Please tell us more about your Izuku and Inuko AU!! Especially me since I haven’t watched Bee and Puppycat 💖
OMG YES OF COURSE thanks for giving me the opportunity to gush
Also well this is obvious but this does contain spoilers for BAPC even in an AU context so if you haven’t seen it and don’t want spoilers. Stop reading now :’)
BASICALLY it’s about Izuku, who is currently 22 and cannot hold down a job to save his life. This causes issues with him being able to pay rent on his apartment, so he’s kinda desperate for work. All of this changes when he suddenly encounters a strange puppy? Cat? Both?, who Izuku decides to take home with him after the puppycat literally fell out of the sky and bonked him on the head lmao
After Izuku fixes him up, he laments about his inability to get rent money. The puppycat (Todoroki, or Inuko, as he’s referred to in this AU), who is shown to be more than just a brainless pet, reveals that he’s connected with an agency that gives people temporary work—so basically, one day jobs that don’t require actual full time commitment in exchange for pay. Even more of a shock, he’s able to transport himself and Izuku to a place where they can get temporary work. This in turn leads them to doing many different kinds of jobs on various planets. Imagine like, Super Mario Galaxy-esque planets for this. They’re usually pretty small, have a breathable atmosphere, and host a bunch of different talking creatures. Izuku and Inuko take on a variety of jobs and help out tons of aliens, pretty much!
As far as I can tell with what’s been established within the BAPC universe, magic isn’t an out of place thing and the residents of the island that all the characters inhabit are used to weird things happening around them. Of course a lot of them question it if it’s especially weird, but most of them don’t bat an eye at Inuko’s appearance, or that he’s smarter than your average pet. It’s basically a world where magic, technology, and space travel are familiar, at least to the people living on the island.
Anyway, as things progress we learn several things:
Inuko can talk, but only Izuku (and some aliens) can understand him,
Inuko actually has a very tragic past—he was originally a space prince, but abandoned his kingdom and became an outlaw. He fell in love with the Space King’s daughter (different kingdom. Not his own lol) and agreed to run away with her, but she betrayed him and led him into a trap by the Space King and his warlocks. The device meant to capture him malfunctioned and transformed him into the puppycat we all know and love so much before he escaped. Inuko has told this story as more of a fairy tale to Izuku, who isn’t aware that it’s all true and accurate, so he doesn’t know Inuko’s true name is Shouto and that he’s a prince/outlaw,
Izuku is regarded as very immature despite his age (not in the manner of him acting like a child but him just being kind of ignorant about responsibility and taking on more adult points of view) but there’s actually a deeper reason for this,
Izuku’s apartment is basically more of a triplex that he shares with two other families, one of which he grew up closely with. (I haven’t yet decided who each character is within the family yet.) Izuku is especially close to Rody, and they both kind of have a crush on each other?,
Izuku’s father is not present, but is shown to have been very close with him when Izuku was younger. It’s also stated several times that he’s a brilliant inventor. Izuku has a lot of strange magical contraptions in his apartment (and around the island) that were most likely invented by his father. Izuku’s mother is never mentioned,
During several of their temp jobs, Izuku and Inuko are attacked by enormous black hands with no visible body attached to them. They are later revealed to be connected to the warlocks responsible for Inuko’s transformation, who have been hunting Inuko down since his escape,
During a battle with several of these hands, Izuku is torn apart and is revealed to be part cyborg, made up of an assortment of robotic parts. Izuku was aware of this beforehand, but Inuko and Rody were not, so it came as a shock to them. Things start to make more sense: Why Izuku lacks the maturity he should have at his age (if that age is even accurate), the connection he has to his father (who created him), and the bizarre amount of strength he possesses. This event actually draws him and Inuko closer together, as Inuko realizes that they’re both outcasts and don’t really fit in anywhere.
That’s the gist of it!! Feel free to ask me more questions about stuff if you’re confused or just want to know more :D

At age fourteen, you didn’t exactly have much on your plate. It was the summer before high school and your days mostly consisted of the same things: Subways rides to the “dangerous” parts of New York (or as far as Aunt May allowed) and trips to random streets you couldn’t find on a map. Some days were spent inside playing Mario Kart until your thumbs hated you, and some days were spent outdoors until the sun had fully set and your parents were just about ready to kill you for being out so late. No matter what you were doing, you days were spent with your best friend Peter Parker.
You’d been friends since preschool and being apart was not something either of you enjoyed. Today was no different. You were hanging out in Peters room, just three days before high school was going to start.
It was a slow Sunday. You were just sitting on Peters bed, joking around like always. It's been that way for years, Peter and Y/n, the dynamic duo. But you kinda always liked him a little more than a friend. You couldn't help it. Peter was sweet, kind, adorable, respectful, and treated you like royalty. You didn’t know when the platonic moments in your friendship began to feel romantic, but once you noticed, it was all you thought about.
“Do you think the people will be nice?” You asked Peter as you curled into on of his pillows. Peter joined you on the bed and shrugged.
“I’m sure they’ll be nice enough.” He said.
“Do you think the boys will be nice?” You asked the real question that was on your mind.
Peter was quiet for a minute and shifted his position.
“I don’t know.” He shrugged and kept his eyes down. “Maybe?”
You sat up on your elbow and faced him.
“Do you think they’ll like me?” You asked him awkwardly. Sometimes, having a boy best friend made conversations like these harder than they needed to be.
“The boys?” Peter squeaked, feeling a weird feeling in his tummy at your sudden interest in guys.
“Yeah.” You said shyly.
“Of course they will.” Peter stated. “Why wouldn’t they?”
“I’m kinda, I don’t know, nerdy.” You shrugged.
“You think you’re nerdy?” Peter asked. “I wear science pun T shirts and my aunt still packs my lunches.”
“Yeah, but what about the whole space thing?” You asked him. You were a bit of a space geek, something Peter adored about you.
“Y/n, you’re a genius when it comes to knowing about space. That doesn’t make you a nerd. That makes you super cool.” Peter assured you. He hated when you felt insecure about your intelligence. You were the smartest person he knew, and he loved that.
“I’m glad you think so, but I doubt high school boys will find my geekiness ‘super cool’.” You said meekly.
“What kind of guys are you into anyway?” Peter pretended to just think of the question, when he’d really been thinking about it for months. You laughed a little to yourself, know long the kind of guys you were into were Peter.
“I don’t know. Nice ones? I don’t really think about it. As long as he’s kind and can make me laugh, I’ll take him.” You shrugged with a small smile. “And if he knows a thing or two about space, that’d be nice too.”
“You’re telling me all a guy has to be is kind, funny, know a little something about space to be with a girl like you?” Peter asked in disbelief. “There’s gotta be something else, something you look for.”
“A girl like me?” You asked curiously.
“Yeah, uh, I don’t know.” Peter scratched the back of his neck. “It was a dumb question. Forget I asked.”
“Okay.” You watched Peter curiously for a moment before looking away. “And I like musicians, by the way.” You blurted. “That’s the thing I look for. Especially the guitar.”
You and Peter dropped the topic and went on as usual.
The first day of school came and went. When the sun set and you finished your homework, you took Peter to the roof to stargaze like you always did. You sat between Peters legs against the chimney and tilted your chins towards the sky.
“Wow.” You breathed.
“The stars are really showing off tonight, aren’t they? Putting on a show for us.” Peter said softly as he watched your reaction to the sky.
“I could look at the sky for hours.” You sighed and held onto Peters arm, which were wrapped around your shoulders.
“They seem so close. Just a few miles from where we are.” Peter commented.
“Well the closest star to Earth is Proxima Centauri. It’s just 4.2 light-years away.” You absentmindedly told Peter a fact about space. You missed the fond smile he gave you as he found himself wanting to know more.
“And the furthest?” He asked.
“The furthest star right now is 100 million light years away. It’s in the M100 galaxy of the Virgo Cluster.” You said like it was common knowledge. Peters eyes gleamed with an inexplicably fondness for your intelligence.
“How many do you think there are? A million?” He asked, playing dumb now to coax more facts out of you.
“About 200 to 400 billion, and about a trillion in the Milky Way.” You answered, suddenly becoming self conscious of your words. “Uh, I’m guessing.”
“Seems like a pretty good guess to me.” Peter shrugged against your body.
“Sorry. I’m being weird. I’ll stop.” You shifted awkwardly and swallowed.
“You’re not being weird.” Peter said defensively. “Tell me about them.”
“What?” You looked over your shoulder at him.
“The stars. Tell me about them. I want to hear everything you know.” Peter smiled sheepishly.
“No you don’t. It’s boring.” You shook your head.
“Not to me.” Peter promised. A smile tugged onto your lips and you turned back towards the sky.
“So, space is infinite, obviously.” You began. “You got your planets, galaxies, moons, nebulas, and of course, stars. My favorite are stars.”
“Me too.” Peter held you closer and rested his chin on your hair as he listened.
“Stars are luminous spheres made of plasma-“
“Plasma?” Peter asked.
“It’s superheated gas threaded with a magnetic field.” You answered. Stars are mostly made of hydrogen, which they fuse in their cores.”
“Got it.” Peter nodded as if he understood a word you said. His sudden interest encouraged you to keep going.
“That process releases energy, which pushes against the weight of the outer layers of the star and stabilizes it. The energy is also released as heat and light, which radiates out to space.” You continued.
“Amazing.” Peter stared at your profile. The way your face lit up when talking about something you loved made Peters heart melt. He could listen to you all night.
“I know, right?” You laughed happily, making Peter grin. “And did you know stars were some of the first objects to form in the early stages of the universe? We’re looking at the same stars dinosaurs, Galileo, and King Henry have looked at. Isn’t that incredible to think about? The same sun that warms our skin has shown on Alice Paul and Stan Lee. That’s why I love space so much.”
“I didn’t know that.” Peter said gently.
“Because people don’t take the time to learn about it.” You sighed in disappointment. “I mean, they teach us about the phases of the moon and whatnot, but they don’t tell us about the basic groundwork of the universe. Like, have you ever been taught how a star is formed?”
“No. Could you tell me?” Peter asked gently.
“Well, as long as you’re asking.” You smiled sheepishly to hide your excitement. “So, star formation happens in clouds of interstellar gas and dust called “nebulae”, right? The star starts to form when the cloud is nudged into a spinning motion, usually by a shock wave from a nearby supernova explosion or something. Clumps begin to form, and they get hotter and hotter as they gain more mass. When the temperature inside reaches 10 million degrees Celsius a star is born.” You recited. You looked over at Peter and noticed that he was dead silent, just staring at you. Your cheeks heated up when Peter didn’t say anything, and you got quiet. “Sorry. I’m rambling.”
“No, it’s okay.” Peter snapped out of his awe and assured you. “Keep going.”
“Do you really want to hear about stars?” You asked suspiciously.
“No, but I like to hear you talk.” Peter admitted.
"I still can't believe Liz turned you down.” You changed the subject to something more Peters speed. He had asked Liz Allen to the back to school party at Flash’s house and she promptly turned him down. “She's crazy."
You felt Peter shrug against you again and you wondered if you should’ve kept your mouth shut.
"It’s whatever. I didn’t really like her anyway.” Peter answered honestly.
"I know, but still. Who in their right mind would turn you down? She’s lucky you even looked her way.” You said, not even realizing what your words meant to Peter. He felt it too, that shift from platonic to romantic. He was just glad you weren’t facing him and couldn’t see his blush.
“You’re just saying that.” He replied.
“No, I’m not.” You said sincerely. “You're so nice to everyone and so smart. And oh my God, the funniest guy in the world. And not to mention, cute as hell.”
Peters body suddenly felt warm against yours and you wondered if he was blushing.
(Yes, he was)
"Nowhere near as cute as you." He said in a shy voice. You looked back at him gave him a playful shove.
"Oh, shut up. No I'm not." You looked back at the sky to keep yourself from smiling as Peter shook his head.
"You should see the way guys look at you. They practically drool." He muttered, and you could hear a tinge of jealousy in his voice.
"Oh, please. No guys stare at me.” You dismissed. “Why would they? I'm nothing special."
Peter finally looked at you and met your eyes.
"Do you really not know you're beautiful?" He asked, confusion in his voice.
"What?” You asked quietly.
"You know you're beautiful, right Y/n?" Peter sat up a little and sounded serious. Unsure of what to say, you didn’t answer and just chewed your lips.
"Did you really not know that?” Peter asked again.
You shook you head and Peter laughed in disbelief.
"I'm not beautiful, Peter. Not like Liz, anyway. Not even close." You said softly, making Peter look at you like you were crazy.
"Yes you are, Y/n.” Peter said firmly. “Inside and out. I can't believe no ones ever told you."
“Why does it matter?” You shrugged.
“Look up.” Peter said suddenly, and you did.
“You see those stars? All 200 to 400 billion of them?” He asked and you nodded. “You are more beautiful than every single one of them. Even the trillion in the Milky Way. And you’re wrong. The closest star isn’t 4.2 light years away. She’s sitting right next to me.”
“You listened.” You smiled small and looked back down at him.
"I always listen.” Peter told you. That's it, hand me my backpack.” He commanded. You laughed but did as you were told. Peter began to dig in his backpack, emptying it of books to find what he was looking for.
"What are you doing?" You asked him. He didn't answer, but pulled a small ukulele out of his bag.
“Since when do you play?” You asked in shock. You were so sure you knew everything there was to know about Peter Parker.
“Since about three days ago.” Peter answered as he held the instrument to his ear and tuned it.
"Just listen, okay? I know it’s not a guitar, but listen.” He asked calmly. You nodded, dying to see where this was going as he began to strum his ukulele. His fingers soon found the rhythm and a melody flowed out. You didn't recognize the song a first, but soon realized it was You're Beautiful by James Blunt. You smiled and rested your hand on his knee as he played.
"My life is brilliant, my love is pure. I saw an angel, of that I'm sure." He sang softly. Not only could Peter play, the boy could sing. His voice was smooth and angelic, making your heart flutter. You’d never been serenaded before and it was definitely something you could get used to.
"You're beautiful, you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful, it's true. I saw your face in a crowded place and I don't know what to do. Cause I'll never be with you." He continued the song, finally looking away from the strings and into your eyes. You listened to him as closely as you could, basking in the moment. There was that incredible voice that you loved. Peter was always shy about things he was good at, and you wondered if that’s why you’d never heard his singing before. You felt robbed of his glory for the past 14 years.
"There must be angel with a smile on her face when she thought up that I should be with you.” He sang through a smile.
You beamed at him and his cheeks grew pinker and pinker. Peters fingers dragged along the strings as he approached the final verse.
"But it's time to face the truth; I will never be with you." He strummed once more before setting the ukulele down on his lap. He looked very satisfied with his little serenade before looking up at you for approval. You looked up into his brown eyes and broke into a huge smile.
"That was beautiful, Peter. I loved it.” You told him honestly as you reached over and took his hand. “But some of those lyrics are a lie."
Peter put the ukele back in his bag and sighed.
"No they're not, Y/n. You really are beautiful." He promised.
You laughed softly and toyed with his fingers.
"No, not those lyrics." You shook your head and Peter looked confused.
"Then, which lyrics?" He asked.
You held your breath and looked away from his gaze. It was time to take a leap of faith. “The ones that say ‘I'll never be with you’, I mean. That’s not true. At least, I hope it’s not true.” You look into Peters eyes and search them for a reaction. You thank your lucky stars when you see his face light up and a huge grin making its way across his lips.
"REALLY?!" He asked excitedly, then clears his throat and tries to look casual. "I mean um, really?" Peter asked with all the hope on the world in his eyes.
“Really.” You confirmed.
"Truth is Y/n, Liz didn’t turn me down. I actually turned her down for a the party because…” he trailed off.
"Because?" You asked, encouraging him to continue.
"Because, well...you're the one that I want. Not her or any other girl. I wanna be with you." He said softly and carefully, in fear of being rejected.
Little did he know, you had been dreaming of being his for months at that point. You didn't want to spend another second being just his friend. Peter looked at you longingly, expecting you to say something. But you didn't say anything; you just leaned forward and pressed your lips to his, gently in the pale moonlight. Peter seemed surprised at first, but then kissed you back, cupping your cheek with his hand. You leaned forward and pushed him back against the base of the chimney, melting into him. You finally broke apart and stared at each other in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other's presence. He brought his slightly cold hand back to your cheek and you leaned into it.
"I really like you, Y/n.” Peter smiled, looking the happiest you’d ever seen him.
"I really like you too, Peter.” You smiled back.
Peter laughed in joy and kissed you again.
“Do you want to go to that party together?” Peter suggested “As a couple?”
“I would love to.” You agreed to his offer and turned around again to settle into his arms. You tilted your chins towards the sky again, returning to your stargazing. This time, you weren’t thinking about space. Stars weren’t your favorite thing in the universe anymore. Now, it was Peter Parker.

