More goofy shit that's come from Arix getting the attention of an affectionate eladrin is that her sometimes smooching his forehead and cuddling him, and then the Traveler hanging around and becoming buddies with him, ended with Arix getting the fey-touched feat, which we had initially joked about but didn't realize J would make canon.

Kobold fey-ified through the power of an elf's forehead kisses and her uncle's teasing and bro time.

this new set of neopronouns even has a specific pronoun to replace "___ are/is" contractions like "they're" or "she's" because I want to make fake linguistics nerds who are scared of neopronouns cry from horror

so I'm writing it out like this:

Example for use:

About and Fun Tidbits:

Robert arrived in Toril during the Spellplague in a portal incident. He kept odd jobs here and there, merely existing among the Solids as he explored their world. He's found that he's quite fond of the gnomes.

When he “sleeps,” he kind of oozes out of his armor...and he has a bubbly snore.

Joke HC that there are dozens and dozens of oozes and plasmoids out there that would be considered his "children." Not canon, just for lols.

Can't get drunk, unfortunately. Fortunately, he can drink people under the table as a bet and they don't know he's an ooze...easy money.

Met Herself on the road. She didn't give him the option. She said, "I have a job for you," and that was that. No chance to protest it, no way of getting out of it; you don't tell Electra no.

I don’t have a photo reference for him, but he’s a blue-green color and wears full armor to hide the fact that he’s a plasmoid. He doesn’t want anyone but Herself knowing. When not in armor, he’s lounging on a couch somewhere as a grumpy puddle.

Aix froze in place, stuck crouching at an awkward angle, a twig from the nearby sweetgum sapling poking it in the side of the head.

There was a brown thrasher digging through the leaves just ten feet away from where aix was sitting. Aed been crouching to take pictures of the partridgeberries almost under aiv feet, and aed heard the rustling of the leaves, only to look up and see the brown thrasher right there.

Luckily, aix already had aiv camera out and turned on, for the partridgeberries, so all aix had to do was silently and carefully tilt it to face up to the front, and carefully press the record button to start a video. But aix didn't want to risk trying to zoom in, the movement of the scope might alert the bird.

Aix was beginning to feel the strain in aiv ankles—aix hadn't actually meant to hold this pose for more than a second, but now aix was afraid to move. If aix did, the bird might notice arix and fly away.

Right on cue, the brown thrasher hopped closer, looking in aiv direction. It hopped up onto a tree root while aix held aiv breath, then, thankfully, it looked away, turning around so that its back was to arix, giving arix a perfect view of its reddish brown feathers, long tail, and the thin white bands visible on the edges of its wings. It turned its head to the side, giving aiv a view of its bright yellow eye.

Then the bird finally noticed arix crouching there, and, within an instant, flew away in a soft explosion of wings and red-brown feathers, flying up and out of sight.

Aix stayed frozen for a few more moments, just to see if anything else awesome wanted to pop out of the woods to say hi, like a squirrel or a deer or something. But it was probably too early for deer to be walking around, it was only noon.

A few moments passed, and no other animals decided to show themselves. Aix gratefully sank down into a much more comfortable sitting position, and shifted to the side enough that the sweetgum twig was no longer poking arix in the side of the head. Then aix looked back down at the partridgeberries, since aed gotten distracted from taking pictures of them the first time.

Aix held the camera close, hoping it would focus on the berries properly. The camera was old, and sometimes if aix pointed it at something particularly bright red (usually yaupon holly berries, which it hated), the screen would show the berries as nothing but clusters of red pixels. Aed never seen anything like it before, and so far, it only happened with the color red.

Fortunately, the partridgeberries were apparently not red enough to cause problems, because the camera focused on them with no problem. These ones were smaller than the other ones aed seen, which was interesting. The leaves were the same, though, lined up in pairs along the ground-creeping vine, dark green and round, with a single brighter green vein in the center.

Aix took pictures from different angles, then grabbed aiv paper ruler card out of the breast pocket of aiv vest, then got more pictures with that next to the whole plant, a pair of leaves, and a berry for scale.

Ready to leave, aix paused for a moment, considering taking one of the berries home to save seeds from, then decided against it. These ones were small, and aed rather save seeds from larger berries for the genetics.

Aix stood up, dodged past the sweetgum sapling, and started back towards the sidewalk...then turned back around and went back to take pictures of the sapling. It'd been so inconvenient, aed almost forgotten it was there!

What is his obsession?

Arix is a near kleptomaniac. Anything valuable he can get his hands on is his, and the only reason someone else has it is that he gave it to them or simply didn't know they had it. He also has an obsessive compulsion to count, clean, and ready all of his equipment every night even if he hasn't used it.

Does he have any disabilities?

Yes, Arix walks with a cane everywhere he goes after being cut in half by Electra and healed by Enilisor.

What's Arix's philosophy about life?

Do what has to be done. Arix might not be a hero, but if it comes down to it he'll do whatever it takes for the greater good.

What haunts him?

Arix thinks about the people being burned at the stake in Athkatla every night. He has nightmares about drowning under the sea fighting against the Leviathan. He remembers the horrible pain of the burning magical chains wrapping around his arm when he was late to deliver Orestes. All that haunts him, but his biggest regret is that he wasn't there to save Orestes when it counted. He's taken up Orestes' mission because there's nothing he can do to lay that guilt to rest otherwise.

What will he stand up for?

Even if he knows they're in the wrong, Arix would fight and kill for any one of his friends. Even for the party members he doesn't like, he considers them friends and no one gets to touch his friends.

What are Arix's weapons of choice?

Arix primarily uses the Traveler's sword, Witty Reposte, in one hand and a knife in the other. If he needs to fight long range he uses throwing knives. He also loves to use offensive and illusion magic to manipulate the battlefield to his advantage.

Arix had been traveling near Targon for the past few weeks, helping where he could and otherwise just enjoying the atmosphere. His father had told him many a time of the wondrous view from the mountaintop, one he had witnessed a long time ago. But he’d apparently steered clear of Targon for quite some time.

In the most recent village he’d stopped in, Arix had found signs of a conflict. The villagers told him of dark creatures that had appeared and nearly killed several guardsmen. They described them as violet insectile monsters, some spiderlike in appearance, others more like hound-sized centipedes. No corpses had been recovered from the monsters that were slain, as they seemed to rapidly discorporate once killed. It was while he was asking about the event that someone brought up a name - Zephyra. A Vastayan who might be able to help. Arix was a foreigner in these lands, so if he was able to find assistance in resolving this matter from a native, all the better.

This took him from the village near the foot of the mountain up the mountain itself. He hadn’t anticipated the climb being so taxing. Eventually he made it to the terrain others had described for him.

“Hello?” Arix called out, “I’m looking for a Zephyra, is anyone there?”
