People tend to lump the Raimi goblin redesign in with the modern trend of watered-down militaristic villain costumes, which is fair, but-
this is some classic-era tokusatsu type costume design

It would make Raimi Spidey "comic-accuracy" arguments (both against and for) exponentially less irritating if it was more widely understood that many of its weird decisions are just working off of the 1610 Ultimate Spider-Man comics rather than the 616 ones

The colours of the Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy
A rundown of Sam Raimi’s use of colour in the Spider-Man trilogy.
Since red is Spider-Man’s main colour, it’s associated with goodness and responsibility. Otto being introduced dressed in red is an early indication that he’s more good guy then bad guy.
Orange, the cousin of red, represents redemption and triumph and sacrifice. You’ll notice Harry’s and Otto’s death scenes are both bathed in orange.
Yellow isn’t used much in the Spider-Man movies, but it tends to pop up whenever a character is acting in a confident, arrogant or irresponsible way.
Generally red is the colour associated with danger, but in the Spider-Man movies, right from the beginning it’s green. It’s Norman’s colour, Harry’s colour, and both Doc Ock and Sandman have green somewhere in their costume. Whenever a character is seen amongst or wearing green, they’re in danger, be it physical or spiritual.
Blue is present in serious scenes where characters are sad or going through inner turmoil. (Yeah, that’s a cliche, but it’s a cliche for a reason.)
Purple is the signifier that something is wrong, that a character is behaving wrongly or has failed in some way.
Venom’s colour. Throughout all three movies, black is associated with dark emotions: revenger, anger, hatred.

binge drinking usually isn't completely on a whim. it kinda relies on already being used to ingesting alcohol. you weren't gonna get anywhere any more than we would if we decided to try.
Look if we fucking went for it i am sure we could consume enough alcohol to be a bad idea in combination with our 200 mg of zoloft daily, that seems like it’s probably less than a normal person would have to drink to endanger themself. The main problem was that it turns out whisky combined with root beer tastes like cough syrup, and we are major wimps. Anyway there’s a 50% chance something about how we process depressants is fucked up enough that it would not have worked anyway
