of Lucita Gracia Vidal, one of María's younger sisters. The photographer is not listed in the editorial website.

The first photo was sent to me by @74paris and it's a copy of one of the photos Lucita sent to her cousin Armando Gracia Sanfiel.

María trusted Lucita in taking care of her babygirl Tina when she was away working as she thought Lucita was the sweetest of the all sisters.

I hope one day we can get more details of this photoshot, who knows if there are more photos around!!

Oh yes!!!! I think model and actress Cara Delevingne would be a great Demri if a movie about her or about AIC/grunge/1990s Seattle was ever made! Or about 1990s artists, fashion, style, poets...

As Demri, she pulls out funny faces:

With dark hair she could be a very believable Demri, I think

Plus, if Demri was her age today, I think she might be as successful as Cara (with Instagram, the internet and so). I could picture her easily playing the role of pixie faerie Vignette Stonemoss on Carnival Row

Or presenting/hosting her own TV series "Planet Sex" as Cara does!

Plus Cara is a model and an actress, Demri was a model and an aspiring actress, both are lgtbi so I think Cara would find very interesting to play a role like Demri's (with honor and respect). She's slim like Dem but a bit taller.

As for Eva Green, this Alison Dyer photo of Demri reminds me of beautiful Eva, but just this one:

Eva is also an actress and model, a bit shorter than Cara but still taller than Demri.

Demri would have enjoyed playing the role of tortured medium Vanessa Yves in Penny Dreadful if she was alive...