In my dream wedding I always imagined having it Nintendo themed bc I love Nintendo. I always wanted to walk down the aisle to The Great Fairy Fountain from Zelda and have my first dance be to Rosalina's Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy. In my own personal daydreams I'm always like "Shiggy would think this is so corny and lame but I know he'd smile and do it for me anyways because he thinks it's cute and loves the franchise as much as I do.😂
Honestly I know Shigaraki is a lowkey grump but I don’t see him thinking things are corny or lame if he likes you. Like he’s very accepting of his allies and wants them to have what they want, so while I can absolutely see him telling you something is straight up stupid if he doesn’t really know you, I think he would be unabashedly enthusiastic about your ideas by the time you got around to marriage.

Munday post
I figured maybe this week I’d do a different type of Munday.  Most of my long time roleplay partners already know me quite a bit and I also try to introduce myself to newer partners as well, however I figured this could be a good chance for everyone to really get to know me.  I’m including everything under a read more not because long post and also because I know not everyone likes seeing this type of thing.  It’s just a bunch of random facts about me and my favorite things along with a munday pic under the cut.  I didn’t want to just throw out a munday picture like most would do.  I’ve done that plenty of times before and there’s nothing wrong with it, I just felt like doing something a bit more unique and different this time that might really give people a chance to get to know me :D
So long post under the cut.
So, first off, my name is Derek.  I’m the mun.  I just recently turned 30 and I’m from Indiana.  I work in a preschool, essentially as a glorified baby sitter.  I help the teachers get their breaks.
I’ve been interacting on here since November of 2013 and I’ve had this exact blog with this exact URL the entire time.  I wanted something really generic and not just a quote or something like that.  I first tried TheEleventhDoctor, but obviously that was taken so this ended up being what I went with.  As for the theme, it too was made a VERY long time ago.  The TARDIS theme with the opening doors on the TARDIS actually used to be quite popular when I first started interacting on here, particularly with the Doctor Who RP fandom.  Although I’m the only one I see with it these days, if you go looking for older Doctor Who blogs that have gone inactive you are actually likely to find a few other blogs with it.  As for the background picture, I found that one myself except for the part with Matt Smith/The Eleventh Doctor edited on.  That part was done by someone I used to interact with who just surprised me with it one day and unfortunately isn’t on Tumblr anymore :(  Having been on this platform for so long I’ve obviously seen a lot of blogs come and go and I miss every single last one of them :(  However I also enjoy everyone I currently interact with and would recommend almost any of them.  Seriously, if anyone is looking for new people to interact with, let me know you are looking for people and what fandoms you enjoy and I can probably recommend a few blogs!
Outside of Tumblr RP, I enjoy video games, yugioh, reading comics, general super hero related stuff, watching movies, playing Pokemon Go (I help run the local PoGo community) general board games, watching my shows, figure collecting, and cosplay, most of which I’m sure is stuff many of you also enjoy.  My fandoms include Doctor Who (obviously), DC, Star Wars, The Legend of Korra/ATLA (I’m one of the few that likes LoK more than ATLA), Marvel, Star Trek, Firefly, Power Rangers, The Walking Dead, Yugioh, Pokemon, Sherlock, general Nintendo fandom, Digimon and Harry Potter.
Here’s a few things about me in list form.
My favorite musician is Weird Al Yankovic.
My favorite book is Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robbison.  As someone who’s been diagnosed with aspergers syndrome myself, this book really spoke to me in my original read through and since then I’ve purchased it multiple times.  I own at least three or four different copies of this book, partially because I kept loaning it out to people.
My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series.  Don’t ask me for a favorite book in the series, I love them all about equally.
As for comics, right now my favorite thing I’m reading is the Power Rangers series that Boom is putting out.  Some of my favorites of all time include Power Ranger Soul of the Dragon, the Star Trek TNG/Doctor Who crossover, the Power Rangers/Justice League Crossover, the original Spider-Gwen series, Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death, The Dark Knight Returns (I know anything Frank Miller related is a bit controversial but I enjoy it for what it is) and Batman: Hush.
Favorite movies include UHF, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America the First Avenger, Avengers End Game, the Justice League movie, anything and everything DC animated, anything and everything Spider-Man related (yes, I even like Spider-Man 3 although it wasn’t as good as the others), anything Star Wars related although I’d say Force Awakens is my favorite one, the 2017 Power Rangers movie, Serenity, The Lego movie and it’s sequel, Yugioh Bonds Beyond Time, Mystery Men, Galaxy Quest, all the Star Trek movies, the corny 90′s Mario movie, the Doctor Who movie, and Detective Pikachu.  Really, any of the Marvel and DC movies could probably make this list as well, I’m not super picky when it comes to movies.
Favorite TV shows is something I am a bit pickier about.  Doctor Who is obviously on the list, and I’ve watched and enjoyed most of the Marvel and DC live action stuff although I have a huge preference for the arrowverse and 70′s Wonder Woman.  Animated stuff tends to vary but a lot of the older stuff from the early and mid 90′s seems to be best for that.  Power Rangers is obviously on the list as well, along with The Walking Dead, Digimon, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Sherlock, Yugioh, Firefly, and off the top of my head that’s about it.  Everyone always assumes I’m huge into anime as well, but I’m not actually that into it.  Just not my thing.
Now video games has potential to be my longest list as it’s easily my favorite medium of story telling due to the interactivity.  First off, Nintendo and Playstation are my general consoles of choice.  Nothing against Xbox, I have a lot of respect for the brand but I can’t really afford to have three consoles (even though I wish I could) and Nintendo and Sony have more offerings for me personally.  I also do dabble on PC a bit, but I don’t really have a high end PC and it’s mostly just for Sims.  That being said, my favorite games and game series include Watch_Dogs, The Sims, Mario (mostly the “main series,” 3D games and 2D platformers but I do enjoy some of the off series stuff like Mario Kart and Mario Party as well) , Pokemon, Super Smash Brothers, The Force Unleashed series, Injustice, most of the Spider-Man games, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, most of the Batman games, Wario Ware, The Last of Us (still haven’t played the sequel yet.  Waiting to get it for cheap after seeing reviews), Days Gone, Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, No Man’s Sky, 51 Worldwide Classics for Switch, No Man’s Sky, the Tony Hawk Games (still haven’t played the new one yet), Time Splitters, The Movies, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Zombies Ate My Neighbhors, Kirby, The Legend of Korra game (the 3d one, not the really bad one for 3DS), Donkey Kong, Street Fighter 2, Punch Out, Metal Gear Solid 5 the Phantom Pain, Sonic Heroes, and the list could go on and on.
My favorite drink is root beer or chocolate milkshakes if that counts
My favorite alcoholic drink is probably just a basic screwdriver tbh
My favorite food is Cheeseburgers, although Chicken Pot Pie is also a top contender tbh
My favorite color is green
My favorite Doctor is Eleventh obviously, but Thirteen, Two and Twelve are tied for second
Favorite companions are Amy, River (if she counts), and Donna
Favorite New Who episode is The Eleventh Hour
Favorite Classic Who story is Genesis of the Daleks
Since I’ve mentioned super heroes a lot, my favorites are Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man, although Supergirl, Batgirl, Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow are also pretty high on the list.
Favorite game in the Pokemon series is X and Y
Dragonite is my favorite Pokemon
Favorite 3D Mario game is Odyssey although Sunshine would be next up on the list.
This is my only Tumblr RP blog.  I also have an ask meme blog and I used to have a personal but I haven’t logged onto it in years.
I’m on discord and I do add people from Tumblr on there, but I mostly only use it for Pokemon Go tbh
I spend every Wednesday and Sunday at the local comic book shop playing Yugioh
For anyone wondering in relation to that last fact, my current competitive deck Barrier Stun.  Some of my favorite casual decks that I play or have played in the past are Lightsworn, Blue-Eyes, E-Heroes, Greed, Sacred Beasts, Penguins and Six Samurai.
In the last decade I’ve moved about 3 times
I own pets!  I have one dog and one cat currently, but a few years back when we lived in a more country like setting, we owned 7 cats and 2 dogs at maximum.  Most of them died of old age over the last few years.
Before my current job I used to work at Walmart.  Long time followers of the blog may remember that I hated it there.
I don’t have a whole lot of writing experience outside of Tumblr tbh.  While I do enjoy writing on here, it’s the interactions itself that makes it fun for me and while I’ve tried to write a few things myself, it’s just not the same as roleplay.
Anyway, I just sort of wanted to do something different for munday besides just posting pictures of myself so I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it.  Here’s a pic of the mun to go with it.

