helloooooooo anon! let me tell you about some of the projects I have that feature Remadora. I have very few Remadora-only longfics on the back burner. Most of my longfics are Remadora + another couple or two. Let me talk about those first and then I'll get to the Tonks amnesia fic. Lots more under the cut.

Most likely to be posted first: longfic, slow burn Tedromeda & Remadora. Slow burn Tedromeda heavy in the first half, slower burn Remadora heavy in the second half.

Most likely to be posted second: longfic, time travel Remadora & Blackbolt. Tonks and Kingsley go back to the late 70s and hijinks ensue.

Most likely to be posted third: longfic, time travel Tedoire & Remadora. Teddy, Victoire, Albus, and Scorpius go back in time to the early 90s and grapple with the past. Teddy accidentally plays wingman for his father.

Those projects each have about 20k words written, so that's why they're likelier to be posted first. Now let's get to more Remadora-centric fics that I don't have a schedule for yet because I've still got to do a LOT of planning, plot-wise.

Tonks amnesia fic: I've got the beginning done but I'm not sure where to go with it just yet.

Remadora meets earlier: I had a thought to introduce Tonks to Remus when he's a professor in PoA, but it's just a thought for now

Finally, the projects that are on hold that I wish I had the mental energy to finish:

Cariad. I am seriously considering wrapping it up with a couple more chapters and calling it done. There was one more subplot I was thinking of putting in, but I need to be realistic with my time.

A Changing Pack. The reason I'm struggling with it is that I've got Remadora in a pretty good place and now it's time to shift focus to Harry and Hinny, and I struggle big time with writing Harry.

In addition to these longfics, I've got a lot of ideas for microfics and one-shots. These are at the very bottom of my priorities, just because I usually write them in one sitting. Inspiration strikes, I get my computer, and type until I'm done.

So anon, I hope this mostly answers your question. I DO have Remadora projects - all my longfics have Remadora in them - but purely Remadora-centric pieces are second on my list.

2023 Writing Goals

I started off 2022 with two works to my name on AO3, and now I have eight. This year, I’m not as interested in growing the number of works as I am in completing those works. In no particular order:

Finish “ACOFAE” ft. Feycien

My very first fanfic. As of this writing, I am 37 chapters in, and I’d like to finish it by the end of the year. I was averaging about a chapter a week, then got burned out and went to the hospital for pneumonia. (Correlation, not causation.) Anyway, back in 2021, I thought I could write a quick fic in 20 chapters, then thought surely 40 would do it. Welp. Here’s hoping it doesn’t take more than 60!

Finish “A Garden of Thorns” ft. Brilin

I wrote one chapter in a day based on an intriguing prompt, then basically dropped it because I didn’t know how to make it work with an original Beauty and the Beast story I had started writing a couple years ago. I have more experience now, though, and I think I can make it work. 

Finish an as-yet-unpublished fic “Worth Fighting For” ft. Elucien

I have really enjoyed writing Elucien this winter, and I promised a friend I would write an ACOWAR AU in which Lucien goes after Elain when she gets taken by the Cauldron. So that I don’t leave people hanging like I have so many times, I’m writing it before publishing it, and then it will be released on a regular schedule.

Expand on and finish “I Will See You Again” ft. Feylin

I had so many requests to expand on that one-shot, when I thought it was just that: a one-shot. But so many people want to see my unhinged version of Amarantha after Feyre actually breaks the original spell. Which leads me to...

Write an Amarantha backstory and/or a Tamlin backstory

Why did Amarantha become so obsessive over Tamlin? I have some ideas I want to explore, but time constraints have been a factor. I’d like to explore that idea this year. :)

I’m working on some original fiction that I’d like to self-publish in addition to working on fanfiction, but I don’t know if I’ll be promoting it here or not. It’s on the lighter, romantic, fairy tale side of fantasy instead of the darker stuff that attracted me to ACOTAR. I know ACOTAR doesn’t get that dark, but considering that characters bleed on the page, I’m counting it. If anyone is interested in learning more about my fairy tale retellings, feel free to visit my inbox. :) 

I have more ideas I’d like to visit eventually, but these are the big ones for this year. Thanks @isterofimias for the inspiration to write them down!

