2022 was a bit quieter for me when it came to writing, and I definitely didn’t get to everything I had planned after work and life took over for the last half of the year. That said, it’s been a good year!

4. Work I’m most proud of (and why): That’s a tough one, but it would probably be Truebonds. The world building in that story was next level - super complex and new territory in terms of the ABO trope. I love writing ABO and exploring the new dynamics with nesting and scenting was really fun!

5. Work I’m least proud of (and why): Sadly, Mistletoe, Memories, and Mayhem. This was entirely my own fault, but it did finally make me realise that writing for Exchanges is just not my jam, so it’s fests or standalone fics from here on out!

6. Share or describe a favorite review you received: I received so many lovely comments and messages this year and I appreciate every single one of them. I remember reading this one though and just stopping in my tracks because it made me laugh. This is the true nature of it all, isn’t it? I mean, this is why I write, because I enjoy it. So thanks to Jill on AO3 who is always prodding me with a stick for my next story and giving me a good chuckle along the way.

7. A time when writing was really, really hard: Work really took over a lot of my normally free time in the second half of this year, which was frustrating, but something that couldn’t be avoided. Then, once it eased off, my rhythm of writing every day was in disarray, so it took a while to get back into it.

8. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: Louis’ Omega character in Truebonds didn’t end up where I had envisioned. In the original story, he was far more subdued, but then once I started writing it, that went out the window and with it, a lot of the plot. I’m really happy with how he turned out though.

9. A favorite excerpt of your writing: From Dust To Lust (this is stupidly long - apologies - but I just loved their banter in this fic)

Harry twists around in his seat. “Ooohhh, you’re one of those people?”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“A control freak.”

“Are you kidding me?”

“It’s fine. I’m just more of an adventure seeker. Like to let the road unfold before me and enjoy the journey.”

Louis’ blood boils in his veins. Who the fuck does this guy think he is? He’s about to rain hellfire down on him when he catches the glint in Harry’s eyes. Cheeky, fucking, shit. He fixes Harry with a challenging stare. “Oh yeah? Care to explain your behaviour back in the departure lounge then?”

“Whatever do you mean?” Harry asks faux-innocently.

“I mean, you’re full of shit. You’re just as much of a planner as I am.”

“How do you figure that?”

Louis narrows his eyes. “There were, what, seventy people in that lounge? And yet you and I were the only ones to work out what was really going on, what the implications were going to be, and then devise a plan to get out of there. What was your process?”

The self-satisfied grin that blooms on Harry’s face is one Louis can’t help but mirror, no matter how hard he tries.

“Well, I checked the weather app, then social media, and worked out what the problem was.”

“Same,” Louis says, nodding.

“Then I checked the car park and realised-”

“There was only one rental car left.”

“Yeah. Clocked you from across the room and assumed you’d made the same deduction, but I didn’t want to create a scene or a stampede, so I just hoped I could beat you to the rental desk.”

“Hmmm… shame for you that those stupidly long legs couldn’t carry you there a bit quicker.”

“Shame for you that your arse couldn’t bounce you over faster too.”

“Oi!”

Harry’s grin turns up into a full-on smirk. “Anyway, I thought we could just get on the road and sort out the other stuff as we went along. That’s the advantage of having two people in the car.”

Louis huffs out a breath and turns to look out of the open passenger window, trying to hide his own smirk and the hint of a blush he doesn’t think could be reasonably excused by the warm weather. “Yeah. Whatever. Let’s go, Harold.”

“It’s just Harry, actually.”

“Of course it is, Harold.”

10. How did you grow as a writer this year: I was so terrified that I wouldn’t get my mojo back after I’d had to take a break due to work commitments, and it did take longer than I thought it would, but I learned that if I trust myself I’ll always find my way back.

11. How do you hope to grow next year: The story I’m going to be writing for the next few months for Big Bang is a tough one. Louis is blind for the majority of the fic and that has presented some real challenges in terms of my writing style. I usually use visual descriptions to set the scenes, but that isn’t possible here, so I’m learning how do that in other ways. I’m interested in how that will come across to the reader and whether it will be at all successful.

12. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): I’m so grateful for everyone who has a positive influence on my writing, especially all the lovely writers on discord, but I’d like to give a special shoutout to @so-why-let-your-voice-be-tamed @evilovesyou and @lululawrence for being so supportive and sprinting with me throughout the year and, of course, my amazing beta @parmahamlarrie who is always there cheering me on and giving so much of her precious time to polishing my ramblings xx

13. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: So, so much. I really doubled-down on the whole Australian thing this year. 6 of my 9 fics were set in Australia and I absolutely adored sharing locations and experiences I’ve had with everyone. There will definitely be more of this in 2023!

14. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: Listen to the characters and let them take you where they want to go!

15. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: Two in particular. My Advent Fic that didn’t end up happening this year that I will be writing for Christmas 2023, which is called 7 Decembers, you can read a bit more about it here! 16. Anthony’s Stupid Daily Blog (381): Sun 2nd Apr 2023

Another night of WrestleMania…man this is becoming a real chore! Dad and I spent the afternoon wandering around the local area enjoying the sunshine. I went into a nearby pizza place and asked for a small pizza and was presented with a pizza the size of a wheel from a monster truck. Holy shit if this is what a small sized pizza looks like then it’s no wonder they’re all fat as fucking pigs! I only got through about half of it before I was full. I was assuming that I’d bump into a homeless person on the way back to my hotel but I didn’t see a single one and so put it in the bin. There should be an app where you can see where the nearest homeless person is so that if you have some half eaten food you can donate it to them. After a quick charging of the phone back in my hotel room I set of for WrestleMania night two. I understand why these shows are now two nighters (bloated roster and more money) but all the WWE have done is made it more stressful and more expensive for their fucking fans than it would be if they just trimmed their roster and give us a loaded four hour show. As anticipated the Brock Lesnar vs Omos match was Omos dominating Brock for most of it then Brock making his comeback, getting the F5 and winning. This was a nothing match that felt like a complete waste of a man who is clearly winding down his career. They should have done Brock vs Gunther. For me Hell was working in a call centre with Kevin Craggs and trying to take a shit in the toilet cubicle next to him while he was in the phone making dirty calls to the girls at BabeStation. But up next at Mania, Edge and Finn Balor experienced a different kind of Hell: a Hell…IN A CELL! Early into the match Edge threw a ladder into Balor’s face who didn’t get his arm up to protect himself in time and he needed stitches at ringside. As if one nasty injury was t bad enough the next match featured The Miz and a returning Shane McMahon who legitimately tore his quad a few seconds in and needed to be replaced by Snoop Dogg who very cleverly called an audible and pinned Miz for the win. I know people love Shane partly because he is more preferable than his obnoxious sister but he shouldn’t be anywhere near a wrestling ring. Next was the much anticipated main event where Cody went up against Roman Reigns. I know Cody had been the favourite to dethrone Roman but personally I just don’t see it. Not yet anyway. There has been no storyline other than Cody winning the rumble and this should not be the lead up to someone beating Reigns. It should be the conclusion of a personal storyline spanning several months. There were so many nearfalls and I was on my feet cheering and counting along with the ref’s counts. In the end with help from Solo, Reigns got the win and will now power on towards celebrating 1000 days as WWE Universal champion. I was so happy that Reigns won but little girl next to me was practically in tears but who cares about her. What an experience this has been. Of all the items I’ve crossed off my bucket list in the last 15 years this one felt the most personal and satisfying. Even though the guild hasn’t been great this doesn’t really matter because now I won’t have this constant niggling feeling in the back of my mind that I’ve never gone to Mania. As awesome as this has been I don’t think I’d do it again. Forcing fans to sit for five hours two nights in a row is fine once but that’s it. With Mania off my list I can move on to other wrestling related stuff, namely the Royal Rumble, Wrestle Kingdom and later this year: AEW! I got out of the stadium in good time but the traffic was so bad that I ended up walking all the way back to the hotel. Once I was there Dad and I chilled before heading down to reception to wait for the taxi I’d booked to take us back to our original hotel. Fifteen minutes after it was supposed to be there we lamented the fact that it had t turned up and there was no way to contact them because our UK phones wouldn’t work here. Luckily we got talking outside to an American lass named Stephanie who’s been to Mania with her kids. She very graciously helped us out by contacting the taxi company and telling them that their guy was late and they wouldn’t be able to contact us. The company said they’d send us another taxi right away and it was there within 10 minutes. We thanked Stephanie for her help and told her that if she ever came to the Uk and needed anything she could count on us. The taxi got us back to our first hotel in less than half an hour and we immediately headed to bed. Now that Mania is done we have a guided tour of LA to look forward to tomorrow, then another day to spend however we want before making our way to the Crypto arena to watch the LA Lakers thrash the Clippers!