Video Game Questionnaire
Was tagged by @insufficient-focus and @roguescarlett (on my main blog, but will do it here anyway XD)
Rules: Fill in your answers below and tag some buddies!
-Games-
First game you ever played: My memory is a bit hazy of exactly which game it was, but one of the first games I remember playing is Super Mario Bros.
Favorite game: Choosing a single game here is too tough. So will kinda list off a few of my favorites. Dragon Quest XI (and series), Star Wars Galaxies, KOTOR 1-2, SWTOR, Halo 2, Dark Souls 1 and 3, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker  Skyrim, and others...
Game you hated at first but now love: When I was younger I had a very love hate relationship with Dragon quest 8. When it came out I’d see my sister playing it and having a lot of fun. Anytime I’d try to play though I’d get super lost and was too unfocused to really pay attention to where to go. Now that I’m older and have a better attention span, I absolutely love the game.
Game you used to love but now hate:  I don’t think I really hate any game. I’ve been disappointed with a few games but they were never games I loved from the beginning anyway XD
Game with the best group/companion(s): There are so many good games with great companions. It may because I’ve played it more recently, but Dragon Quest XI has some of my favorite group companions.
A game with your favorite ending: In recent memory Dragon Quest XI and Red Dead Redemption 2. Out of all games though, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask might be one of my favorite endings to a game.
A game with the WORST ending: Mass Effect 3...
Best character customization?: I only played it for a short time but Black Desert Online had an insane character customization. For a single player though I have to agree with others Dragon Age Inquisition had some of the best char customization
-Hero and Companions-
Your favorite playable character:  I play so many games with silent protags lol. Think Arthur Morgan from RDR2 might be my favorite in recent memory though.
The funniest playable character: Probably the created characters in the Saints Row games
Your favorite companion(s): All the Dragon quest XI companions and most of the companions in the other Dragon Quest games XD.  In swtor: Blizz, T7, Torian, Shae, Lana, HK-51 and 55, and Zeeyo :D (Love me some good mandos!)
Companions you could live without: Always Skadge
-Relationships-
Favorite game friendship(s): Yangus from Dragon Quest 8, Dimitri from Fire Emblem: Three houses, and Regis from Witcher 3
Favorite companion banter:  I love all the banters in the Nomad and Mako driving sections in Mass Effect
A relationship you loved but went bad: I really don’t know.
A relationship you weren’t sure of but loved: Don’t know this one either lol
A character you wish you COULD romance: I don’t know... I would say Jessica Albert from Dragon Quest 8 but in recent remake you can technically marry her.. Although you don’t get to do much romance stuff in game
A minor character you wish could be a companion: Darth Marr would be awesome to have as a comp.
-Fun-
Shoutout to a random NPC: FIRE EMBLEM GATE WATCHER!
A game you love watching playthroughs for and want to play: Even though I played them a long time ago, seeing the achievement hunter guys play through the Halo games doing LASO really has got me back into wanting to play the games.
Love watching playthroughs but won’t ever play: 7 Days to Die and horror games like Resident Evil. I’ll watch people play those but playing those kind of games would give me too much anxiety lol.
Online gaming or solo?: I generally play mostly solo games, but do enjoy playing swtor and other games with friends.
Why do you play video games?: I love to immerse myself within the awesome stories that the games tell. Bonus when they can get me really emotionally invested in the story and characters. I mainly play games as a way to relax from all my anxieties and cheer myself up when feeling down. I’m still kinda new getting back into this blog so I don’t wanna bother people with tagging. Sooo... I tag YOU, whoever would like to do this XD

Name: Alien Bunnies
Debut: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!
Happy Easter! Yup, it’s the time of the year where families all around the globe gather to watch Illumination’s Hop (2012)! The day we celebrate the Easter Bunny, and her miraculous rebirth from a Cadbury Creme Egg (despite being a mammal)! If you celebrate it, I hope you have a good holiday! And if you don’t, well, I hope you have a good day regardless! It never hurts to wish someone a good day... buy yourself some chocolate, though. You deserve it.
Anyway! As I’m sure you’re very aware, this holiday was created in honor of rabbits, because everyone likes rabbits. I think we’re all so used to rabbits as the standard for cute fluffy animals, we forget they’re quite silly!
Japan, on the other hand, is having a great time putting rabbits in space and all that. I’ve talked about the whole Moon Rabbit story before, but to make a long story short, Japan sees the markings on the moon as a rabbit making mochi... so, naturally, rabbits tend to be associated with outer space in general now. Which leads to, for example, the Star Bunnies from Mario Galaxy, or the moon rabbits from Mario Odyssey. But I chose to talk about these guys today, because they’re a lot sillier.
Tumblr media
We first meet these funny fellas in the first Warioware for the GBA. In the events of Orbulon’s stage, Orbulon’s ship crashes into a meteor, and he sends a distress signal. These rabbits, which just happened to be passing by, decide to help, by pulling him out from his ship! And so they act as your life counter for the microgames. If you lose a life, one of them will just... fall into the void? Scary. Either way, they’re quite nice to be helping out like this!
Tumblr media
Or... not. After they go through all of the trouble of pulling Orbulon up to their ship, they suddenly decide to drop him back to his death. Why? Who knows! All he said was “Earthling, prepare to be dazzled by alien powers!”. Is he speaking to us? Are the rabbits the Earthlings? Do they not want to be dazzled? These guys are morally ambiguous, I’ll tell you what!
Tumblr media
In WarioWare Twisted, the bunnies appear as... Orbulon’s minions? When did this happen! I guess as revenge for their betrayal in the first game, Orbulon went and enslaved their people. He is an alien invader first and foremost, after all! Or they’ve always worked for him. Who can tell?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In WarioWare Touched, Mike is overpowered by his irresistible karaoke programming and decides to host an intergalactic karaoke competition on the Bunnies’ homeplanet! For some reason. As you can see, all their buildings are bunny-themed. But, if Mike is the only one doing the singing, is it really karaoke?
Really, these Bunnies have made cameos in a whole bunch of games! Like in WarioWare Gold, where they show up in the game’s tutorials, and lots of cameos I can’t be bothered to list here. But it’s not just WarioWare, either! These characters also make quite a few appearances in the Rhythm Heaven series, which has many of the same devs (including the wonderful character designer)! In fact, the artwork at the top of this post is actually from Rhythm Tengoku... I tricked you all!
I absolutely love Rhythm Heaven, but this post will get too lengthy if I talk about it here and now. So: more Alien Bunnies, under the cut!
Tumblr media
In Rhythm Tengoku, they make a few cameos in some remixes, like Remix 7 and 8, where they replace the soldiers from Marching Orders!
Tumblr media
In the second game’s Remix 2, you can almost see them in the moon if you squint really hard. Sorry, this is the highest quality pic I could get! And it’s 240p!
Tumblr media
Not only that, but they show up in the results screen for Remix 9, along with Play-Yan, and the little alien thing from Spaceball. Wow! It’s a real convention of great characters!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, they’ve got a pretty big appearance in the third and fourth game’s Working Dough 2, where they show up in the background, as well as the results screens! Since this minigame is all Japanese-themed, and features living mochi, it’s a pretty obvious nod to the whole myth. But wait... are these guys from the moon? I thought they lived on that bunny-themed planet! Hm... maybe it’s a colony of sorts? And who’s that tea guy?
Ah, well! Based on all this, I can only reach the conclusion that WarioWare and Rhythm Heaven take place in the same universe! Which means, Rhythm Heaven is legally part of the SMEU (Super Mario Extended Universe)! Sorry, that’s just how it works.
Tumblr media
We hope you’re looking forward to our next post, which will be about these things. See you next time!

Top 15 Games!
Tumblr media
I saw some people make this but with 20, I decided to do 15 but with the rule of using ONE PER SERIES to make it tougher and so I didn’t just fill it will KH games. This is in no particular order so I’ll just explain them all the way I have them.
Minecraft: I must have logged more hours into this game than any other, I would wake up just to play mods on the weekend, it’s just something to kind of pass the time or do just whatever with.
Tron 2.0: I’m a sucker for Tron and for them to have made an FPS genre about it with a great system to add buffs or powerups such as high jumping/silent walking. To have different weapons (A sniper called LOL I mean come on! How do you not adore that?!)
Daxter: May be a PSP title but worth the time, good world building, character, and spunk.
Super Mario Galaxy: Who are you if you don’t have Mario on your list, the question is which one? Mario Galaxy has an epic orchestral soundtrack that is one of the main reasons I got a Wii.
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando: Why this one? Why not-
Tumblr media
Oh...but in all honesty, it builds upon the first game and just has a better story in my opinion, yeah the 3rd one has neat weapons but this one stays close to me.
Spider-Man: Oh boy, Insomniac strikes again. This game plays magically. I love the acrobatic parkour fluent style of Spidey’s movement, I can tell how other players differ from me in their play style and it just overall has a ton of stuff to do.
Kingdom Hearts II: While I will say I like the speed of KH3, KH2 has a slight edge because of the story, the weight of your actions (keyblades, character movement, etc.) and it has not only a Lion King world but a Tron world!
Epic Mickey: While you can play as Oswald in the sequel and I really like that, this feels slightly more grounded with it’s narrative and originality, I like the dark sense it gives while also introducing one of my favorite characters of all time to me. OSWALD! Also paint, has a really cool paint thing.
Pokemon Platinum: While I love seeing Pokemon go to 3D, this game still remains my favorite in the series. Pokemon Diamond got me back into Pokemon but this game improved on that in almost every aspect...otherwise the Reverse World and Darkrai/Shaymin capabilities.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: I love playing handheld Zelda but there’s something that most of them just don’t get that the console ones do so when I got this game you can imagine it was the best of both worlds. Improving on the original OoT, while having it on the go just felt great, this was an adventure.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: You would think a long lost brother that was never mentioned would seem kind of cliche but they deliver it with style, the graphics are great and the gameplay is at it’s best. You can shoot a nerf gun, what can I say?
Chibi-Robo: Plug into Adventure: I’ve reviewed this on my blog before so I’ll just sum it up. It gives a nice sense of duty without feeling too pressured, yeah days go past but you never have to do anything in any certain order for the most part, you just do stuff at your own pace, in your own way and it really goes to show how much a character that doesn’t talk can later become your tumblr icon because he’s so cute and relatable.
Halo Reach: I played a good bit of the Halo franchise, with friends that is, I never had my own Xbox but the new collection is coming out on Steam, I’m so excited. This one in particular had the most memories for me, yeah Halo 4 did some cool stuff, so did 3 but this just for some reason strikes me as the best in the franchise and I feel like I’d have a lot of people back me up on that.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: I was going to give this to Control or Portal 2 because this game conflicted me but then I remembered...I may not have been the best fan of this game at first but I played it anyway and I had a gosh darn good time, I feel like this is more of a fun game than anything, even with Mankind Divided, I liked this one better, the way it’s set up with mini open worlds, cyberpunk ideas, potential for different augments, the feeling you get from the stealth, the feeling you get from going in guns blazing, it was just a good time.
Metal Gear Solid: I think the gameplay belongs to MGS5 but the story belongs here. I have to say, for a PS1 game, this is the cake. It has a remake on the Gamecube and it still doesn’t beat this, this is stylized, this is an experience. I didn’t play it until MG5 was already out and I still loved it with gameplay flaws and all, if it can age that well then it deserves it’s spot.
The next potential in this list is either Death Stranding or FFVII Remake