7. Right And Wrong (Outlaw gets 2 pistols that are melded with some of the consciousnesses of an 'angel' and a 'devil' who need her for something)

8. Death, On Stage! (3 teenage boys break into an abandoned haunted theater on a threeway dare. Meet dead ghost actress who tells her story.)

9. All For Sammy Winston/Him/I'm Not Crazy (Murderer who kills, one time being part of the focus of the story, friend who threatened/joked about r*ping his best friend)

10. Mazes (11 teenagers go through a series of challenges to make money for their section, themselves, etc. Tricked by the runners of the challenged to go into more dangerous situations than others.)

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.

you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.

you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:

how long have you been doing this now? mastering the art of your body and mind like you're piloting a puppet. has it worked? what do you mean that all you feel is... just exhausted. pick yourself up, the tightrope has no net. after all, you're cheating, somehow, but nobody seems to know you actually flunked the test. it's working!

Are you gonna post any new remadora projects in the very near future? like maybe a week or so? Absolutely no pressure btw! You can take as much time as you need, (not that you need any justification for what time u’ll finish since its your work anyway) but i just absolutely adore your work and remadora and when u mix your work + remadora it is absolute perfection so i was just wondering if u have any works that would be published soon:)) again no pressure and i love ur work!!

I'm going to finish Moonlit Marriage first, Cariad second, and then start on new projects. A Changing Pack is my horcrux. I will get to it when I get to it.

As far as new Remadora projects, which I have beginnings of:

A Remadora and Blackbolt time travel fic

A Tedoire time travel fic (with background Remadora)

A Remadora amnesia fic (from Tonks's POV)

I would say that the Remadora/Blackbolt one is likeliest to come next. No promises though!

What Am I Writing These Days? #3

It's been waaaay too long since I last did one of these. To be fair, I spent most of this year writing one story in particular(which you find [url=https://archiveofourown.org/works/48347773]here[/url]) so there haven't been a lot of new ideas coming in.

I have been very slowly adding on to Storm Kids; it's not as interesting as it was four years ago when I started it! I updated with a new chapter on AO3 recently though, and I know where I'm going with it. I'll finish! I will!

Updates are also incoming for Moon Age, I swear, but I don't think I can muster a lot of energy for DBZ after I spent so many months writing for the Big Bang. It's still an AU I love a lot.

I've been writing a lot of Kamen Rider fic, but basically none of it is presentable... I'm deeply grateful to everyone who reads and leaves kudos on my Goto/Eiji fic, y'all make me feel more confident! At the moment I'm doing pre-work for some post-canon OOO fic, in the form of simple character interactions. I'm determined to write something about Izumi Shingo, but his character moments are countable on one hand so I'm kinda winging it(pun intended). My main goals writing OOO fic is to explore Eiji living without Ankh, as I've noticed a lack of that in fandom. I want the OOO family to grieve but also live, and to show how Ankh touched all of their lives.

I've been writing self-indulgent Zero-One fic in the form of FuwaHiden domestic fluff. Whenever I write something and it's not presentable, I just tell myself it's training. I think my feelings about Hibiki are gonna force me to write post-canon fic for that as well(whyyy is everything going so wrooong??).

I've been asked(By Anthony DP Mann) to write something about Takeshi Hongo. I have a few ideas bouncing around in my head now that I've seen Shin Kamen Rider and more episodes of the old show(thank you Keelin for the livestream back in May). At the moment I have: A dialogue prompt that seems to only lead to smut("Can you feel this?") and a couple of ideas stemming from fanart I saw(70s Riders meet their Shin counterparts and some bug love bites). I've also been pitched a western-esque story about an aging Hongo looking for a meaningful end, but I'd rather hand that off to someone who knows him better. In general, I just don't think I know Mr Hongo well enough to write him yet.

Something that's going well(almost too well) is my Stray Kids Power Rangers AU. It's made for a surprisingly fun sandbox to try a lot of my ideas, but it's also a little hard to focus. I've started sharing the story with some friends via email, as I don't intend to put it up on A03 until I finish Storm Kids. Another unintended consequence of creating a tokusatsu-verse is that I'm now determined to make Monsta X into Kamen Riders. For both of those I still have a lot of development work to do(designing costumes and weapons, creating catchphrases, poses and special moves, etc.) but like. It's so fun.
