I’m honestly glad that Sabine stayed behind on Peridea with Ahsoka.
Because, and okay, okay… there was a minute where I thought Sabine was going to bounce right on out of there like a rubber ball, and leave Ahsoka to fend off all of those undead storm troopers and Morgan Elsbeth alone.
I had a wave of negative emotions flow through me…. with questions like, “how TF could all of those media illiterate folks be right about Ahsoka being left alone on Peridea?” And “I thought the theme of this whole ass show was ‘master and apprentice’?” And “Ahsoka JUST told Sabine that she would stick by her no matter what after damning the galaxy to a war, and Sabine is just going to leave Ahsoka there?” And “Wow! What a dick move!” And “Oh my god! No! Don’t you DARE do that to her!”
And then Morgan says, “you’ll die here alone.” 🥺
And Sabine goes, “not alone” followed by the sound of her igniting her lightsaber. 🥳
I immediately jumped up and screamed at my television. I wanted to jump straight through the screen to hug Sabine even though she’d done some bone-headed ass shit, at least she is was unwilling to leave poor Ahsoka behind… and then they just slayed together.
It completed me.
I honestly don’t know what they’re going to find on that planet (aside from Ahsoka’s staff; they’ll find that), but I hope we all get to find out.

I just want to repost all the art for Salice.
The first piece was masterfully done by @knight-engale! Salice is with Morgan, her strong and beautiful sailor gf, looking so happy and cute and it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy. They love to dance!
The other two beauties were done by @the-apricotapprentice! I think the 2nd portait is the first ever art done of Salice! And the last artwork was a Valentine's day exchange. Salice and her fiancé Julian from the Arcana!
Thank you two for what you've done for me, I won't ever forget it and I'm so thankful for these arts of my precious Sisi.

“By their outfit and the pony they rode, the figure was clearly distinguishable as a Ranger. The rangers were an elusive group, supposedly living in the woods of the kingdom. In the past there were attempts by the crown to clear the forest of their presence, even being so thorough as to have an unbroken line of knights march from one side to the other, but no rangers were ever found. Because no one had ever seen more than two or three at a time, their numbers were impossible to gauge, and it was unclear if they even had a leader. So far they had never been openly antagonistic, except to those who have wronged them somehow, and since they help keep the levels of bandits low, and never seem to steal, the crown tolerated their presence, even going as far as to work together with a ranger or two on a common problem. Despite this, their motives still remained unpredictable, and any soldier of the crown was ordered to interact with them cautiously.”
I’m back on my “let’s write a rangercore story” vibe let’s gooooo

#4 for the aesthetic ask, please
4. what flower/plant do you associate with them?
I tend to associate Morgan with lotuses! They're a water-based flower, and I've drawn Morgan with them a couple times. I know lotuses are usually pink, and Morgan is usually blue, but they're just so pretty. I wish there was more to the association, but there really isn't... It's just pretty water thing + pretty water thing.

British billionaire Lord Sugar rips remote work while Zooming in—but he may have a point about mentorship | Fortune
British billionaire Lord Sugar rips remote work—while Zooming in from off-site. But he may have a point that it’s ‘bad for morale, bad for learning’
In a remote interview, the host of the UK version of "The Apprenctice" said no one learns “sitting at home in your pajamas.”

“You don’t learn sitting at home in your pajamas,” the entrepreneur and host of the U.K.’s “The Apprentice” said. Don Arnold—WireImage/Getty Images
Lord Alan Sugar hates remote work so much he calls in remotely to the BBC to complain about it.
The British billionaire went viral on TikTok for espousing his anti-remote-work views from the comfort of a remote office—but work experts have agreed with much of what he’s saying.
“You don’t learn sitting at home in your pajamas,” the entrepreneur and host of the U.K.’s The Apprentice said. The interview, conducted last week, was part of Sugar’s press tour following the 18th season premiere of The Apprentice. “I’m totally against it, quite frankly. I think it’s bad for morale, bad for learning. I know I learn from being with other people in an office.”
While Sugar has taken a more incendiary stance than most, his opinions are hardly unpopular—especially among older, more established businesspeople.
Citadel CEO Ken Griffin said that failing to work in person is a “grave mistake” and could make it easier for your boss to fire you, since they’re unlikely to know you personally. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon called remote work an “aberration,” and JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon said remote workers at his bank should probably work elsewhere, while Tesla’s Elon Musk took it a step further, saying remote employees are simply pretending to work...."
Can we yeet these selfish mofos, into the Sun? The wealth class in Britain is ALL TRASH. 'LORD Sugar'. JP Morgan regularly involves itself in such things as Trafficking (Epstein) Psyops against America (one of the people involved in QANON, worked at JP Morgan). Goldman Sachs is barely legitimate, itself. And we all know how destructive Apartheid Clyde has been. California shouldn't forget how he cost the state its planned Train system, over an Electric Vehicle stunt.
They want their portfolios to stay up, their physical footprint to block land, and most importantly, to use employees for various manipulations. Work Harassment and Psychological Games come to mind. The negative shit people deal with in an office atmosphere. I really think it's all about Control.
As an FYI, if people really think these men are not inherently evil, just remember the type of films we've been getting lately; most, financed by Wall Street. So much Psychological Horror, Underage Sexual themes, and Hyperviolence. Fight for your right to Remote Work!