smash ultimate sesual headcanons (very dirty seriously don’t read if you’re a baby)
cloud is too busy to have sex but he’s probably into some weird-level shit like knifeplay or something
snake has a gear fetish
bowser is 99% dom top, but very subby in the event he does get fucked. would unintentionally be into k rool but they have bad chemistry they have to work thru first, and finds dedede super cute but won’t admit it. he’ll also happily stomp on any foot lover he meets. the only guy who gets to regularly top him is midbus imo so bowser’s thankful the pig’s not in smash so he can keep his tough guy cred looking strong.
giga bowser only tops and will likely kill you accidentally in the process but it was probably worth it
incineroar is dom top but i could see him powerbottoming maybe from time to time. biiiiiig bromance with k rool. has a wrestling fetish - you can’t just fuck, you need to fight first. his finishing move is sitting on his opponent’s face. reeeeeeeally wants you to sniff his pits.
captain falcon is obviously into fisting
wolf is obviously a switch and into many things, wears different colored bandannas (look up gay handkerchief code) for whatever his mood is that night. dom as hell whether topping or bottoming. expects you to deepthroat him like right off the bat. has a ton of kinks... going off his bandannas you could say he’s into dildos, nipple play, armpits, fisting and pee and don’t tell me he doesn’t know about the handkerchief code seriously just look at his outfit and tell me he ain’t the gayest guy in space
fox leans way more to bottoming and subbing, he'll only top someone like falco maybe (and not in a dommy way at all). and he's clearly in love with wolf anyway and doesn't really wanna fuck anyone else. would happily let wolf put a leash on him but would act persnickety about the whole thing just to make wolf annoyed and more aggressive
falco talks big but he's a huge sub and would only want to top for bragging rights or something i imagine. so tsundere that it's a running joke with the rest of the starfox cast. i can't remember if he has an ascot too... but i could imagine maybe wolf does it for gay coding but the other two just do it cuz they think it looks cool and maybe don't know what they mean. also idk if falco would have a dick since he’s a bird
lucario is obviously 100% bottom considering his aura mechanic is all about taking a beating.
mario, luigi and peach all want bowser. daisy secretly wants wart from subcon but since she doesn’t see him that often she will settle for luigi, where she's the one calling the shots
adult yoshis would definitely enjoy a night with bowser if they were sexual but they're pretty asexual in general
greninja loves being cloaca fucked by bigger brutish types more than anything
the fire emblem cast all have sex with grave seriousness and they participate in small-scale eugenics projects to try to keep the blue haired gene alive
meta knight is a very considerate and skilled lover but no one wants to fuck him because he's a small blob. gives the best ____lingus in the world but few will ever know
kirby doesn't fucc
i don’t want to think of isabelle fuccing and she’s too busy living a full life to bother imo
villager is celibate but super into furries in an sfw way
olimar always wondered what having sex with a pikmin would be like but he knows it's wrong so he won't try it
wii fit trainer likes bending into different positions, and is not dominative on purpose but just seems intimidating so everyone just lets them do whatever
dr mario has a fetish for giving prostate exams and anal pills. always wears a condom. he never removes the gloves except when showering
mewtwo will use shadow magic to jack your dick/clit off
little mac hooks up with wii fit trainer after a stretching routine
ridley is 100% top but likes ass play like rimming as long as he's not penetrated. his idea of foreplay is killing your parents tho so be careful
donkey kong is a switch top/bottom dom/sub, honestly really just depends on who wins the dominance battle as is the law of the jungle. bad at kissing but can be taught. very experimental and wild style of fucking. will let you sniff his pits but he won’t really get it. wants to touch k rool’s belly but doesn’t know why
bayonetta is a dominatrix, obviously
anyone who tried to go up into rosalina's galaxy within her skirt was never seen again
ganondorf is 100% brutal top and so is ganon, you're going to be in pain in some way if you're under him
dedede loves bigger badder guys than him who will push him around and tease him, 100% bottom sub and wants bowser and k rool to tag team him with lots of demeaning dirty talk. drools while eating. dream land is so cutesy and pure that he’s come to fantasize about the darker types of characters elsewhere. thinks it’s wrong and messed up to be a king and have such fantasies, but can’t stop himself. wants k rool to smack him again. will act like a jackass just to incite others to bully him.
rob likes the idea of getting people off but no one thinks to ask him about sexuality
k rool is a switch and a complete wildcard. you never know what you’re gonna get, considering he has so many personas. he also knows people are obsessed with his belly and he’s just as into it as you. he’ll even remove the gold armor for a softer experience. wants bowser to stomp on him. also wants to stomp on bowser. hates eating bananas but likes having them shoved into his body. probably has a ton of different kinky outfits in his closet. but he's really only obsessed with dk and wants to dom him. would also do it with funky and chunky kong but not be into it as much and would make them pretend to be donkey instead. has pictures of dk in his room. he and dk are at a constant battle of dominance and wits imo, like two looney tunes characters except trying to dom fuck instead of blow each other up. uses bananas and coconuts as subtext and wonders why nobody picks up on it
dracula gets overwhelmingly horny when he’s in his demon form for some reason
and charizard? obviously dom top but secretly likes to bottom sometimes, is sad because no one is brave enough to even ask to top him.
simon and richter just missionary under the blankets with the lights off usually.
ken loves his wife but she’ll let him jack off incineroar sometimes if she gets to watch
the other adult characters strike me as pretty vanilla except maybe wario is into farts or something