Louis left Tulum and went to Mexico City, and we got airport pics from both ends: the gathered fans were told by his bodyguard that they should keep their distance but that yes, pictures would be allowed. Thank you Louis! We got to see him a little for the first time in so long, in videos of him walking by (and getting ready to walk by) and blurry pics of him with his guitar, and Oli and Charlie- I’m excited to someday see the footage of whatever they’re working on. But for now, finally some proper pictures of the long long hair, or at least the below the hat part, all flippy and like...LONG! It’s on his SHOULDERS! Early pics had some interesting shadows around an elbow, prompting a flurry of NeW TaTtoO?? excitement, but when more pics were posted we could see that no, his elbow remains the same, false alarm. Once that tattoo kerfuffle died down the interest refocused on his shirt, which featured- a whole damn pile of skulls!

Louis went through a long phase of wearing skull shirts a while back, and the fact that it was during a period of a lot of very pointed t-shirt messages (and that he kept doing it more than ever despite knowing what we were reading into it) seemed to reinforce the theory that he did in fact mean things by it, and seeing him say yes to fan photos while wearing this shirt for the occasion… well! WELCOME BACK public Louis, we MISSED YOU! Yesterday’s shirt was for the band Obituary- is the band name a nod at the fact that Syco, generally considered to be the main target of previous skull shirts, is now dead and gone (rest in pieces assholes:))? Is Louis drawing attention to the livestream that band did a few days ago for their album ‘The End Complete’, and if so, is that also about Syco or about… something else? Inconclusive, but if we were meant to find their song “End It Now”, that can truly only be about one thing!! Am I to believe that SBB himself, Mr “I like to draw the fans’ attention to the lyrics of things” just, whoopsy, missed that! I mean, you would think every band on earth has lyrics about “ending it“ with the number of times he’s made that mistake, damn… he just never learns. Poor Louis, gosh how embarrassing! Lol. Liam has a big interview in Glamour to promote his BAFTAS performance! If *I* were doing the piece I would have really gone hard on the Two Liams angle of the performance (in which Liam will be accompanied by a hologram of himself) but alas they are boring and only interviewed one of him- maybe the part where he says “you're on stage, you're a certain type of person, and at home you're a certain type of person” sort of counts? The “that's always something I've really struggled with” makes it not so fun though, but that’s a Liam interview for ya; worrisome and makes you want to hug him a lot. “I didn't actually realize this for a long time, but I often give a little bit too much away,“ he says, and today is no exception. We catch up on the time since last we heard from him, when he told us he was going to take some well-earned time off and try to focus on writing new music; he continues to have difficulty with downtime unfortunately. Oh Liam, I do wish it were easier for you to take a break! He says, “I stopped working and I had a full, proper month off [and that was] really hard. And it was all a bit dark for me for a little bit... not being able to go anywhere, not being able to do anything. It really, really hit home. And I just found myself sat in the same place day in, day out. And I was like, okay, I really do not know what to do with myself” and “for me, learning to relax has always been quite a hard thing to do because I feel like if I'm not moving forward, then I must be going backwards.” He goes on to say “so, in a way it's kind of a blessing in disguise, as this has all kind of taught me to relax a little bit more. And to not be so worried about that, like the world is not going to fall over if I don't do something today,” and I wish I believed him, but that’s Liam’s way, to be like oh I need to add something upbeat and end on a cheerful note! So IDK. He also talks about drinking too much, at the beginning of lockdown especially, and how he’s dealt with it by getting back to working out and dieting. There’s nothing there that he hasn’t talked about before (he’s publicly addressed both his struggles with alcohol dependency and has talked a lot about his disordered eating though he hasn’t himself named it that) but after publication Glamour edited the piece to omit the part about his drinking-- I’m guessing the augmented reality app people didn’t feel it fit their ideal image (sigh). What that leaves is him saying how nice it was to be able to eat what he wanted during lockdown but that having the boundaries and rules in place of restricting his food again has made him feel better about himself, which if you ask me is still plenty distressing. Oh Liam :( <I’ve never wanted to hug someone so bad/ Spongebob meme> On a slightly more cheerful note, he tells us he feels supported and heard by a manager that he’s close to, and by Louis, and that those relationships are good for him (the interviewer does ask about Bear, but financee Maya is not mentioned even once in this article). The piece ends with a startling response to a comment about his upcoming performance: “I'll see you wherever you want me in your house, I guess.”