Thinking about the family arrangements of the "Howl's Moving Castle" film, specifically the question of where Markl (Howl's young apprentice) (pretty different from the Michael of the books) comes from... I do like the idea that Howl essentially took in an orphaned child whom he found on the street or something, because I like seeing adopted families. They're cool. It's cute.
Or maybe there was some complicated situation (curses, spells, adventures, oh my) with Markl's parents? Who can't care for him or can't be trusted to care for him, but they're still out there? If you want to get into the "messy bio family situation" side of adoption issues.
While thinking about this, my brain took a leap to the side and asked, "Even if I really don't like a 'Howl and Markl are biological family' angle on this, is there a way to pull that off?" In the books, Howl performs several extended courtships of beautiful women, so I suppose that you could just go with him having accidentally had a child with one of his exes or something. Easy enough. I still prefer the adoption of an orphan route.
And then I thought, "WAIT. If Howl has a reputation for seducing women, eating hearts, and then running off, then it would be really easy for some young girl with an unwanted pregnancy to CLAIM to her unhappy parents that the wandering Wizard Howl fathered her child." So then Howl could get saddled with a small child dumped on his doorstep and told to take responsibility as a father, even though he's never met this woman in his life!
And I thought that sounded like a really funny balance between the ambiguous situation of the movie and the style of humor of the books. That sounds like a Wynne-Jonesian situation to me! Sophie has to wrestle with her admiration that Howl selflessly took in this poor, unwanted child (Markl) and is raising him as best as he's able (for a given value of "best"), and also wrestle with her annoyance that Howl's reputation as a flirt is such a fucking mess that he has a "bastard" child who isn't even actually his bio kid.
Even funnier bonus interpretations / directions for this, in my opinion: (1) Howl is a trans man and is physically incapable of knocking anyone up without magic being involved. (Sophie and Howl have a kid in the books named Morgan.) The girl making the claim did not know this and Howl did not enlighten anyone.
(2) If it happened once (a girl successfully claiming that Howl is the father of her unwanted child despite never having met him), then it can happen again! Sophie knows Howl didn't cheat on her, but she's still not impressed by this mess. (Maybe this is where Morgan comes from in this AU.)

So, obviously Baylan and Ahsoka are foils, right? We all agree on that, right? For a hot second at the very beginning of episode one I actually did think it would be Ahsoka who would step off that ship. "We are no jedi." People assume he's a sith, people assume she's a jedi. They're both not quite either. The next parallel for me was ruthlessness. His killing anyone in the way to get to Morgan, Ahsoka's off the cuff allusion to using torture to get information. In this episode he rightly points out that this is something she learned directly from Anakin, but his thesis statement is that you have to destroy in order to create. He takes it further than she does.
And then there's the padawans. His apprentice wears a padawan braid, he tells of jedi fairytales, she's learning darkside techniques. She replicates jedi training, she teaches their philosophy, she's chosen a non-traditional student.
They're both survivors of a genocide and being hunted for decades. Ahsoka interacts constantly with the rules and ideas of the old order through Huyang, which is an interesting choice on her part. And what comes through for me is that though they are not free from their pasts, they are aware that they are free to choose what to pass on. And they both want to pass on something of it. They are unlikely to agree on what.
There's more to this story of course, we're only halfway through. We don't even know what it is Baylan thinks he can create out of ashes. I'm looking forward to finding out.