alright, you know what
about two weeks ago maybe by now, i made a post about how i’ve recently hit 200 followers and i’d like to do a q&a again, and even with a reblog from someone more ~*popular*~ than me, and multiple reblogs once a day for a few days by myself, i didn’t get a single fucking question. not one. earlier today i posted two pictures of myself where i felt pretty (i’ve since deleted them) and nobody i actually know of liked it and i got asked by a stranger who doesn’t even follow me if i had any nsfw pictures. i don’t get asks anymore, i don’t get shit. and that tells me that, you may be following me, but you aren’t connecting with me. and i feel that. i get on tumblr and i don’t feel like i’m friends with fucking anybody. and i did that. i know i did that. 9/10 times i let my fear of rejection and embarrassing myself overcome my desire to talk to people, so i don’t do it, or i let it fizzle out and we go our own ways and we don’t become friends. 1/10 times i actually function as a human being and make a connection or at least something that sticks a little.
so here, below the cut, is a comprehensive (loosely) list of things that i like, in no particular order at all, besides tickling, because apparently both sides of this need a little help connecting on any front.
scooby-doo
beetlejuice
the addams family
the sims
the mcu
classic disney animations; my favorites are dumbo, the great mouse detective, the rescuers, sleeping beauty, and oliver and company (it’s old enough that i consider it in the classic category)
~modern disney animations too; my favorites are treasure fucking planet, coco, and... i’m a sap, beauty and the beast. rise of the guardians too even though it isn’t disney.
musicals; i can’t pick a favorite just fucking ask me, but i don’t know a lot of newer ones honestly
empire records
the greatest showman still
cats (i mean the animals but i also like the show even though it is Weird As Hell)
my cat in particular
alice in wonderland
stranger things
space jam
tsum tsums
elvira, mistress of the dark
dice
kiki’s delivery service and specifically jiji things
winnie the pooh i don’t even fucking care i LOVE HIM AND ALL OF HIS FRIENDS
silly hats
playdoh
interesting earrings
exploring libraries or big bookstores
true crime mysteries; my favorite youtuber for this is georgia marie, bless her. i also watch bella fiori and kendall rae
fictional mysteries too
i have a kind of fascination with jack the ripper and with the lizzie borden case
shipwrecks! i don’t know why but shipwrecks fascinate me! why did they go down? all the stories that went with them!
i once read a novel that was told as a series of letters, or journal entries, by people on the titanic, including the iceberg and it was THE absolute saddest book i have ever read in my life. like, obviously i knew what was coming, but i got attached to the characters, the letters made them alive and it was just like... NO. NO I DON’T WANT THEM TO DIE. I KNOW THEY’RE GOING TO BUT THEY CAN’T. and it was awful. i had to put it down and cry.
cryptozoology
the bermuda triangle theories (i’m not saying i believe sOmEtHiNg’S gOiNg On but i think some of the theories are interesting)
ghosts
the nancy drew computer games
monopoly
i still play a lot of my snes games; my go-to time killer and head-clearer honestly is kirby’s avalanche. i also play a lot of super mario rpg legend of the seven stars, super mario world, kirby’s dreamland 3, and donkey kong 2 and 3
final fantasy x in which i’m guaranteed to call almost (i can’t stress that enough) every character at some point “my child”
hyrule warriors, i know it’s not a tRuE zelda game but it’s fucking fun
same with fire emblem warriors
red dead redemption
kingdom hearts
the uncharted series
splatoon but i don’t have it wahhhhh
mind you i am not very Good at videogames, i just like to play them anyway
game grumps
ninja sex party
jacksepticeye
markiplier
monty python
crocheting
tea
harry potter
classic rock. pretty big on queen lately. i like tom petty and the heartbreakers. i like joan jett and the blackhearts.
i just... like rock. across the board. i like the offspring. i like some rage against the machine songs. acdc on the radio makes me happy. def leppard on the radio makes me happy. beartooth, starset, powerman 5000, as long as it’s got a good beat and good stuff going on behind the vocals then i’m gonna be happy. i’m way more into the guitars and the bass and everything going on instrumentally than i am vocally, honestly. the whole big guitar solo to van halen’s “you really got me” and then that bassline that comes in, that bassline is sexy. it’s so simple but i LIKE it.
anyway music as a whole gets me right in the heart and can lift me up when i am at my literal worst point
it’s hard for me to name a favorite or specific bands that i like because there’s so many and i’m not really picky about it.
pop vinyls
good ol’ vines
buffalo wings
mac and cheese
grilled cheese
dr. pepper
i drink a l o t of dr. pepper
pretending i know how to do makeup well
history; i watch a lot of expedition unknown and mysteries at the museum, and sometimes i’ll watch a free documentary on youtube if it catches my attention. last weekend i explained the donner party to my boyfriend. just.. on a whim. because i’d just watched a thing on it and he said he didn’t really know what it was. i’m that person.
OH I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THIS BACK AROUND TRUE CRIME BUT I READ A BOOK ABOUT H.H. HOLMES AND HIS MURDER CASTLE AND THE CHICAGO WORLD’S FAIR. it was by erik larson, i believe. larsen? i could google this. devil in the white city. there’s been talks to make it a movie. it’s a good read though i will admit i skipped a lot of the fair parts because i was there for the murder.
i also read a book about the lusitania by the same author and i was like ohhh my goooood what. it got a little boring sometimes, i had to push myself to keep going, but i would read dead wake again.
csi: miami reruns are the greatest thing don’t @ me
dark purple and black aesthetics
just like... witchy aesthetics. those colors and black cats
if you haven’t noticed by any selfies i’ve posted, i do have my lip pierced and i love finding new lip jewelry. i have a new opal stud in and i love its look
leather jackets
combat boots; i have a galaxy print pair and a pair with classic marvel comics stuff printed on the inside and you can fold down the sides to show it. they’re my faves.
owls
drunk history
the first 5 seasons of supernatural and i still have a soft spot for the winchesters and castiel
i’m slowly making my way through watching the librarians
i’m also making my way slowly through watching the magicians
(american) football
nature walks
going to the zoo
going to the aquarium
like really take me to either of the above and i will lose my shit
road trips
savannah, georgia
the smokey mountains
last august i drove by myself from ohio to boone, north carolina for a friend’s wedding and that wedding was smack on a mountain top and it was the coolest thing i think i’ve ever done
roller coasters BUT NOT EXTREME ONES baby steps ok
log rides tho, i don’t know why, i always love the water rides
ren faires!
cosplay, even though i’m not exactly active in it myself (but i want to be; one of my offline friends is an actually-getting-kind-of-internet-famous mei from overwatch cosplayer)
cards against humanity
foosball
pool but i suck at it
speaking of pools i love swimming ... but i suck at it, i just like boppin’ along in a pool
cookouts
summer
there is nothing like being out in the middle of nowhere in summer when the evening starts to fall and the sky is dark, dark blue and there’s a sea of shimmering lightning bugs out over a field. it’s beautiful. it’s peaceful.
there’s nothing like sitting outside on a calm spring night and listening to the spring peepers (they’re frogs) either.
if you couldn’t tell, i live in the middle of nowhere. i have to find enjoyment in the little things.
campfires
dancing around said campfire, you cannot have a campfire without good music. this is when a lot of my classic rock education came to pass.
elephants
my favorite books are the abhorsen trilogy by garth nix, tied with the serpent’s shadow by mercedes lackey
i am trying to get into comic books by way of the youtube channel comicstorian. they break comic books down for you and read them aloud with the images, altered slightly to avoid copyright strikes (and that’s all made very clear, it’s not done sketchily), and it’s been really easy for someone like me who doesn’t just have a comics store close (and i would otherwise continue on as i have been, forgetting to ever look for them on the internet). i listened to injustice 1 and 2, and they covered the game. i’m actively following scooby apocalypse, and there was some teen titans stuff i went all the way through up until now. i don’t think it’s finished yet from what i remember.
i love museums
candles
i actually kind of collect tea sets
i also have a collection of sand art bottles AND IF I’M EVER AT A FESTIVAL OR A FAIR WHERE THERE IS A SAND ART STAND YOU CAN BET I AM GOING TO MAKE ONE
yugioh duels; i’m definitely just a novice and it’s just a fun pastime my friends got me into when they found their giant binders of cards again
i’m not actually that big on pokemon, i don’t know a lot of them but it’s still fun and i know some. but i did love pokemon go when my friends still played it (don’t really have time anymore, and it kept crashing way too badly on one of their phones anymore anytime they tried to join a raid and it just wasn’t fun as a group then)
i don’t have any but i like the ~look of crystals and would like to have some, not for my own aesthetic but i just... like having pretty things!
listening to the rain
how the air smells (at least where i live) after a long rain and everything is just cleansed
depression has stopped me from writing for a long time but, in my heart, writing has always been something that has touched me ever since i knew how to do it and could put my stories down on paper instead of having to just talk about them... so i’m going to include that here
root beer floats
hotdogs
hard dip ice cream (if you don’t know what hard dip means... as my boyfriend didn’t... it means ice cream that you have to use a scoop with, not soft serve)
soft serve’s good too tho don’t get me wrong
strawberry milkshakes
this isn’t even stuff that anyone would need to know on this site to befriend me at this point, nobody’s gonna message me like HEY I READ YOU LIKE STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKES ME FUCKING TOO
you’re cool if you do that lmao
so bad they’re good creature features from the 50s and 60s
the old godzilla movies
i like the moon more than the stars, but i like them too
flower crowns
bouncy balls
original skittles
this has gone on way too long, nobody is reading this, your mom’s a hoe, goodnight
no she’s not, i’m sorry, if you got this far then i hope your mom is a nice person

“Vidya Games” could actually be a funny pun if Sanskrit is considered
Right, well. A couple months into living in the NEW HOUSE, enjoying my NEW COMPUTER and also my brother is here and keeps BUYING ME GAMES, so let me talk a bit about the GAMES I have been PLAYING.
Hiveswap Friendsim
This is a visual novel being released episodically in between acts of the greater Hiveswap. There are five volumes right now. If any MSPA readers are here and haven’t already played it, then listen: You’re basically the Jailbreak guy, and the game is basically a longer and more thought-out Bard Quest, set in the (Side 1) Homestuck universe. The goal of the game is to make friends with everyone you run into. It’s good. Fucking good. Not only is it constantly hilarious, it tugs at your emotions at times in ways that are kinda hard to expect? And it seems to be one semi-consistent narrative, across all the volumes, which... is promising! If you know nothing about MSPA or Homestuck, it’s probably not a bad place to start. Volumes are only a dollar on Steam, and you’ll get pretty immersed in the worldbuilding. (I don’t want to talk about it much more because... well, I guess I might wait for it to be closer to something like “done.” But also, I would want to get very Homestuck if I were to talk about it, and for now I’d rather just talk video games.)
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Another visual novel, this one was back on the original Nintendo DS. You’re an ex-cop who is now a traveling salesman, and you stop at an isolate hotel for the night. All the guests have secrets, and something tells you you’re going to learn something new about the day your cop buddy betrayed you those many years ago. Now, I’d beaten this nearly 10 years ago. I remember loving every minute of it, and I vaguely remember some of the plot reveals. But it was cheap at my local game store, so I’m playing through it again. Wanted to mention it because... it is a wonderful game, great for anyone who has a DS and can find the thing. It’s a 3D adventure! With a lot of text. And some puzzles.
Professor Layton and the Lost Future PUZZLES. JUST PUZZLES. Also a plot that I’m.. still getting through! I beat the first two also nearly 10 years ago, decided to finally get around to the last one in the original trilogy. I remember the first two’s puzzles often gave me great difficulty, but uh. I’m kinda breezing through this one! I am nearly 10 years older, I mean, so that does make sense. And I know a lot more about how puzzles are crafted. (the story is a little silly. the first two’s stories were also a little silly. it’s nice. I really hate the voice direction, though, and how SLOW AND CAREFUL EVERYONE SPEAKS. .....it’s for a younger audience than I am.)
Earthbound Chances are, if I need to explain anything about this game to you, I’m not the one you should be asking. There are plenty of smart articulate people on the internet who would be more than happy to introduce it to a new audience. I grew up knowing about and, uh, emulating this game, but one of the things Adam got me first was a Super Nintendo mini classic thing, and that comes with a legit (legal) copy of Earthbound on it. So I’ve been playing through the game. This is also the first time I’ve, um... gotten past the Third Strongest Moles without, um... using cheats for... level-ups. <__<;; SO. I’m kinda still on what I guess is my First Ever Earthbound Playthrough. Haven’t played it in a while, because as I’ve said, Adam keeps buying me more games, and every one of them interests me in some way. BUT I CAN REMEMBER, from my playthrough:
- I named Ness “Quinn.” Paula is “Issy.” Jeff is “Dolph.” Poo is “Kev.” Dog is “Karkat.” Favourite food is “S[hepherd’s] Pie.” Favourite thing is “Love.” - I have already had a CLOSE SAVE, finishing a battle right before my HP rolled down to zero. - My mum has been watching off-and-on. She laughed when someone ran into the Onett library bathroom, or.. wherever that was. Whenever the photo guy leaves, she wonders why he hasn’t yet given us any of the photos he’s taken. - Mondo Mole gave me the most trouble, not counting ALL THE FUCKING ENEMIES IN THE THIRD STRONGEST MOLE CAVES.
Anyway, that’s all the games I feel like talking about right this minute. Let me give you a list of all the other games I’ve been playing.
THE BIG ONES, I (ALREADY, OR WILL) HAVE A LOT TO SAY ABOUT:
YUME NIKKI - DREAM DIARY - Proteus Metal Gear Solid 5 (the really big one!!!) Fallout 4 Black Mesa A Hat in Time Life is Strange Mass Effect: Andromeda
THE OTHER ONES. WILL TALK ABOUT IN PAIRS:
Super Mario World + Galaxy + 3D Land (the MIGHTY MARIO TRIAD) Sonic and the Secret Rings + Sonic 4 (the NAUGHTY SONIC CORNER) Super Metroid + Super Smash Bros for 3DS (the.. uh.. SAMUS GAMES?) Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath + Psychonauts (the WEIRD EARLY 3D PLATFORMER DUO) Bioshock: Remastered + NaissanceE (the FIRST-PERSON UNLIKELY LADS) Slender: The Arrival + Layers of Fear (the SCARED JORDAN PAIR) Euro Truck Simulator 2 + Universe Sandbox 2 (the SIMULATORS) Left 4 Dead 2 + Evolve (the rare event: JORDAN ENJOYS MULTIPLAYER)
Which ones sound most interesting? <3

