Yesterday was my birthday and today I used my new pens to practice for a project that I want to bring to you to the conventions next year: live character drawings. At my recent exhibitions I was repeatedly asked whether I would also do character drawings which you can take home with you straight away. Because my style is usually quite detailed (you know: I LOVE details 😉), this wasn't feasible for me until now because it would take far too long. So I thought I'd just practice it every day from now on with a new (faster) style so that I can offer it at my exhibitions next year. This is my first result. What do you think?

"Buddies by the Sea" - Personal Art 2023 This painting is once again a daily sketch that then became a finished picture (unplanned). 😉 I was a little longing for summer and took a photo of our vacation to Croatia this year for a study, which I then modified a bit. You can see my daughter Mina on the beach. When I showed her the painting, she was delighted with her new friend, whom she immediately named "Leo". She says that she probably played with him a lot on vacation and that you can only see him in photos and that she is happy that I took a picture with him. Oh…I just love my children's imagination!❤

Okay, it's just the fifth day of Inktober and I realize that I can't keep up anymore. In addition to working on my commissions, it is not possible for me to produce a full drawing every day. Well, then I know that now. We keep learning.😅
