Aight so I just saw someone in a TikTok comment call Aryan Mexican, seemingly in a mocking tone

While it's obviously unnaceptable the way people have been treating Leah as Annabeth, we also need to address the way some people have been treating Aryan. It's not okay in any way, shape or form to make fun of or harrass either of these two simply for their race. While their are things I don't agree with Rick upon, the casting of the actors in the PJO show is something I am totally on board with and I'm sick and tired of people talking shit about the actors, especially the POC ones, on their capability and their appearances.

Everytime i see walker scobell or leah sava jeffries or aryan simhadri say something along the lines of „playing this character is a great responsibility and i don‘t wanna let the fans down“ i wanna make them understand that it‘s not their responsibility or at least not only theirs to carry - this show is carried by producers, directors, writers, editors, casting directors, special effect departments, and sooo many other adult people that made decisions about how this show will be. If there were any reason why fans should not like this show (and as things are looking right now, i highly suspect that most will absolutely love it), then that critique should go to these adult people who have made these decisions, not the actors who took on that role.

a psa

ive been wanting to say this since the cast was announced. these pjo kids do NOT deserve the treatment the stranger things kids got. i grew up with the stranger things kids, they are my age. i experienced first hand the shipping of millie/ finn, noah/ finn etc, the blatant misogyny towards millie and the BULLYING that she, and others but it was heavy on her, had to face. i have seen how it affected their friendships and relationships with each other. not to mention the over-sexualisation of finn when he was 14, FOURTEEN!

walker, leah and aryan are still CHILDREN!! edits from other kids their age? sure go for it. but i don't want to see grown ass adults making any sort of negative comment about their personalities, their looks and i especially do not want to see shipping! these are REAL PEOPLE. i saw one thing on instagram where someone was like "oh walker looks 19 hehe" no. no he doesn't. im 19. he looks his age. he looks like if i saw him at school i would roll my eyes at the annoying year 9. i find it weird people saying charlie, also 19, is hot bc he was probs about 17/18 when filming.

i couldn't defend the stranger things kids to the full extent because i was blinded by my childish/ teenage admiration for them. but i will go to hell and back to ensure that these kids don't face the same treatment. i love and appreciate these actors, in a way that they are bringing a beloved story to life and are doing so with care and consideration. but i don't comment on their posts. i like them yes. but i remember how odd it felt when i would see grown ass people commenting on finn's or sadie's accounts.

please please remember that they are still growing and learning, they're not fully developed. they will be easily swayed and maybe even enjoy the attention because they don't realise how damaging it can be.

young actors deserve privacy. young actors deserve respect.

nico di angelo is an icon. he is the moment. he is everything. “with great power comes great need to take a nap.” ICONIC I TELL YOU. AND I HAVE ALSO NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ELSE TRUE-ER. also can we talk about how strong this kid is. bro entered and made it out of tartarus twice. as a matter of fact he went there alone and faced a primordial goddess who scared zeus the god of all gods twice. lets be honest, nyx's phrasing in tsats was kinda offsetting and weird. “our children.” and he survived in a minuscule glass jar with simply pomegranate seeds for almost a week? he transported the athena parthenos across the globe with two other people? that is strength at its finest.

the kid they're (probably) going to cast as nico is most definitely an incredible actor. he's going to have to depict the change to a sad little Italian boy from a kid who loved his sister (rip biana u are missed) and was obsessed with mythomagic cards.

I mean, I know Athena is the goddess of wisdom and strategy, but she is really taking home the prize for being the stupidest on the pjo tv show.

Like, there's these three kids who are the only remaining hope of stopping like, World War III or something, but no....she'll allow a fire-breathing, demigod eating monster to enter HER shrine, made by one of HER children FOR HER to finish those three off, just because her pride has been hurt.

How puny is her pride that it is being wounded by three kids, yes kids, who are midgets(literally) in comparison to her power?

Also, she's really taking home the mother of the year award...so, definitely an overachiever there.