The Best Nintendo Switch Controller Review
The Pro Controller is fine.
I still recommend it to most people
but if you play a lot of 2D games that the D-Pad placement
just isn't gonna cut it. 8BitDo is been making
fantastic Deepak controllers for a while now.
I originally recommended the old SN30
if you wanted to play a lot of 2D games.
Its biggest flaw was it's ergonomics, making it hard to play
3D games with its thumb sticks.
They fixed that with the release of the SN30 Pro+
a near-perfect controller that quickly became
my favorite controller for the Switch.
I used it so much that I ran it into the ground
and had to buy a new one recently. Almost two years later,
they finally released an updated version,
simply called the 8BitDo Pro 2.
Thank God that name was starting to be a mouthful.
This version adds a lot
to the already fantastic Pro Controller alternative.
If you are on the fence about getting one before,
this one will for sure give you
a couple of pretty good reasons to reconsider.
(upbeat music)
This video is sponsored by Aspyr, the guys who brought you,
the Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy Switch ports
are now bringing you Star Wars Republic Commando.
It's finally on Nintendo Switch
and PlayStation 4 for just 1499.
Check it out at the link in the description below.
Whoa! Whoa! Come on, dude.
Chaos has erupted throughout the galaxy.
As leader of an elite squad of Republic Commandos,
your mission is to infiltrate, dominate,
and ultimately annihilate the enemy. You will play as Boss,
leader of the special ops unit Delta Squad
together with Fixer, Scorch and Sev
working together as a team
instinctively, intelligently, instantly. You guys all right.
I was here first and then you guys just came.
Battle a variety of highly intelligent and deadly enemies
from brutal Trandoshan mercenaries, all right.
To the flying insectoid warriors of Geonosis.
This game was originally released in 2005
and I think is a crucial part of Star Wars history.
I love this era of Star Wars games and I love that Aspyr
is putting some games from this era on the Switch.
So again, you can try it for yourself for just 1499
at the link in the description below.
(water bubbling)
Sorry anybody got a USB-C charger.
(water bubbling).
So if you're new here
the biggest reason why I recommend this controller
is because of the D-pad. It's perfectly clicky.
It feels almost exactly like an original S.N.E.S controller
but you know, newer obviously. But it also has
all of the makings of a great modern controller.
It's thumb sticks feel almost exactly
like a DualShock 4 thumb sticks, making this a great option
for 3D games if you need something that could do both.
Here's something I often forget to mention.
It comes with a rechargeable battery, but it can be removed
and replaced with two double A's if you're in a bind,
something Microsoft should take note of.
It also has great motion controls and rumble.
The only thing that it's missing
that the Nintendo Pro Controller has is NFC.
But at the significantly lower price point,
are you really gonna be missing NFC that much?
The original SN30 Pro+ was and still is $45.
This new one bumps the price up to $50,
which is still a reasonable price
and some harsh competition for Nintendo's $70 controller.
It also works on Switch, Windows, Mac, Android,
and Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth, which is great
if you wanna play emulators or 2D games via Steam.
It's an all-around great controller
and I haven't even mentioned any of the new features yet.
Everything that I've said is also available
on the older $45 model.
The Pro 2 Sports 2 assignable back buttons.
This is a very welcome addition
and something I wish more controllers included.
My only gripe here is that
they're a little too easy to press. They're very large.
It's very difficult to grip the controller
without touching these buttons with your middle fingers.
In an intense game of Mario Maker
I accidentally press these buttons many times.
Luckily, by default they're assigned to nothing.
So pressing them did nothing at all.
You can assign functions to these buttons
using the brand new 8BitDo companion app.
In fact, you can remap all of the buttons
using the companion app.
And there are three different assignable profiles
that you can swap between on the fly.
Technically there's four because
there's just a baseline default one which is great
for when you don't wanna accidentally hit the back buttons.
Pressing this button right here switches between the modes.
There's off one, two and three.
In addition to remapping the buttons,
this software also allows you to fix the sticks dead zones.
It's also supposed to let you fix the trigger sensitivity,
but I couldn't figure out how to do that in the app.
I can only figure out how to do that on the desktop version.
But I like having my trigger sensitivity set really high
so they're like hair triggers because almost no Switch games
registered trigger sensitivity anyway.
Upon further review it seems that they disabled
the trigger sensitivity tab for the Switch.
So they got rid of trigger sensitivity
entirely for the Switch which is weird
'cause there are games that could still use it.
But if you go to Android or DInput or whatever,
it shows the trigger sensitivity, which is very strange.
You can also adjust vibration levels and of course,
macros, which go great with the new additional back buttons.
Previously, I used to assign macros to the share button.
Now I don't have to, unfortunately, the macro functionality
still, isn't very intuitive. You have to program it yourself
in the app, one button at a time. You can set the timings
between button presses but that's way harder to do
than just inputting a macro yourself on the controller
and having it record your inputs.
Something I've seen in a few other devices lately.
I hope that 8BitDo can eventually update
the Ultimate software and the Pro 2's firmware
to have this sort of functionality.
Because right now the macro function is pretty much
all only useful for like fighting games.
They did add the ability
to use thumb stick inputs for macros.
So if you have more patience than me
you can figure out some macros for Smash Brothers.
What might be more useful is assigning a turbo button
which is useful for many games, namely Animal Crossing.
I have a whole video on that if you're interested.
The old Pro+ had a turbo function but with this new Pro 2,
it might be worth it to assign one of the back buttons
to enable the turbo function. You can also have
the other back button assigned to hold.
So it will hold down a button forever.
So you can breeze through long menus or something.
Another useful feature that was recently added.
You can set the left stick to be swapped with the D-pad.
This is useful for games like Link's Awakening,
which should have D-pad support, but it doesn't.
There's also an option
to swap the right stick with the triggers.
I think that's some fighting games.
But my favorite part about this new mobile app
is that it allows you to change your settings on the fly.
You don't have to disconnect it from your Switch at all.
You can have it connected to your Switch
and the app at the same time.
This is something that you could not do
with the previous desktop app. This is huge for figuring out
the timing of macros or finding out the right button mapping
for yourself and immediately trying it out in the field.
One of my least favorite things
about wireless controllers like this
is connecting it to the Switch.
I often find myself just (indistinct) the button
till it finally comes up.
This controller alleviates some of that pain
by adding a mode switch on the back.
On the previous Pro+ you had to hold Start and Y
to enter switch mode. Windows, Android, and iOS,
all had different corresponding face buttons.
You expect me to remember all those.
There was also no indication
what mode you were currently in.
Now it's as easy as just flipping the switch.
You have Nintendo Switch, Apple DInput and XInput.
XInput is for Windows and Android.
DInput is for like old. I don't know it's
just probably don't worry about it. Other than all that
the only other real difference is it's enhanced grip
which is really just a textured back
similar to the textured back
of the new DualSense controller.
Other than that, this controller feels exactly the same
as the old SN30 Pro+ controller.
Switching between the two reveals that the face buttons
feel more responsive on the newer one.
Maybe it's because it's newer
and I used the shit out of my old one.
It's hard to tell.
- Oh no. - Hit the button, dude.
I think this controller.
(upbeat game music)
You know, I'll try, I'll try the top ones.
The buttons, the build quality, everything feels the same.
The Pro 2 comes in gray, black and GB edition.
I pre-ordered myself the Game Boy looking one
so I'll be getting that one when it eventually comes out.
But 8BitDo sent me their gray edition one, which looks like
it's attempting to resemble a PlayStation 1 controller.
It's an okay design. The A, B, X, Y buttons
colored like PlayStation buttons is like unsettling.
It's like a sin. The strongest design that they have
is definitely the Game Boy looking at one.
8BitDo used to have controllers that looked almost exactly
like Super Nintendo and N.E.S controllers,
but I'm sure they strayed away from that
so that they weren't bullied by Nintendo's lawyers.
It's also probably why they don't have
a Super Nintendo looking one at all anymore.
But I mean, the feel of the controller
is more important than anything else. And for 2D games,
there's nothing better than this,
until you find your Lord and Savior keyboard keys baby.
So if you haven't yet picked yourself up a 8BitDo controller
now might be the time to make the jump.
$5 extra for the back buttons,
the updated Ultimate software, the mode switch,
the custom profiles that can switch on the fly.
Yeah, I'd say it's worth it to get this version
over the original or Pro. Now is it worth upgrading to
if you already have an original SN30 Pro+.
That I'm not sure about.
Maybe if yours is starting to feel like shitty.
I know mine started to feel like
a little unresponsive, I guess.
I don't know how to describe it other than
it just got shitty and then I had to buy a new one.
But if you're perfectly content with your original SN30 Pro+
then it's probably not worth dropping an extra $50
on a brand new controller. It's like 90% the same controller
and about 10% new hotness. Or maybe I'm sure
you could find a way to justify it.
Maybe you could teach your grandma how to do Kaizo Mario.
What do you guys think about the brand new 8BitDo Pro 2?
It's a lot easier to say at this time.
Is this gonna make you finally make the jump
into getting an 8BitDo controller? Or it's something that
you would consider upgrading to from the original?
I don't think you really need to
unless like yours got like old crappy.
If you have a Nintendo Switch Pro controller already,
and you find yourself playing way more 2D games
this might be worth getting in addition to.
I mean it's like a second,
you get a second player with it to.
Leave in the comments below, add me on Twitter
and all this social media garbage.
As always we have new videos here all the time,
at least once a week.
This week, I think you're getting two, lucky you.
And we got streams over on twitch.tv/wulffden
where we can hang out and chat with each other
about stuff like this. Look at that.
Make sure you turn on notifications for all of that stuff
so you know, when we go live
'cause you can't rely on YouTube or Twitch to tell you.
But of course the most important thing right now
is just subscribe. Thank you.
I appreciate you for wanting to watch these videos.
And share this video with a friend.
A friend who maybe hasn't gotten
one of these controllers yet and it's still stuck
with the freaking regular role Pro controller.
Or maybe they're using the freaking split Joy-Cons
like a real, degenerate.
(gentle music)
Thank you. Have a good week.

Games I played in 2017
*wall of text alert*
· Bakumatsu Rock Ultra Soul (VITA) It was an okay visual novel with likable characters and low-key humor. Not the best choice if you’re looking for a good rhythm game, though.
· Bioshock (PC) The story was kind of weak, especially the ending. But the surprises in store were totally worth experiencing.
· Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (IOS) I know a lot of fans dislike this one, but it was my favorite of the series so far o_o I loved how everything came together in the end, and it made me really like Naruhodo as a character. Plus, I didn’t think the leaps of logic were that bad compared to the previous games.
· Dropsy (PC) It was enjoyable at first. But then the puzzles got really obtuse and that ending was just bizarre.
· Dragon Quest Builders (VITA) It got pretty challenging but it was also really fun! · Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (VITA) Ugh... I guess I did enjoy the puzzle-solving parts, although it would be better if the game didn’t give you hints right away. But the ending didn’t really make sense, and also I was just appalled by how the game treated its female characters :( · The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC Evolution (VITA) This is not only my favorite game that I played this year, but my favorite game of ALL TIME. The story was engaging, the music and sound effects were great, and the characters were very likable- especially Joshua <3 But most of all, the turn-based combat was just unbelievably, ridiculously fun. Will definitely play the sequel someday!
· Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX (3DS) Now THIS is a good rhythm game. I’ve never been drawn to the aesthetics of the regular Miku games, but I can definitely get down with this adorable nendroid style! :3 I’m also glad this game introduced me to a lot of good vocaloid songs.
· Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (VITA) I was enjoying this game quite a bit- the beat-em-up style gameplay was great for stress relief lol. But unfortunately all the bosses at the end took the fun out of it, especially since you need to beat them multiple times. Also, I am NOT a fan of the ending.
· Persona 4 Dancing All Night (VITA) Another good rhythm game, while simultaneously being a good visual novel. It was so nice to revisit these characters and re-witness their friendship :)
· Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) My friend forced me to play this game since I finally got a 3DS. I enjoyed it for about two months before deciding that was enough. Good, peaceful times.
· Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) I know this game is pretty much worshipped, but I’m so bad at platformers that I found it frustrating rather than fun. I’m proud of myself for finishing it despite the many rage-quits, though.
· Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS4) I was really looking forward to this one, but it has nothing but flaws. The combat is mostly button mashing. The camera sucks. It’s super annoying that the enemies keep respawning because you can’t open chests, activate trinities or even change your inventory when they’re around. The story isn’t that good. I’m not even sure if I like the main characters. But still... I can’t hate this game. The power of friendship and the determination to do the right thing showcased by Sora, Goofy and (sometimes) Donald are just too pure. Oh, and BEAST’S LOVE FOR BELLE IS NEXT LEVEL. Basically, the game’s only redeeming quality is its theme, but somehow that’s enough. I guess I’m just a sucker for this stuff :P
· Rhythm Heaven (Wii) It was fun. Nothing much to add. The songs with lyrics are fun to sing at karaoke lol.
Otome games I played in 2017
· Snow Bound Land (PSP) I understand how some people might find this game boring. It’s definitely slow-paced and fairy-tale-esque, but overall I thought it was a nice and enjoyable story. My favorite character was Craes the cutie :3
· Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk (VITA) I hated this game. In fact, I still hate this game. Which is a shame because Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly is my favorite otome game of all time, alongside Amnesia. But this game doesn’t understand the fact that you can’t do whatever you want just because your genre is fantasy. YOU STILL HAVE TO ADHERE TO THE RULES WITHIN YOUR FICTIONAL WORLD. Like, in the ‘true ending’ a character solves this huge problem, but the game doesn’t tell you how he solved it? We’re just supposed to focus on the fact that it was solved and be satisfied because it’s a happy ending? There are so many instances of this, and I’ve never been so insulted as a gamer. Just thinking about this game makes my blood boil. Don’t write fantasy if you can’t world build and then see that world through.
· Amnesia Crowd (VITA) A much more satisfactory fandisc than Amnesia Later. I liked the cute, comical vignettes and the CGs were especially beautiful.
· Abunai Koi no Sousashitsu (PSP) This game should have stayed a mobile game lol. I was actually impressed because the male characters were surprisingly unique and not cliche, but the overall quality was just pitiful, and the storylines weren’t fun to follow. Ogasawara and Kenji are hella cute, though.
· Moshi, Kono Sekai ni Kamisama ga Iru to Suru naraba (VITA) Wow this game is shockingly dark. I enjoyed it as a horror game, but don’t go in expecting a dating sim. I ended up not really liking any of the male characters anyway. On the plus side, I’m interested in Japanese mythology now.
· Beast Master and Prince ~Flower and Snow~ (VITA) Another fandisc. I’m sure I enjoyed it at the time, but it was pretty forgettable.
· Tokyo Yamanote Boys (PSP) This game was a drag. It wasn’t necessarily awful but it wasn’t fun either. They should have made it a full-on comedy game instead of trying to have a serious plot with these ridiculous characters. (Remember: never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing.) Surprisingly, my favorites ended up being Takumi and Yuuto. Tetsu was the most my type but his route was way too boring :< I’m just glad I got the PSP games for cheap instead of buying the new Vita version.
Mobile games I enjoyed throughout 2017
· Fire Emblem Heroes I’ve never played Fire Emblem before, but now I definitely want to try it, thanks to this mobage. The gameplay is really fun, and it’s also pretty generous with gacha tickets. I wanted to get Marth because his voice actor is Midorikawa-san, and I finally got him after months :D Before that I was maining Chrom, who’s voiced by Sugita-san. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that both of these characters are quite prominent in the series, because again, I had no idea lol.
· Stand My Heroes It’s mostly an otome game, but the puzzle gameplay is solid. I always skip the story so I don’t know any of the characters’ names, but my favorite is the one voiced by Kakihara-san :)