Niall posted about his Masters (golf) fantasy league and he was seen out and about! He was photographed in London driving a car the size of a house and on the street carrying one of his dozens of different reusable water bottles, with his hair floppy and down- is it a new haircut or just unstyled??- and shorts and little roundish shades. Hello Neil! There was a rumored sighting of Harry in London as well but no pics and like we know he’s there anyway so… shrug. And iHeart award nominations are up, and they’re pitting louies against harries, ouch. Will it be nasty (well when isn’t it even without this voted category, sigh), or will the louies simply steamroller everyone as per usual? Only time will tell, but if so harries can console themselves with their likely wins in the Male Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics (Adore You), and Song of the Year (WS) categories.

1) How many complete fics/oneshots do you have but haven’t published yet? Like 4 at the moment ahhh but I have so many work in progresses! And constant ideas. They do not stop.

2) How many WIPs do you have? I think 4 WIPs? I honestly have no idea because I'll start writing, come back to it while I start another and they build up

3) Do you take requests, write original fics or both? BOTH baby!!!! I haven't gotten a request yet but I'm so excited! But yes all ideas are mine :)

4) If you have requests how many do you have right now? NONE!! Pleaseeeee ask. PLS. Also I just love talking to people

5) How many fandoms do you write for? Currently only Daredevil/Defenders Saga and I think I wanna keep it that way! I only write about material I'm super passionate about//think I can deliver. (E.g. I LOVE Percy Jackson but could never write a smut about my darling boy, plus I think I'd get too angsty writing a fic about Anakin)

6) Are there any fandoms you used to write for? Yes! I have a Wattpad and used to write about Percy Jackson, Doctor Who and pretty sure 1D at some point. But this is years old and I was actually a child ok 😭

7) Do you write for ships, reader inserts or OC? Lmao the way that my OC is actually ME. Myself in a parallel universe. But mainly reader inserts. I'd like to try ships but I'm not sure if I can execute stuff like that! Also because I ship me and Matt. lol.

8) Niche fandom/characters you write for? Ok so I may or may not have a Michael kinsella fic in progress 👀

9) Do you read fics as well as write them? Fuck. YES.

10) Favourite genre to write for? I love fluff and romance stuff, but angst and smut are genres I love to write. I just want to make people feel things!!

11) What is your favourite trope to write? omfg girl bumps into guy and there's back and forth and yknow shit happens. I love the innocent to dark trope if that counts? (ALSO I LOVE READING JEALOUSY FICS SO YEAH)

12) What do you do to get motivated to write? I feel pretty lucky in that I draw inspiration from everything around me, especially music. I usually put on that song & let my brain do its thing

13) Is there a trope or genre you like to read but not write? Smut definitely because I feel so awkward writing it 😅 but anything Frank Castle cause I feel like I can't capture his essence.

14) Any characters/fandoms you want to write for that are never requested? I feel like I never see anything Elektra on Tumblr. To be fair I hated her and Matt's relationship but I want to see more about her as a person, individually

15) How long have you been writing fan fiction? Since I was like 11 maybe lol. But the first time I posted anything I was seriously proud of was last week! (Early Apr 22)

16) Did you read fan fiction before you started writing? Absolutely !! I feel like I learn from those before me and they inspire me to post!

17) Do you only post on Tumblr or other sites? Only here!

18) What do you personally consider the word counts of "Drabble", "one shots" and "fics"? I don't really care for it at all! Generally drabbles are short, one shots are a bit longer and fics are more like series w chapters?

19) Which do you prefer to write more? I love all of them, I don't have a preference! I would say series are the most difficult to write because you need a good concept with plot lines/twists etc

20) Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why? None atm!

21) What is one of your main pet peeves as a writer on Tumblr? I'm lucky to not have had dealt with anyone rude just yet, but I guess I would have to say imposter syndrome which can really get me down, or when people like/reblog your fics but don't follow? idk

22) Do you write at a particular time of day? Whenever I get the idea! I write on my Notes app whenever and wherever 😭

23) Do you listen to music when you write or do you need total silence? I am hereby plugging my Matt Murdock playlist here and my Anakin/Hayden Christensen playlist here

24) Do you outline your fics at all before writing? Generally yes but it depends! Sometimes mid-write I'll get an idea for a line for another fic and write it down for instance

25) Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time of day? I kind of have to psych myself up to post sometimes but generally once I finish it!! I do edit my fics as much as possible but I like that once you post it its kind of done, before I started posting I'd edit them over and over again 😖