This is gonna be a long one about the Mario Timeline...
Spoilers for a large number of the games in the series, mostly for the ones that I’ve played.
So to start, I need to establish two things. First, the Paper universe is separate from the rest of the games (Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam), and I’ve only played the first one. (I really need to beat it...). Second, it get’s really hard to accurately place the timing of the Super Mario series, as well as their relation of the other RPG Mario series, so there are a few headcanons, clearly marked as such, and a lot of is is by release date, which is fun.
I realize I get more sarcastic as I get along, I wasn’t expecting the list to get this long, because kept on adding more games.
Okay with that settled let’s get to the games.
Baby Luigi is kidnapped and the stork is captured by Kamek and his cronies. Baby Mario and the Yoshi’s rescue them both and beat up Baby Bowser (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island)
The Stork delivers the bros to the wrong house, and while fixing that mistake, Baby Luigi is kidnapped and the stork is captured by Kamek and his cronies. Baby Mario and the Yoshi’s rescue them both and beat up Baby Bowser, fucking Bowser comes back in time to fuck with shit, and the Adult Mario also comes back in time to help by giving you that powerup that is literally just a “you suck at this level, don’t ya”, while disguised as a pipe. (Yoshi’s New Island, which is fun. I beat the whole thing in one sitting the day I got it)
Future Kamek and his cronies kidnap all the babies so Bowser can get the star babies. Magic powers or something. Baby Mario and Baby Peach are rescued by the stork and the Yoshi’s rescue everyone, yay! (Yoshi’s Island DS, my first Yoshi’s Island game.)
The shroobs take over Mushroom Kingdom. Time is fucked because Peach wanted to ride in Professor E.Gadd’s Time Machine. The Adult Bros team up with their now toddler selves, and proceed to nearly ruin the Mushroom Kingdom. Nearly. Also E.Gadd stopped studying Thwomps after his lab is destroyed, and moves to Boo Woods in Evershade Valley to study ghosts. (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon)
The adult Mario and Luigi move to the Metro Kingdom and do construction work (Wreaking Crew. Also Super Mario Odyssey. It’s a headcanon)
Pauline is kidnapped by Donkey Kong Sr., who latter ages poorly and goes by Cranky Kong nowadays. Mario rescues her but she loses her purse. (Donkey Kong, Super Mario Odyssey)
Mario and Pauline date, but it doesn’t work out and they have an amicable break up and stay friends (Mostly headcanon, Super Mario Odyssey)
Mario and Luigi do plumbing instead. While working, they get attacked by various creatures, including Koopas and Spinys. (Mario Bros., as well as headcanon, though Mariowiki lists an interview confirming that this game takes place in New York, so also Super Mario Odyssey)
Mario and Luigi move back to the Mushroom Kingdom. (No game here, but not really a head canon either.)
Princess Peach as well as a few Toads are kidnapped by Bowser, and the rest have been magically transformed into Question Mark blocks. Mario and Luigi go and rescue them all. A number of Toads are inspired by their bravery and proceed to do as much as they can to help them in the future, including one group becoming the Toad Brigade, led by Captain Toad.(Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy. Headcanon includes Toad Houses in all of the games that have them)
Bowser, not undeterred by his earlier defeat at the hands of the plumbers, kidnaps Peach again and puts more challenges in their way. They beat him anyway. (Super Mario Bros 2 JPN)
Mario has a trippy dream. (Super Mario Bros 2 USA)
Goddamn it, Bowser. This time not only does he kidnap Peach, he enlists the Koopalings to steal the magic wands from the smaller states within the Mushroom Kingdom and transform their rulers into various creatures. He ends up effectively defeating himself, because building a death pit covered by blocks you can destroy is a smart idea (Super Mario Bros 3, my favorite)
Princess Peach hears news that the ruler of the neighbouring kingdom, Sarasaland, Princess Daisy, was kidnapped by space monster Tatanga. Mario goes on his merry way to rescue her. (Super Mario Land)
Wario takes over a castle that Mario had, for some reason, while he was rescuing Daisy. Do I really have to include this game, it doesn’t fit any more, even if it is fun. (Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins)
Bowser, who had laid low on Dinosaur Island in the Cascade Kingdom, traps the Yoshis in eggs and kidnaps Peach again, putting the Koopalings in charge of keeping Mario away. We all know what happens. (Super Mario World, headcanon on the location of Dinosaur Island based on Super Mario Odyssey. You can’t tell me that the skeleton in Fossil Falls isn’t a giant Reznor)
Bowser and the Koopalings open  hotels and kidnap Peach (Hotel Mario)
Bowser kidnaps Peach, but gets thwarted, not by Mario (though he did give a good trouncing), but a giant sword. I didn’t beat this game, but robots happen apparently. (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)
Bowser kidnaps Peach in 3-D!!!!! Mario defeats Bowser after building speed for 12 5 hours and many parallel universes. (Super Mario 64, I love Pannenkoek’s videos. Did you know there’s are a number of faster routes now for the A Button Challenge?)
Paper Bowser has stolen the Star Rod, and seals the Star Spirits into cards, then, you guessed it, kidnaps Peach. Paper Mario fixes everything, but he’s overprotective, so he doesn’t let Paper Luigi help him. (Paper Mario 64)
E.Gadd at this point had captured a large portion of the Boos and Ghosts in the Gloomy Mansion, including Boolossus, a very loyal servant to King Boo. King Boo, in revenge, attack and frees all of the captured ghosts and Boos, and decides to trap all of his enemies, including the Mario Bros., who are on his hit list for some reason, into paintings. (Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon)
Luigi finds the letter saying he won a mansion in the mail. Ecstatic, he tells Mario to meet him there. They don’t meet. Mario is trapped into a painting, and Luigi almost is himself if E.Gadd hadn’t come to the rescue. Luigi saves Mario, everyone’s happy. (Luigi’s Mansion)
Mario accompanies Princess Peach on her vacation to Isle Delfino. Luigi stays home because the mansion was enough excitement for now. Bowser Jr fucks shit up and kidnaps Peach, to impress Bowser. Mario saves the day in the end. (Super Mario Sunshine, which emulates poorly)
Prince Peasley from the neighboring Beanbean Kingdom warns Princess Peach that Cackletta was after her voice. Cackletta and Fawful steal a Birdo disguised as Peach’s voice, though Peach ends up getting kidnapped. Then not kidnapped through a stunt that people love to draw, Luigi crossdressing (and a fine one too). Stuff happens, Bowser get’s possessed. (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga)
A toy company using Mario’s image creates a new line of Mini Mario’s. Donkey Kong really wants them, but they have sold out, so he robs a store. Mario was in the area and stops him, though it turns out Donkey Kong had dropped all of the toys. Enraged, Donkey Kong grabs the toads running the store and climbs to the top of the building. Mario rescues them, and in the process, knock Donkey Kong off the building onto a truck delivering the next shipment. He tries to steal those, but fails miserably. Donkey Kong is sad that he failed, but Mario gives him a free Mini Mario to cheer him up. (Mario vs Donkey Kong, which I sadly can not find a copy of.)
Paper Mario goes on an adventure. Paper Peach is kidnapped by an evil oganization trying to summon a shadow demon, and Paper Bowser just... messes around I guess. (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)
Bowser kidnaps Peach again, sending a letter of invitation in her name to the Mario Bros and Wario for some cake. They also get captured. Yoshi rescues Mario, who rescues Luigi, who rescues Wario. They do stuff, and Mario beats Bowser, because Bowser asked nicely to fight him. (Super Mario 64 DS)
Bowser, irritated with all of his losses at the hands of the Mario bros gets his hands on the Vibe Scepter, which can manipulate the emotions of everyone in it’s vicinity. He kidnaps just about everyone but Peach. Peach, armed with Perry the umbrella that used to be a human or something and really abusable mood swings, fight Bowser. (Super Princess Peach)
E.Gadd reveals the Time Machine he’s been working on. Princess Peach travels back in time and accidentally messed a lot of things up.
Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser Jr while on a walk with Mario. She gets rescued, and Bowser temporarily becomes Dry Bowser. (New Super Mario Bros.)
Mario and Luigi Go to collect coins. Princess Peach is kidnapped by the Koopalings. Rinse and repeat. (New Super Mario Bros. 2)
A Mini Mario amusement park is opened in New Donk City, and both Mayor Pauline and Mario have come to see the opening. Donkey Kong attempts to woo Pauline with a Mini Donkey Kong at the same time that Mario offers her a Mini Mario. Pauline takes the Mini Mario and the heartbroken Donkey Kong grabs her and rides the elevator to the top of the building, taking presents along the way. Mario saves the day using the Mini Marios and everybody is happy. (Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, headcanon involving Super Mario Odyssey)
Paper Mario and the rest of the crew go on an adventure in Parallel dimensions to stop the multiverse from getting fucked. (Super Paper Mario)
Bowser hasn’t done much in a while, so he fucking kidnaps Peach during the Star Festival by lifting her castle into fucking space. Mario also get’s launched into space. The Toad Brigade give Luigi a lift as they travel through space to help Mario, though Luigi get’s lost somehow and the Brigade get stranded on Honeyhive Galaxy. Anyway, an adventure happens, a Luma throws itself into a Blackhole the Bowser had created in his new galaxy, and everybody is happy. (Super Mario Galaxy)
The Mushroom Kingdom gets two Star Festivals as Rosalina had passed close by a second time during the events of the first game. Bowser, nor to be out done by a double festival, proceeds to double kidnap Peach. Yeah... (Super Mario Galaxy 2, also personal headcanon, because there’s no way this game is 100 years after the previous one.)
Archivist Toadette finds pieces of the Dark Moon in Evershade Valley and gives them to E.Gadd to study. He later finds the rest of the pieces and the restored Dark Moon pacifies the ghosts. (This is 100% headcanon.)
Bowser ends up inhaling everyone in Peach’s Castle as well as a bunch of stuff found around the Mushroom Kingdom because of a Vacuumshroom given to him by Fawful. Some random stuff happens, including Bowser turning into a giant whenever he is basically almost dead, and a ball of Dark matter being the final villain. (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. Also, because of Tumblr, I can’t play this game any more without thinking of fucking fetishes. Good Job.)
The Koopalings and Bowser Jr kidnap Peach at her birthday party. Mario and Luigi go to rescue her after the initial shock of the incident wears off, though not before two very brave Toads ask to join them. The rest proceeds fairly normally, and Princess Peach is rescued. (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
E.Gadd sells the King Boo Portrait at a garage sale. (Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon)
Bowser kidnaps Peach and knocks all of the leaves off the famous Tanooki Leaf Tree that looks like it has a tail. Mario saves the day and every gets a tail. (Super Mario 3D Land. You can find that same tree in Odyssey.)
Paper Bowser becomes really powerful because he gets a sticker stuck on him. Using this power, he beats Paper Mario, kidnaps Paper Peach, and sticks a bunch of toads to the wall for the hell of it. Paper Bowser plays with tape, and we all know how this ends. (Paper Mario: Sticker Star)
Captain Toad goes on an adventure to collect Green Stars and rescue Archivist Toadette. After rescuing her, he sees a green star fall into the clear pipe to the Sprixie Kingdom.
Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a Toad are enjoying a festival until they find a clear pipe. After repairing it, a Sprixie Princess exits, telling of Bowser capturing the other princesses before being captured herself. The crew follow, and everybody gets a cat suit. (Super Mario 3D World)
King Boo puts his plan into place, shattering the Dark Moon and hiding the pieces. Fortunately, Luigi is summoned by E.Gadd and with the help of the Polterguist 5000, collects pieces of the Dark Moon. Turns out Mario was turned into a painting, as well as the Toads that aid E.Gadd in his research. Luigi defeats King Boo again, Mario is saved and the Dark Moon is restored. (Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon)
Luigi has narcolepsy. Bowser and Antasma team up to steal the Dream stone and grant their wishes. A much needed ego boost is given to Luigi. (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, which is fun.)
DK kidnaps Pauline for literally no reason. Mario uses toys to save her. (Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars)
Luigi drops a book and unleashes the Paper universe. Paper Bowser and Bowser team up and kidnap both Paper Peach and Peach. Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario also team up and save the day. While they were gone, Shy guys drink paint or something. (Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Paper Mario: Color Splash)
Paper Mario paints stuff that the Shy Guys drank, I guess. (Paper Mario: Color Splash)
Bowser kidnaps Peach so he can marry her, and steals stuff for his wedding. Mario and Cappy get stylish. And this damn game is beautiful. (Super Mario Odyssey)
That’s the whole series, not really including the Wario games, or the Yoshi games, as well as the various spinoffs like Mario Party and the like. But other than that, if it has Mario in it, it was included.

VIDEO GAMES 2017: ONE MILLION GAMES ENTER, TEN GAMES LEAVE.
Well that sure was the best year in video games since probably 1998, wasn’t it? Nintendo put out a new console and 3 major franchise entries, basically every anticipated game of the early 10′s finally frickin’ came out, we got 4 new English Falcom games, 3 of which with good locs, and they made a new Nier? What???
What a time to be alive.
Let’s not waste any time getting to the list, lord knows VIDEO GAMES 2017 has already sucked out enough time from me for a lifetime.
Before we begin, here’s my lists for 2015 and 2016.
Honorable Mentions:
Tumblr media
Persona 5:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaIo82uT0qs
It’s insane that this game isn’t in my top ten, hell, it’s insane that it isn’t in my top five. It’s less a commentary on Persona 5′s quality and more that the games that did make the list resonated with me a whole lot more. VG2017 truly was too powerful.
P5 is mired with stiff localization problems, but even without the loc in consideration, the thematic through-line of the game gets muddled and becomes a toothless version of the promising rebellious first ten hours the game provides by the time you reach the finish line, which also just happens to come 20 hours too late, in my opinion.
What a great looking and feeling game though.

Tales of Berseria:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYXwD2CfxOs
On the flipside we have this game, the first Tales game I’ve enjoyed since Tales of Vesperia back in 2008. This game has an amazing story and great characters with a thematic backbone that sticks to your ribs after you finish it.
Now if I didn’t hate the act of actually playing it and having to scour its way too big boring empty dungeons and crappily designed world, it’d be a list maker for sure.
OKAY NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE CERTIFIED BANGERS:
Tumblr media
10. Metroid: Samus Returns
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhQWJG-_Oco
Somehow my least favorite Metroid game got two remakes that both made my list two years in a row?? This game is pretty great in it’s own right though it has a few control scheme imperfections and I could see a switch port easily being the definitive version to get.
The reason this game really makes the list though is because of how it lives up to its title. Finally an official Nintendo Metroid game that comes out and undoes Sakamoto’s vile character assassination of Samus back in Other M. .
The queen is back, and she has been missed.

9. Horizon: Zero Dawn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD0DByDxJBA
An engrossing open world, great stealth/hunting/gathering systems AND robot dinosaurs are just a part of what makes this first outing for what seems like an extremely promising series great.
No, what really sets this game apart from its contemporaries is how it fleshes out its backstory, culminating in the creation of what might actually be the most despicable piece of shit villain ever put to writing for a video game. And he’s been dead for a thousand years so you can’t do shit to him.
Fuck you, Ted Faro.

8. Night in the Woods
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2UUFFMGcgY
This game hit extremely close to home for me. Forced to come back home to a small, dying town full of people clinging to the good old days instead of doing anything for the generation after them, having this game to play and have it be said out loud that yeah, other people are living this nightmare too, was insanely refreshing.
For as much as we all need a bit of direction sometimes, sometimes what we also need to know being a directionless 20-something asshole trying their best is okay too.
Also Gregg rulz ok.
Tumblr media
7. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNgph1g422Q
Great gameplay, great music, fun characters, one of the most fun to explore worlds in an action adventure game. This game truly nails the sense of pure adventure Ys is known for.
It’s a shame then that it’s plagued with one of the most laughable translation efforts in the industry, much of the games personality comes from the fact that even a bad localization job can’t overwrite some character quirks, but this still leaves the rest of the script feeling extremely stiff at best and incomprehensible at worst.
I hope the re-translation patch is good. Until then, Fuck NISA and have a good day.

6. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiU65nQdZE8
I would describe this game as a great first step in evolving the Zelda formula. That’s not even really that accurate, the real first step was in Link Between World’s item rental/no dungeon order systems.
Nevertheless, BOTW amazes with a sense of scope and exploration no game has ever really come close to, and achieves it almost effortlessly by simply giving you the ability to climb anything.
More music, more proper dungeons, a deeper story and a few durability tweaks are basically all you need to make the next Zelda game the easy best in series.
Tumblr media
5. Yakuza 0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYB-D9qEwzI
This isn’t the best game this year, but it is easily, no question, the MOST video game this year. 110 hours in and only 60% complete, Yakuza 0 is the game that keeps on giving, with an enthralling true crime story that reshapes what we know about its protagonists. It’s pretty much a non stop emotional thrill ride to the finish line.
It effortlessly incorporates the best side story aspects from the many games in the series to come out before it, and utilizes them with a fantastical glee that keeps you with a smile on your face for the whole run. This is easily the funniest game I’ve played this year. Thank you SEGA.
Tumblr media
4. Hollow Knight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1unm0LS10ao
God I can’t wait for this game to get ported to consoles. I bought a new laptop basically just to play this game and the absolutely enthralling metroidvania world design, hand drawn and animated aesthetic, and fantastic npc characters blew me away.
The encounter designs are tough but fair(except maybe the Colisseum) and the DLC so far has been great. I can’t wait for all the post release content to come out so I can play through it all again on Switch and probably PS4.
It’s insane only 3 people made this game.
Tumblr media
3. Super Mario Odyssey
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhciLj5VzOk
Nothing to say here that hasn’t been said by hundreds of others. SMO is pure joy distilled into video game form.
I can’t wait for Odyssey 2 to come out and somehow blow this one out of the water like Galaxy 2 did for Galaxy.
Tumblr media
2. Nier: Automata
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKOM3lNFajE
An amazing contemplation on what it means to be alive, and a thoroughly satisfying conclusion to a story that, for me at least, has been told since Drakengard in 2003. Game after game of sad tragic stories with bad endings and characters fighting an imperfect world imperfectly and only making things worse while temporarily making things better for themselves.
And really even in those cases there’s caveats.
Caviats???? Anyway.
Ending E of this game finally brings some semblance of peace for this fucked up world where a deranged killer and his dragon fell through the sky and made things the worst for everyone for literally tens of thousands of years. Finally Devola and Popola can sleep. All is well.

1. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wld2q4mLhYM
Another year, another Trails game at number 1. I’ll be real with you, I’m about to drop a bunch of personal rambly stuff about what this entire trilogy means to me so if you don’t wanna read that, that’s fine.
This game is basically a perfect epilogue to a game that means a whole lot to me and serves as an amazing capper to an amazing jrpg trilogy.
When I first played Trails in the Sky First Chapter, it was the PC version in 2014. Now in 2014 I was coming off being in college for about 6 years, switching majors a few times and not really being into what I was doing but, yknow, you gotta major in something and then you gotta get a job, that’s kind of what getting started as an adult is.
So I played this weird little jrpg that was, fundamentally, about a country and the people in it trying to move on from a tragic war years prior, hiding their still fresh wounds in plain sight and just trying to go on with their lives.
It was an extremely interesting game, for how plot-light it was in the early goings, you got to really feel the struggle of these people and the unseemly past they were trying to run away from or avoid repeating. This underlying conflict builds and builds until we can’t ignore it anymore.
When I played Second Chapter a year later, I had been laid off from a job I got right out of College and had no employment prospects. I hated the fact that I’d spent basically my entire adult life up to that point doing something I wasn’t passionate about and then got let down by the system.
At the same time, the shame of my situation lead me to close up and not tell anyone about the problems I had, I was broke, I owed two months rent, on the verge of getting evicted, I felt extremely alone.
All this to get to the point that Second Chapter was ultimately a game about pulling out the dark shit we don’t like talking about and saying “it’s okay to talk about this stuff, there’s always someone who will listen.” It got me to get over myself somewhat and actually reach out for help, and I’m really thankful for it not letting me hit rock bottom.
Two years later still, I’m in a much better place, I finally feel happy about where my life is and what I’m doing and oh boy here comes Trails in the Sky the 3rd.
Completing the journey I started back in 2014, I found myself playing a game all about how it’s okay to acknowledge the bad things that happened to us, so long as we learn and move on from them accordingly.
This trilogy has so much heart, and so many memorable characters, and so much to say. It’s so, so special to me, and I was openly weeping when all the characters I’ve come to know and love over 4 years finally parted ways.
Thank you Falcom for making these games, and thank you Xseed for bringing these games to us.
TL;DR
